"My handle at the boxers. No. Follow me there. Of course in the car with your smart speaker Download the free I her radio up to with your smart device. And though the voice activation thing super easy to get spoiled with that, I mean, it just makes us more lazy, Of course. But you know when you can tell your smart device like Yeah, but we have the echo dots all over the house. And we have the echo shows what it's called. It can do video, but it's nice because instead of face time and my sons who are eight and five, they don't have phones yet and they shouldn't have phones. But they can call their granny and Pappy and do a little face time video with the Echo show, But it's super easy because all you have to do is say Hey, Alexa, play 16 W. T V and deny her radio and You know, the nice thing is we don't cost you a subscription. We are completely absolutely free. So try that out. If you haven't already done so, But thank you for being with us this morning. You know, big news yesterday. Coming from the governor's office and by the way, governor to wine will be with us to break down the rollout of the vaccines for Franklin County schools and Did not just frankly, county but central Ohio tomorrow morning, so he's going to be set for around 7 12 with us talking about that. And how about the curfew? I don't know about you, but I'm feeling like we're starting to see Ah little bit of light. At the end of the tunnel. This pandemic has been hard on so many. I'm watching it right now is a matter of fact with my wife. Her grandmother is in a retirement home. Very, very strong woman. She's I think 89 89 or 90. She's been in there for the past five years. She had lived on her own, but she slipped and fell and typical story just couldn't be taken care of on her own. So I had to go live here in New Albany. And, um, she's towards the end of her life. Now got Cove. It should be Cove it, But now she's struggling with post Cove it and it doesn't look good for So yesterday we went out and outside of her window made signs and just so she could see us and we waved and Um I. It's an awful just terrible. I want to throw it a bunch of nasty words. But I'm not allowed to say them, but it's It's just It's awful. So if you've had to go through that my my heart goes out to you. Because it's it's just it's absolutely nasty and to not be able to hold someone's hand to have to do it through a phone, which isn't the same toe have to be able to say goodbye through a window. Is, um There's nothing more just that destroys and shatters the heart. I think than that. So the good news my whole Spiegel. There is the curfew has been bumped to 11 o'clock now and I'm so happy for our bars and a restaurant's who have been struggling. This is absolutely good news. I think that our is going to make a big difference with their money making in their pockets. We continue that for the next seven days with 3000 more of this story, the hospitalizations as they continue to go down. We keep this rolling. We keep going. In a few weeks. We might not have a curfew here, so let's just keep it up. Mask up. Watch those hands. I'm tired of hearing all that, too. I really am, but we got to do it. And it's happening. We're seeing the light at the end of the tunnel. Yesterday, Governor Dwight also talked about the schools who were all out the vaccine rollout next week. Some of those places most teachers won't have bowled shots by the way. Until March, 1st returning to classes. That's been the governor's whole goal anyways, to get kids back in school full time by March, 1st and it's exciting to see that Counties with the most covert cases right now are Franklin with little over 103 cases to yoga and then Hamilton and Montgomery following suit after that, But Columbus City schools and more than sin will receive those vaccines through the public Health Department. At a drive through at the State fairgrounds. Meanwhile, we mentioned this yesterday Hill, Your Davidson High School and Reynoldsburg High School will be the two sites used by Kroger Health and the Grocery Stores Chains Healthcare Division. They have about 15,000 doses. So other than that, you've got Hilliard Reynoldsburg. They're moving to remote learning in February, 4th and fifth just to protect against that potential staff shortage. Whitehall City schools, partnering with a school based health center. Hello or public health district will vaccinate at the county district employees with all in Tangiers schools, So the logistics they're they're they're getting them rolled out. It's pretty exciting. Like I said light at the end of the tunnel, and a new poll is out. Showing that Americans want to get the cove in 19 vaccine more now than what they did just a few months ago by yesterday, pledging another 200 million more doors doses. And the short order, But to inoculate everyone 16 and older Theo us will need 506 100. I thought 600 million actually. Doses, because right now we don't have Johnson and Johnson with one shot. Both Fizer modern, as you know, have the two shot process and wow, a legend has passed. Cloris Leachman. Well known for just the woman was absolutely funny whether it's young Frankenstein, whether it was the Mary Tyler Moore show, and I had to laugh. I think I was reading a piece about her Anobit on ABC yesterday. A B C or fox and they were talking about how Cloris Leachman just after you've been alive for a while. You know this and they were talking about Oh, she made it big in the eighties. No G. I mean, I would say whatever strides was certainly the Mary Tyler Moore Show you have the facts of life in the eighties. Malcolm in the middle. She won an Oscar for best supporting actress for the last picture show. But what if I favor of Ovitz? Believe it or not? It wasn't a movie. It was actually dancing with the stars. Let's listen to this court has a trick. He gives you a specific character to work on. So what was your character for this dance tonight? The salsa. Hey, something hold. What do you call? They.

"Good afternoon. Welcome. Any smart blazer with Josh Cease and station again from ABC six. Fox 28 Station. Welcome in Thank you. Can we talk about that wind out there today? I did not give it enough credit on I was getting gas. And now thank goodness for social distancing Because no one is gonna want to be around me. I reek of gasoline, one of those people that that Enjoys that smell. Yeah, There's some people that really like the smell of gasoline. I'm not one of those people, so I don't even want to be around me right now. Well, let me Okay. That's a good headline station again, ABC six bucks. 28 smells like gas. All right, that's a s o with the wind. So you're saying you were the nozzle? You were behind the nozzle? The wind was coming at you, and somehow it blew onto you. You know it blew onto me. But I try to be aware. I mean, if the wind is going this way, don't stand this way from the gas, But it just There was just too much wind or I don't know what happened. It happened very fast, and I was trying to get here. To chat with you and be on time and I was in a hurry. And now I reek. Blame it on. The DJ said Always our fault. Absolutely. That's okay. I got broad shoulders. I can't take it. Um, yeah, All right. So at least you know the good thing about that It will dissipate. You know that it evaporates so eventually you'll stop smelling like that. I'm not sure exactly when, but can you pinpoint on your person Where that is that actual I got here in time to like, Just scrub scrub. Scrub my hands. I think it's on my coat. Okay? I changed my shoes. I had a backup pair of shoes in the car. So changed my shoes, So I think we're good there, so I think it's Definitely on my car all over my car and my gloves and my coat. Ooh. Okay, so it okay? Oh, Like I said, it will dissipate eventually be a long night. It's gonna be a long night. I'll wash it all when I get home, But my day's just started. So right. Well, thank you for I'm sorry you hurried And as a result, it sounds like maybe a little mishap there, But thank you nonetheless. For joining us. There's a C B J first home game tonight, so there's that we have to be excited about versus the Tampa Bay Lightning. Nobody will be able to attend as far fans but at least we'll be able to watch. Hockey is back in the jackets or one in three. So I'm hoping that you know, we get a good result from the Columbus Blue Jackets tonight. Although it is The Tampa Bay Lightning, So I'm not your core. Pi's supposed to go in net tonight. Um, so, yeah, go jackets tonight at at Nationwide Arena A and it's It's good to have home hockey back. Are they sure they're gonna be allowed to play? Is the governor gonna allow him to play? He's allowed him to play right. It's so nice of him. If you're going to be watching in a bar, though you need to be out of the bar by 10 P.m.. Because well, I I guess You know, they'll soon be, you know, in, like, two weeks. Wait note now into, uh, no couple more weeks. Just three more. Wait. No, it's indefinitely indefinitely. This is, uh he won't be satisfied until every bar and restaurant in the state is out of business. At this rate. This is unreal. It's in indefinite. Hospitalizations air going down across the Ohio and what this proves is that once it's taken away, it's getting it back is like climbing a hill, you know, made of ice. It's what it's like. And it is, I'll say it has had no effect on the numbers. It's a ridiculous policy in my opinion. And all it does is encourage house parties and people to get together in private, where their way less inclined to wear a mask and do all the social distancing and they in Washington Dada Dada. And it's just to me it's just a continued failure of leadership. It's just shows me again the incompetence of what we're going through here and what our leaders are scrambling to do. And to act like this curfew has made any impact and then to extended indefinitely, which is only going to make what has been the worst year ever for Barn restaurant's owners even harder. I just I'm not. I can't even get mad anymore. I'm just like I'm sad. I don't understand that the word indefinitely was used, right? I didn't watch. I didn't hear basically, Yeah, okay, because to not even set another date is it's disheartening man at this point. And, Yeah, I was gonna say, I think the big question because Governor Dwight doesn't want bars and restaurants to closed indefinitely, Which I know is is the fear for a lot of people and we hear that from bar owners to that they're gonna have to this is going to shut them down. I think the question is what what will get These bars and restaurants open again later because the governor keeps saying We're not there yet. We're not there yet. Well, what is the threshold, I think is the real question going forward. What are the numbers that we need to see in order for us to get to that point when bars and restaurants can Stay open later. If I can say this what it even matter if he gives us some sort of a goal, because I got to tell you way back if you'll remember right? It was not going to be very long before we Needed to flatten the curve. And, as we all know is we've all heard a million times. The goalpost continue to be moved. And at this point I don't know what it even doesn't even benefit us to hear anything. Does it give any kind of hope? Because at this point are we going? Yeah, Whatever. You're crying Wolf, and you know it's given us some sort of a date or anything like that. It's just getting. It's just getting tiresome. TOC say the least and to continue this when we are on a downward trend, and to just say, Well, it's just a couple of days or it's you know, not been long enough or not, but you know, we were making a joke earlier. I think What's it gonna? I guess it's going to take zero infections, and it's probably gonna have to be several years of that happening before they begin to consider reopening. This is getting silly. It's silly, so I would give anything to trade our governor for the governor of Florida. I'll just say that Stannis is I would give anything to have run to San. This is our governor instead of what we're stuck with now. This eye. And, um, I talked to a guy down there because my aunt uncle, they have a condo on Longboat Key, which is their Sarasota. And it's there there, dear. Okay, like they're not going to go under because Now again, those aren't necessarily late night places in that area, particularly because it's you know, generally an older crowd or whatever. But the restaurants and bars. There are thriving because generally they're only open till midnight. One o'clock anyway for You know, like the late younger and by younger I mean, people in their forties and fifties who enjoy, you know, post profession Day a professional work going out having a cocktail. Getting a nice see later. Yeah, Yeah, Those places air find down there. What we're up here and you're that people in tears, describing their situation I just and when you look at the Florida cases, it is interesting to see the their trend has been upwards since Halloween as well and they're working on an almost 12,000 new cases. Her day average right now, But the trends looks similar to what we see in Ohio, so it is theirs. It's interesting, the different approaches that we're looking at from these two governors right and the numbers are still going to say and then obviously, Florida has a much higher population than Ohio. So that's that would transform in reflective but the trends as far as them sure cases on their way up since Since approximately Halloween they're seeing that similarly as well and a little bit of a dip based on the numbers since the start of the year. Kind of like us, because two weeks ago we were seeing Much higher numbers that we're seeing right now. The numbers are still high based on what we've been seeing, But we're the three week average right now for us here has has kind of maintained. Yeah. Eyes. Anybody feeling the unity yet? I was just can you feel the love Just you feeling unity? I was wondering if you're feeling yes. I put on the Lion King and listen to the Elton John song And we all know I I don't know. No, it does. Nothing feels different station, have you? I don't know you maybe Begin feeling the unity. I'm not sure I It's one of those things that I sit here and I go. All right. I've got something..

"True that matter of fact, in my course of the career, I have ran into every single situation you just described. You leave the house, you know, expecting to go, you know, check fishing license and things like that, and you're right and run into a drug deal. You run into Someone with very serious warrant. You do run into other situations were out there protecting the resource and the wildlife. But you know you're in the woods. You're in these remote places. You do. Women end up the other segments of success Society. Not don't going. You know any of that has anything to do with the incident that Kevin better certainly was involved with this yesterday. But in general, yes, running around you, you contact multiple people in society once again, Monster decent But there is There is definitely that group and you don't know it all the time going out, so we we do. I will say this way have some of the best law enforcement training. I would put our our training and our trainers and And what we go through right up there with anybody coming way practice and we train and we qualify. Um we are very well trained individuals, and I think that's why this This doesn't happen You know more often is because because of that night I know Kevin was extremely well trained. He He took his training serious, You know, I like said no demand for years, just a super good officer. We were really, really praying for him and his family media accounts. He was there airlifted to University of since I'm Medical Center, which is about The best facility in the world for gunshot wounds. They have about 400 a year that come through there, and there's no there's no facility in the Midwest. Better a gunshot wounds. Then you see medical, which is why he was flown there and We wish Wish him well, and his family give our best to Kathy and Brian Banbury once again. Thank you for coming on the Bill Cunningham show And if you get in update and the next few days just drop a line to chip heart. You've got a hold on me and we'll get it on the air. We'll do that, Bill. I appreciate you giving me the time to talk. Thank you very much back to work. Thank you, Brian. And Merry Christmas. Thank you to my friends. Thank you Must continue take a short break. When we do. We'll go with go with Dave in Dayton. Indian and Columbus and Pete Implant, Chester and I always like to highlight individuals who live simple lives in good ways. And I never met Kevin Bear likely never will meet him. This is a wildlife officer is committed to the to the performance of his duties. He stumbled upon a situation unbeknownst to him was suddenly life and death. The fact that the only felony charge of this point Is disqualified from possessing firearms due to a disability, which would likely be a previous criminal conviction indicates to me that maybe in the first blush, Clinton County Authorities did not believe it was an intentional shooting. But we'll see what comes of it. The individuals involved Thomas Davis of Jamestown and Brian Ackerman of Midland, Ohio, have been charged with hunting without a license. Both are misdemeanors. On the main perpetrator is Brian are lining. L I am I n g 49 Years old of Xenia. He starts with hunting without a license, both misdemeanors and having weapons while under a disability. Which is a felony. So he's walking around the woods, I guess to shoot deer or something with no license. So, uh, tell you what, Let's uh let's take a caller to with Dave's permission, then we'll continue at 1 45. We have, uh, John Francoise. Foolish. Foolish. A here. Talk about difficulties of operating restaurants. I know Brittany Ruby, and, uh, the Gregorys difficulties, Charlie Blood, so I know What? Uh, what happens that trios Another fine facilities. Is this difficult? The strong survive and those will survive was gonna be tough about everyone else. Let's continue now With David dating, then we'll take a short break after this. And David Dayton. Welcome to the Bill Cunningham Show and Dave, How are you? Really Merry Christmas to you and your first lady and let me just first say, umm humbled and honored to be one of your final callers of 2020. Thank you. Yeah, my wishes for 2020. Want. 2021 is too clean over here. Andy Boo hoo! Both years or our governors, The Grim Reaper Mike Wein give their weekly press conferences and we can get over this. So you're done. You're done like you, but give the wine credit in this sense. There's less restrictions here than in Kentucky, Pennsylvania or Michigan and so well. Barely, But I mean I had I had the honor. Tonto Walk my oldest daughter down the aisle on Friday, my first to be married down and your church thing Xavier on Sycamore, which was the beginning of Xavier University. Um And But it went from a 250 persons ceremony to about 35 immediate family only, and the reception up in Mount Adams that the view which was the old flesh hole, and we're having a great old time and You know, Here's the fat thing that will he is by orders of the governor and the priests. We had to sit in our pews with math on even though I was that's my wife and kids and all the family that I Be every day and then you know, we got the last call at 9 45 is where in mid stroke and having a great old time up with the view and Mount Adams to, you know, to make sure we're all ushered world hitting the door by 10 o'clock. And you know, there's just a lot of unnecessary things. My business is a medical sales. I've had to lay off three employees because sales is hard enough to call on doctors and hospitals and normal situations to get blown off. But you give covert excuse and it's you have to have They followed appointment just to get your butt in a door to see anyone, So you know. Again. There's two men to too much other destruction is gone on with, you know again. You could. Yes, Governor Dwight is better than um, the California goofball. Who it's my daughter and her now husband came from San Francisco. They had that they fled two months early, quick there because they had enough for being alive and Newsome. Yeah, you have a Newsome Jan. On even in there. Just they had in the city's Francisco only 173 covert deaths this year they had 678 overdose deaths, but it's You know, So, um Yeah, I, um I I hope that, um on 11 last thing I know, will you You've got a time frame of when your last days on the big ones are in a couple of years. But we need you for Trump 2024. If you could let me say this, I told Scott Reinhardt Out of Trump runs for reelection. I'm going to stay here till November of 2024. That's the one thing that would get me to delay. My well earned retirement is to make certain that Donald John Trump gets re elected president in 2024. This station said Great, Fine if that if he announces in a couple of years And I'm running in 2024. I will be here because that's what What is it risk? Here is almost the survivability of the United States of America. That is one thing that would get me toe delay it till 2024 because of the importance of that race, Dave, you're exactly correct. Thank you. Really. You just made my day and you're a great American. And that is music to my ears. Hearing that and merry Christmas to you. "So I think both you and Brandon made some points that I would agree with their that a lot of the pushback that we're seeing America comes from resentment towards what either is or could be viewed as inept leadership and it's to stomach. It's it's no one leader. You know it'd be very easy to be like. Well, we've got an idiot as a present for sure but you know it works its way down you know from out cheats. In Ohio Dr. Amy Active, and you know Governor Dwight and in Cleveland we have a lovely mayor Frank Jackson. So why would I want to listen to people that don't seem to know what they are telling me to do you know it's it's sort of like taking medical advice from a homeless guy on the street. You know you don't know what you're talking about and I'm supposed to follow the law that you make accordingly I. IT'S A. Very frustrating thing, and so once again, I'm not anti mask in the regards that I'm refusing to wear a mask I have a whole cadre of various masks. So I can accessorize with whatever I'm wearing burst world brow however I just it's really hard to listen to someone that doesn't even know what they're talking about in their pre written speech. Why do you feel the need to listen to somebody else? Right? Like why do you feel the need to? Think you know, okay like what are like, what is the governor? Tommy, what is the maritime? You was the president telling me you know what is happening around the world right now there's a global pandemic and the best and easiest way to curb the spread of that pandemic is our mess. Right so why does the mayor the governor the President the U N, the World Bank anybody else why do they need to tell you anything it order for you or anybody else to you know take. Action or kind of debate whether it telling you about right like what needs to be done right now is people need to wear masks that is common sense. It's proven by fact, there has been too much research on it and you know the the research wasn't even needed, but there has been research on it, and the fact is that wearing masks curb the spread of depend on me. So I'm just curious to understand why you need somebody like a higher authority to tell you what do. Well. I think I agree It's funny enough I think that we're in contention at that point I agree with you. Why do I need someone to tell me that you know if designs is readily available to me in already willing to comply? Why are we going to pass a law that says I have to comply or otherwise monetary restrictions will be put on me or possibly even jail I mean why? Why do I need that? You're absolutely. So you personally agree that we need to wear masks and that you don't need a higher authority to tell you right. So but what what what we've been seeing in the US overall I'm just taking the US as an example here is a lot of people are refusing to wear masks. For example, you know in Florida I think it. It may have been a park ranger or some sort of authority figure in the US they just declared that if somebody wears a mask, they are not allowed to participate or to enter a certain area, right? So basically. It's the opposite of mask mandate right? It's an anti mass mandate. So what would they have said is if you are mask, you're not allowed to participate in this activity or to enter this area it has become that extreme whereas we know and like like you said, you are completely aware that a masks are necessary and you don't need a higher authority to tell you what I'm wondering is why are many Americans why? Why are they?.

"To be in America flown here. 700 wlw. And, um We got problems in the city, right? We got big problems in the city. We have 17 shot on Sunday. We had three shot last night. And all of a sudden now does this change the election in the state of Ohio? If you look at the again, it's Ah, It's a big if here, the real clear politics map. Joe Biden. The Buckeye State is up like I think 2.3 or something along those lines and keep it in context. At this time. Four years ago, Hillary Rodham Clinton was up three in Ohio and we know how that went. Joining me on the show this morning is the chair of the Ohio GOP. It's Jane Timken. Jane. Good morning. Good morning. How are you? I'm sad because of what happened this weekend in the city of Cincinnati. I'm sure you're aware that we had a bloody Sunday. 17 people shot. We had three people shot last night. This is a story that's been repeated across the United States. But it's here in Cincinnati is here in the Buckeye State. And it's here in my home town and people listening Jane Temkin, and that politics, of course, is about tragedy. Fighting tragedy, Some may say exploiting tragedy. Sadly, does this help Donald Trump in a sense that it takes the shootings and the death of people of innocent citizens, men, women and Children in order to get the attention of voters? Well, First of all, I'm saddened as well. That is my hometown on DH. I know those areas very well over the Rhine was no part of that great comeback of our city, and it's a beautiful area that you know, unfortunately, separate great tragedy. And, you know, listen. The Democrats have been pushing this defund the police agenda, and it is incredible that they would be pushing that when we have the violence in the streets across this country that we see and I don't understand it. I think it's the wrong direction. Quite clearly, The president stands behind the men and women in blue. They're there to protect our communities to make a safe on voters. They're goingto look at that and say who is standing up for our safety and security who's standing up for our police force? And it's Donald Trump, Joe Biden and Camel hairs have Basically adopted the radical leftist agenda of AOC and Bernie Sanders, their coastal elites. They don't understand what's going on in the rest of America and their policies are just bad. Well, we've seen it in California we've seen in Illinois. We've seen it in a lot of places that are Ron cities that are run by Democratic mayors and entities and bodies. And essentially is the vote isn't this Ah week ago might have been about Ah, A. I don't know. Vote on the president's handling or mishandling of the Koran, a virus. I think it's more of a mishandle as someone who voted for it. I thought it was response to Corona virus was and continues to be terrible. But when it comes to the issue of crime and punishment, do you see this? This election coming up is basically going to be a vote about not about Corona virus because it's that's turned into a steady, ongoing drumbeat, but rather The new three headed monster, which would be how we police in urban areas specifically on what level a proactive policing we have in the United States. Is it become a referendum on that, as opposed to Corona virus. I think it's becoming more and more of an issue. The national media won't talk about it. They continue to refer to these violent looting as a peaceful protest when we actually see the evidence of people going into downtown areas and smashing windows and looting, and it's incredible to me, even in downtown Columbus still has plywood on the doors. Many buildings, including the apartment that I drank And you know, people see that and they see that this is all being fostered by the Democrats. And But I have to tell you. I think that the president has done a good job in Corona virus. I think that it's the news media that wants detain him as ineffective on Cologne virus. But if you look back when we didn't have enough personal protective gear, we didn't have enough. Then later, he Worked with the private sector and got those going and now we have ventilators and mass. We have what we need. Look, there was no playbook for the Corona virus, and I think he and Governor Dwight have done a really good job with the hand that they've been dealt. People have gotten sick and unfortunately have died. But we're moving faster with a virus vaccine for this virus, and I think that we know how to treat this virus and I think it people are going to see that. Well, I don't know. I mean, I know that you're the spokesperson of the Ohio GOP. Jane. Tim, can I appreciate that? But I think we're in stark disagreement with the president's handling of Corona virus. Now there may be some of the trump people believe that, But by and large, most Americans look at this and go It was there was a failure of leadership from the top. Their failure of more or less empathy is what it was. He's not an empathetic human being. And he was exposed their times. We want our leaders to be empathetic. We want to realize look at them and no good. Look as go Hey, you know it's going to be okay. You didn't have that sense with the president. You can't change that about the man. That's part of his makeup. But this happened for him at the wrong time. In that element, he was exposed. Well, I You know, I think that look, I think the president has always come on. That's fair. Jane. It's fair, right? It's a fair. That's a fair criticism. Well, I actually that I think to be honest with you. My father passed away in June of this year, and the president called me and talking his condolences to me. I think that there is a side of the president and a lot of people don't see And I think you carry deeply about the people whose lives two blocks I've been lost on DH. I think he's just trying to do his level. Best to make sure this country is coming out of this pandemic and with a better economics into the great American come back, and I think that, as I said previously, there is no playbook for this, and I think he and his administration and the people that have been working on the Corona virus task force have done a pretty good job. Well, I would say that, you know, you mentioned Governor Mike DeWine. I thought he's done an exemplary job on the sly. I know he gets criticism for the lockdowns in the mass mandates. There's always going to be people no matter what someone says. I'm going to be vocal and insane about the ask of wearing a mask. You think we're asking you to quarter soldiers the way some people ask. Because Governor why did it take you might wearing a mask when your public That would be great. Thanks. Of course we have the theat time ass crowd the president played into that, too, was well, the mask works. It doesn't work. It works. It doesn't work. We just wanted some leadership unless confusion on maybe a little solidarity there, But they're both Republicans. I thought that Mike DeWine handled The state of Ohio much much better, but you know again, no one had a playbook for this at all. That's that's very, very true. But I think a little bit more cohesiveness in unity would have a long a long way in this, But is that old news compared to what we're talking about? Here? Is this what the president is going to use to to win Ohio for a second term? I I think that when you start talking about Corona virus, we've kind of getting idea. We know what it is. That's in the past the next 90 days. You're gonna be critical Jan Temkin is, you know does does the GOP focus on the issue of crime and guns and violence in cities that are run by Democrats versus what's happening with Corona virus? Is this the new Is this the October surprise? It's now happening in August. Well, I said, I think that the part of the president's focus has been this safety security and you look at his foreign policy. He's always put Americans first, and he's looking at what's happening in all these urban cities. That, as we know, are mostly run by Democrats, and it's chaos and violence and the president is not going to stand for it. And again, the Democrats keep calling for the defund the police. You're seeing. It happened in the city councils across the country when we need more police. We need them out there protecting us. They're getting. You know, they're putting their lives on the line Almost every night with these violent protests, people they're quite frankly, anarchists, and I think that they're Jenning up violence for reasons. I have no idea. But let me tell you, I know the numbers in Ohio. When we start talking to folks about the funding the police, they they come our way they vote Republican because they know Republicans will stand up for their safety and security in their community. Well, it's a failed effort to look it by by any measure..

"That's smile to 202 100 I'm coming in the great American Reds baseball tonight, Uh, in Detroit first pitch about 7 10 Lance has all the action starting about 6 10 But until then, I would need a report from my hometown of Covington. That is Rob Sanders Can county prosecutor and Rob Sanders. Welcome again in the Bill Cunningham Show and Rob, How are you? I'm doing great, Willy. Thanks for having me back on. It's always good to talk to you. You've got your finger on the pulse of what's happening in northern Kentucky. Governor Andy Bashir issued an order for two is shutting down bars that did not include bars. Restaurants had served food such as popcorn of pizza or hamburgers that continues to go. How are the citizens of Northern Kentucky paying attention now to the orders of Andy Bashir? I think In large part, northern Kentucky is abiding by some of the more reasonable orders. You know, we had a lot of people over here that are keeping socially distant. They're washing their hands. They're even wearing masks for the most part, Willie, but I think we're getting really tired of having their businesses messed with, and for that matter, not just businesses that they own with businesses that they like to frequent. They like to patronise going. Spend money in folks don't like it when they go to their favorite restaurant there told sorry, but you can't have a table because we only have 25% seating capacity. And those four tables or six tables or whatever it is, we're allowed to have their already spoken for. Let's face it. I have friends of mine that are leaving and going to Mexico and drinking and partying and resorts there. They might go to Costa Rica. They might go everywhere because there's a fear there's a palpable concern in the land. Not just the rose and the regulations, but the chemistry of going out completely different. Correct. I can only assume so Well, you know, I know that there's been a lot of talk about the order in Ohio, shutting down bars at 10 o'clock or 11 o'clock or whatever time it is over there. Me personally. It's pretty rare that you find me out after dark these days, especially now that I'm not a lot of good Reds games. But I'm home before the sun goes down anyway, certainly not out past midnight. So this kind of shit bars down a 10 o'clock or 11 o'clock That really doesn't affect me. In fact, I can only assume there might be some age discrimination going on here that maybe the governor thinks the 20 somethings or the problem because they're the only ones out after midnight Anyway, guys my age that we do the happy hour thing at most. And get home before wife gets mad at us and the other thing that happened in Ohio I was told by a representative in Columbus that The governor had a meeting with Dr Deborah Burkes Governor DeWine and then she also went to see Andy Bashir and after those meetings within 24 hours Bashir shuts down the bars for two weeks and then in Ohio. The wind's got to respond to that, because when one does one thing the other does the other or vice versa. And so governor Dwight had a fear of those incoming to New Porter, Bellevue. I wanna have a have a pop. When I have a drink. They can't do that in Covington so they would drive across the river into Ohio and the governor's saying We can't have that Now, if you're a bar owner in Ohio and you have customers coming to you from Covington, you say come on in. And so this was a conversation between Bashir and wine that we can have Kentucky business going to Ohio. So because I'm doing this, you have to do that, and so are vice a versa. There's a couple things I really don't get about this whole scenario. Willie and that's you Know, Number one. What's Dr Burke's doing? You know, she comes to town and Kentucky. And she gives our democratic governor the perfect cover to shut down bars and restaurants. And now, you know, granted he only handicapped restaurant. A 25% capacity, which may as well shut him down, But he totally shut down bars, and he gets to blame it on President Trump every time he talks about doing this, he says that the doctor that President Trump appointed to run his Corretta Mars task force is the one telling me I need to do this. Not only is shutting down our bars and handicapping our restaurants, but he's blaming it on President Trump in the process. Go figure. Here's the other thing about this in Kentucky. Willing that really baffles me. We got 120 counties in the Commonwealth of Kentucky. About 20 of those counties are still completely dry. That means you can't buy alcohol in any form or fashion. You can't buy a beer. You can buy a glass of wine. You can't go to the storm by 12 Pack. You can't buy a bottle of our famous bourbon. You can't get alcohol anywhere in those counties. We got about another 40 counties, 45 counties Little over half of 120 counties that are what we refer to is damp, and that means that they might let you have a glass of wine.
