"Wearing masks for decades. Why to prevent infection in in different areas. I think this is a test of our humanity. I believe that that's what this pandemic is. And remember a pandemic isn't an issue. It's a virus that's trying to kill as many of us as possible. And so I think it comes down to are you be willing to be self less? And where that mass loving your neighbor and protecting them? Or is it more? A question of selfish? I have the right to do whatever I want, even if it causes harm to others, you know, you can't walk into a crowded movie theater and yell fire. Your freedom of speech doesn't extend that far. So let's remember that liberty is is the right to live our lives not to cause someone else's death. That should be pretty easy for people of faith for people of values. And I hope that we can start living those that faith and and those values to protect one another. Once again, let me lift up and talk about the larger challenge of polarization and the abortion debate. Frankly, I think is only going to exasperate or divide here, both of you. Would I could argue and you may disagree with me. But I'm going to play political analyst analyst here. Both of you have benefited when the other party went too far right that I could argue. That's why you're both governor today. Certainly why you may have a second term Governor Hogan and why Governor Bashir, you're there. Is that the only way to cut through polarization Governor Hogan is when the other party goes too far, and then the voters create a check. Is that about it? Because it doesn't seem as if the middle ground gets represented unless one party goes too far. Well, that's an interesting It's an interesting idea. I think that may be possible. Certainly in our state, you know they had raised taxes 43 times in a row, even though we're the most Democratic state in America. Even the Democrats got frustrated with that. And so, but I think it right now in America. There are certainly people on both ends of the extremes on the left and the right who get all of the attention. The ones that are making the most noise and that's what we hear about when we're watching television. But about 70% of the people actually just are somewhere in the middle there, moderate or right of center left of center. They really want their elected officials to try to figure out a way to do something about this toxic politics and they want us to work together. To come up with real bipartisan commonsense solutions. Turns out that's the most popular thing in America. With most voters, Governor Bashir both you and Governor Hogan have have also share another thing in common. When you've had some abortion bills come from your Legislature. You chose not to be to them. But you chose not to sign them. And they just became law. One had to do with some Medicaid funding with Planned Parenthood. I believe on the Maryland side of things. You with the current law. That's there. Um How much do you expect abortion to divide your state going forward? And what is your? Do you have a plan on what to do in a post Roe world. Well, I think it it remains to be seen exactly what impact this Texas decision will have, especially with another case coming before the Supreme Court here pretty soon, But as the state's former top prosecutor, I have seen the worst of the worst situations. Young girls raped, impregnated sometimes by members of their own families. I hope whatever comes down the line provides those victims that have been harmed in ways most of us could never imagine. The options that they deserve. Governor Hogan. Do you believe the abortion issue when it if it's going to be state by state? You seem to basically say, you know, your electorate is perhaps pro choice. You may be pro life and you've sort of taken a hands off approach. Do you believe it should be the sort of public sentiment that should dictate where we go on abortion loss. Well, and you know, I happen.

"The Kentucky Supreme Court handed governor Bashir a legal defeat involving his pandemic emergency powers with the 11 30 report. I'm Sarah Elise. Breaking down. "They keep doing the same thing the same way and expect a different result. We're not going to get a different result doing the same things well, and we actually have a windfall of money, a lot of these states and they're going to get more in the next stimulus package. We're not going to get individual checks, so what'll happen is Is Mayor Fisher and Governor Bashir will tout balanced budgets just using the money the federal government gave them instead of using it to pay some of the stuff down, but But as a frustrated taxpayer, we speak for a lot of people. Jim, you say. We've got to hold People accountable. So we put the Republicans in charge. That's really all we can do. And then they raised our taxes outside of that. What do we What do we do, Jim? Well, we've gotta We've gotta push the right policies. No matter who's in control, you know, and and for, you know, one of the big problems Kentucky has is. We've got a lot of people that could work that are working. We're not being as productive as we could. We need policies that encourage work that work for understand, though, and We need fewer people on disability. We have some of the highest disability rates in the country. People on disability and people that are should be in the labor force that aren't so It's whatever a politician's party is, You know if they're concerned about our state, then they need to adopt that mind set that says. We've tried these other big government programs in the past. Now we need to encourage people that work and be productive and keep taxes low and spending love. That's what we've got to do. "However, governor Bashir is taking the difficulties with covert 19 and somehow juxtaposition in it on the backs of Children like a cub Cath, who can't play basketball or Can't go bowling or can't have the swim club. Whatever it might be Girls. Basketball stopped all over the Commonwealth and I'm reading this story out of Louisville Online petition restaurants will reopen December 14th with her without Bashir's approval. I saw this morning. On Fox and friends that New York police and sheriff's Office air going into bars and restaurants who refused to shut down and locking up with with handcuffs the proprietors and hauling them out and putting plywood on the door. And I'm thinking, what country do I live in? I want to get your perspective as a citizen, and everyone agrees. Covert 19 must be addressed, but it can't be addressed in a way that's irrelevant and immaterial to stopping the covert 19 from proliferating, especially one of the next month or two. We're gonna have a resolution through a vaccine, if if requested to do so by the governor, Would you be arresting bar and restaurant owners in Kent County? Absolutely not. You know, the governor's actions not only are arbitrary and capricious, but they're frustrating. It's not infuriating, Willie. I mean, it's driving me crazy. You know what you can do in Kentucky today. Right now, you can go to Wal Mart. You can go to the movie theater and watch a movie you Congar o to a gym and work out. As long as it's not in the class. You could go bowling. You can go any number of other different places and do it. Anything you want, Including shopping it any big box retailer, But what you can't do is send your kid to school. What you can't do is go to work and have more than 33% of your staff and your office. I'm down to one secretary right now, Willie, because the other two have Children that are forced out of school by Governor Bashir doing irreparable harm to our kids. And they don't have anybody to watch their kids they don't have. They can't send him two grand parents because the grand parents had higher risk, and they're quarantining is they shouldn't being careful or they've already had Cove in during quarantine, But they're going to stay home and make sure their kids or an online school, which is a joke. It's not the socialization. They need our governors doing irreparable damage to these Children by not sending him to school where they're safer than any of these other places that their parents couldn't take him right now And for that matter, really, I've been, you know, out in about Coming and going to work. Don't get to go many other places. But I do get out right around Kenton County a little bit right around coming to No. One. But you see kids out running around all over the place. They're not in school. They're not online. They're not sitting at a computer. They're out playing in the street there running around with each other. The governor's shut down on the school's has done nothing but set. Kentucky further back in education. We're already one of the lowest states in the country in terms of education scores by any measuring stick, and he's just making it that much worse. We ought to be looking to improve our schools, not handcuff. Our teachers not make their job impossible, not give him online classes were only a fraction of the kids show up to class and don't get anything done anyway. This is a joke, Willie and there's no rhyme or reason. There is no Scientific study anywhere that says schools with a problem. In fact, when the everybody says, follow the science, follow the science, You know, it's funny how Bashir says Polish science right up until the science doesn't agree with what he wants to do. And then he starts ignoring the signs. Because the CDC the world health Organization, Fauci, whatever science you wanna follow, all says kids should be in school. I'm like. I'm watching this H A S T V report yesterday from an attorney representing a religious civil rights group who says to, for example, Covington Catholic or say next Louisville ST ex. They cannot be in school under under orders of the governor, but you go to a strip club. In fact, he said, you go swimming. You can go gambling, gambling casinos savings away and there's there's nothing in place to prevent you from doing that. But even private Catholic schools that have gone to great extent to make sure their kids are socially distance to make sure their kids are wearing masks to make sure they're doing all the right things washing hands. Anything that you can ask them to do their doing in order to keep their kids in school and the governor shut them down anyway, There's no rhyme or reason they're doing it right. But yet he's not touching all these other places out there, including a number of other sketchy and shady places like strip clubs and casinos. He's letting them stay up means letting the horse track stay open. It's ridiculous. There's no rhyme or reason. There's no science involved. We're kidding ourselves. 55 governor that's drunk on power. 55% of the infections come from big box retailers and grocery stores and way down the list about 1% they think might be schools and below that, or other facilities. Actually, that bars and restaurants or another one that a very, very low transmission rate very low, and now you're gonna have the obliteration of small businesses in Kentucky and other states. Including Ohio, and the governor appears especially in Kentucky, more than Mike DeWine to carry more about strippers and gambling. And he cares about coveting Catholic high school and I can't look at this and say what I'd be safer and a strip club or a cub, Kath. I'm taking the Colonel's every time. Yeah, exactly. I mean, there's probably a lot of jokes to be made there, Willy. But I think anybody being even remotely serious about it knows that schools are much place safer place to be thin strip clubs and casinos, then pretty much any place else that the governor's let remain open. Schools have probably one of the safest places out there because of all the Precautions. They've taken the measures they've gone to to make sure Children are safe to make sure teachers are safe. That's not the problem. I don't know why he's doing what he's doing. I'm beside myself. I'm frustrated. I'm tired. I mean, just when Matt Bevin thought he set the record for the most hated governor in Kentucky's history, Andy Bashir said, Hold my milk toast because he wants to outdo him run against him. Rob Sanders. Somebody's got to Willie. Somebody's got to when I tell you what right now for Republican declares for the governor's race. Even though it's three years early in Kentucky, they probably be raising a boatload of campaign funds. So who knows? Who knows? If nobody steps up soon and might just have to be yours. Truly, We will have to wait and see. Wow. Wow, Somebody's got to Willie. Somebody's got to confront him back to the common want the Kentucky Right now He is running unabated, unabashed. He is doing whatever he wants. I hopefully think he's getting a big smack down one. Our Legislature gavels back in in January. "Governor. Bashir didn't have a whole lot to say, Willy. When it came Teo the case with the Brown a tailor, he did mention that the National Guard is act is ready to act if necessary, if needed, Um, the guard and the Kentucky State police would engage in limited specific missions where they would be under their own command. That would be in support of L A. P D. I can't imagine. All the work that the different agencies are using to make sure that they have a coordinated effort to defend the buildings and protect lives. Homeland Security's going to protect the federal buildings. Willie as you pointed out, rightly there Earlier you got el NPD. You have little fire and rescue. You have Kentucky State police, which are apparently going to be there and support of l A, p D. And then the possibility of the National Guard. Has you heard of the governor? Talk about right there. So either way, um we've been hearing some stories about the different areas. Of hotel sightings and even staging, for example of a bill. You know, of all kinds of different officials with other homeland security, and I think they have a staging Um, situation there at the Kentucky Fair and Expo Center from not mistaking. Have you heard that will I have not heard that, but he wouldn't surprise me. I mean, it's a Sizable area that you could use this kind of a command post area. Try me. I wouldn't rule that out. It's it's a spot that's outside of the the restricted area. If you will. It's The only other place I think that would be large enough to do something like that would be the International Convention Center, and that's obviously in the restricted area. So ah! I have not heard that but it again. Just putting two and two together. That kind of makes sense. I haven't been there, so I can't officially tell you that again, You know, um You hear a lot of things you see a lot of things and a lot of things that have not, um, panned out when it comes to Facebook and and other things that people have been put out there and they don't mean to Be mean or anything that they feel like they're updating people, but you've got to be careful with him. We have to be careful about it as well. But I have heard a number of people that indicated The you know, for example, that homeland security you know, they've seen vehicles around those kinds of things. So we're getting ready and we'll announce we come today. I don't know. I suspect That it could just given the nature of what some things we've seen The mayor, for example, for the first time in several what weeks or months, Scotty? I guess I had to cancel today's interview at 8 15, which we normally have. And so I guess everybody. Yeah, I kind of thought that was coming. I understand. I mean, there's just there's a lot that's going on. Right now. I'm bigger fish to fry than Come on for five minutes. Well, yeah, there's there's just a lot. It's about to get real in this city. Hopefully, it's for the better as Willie mentioned, you know, hopefully Ellen PDS plan for the worst hoping for the best, and it sounds like they've got a handle on it. We make it through this whole thing, and it may just be I'll have some violence, but it may turn out to not be as bad as what everybody thought it wass way. But we don't know The important thing to remember here is that there are only a handful of people who truly know what that decision's going to be. Attorney General Daniel Camera didn't even know he presented his investigation. The grand jury is the only group of people who knows how this is going to go and I don't I don't know the exact number off the top of my head who sits on the grand jury. It's obviously larger than the standard 12 for a criminal trial, but When you're talking about a grand jury. I mean, that's the utmost secrecy until they decide it's not a secret anymore. Soli. It's I mean, we're talking at most. Maybe 20 people who know and they're not talking..
