"Hey, John, I want to ask you to talk about something. And I don't want to get too inside baseball. And again, you know, we're here. We're very, very blessed today to be on this national stage. But you are, if I am looking at my tea leaves right, and I know where I stand, I'd love for you to be my state senator. I just think the world of you. You are going to be enter primary, but I mentioned Liz Cheney. I mentioned Adam kinzinger, some of these other folks up in D.C. who say, oh, we're really good for Republicans, but man, they're doing all the beating of the Democrats. Now, you've got sort of a similar situation on a local basis, right? Oh, yeah. Yeah. I think about the term wolf in sheep's clothing. And you've heard of rhinos, there's a guy that I'm running against, he's a supervisor in Louisa county, and there's a letter floating out there from a highly decorated Vietnam veteran who also served in this senator dick black and he's done some research and some other people have done some research and they found out that my opponent ran for Republican in the West Virginia House of delegates in 1982. And then he betrayed the Republican Party at a time when the Democrats were pushing the socialist pro abortion agenda. He left the Republican Party and joined that group and he ran at the Democrat in 82 with Walter Mondale and that crowd and then he ran the Democrat in 84 and then he moved to Virginia into this district where I'm running to be the state Senate and ran against one of the most conservative members of the House delegates Frank hargrove and Hanover county, who's a very beloved member of the House of delegates and against governor Allen who was on the ballot and he basically was on the ballot with Clinton. So he supported the Clinton and never seen the guy I mentioned the word Trump support Trump, anything else. He was supposed to be, but I'll tell you what, he's getting money. And so we've got to figure that out because people don't know this. There are people that voted for him as a member of the supervisors. And they're like, they had no idea he ever voted Democrat. They definitely had no idea that he ever ran as a Democrat, but the way this came out is somebody at a Tea Party last week said, hey, have you always voted Republican? And he looked shaken up and got angry, and he said, well, obviously, you know, the answer, or you wouldn't be asking the question. And so he said he voted Democrat, but the word is not out except maybe right now that he actually ran four times for the House of delegates first as a Republican, three times as a Democrat and now he wants to take out a navy seal with one of the highest conservative records in the state of Virginia every year. So hopefully, hopefully the audience will consider supporting the frogman. Yeah, right. Well, you know what we want to do. We want to un California, Virginia. Exactly stop the wokeness and it starts with election integrity..

"governor allen" Discussed on Game of Crimes

"I'm saying this as a caveat to you, marfan Sheryl, even me. We don't do politics here, but the one issue the one concern you had, even though he was given this sentence plus a 116 years, documented cases of cop killers in Virginia that were released. On parole and you had a real concern is that a previous parole board may have seen their wife fit to release this guy on parole. Absolutely. The parole board has never had to notify me after he had served, I believe it was 17 years. He became eligible for parole. Parole wasn't abolished for violent offenders until 1995 under governor Allen. Which meant that woodfin is eligible for parole. And then did 17 years, and then I started having to go every one to three years to the parole board to keep him incarcerated. I let them know when he was due. What a lot of people don't know is they only have a very small amount of available hearing dates, each quarter. The parole board is supposed to notify the victims or their families if the victims are deceased of the upcoming parole hearing. However, the victims are supposed to register with the vine system, which is currently recently been updated. As I understand it, the parole board is supposed to supposed to attempt to locate and notify the victims and their families. Last year, especially, that wasn't happening. Everybody was doing stuff. Freestyled their own way using COVID-19, or whatever reason. And victims, victims, families were not getting located. They were not being notified. And a huge amount of the worst of the worst defenders were released back into society. Many of the victims and their families did not know. We're talking serious sex offenders. The worst of the worst killers. We're talking about a lady who with her, I think it was daughter and the daughter son killed this lady's husband through his body into a well covered it up and then had a party in the same damn place 6 days later with this guy in the well they got the they got the young son, the son of the grandson to go and kill this guy, she did 6 years and she got out without notifying the Commonwealth's attorney or the family. Correct? Unbelievable. You know, and notwithstanding COVID, notwithstanding COVID or anything else, it doesn't release you from your responsibilities. If you're holding that position. Well, there's only so much I can say because I am sure this is not totally over. The former chairperson, Adrian Bennett, was appointed a judge as a judge down in Virginia Beach. She has been on administrative leave. There were several complaints made to the office of the state inspected general reportedly those investigations found the parole board in violation of policy procedure and state code. Richmond united for law enforcement, we were very involved in providing services for the victims hooking people up and doing some independent investigating and providing information to the appropriate sources. The parole board, they were releasing a huge amount of people, the worst of the worst. I wish I could tell you more on that. Maybe that's something where I could hook you up with some people. Another time for another story after everything is completed last I heard now judge Adrian Bennett is on administrative leave and that's all I can really say right now. But at the end of the day, there needs to be accountability on all levels. And I think both of you will agree with me that the people in the professional law enforcement, yeah, we have bad apples and law enforcement too, but the good apples hate the bad apples worse than anybody because it tarnishes the profession, the integrity and everything. And I'm here to tell you the majority of people in law enforcement truly care, they want to make a positive difference. They want to help. And they will hand the bad apples up, quicker than anybody. There has to be transparency and accountability. If you want to be a criminal, be a criminal, don't be a cop. Don't be a prosecutor. Don't be a state, somebody in a state office. Don't be on a parole board and think you have no accountability. And that's something that I truly hope the newly elected officials will make some positive changes and reforms for the parole board because here is a part of a system that I was always so proud to be a part of that has become the enemy. It's taken up for the criminals and they're supposed to be unbiased and victims are supposed to have rights. And victims rights were clearly violated in so many cases. Yeah, this just wasn't a one off. This was a continuous pattern of behavior that went on and on and on. And look, you're right, we could do a lot more on this. I don't want to take away from the last part of your story because I think the last part of this really emphasizes where your heart is on this. And look, do you just spoke to mersey when you said that about the bad apples? He routinely says, what do you always say, Murph? Nobody hates a bad cop more than a good cop. And they should be put under the jail. They should be held more accountable than other criminals. You take on a position of public service, public trust, that's what goes with it. And if you're on the parole board, if you're the governor, if you're a police officer, you're a public servant. You can't betray the public's trust. Yeah, set the politics aside, it's about, let's look at the facts of the case and determine that now are there some people who've gone to prison that become good candidates for parole? Absolutely. That's the purpose of parole. But it amazes me. Somebody who was given three life sentences plus a hundred and what did you say 60 years or 16 years? 16. How do you get a 116 years plus three life sentences and still become if he wasn't eligible for parole, he wouldn't be having a parole hearing. Now woody. How do you kill three people and then you're eligible for parole? You don't deserve to get out. What the lies were back then when he got convicted and like I said, even if he wasn't eligible for parole engine geriatric reform in Virginia, he would still be eligible for pearl because they want to get once the inmates hit about 60. They want to start getting the older inmates out. They become very expensive because healthcare is the biggest cost center in a jail in a prison. You know, just taking care of that stuff. Well, hey, look. Let's leave that there for a minute because I want to talk about let's just real quickly talk about how many more years did you stay on Richmond? And then let's talk about your work on victim's rights and a lot of the stuff you're doing now. I went back approximately 6 months later. Rode with the supervisor.

"About it right here. This whole left. They're nothing but before using the media won't call enough for that. Use. Talk A 20 w g A p v a p dot com All right. 3 34 the time welcomed the Rick Robert show. Glad you're along. Um, the whole of Texas Coast to coast. Be the airport. Glad you're along on this Monday afternoon. If you don't know if you're listening outside the state of Texas, we are very Yeah. Run for governor. And one of the candidates for for the governor of the Great State of Texas is Lieutenant Colonel retired Colonel West. I like, uh, Lieutenant Colonel West a lot, and I like I like that. But a lot too. I've worked with him both on and off the year. So, um, you know, that's a good situation to be in when you've got guys that you you like you admire your respect. Um, something occurred on Friday night. Um Republican candidate for Texas governor. Allen West is demanding an apology. From some pretty key people. After an incident with his wife with me now is Lieutenant Colonel Allen West, Lieutenant Colonel. Good to well, It's good for me to talk to you. Once again. This probably isn't so good for you. Um, no. This find Rick because you know, truth is easy, and my wife did not do anything wrong. But we've got to discuss this. We've got to get this out there and we got to make sure that the right thing is done. It was Friday night I was down in Waco. I had a dinner with Ted do just some other people talking about because some conservative issues got rights issues, and my wife, our youngest starter, asked her if she could watch our grandson, Jackson, Bernard. And so she stayed at home. Ishi ended up going out to dinner and PF change in north part with a dear friend of ours. Who is also the attorney. And, uh, you know, after the dinner, you know, my wife decided to just take a little drive because she has set off a bug bomb in the home. She didn't want to take Jackson bag until she was, you know, quite certain it will be okay. Uh And so she was traveling that you know, Northwest Highway going West, and she realized she was not familiar with the neighborhood. She was over there on the other side away from love field past Bachman Lake, And so she hit the navigation system. She changed lanes and she was pulled over for, you know, not using the turn signal to change lanes now. It's not very rare that people get pulled over for not using the currency will change Lane. If if it were an accident, I would understand. But in the course of the events, the officer comes up as a discussion and tells my wife answered why she was pulled over this a little bit after nine PM Angela's very compliant, compliant and, you know, tells everything, Uh, and then she was ordered out of the car. Uh, And this officer uh, L. Harris 11172 is a bash number. This officer proceeds to Query her and question her in relation to she believes that she's on the influence of alcohol. Well, my wife had water and eliminate at the PF, change her her dinner gas going to test it, and we also have the receipts that we posted about their own line. My wife agreed with the fields for broadcast. You agreed to take a Breathalyzer. Uh, she was never told the results of the Breathalyzer. But then the officer decided she was going to arrest my wife under the suspicion of D U I and what ended up happening. My wife spent the entire night uh, and all the way up to Saturday afternoon about one PM when she was fire release she was charged with driving while intoxicated. With a minor child. But what really upset me even more than this was that? You know, no one just thought that we could take the time to wait and allow my younger daughter her husband to come. And retrieve my grandson. They carted my wife away to jail and left my grandson in the car. Still in the restraint, a couple of officers just standing there. That's unacceptable to me. Alright. Okay. Several things pop out about their support. Your wife, Angela Angela West was given a field sobriety test. Correct, Correct. That's correct. Okay, Um, And then she was arrested. They're after Correct. She was arrested with the suspicion suspicion of driving while the toxic under influence. Did she request a blood test? No. She requested the Breathalyzer. My wife is a two time breast cancer survivor. She did not want to get the blood tests. And so she refused. And, of course, This officer went through in order to warrant to get a blood test against my wife. But again, I will say that, uh, my wife obviously blew clean on the Breathalyzer. She was not informed that which I think you should have been. But like I said she had just had water and lemonade. There's no alcohol in the house, so there was no drinking prior to her going out so that that's the situation in which we find ourselves. And your grandson is held. Three months, three months and so he obviously was in a Child restraint system in the car under right under the supervision of two police officers until your youngest daughter gets there, right. Yeah, but the thing is that no one called to tell my youngest daughter about this situation. My youngest daughter, who was on the phone to the speaker, following in the Bluetooth and listening to what was going on with her husband and she paying my wife. Cell phone number. Uh, this is not normal protocol. I've talked to a lot of people, and they say it most. Uh, if there really was this, you know, worry and suspicion about alcohol, Uh, Child Protective Services would have been calling. They would have been turned over then that's a whole another rigmarole or I'm not real comfortable with my three month old grandson just being left. In a car. You know, in his still in his restraint with officers just standing outside. That's not, uh, something that I I I can agree with. All right now you've formally requested, I think through a video requested apologies. Formal apologies. Public apologies from whom I requested it from the Dallas police chief Police chief Chief Garcia and also mentioned the, uh Eric Johnson and also the Dallas district attorney, John Cruz. Oh, because I want everyone to be aware of the situation and I wanted to be rectified..

"Good Morning, Johnny. Hey, Johnny. Hey, Hey, guys. Good morning, you know, just to pick him back off that last caller, you know, the Ronald Reagan and the George Bush Sr Pops politics for the Republican for the Republican Party does not work any longer. The the Democrats have put the screws to us over the last 30 to 40 years, And right now we're dealing with boys Joining girls sports We're dealing with open borders. We're dealing with defund police that Ronald Reagan Arab politics is out the window. We've got to have it in your face, type Republican. That pushes back like trump and even harder to counter these idiots out there. The problem Johnny with the Republicans, and I put myself in that same category that if Don says he likes a certain candidate, it's going to be easy for me to pick that Canada apart and find things I don't like about them. And in the same in reverse, Republicans collectively think that they're going to be able to find a perfect candidates. They're going to be flawed. Allen West test flaws Don Huffine has flaws. Governor Greg Abbott has flaws as well. They're not perfect people. They're going to make mistakes, and they're not going to be the perfect candidates. We need to be comfortable with that, too. Well, Donald Trump was a perfect example. Not everybody liked him. But we dealt with him and I knew he was the person to create change. And there was many things I didn't like about Donald front. Many things But I knew he was our candidate, and I think we need to get back to that. We better realize that we better get in the fighting mode or these guys are going to run roughshod over us. And we're going to lose this thing completely. Do you think Governor Abbott is that candidate? No, I do not. But I'm okay with him better than anybody I've seen. He's not that candidate. But you're okay with him being governor. Now, think about that he is and we're talking about the governor's race here. You don't think Governor Abbott is the right one, but you will endorse him. Well, let me tell you something. I looked at what happened over the covid over the last year, and I praise the good Lord. Every day. We had Governor Abbott, Okay, because he fought the system. Okay. Of course, there is better than Governor Abbott. But he's the best we got in Texas right now. And And because of that, I'm okay with both the men back in. There you go. Thank you, Johnny. He well, he changed his tune on Governor Abbott in a hard breath, Didn't you? Just just a hard me? Yeah. Just hardly started thinking about it, then suddenly liked him. Still a little dizzy? Yeah, disoriented. I think I think with this Republican strategist and the four or five calls we've taken on this issue when it comes to the Republican primary for Governor Allen West, announcing yesterday, he's going to run, and then he got Don Huffines, who has state Senator experience, and then you have the incumbent, Greg Abbott. I think what we've proven this morning is Republicans don't know what they want in the race to the governor's mansion in that primary, and it may be fractured so much that it may clear the way for a Democrat to win. I, uh Republicans collectively need to get by behind one candidate to solve our issues. If it becomes a fractured issue during the primary, Democrats will have power. Yeah, right. Right. If there's any weakness whatsoever, anywhere they're going to squeeze through. You're right. It's not a good time to to have division for that. I do want to know more about Allen West. I'm intrigued. I think he's at least he comes across his is a bad ass. Beyond that, I can't point to any, you know, accomplishments other than you know the offices that he's held or the positions he's held. But other than that, I don't I don't really have Good feel for what this guy's about. He just portrays a real badass, and that's really worked for him. It is 8. 51 and rescuers continue to deal with the weather there at the Surfside that condo collapsed, They took down the remaining portion of that building that was still standing. "Run or not really to that point as you say. She does have a lot of name recognition national reputation. She's battled the trump administration nationally. She's known for her battle with corporations. Like purdue pharma if she gets in. What does that do do. Other candidates have a shot of their democratic's candidates have a shot. If she's in well anything. Of course it's possible politics. It seems especially these days. I think you're right. I mean he would be the front runner but look as we know being expected to win. Doesn't mean you automatically win. I mean just ask. President hillary clinton or governor martha coakley about that right. I mean more healey would be the front runner and yet you know the other candidates so that's a given but the other candidates would have a shot against her and i think it would be a mistake to assume otherwise so you have noted that governor baker hasn't said yet if he will pursue a third term at this point is he sort of stalking horse. Though is he. Does he remain the man to beat fellow. Yeah there's no question about that. i mean. Baker is well funded. He remains very popular in the state. He's figured out that secret sauce of running and winning as a republican in deep blue massachusetts and You know it's always interesting to note. He's more popular among democrats than he is among republicans but among the things that are interesting about daniel allen's candidacy is that she's a black woman at a time of historic change in boston. We're about to elect the first person of color to the mayor's office This would follow on presley's election as the first woman of color to represent massachusetts in congress so with regard to her campaign for governor allen. Told me today that it's taken more than two hundred years but we might actually be at a point where leadership can be open to everybody. So that's going to be a big theme in her races. Well so let's jump ahead to the massachusetts. Gop because they're having it appears a bit of an identity crisis of their own right now and it seems that one factor at the core of that upheaval is governor baker and whether the trump wing of the state party is behind him. Is that fair to say. And what does that do to impact bakers chances. Should he choose to run for another term. Yeah it's an interesting question. I mean clearly. The the mass. Gop is at war with itself baker's the moderate he never embraced donald trump. So he doesn't have a lot of support from that hard right wing of the republican party while the state republican party represents that hard right trump base and that includes lots of people who don't embrace baker but baker's been able to more than make up for that by attracting moderate republicans and lots of democrats. So i guess. The risk for baker is that if he faces a strong challenge from a strong democrat. He could lose enough of that democratic support to put him in danger. And that's one of the big fascinating question that we're going to be following in.

daniel allen congress donald trump republican party boston Baker today more than two hundred years hillary clinton third term martha coakley allen one republicans democrat one factor republican President trump democrats
