"Yeah, see you in the interesting deal. I think that's so you're talking about you have a ten shot lead. You have a ten Shelley but in the back of your mind at dinner the night before the final round, you're thinking about winning as a team. So you still have to bring it the next day. Lead in an individual tournament. You're not going to lose. You're really just not. But if you're on a team and the team needs you to perform still and you've only got a one shot lead, then you need to bring it. That is something that surprisingly even here because, you know, something we've never thought about in regular team golf outside of walker cups, Ryder cups and stuff like that in college golf. So it's refreshing. I loved college golf. That was high school golf college, all of this, but I live for it. That was what I do. And then I got to pro golf and I hate just hate it from day one. Just lucky to hang on for four or 5 years and do okay, but so talk about talking about this week. You got this hard golf course, sounds like it's like Carson creek, but narrower. And harder. It's going to be a 150°. The ranger, the range goats, range goats are peaking right now. Is there any way that you all can beat the four aces? Come on. Man, that's the some would say the $50,000 question. I'll let you all take that as you want. That's the goal, man. Ever since I decided last year to move over to the range goes from basis my dude DJ has been talking some talk. And so wait, that was your decision? I thought he traded you.

"You feed off each other too, I'm sure. I mean, that's just like the way the college calls you. Yeah, for sure. Yeah. So I was wondering about this. And so when you play the BGA tour when Colleen played the BJ to our place, or you have a direct deposit set up, all right? And you have it set up to where you get paid, the Wednesday after every tournament or Wednesday morning, bam. account. Every week, is it the same on land? Do you get paid like the next week? Yeah, so I was checking my phone all Monday 'cause I'm like, I want to see that thing hit. And yeah, no, that Monday after the direct deposit hits. It was a little bit disheartening, seeing 47 and a half percent because of a billion taxes. So yeah, that was a little disheartening, especially coming a week after Uncle Sam had already paid another visit for last year. So yeah, but no, it comes, it comes almost. Sometimes it's like 48 hours, but it's usually 24 hours after it direct buys a hit and it was a big one this last week, but yeah, it sucked that 47 and a half percent was withheld for Australian taxes, unfortunately. Dude, so you're talking instead of $4 million, you get a wire for like 2.3. And then you got to pay federal taxes in the United States now too. Yeah, hey, I'm by no means complaining. But the four once you cut it all up is let's just say it's a lot less than four on the back end of it. But hey,

"You go shoot, you guys shoot 85, three times, and you make a 150 grand. You're an actual pro athlete. That's what people don't understand, I think, is the spending on the PGA Tour. I think my best year in 2015, I spent like $350,000 just to play. And you know that. If you were playing, I don't know what you spent, you know, what were you on the PGA Tour? Two or three years, three or four years. You probably spent between two 50 and $350,000 just to do your job. That's unheard of. Yeah, and it's always like a challenge because it's like, you know, you want to, it's like any business, like you want to not overspend and you want to spend properly, but at the same time too, do you shoot 67 rather than 68 if you're staying at the Ritz versus the hotel 6, like, you know, the comfort of being on the road and that added value of being somewhere nice, eating good food, you know, just all that, it makes it challenging as far as like, all right, you know, I mean, there's like I just told you like, you know, I'm not on hotels dot com trying to find the best value every single week. Now I'm not going spending, we're not spending a $1000 at 9 hotels every week, but I'm staying in more comfortable places, you know? And there's just something that inherently makes you more comfortable when it's not coming out of your pocket. And it just, to me, I feel like it helps me place a better golf that's one less thing I got to think about focus on worrying about, you know? Yeah. And that's what I got a question from a buddy of mine here in Fort Worth. And he was wondering about the winners on the live tour, right? So far. And they haven't necessarily been winners on the PGA Tour before. So you have like Danny Lee, yourself, you know, Brooks is one twice. Okay, Brooks is one device. It's kind of the anomaly. But for the most part, almost all of not all, but almost all of them besides Brooks and chuck. Have been first time winners as a pro, whether or not that's PGA Tour or live. And he was asking me why I thought that was. And I thought, I told him, I said, it's because they have a lot less pressure on their plate. Yeah. What do you mean? I mean, there's no doubt. DJ and cam and Brooks, there's been guys one on live that have had ultra success everywhere, but yeah, I mean, like Charles Howe, who is an incredible golfer as we all know and has played at incredible career, you know, some would argue he hasn't won as much on tours, but you would expect, but, you know,

I wish I was having a little bit of that Brown juice behind PG said with the both of them. Yeah, it was a blast. And we'll have to do it again soon. And we can't let that happen. We just can't let that happen on this podcast because we are for the people. At the end of the day, the guy's a hell of a player. Beyond nails. That is the hardest part three of the PGA Tour. Yeah, that's exactly right, Julia, Taiwan's foreign ministry says that the China drills are part of a game plan for invasion Joseph Wu says he believes China has been planning both the drills and the invasion for a long time. He says the violation of the straight media line affects stability in the region. Meanwhile, U.S. House speaker Nancy Pelosi says Xi Jinping's response to her Taiwan visit is like that of a scared bully Pelosi on MSNBC says he's acting because of his insecurities coming from within his own party. I don't think that the president of China should control the schedules of members of Congress or anyone else who wants to visit Taiwan. He's trying to isolate Taiwan. We're gonna be all night folks. Two and 99%. What? What? Oh man. All right, that was a train. I thought you were gonna say that was a treat, but. Well, it became a treat. Yeah. Sometimes out of this shit. It comes a diamond. Sometimes you find that piece of corn on top of this shit sundae. And I'm spent. All right, fade questions. Bobby, the Mark soy dam is Vince going to be like the boss from Ted with the dude that attacks Seth. That took guts. We need guts. Maybe. Yeah. He might be getting a contract as we speak. Right. Yeah. Mark Carver, what's wrong with wrestling, 2021, award winner for the year. Becky at Survivor Series, bottom left a couple times. Yeah, that could be best dressed for the year. For sure. Ryan gooch, Patreon bracket idea, what's wrong with wrestling best of have the listeners submit their favorite bits from the show? Real Saudi Arabian, who are you, pizza, Eric sing Triple H's theme, could be fun. We've had this brought up before. I just feel it would be weird for us to vote on our own things. Right. Like for a bracket. I mean, maybe we could do some sort of fan vote where they were like the fans just vote for everything. I mean, we do that. We did that last year with the end of the year awards. Yeah. Maybe we could do something like that. Chris dipper and random question totally unrelated to raw. Have you ever wanted to tap that ass so bad, you jump a guardrail and attack her baby daddy? A couple times, yeah. I mean, I'm just close. Close. Ryan Hensley should Vince keep the egg in his lockbox that way no one will ever find it. Oh yeah. You really should. That's one of the biggest mysteries of WWE history solved. I have the key to the lock box. Okay. And it's gone. I guess we'll never see the Nazi memorabilia that Vince has. Joey poof, what's tougher to watch, Ross centering around a goddamn egg or the New York Jets contraband quarterback controversies? There's no controversy. They all suck. Han's the moment hard would be interesting to start predicting what you think the grade of pay per view will be ahead of time. IE day one was a D minus, but we predicted it to be an F so good job WWE sucks slightly less. I think we would all predict fs and D minuses. Yeah, I think so. We're always expecting shit. So when it's good, even when it's a C we're like, who's the same? I'm gonna say C minus right now for day one. No way. D plus. It would make more sense. That's crazy. The Royal Rumble 'cause we have expectations. Yeah. So like saying, I think the Royal Rumble is gonna be a C and then see how it actually comes out. The Royal Rumble is so hard for it to be lower than a C the best match of the year there's always a surprise. Remember when Sheamus won? Yeah, sure. But the winners lately have been good. So they're doing Seth. They are maybe they are? Sure, maybe they're due for a couple bad ones. I just mean it's hard for them to fuck that up. So I'd say like a bee. It's hard for them to fuck up a lot of this stuff, but they find a way. How about finds a way? How about two nights of mania, FF? We're giving a fuck. All right, let's see what happened. Jake baker pushed for a very thrown together tag teams forgotten feuds in the name of bran supremacy that God damn egg. That got fired that guy. Why are the egg? Brand supremacy is buried and pushed random tags. Yeah, sure. I guess. I'm here, so I watched this Sean Doc on the cock about the second half of his career. Being young on Doc on the cock, being young, I haven't watched most much of the first half of his career, so which one y'all think is the better part of his career? I think it's the second half. Yeah. You know, I mean, he was carrying WWE when he was champ for the first time in his Iron Man match with Brett was legendary, but man, the stuff he did, the matches to undertaker. You have to say the second. He came a better wrestler. Yeah. He had he had great stories. He didn't really have the great stories when he was when his first run. Mario Rizzo worst raw ever, and that says a lot, I can't even come up with a question for you guys. Fucking awful. I don't blame you. It was bad. Roll up connoisseur, bracket idea, most what the fuck did I just watch moment? Good or bad examples include Katie Vick, Mae young, birthing a hand, Stephanie and Triple H's wedding, Rollins, popping rays eye out. First fire firefly funhouse, that security lady trying to tackle Gronk at WrestleMania. If you can get a list of 32, I mean, we would consider doing it as a bracket. But then the worst moment in wrestling history. No. I mean, it would be the hand. The hand has got to be like number one, right? It's gotta be the number one seed. You think so. Yeah. For weirdest. Worse would have happened. If it's just worse moment, yeah, like Goldberg beating Kevin Owens. Well, he said, what the fuck moment? Right. If it was worse moment, the finals would be Goldberg beating Kevin Owens, going up against Goldberg being beating The Fiend. Yeah, right. Yeah. D Barry, who can gender and shanky rap battle next to their last rap was so hard Vince had to cut hit row, yep. Oh, man. Jason dear I'm with how careful WWE is from with protecting wrestlers from injury. Are you surprised they haven't banned biggie from diving through the ropes? The one that Survivor Series was his scariest one yet. I wouldn't say it's scary. There's been a few times where he's literally landed on his fucking head. Yeah. Like the top of his head. Right. You can't ban, you can't ban all the moves because that's the reason we watch it. Right. That's the part that we love, right? So you can't start banning everything. If you get ready to get hurt, there's stunt, the professional stunt, if he dies, he dies. If he dies. Kyle Fox and push fire Barry turn in the egg for a title shot. Keep the egg hitting to drive Vince crazy. Selve the egg for a hundred fucking $1 million. We'll push that. No, you get the title shot. Come on. Yeah. What do you want to be a wrestler? Something money can't fucking millionaire. Sell the egg for a $100 million then give Vince a $1 million for title shot. Yeah. There you go. I shanky. How does Rollins build on this fan attack moving forward? Oh. Yeah, I think that was I think if he comes out looking left to right every time now that would be great for a few times. Pop culture junkie, anyone catch when Sony DeVille said she interviewed every single WWE superstar from top to bottom. As long as they get the sense that your with them on the journey. So you don't hit my when it comes on how you doing. Are you at catch. You really i okay. You want to check in and say we're not going to school with his information about what's happening with the family. Is it a bit strange for you. Do talk about it with your friends. It just every now. And then. I wouldn't do it all the time. If she's find she's fine she'll have some areas that really enjoy relation probably But you don't know that'll be it also difficult tonight. Sometimes kids can carry private shine around the separation. So if if you can see. She's to attend to talk about it. You don't make a talk that you can put things in his. Is it difficult that your parents are separated. Maybe your best friends on the that make you so funny and doesn't matter she doesn't ask if you've called it in your mind and she knows that you've got that so it's it's a really important on that one the armendariz. The almost thing is to really help your child understand and children robbers that relationships gooch just because these ones into it it doesn't namely y- they can't look forward to relationships in the future we don't want to destroy their idea of relationships and Have regrets or tell them. We have regrets because they need to understand that they were made lulls that with these unions. Were choice these. We wanted them and even though is relationships gone in this particular direction. We don't regret any it because we don't want to shame the the cool revamp for children. We are biologically fifty percent of app here. Each parents day a so if we sign. Yeah i regret your father. He was a horrible not that that shames damn and so we want to make sure that we still support choice of the other parents and we wouldn't change it for anything is really important them. Yes suppose that's my own perfectionist attitude like you know just being like hey are you okay. So i haven't done that but it's like yeah. Kids are resilient and like just fine and obviously yeah you want the best for your kid and and so you know. I guess it's natural to be a bit worried. Obviously but she has been very resilient in it was valuable. What you mentioned of of yet just asking the questions of checking in saying hey. How are you feeling. that's match. She might be like. Yeah all good in response to be again. She's just six. But and i actually have had these conversations with her and yeah i mean her. Her response has just been like little couple of questions here. And they're like asking you know why we don't live in the same house anymore but in terms of her feeling emotional about it. She's just like okay like she just kind of moves on quickly from it. So i guess for now. We're okay. wait till the teenagers. you'd know. Yeah yeah he unless she's a little bit of a perfectionist as well and then she might be hiding. Some advice seems to be have a sense. She's hiding things and that she actually. Yeah okay that's great. I mean she she can. She knows she can talk to you. Doesn't she only jesus he's able to if she wants united your day and what you're doing by having the conversations easier letting hannah fridge talk about this these. Who's not something that we need to Putting evolve to admit discuss again. And we don't just have to You know pretend it never happened if it happened. You can talk about each other you can. Who support each other if she has these sands that and any of the situation if the parents think that they are the child's other is still a good person. Whatever for whatever reason even if you blow it up with an affair but you don't make that the whole character so you life is complex but you can still hold onto parent as someone who is a good enough person. That's good for the kid you know. Instead of ripping down the other parent. Neither appearance can united enamel memorize about. Hr remained by that that they can say we were a couple. It didn't work out that your dad still a great guy on your mom's still an amazing and that and you can skip pitting two conversation. I feel safe with that. It means that the parents can hold something that holds still together. They still linked in particular way. And.

Part of this narrative is about the inflation that push Jesus push price inflation in China. That's what they really want to get a stranglehold on. I've seen investors guessing increasingly concerned about inflation, particularly in states. Scientists Have Found Some Truly Ancient Ice, But Now They Want Ice That's Even Older
"It's chilly across the country today. Highs of just fifty eight in miami and sixteen in minneapolis which makes minnesota colder than an arctic as mcmurdo station but the cold weather doesn't last forever in the twin cities and in antarctica. It does ice their last hundreds of thousands even millions of years and as npr's nell greenfieldboyce reports that makes an arctic the perfect place to find some of the oldest ice in the world. Just how old is the oldest ice. On earth john higgins says. Nobody really knows you know. Would i be surprised at this point. We had five million-year-old is i mean. I'd be surprised. But not it's not unfathomable i think he and some colleagues recently collected ice samples in antarctica. That were later analyzed and shown to be as old as two point six million years. It's beautiful stuff when you pull out. The is it. Essentially as crystal clear accepted filled with tiny bubbles the bubbles contain air from when the ice formed and this trapped air is what scientists are really after higgins says if you want to understand how gases like carbon dioxide have affected the climate throughout history. You know you can't really do better other than getting a time machine and going back in time and taking an air sample then using these ice cores which physically just trap samples of ancient air to release that ancient air. All you have to do is melt the ice. That's the sound of a research camp manager in antarctica making drinking water by melting scraps of two hundred thousand year old ice in a metal pot to actually collect an analyze the release gases however ancient is has to melt in a lab. Sarah shackleton studies old princeton where she gets to watch the trapped air bubble out and that is something that i don't know if i'll ever get sick of watching. It's actually like pretty mesmerizing and one thing. That's released surprising every time to muse. Just how much gas is actually in the ice. She says it's a lot and samples from time. Periods undergoing past climate changes could be used to help make predictions about the future. One of the biggest questions in terms of kind of the modern warming and look anthropogenic. Climate changes helmich warming. Do should we expect with the amount of co two that we have in the atmosphere now. Antarctica has been covered by an ice sheet for at least thirty million years. But it's actually pretty hard to find really old ice. John gooch is a geologist. At the university of minnesota he says while snowfalls constantly add new layers of ice to the top of the ice sheet the oldest layers at the bottom can disappear. That's because of geothermal heat coming up from the ground so the rocks are giving off heat of slowly over time and so that has the potential to melt ice at the bomb. Still bits of super old ice like that two point six million year old sample can sometimes be preserved at the ice sheets edges the older snippets of ice. That we've been able to find come from places where the ice has flowed up against a mountain range and been exposed at the surface in those spots though. The ice can be all jumbled up and messy. It's not nice layers that have been laid down sequentially over a long continuous stretch of earth's history to get a neatly layered ice sample like that. Scientists need to drill straight down through the thick icesheet so far the oldest ice collected that way goes back eight hundred thousand years. Gooch says the goal now is to drill down a couple of miles to reach ice. That's older a million to two million years old whether or not we'll be able to find it at the bottom of the ice sheet where we can recover a relatively simple continuous record. Is i guess. That's the sixty four thousand dollar question at team from china has drilling underway a group from europe. We'll start in november. What everyone wants is i-i samples that cover a key time period about a million years ago. When there was a dramatic shift in the planet cycle of ice ages. Those had been coming every forty thousand years or so but for some reason that pattern ended and it changed to every one hundred thousand years instead unto us working on climate. That's a really big deal. Eric wolf is a climatologist with the university of cambridge in the united kingdom. It's a really big question as to why that change is fundamental tower climates. Work in a way you could say. We don't really understand today's climate. If we don't understand why we live in one hundred thousand year will draw the forty thousand year world. The coronavirus pandemic basically ruins the arctic research season. That would've been happening now but starting next fall researchers will be backed down there searching for really old ice nell greenfieldboyce npr news.
