That state deals with a huge surge in cova crisis at least one michigan hospital the mclaren port huron hospitals at one hundred percent capacity as of this morning chief medical officer. The michigan health and hospital association said today they expect the number of hospitalizations in the state to beat last fall's peak to head up higher than they have ever been before during the crisis at all. This is the daily new reported coronavirus cases in michigan. Right now there are dozens of states that are having covid case numbers spike across the country but michigan is by far the worst. Still though even in light of that today. The white house confirmed again that they're not planning to send an extra allocation of vaccines to to michigan. That is what governor gretchen. The white house says they will send other resources to michigan to try to help but not additional vaccine supplies when you have an acute situation Extraordinary number of cases like we have in michigan. COVID-19 Spreading 'Like Wildfire' in Michigan

"Spreading like wildfire. It's breaking their hearts were exhausted. Emotionally hospital admissions jumping nearly 30% in the upper Midwest. In just the past week, the CDC ranking Michigan the number one hot spot in the country and hospitals feeling the strain some patients facing 8 to 10 hour wait times those hospitalized, shifting away from now vaccinated older Americans to those unvaccinated younger adults. Now we're seeing that kind of 40 to 59 age group is the largest group that's getting infected. Certainly certainly seeing some Children. They're getting l. But it's really that young adult population that's driving a lot of the cases. So for us this surge is bigger than it was a year ago, doctors say, driving the surge, a mix of reduced restrictions, pandemic fatigue and the UK variant, which now accounts for 70% of the new cases in Michigan. The federal government now sending Michigan more personnel to administer vaccines. The governor Gretchen Whitmer, doubling down that our state needs more shots when there is a surge. "Election and the Aftermath of all that you're seeing on your television screen and depending on which news channel you're watching. You're getting different versions of the story. Some some. The networks have different states called for the different candidates. And today what you began to see with some of the litigated action that I predicted we would start to see. A couple of days ago, But now it's really in full effect. We've got lawsuits that are being level we've got recounts that have been launched. Canvassing already started in Wisconsin and friends. If you don't think that this is going to be one of the most important Of events in American history. You just you just on the wrong planet, and that's it's for that reason. That I am specifically interested in the story of my next guest, because what follows is a firsthand account of someone who is by his admission, a credential poll watcher. Hey, was trained via a thing called the Election Integrity Fund. He's agreed to be publicly interviewed, and we assume as I was made aware of his story we planned on booking him today We will try to tell his story as best we can. But I believe that what you're about to hear as shared on this show might even be presentable evidence for litigation against the Michigan Board of Elections or whatever the equivalent offices in that state. Feel free to get the podcast of this, redistribute it. There's a written version of what we're going to talk about on my website, the bench thinker dot com so you could go and get that as well. This person has agreed to be on the record and I pray that what we hear in the next few minutes will help us resolve this fiasco as it has unfolded on our country. And with that, I'd like to introduce Gordon Pennington, who joins us from Michigan today, Gordon, thank you for taking the time to be here. That's a pleasure, Kevin. Thanks for being interested in telling this story. When we talk about elections, and I said this on Twitter a couple of days ago illegal election on DH. I think that the only elections that that really have any benefit are ones that are done legally. You have a set of criteria that defined them. You have limited participants. In other words, only the people that you say can participate in those would be the ones that would get two. You have a limited amount of time. We don't just open the polling on January 1st and shut it off on November 2nd. We have a window of time that is allowed. And then there are usually very strict rules about the transparency of how those votes which are necessarily cast in private, then get counted for the good of the community. If you don't have those three things, limitations on persons limitations on time and very strict limits on transparency. You do not have. What in my mind is a lawful election. You have a story to tell. And I want you to trace it for us. Starting back on the day of Election day for you here in 2020. What happened? Kevin. Ah, I had been traveling. I got back to Michigan the night before the election. And I wanted to be here in the small town where I grew up in Michigan to be able to be at the Poles at 7 A.m. got there a little after seven. They're already long lines of people and very orderly and friendly. I knew some of their friends and neighbors in my precinct where I grew up. And where I'm registered to vote, and it was all very It was all done. Very, very official is a beautiful day. Uh, unseasonably mild, I think and for this time of year in Michigan And it went smoothly. There were social distancing people wear masks, or they were prepared to vote. I think people have made up their minds. Ah earlier, obviously, but I think some of the Issue's on the ballot probably weren't immediately familiar to people some of the proposals and some of the independent votes for the judiciary, but otherwise it went smoothly were in and out of there by the time I voted. I was voter. This is before 7 30. I was voted number 525, and that was very high number in my precinct. Especially that early in the morning, and this story goes back a few weeks because I've been introduced Tio friends and we were actually very concerned about what's happening in this country day and we started having conversations as far back as May. In homes and in groups because we were told that by Governor Gretchen Whitmer that the purpose of the lock down was to simply flatten the curve, and once we would get past the apex Of hospitalizations. We would be free to go back and conduct our business is will this plan on? You know, we're told initially two weeks. And then two more weeks and on and on and on, as many people know in your listening audience, probably that Governor Gretchen Whitmer was operating under an outdated Public Act 302 of 1945, and toward the end of the second World War, there was concerned that there might be a atomic war. So the governor of Michigan was then. Accorded special executive emergency powers under which to operate and Gretchen Whitmer carried on with this even though ahead, there had been another amendment to that inn. 1976 calling for the governor to appeal to the Legislature. Every 28 days for the extension these emergency powers what she ignored that And in the midst of all this We got together with other friends and other people. Even in our own town here, there was a barber named Carl Monkey who decided open his shop up after many weeks of this We're familiar with this story. We saw him on the news. Yeah. Well, this is Karl Banky, who first cut my hair when I was about 11 years old. So I was familiar with Carl and I knew that that backstory And this led to Ah Movement of concern among citizens here in Michigan. That really felt that they were not getting the whole truth. They're not getting the whole story. And so it's it's created a kind of constitutional wakening as people's civil rights. Were violated as their sense ofthe personal responsibility and opportunity to Khun conduct their lives and take care of their families were being Uh, challenge. This led to many changes here in mission. That's a story in and of itself. But along the way it leads to the present circumstances, and that was Set a certain chance in which I found myself. I've never been a poll worker. And I've probably like many of you here. Lifters taken my freedoms for grab it. In far too many ways, This has been an awakening moment. In the last weeks and months of this year. So it led to me getting training. Ah, a couple of weeks ago as a pole challenger, and the training was very, very interesting because I hadn't really thought about the process of what actually happens in the In the actual transport and the security and reception and counting and accounting and Authentication and adjudication and tabulation process. Where does that ballot really go? And I want to see for myself what was happening. And those of us that were trained. We're trained to an organization called the Election Integrity, Fun. Really outstanding because they want integrity. And these in the voting process minute many of my friends had Khun consider drinking and discussed. The idea is voter fraud. Really? How? Realize it out? Grade A concern is it And I've taken these things for granted for years and never really thought much about it. I know that there have been instances of elections all find back Tio Joseph P. Kennedy acquiring the election for his son, John F. Kennedy. Oh, ah, his interactions with Sam Giancana in the Chicago mob that's well established by now. But that's a pretty massive fraud. And and there's you know, Richard. No house, Nixon. Having gotten knowledge of this, actually. Did not file suit against candidates because he was concerned about the how it would impact. The mindset of the nation in that period of our national zeitgeist in a cold war, and that's the story that's that's worth looking at more closely, but having gotten the training I got in the time that I'm willing to go anywhere, you Khun send me to the most contentious or difficult places in the state. And they said, Would you be willing to come down to Detroit, Michigan Cobo Arena? And and work there under the aegis of the city of Detroit election.
