"With Snyder, who is currently in France rather than here in Washington after being asked to testify. She says a subpoena will be issued for Snyder to appear for a deposition next week. In the meantime, lawmakers outlined new details of their investigation, the shadow investigation supported by Snyder utilized lawsuits and private investigators to discredit accusers the committee says there was a dossier put together a former employees and others who could harm the team's image. And apparently also an attempt to make former team president Bruce Allen a fall guy for the team's toxic workplace culture. NFL commissioner Roger Goodell did testify two hours. What are some of the takeaways from his questioning by the lawmakers? Yeah, it was interesting. He actually testified a lot longer than I expected. He faced a lot of heat from lawmakers for not releasing this original report into the team's misconduct. Maryland congressman Jamie Raskin asking why the NFL would spend potentially millions of dollars to investigate and then not even print out a report. We're asking also noted that the NFL issued a more than 240 page report on the Patriots and Tom Brady's deflategate controversy about deflated footballs, but only issued a press release related to the commanders. Goodell repeatedly cited privacy concerns of accusers, but some lawmakers point out that many of the women with accusations want the report to be made public also at the end of this hearing Goodell was asked if he would remove Dan Snyder as the owner after all the allegations against him and the team, Goodell responded he does not have that authority. By the way, three quarters of the NFL's owners would have to vote to do that. What's the team saying in response to all of this? The team sent out a memo to its employees in light of these developments, essentially it says the organization has made major strides in getting rid of all these toxic work issues, the team points to more diversity in hiring, notes that tired more black executives than most NFL teams, and it's been committed to advancing the careers of women within the organization. And there's no doubt the team has made major improvements in recent years, and that begs the question why

NFL Releases Cleveland Browns Schedule for 2022 Season

"I got the brown schedule last night. The browns NFL released the schedule. And there it is, we open away and we close away. Honestly, the NFL hates the browns. They've always hated the browns. I don't know why they hate Cleveland, but Roger Goodell, you know, he walked in and said, whatever we do in the schedule, the browns are gonna open away and close away. And we close at Pittsburgh. Even though they're lousy in a crummy team, we do open away in Carolina. And if we can't beat Carolina, it's gonna be a long season, but deshaun Watson probably going to be suspended. I don't know. But as a browns fan as a northeastern Ohio native is a true blue son of the land that schedules okay. But I have to complain because I am a true blue senator

An In-Depth Look at the 2022 NFL Draft

"It. We got NFL Draft this week. Coming up next week. And so we're giving you a preview today of what this strap is going to look like, but I wanted to do it a little bit differently. And I coach Gayle and I have been talking a lot over the last year about football and live and how it all relates. But getting into the specifics now, the draft, I think it's going to be really interesting as we take a look at some of the mechanics behind the scenes. We always see the grand entrance of Roger Goodell coming out and with the first pick in the draft, so and so. And but there's a lot that goes on behind the scenes here. And I want to talk about then get into some of the specifics and how you're judging, you know, I think Chan unit is you're going to see Chan Gayle and I've talked about this for you're judging 20 year olds. And saying, you're making millions of dollars decisions based on 20 year olds. So it's going to be a good time. So Chan, welcome to the podcast. It's glad to have you. Thank you, Doug. It's always great to be with you, especially this time of year. It's fun time. It is good.

Jon Gruden Resigns as Raiders Coach Over Decade-Old Offensive Emails

"John Gruden has always been kind of a wild child in the NFL always been a little bit of a loose cannon, if you will. And I believe he was also he was also the coach of the Oakland Raiders in like the 90s. And then he went to the Buccaneers and led them to the Super Bowl very complicated. But then he rejoined the Raiders in 2018 after he was an analyst on Monday Night Football. Do you remember those things he used to sit down with the quarterbacks? And it was like Gruden's corner. I've never been a big fan of Jon Gruden. I'll be very honest. One in 2002, that's right, my memory's not too bad. I'm not going to be an apologist for Jon Gruden. Okay? I'm sure he lives a complicated life like most people in the NFL. But this recent saga involving in his resignation slash termination is disgusting. And the national Football Association is in many different ways. In enterprise that is built on a House of Cards. The entire structure of how many of the teams are filed as nonprofits on how almost every stadium is built thanks to taxpayer dollars. There's a lot of corruption that exists in the national football, the National Football League. And so it came out a couple days ago that John Gruden is going to be fired, or it has to speak out for his racist and homophobic emails over ten years ago. And I shrugged my shoulders and I actually didn't know where this one was going to go. Because John Gruden signed a ten year 100 million dollar deal with the Oakland Raiders. And now so he technically resigned whatever he says, I have resigned as the head coach of the Las Vegas Raiders. I love the Raiders and do not want to be distraction. Thank you to all the players coaches and staff and fan fans of raider nation. I'm sorry I never meant to hurt anyone, John Gruden. And so it was revealed in some of these emails. And based from what I've said, seen should have said something's probably not no, was he joking around in private in a context that none of us can understand? Yes. He incited Joe Biden, insulted Joe Biden I can't even say what he called Joe Biden on air. It's kind of hilarious. Called Roger Goodell, a certain name. I'm no fan of Roger Goodell. So if this whole thing is like a Roger Goodell, apology tour, but here's what really matters. Here's the question. In the National Football League, do they ever allow people to do bad things and continue to participate? Like murder. How about rate Ray Lewis and his legacy of the unsolved double murder? Or how about you remember this one? You remember ray rice, who literally punched his fiance in an elevator? It was an elevator, right? Which gained total notoriety following the indictment he was released by the ravens and suspended, and now rice would be reinstated after he successfully appealed the league's decision. And this whole thing with John Gruden is this question of should you be judged by things you have said in private ten years ago to destroy your current

'Your Brother Needs You': The Bond That Lifted a Rising NFL Star

"So joe you recently wrote a story about carolina. Panthers defensive end brian burns and his older brother stanley mclovin and how they ended up helping each other in an unlikely way. And we actually want to start the story with stanley. So let's rewind to two thousand six. What kind of player was stanley when he was coming out of college and how did his. Nfl career go early on. He was a pretty good player. He is a good size guide. Defensive lineman from auburn comes to the right side. that's goodell pressure. That's fair is last season. at auburn. He had eight sex and he enters the nfl draft and ho six when the last round to the panthers and he was joining a team. That had a very stout defensive line group led by peppers and it just wasn't much playing time opportunity for a seventh round pick white mclovin and so pretty under the radar type player with the exception of off the field where he lived and spent money as though he were a first round pick. He told me that he bought range rover and he had a hummer at one point. He bought a brand new house. I did a lot of things i wasn't. I wasn't educated about if i had educational a lot during that time. I'm like we're not talking about it. I got a million dollar bonus or anything like that. I mean it was seventh-round money by stanley. Kinda got caught up in lifestyle. He's the first to admit that and he was living the life and it was just one of those day where you see the money. You're counting zyban i buy. I'm playing football. I'm doing on on going through the rest of my life

Why Barcelona Legend Messi Is Leaving

"Are finally going to mention what was the biggest sports story on Planet Earth this weekend. It was not anything that happened at the Olympics, and it was not anything that happened in Canton, Ohio, and it was not anything that happened on a baseball diamond near or far from you. It was and I will give new no 30 seconds to explain to everyone who doesn't already know why it's such a big deal. It was Leon l messy the greatest soccer player in the world and his tearful divorce from Barcelona, where he has made himself a legend. And I will admit new. No, I need the education on this. Tell everybody why this happened and why it is the biggest sports story on planet Earth. The simplest thing is Barcelona's finances are so messed up, um, that they can't afford them afford. Afford him. The league wouldn't allow them to sign Messi back even at a 50% discount. Um and I've tried to equate what it would truly be. It would kind of be like with Brady leaving, um, the Patriots. But if Roger Goodell said, Hey, he's not allowed to come back. That's the thing like Sometimes I read about things that happened in international soccer and European soccer in particular, and I am the first to admit, I don't know almost anything about it. I didn't grow up following it. I know enough about it to cover it for television, which I've done for years, but I don't know the ins and outs. And every now and again, things like this happened and I find myself thinking. How do they deal with this? Like what kind of system is this? If this stuff happened in American sports, we'd lose our minds like what's going on right now on the first take in

Inside The Russell Wilson-Seahawks Rift

"Years russell. Wilson has been wanting to throw the ball more and at the start of this year. It finally happened russell. Wilson was not good in the first half of the twenty twenty season. He was excellent deep cap touchdown. Seattle you run down there and set in his answer. Any better than that was fourth in yards per attempt. Weeks one through nine i. In passing. touchdown percentage was second in passer rating. Wilson keeps as default talk. He was legit. The best player in the league madden gave him a ninety nine overall rating during the season because he was cooking notion as he throws an accident. Edi feeds defensive player of the years like russell. Lula's legitimately the best guy in football games of the season then week nine arrived and they had this game against the buffalo bills that you recently wrote about. Can you tell us what happened in that game. And afterwards what happened is russell had to cook in the kitchen. Just kind of just caught on. Fire his paycheck wine with a sack at a takeaway from russell wilson. I actually watched that game with a former cr defensive and cliff april and teased talking me through it. And he's like russ's off he's trying to do too much and i think turned it over like four times. He threw a pick on the goal. Line throws for the jordan with tyco. I think that really turned the tables for the whole team. After that loss where they gave up forty four points and turned it over a bazillion times and got embarrassed in buffalo. Well what i would tell you that. I don't recognize that game. We haven't seen the look like that and it's a game that i don't have any place in my brain for. He told us he didn't even have any space in his brain for that game. That's very important subjects right like the fact that he considered that not seahawks. Football was influential the rest of the year. Well the following week against the rams things. I guess only got worse. Wilson throws and the other one four darius williams second game. I know that there are better days ahead. I'll use a baseball now but sometimes you go up to the plate you know and you don't have your way today mike. You and our colleagues. Mike sando jason jank's wrote about a meeting. That happened shortly after that loss to the rams can you take us inside that meeting room and just explain what went down russia's meeting with the coaches normal game planning type of meeting and he has suggestions he is giving input usually does and his suggestions just weren't dismissed. There were dismissed in a way that russell didn't feel appreciate it. And i think that is really important. I'm sure they disagree in every meeting ever but in this particular instance rust belt that he was not being appreciated so rushed stormed out was basically this idea that. How dare anyone in this building. Be dismissive of my ideas. I am of the quarterback was almost like kevin durant warriors when he was like no way up. I'm kevin durant russell wilson and he rustled perceives him to be someone who has succeeded. In spite of what's been around him not because of running for his life making the pro bowl with battle lines perceive that to be like the story of his career. And you get to week eleven. And it's like do. Just chill out. We got this no. You don't don't get it. I got it and that forced him out the door. Russell in the second half of the season was which is not himself like he was twenty eighth in yards per attempt in his final eight games he was sixteenth. In a touchdown percentage nineteenth in passer rating. These are bad numbers. These are not just like below average twenty nine yards per attempt man that was lower than the cincinnati bengals. Even when the circumstances are bad around russell he's been good enough to elevate situation still played inefficient level and twenty twenty was the first time it was like. Wow he's not able to elevate the lack of talent or execution of preparation around him and it produced like some of the worst numbers of his career certainly produced the worst playoff game of his career against the rams in the wild round sitting meeting big. Who's going into other sack four sacks two takeaways the interception return for the touchdown and floyd now all right. Let's fast forward a few weeks to the super bowl. The seahawks have been knocked out by the rams in the wildcard round and russell. Wilson is at super bowl. Fifty five in tampa bay sitting with none other than commissioner. Roger goodell mike. Tell us what you found in your reporting about russell. Wilson's experience at the super bowl. You know it's really interesting. Because i tweeted during the super bowl. That antonio brown caught a touchdown from tom brady in front of russell. Wilson there is the pass for the touchdown. What drive a super bowl. Winning drive that brady's only done throughout his whole career. I kind of just said it like star cast the as a joke. Not really thinking about how russell fell and then as our reporting i was like okay so i i was right like he is really upset. And it's so many factors. There is the fact that tom brady is in. The super bowl is the fact tom. Brady's they're playing pine. A good line is the fact that tom brady is playing in a system. That gives him some atonomy like got to pick players gronk. Antonio brown is the fact that mahomes is there again laying for again in a system that like essentially like his talents. The last time also played in the super bowl loss of tom brady seven years later prime many years. Tom brady's back. I suppose in a soup. Kitchen fuming so during the superbowl. He's texting his quarterback coach. And just close. Friend jake heaps. He's a local radio guy. Here jake to set it on the radio. He's talking about how russ was missed during the game texting him. They'll look the he had was in reflective of the text messages. I was receiving russell wilson. Just ultimately the overall sentiment was that he was mad that he was not lying in this thing and then russell spoke to the shortly after the game show. What's up with our line. You see that. Winning requires a good line and the gist of peace response. As far as i was told is about faith. And just you know we got this. And that just wasn't good enough for us

I have to remind you guys, I said this earlier in the show. I did write a story for spectator and it was all about Florida men. It's getting. It's getting good feedback from people on Twitter. And one complaint I'm getting from people is that I mentioned three Florida men. Two of them are new. And because Donald Trump really was in New York, her for a long time, and then he switched his official residence. And then I mentioned Tom Brady, who's very new to being a Florida man and then obviously a native of Florida, Ron de Santis. And so I talked about these three guys and how they really do their own thing. And they don't care about the press. They don't mind being hated. And one complaint I've received after this calm is that I forgot one very important Florida man. That Florida man. It's Howard Lawrence Car. Howie. I apologize profusely for leaving you out of that group. That's okay. Florida is one of my several home states. But I, but I was I was I was I did goes to Palm Beach public school many more years ago than I'm going to admit Yes, Yes, yes. Oh, how you're in Florida. Now, there was a little bit of a trump rally. "Job. Maybe next time you're here you can present. That would be getting green jobs. So i'm just asking when that happened. Richard trumka who is a friend longtime friend of joe biden says about that day one eastone. He says i wish he. The president has paired that. Were carefully with the thing that he did. second by saying. Here's where we are creating jobs. So there's partial evidence from richard trumka. Well you didn't include all of his interview. Would you like to include. How about this. The international union of north america said the keystone decision will cost one thousand existing union jobs and ten thousand projected construction jobs. Well what mr trump. Also indicated in the same interview was that president biden has proposed a climate plan with transformative investments and infrastructure and laid out a plan that will not only create millions of good union jobs but also helped tackle the climate crisis. That guy was peter doocy from fox news and i always hate his questions because he takes four ever to get to the point he just beats around the bush because his conscience is fighting him the whole time and at least that's what it seems like. It's like that tiny little part of them that still has morals and ethics is trying to tell him. He's being deceiving and a bad journalist. But pete here just wants at fox news money one of the more unexpected biden policies. I would say. Just because. I never thought he would actually do. It is that he announced on friday. That trump wouldn't be eligible to receive intelligence briefings anymore. This is the first time that a former president has been cut out of these briefings. But we've never truly had a president trump have we biden explained in that norah o'donnell interview saying quote. I just think that there's no need for him. To have the intelligence briefings. What value is giving him. An intelligence briefing. What impact does he have at all other than the fact that he might slip and say something and he also said that has shown quote erratic behavior. Well that certainly the polite way to say that. He's been acting crazy honestly if he didn't read them well he was president. Why should he get them now. I mean the way. I imagine it. They practically had to create puppet shows and plays to get him the information that was in those briefings like they probably had to act it out for him. The man doesn't or possibly can't read so the story here as promised is about the flus really bad year sir remember. I talked a couple weeks ago. About how bad well not. How bad how good for us it was that. This year's flu season is almost nonexistent. In that was in new york city as it turns out that sort of the case. Globally this reporting from the atlantic followed a doctor from the mayo clinic in rochester minnesota. And they just sort of talked it over with them. What they're seeing in. Why we might be seeing this really good flu season for us. He said on december first that they began testing all patients with respiratory symptoms for covert and the flu so thousands and thousands of these tests have turned up positive for covid but out of the twenty thousand flu tests that they've run which is ten times. The usual number zero have come back positive for the flu since early fall. Eight hundred thousand flu tests in the. Us have been done and only fifteen hundred have been positive. That's point two percent for context. That's about one hundred times so last year. We had a hundred times more cases at this time when we had done. Eight hundred thousand tests back then. The flu positivity rate was anywhere between twenty and thirty percent twenty and thirty percent a lot of other respiratory viruses have disappeared as well well disappeared in quotes because they're still out there somewhere including ones for the common cold. Obviously the reason for this is the number of restrictions and precautions that we've had to put in place social distancing masks etc and all of those help because the regular flu and covid spread in pretty much the same ways however covert spreads more easily because it can be passed on by people who don't even have symptoms in front example just look at all these super spreader events. That didn't happen before. It's not like if you went to the movie theater and just anyone had the flu. You al- suddenly got the flu. There are also differences at the macroscopic level. Like how it sticks to the particles that we exhale when we breathe or talk like cova sticks more easily so is easier to transmit of course doctors

"That means there's not a whole lot going on a bunch of teams. Shut down their off-season programs. I'm at the end of last week. I think you'll see more of that this week. Probably some teams going into next week with their young guys, but for the most part, the virtual part of the offseason program is over a lot of. Of, coaches have sort of felt like they've gotten to the point where they've done what they can do over the computer. They're gonNA let guys go. They're gonNA let their coaches go, and we'll see where it goes from here. We don't know one coaches and players are going to report back the date for most teams July twenty eighth. The question now becomes whether or not they're going to be showing up to camp early. To accommodate a longer acclimation period, or if they show up on time again that report date for most teams July twenty eighth. With the idea that they had the acclimation period. Cancel some preseason games. To accommodate the that that period of time so that's what's ahead right now. We still have plenty for you here. We got two great guests coming in, but we're GONNA start as we always do at the takeaways and I take away for the week. I. Don't know if you guys were watching on Tuesday night, Roger Goodell this actually Monday night Roger. Goodell went on ESPN as part of This return to sports special that all the commissioners on told Mike Greenberg on Colin Kaepernick. If you want to resume his career in the NFL. Then obviously, it's going to take a team to make that decision, but I welcome that support club making that decision. Encourage them to do that if efforts are on the field. But continuing to work on the space, we welcome him to the table and to help us guide us. Help us make better decisions about the kinds of things that need to be done in the communities. We have invited him in before. We WanNA make sure that everybody's welcome at that table and trying to help us deal with some very complex difficult issues that have been around for a long time, but I hope we're at a point now, where everybody is committed to making long-term sustainable change, so my basic. Take away from this is that I think getting Colin Kaepernick on the roster is going to be a little complicated right now for a couple of different reasons. Number one I think it's part of the issue is going to be if the NFL manufacturer something. Does he see that as patronizing? Does he see a team trying to do it to make themselves look good as he see it as the team trying to put the issue to bed, and so rightfully because that trust has been broken over the last three or four years between Colin, Kaepernick, and League there there is the question of how he views and opportunity, if it does come along the next question from a football standpoint. is He willing to go somewhere? On a will see deal. DOES HE WANNA play bad enough? Where if team says we'll bring you in on the minimum, or we'll bring you in less than a million bucks, and there's no guarantee that you're going to make the team, but we will give you an opportunity, and you'll get erupts in the summer and you'll get to get your chance. Is that good enough and on the flip side? How many teams are willing to do that? Knowing they may create a problem for themselves if they have to cut calling cabinet at the end of camp, because remember. Last time con- cabinet play, there were questions that summer over whether or not, he was GonNa make the forty niners roster. They had tried to trade him earlier in the year. They benched him during the year. So the other possibility after now this would be seasons away that he may not be in position to make an NFL team as there, and so that's part of it too i. just think this is. This is not a straight line. And and look like I love to see Colin Kaepernick has left. I love to see how he's able to evolve as a player. You may remember like his explosion onto the scene happened right one. During Tibo Mania in two thousand and you know right after to Tibo Mania, two thousand eleven, two thousand twelve rg three had the huge year was rookie of the year, so while the sort of scheme stuff and the sort of the different types of college offenses were hitting the NFL. Colin Cabernet just right and was awesome for a couple of years in his career, tailed off from there, and so I'd be fascinated to see what the next chapter to that is. I think you know it would be a good message to everybody to see him. Get his opportunity I think some of this is going to come down to a finding a team. That's willing to do it that of course is first, and then be how this opportunity is presented to him and what he's willing to accept, and so there are still some things to work out there. My guess, is he probably you know? He probably gets an opportunity and again then the question would become whether or not. It's good enough. I'm interested to see how all that plays out it's GonNa be fascinating to watch especially. During a year in which for the first time it feels like quarterback supply really outweighed demand where no. You had cam. Newton you still have Cam Newton out there. Joe! FLACCO was out there without a job for quite some time and you know wound up going to a place where he knows the general manager, Joe Douglas was actually the area scout who evaluated him coming out of Delaware. In Two thousand eight in Baltimore. You know you had James Winston available for a long stretch during the off season, so we've seen this off season. It's been a different one at the quarterback position, but I'd love to see what it would look like Khan cabinet, getting on a roster and competing for a spot and the unique thing that I think is going to make it the thing that's unique about this year. I think makes it a little different as you probably won't Cry Training Camp You're not gonNA. Have crowd in the stadium, so you don't have to deal with all that and on top of it. You know I think more teams are probably looking at the idea of adding him from a non football standpoint as a positive versus where you know three or four years ago. I think a lot of teams would have looked at the idea of him. In is like Oh. We have to deal with this and this and this I think is different now and I think that's because so much has changed in our country questioned or a takeaway number two. This is come up. It's going to continue to come up. covid nineteen the situation in Dallas, the situation in Houston Zeke getting it. We've heard now. Coaches talk about quarantining quarterbacks. Bruce Arians in Tampa, brought it up Doug Peterson and phillies and other one who brought it up. To me like the whole idea of what you do. Coming out of positive cases, a fascinating one, and so I like this is this isn't going to affect on Miller Zeke Elliott or any of the guys who have it now. In fact like some of those guys might wind up being better off getting it now because you know they, they would have built up some immunity..

I know Dave Well Smoking smoking a cigar. Naples Florida coach wants that was the first celebrity I ever met. Where'd you meet him? Chicago I want a art contest that was really young like eight or something and I got to go to Chicago, and he was at one of those remember telethons sure they bring all celebrities in the phone, so he was there and I started freaking out. Coach. He's one of the truly great guys in our business. Just he's just great. So, funny I even I used to live in Connecticut I, My wife and I. You know got a place down in Naples Florida. And we just fell in love with it. Just love it. Get up in the morning, right little bicycle. Sex L., so chill and there used to be this bar named handsome Harry's and it was all. Of like good looking people and stuff you know, but older kind of sophisticated older crowd and I'm talking to want out one time and I like I got a place in Florida and he does wear. I said Naples. He Goes I. got a place there. He says. Where do you like to eat I? I like to go have a cocktail at handsome Harry's. He goes I own it. I'm like what what are the and he's been sold it but I was like I. It's it. It looked like once at you. Know Gentlemen handsome. Coach. He's really he's one of the all-time great human beings so. Listen social media's rough and I. May I bait the way I attack. Social media just have fun I. Don't take myself seriously. I can't roll my eyes at it, but I do put some stuff out, so it gets tweets and stuff and my social media team likes it, but it's hard to have an opinion. That goes against the grain. I mean who wants to deal that crap. Your phone blown up. And so people basically in most people in life for followers, anyway so on twitter. It's just followers. Very few people are willing to say now. The opposite is true. Roger Goodell's a great commissioner. Twitter you're wrong. You just keep following. He's no good, but he's more successful than you or anybody in your family or anybody you know, and he runs the NFL, really really well. and. You can't say that on social media. Everybody loves Adam Silver. More woke. Nobody likes Roger Goodell. And I look at the schedule. It's just great. I mean do you notice this in week to every team? Playing each other has a bye week meaning they can move it. No Division Games in week three and four meaning virus they can move it. September is very malleable, also super bowl in Tampa. There's a two week to week space, but before the Super Bowl so get a break there. They can move that around. Lots of flexibility and the NFL's really well run. I don't think they get everything, right. Anybody that criticises goodell for as missteps as somebody. That's never had a big boy job. It's hard lead Canadians like everybody. They don't even like their prime minister. We didn't like Barack. Obama wants because he wore a beige suit. People just don't like leaders. Social media's vile, an angry and anonymous. We don't like anybody. We don't like any of our commissioners and I, like I think all of our commissioners. Into like Ivy League schools. They're successful people. I like all of them Adam, silver sometimes is a little too pro player, but that's the NBA. It's always kind of in the NBA, but I met. All these commissioners met all of them. I like all of them. They're all smart but goodell gets just clobbered. Do you know how hard it is to run the NFL? Regulated regulated violence. You got the gambling hangover it. It's absurdly popular. You've got network. You're on every network. You got every network executive and president, and the Murdoch's and this group net group, and they're all asking questions, and it's hard and players make mistakes and players are young, and there's domestic violence, any kind of butchered it and then the capital. These are hard hard again. Canada likes everybody. They don't like their prime minister, but I looked at the super bowl. This year I thought join I agreed. It's one of the best five hours of TV. It was is incredible incredible. Hickup I thought free agency. This year he got blowback was terrific I. Thought the draft I'm still we work in television. Televisions hard it anyone point join I. could triple Redan wire innocuously off the air. They went four days on that draft. On zooms and it was brilliant from basements. You got to see the families and the kids. It was so heart warming and I thought the schedule yesterday that got all sorts of little opportunities in early season to move it. You just gotTa. But nobody wants to say that about him. Nobody's saying he's perfect. No I. President I love I loved Reagan disagree with a lot. I loved Obama. Disagree with a lot, but by and large. This league is so well run, and it's hard and I'll tell you this. Here's an here's an advantage to the NFL. States now we've got unemployment rate of fifteen percent. States need additional revenue because these budgets are all going to be deficits. States are going to pass gambling. Legislation Fast you thought pro sports gambling legalized. Supreme Court was moving in the right direction. It's going to be overnight. You're going to see states approve why they need additional revenue for their states so good luck taken on the NFL when sports is legalized and forty eight to fifty states in the next six months. They are all going to sign off on it for additional revenue for the states they're. They're going to be all behind it. And what sport do we the NFL? But I looked at that schedule release yesterday. No league turns a combine a draft and schedules into must watch television and nobody wants to admit Roger. Goodell's good perfect. No flawless. No made mistakes, yes! But Canadians don't like their prime minister and they like everybody. It's an indication, an illustration of how hard it is to run a country, a business or a league. I think Adele's great. I've met him two times dinner with him had drinks with him. He could not he unlike a lot of powerful people. He's a listener. He just asked questions. He wants to know answers. What do you think? Why do you think that he is just constantly curious about how to get better? And I watched this thing last night, and I looked at the schedule and I'm like Man Bravo. By the way the Patriots. Now many of you. Would suggest that I'm a Patriot Toma. I. Of course, am not they just have the best coach and the best quarterback for like fifteen twenty years. But I looked at their schedule, and when I say they're going to go six and ten or seven and nine I get nothing but pushback. You look at the schedule you tell me. Where the nine and ten wins are. Jarret stidham week to at.

"We've inform you commissioner Roger Goodell's told teams around the league draft will go on as rigidly scheduled next month so it will take place April twenty third through the twenty fifth will be scaled down in televised in a way that reflects current conditions it was originally planned to be a big outdoor production in Las Vegas that's off Jason got off on the decision by the league to keep the draft where it is from a logistical standpoint from a due diligence standpoint from a tone deaf standpoint I don't see how this can go off without a hitch and we already know that it's a crapshoot as it is but we're not having those private workouts not having a chance for your doctors maybe to put hands on the home guys or maybe get another medical report afterwards if you send somebody to another position because right now all physicians are under such stress and such strain because of his medical health crisis that we have right now anybody moving with any kind of certainty or absolute fox says to me that there's money on the line in those deadlines that have to be met Golovkin win going will Kane on the idea that the NFL show must go on I think we have to make do do what we can to do our best I thank Roger Goodell's right to move forward with the NFL draft because postponing it begs the question of until when when are we going to be out of this when we got to get back to normalcy when can John Elway go interview players I don't know the answer to that I don't think doctor felt she has the answer to that I don't think anybody has the answer to that just yet if you don't have an answer that you have to make do from Harlem world since free agency started I well there's certainly been some I haven't seen a lot of kick back it's everywhere all little nervous of what people gonna think out there guys are signing these big deals in again in our world where a lot of times the big machine at the NFL can get ripped for not doing things socially right I haven't seen a lot of that so I I do think people are enjoying it again in the in the sports world and I and I do think people enjoy the draft the worst of the pandemic is probably still about fifteen days away right and then it's how do we deal with that and that would put us literally eight nine ten days before the start of the draft and there might be a different dynamic there but at this point I think the idea of the NFL going for from a public from a sports fans rushed right let's be clear I think people are somewhat comfortable with that again this is a by product the New World War now in player physicals not exactly ideal for NFL teams who haven't been able to get the players their facilities to after agreeing to deals one such example the ravens and Michael Brockers the defensive tackle well he's now not heading to Baltimore instead of heading back to the rams two sides did reach an agreement last week on a three year deal rockers couldn't take it out of physical at their facility ultimately did so with an independent doctor concerns arose over a lingering ankle injury two sides couldn't come to terms on an amended deal so he's back to LA for three season cowboys come to terms on deals with kicker Briggs line and defensive tackle Dontari Poe's airline gets three or seven point five million PO two seasons at ten point five signing an indication Dallas is looking to get bigger on that front line speaking of boys.

We can all finally agree on one thing that Bruno Mars, great, Bruno Mars. Because I normally I used to think of him as kind of more appealing to two women or people who like pop music, but then one of my best friends her dad is like a six year old white dude loves Bruno Mars sixty zero white do yet. "Our guys let's move on. Because we have a lot to get to on this next one nearly two weeks later there's still a ton of attention on the no call from the NFC title game. Sean Payton had his season ending press conference yesterday, and many people believe his undershirt was the same shirt that we've seen in the past mocking Commissioner Roger Goodell. Also yesterday, the Commissioner gave his comments about the no call an instant replay. Let's take a listen should be expanded. It does not cover judgment calls. This was a judgment call the other complication is that it was a no call, and our coaches and clubs have been very resistant, and there has not been support today about having a replay official or somebody in New York. Throw a flag when there's no flag. Whenever -ficiating is part of any kind of discussion post game. It's never a good. Outcome for us. We know that are close. No that are ficials know that. But we also are officials human. We also know that they're officiating game moves very quickly and have to make snap decisions under difficult circumstances. And they're not going to get a right? Every time as they say, they're human. All right, Shannon. I've heard you say something like that. So what do you make of what the Commissioner had to say commercial? Goodell said what I thought he would say that this is a human. This is a game that's played by humans officiated by humans, and sometimes that human element comes into it. And they make mistakes in this wasn't egregious non call. But I don't want that skill because let me tell you what's going to happen. If there is not a flag on the field. If like you said when you watching at home, and you don't see that little flag inbox or you watching in the stadium. And you don't see that flag on the field. And then all of a sudden, you see officials whole huddling up. And then all of a sudden there is a flag on the field. You know, when that's going to lead to skip Bayless. You don't want that? I don't want judgment calls subject to a flag not being thrown in. Then all the sudden here comes one because it's not going to be a good. Look. This is a bad. Looking Commissioner said this happened almost two weeks ago? Sunday will be two weeks that this flag is caught this non call. What should have been a call wasn't called? And we're still having Thursday before the Super Bowl and was still talking about it, and that cloud, look, it seems to me that everything that goes wrong. If a deep board, I'm sure there are people in Kansas City that blame Roger Goodell for that. No matter what transpires in the NFL, whether it has to do with Commissioner Goodell or not it just seems that it's really easy to blame him. Now. I hope skipping. I don't wanna be presumptious. But it should look like the same color shirt that map Patricia got off a plane with and had commissioned the deal with clown those on now, I hope that would be beneath Sean Payton, I just hope that it would be. But I don't really know what else they can expect the commission could do to do. He called our every Rivi on call Sean Payton at the end of the game is the Sean we blew it. That was a wrong call and not only did we not did we blow the PI we blew the helmet to helmet. I'm sorry. There was nothing. We can do. And as Commissioner said in his speech. There was never a thought. For him to play that game over skin. I believe they have that that rule in the book that Commissioner can order a continuation of a ballgame. But I believe it has to do with natural disasters. Skip you remember nineteen eighty nine when the earthquake if something like that were to happen or unforeseen inclement, weather, you have a stun up under storm lightning for extended periods of time or day lewd something like that in a playoff game..

"That but i think there should be more reviews for maybe some strike three calls maybe but that's my opinion yeah but anyways what roger goodell he's basically fending his referees which is everyone expected that it just it took a long time for him to state the obvious okay is that is that is that okay is that right this i i don't think he should have spoken until he did to be honest us my opinion i think he was just i don't know i a lot of people worried by he was so quiet i'm not sure what the situation was maybe he was maybe it was the right time to say it but i don't know i just don't think that he could have said anything before he addressed the media yesterday that would've appeased anybody i think oh what we're guardless what he said no one would be happy about it but i think it's one lines of lake taken the bullet i don't know i'm not sure i mean i understand from from fan's perspective you gotta look like why did he takes a long i mean i guess i don't know i feel like what he said yesterday was exactly what he would have said last week and we'd still all saying i think everyone was expecting that same response i think he was right to to not say anything back away from it let let let it settle yeah let it the heat of the moment way kind of settled down you know what it cool offer a minute because i think all he would have done based on the timing is kind of throwing gasoline on that fire you know with comments so i don't know man i don't i'm not someone who defends roger goodell i don't care for roger goodell i think a lot of his decisions in the a lot of things that he says regarding especially regarding punishments players getting in trouble off the field i find him to be hypocritical at times i find him to be unfair at times i'm not why event him at all but on this particular instance i don't think he could've done anything different that would have been better i really don't because saints fans were upset n._f._l. fans are up in arms and yeah he could have said the same thing he didn't say what did he say he said every he said would enormous commissioner would say you didn't give any concrete answers he answered the questions with a lot of vague responses will look into fixing this we'll look into the differences but what i did find interesting from what he said was that these teams have always voted against expanding replay and there's something to that so it's hard to get mad at him because the saints or another team are able to challenge a particular play like that we'll refreeze always get calls wrong yeah they will yeah it's it's gonna happen regardless because referees like you said are human so it's getting not everyone's in a different perspective when it comes to that and the thing with roger goodell i quote i forgot who i think it was.

"From Roger Goodell yesterday? I think people wanted answers to questions that they know are going to take longer time than this to come up with right now, I saw tweeden jobs forty-four tweets and another problem with not getting an answer from Goodell. My issue is there's no mention of reprimanding officials Roger Goodell on the press conference. He gives the state of the NFL yesterday leading up to Super Bowl fifty three leading up to the Super Bowl. Like he does every year. Said that the NFL is exploring options using the technology at their disposal to potentially try and eliminate situations. Like, this going four mentioned all the jargon that we've heard about the usual resistance to challenging or reviewing subjective calls judgment calls by the officials and said these officials human they make mistakes. Yes. So do players and players get cut. They get custody out some of them never get to play football in the NFL again, if you make too many mistakes, and so that to me is the one answer I want and that can come in time that doesn't have to come now. And it definitely doesn't need to come from the the Commissioner whose job is to get you to Super Bowl Sunday. Although our ESPN NFL analyst Ryan Clark believes that and everything the Commissioner said is all a bunch of hot air. Look at every question that Roger Goodell answers. There's never a solution in the answers that it's very seldom you get. This is what's going to happen? This is what we spoken about. Here's the next step. We are taking when you listen to this press conference. It's a lot of I'm gonna make sure I feel enough air to answer your question. So I can say I stood up here. And I replied to what was asked. But this is very seldom I watch that press conference that go man, I have so many answers to so many questions that I didn't have forty five minutes ago. And that's not the design the designed to get you to Sunday. And Roger Goodell was paid handsomely to get you to Sunday, and he's been doing it at that high level for quite a while. Now, speaking of Sunday right now which way are you leaning out still leaning patriots. That was my gut reaction coming off of conference championship weekend. And it's hard to knock me off that perch right now. But as we get closer and closer, I'm sure I'll heavens awesome in a way that will make me ultimately, very sad when it comes to where I actually lay my shackles in this one. Okay. I got laughed at for wanting. Under yesterday. But I'm gonna ask you again over under four chips waffle house while you are in Atlanta, honestly, alley the under is looking pretty juicy on this one. Again, I've got one of my belt already was the first place. I went my father Michael senior champion of waffle houses has not been once yet. "Here's my thing. See with you with Roger Goodell. Not address me you depriving both the pace in the Rams of their spotlight in the Super Bowl because you now you got bringing up a topic that we supposedly moved past that. But because you didn't address it. Now, we gotta talk about during the Super Bowl win everything should be about the match up. Okay. I I just think you joint you're doing the league of the service. Yeah. Well, there's been a give and take back and forth. Keep in mind retiring saints side and Benjamin Watson had words directed at Goodell for his public silence following the blown call posting a letter to Goodell on Twitter Goodell again as yet to address a clear pass interference Stephen a Smith on a I take with this insight on the subject the league diligently goes about the business of doing whatever it believes, it's it's best interest and sometimes at the expense of the players. So when you have a guy like been Watson speaking, basically what he's saying is also bone and. In other words, speak up know acknowledged that y'all ain't flawless knowledge that you're infallible acknowledged that all mistakes that you guys have made. And that there are things that could be corrected because we got screwed over in this particular context if you are play particularly one in the NFL, and you constantly have to succumb to the authority. And and and and the big heavy hand of the National Football League. It would be nice on occasion when they will in the fess up and acknowledged that they were wrong in that voice. That ought to be came from the commission. Yeah. Makes sense patriots receiver. Julian Edelman, meantime, he's thirty two played at Ken state while Rams coach Sean McVay whose thirty three was at Miami of Ohio both in the MAC, he had his take on the youthful coach taking his team to super Sunday as a stud anyone I mean, he's my age and he's leading an organization to.

"I hate to be so cynical that it's just about money. But you know, I think that is that is a huge part of it because you're absolutely right. When you think about the the way game. Designed and what they're there to do. And and the themes of games, it doesn't align with anything that the NCWA. I would think would wanna push out for themselves. Right. So how do they make it a line for them? All they make it a line for them. If it lines it aligns if it lines their pocketbooks. Well, thank you very much. Like I said at the beginning. And I I'm already worried to even check mementos because this is not my wheelhouse. And there's so much to get into that. We probably haven't even thought of about the about like the many things that that are at play here. I just think it's interesting to to hear someone like Emmer speak on it. And maybe not consider how what he says. We'll be carried over to other sports. And that's the consistent problem that the NC double is gonna face. This is a very tenuous deal. They've got working right now that allows them to make a ton of money off of unpaid athletes and continue to push this student athlete amateur thing, and it's gonna get harder and harder to keep up as more and more money is being made not just by these sports, but in life right people able to make money in so many weird unusual ways that didn't exist before a now continuing to hold back athletes from doing that even in ways unrelated to their sport is going to get tougher on particularly as we see. And you always bring this up someone. Like, no one's worried about Justin Bieber getting an education. Right. If you know, we don't worry about musicians or or anybody else doing their thing at a young age and making money and profiting off of it or Instagram influencers or any other random job that didn't really exist before. Right. So it's getting tougher and tougher to keep up the guys that this is, you know, the best way to do things and adding and other elements like this is going to make it I think even harder for them. An interesting note, the according to Michael Brooke see executive director of the national association of collegiate east boards, the number of postsecondary institutions offering Eastport scholarships has grown almost five times in the last year. So it it is it is absolutely growing at an alarming rate. I it's it's going to be here. And it's part of the future of sports, and it's part of the future of gaming. I just don't know. Exactly. What part of all of it? It is with the NC double A straight ahead Vegas is getting ready for the Super Bowl. We're going to go behind the curtain next. Spain and Fitz hanging out. On ESPN radio and is always the ESPN app. Obviously throughout the course of the night. We have talked a lot about Hardin a lot about Roger Goodell. That's a this. Interesting. Little nugget just came across from the NC double A. And it's about something. That's a controversial for a lot of people, Sarah e gaming, and and there's this movement of trying to figure out east sports, I should say with these boards where they belong in college campus where they belong in college environment. Several colleges now have started clubs that are competing against each other. But it's not sanctioned by the NC, double A and the answer. Bolaise doesn't seem to really have a lot of interest in it and the president of the NC double A, Mark. Emmett has spoken out on it. Part of the quote of note, we may have an opportunity in front of us to apply valued east boards, better align, those games to our values to change not just what happens in our activities. But what happens across your campuses and more broadly? What happens in society, we don't want to ever change our values to fit a game or some other entity. We want to change. Entity to fit our values. He's talking about essentially a couple of things noted in the article, the misogynistic nature, the male dominated sport of east. We want to call it that for east sports. And and also the violence that's in it. So it's interesting that the incident as having to come out, and sort of defend their position on not embracing east sports, but it's not a total surprise to me. Yeah..

"Mike, we're having a discussion tonight on Roger Goodell. And the fact that he hasn't spoken. So I would ask you if somebody that's in the heart of of the saints fan of in the heart of that that fan base if Roger Goodell comes out and speaks what does that fan base really expect to get at? Well, listen, they won't they've never forgiven him for bountygate. So now, you know, it's almost like playing blackjack with somebody, and they slip you to tens and he slipped the one car on you. He slipped as down. They're gonna hate him until he leaves the commissionership. And that's one thing people down here on the buy a saints fan and everything else they gonna take this with them till they're dying breath that that they would have hoped that. He would have come out and said something at this point in time. It goes to show his lack of leadership and one thing. I was correct on. I knew when I left that Superdome that day that this is basically what was going to end it that you know, he wasn't gonna say anything until his state of the union football address at the Super Bowl. And so so far I've been right about that part. But he's the most hated man. It is not even close down here. Not just about the missed call. But also, you gotta remember you peel back of years about what I think everybody here perceives as a trumped up charge against the saints on bountygate. I'm of the opinion that he would save himself. A lot of trouble. He had already spoken about this. Because now I agree on Friday, and his only hope left is that no one will wanna talk about it next week because they'll find only wanna talk about the two teams that are actually playing in the Super Bowl. Do do. You think it matters to saints fans or really to anybody watching if it ends up being in the state of the union because of a question that he's asked therefore being reactive instead of proactive in terms of addressing it. I think the saints fan now they could care less. You know, it is what it is. And I think the reality has finally sit sat in on saints fans that you know, it ended Sunday, but you know, in doing sports talk, you know, as you guys do with. Sorta vent pipe fourth. And it's it's unbelievable to hear it. And and at highest level of disdain for Roger Goodell who didn't have anything to do with the play. That's the thing. You know? It's not so much about the officiating. It's it turns very quickly toward Goodell. And again a lot of that has to do with with past issues on this team. But again, if you followed this league is thirty four years from me covering it. He's never come out and made any quick statement about anything that's happened in the league. He's the keeper of the NFL volt that that's his job to make sure thirty two owners are getting their money for league matters and things of this sort it takes them forever to come out with a statement and one thing in we've had the really good fortune of having been watching on our program numerous times, and Ben is such a great guy and one of the things him doing a little bit about my background me. Knowing him is he's always said this, you know, let's do the right thing. Because don't what we try. To do as parents or as grandparents to teach our kids to do the right thing and to be stand up people. And when we make a mistake to admit it 'cause that's part of leadership that that, you know, that makes you a leader for you to say, you know, what I take blame for this. It's my fault. I take blame for it. And yet, I think here you have a Commissioner who says nothing in essence, he doesn't wanna take blame for anything at any level. As far as the NFL is concerned. But bins absolutely right in his comments about the fact that this is part of you being a leader..

"The the shack rocking you to sleep. What are you talking? Wouldn't that be great? It's Jack was on call and you can rock you to sleep. And then when that happened you could turn to Russell Westbrook, and you can do this out. Great with that. Big shock has had you in the air once before came up from behind pick me up the no idea what was happening at that. Wasn't that at the at the all star game in New York? Welcome PTI, boys and girls in today's episode. I need the warriors Djokovic face isn't a dollar and John Calipari joins us for five minutes. But we begin today with day six of the ongoing ill-will stemming from the no call last Sunday in the ram saints game to developments to discuss Benjamin Watson tied into the saints blasted Roger Goodell. I continued in action staying in part. And I quote, your continued silence on this matter is on becoming of the position you hold detrimental to the integrity of the game and disrespectful and dismissive to football. Everywhere from the locker room to Park Avenue accountability is what makes our league great lead. By example. We are waiting on quote and the NFL ever tone-deaf. Find Rams Deby macelroy Coleman twenty six thousand seven hundred thirty nine dollars a nice round number for his helmet to helmet hit which wasn't even flagged. We'll done. I assume this settles for you. And it was already settled not accountable. An active players said of the Commissioner of leak. Yep. Accurately, you are to shiftless and lazy to even be accountable. That is unbelievable shot across his dome and moon for Benjamin Watson who's who wrote to me. And the NFL has the nerve to find someone four hit then apparently didn't exist. It didn't exist in real time in the game. This Tony Tony? You cannot criticize. Roger Goodell enough. And I'll give you credit for being the first person to say step out from under your guest addressed the publicizing. I I read what Benjamin Watson said. And I just applauded me applauded it takes guts to do that. You'd say to yourself is this a fireable offense? It's it. Sure. It's a fireable fence for Commissioner to hide, but he's never gonna dress. Limp. Let me get to the notion of what I think a Commissioner is about and why we have commissioners, and I wrote some notes down. So I'm going to just look at them. I think it's to render decisions that involve the entire population to show the entire population of fans of players of coaches of owners that you you you care that you're involving all of this. These are smart decisions. These are courageous decisions when they have to be. So what we are faced with here is no decision at all total in action. And we're going to wait for that press conference, which is two or three days before the Super Bowl Friday ten or eleven days after this happened and he's going to. Within the question. And the next question is going to be this. So how about the game played in London? We played in London. How this is callously Schefter is reporting death, Sean Payton had to reach Roger Goodell. Roger Goodell wouldn't even take the initiative is is being afraid is being tone. Deaf is all but as long as the owners back them up and down it will change we come to this point once a year where we say this is terrible. But in this particular case, most of those things are terrible not about the general public. This is terrible about the general public that you don't think enough of them to say why have done nothing doing pathetic. Let's move to the NBA and in a vent you had more than passing interest in and Tony I went warriors beating the wizards here in DC last night. You did we were there. Let's focus in on the warriors continuing to play happily with their new toy DeMarcus cousins he made eight of his twelve shots last night. And dominated the paint the way big men used to before they became endangered species. While the rest of the league is still obsessing over going small the dubs are throwing big at everybody. Now, Tony is the concern about boogie fitting in already over in your mind in honoring transparency, let me say I went to the arena..

"Our we'll we'll get to the earnings season which. Oh, we've had about ten percent. Little over ten percent. Maybe fifteen percent. Of the S and P five hundred companies report so far. I'll give you an update on how this earning season is going, and what impact the companies that have reported so far what impact that has had on earnings expectations for this year and next year. The key to all of this is is that earnings have been growing since two thousand and nine is the key indicator. That is the key reason why that these stock market has been going up because stocks and indexes follow earnings. Having said that is now it is now paramount that we continue to watch expectations. Not only do they follow earnings. They follow export earnings expectations. So it's paramount to watch where those expectations are headed for two thousand and nineteen which is now three weeks old and two thousand twenty. And of course, these companies that have reported are also giving guidance for the rest of this year and possibly into next year. So I will be updating you on that it was in the newsletter over the weekend. That's probably the most important part of the newsletter. Tonight. I have a little speaking engagement. South carolina. To a group. I don't know if it's the lions or the Qantas or the Tigers of the pot something one of those groups organizations that get together on a monthly basis, and I'm going to pass out one piece of paper. It's going to be the graph of earnings since two thousand nine there's the most important indicator. It's not a MAC the chart, it's not a relative strength chart. It's not accumulation distribution. It's earnings earnings earnings. And that's why it is so important attract those earnings and one of the drags on earnings in two thousand and nineteen something we need to continue to follow is the shutdown of the government because government spending, and let's not forget, the employees that are laid off right now, they're not spending as much in the economy. And that is going to take a bite out of GDP and could take a bite out of certain companies their earnings once again, the Democrats rejected Trump's bid to end the shutdown. He proposed an immigration deal on Saturday. Remember last week? You said I'm going to have big news big news well before even released like Nancy Pelosi, thumbs down she's not going to budge at all. So we continue to figure try to figure out Trump continues to try to figure out how to get the money for a five point seven billion dollar. Border wall. He did offer DACA. It didn't work no goal. It just seems like they're not gonna give him anything nothing. So we are now in the thirty second day. Of the government shutdown, and it is what one tenth of one percent every two weeks off of GDP. And you know, I think it's going to hit companies like McDonalds, and the maybe dollar tree and some of the restaurants stocks and things like that. But it is something that we need to keep our eye on and see what kind of impact that it might have on S and P five hundred earnings. Well, there's also word of an infrastructure push that came out on Friday. There were big moves in the infrastructure stocks. Oh, by the cements talks construction names US concrete Volkan materials eagle material summit materials. They had big gains on Friday. After reports that President Trump is trying to revive support for his stalled one trillion dollars infrastructure plan. Well, maybe he'll put the border wall is that infrastructure. Can he get that in there? The White House held the high level meeting last Tuesday, led by National Economic Council director, Larry cudlow to chart potential paths forward among issues to have set said to have been debated were reform in the permitting process will that would help grease skids a little bit on all the permitting process support for energy industry projects in the Permian basin and potential revenue from a controversial hike of the federal gas tax. Would you be for that? To help improve the nation's roads and the nation's infrastructure. Meanwhile, globalization four point, oh what it means. And how it could benefit us all the globalists' are meeting in Davos, Switzerland this week, but many of the key world leaders have cancelled their trips with more pressing matters at home, but suffice it to say the globalist are added in Davos, Trump's not their Britain's Theresa May not there Francis. Emmanuel Macron not there and China's Ye Zhen ping and the Hendra Modi from India. So really the major world leaders not freezing in Davos this week. And meanwhile, we have Brexit still out there. What's going to happen? Some are now calling for a second referendum dislike summer calling for a second ram New Orleans Saints game, which looks like the the saints were robbed by not getting that call there's conspiracy theorists. Yeah. Goodell Roger Goodell. He's he's on gronk side with the the ram Maas Angeles trying to build a fan base all kinds of conspiracy theories going around maybe they need to replay replay the game. Man. I guess there's more important things than that. But it is you know, the play your whole season and come down to a referee ruining your chance to go to the Super Bowl doesn't seem fair while the people in Britain did vote to leave the EU, and it still has not happened. Well, okay. I've got a bunch of companies to talk about in the second half of the show. We're gonna talk Google Facebook Amazon. Philip Morris or Altria group are conic MasterCard. Tesla crisper overstock Johnson and Johnson, the travelers company EBay, UBS Palo Alto networks gap, store Stanley back and decker and Logitech. Oh, I don't know if we'll get to a mall one of these will be featured stock of the day, and I want to get to an update of the current earnings situation as we are now well into earning season. We've had several companies report today, I want to say we're going to have about sixty sixty.

There's never any shame. So you know, what? So he follows up with I will eat you. You know, what I think Roger Goodell needs. What knowing you would probably be a hug? No, more power. I think what we should really do is give Roger more power turns out in the world of interesting is we talk about the way the games ended last night, and especially the controversy around the blown past interference call immediately. The league admitted if anyone didn't see inside two minutes to go the saints are marching with the ball. There's a blatant pass interference committed by the Rams, it somehow isn't called and Adam schefters point earlier and on Twitter could have been a face guarding. It could have been unnecessary roughness because it was helmet to helmet contact. It could have been passed interphase billion penalties. It could have been. However, it was none of those. And it turns out that between that and some is management of the clock the game. And the game goes to overtime Rams win in overtime pass interference had been called for the saints. It is literally they're up. I think four at that point. It is Neil. Neil. Neil kick. Right. If they wanted to and they get out of there with a win. So it was super simple. Like it was right?
