"Capacity. Could it be that. There are high numbers of new cova cases and hospitalizations. Now that you know people like you have failed to encourage people to get vaccinated. Like i love how he did that. I love you just immediately deflected. It was like wow what a great job with hospital. No you're not. you're not doing a great job with hospital capacity. You're not when the hospitals are overwhelmed with cova patients. You're doing a poor job in managing the situation and the audacity for him to point to president joe biden. It'd be like a home. A discussion with these governors know. Maybe maybe he knows what's going on. And he says the failure of gop governors like mr rickets and has decided to finally show some leadership on the vaccination issue and by the way. It's only it's companies. With a hundred employees or more that are not mandated to get back. They are told you should get vaccinated but if your employees do knocking vaccinated. They need to submit to cova tests every week. Honestly i would go further. If i were present. I'd be like no vaccine mandate no exceptions other than if there's a health issue with getting vaccinated. I wouldn't even make an exception for religious reasons. Sorry when your religious beliefs her harm public health. We got a public health above your religious beliefs. I'm sorry we don't live in a theocracy. You don't like it too bad. Oh god thinks that. I have a right to make you sick. Well not the constitution. Doesn't and i know you don't believe that you think the constitution is the bible. But it isn't and you're ignorant okay. Now he says ome. We're doing a good job. Managing hospital crazy. You know what would help you manage us little capacity if you encourage people take the vaccine. Your hospitals wouldn't be filled up with unvaccinated people who have grown a virus. Now look and. I think there's two different kinds of republican politicians. The ones that are Mouth breathing themselves in the rebel in lying. And there's so if they had gone to question like records said they would have been like. Oh it's the problem with the why we having more cova cases because one we're not to do not give me enough ivermectin three freedom right so this guy is said bird himself in a pile of numbers. And you could tell you i. I know you think i'm extrapolating. Can you tell even his facial expressions. It's kinda embarrassed when he did that. Ridiculous attack on biden and then he just kind of pulls back like he seems unfazed by every he's like you know why because he got it and by the way i tell you this from having read. A lot of the governor's reactions not his across the country throughout these last two years and and half the republican politicians in the beginning were at different points. Came on even governor ivy in alabama was like hey get vaccinated. What are you guys doing. This is crazy right. Also against maxie manning. Now she's turned around why because they say things. That are rashly to four. And in their pollster comes in and says oh my god. You're not gonna believe this. But repealing voters in the state eight four. You've gotta say that it's five and so they come and go jump. Plus two equals five. That's what i meant. Five equals freedom. Okay that's what it is. And i don't care so that's why it's voters are mouth breeders. So yes the virus actually buyers misinformation starts in shows like tucker carlson's then spreads to the voters and then it percolates up to the other half the republican politicians because the the other half were happy to abbots etc. The santa's were part of the original virus. Along with tucker. Carlson is spreading horrible misinformation for their own political purposes. So it's it's a nightmare choice of all of these goals and goblins and the republican party. And if you're offended by that were offended that you're getting our fellow. Americans killed at two hundred times the size of nine eleven and everybody should be thousand times more offended by that that oh my god the poor feelings of republicans as they like to infect everyone else in the country. I don't care about your stupid feelings. Yeah exactly and look he wanted to rick instead. He wanted to pivot toward a discussion about like. Oh but shoulder you know. Children are safe. You know it's not a problem and chris wallace who is credit redirected the conversation to where it needed to be but i do want to answer the issue involving children and corona virus. So new york magazine report to recently that last week saw over two hundred fifty thousand new child child corona virus cases which according to the american academy of pediatrics is higher than at any point in the pandemic it also means that children now account for more than a quarter of all new cases. Now this is true. Most kids experience mild cases of corona virus Thanks to there's a strong immune systems and the under eighteen set still accounts for fewer new hospitalizations than any other age bracket but as of september second data from twenty four states found that under two percent of corona virus cases in children resulted in hospitalization. So kids are in fact being hospitalized. So it really depends on a number of factors But the spike in hospitalizations is especially concerning why given the capacity of pediatric icu. Units which averaged just twelve beds per hospital in louisiana and texas children's hospitals are completely overwhelmed with federal search teams bringing emergency workers into help meanwhile their disingenuous. An immoral leaders continued. Tell them it's optional. It's not a big.

"To bring your dog to your next little outdoor dining experience, you might have a little bit more luck with this. Now. She signed HB, which means House Bill 2 35 in the law, which allows restaurants to establish a pet friendly patio for diners who want to bring their dogs with them to dinner. Now she's signed a bill allowing restaurants for the pet friendly patio. Which to me, says outdoors. I know there's some places like breweries where you can take your actual dogs inside. I don't have a problem with that. I know some people think. Oh my gosh. What's the dog doing inside the restaurant? Now? There are some stipulations when it comes to this HB 2 35 bill that Governor Ivy's now signed into law restaurants who hope to allow their dog owners on site Gonna meet some conditions, Several conditions, actually. Uh, For instance, restaurants were required to create or designate an outdoor entrance, so the dogs and enter without going inside the restaurant and also display a sign that identifies the specific area where dogs are welcome. The area must be at least Well Free 12 ft, rather from any bar or area where beverages are prepared. I don't know why they're concerned about then I can't remember. Last time I saw a dog coughing. I don't think that's an issue. Is it? Restaurant employees are also prohibited from having direct engagement with the dog. So your waiter waitress can't be sitting there petting the dog and all of a sudden, you know, bringing your food out to you. Additionally, dogs required to be leased and never beyond chairs or other pictures in the out. There were area Don't let him climb up in your seat and start licking your spaghetti sauce off the plane. Not a good idea. Hey, look, I got a friend. What's your dog? "Have chosen representative released if Annick Republican out of New York to fill the leadership post recently occupied by Liz Cheney, Republican from Wyoming, according to GOP age now, Yeah, replacing a harsh critic of the former president Donald Trump of the lawmaker who has become one of his staunchest defenders. She received 134 votes. Another representative, Chip Roy was up for this potentially getting it. He only received 46. So Yeah, At least the panic was he expected one and she is now officially taking Liz Cheney's post. Talk a bit more about this. Paul DiMarco joins us now, Paul. Good morning. Welcome in. Good morning J T to you and your listeners. I hope you're all well today. Thanks, buddy. You too, So I don't think we're surprised that this but it is official now, and Liz Cheney still doubling down and vowing to not let President Trump get near the the Oval Office again why she needs to start focusing on the current situation done. She get that really mere ripped out of her vehicle. What? You look at the crisis at the border this stagnant job growth, the tax hike being pushed by the bite administration. Lumber costs skyrocketing gas lines. I mean, this is should be the focus of the, uh Republicans in United States House of Representatives as we move towards 2022. In and why she wasn't replaced earlier because she's really not focused on what Republican voters and I'm not just Republican voters. But I think American voters are focused on is the problems that this administration has had 100 days in. No, you look at the guest 100 days going on four months now, right? This country is basically upside down from where we were. When President Trump was very, I mean, it is disastrous. Pick a topic, pick an area and pick a location in the world. What's going on with this administration right now is chaos to me. And at some point I don't believe these polls had saved 60% approval rating for President Biden right now, who did they pull in this Democratic voters? Democratic members of Congress? I mean, I'm not buying that This country's a mess right now. It really is in like you said. It doesn't matter. What if you look either domestically or foreign affairs, you look what's going on in Israel. Right now. You know, Donald Trump said. We're not going to give These funds. If you're gonna support terrorists, the goodbye to get them gives them money. Guess what? You have a crisis in Israel and in the Middle East, no matter where you look Things have gotten worse. And that's why Liz Cheney should have been focused on Joe Biden. And that's why she ended up being replaced. Good move, All right, let's talk about Tim Montgomery here, and what's happening is the governor is dropping this federal unemployment benefit. I think everybody ought to be doing this, including the White House, enough already, unless you've got extenuating circumstances. From the pandemic. The free money has got to got to turn this. Pick it off. There are jobs available out there. People are having a tough time finding employees enough already. J. T and I drove down the Baldwin County last week and up and down. I 65 wherever I stopped. There will help wanted times. And this this this was a good move by the governor. You know, South Carolina had done and I believe Montana had done it. Other states are doing this. Um, There are jobs out there. Folks would hire people and and this is suppressed the job market. So it was a good move by the government by the governor and hopefully with the lights on in his head on a pandemic. This is what needed to happen to get people back in the workforce. Businesses need employees. And folks shouldn't you know should be at home when their job available out there. So I commend the governor for her move and doing this and and you're right. Jakey. Joe Biden should be doing this as well as it's supposed to just extending this throughout to September in the fall. Yeah, absolutely. All right, Let's talk about what's happening. I talked with Bill Britt earlier this morning. L reporter dot com on some of these bills, the medical marijuana bill, the gambling bill. Daylight Saving Bill. Apparently Governor Ivy is studying the medical marijuana bill. Where are you on this? And where do you think it's gonna end up maybe Monday with a decision. You know what I like A lot of folks have concerned about on the last day of the session. There was a lot of issues brought up about the concern. The Alabama Department forensic science reports that when folks were pulled over for D U I's the highest Kim can in their blood is THC. And there was an amendment to the bill. That said, Hey, look, you can't use Ah, Medical cannabis card is an excuse If you're pulled over for for being impaired while driving. The governor's really got to address that. I mean, we've seen across the country places like Colorado, the number of fatalities that are due to THC in the system. And so I really do hope the governor looks at all of this, and some were sent will pass this regardless. The safety of motorists on Alabama Road should be a priority over passing this bill. We already have too many deadly driving accidents due to do you I and we don't need to add to it. And so I hope the governor really studied this in the other concerns with the bill as well, So I really do hope the governor's looks at this before she decides whether she's going to sign this or not. Well, I agree with you there, Paul I'm in favor of her signing the medical marijuana bill because there are benefits medically for people. Uh, you know, with marijuana, it's that's a fact. Now. It is also a fact that it's against a lot of drive impaired whether it's you know, beer, whiskey, marijuana. Uh, you know, even things like Valium or prescriptions that are, you know, gonna make you loopy drug You know, the warning label that says don't operate heavy machinery while taking this drug Should be taken seriously. Legal or not. If you're impaired, you shouldn't be driving. Right in. The problem is that you know you're going to see folks trying to use this and it's happening. Other states use this card is defense..

"Bread is back Our buddy and Montgomery Bill welcome. And thanks for being here. Thanks for having me JT. Big money coming up. What's that? Big Monday coming. All right, Well, let's talk. Let's talk about it. I know that. You know, they've been busy down in Montgomery working on a number of bills and Governor Ivy. She's got the pen out as well. So Where shall we start? Let's start with Monday. What are we expecting? On Monday? Well what we're hearing and these air, fairly reliable sources, but everything's liable to change before we get to Monday. But there seems to be in agreement on the gaming bill. Right gave me a lot. And, uh, we're hearing that the Rules committee will be meeting on Sunday to discuss the calendar. You know, the rules Committee sets the calendar for the house where I could be on it What they can get accomplished. And we're hearing the game and Bill and lottery bill will be on the calendar for Monday. Of course, caviar is everything to change. Always, you know, that's the only consistent thing in Montgomery. Everything can change. And, uh, we've been back and forth so much on the lottery slash gaming bill here. What are the latest changes in compromises and adjustments that have gone on? But there's a couple of sticking points. You know, they had a bill worked out. We had the the tracks, which already had Class three gang by the way, you know, cars regaining his dog tracks racetracks that kind of thing. Had the Porch Creek Indians because they have contact well, that was all worked out and then folks down and doth and wanted their little kind of the pie because they do big go down there. And then they include them and then a long time you louse County and they want a little slice of the pie. And so you know all the sudden you've got all these interest groups that say, Hey, what about us? And so what happens when you start peeling off boats, So they had the votes and they didn't have boats and You know, it's like every year at the end the session we start off the year with everybody acting like they love each other. It's like high school union or coming back the first day of school and then by the end this like a terrible family gathering. Everybody just ate each other. Can't wait for them to go home on. That's where we are, You know, hopefully, the last 10 days people have got over there hurt feelings, and we'll sit down on the table that like adults and get something done. The people of Alabama there. It is the expert in Montgomery that you are knowing the lay of the land with everybody. That's got their differences. Do you think we get someplace on this and get it signed? Well, like I've said before, you know, we had a little farm outside of a talent. Alabama. We've got a couple of acres. I might bet one on it, but I wouldn't bet the farm. Okay. All right. Well, let's talk about the medical marijuana Bill. Um Is this legal? Mm hmm. Holy cow. All right, so they passed the medical marijuana bill. It passed. The house passed seven. Does the governor and she studied I don't know what that means. But I do the whole studying there studying, you know they we've had this bill for several months, and we've gotta study some more. So you know, it's sort of like Bill Clinton, You said experimented with marijuana. We got down there with the Bunsen burner in the basement or something. Anyway, they're still studying. Uh, what's going on? Is that some people want the level of THC to be so low. It's negligible if you would get pulled over by a state trooper. Now, come on. You know what? Look, did this to me. They work these things. You know? Bass Ackwards. What they need. What they need to do is get the medical professionals at the head of the table with Mr Common Sense sitting on both sides of the room as well. You know, Let's talk about medically. What's good with this, how it works, what's needed to make it work and find a way to distribute the medical version. Of marijuana. And that's it. That's your right. But see, the thing is is you can't get common sense. You know, it's it's like, you know, today, finding two Bhai's men and a virgin, You know it's very difficult. T 03 Wiseman. I'm sorry. I should have said that. But if would you lurk in the gunnery like I do every day? Have to deal with this nonsense, you know? Can you just use a little common sense? I mean, my grandmother was slap you around the head and neck. You know, I would like I'm gonna officially, uh go ahead, make myself available. Now, if you're in politics in this state, and you want to bring common sense to the room I'm available, all right. I'll come and sit and listen to both sides of whatever is going on. One hour and I'll give you two sentences on what we ought to do, and you can use it or not use it, but I'm available for common sense. Way needed, You know, a little more Solomon down there and little less. Should we do it, Louie or whatever doing TV now craziness. The Three Stooges, Right, man. Just use common sense. And listen to the professional medical marijuana. Hope everybody gets somewhere on all of this by Monday, and you're right. It is gonna be kind of an interesting money and see where we land Bill Bread. Have a good weekend. Thank you for being with me. I appreciate you. Thank you. It's 603 at Alabama's Morning news with JT I'm Leah Brandon Governor Kay Ivey is asking Alabamians to use common sense and patients as drivers face gas shortages because of the colonial pipeline shutdown. The governor says Alabama and should not Philip cars or multiple gas cans unless it's necessary, she says overreacting just creates more of a shortage. Mark Fletcher with the petroleum and convenience marketers of Alabama agrees. Jokingly referred to Is Cove in Toilet Paper Shortage, Part two. If people would just maintain their normal purchasing habits, we would probably get through this without any issues, he says. I promise you that we'll do it again tomorrow. I've got a trip today to give away this week. So be back again tomorrow morning. Good luck. Hope you you win. Well, I'll tell you what. This is a crazy story here. Uh, if Tiger King taught us anything, it's that normal. People don't own tigers, and here's another example of what's happening here. This past Sunday night. Have you seen this? A tiger was loose in the neighborhood in Houston, Texas? Yeah, in actual tiger, just walking around the street. And there's even video of it of an off duty cop who lives in the area who's pointing a gun at the tiger and telling its owner to get back inside. Now the video's full of F bombs so you don't be carefully a lot of language. But the point is, there's a tiger walking around just regular suburban neighborhood and off duty. Cops got the gun and there's somebody in the background, you know, after this side Trying to get this tiger. Apparently, it's his right. So who's the honor? Apparently, this is a doozy. Here. He is a 28 year old guy named Victor Quarvez. And he doesn't just have a tiger. Oh, no. He's also a murder suspect who's out on bond. Yeah, he shot and killed a guy back in 2017. He says it was self defense. But he's facing murder charges, and he's got a live tiger as a pet. Anyway, this off duty cop called for backup. So, Victor, the guy with your, you know warrant, and they're the trial coming up for murder, put his tiger into his white jeep and took off. They were on the run until Victor was caught yesterday and he was hit with a felony charge for evading arrest. The tiger is still missing in action. Yikes, Victor's lawyer already trying Tolo spin, This is some crazy theories. On quote. People are making a lot of assumptions here. Second Opinion
Standing up for women
"This is Dr Michael Wilks with a second opinion. This week is Alabama's governor Kay Ivey signed the nation's most restrictive abortion Bill a near total ban on abortions, it focused attention on how women's health and well-being has become a punching bag. It's also a sad period for women and doctors nurses, who have vowed to take care of them. A doctor who terminates a pregnancy could be sentenced to a far longer term than the man who rapes the woman got her pregnant in the first place, there are some people who value the human life, even before it's a life when an embryo, is no more than an organized collection of cells, like a tumor but they don't care about real kids and families who are standing at our borders, pleading for asylum, because their lives back home are total hell these Americans. They shout from the highest peaks that every. He life is precious. But then they say to children you can't come to our loving, family friendly nation. They have no compassion, or understanding for a woman who just can't handle any more children who can't afford to feed them or as no safe place for them to live, who needs to work to feed her other children know in fourteen of our states. These women will not be allowed to end their own pregnancies in their own bodies. I'm sorry to tell our legislators that committed doctors and other health providers will not stop terminating pregnancies. They just won't you see their drive is not legal. They don't March to the desires of legislators. There's is a moral drive these health providers. They believe in autonomy in allowing women to make choices about their own bodies and they believe that they'll make the best choices. They believe that because they have seen this time and time again, that, if a woman doesn't want to carry a pregnancy to term our societies in new position to force that upon them any more than our government is in a position to raise the children for the women. They see what happens to unwanted children. They see our dysfunctional abusive foster care system. Our group homes are receiving homes. They've seen women who can't stop using drugs, but who can at least make the right decision to not carry an intoxicated, fetus to term our healthcare providers will stand up tall and advocate for our patients, even when there are entire prison wards entire prisons filled with doctors and nurses, sentenced to jail for caring for their patients. More doctors will come behind him to care for and protect women. And when they're arrested more will come. Behind them. We're not training doctors and nurses to be pawns on a chessboard. They're not technicians or followers are health providers are professionals devoted to doing what they believe is the right thing for our patients governor Ivy Brett Cav now and the religious, right? Cannot put this genie back into the bottle. This is Dr Michael Wilks with a second opinion.
