More Shows To Watch If You Liked HBO's Watchmen

"We're GONNA talk about recommendations. I for the long haul and these are things that we are either current or in the way back and there's this you know the. He is like when I sit down to try find something there's so much going on that I spent like an hour being watched I don't WanNa Watch. That should do this and it's like I, just want someone tell me what to watch. That's what we're going to hear for. Yeah. So we're GONNA basis off the some of the nominees for best show in the emmy categories I start off with HBO's watchmen as from Damon Lindelof this set in an alternative universe and drafting off the ground and comic book watchmen is It's like this dazzling procedure designed to also make you think that twenty six emmy nominations, the most of any serious. Like NERF gun to your head best show of the year. What would you say? Oh, it's watchmen watchmen to me like for limited series. So it's an a different categories, but I would even say it's better than all dramas on I. Think. So it's it's crowning achievement of TV this. So for sharp for me, I'm I'm thinking of like I want a show that looks great. Visually also will make me think. So I I wanted to go directly off of Damon Lindelof because I feel like he's kind of peak of his powers right now. So guys are wondering like other stuff he's done and I I can't think about the leftovers it's a similarly. It's a great show. It's alternative universe incredibly well, made really thoughtful but also like very simplistic in terms of you applying it to your that feels like watchmen felt current but also set in a different time. And leftovers current but also sat in a different times. So I love that the weirdness of the masks in watchmen which was so precious. So yeah, it's it's. It's phenomenal the other one I was thinking of when I want to. Recommend a show in in that Washington vein I'll say Black Mirror it's close enough. It's not really narrative based. Yeah. It's vignettes and different standalone stories, but it's kind of an alternate. Reality it looks close enough to realize that you're not sure that it's not. Yeah. But it's also telling us some darkened weird stuff about yourself. And the good thing about Black Mirror is to watch it. You're not watching it in each episode is its own Y'all episode so That's will put like some of our own favorite episodes that we both have really loved that we can include in the note. So you don't have to wonder because listen that first episode it's Just you just need to skip it. Hear me if you don't hear anything else if you don't hear Jamie doing the weird change of momentum at the beginning of the show if you forgot that already that's okay. Forget it. Here me this do not watch the first episode. Mom Don't do it dad don't do it much mom don't do it nobody do. It. Would be a mistake. Okay. It's a for me. If you love watchmen where you're like, that seems like it's good. Let me tell you to other shows that are good. So on that flakes, you can watch Jessica Jones I chose this because you got strong female lead just like you have in watchman, you have a superhero component which you also have and Jessica Jones it's dark. It's Gritty the villain in Jessica Jones is played by David tennant in that first season and he is per faction it keeps you on your toes. It's also very you're very to the visuals also recommending legion. Hulu. That's weird. Right because I think when you watch watchman, you're like I'm confused. Limits where you're like I, need to watch this again. Being, existing Ip it makes you think should I know that and I can confirm I. Didn't know. And watchmen I would sometimes read like recaps after I. Would Watch an episode and that would help me catch things maybe that I didn't grab the first time with Legion stars Dan Stevens? Famous playing. Matthew on. Downton Abbey He. It's a done by Noah. All Superhero Jason because this is the story of professor x his incredibly powerful, mentally ill mutant sign and so it's it also stars Jean Smart who is also in watchmen man she's in a Lotta. Golf that she has very good taste, and so it's weird enough that you're like It's not that classic Superhero which is what I also like about watchmen if we had done if we'd time traveled and done a designing women saying draft Jean Smart would not be my. Number. One pick would be any pots it would be we'll for private. Not. It be any pods, Anthony Delta Burke Julia sugarbakers. dixie Carter lab next to last over Jean Smart. Yeah. My point here is everyone would have been before Jean Smart Jean Smart was second. I'm going to be in Sweet Home Alabama and you're not going to know what to do with the low key cares. Okay.

Delivering on the Promise of Safer, Smarter Surgery with Timothy Lant

"Welcome back to the outcomes rocket. Sal Marquez here and thank you for tuning in. Again I have the privilege of hosting Tim Lance today. He's the president and Chief Operating Officer at Care Syntax before that Tim was also the Senior Vice President and general manager at Sentry Data, systems, and previous to that managing. Director of supply chain. Academy, he's had multiple leadership roles across the healthcare. Industry and today he gonNA be talking to us more about health technology and what they're doing to impact global healthcare markets with their work at Care Syntax Tim such a pleasure to have you here with us today. Thank you. It's great to be here. I appreciate you having me. Absolutely. So before we get into the work that you guys do at Care Syntax me a little. Bit about you and what inspires your work in healthcare. Yeah happy to so you know for me it's a it's been an interesting journey into healthcare. I think a lot of people get into healthcare sometimes because their parents are involved in was no exception to that. So my mother is a clinician she was in healthcare for thirty years and I learned from a very. Early, age how important it was to have a well-functioning high quality, affordable healthcare system in any community that I also got to see how complex it was for my mom both as a clinician as administrator and healthcare I watched a lot of challenges that she faced and so I promised myself that I would never work healthcare and graduated from college I immediately started working in healthcare. And You know I think today you know almost twenty years later now right would. Kinda keeps. ME excited and getting up every morning. Excited about what we're doing is you I experienced firsthand during my time spent several years with with your on healthcare and I worked in the frontline. Saw You know I'm not a clinician but I worked side by side with doctors and nurses and social workers and case managers to try to improve communication and coordination and clinical care inside seen firsthand how complex it is and how difficult it is. But critical it is to you know to our communities into our societies and in some ways I. think it's a it's a little bit how I feel about golf right as you can have A. kind of a a tough rounding Gulf. But you have that one magical shot met keeps coming back for more in healthcare little bit that same way. I think we tend to fixate sometimes on all the problems and healthcare. But then you are on the front lines and you watch how you can save a life writer keep a family together bring somebody back from the brink of death and I think there's no greater thing that that I'd want to spend my time doing than than trying to increase the number of great shots that we have in our healthcare system. So love at your those those winds that keep you in the game for the long haul. And so I, appreciate you sharing that. Plenty of like I'm not GonNa get a nail care you graduate. You're, in. Healthcare. I there's something about something magnetic about the purposeful kind of impact. You could have in health care and I and I share that with yeah and I think a lot of listeners share that with us Tim, and so tell us about care syntax and what you guys are doing add value to the healthcare ecosystem. Yes. So I think care syntax is we're very focused on. Surgery and on the or which I think in some respects especially in the US a little bit is oftentimes I don't WanNa say overlooked. But when we think about population health and a lot of the trends in the last ten years and we tend to hear a lot about chronic disease management and end of life care in these kinds of things and we're very. Focused on surgery, which you know if you take a step back, you know it's a, it's not the majority of cases in our healthcare system, but it is certainly the majority of revenue in the healthcare system for most hospitals comes out of the or and it's also a place where from a quality standpoint you know a lot of quality problems can begin. In the or you know if those surgeries aren't optimal. So this is where we've chosen to focus and you know in our vision as a business is to really enable caregivers to save lives on specifically for us. Kind of Our big vision is millions of lives around the world you know to be saved through use of our technology by by those. Caregivers at the frontline. So that's really really where we're focused and the think You always think about adding value to the ecosystem I, like to look at it in a couple of ways but I think the thing that makes us really unique that we've you know we've chosen to look holistically at the healthcare ecosystem and within that world of of the or. And try to look at stakeholder alignment. So you have kind of your clinical stakeholders, financial stakeholders, stakeholders, and operations, and supply chain, and then obviously the patient. So we really try to look with our technology at how we can bring those key stakeholders together right and drive convergence there, and then we do the same thing around the process side. So looking at kind of that end end process of what it takes to deliver a high quality safe. Surgery and so you've got you know operational components, throughput capacity management logistics supplies, and then you've got quality and safety, and then you have all the analytics learning and Research and development that comes on the back end in that sort of trust creates a continuous cycle. Then that's really where we look to add the most business value is by bringing those stakeholders together and by creating value, not just one small facet but looking at how can create. Value

Interview With Sam Querrey And Eric Hutchinson

"Jon Wertheim here, and it's this week's. Illustrated Tennis podcast, we have two guests this week, a bonus guest in mainstream tennis player guest I. Am Query joins us. He is at the Greenbrier in West Virginia where he was laying world team tennis, and then as he will explain, is ready to embark on a full season starting in August, and we talked to him about what it's been like in the tennis bubble what his plans are for the rest of the season and sort of what the impact of this crazy and cratered year has been on a on a player of his status, his age. then. We have Eric Hutchinson. He's been on the show before Eric is a friend of big. Band of tennis and we talk a bit about what it's like to be a solo performer solar artists in the time of Cova probably not dissimilar to being a singles player. Eric has a new album class of one, thousand, nine, hundred, Eighty, eight. So we talk a bit about the process a bit about this sort of enforced break that we are all on. What the overlaps between music and tennis. All right now and some tennis chatter with a big tennis fan. So Sam Corey versed Haircut Simpson's second. Let's start in. West. Virginia. You're. In the bubble. I am. Tennis bubble. Let's let's start the president as a been. IT'S BEEN AWESOME You know for me I hadn't told a match in. Australian Open because my wife had a baby in February also I mean it's been five months. So I was excited to go I think all the players here are are really loving it and it's fine and we're finally back plans some competition and it's been great i. mean the I've never I don't know if you've ever been here. I. Know I haven't most you'll have in, but the resort is awesome So it is a bubble but at the same time you can there's golf fishing a bunch of restaurants you can go. You know skeet shooting eighteen. So you're you don't feel like you're just you're playing tennis and going back to your room. There's so much to do outside tennis, which is really made it fun for everyone because we are here for for three full weeks. And it's great to be back in absolute competition and. Going to court I mean it's going great so far. Some sounds like summer camp widsom competitive tennis thrown in. That's exactly what it feels like especially 'cause you're you're in the mountains that it's got a very, very much camp field. We're we're only doing this audio. I have to say you're your backdrop is tremendous. It looks like I mean you can kind of see like. Beautiful. No it's. It's this part of the I've never been here like I said it's I mean we went ATV and a few days ago, and you go up in the mountains in the views and. I. Spectacular. Doesn't sound like a bad way to spend July. What's been the? What about sort of the training, the nutrition, the hydration everything that comes with competitive playing how have you been able to deal with? With that. I, mean for me personally that's been that's been tough. The last like months to find the motivation for practice knowing or not knowing when we're GONNA. Start. You know you're kind of always like like apprenticed for like, wow not studying for I'll just as the next day and then I do the next day. So you know the last two months I haven't practicing hard but there's there's a practice shape and there's match shape. It's hard to really get back into your match shape until you play match. So. I'm doing the best. I can I've got Christian Cossio who travels with me as like a physio here with me. So we've been in the gym every day and working on my body. So physically actually feel fine because you know the team that I'm on I'm only playing singles every day. So I've literally got a thirty minute sets of five. And that's all the tennis I'm playing. So off days and even some matchdays I'm finding the other guys have updates in in an extra and extra practice and spending time in the gym and trying to make the most of it won't here. What's the level play? Overall? It's been high I. Mean I've played tennis twenty years because of the incentives this year online means finals, winters, It's intense. The teams are into it i. mean every you really feel like everyone's kind of laying it out there and It's made it better. You know I it's fun of the past but these incentives, I, it's it's up the level and there's a few more come on. There's a the teams kind of gathering around over a little bit more. So it's it's been really fun and I hope they continue to do is incentives can. Stays at this level. Yeah. I mean I was GONNA. Say, this is an interesting. You're a world team tennis veteran. This is unlike any other season you've had you just. League can. Use this crazy. This crazy three weeks as a springboard. I hope. So I. Mean Look at Fred Leading Eric Davidson behind it and they love tennis and You know they seem to have the financial backing to help move it forward in a good direction and Like the nave because of what happened, I mean the level and the talent they have this year is like no other year they've had world tanks. See this type of caliber players for a full season. So hopefully I mean I everyone that plays this year know especially those top players are GonNa say oh. My God this has been fun like this has been a great. Few weeks of practice, it's fun to be on a team and hopefully for the years moving forward, they're going to those top players GonNa WanNa do it again. Give, give us your your like top top four players of the season. If you're writing in your MVP, votes would be Gosh I would have to look at kind of like the the win loss record. you know Bethany Matic Santa's up there because she's just it seems like every mixed doubles in every doubles cheese. You know winning most of those. Sets. closers was up there until she got her she was just on fire. So I'm still GONNA put closers in the mix and then. Not so I'M GONNA try to I'm trying to think of a guy that's. been somewhat dominant. I can't tell I. Don't know I would need to look at like. He's been winning losing.

5 Retirement Mistakes You Might Be Making That Could Be Keeping You From Financial Freedom by Phil Town

"Five retirement mistakes you might be making that could be keeping you from financial freedom by Phil town of rule one investing dot. com. If you want to retire comfortably and many Americans believe they are preparing to do. So in the best way, possible chances are good that you're just not making the returns you need in order to retire when you want to often the obstacles we face have more to do with the mistakes we make when it comes to investing for retirement. The problem is most people have no idea whether or not they are on the right plan towards building their retirement wealth retirement planning can be tricky for. A few reasons. The first reason is that a lot of different factors affect how you plan for retirement. These include things like your salary how much you're saving the investment returns you're getting currently and the benefits you're getting from your retirement account. Another factor is that everyone's actual retirement plan is different. This leaves things very open to varying opinions and options when it comes to what you should do with your money. Generally, retirement planning is about timing and about not losing money, which is rule number one. That brings me to the question of what's the best way to save for retirement. The best way is to learn to invest find companies that you love and understand and buy them when they're on sale when you do that, you're almost guaranteed to not lose money. There is no one-size-fits-all retirement plan for everyone, but there is a place where everyone should start with that in mind. Here are five retirement mistakes to avoid and what to do if you found yourself in a situation where you made any of them. One you haven't saved enough for retirement. Mistake number one is that you haven't saved enough for that. You haven't saved at all when I first started investing I hadn't saved anything, but the money that you invest is going to make you more money than anything else in your whole life. So the earlier you start the better crank down your expenses and crank up the income every dollar you can get into that retirement account now is going to make a huge difference for you down the road. To your borrowing from your retirement money to pay expenses. Mistake number two is that you are borrowing from your retirement money to pay your expenses. You can't do this spend money only on the things you need people often make the mistake of lifestyle creep. This is what happens when you start to make more money and you buy a more expensive car or House with it quit trying to impress people that you don't like anyway if you're spending out of your retirement account, it is crucial that you leave that alone if you spend that money you're going to get penalized by getting. Neither of those things is a good idea. Three you're paying too much interest on bad debt. Mystique number three is you're paying too much interest on bad debt. First of all, you shouldn't be paying very much interest right now interest rates are at historical lows. If you're paying eighteen percent interest than something very bad is happening forget about investing. If you have a lot of credit card debt, the first thing you have to do is get rid of that bad debt. If you could make eighteen percent a year, you're doubling your money every four years you don't WanNa double someone else's money every four years. Another kind of bad debt is when you're borrowing money to buy, you don't need don't be borrowing money to go to the mall that's mall investing, and that's not a great idea save whatever you have to pay down your bad debt as fast as you can. For your becoming inactive physically and socially. This one doesn't have to do with money, but with your well being, it's easy to become inactive physically and socially this will play a big part in your retirement years. You've got to be active physically and you've got to be active socially. For example, there's a retirement community down in Florida called the villages, which has one, hundred, ten, thousand seniors, and what they all have in common is their socially interactive and they're very physically active. They have something like one hundred golf courses down there when I went down there to play Polo, three, thousand people came out to watch and the old wanted to learn about the game staying active and social is so important especially in retirement. Five you're not taking investing seriously enough. Mistake number five is that you're not taking investing seriously enough. This one happens to a lot of people because they just don't think they can do it in our podcast with my daughter Danielle she admits that she doesn't take investing seriously yet. She didn't even want to learn how to invest, but that's all about fear and not knowing where to start think about buying stocks like making any meaningful purchase you do a ton of research before buying a new car or a new house right? You can handle this investing is no different than that. When you take it seriously, it's going to change your life.

Big Tech Funds a Think Tank Pushing for Fewer Rules. For Big Tech.

"Dig. Tech firms are schmoozing regulators into to not doing their jobs. Thirty four anti-trust officials were wined and nine last year by the global anti-trust into the suit, a part of the Antonin Scalia Law School at George. Mason University in Fairfax Virginia basically don't regulate us. Please enjoy this delicious meal. Global Antitrust Institute is funded mostly entirely by big companies affiliated foundations including Amazon Google qualcomm George Mason I covered it when I was at the Washington, Post they were always doing this kind of thing like putting up, you know. Being very friendly to corporate corporate citizens as I recall during this time when they were just getting started. Trying to attract a bigger level of professor there and so talk about this Mr Academics in terms of these things that get funded at universities, you institute Scott. Galloway Institute of Jabal Thank for example. That's right. like it's it's were. Universities are not immune from the lure of capitalism and a big component of. Your ability to get tenure is to get research funded, and it's difficult if you WANNA know. If. You WanNa. Know the outcome and a conclusion of research. Just find who's paid for it. Yeah, and in the case of most academic research. It's a lot of times it's funded. By nonpartisan sources are the university itself, and so if there is a a lease bad version of peer reviewed research, you're GONNA. Find it typically universities, but these think tanks if they're funded by. Certain And we have him on the left care we fund. We found groups to do research to basically support our know our narrative so i. don't think this is anything unusual. The question is abound power in that is. In addition to this think tank Sarah now more fulltime Amazon. Lobbyists making I would bet somewhere between four hundred eight hundred thousand dollars a year. Then there are sitting US senators now one hundred full time lobbyist from Amazon living in DC, taking all of these nice women and men to to golf into dinner and saying hey, we just a big fan of your leadership. We fight to get involved in your campaign by the way when this whole antitrust off comes up. We assume that you're you're for capitalism. Your four consumer lower consumer prices. And this is the danger, but I don't think these think tanks. We have on both sides nervous now whenever I time talking to one today and I was like Oh, where did you get your money? Like I never thought this like in terms of. The university and I was like I'm going to have to check in case, I'm. Saying something that sounded reasonable, but it was sort of like who's paying your bills and you know there was some controversy around some of this Kobe testing of where these these researchers have, it just feels like a lot of steph feels. Bogus like. It feels bogus when they're doing this and they're trying to influence, but I think many some universities are doing real research. Others are much more pay for play and I think that's that's really when I was a does. You've inspired her synapse farmer talking about this when I was? Five years into my Nyu Kerr invited me to a meeting where they were talking about doing some research about around financial markets and the impact on IPO's and They admitted meeting. And there was someone from the Nasdaq, and they were willing to fund it Funds Research and fund even fund center, and as one of the guys in the meeting Professor Bruce Buchanan who I think's one of the clear blue flame thinking economists in the world you know at the end of the meeting, said a not comfortable with the Nasdaq taking money. Money from the Nasdaq for research around the financial markets, because ultimately we're. GonNa end up saying that that the Nasdaq has the right you know. He just wasn't comfortable with private enterprise being injected into academic research, and then the meeting ended and I was like what the hell are you thinking? We have an opportunity to go great research here. Don't so pedantic. And as I've thought about it I'm wrong and he was right. Yeah, you can't help it. You can't help, but if they're paying for like all the smoking ones so much damage in terms of like smoking wants. We're like cigarettes aren't bad. That went on for a long time and Whatever the whatever the research is, it just seems like if it's cooked, it's cooked then. How do you pay for like the university should presumably just pay. Pay For right and live and die on the quality of the research, but that's sort of naive. I suspect you in the majority of about any sort of fifteen year overdue apology to a Professor Buchanan Vice. Chancellor Ingo Walter felt the same way that this was just. This creates too much opportunity for bias research so anyways. Net Net in it's a sample size of one, but Nyu takes that got role being a neutral arbiter very seriously. and. You have these funding you know. I'm thinking of all the different organizations are they seem like the like their criminal justice stuff Very Friedman! It feels like it's really good research right now, and that's the thing it's like who you have. They should at least be very clear about who's paying for it, so you know and and what they might turf. What what the what reports they might put in the drawer like the government is doing right now,

Trump will not visit Capitol to pay respects to civil rights icon John Lewis

"The world said goodbye to a civil rights icon in our nation's Capitol today and elsewhere, representative John Lewis honored in ceremonies at the Capitol. Talk about how that's impacting people where you are and what you saw, but it's hard to underestimate His impact on the civil rights leader. He was literally one of think a gang of six lieutenants under Martin Luther King back in the sixties, and at the time I think he may have been 25 26 years old Martin Luther King was only in his early thirties. When he gave his I have a dream speech, and we forget, you know, there's such towering figures were way think that they were much older than they were. And John Lewis died at 80 has had this incredibly long career. Hey, was beaten to within an inch of his life defending their right to vote and equal rights. For African Americans. This man is a hero. His bravery is is just breathtaking. One comment. I read from a colleague of his today and I was really taken with, she said. It was during the time of the hippies when John Lewis forever wore a three piece suit and carried a briefcase because he wanted to be taken seriously and thought to be ah, involved with important stuff. And you don't see that much anymore. And not only that, but hey also recalled that when he was arrested for civil disobedience, certainly not violence, but simply Protesting and using his first Amendment right to speak up. He always smile for the mug shot because he goes, I didn't do anything wrong. Why should I be doing anything about smiling here truly one of a kind of the benefit of all Americans then and now you go ahead and what's astonishing is that President Trump once again? Is not doing anything to pay his respects to this American icon. Hey, was asked, the president was asked if he was going to go up to the capital to pay respects to John Lewis, who was lying in state. They're one of I think only three African Americans to ever do that Rosa Parks. And Ah, uh, Thurgood Marshall. I think you were the other two. And he the president goes. No, I'm not going to no explanation. No comments about John Lewis. And, of course, he and John Lewis. We're not B f F S. John Lewis famously did not show up to the President's in all your old saying that he thought he was an illegitimate president. That he thought that he or at least the Russians did everything they could to get him elected and that it wasn't a legitimate presidency. He was going to attend the inaugural A good opportunity if nothing else, and this is a crass way to look at it to score some points. And we're all taught from a very early age. We show respect for those who have passed on it. It seems like an easy opportunity for the president take advantage of well. The president has not done that. For many leaders who died over the last couple years. John McCain, notably He did not was not invited to the funeral but didn't even bother to crash He was playing golf at his name escapes me now the congressman from Maryland who died another African American civil rights leader. Also had clashes with the president. He did not show up for that, then think I think the only major funeral that President Trump has shown up for was George H. W. Bush.

You know, beyond a tailor shop when the jersey on their back and those talk thanks. She just wouldn't report everything the player is going to do so. As of now, there's been no backlash effect on Twitter following my people that's on Twitter. Everybody on the floor. I think somebody lives of 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue in DC up 90 pride. No, he wasn't watching if he was playing golf. Oh, we breath off. Come on. You know, I saw the pictures on Selena, you know, But you know that offer show the dope every day has been in the forefront ofthe Social justice law before Colin Chapman that Neil Long before it became fashionable as we're still doing. This is to show the numbers that they are going to take the leadership role. And it happily that these are sisters who take the leadership role and make the NBA now because they start next week. What they going to do what they're gonna Cometa? Because you know you don't show it up. OK, so I've been on Commodus and do something different because they don't and I. Luckily, I'm gonna be on another talk conference called this week with the MBA. I'm asked that question days in the women's I wouldn't do that. But the MBA got a different situation, but they got a law. They have to be outer or not out there doing a national talent. They cannot leave doing that. Doing the national anthem, So it will be interesting to see what it is. They're gonna wave that rule or they're going to do a stump of spontaneous to what the ladies did today. And how the NBA's gonna respond to that. So I was being stupid. I had the phone. I thought that was, you know, I mean, this is bigger than basketball players. They said that all along with the health issue that something's going on the floor that they always said that Again those eight minutes almost nine minutes. Took the world Okay, you are. You can speak. You know You're the journalist or you are a player or you are anybody If you want touched by that and recognise that could have been you. You see that? That brings a whole different perspective. And so therefore I think the ladies is showing that they can do more than just Chucho.

Fox Sports debuts virtual fans for MLB live broadcast

"Night Major League Baseball became the first major sport to go ahead and broadcast games. Weird state where people are thrilled to have entertainment as we're talking, we don't know how thing rated. Crates well. I find it particularly amusing. That Fox sports has said they will debut virtual fans in the live broadcast during this shortland twenty twenty season, so the people people who watch this well as seen CGI fans brought to them. You know with Hollywood special effects and I have to say I think it's an awfully good idea. Well, the initial broadcasts with the crowd noise has been a significant improvement over just watching a silent baseball field with no fans and you can hear. Hear the BASS coaches talking to each other like that's not good, but you know they're really trudging forward now. Baseball and other team sports are in this odd situation where there is so much money on the line that they kind of have to move forward, and they're doing it in whatever way they can, and the audience at least from the preliminary number suggests they want it to the ratings for some of the preseason scrimmages in these major markets were gigantic and. And Fox reported that they had sold out ninety percent of their ad inventory for these sixty game major league baseball season that is going to happen start over the next couple of months, and this is really the big test. Because yes, there's been tennis. There's been golf, but this is the big restart of team sports, and the NBA is going to follow, and they're all living in this bubble in Orlando Florida. Trying to get the NBA restarted Major League Baseball. Baseball is trying to restart even as one of the players on the Washington nationals tested positive for covid nineteen. The day that the season was set to start, so they're going to be these setbacks, but I don't see the League's canceling their seasons because of them, there's just so much money at stake. They're going to trudge forward and the big one. Coming up is the NFL and what they're going to do. The revenue for Fox sports for Turner for ESPN. Is desperately needed I. This is billions of dollars in lost money if they can't get these games up and start selling this. Thing so it's critical and. Obviously there's pressure all around to find a way to make it work and for the NFL which is by far the biggest draw in television, the training camps are set to start and the players union has agreed tentatively to a testing procedure, but there's no agreement on whether there's going to be fans at these games, and whether the season is going to come off like it would otherwise they cancelled some of the preseason games, but whether the actual season is. Is going to happen and how that's going to look is still a big question, and for television that billions and billions of dollars in revenue in the balance, and we're already seeing several college football leagues, either pushing their seasons or cancelling them entirely, and that's going to be the next domino effect. This virus cannot get under control in the next month or two. Then you're GonNa see College. Football pretty much eliminated for the fall in my in my prediction. Some leagues will probably try to continue, but ultimately if you can't keep college players safe, then you can't have a football season so. We'll see what the NFL does, but college football is a gigantic business as well on a more frivolous note. I will just observe that Fox. Had plans in terms of the baseball game to to thin the digital crowd. If there isn't like an eight to one game, and the crowd normally would go, so at least they're keeping that part real. Wow, can they make the dodgers? Fans leave in the seventh inning. I'm sure the virtual died. Here's fans will want to get on the freeway. Justice, the real ones

The 2 Choke Points in Selling and their 3 Causes

"Hello and welcome. My name is Greg. Martinelli and this is the egg sales professional podcast. The purpose of this podcast is to make you the best salesperson or sales manager possible in agribusiness today we're talking about the to chokepoints in selling and their three causes. which part of the sales process are you stuck on well? Every manufacturing, process, service, provider or business unit has a choke point. Point. Every salesperson also has them in their selling process and a choke point is the number one limiter in process. It's the one process that one service or that one step in your selling strategy that holds up all the others. Last time we covered the topic of stress more specifically. We covered your stress. The egg sales profession who goes out on a daily basis and calls on. On livestock and crop producers today we're going to cover one critical cause of your stress, and that is the chokepoint in your selling process in a feed mill. The chokepoint is typically the pelleting and drying process of the pellets in a grain elevator. It's the speed of the dump pit, and possibly drying grain. In what year in many manufacturing process. It's the packaging line in other words. Words you can process potatoes into potato chips fairly easy, except for the last step, which is putting in a bag and putting in a box that may take maybe the choke points what slows everything else down working with sales, people in all different aspects of agribusiness I can tell you. The most common points are prospecting and closing if you look at the selling process in a linear. Linear fashion it might go something like this fine prospects on them. Ask questions present products and services close follow up complete the new customer paperwork train them on how to use the products and services coordinate future orders, and then provide ongoing support to ensure a long term relationship with your customer that might be including handling complaints and expanding the purchases with your company last mentioned the most. Most common chokepoints are prospecting enclosing have also found there are three common causes, and they are lack of knowledge, a lack of skill in a lack of value. We'll start off with the first. One lack of knowledge is the easiest remedy. oftentimes a sales person just doesn't know the steps involve or how to implement them with their customers. DISC is a great example if you're not familiar. Familiar, you should be I. Talk about it all the time I. Think it's Great. It isn't a four quadrant system or D I S C, or sometimes they use colors to depict the four quadrants typically salespeople set out in their territory and sell based on their own style. The problem is the customer doesn't want you to sell in your style. They want you to sell in their. Their style for example, if a salesperson is a data techie, Kinda person, they love to fill the presentations with data they sell on data, even if their customers hate data and technical infant, information will sales, people can remedy this with training, workshops, sales, meetings and experience to increase their knowledge and open up this chokepoint. Let's get to the next chokepoint and that is a lack of skill. This in this example, the salesperson knows what to do. They just aren't very good at it yet. And the yet is an important part of that sentence. Many salespeople fail to implement what they know they need to do. Because they're either afraid of making a mistake or they will look incompetent. Many of them worry. They will appear pushy or the worst being sales. -I, so they stick to their old ways of doing things. You need to become comfortable. Comfortable with trying new techniques to improve your skill. Let me give you an example in the sports. World Golf is a great example of a lack of skill. It's a very simple game. If you think about you, take a little club. You hit a ball down the fairway and into a Little Cup. Eighteen Times as Robin. Williams pointed out one of his comedy routines. It's not rocket science. However, it can take a lifetime to develop that skill how? How do we develop the skills? Well, certainly, when you know, have some knowledge how to hold the club and all that Kinda stuff, but most importantly we just need to get out there and golf and put it into practice and develop our skill in sales cold. Calling is a great example when it comes to the lack of skill as a sales person you know of your roles is to find call on and sell new customers, however when you. You get out there the fear of meeting someone new kicks, in and you stumble on connecting or asking good questions on the sales call the socializing part at the opening of the sales called goes well. Then you start asking a few questions related to your products and try to get down to the business of selling you get stuck on what to ask and fear upsetting the prospect, so you go back to the social discussions on weather and crop. and. Local events etcetera. You gain little to no information which would help you. Come back for your next appointment. You are now stuck in that called. Let me know if you ever need anything or any of our products, which is right next to I'm happy with what I'm doing now I'll keep you in mind zone. We all get stuck in these zones, and they are no fun. We'll the last cause for a choke point in your selling process might. Might, simply be a lack of volume, not enough prospects, not enough good prospect, not asking enough good questions, not asking enough closing style questions, not following up enough, nor fast enough and dropping the ball with a lack of good prospects is a very common limiter. I see sales people

Heat Index to Near 100°; Afternoon Rain, Thunder Likely in Washington DC Area

"Not a Storm Team four. Meteorologist Chuck Bell, Hard to imagine. This day probably qualifies a little relief, Chuck Absolutely. Every day. Saturday through yesterday, National Airport was 94 or higher. We should be a degree or two below that today, just barely, but a lot of extra clouds around should help. Hold most areas into the upper eighties and low nineties. Today. The Heat advisory for southern Maryland is from noon until eight o'clock. The D C Metro is not included in the Heat advisor today just won't meet The criteria, which is several consecutive hours with Heat index is up over 101 105 degrees. That being said the Heat index and Daisy will probably close to 100 for much of the afternoon. Hard to believe that a heat index of 100 is a break, but compared to 105 or six we'll take every little bit we could get. There will be another pie chance for some rain and thunderstorms today, not the kind of severe weather we dealt with yesterday but still a pop up thunderstorm. Not out of the question. And anytime your thunder. That means that lightning is present. Always good to get off the golf course and out of the pool and away from any local waterways. And please be cautious around it. Highs Today Low nineties up Brady's in the suburbs tomorrow another fairly cloudy day on Friday with a passing shower, not a big rain impact. Tomorrow would've pop up rain shower thunderstorm. Not out of the question on your Friday afternoon. Tomorrow's highs. Good stay below 90 degrees of national Airport. That's cool. Snap 89. Then over the weekend, we dry out and warm up again Saturday, partly to mostly sunny, 92 Lots of Sunday Sunshine High

We'll make it available for anybody who hasn't seen, and you can sign up and check it out and see some of Ryan's recommendations. rebuilt on today's conversation so. We set out the intention when we first did that interview that we wanted to do an interview for the podcast. I'm glad it happened at the first interview that I'm doing in person in the world of. Semi Corentin and social distancing so Thank you for coming into the office. It's an honor. Thanks for having me so I wanNA start off with something which is I want to talk about dance? DANCE REVOLUTION So tell US anybody who doesn't know what it is. Tell us what it is, and why he became passionate about. Yeah, so dance dance. Revolution is a video game. It's an extra game. Extra Games are things that incorporate. And Gaming And or active video games it was followed by the success of like Nintendo. We for instance that became very popular dance dance. Revolution's interesting because it was popularized when I was a kid. Probably before that I think in the eighties and nineties, and it's essentially a game where you're controller is a pad that you stand on in the middle is you're standing place? You have an Arrow pointing forward pointing backwards to left and went to the right. There's arrows coming up from the bottom of the screen, and you have this answer key at the top. Top with those different directionally facing arrows, and it's to music, and it was a Japanese video game developed by Nami, and it was super popular in Arcades at home on the playstation, two and I grew up as a very overweight sedentary kid I had a pretty severe concussion in preschool, and so that created some concussion induced adhd so I was addicted to video games, and I think I would then have met the criteria for video game addiction now, which is like it wasn't every day, but it was like four hours a day of video gaming. into early call of duty before it was like an e sports thing so if I kept on it, I could probably been pretty well right now. Playing golf duty but I actually came across the home version of dance dance revolution when I was a kid in high school, actually no middle school early middle school and I lost a lot of weight playing that in my living room and it got me into. That got me to lose weight and it was motivating had all the elements we might talk about being important for an exercise program that is sensitive to brain health. And then it got me into the gym, and when I was in high school I joined a gym across from my high school, started weightlifting, watching personal trainers, we can go into that later, but essentially kick-started my personal health, an interest in fitness, and with that fitness that is cognitively enhanced meaning that I wasn't on an exercise bike, watching the news or staring into space I was cognitively engaged in that program since then dance dance revolution has been present. Among a lot of research context and neuro rehabilitation in older adults. It's not really that accessible anymore. You can't just get it off the shelf as much as you could. Previously, but it's really paved the way for a whole industry of active video gaming extra gaming. And it has spun off also clinical or serious extra gaming games that are used for health and clinical contexts such as some of the solutions. We use it the Pacific Brain Health Center. For the listeners who are like way, why are we starting the conversation video game? This all make sense so you know in reading about your story and getting a chance to get to know you over the last year, or so as we've been introduced by our mutual friend, Dr Shawn Patel who's a regenerative medicine doctor here in Los Angeles who's been on the podcasts before linked to that. I got a chance to see how your struggle as child especially with weight fitness and being sedentary. You found something you found something that created joy inside of you, and that's actually really related to a big part of what you teach right now we'll start off with the basics and we'll talk about what brain health coaches and some of the science of it, but you found something passionate that you that got you excited to move. Move something that you enjoyed and I. think that such an important thing as simple as it sounds. This video game was the thing that got started. That was ultimately the thing that starting your journey down this pathway of understanding the power of really what exercise can do for the brain, so let's start there. Let's start off with the basics you know. We've done so many episodes on the power of exercise, but as a refresher. Tell US why exercise is so important and what it does for the brain. Yeah, and there's been an explosion of research and media coverage about this I. Like to say that the mainstream popularity around exercise. The brain was really kick started by the book spark by Dr John Radi ever grateful for the work. He's done in popularizing that and twenty eighteen, the second most popular Ted Talk. In that year was Dr Wendy Suzuki talking about exercise in the brain and a lot of mainstream coverage, and you know in New, York Times and medium covering on boosting these posts on exercising, the brain has become very popular, and that's amazing, because it's also jumping on the kind of. The coattails of neural plasticity research showing that the brain can change. I think this audience has been very well presented that information right we to our brains were fixed. We were taught in high school. They have a certain amount of brain cells. Will Never. It's all downhill from there and it turns out. That's not true exactly. Neuro plasticity, so the brain's ability to functionally or structurally change. In response to experiences,

Brandon Nakashima on being mentally tough

"All Right? Welcome to the TENNIS DOT COM podcast I'm Juanita hosts as always Nina Pantic. I am joined in this episode with Irena Falconi Irene Hi. Hey, guys. How's it going? Our special guest is Brandon Nakashima Brandon Welcome. How are you good to be here? Thank you. It's great to have you brandon. You're just eighteen turning nineteen in August. you were the ranked number four junior in the world do turn pro after just a season at Uva and your ranked number two twenty in the world already. We're excited to have you on our first and most favorite question these days is how has your quarantine life treated you? And where are you? So I'm currently right now in Sandiego, compliment backup a home with my parents. mcgruther just been. Pretty much just stay low key during this time trying to. Keep a distance from people, and and so trying to maintain some. Some good training as much as I can, and just just trying to use his opportunity as a kind of positive experience in trying to make the most of it. Once Indian wells was cancelled. The whole tour was Kinda postponed. Did you back off a little bit? Take a break from tennis or have you just been consistently training? I actually had been consistently training actually from from when India wells was canceled them. In training actually the past couple months back at home here pretty much every day, so engaged some good fitness sessions in, so it's actually really beneficial for my game during this time. Making the most out of it, this is a good approach, so who you're working with I. Know that you were with pat cash. You added him to your team. You also had both trays as your fulltime coach. Is that still your setup today? no I've actually stopped working Bo actually. After the wells was canceled couple of weeks after we we decided to part ways low bit and I've kind of been working or last couple months with pat cash like he said. He's been you've been really beneficial for my game and teaching me some. So good stuff on the court, so it's it's been great so far also. So, Pat Cash, we actually had him on the podcast a little bit ago, and he told us you know what a joy it's been to be working with you and you're such a hard worker and everything so now let's get your side of the story. "Yeah, and they would stay down on the ground for a while, and you just feel awful Mike. When something like something like that happens because sometimes, it's just. Unavoidable and I think for what happened. Tanaka was unavoidable. I mean you know Stanton's trying to do what he's trying to do? You know and it's unfortunate, but now he took a knee and I'm like man. This guy if Tanaka doesn't get up man. This guy's never gonna be able to play again. I don't think. Yeah I mean it was that scary and to see him walk off and then be released from the hospital very quickly, and then it ended up being a mild concussion. It's. Could ended his career I mean it's just unbelievable to think that what has gone on, and then you get this simulated game and it's Giancarlo Stanton and you're dealing with the covid nineteen through all of this, and this happens and also stains history with getting pitch in the face, and of course breaking his face in a very famous fashion, I was a huge deal with him. And Mike Fires and something. You still hasn't gotten over. And how could you going? That is a layer. Layer of this as well, but I mean thank God I mean you. You never know what something like that it could end up and not being over the top, but it could end up being deadly something like that could end up being deadly and ended up in bed. The best case scenario possibly could have what they screaming line drive. Offer your head in a direct hit. I was just awful. And then you know you obviously have Louis Sessa and DJ LEMAY COMING DOWN Cove one, thousand, nine, hundred, and Dj is a symptomatic and Sesa- obviously has some mild symptoms, so you know they're isolated, and then, of course you have the story, Freddy Freeman, and it just goes to show you alcove in nineteen is it hits different people differently and. There's a spike in cases. All across the country heard you jerry talking about this morning. A lot of them are young people that are now being. Infected with this virus, a lot of the young people coming through it. There's no question about that, but it's still a dangerous game. That is being played and whether there are cove, nineteen parties in Tuscaloosa or in the pines or anywhere else. You know people were playing with fire now the other thing that came out over the weekend. I don't know if you saw this and I know. We're going to get into the name changes and all that other stuff, but the NFL players association now starting to flex its muscles and I do appreciate it. It's something that in one thousand, nine, hundred seven. If the players could have been together back then the way they are now the difference that could have been made. For the players, safety and health, and for their financial futures back then would have been significantly bigger than they than they were that they've turned out to be now. Believe it or not, but JC shredder the president. The player President of the NFL Players Association basically is recommending no preseason games. They do not want practice eleven on eleven. The the League looks like they're going to extend the rosters in the practice squad. And now all of a sudden for the first time. You know a guy like Mark Murphy. WHO's the President CEO and WHO's obviously former player himself for the packers came out and said look man. Time is no longer on our side. As a matter of fact, our season is about to get started much like baseball basketball much like hockey with major spikes happening. With covid, nineteen throughout the country, and you just have no idea how the individual governors are going to handle their in their particular states, and what their situations are. So, this is going to have you know and. Not even talking about but college football. Looks like it's going to move to the spring right now. All of a sudden. Yeah for the longest time football was on the back burner, because we were dealing with seasons that been cut short, and how they were going to finish them with hockey and basketball and a season that was just about to start in baseball, and when it was going to start in football was in the distant future, and we figured I things will be figured out by then but I mean the time is now for them to figure out what's going on in. The NFL was very easily could do everything they. They wanted to do. They did the virtual draft that worked out. Great Schedule Release I mean everything which is going on and on the free agency. Everything was just just plowing through everything and everything was great well. It can't be fortunately right now. This is not under control. We're continuing to live through it. in New York. We're better than we've ever been. But the rest of the country it's the exact opposite and now football's jeopardy as well I mean to think that the football season's just gonNA start. On time, it seems impossible, doesn't it? I mean even feel the same way about the NBA Major League baseball like I. Don't know if those things are still going to happen. Even though there's been agreements in place and there's been schedules and there's been everything else I. Mean I I have no idea because every day. Things change so so yeah. I mean football's in jeopardy and it's the one that I guess. Makes me the most upset quite frankly because it's my favorite sport and I always thought that by the time that we reached here and talking about training camps in preseason games in the NFL season that we would be in a much better place. Unfortunately we're not and it just it. Just flat out is very very discouraging these conversations starting to happen, but it's the reality while the also the NFL PA wants less players. Oddly, enough. For training camps, they want a maximum of eighty players. You could bring less than that if you'd like if you're a team. You know that that's just the maximum amount of players you can have as opposed to ninety players, which is was the maximum coming into this year. Go the other thing that happened. The NFL canceled their supplemental draft. In the reason why that's important is because there is no college football. The NFL DIDN'T WANNA. Get embroiled in a college supplemental draft right now because there are some very attractive players..

"Really Talk About for the most part. We're just talking about from the gallery. So William yet bumped right there. But YOU'RE NOT GONNA get bumped forever will be back to you. Riley says I play a lot of really bad public courses where I live was wondering. Would you guys rather play course where the Greens are horrible? the fairway and rough and everything else Are are great or the other way are where the rough the tees fairways are really bad shape but the Greens are phenomenal. They're like Augusta Level Augusta level grades. I mean anything else like you can roll it over. You can play from wherever the Greens are pure. Though it's I think it's the best part of the golf course Opposite I think that after I just think the tee boxes and fairways the aesthetic of the Golf Course. I think when you set up there. It's like that's what separates the boys from the men when it comes to golf course architecture. If you have real nice placed tee boxes it just makes the golf course so much better if you have nicely trimmed fairways just like that's what you're experiencing more of the golf course on your on the green for a couple couple minutes a hole fairway. Yeah but like it goes quicker. And you're traveling more rain on the fairway and Tee Boxes. You're going across the golf course. And that's all shit and bumpy and and and torn up and dry. This place sucks by the time you get to the Green. This golf courses horrendous. I don't care what the green looks like and even more. So that means that you're hitting off of fucking Shitty Fairways and Russ and then you're putting immaculate hard running. Greens like Augusta National. A sounds like a nightmare to play on. I'd rather hit on luscious. Fairways gutsy greenback bouncing around. But at least like whenever I pick it up if it's like a foot or two out like I was going to say when you say like when a when a green gets nicer gets harder it gets like it's I. I would hate to play shitty looking golf course. It's what I say and then get up there and it's just lightning so I would like all true like that's I think. That's the coolest part about playing those immaculate courses in those grains. Is that if you ever get it on the right line with the right speed rolls perfectly? Which I think is amazed. Yeah it'd be a green guy. I just think I don't know I think a lot of times like you. Come off a golf course. And if the Greens were like perfect and gorgeous and like Runnin then you can always have a great match and play like because it comes down to like big putts people have big three four five six footers that like it's not gonna be like hit it and hope it's not going to be. Blanco where you hope it like bounces in. It's like you have these perfect. Smooths great lowering the Great Rolling Greens. And you remember the round by that like even. I think you'll hand said like we. I think the first time we had him talking with him and he was like you know thought he part about building off. Course you could build the most interesting unique golf course from an architecture design standpoint and if like the actual course doesn't like upkeep it and put in great shape it has like Shitty Condition Greens or whatever the GOPHERS GONNA walk off. It wasn't that great and he goes. You could have the most boring course in the world architecturally but if guys come off and the Greens were in phenomenal shape. People be. That was awesome because like that's kind of what golfers tend to remember And obviously everybody's different. It would be really fucking weird to play of course where his like Muddy Shit Dirt Shit draft all over the Greens are just immaculate of it. Really Bizarre But I be agreed guy thank round comes out of the Greens every time they only had enough money to make the Greens pristine and everything else is. Just a nightmare. They would stick out so much. All Right I. I think we're done here. I don't know that we need to talk. No Man we'll see. Hopefully everyone survives. I mean it's like stay healthy. This is fucking crazy man. It's not as wash your hands a ton did you. Guys get washed has getting like delivery right trade getting delivery all time. I can't try to like I 'cause I mean we don't have it too. We have a lot of food here. We've got a lot of groceries but also like I was thinking about it every time I order food and I like ordering food better because the food is better like here. We have chicken nuggets and frozen pizzas but also every time I order a meal here it gives us one more meal from the kitchen and Shit really hits the fan then that will be probably for the best like. I don't know how bad it's going to get. Are you like making contact? Live the delivery driver. How are you receiving the package? They drop it off in the lobby and they leave and I go down and get. That's how it is see where I use. Spray it with anything gloves. No on both of those so I just think like. If you're getting delivery you're just bringing one more cog they could potentially have krona to your meal so I'm not. I would do when I would do is. I would like to take the gloves. Take the bag and knowing just like an while. We'RE IN THE GLOWS. Get a dish and just dump all the food onto like when you're clean dishes and toss at bag away. Don't let that thing. Don't touch with your hand because then if you're touching the bag touch and even the tin foil like rallies were making sure. Everyone's wearing gloves like as we package it because like you don't know how long stop that's what I was thinking. What your t shirt sales. Actually if you're just plug the t shirts before someone buys one you put something in the washing machine you guys. Yeah and then get a right out to all. You have to be wearing gloves right now like I was up rallies identity like I was so happy to see that everyone was because obviously the workers want to stay healthy to like really. You'RE DEALING WITH MONEY AND CREDIT CARDS. So it's like that's why. I said I think the world is going to change not that like we haven't always been cleaned but you really see like everyone's like. Oh my God like that's touching this like. Make sure 'cause you don't WanNa Know WanNa get sick especially from like play so If you're in if you're in the county area Nassau County Long Island order from Borelli's we're open seven days a week. I'll probably be delivering most of the date especially on the weekends. I'll probably have back behind something question for you. Are you continue into order new supplies as well or are you just trying to sell all the fresh stuff that you have? No it's like the supply places are open to my dad every day. Honestly like it actually scares me because like my dad can't quarantine himself can't stop. You just can't like you can't stay there so but he claims that like you know if he's moving around he's not touching people he's not near anyone they have good systems at these places like restaurant depot. Where like they're only letting a certain amount of people in all those workers. There are like making sure that they're safe and everyone's using gloves. It's just like a super safe and like everyone's being conscious of this and it seems like that's going to be the protocol for the next like half a year avalon's going to go on but yeah fresh and coming in it's funny like a lot like Devante or or too big meal and like I delivered it to him the other day he actually had gave me he like had a stick waiting for me as a temp signed put it up rallies. I was like he's just like the ultimate nice guy all on devante. It was funny when I went to deliver to them. Like it was like over the it was like over the balcony like instead of like going into like his apartment building where he stay where he's at right now by the costume Just so funny like how different this is. I was like looking at him like across the hedges. Like leaning over and went like this is such a weird world right now that we can't even be like I can't say what up But yeah so yeah order. Borelli's I'll be there. Dm Me if you WANNA put any orders in people have been ordering shirts which is a good thing. People which is like people are out of town. They've been ordering t shirts which is actually cool because I teach are actually sick agrees. You wear it all the time all the time. I love sure. It's it's a cool thing to have to like your. It's like small enough but big enough. You know what I mean like. It's like it's cool. It's unique not a lot of people have them but Nick Faldo has he wears anytime. He Cooks Pasta with his with his girl. Well shout out to all the people that are struggling right now. We'll get through it. The world will end up being a better place like small businesses like I feel like people nowadays especially our age. We seamless everything from like the biggest name places like Buffalo Wild Wings and all these corp places that were always like doing corporate stuff in like our generation definitely goes away from small business. I feel like or maybe not or maybe even like the ones Like everything's all name brand now so it's like I feel like this new movements like making people see like Oh shit like yeah we should go pick up like a pizza from the place down the block or like instead of ordering from like like McDonalds. Where like going to get a burger from Burger City on Hamster turnpike right here. And he's like it's just different. I just feel like it's a different mindset so I think if everyone gets through it it'll be it'll be better shout everybody Working hard working through this everybody trying to stay safe do their parts And we're trying to do our part so we'll be back on Wednesday. We'll be back on Thursday. We'll record our Wednesday and we're trying to get some guests. We're going to have some pretty cool guests and try to talk our way through this thing so everybody have a good week. Be SMART BE SAFE. Keep Yourself Sane and Hit it hit it. Hard are headed chance..

"You also can't play golf with Tiger Woods. You also can't have a catch with Babe Ruth you also can't catch football from Joe Montana like these are things that like. No one in the world can do. These are like mythical great. You know what I mean like. You can't just play Augusta either. I mean like your point of we flew around the world to see Tiger Woods like yeah I would fly around the world to play gusts you know like I think that I think transplants Interesting one but make sense for him. He's a storyline guy. So He's thinking like better would just be like an epic thing that everybody headline Guy Woods is coming to play with a twenty four most important or most famous in Iowa the Cedar rapids. Gazette would be all over. This is happening ten yeah. I think he's from K. C. R. G. would be out there. It'd be crazy you know. Yeah I think Frankie's point is like sumptious based on like at the local news station you're gonNA have a bond with them etc. I think it's without question playing with your buddies. I think that'd be the best thing in the world for you and three bodies to have a teatime GUSTA. Just be putting around the greenwood like cocktail. Talk near Cabbie pre around. I could imagine with fun Albion. Certainly be sick. I'm getting excited talking about it. And then some aside come right now feels like when you wake up from an awesome dream and realize it's not real. Imagine your buddies be if they found out they had the option? And Frankie and I were like We're going to play with Tiger Woods. Not Take you to Augusta befogged man. It'd be I think you respect. I mean like I mean. It's not like terrible. Oh Yeah I would sorry not view thirty six anti gap. Just remember every damn. We used to play the game tiger woods on your computer. I'M GONNA go play Tiger Woods right now in real so launching. Go sit home like have a baby on your couch. Have you seen this picture of the lady having a baby on her couch? Oh my gosh number. Five in quarantine had a baby on my couch and boy. Did she have a baby on her couch? I haven't seen it. I don't like that I've seen some crazy shit online up. Now that we've been doing this quarantine thing and bore. Only we're not even into double digits in terms of days. It's only gonNA get weirder big time. About what your guests on months months. That were doing this. I think some things start to come back. I think that Well maybe it's just unbiased and then like hopeful but I think like you're able to go get like I think restaurants and local businesses will be able to at least go back to work like. I think you have to be able to do that at some point in a month. I think large gatherings concerts sports venues all those things. I don't think they come back four months five months. How can they how can you? How can how can in like two weeks in like four weeks? All right yeah. We're all going to the game sitting right next to each other. Just like why. Sixteen thousand people packing into an arena. Or like Oh. We're going to a Tim McGraw Kaiser Nashville for Hundred Thousand People sitting in a football stadium. You can't just you can't have it. Did I say June on the last podcasts? That things were gonNA come back again. I might have said June. That was wrong based on how things continue to escalate. June was flat out rock Yeah I don't know I think I said August yeah. I don't I like the over on August two. I would say like okay. Let me just you know we work at Barstool. Obviously a lot of Shit goes down in the office. That's where we need to be continental time. Whatever when do you think are I like official? Everyone's back in the office days pulling up a calendar not it's march twenty third as we're recording. My gas is like my guess is like June. I was going to say the May eleventh the third week. I don't know just like the third week that gives us one two one two three four five six seven eight nine ten eleven about twelve weeks that about twelve weeks. You don't think we're going to be back in the office and twelve weeks. You think there's going to be twelve more of these Mondays or I'm sitting on this chair talk do i. Couldn't I can't tell you how stunned I was last night. Sunday night and I was just like tomorrow's just Monday and it's the same thing again like we just started. That's the only thing that scares me. This just started. Things are just like us. Just shut down today. Massachusetts like like a lot of their things like shutdown was like trending. I'M GONNA say Fuck Man I'm GonNA say June fifteenth. Oh man that is deep That I see is the right and the thing isn't just nobody knows nobody has any teen weeks. Zach doing that right. Oh Man. That's an eternity. I'm GONNA buy now. I'm GONNA go crazy. I'm GonNa legitimately going say the small business thing though. I mean it's crazy like I feel. Frankly I commend you. You know I think what you're doing for you your pops. The story is awesome. It's awesome that like you got into this BARSTOOL WORLD COW. Life comes full circle. Potentially now you can help out your. I think that's so cool. I love like fun along love. I could supported you. Deliver pizzas down in South Carolina by one. But I just feel I mean the world is just so damn different without that rallies. That's four towns over you know can't survive like their just struggle struggle. I mean I just think of all those people are also like corona is gonNA just disappear even if we're back in like two or three months going about business like they still are not going to be all allow like you were just saying frank your or whoever like massive massive gatherings of like thousands of people for like potentially years like coronas not going anywhere. It's GonNa still be just. It's just going to be there like it's always gonna be there horrifying Because even like the other the other night I was like sitting in the kitchen I was just like oh we had a pretty good weekend like a lot of people called in a couple of big orders like Brock Nelson putting like a five hundred dollar order like people really like doing good stuff and he's like yeah it's great it's just like how long can we like string this out. It's like you can only lasts along always like I mean the taxes here insane like you just paid by coastal hundred grand from you know from utilities an awesome. It's like money's just for small businesses. They have these huge backings of corporate companies so like literally work day by day or else they'd be able to take vacations and go out like when you have a mom and pop shop. You work every day because you have to so when you take that business away even for a week. Think about the bars that came serve food. They're literally just closed and they still have to pay rent sell to do all that stuff. So it's crazy wild time. It's just a wild time. We'll continue with from the gallery. Casey says If each of you could be all deciding golf commissioner for a season where would you play the? Us Open the open the PGA Championship and the Ryder. Cup Can Plug my phone. The breaker we continue all knowing all knowing PG or all-knowing golf all decision maker century. Where would you put the three the four biggest events in golf because he took obviously took the masters out? Because we know where that's at so Ryder Cup. Pga Open Jimmy chip in the US. Open to kind of look at those like basically. What's your ideal lineup? If you could just as an quarantine world. I don't know that's a good question because then I think it goes back to our conversation the other day where it was like you go to. Bandon like places that really can't get. Maybe you do WanNa bay on like something crazy like that. That's I would love to see these pros. Tear up these courses that we love to look at on instagram. They're never allowed to go. Somebody made a great point about We didn't say Pine Valley for PJ door event. I thought about that if they played it at Pine Valley. 'cause I mean that track that's always right number one. Nobody knows why because we never see it. We don't really know through zooms Ogdensburg. Yeah so we kind of blew it. We dropped the ball on that one in terms of us. Open So. I mean it's really like what's your favorite venue for each of the each of the tournaments show but I mean I'm going to say Saint Andrews probably most people are For the US Open. Yes opens tough. I. I'm trying to think about which Like which course pebble beach is clearly the most iconic for all. Us Open courses But I think like wing foot where it's supposed to be this year which is currently like five minutes away from. I think an area of the country that's under like National Guard because Covert nineteenth so bad there but Wing foot is like the massacre and it always beats the shit out of people last either's. Us Open their geoff. Ogilvy wanted five-over-par when Phil Double The seventy second hole. So of course just beats the shit out of these guys every single time so I probably have to go Wing Foot and then for PJ I think Kiawah Keough. It's really awesome. And then for Ryder Cup Ryder Cup. They kind of go all over the place. So it's kind of pick your flavor like I think it'd be really cool to see them do it one of the courses we've been talking about doing a PGA tour event at which would be like if they did it abandoned or if they did it at like One of those types of places like San Valley or or whatever I think that'd be really cool and then my other other open choice would be Pinehurst which I think is going to start getting a ton more. They'RE GONNA start coming to Pinehurst like every five years Which I think anytime they can go to like a public course like that. It's really cool. So those are Cata choice say. Saint Andrews is a no brainer and then for me. It's Beth paid. I would love every year bethpage just like the tent. Stay up your your around. Know it's the. Us Open venue. They just come back every year. And that's where it is and people and the rough keeps getting thicker and the and the course keeps getting longer and people and fifteen keeps getting higher and it's just like it's the most daunting golf. Course they play each year. It's like a Kisner never showed Kisner start showing up the first two years and then stop showing up after that. 'cause like five hundred yards and they just can't keep up anymore. I would love the fifteenth grade after five. Years is legit like one hundred feet in the air. Nobody taking like a Ski. Lift up to the top pages a great call. I fucking output data place of probably the PJ I would make the PGA bethpage..

"golfing" Discussed on Fore Play

"You're ready for the shot and then phone just falls over and you're like well I don't record it and they're gonNA think I'm lying so I gotTa go record it so you know it is what it is. Whatever people got it worse than I do? Do I will say this. You really learn like I've learned that my favorite part about golf is like playing with my friends and like boys. You hit it. Should he shot? It doesn't matter because you're like somebody will bring it out of it or they'll crack a joke and like whatever you have to drink and all this that so like as much as like it's clearly better than being ordained alone in your apartment and it is not the same. It's very much like a halfway through their out of my like this is kind of like weird just like a low accepted. Play with the old couple spot. Can you know Ralph it as Weipa jump up? The last nine nine rounds. Istat raised in a bunker somewhere. He's on a plane with everyone kidding me but then there's no way Ralph's alive right now. He was just way too Willy Nilly so I played. I played the other day with my buddy down here and We had a great time. We actually just played yesterday. But what's GonNa get exciting to me now that I've thought about it because like you said bunker so the removing all the rates and potentially taking the the flagpoles out and if they take the flagpoles out playing golf and Plana par-three could be the most exciting thing in the world? Because now you'll just hit a ball at the green and usually you know right out of the day but you're not getting a hall of one but if you hit any part of a green you're just waiting for that ball to potential to go berserk. You gotTA watch it for every second. Wow Dude that happen at a Barstool. Classic in fucking granite links we. We had a three hour delay because of the rain. We're and so. We finished up late at seven o'clock. Whatever I guess like a shotgun start. Some groups finishes like six hours from groups. Finished four and a half. I guess a couple of groups that finished really late. The Superintendent like didn't give a fuck that was a golf tournament and he just finished up his job to go home and took all the flags sticks out so people come in that were like hey like we played the last two holes and like there are no flags. Dixon the green and it was dark so we just hit it at a flag list green and outside got screwed really on let it but I saw bethpage just keeping like two or three courses open frankie. And they're doing this the whole. Don't touch fans no rakes. Took all the ball washers out whatnot. So yeah I actually play. Cherry Valley The other day there was a couple of people out there You know the no carts situation I was a couple of people But it was weird. Plan SOCIAL DISTANCING. Like no just like real weird like we all showed up to. I T and it was just like no one like look at each other. Really all smirking. It was like just like what we do here. Like how do we? How do we do this? I got a question for everybody. Maybe this guy misspoke so we showed up. We played this place tunes West. It's actually sweet. You drive down. It feels like Magnolia Lane. It was outrageous. It looks read the interest. Look Sweet I was the one instagram story. I thought he did a really good job. So anyways we're taking the carts out to the first toll and the guy's giving us the spiel the whole thing and he looks at us and he goes remember guys. Today's fairways only for the cards. Now I've never heard that before. Fairways all what do you want me doing. Donuts in the fairways that put me into A. Oh I've seen that before I've seen for actually does that. Yeah I I got like yelled at by someone wants 'cause then went into the rough. I guess we're trying to preserve like the thick washes rough. I guess the car the car beats down the rough more than the fairway fairways really really tight anyway. So typically they prefer you to drive down in the rough make sense. I guess you gotta get still mccart path through the rough to the US. There's for sure that little area to talk about so what they had. The cups raised on the funniest just like scenarios like I'm a really bad butter. I can get the ball off the tee. When I'm not topping into water at Palmetto I can hit my irons decent. My wedges are nightmare first of all a Cherry Valley Bar Classic when that's there It's like two hundred eighty yard par four and Mike you go either driver at the green or you take five. Are and then a wedge. It should be a real easy hall five times now that I've played the front the first all I've gone. Perfect iron right down the middle and then wedge over these bushes onto the road like like you're nervous about hitting it onto the and I'm going to play it safe. I'll play up to the left so I hit a five iron right in the middle of a frankie got like seventy five yards. I take a wedge out Bladet and there's trees behind. The green just goes over into someone's dry into someone's driveway nightmare so this time. I try not to do that chunk that went over. It's just a nightmare purcell but so I did. All that in the first old chocolate went over went over and then I'm like wait off the green and I'm putting for five and I just drill this thing towards the pin and it just smacks the pen and comes all the way back doors and then. I'm like the guys play where the hype is is insane. That's an eight. That's an eight nine among because that ball's going off the back of the green into a bunker you're blaming it out of the bunker you're hitting seven off the green and instead you're walking away tied on one. Bogie right out of my putter and my boat. I walked in to remember the other day. I said that you with these with these new rules and it just completely takes away the break. I hit this thing. Two hundred miles an hour at the it came back to me like no way so the question was. How many strokes do you think that that saves you? Because there's been a couple times in that route. I actually played really well like the four guys that play with Not going to name names because like some of them are supposed to be inside. Whatever I didn't want to promote it we had a seventy six seventy six seventy five and I shot an eighty Mr pod on eighteen. Yeah we were just playing real good golf driver fair way up by the green on on the green and then with this new party system. It's like I felt real competences jamming these balls at the fucking pins like you know four foot. Putt you're just like let's go for the back of the cup here so there was a couple times over like you have maybe a fifteen foot. Putt and someone would hit a PUTT. And it would just kiss the outside and I'm like well now. There's no way that was going in absolutely would have just like either went totally sideways or just like rimmed out the edge so we were trying to figure out. How many strokes do you gain like? I said price six like I probably shot in eighty six eighty seven that day and I gained six or seven strokes by being able to hit a two and a half. Yeah one injuries cup. I was GONNA say three aside like one every three holes you know so yeah right around six six around. Yeah they're doing at Pinehurst they've got the PVC pipe that sly like that. Yeah so your ball just stays like an inch apart of its above the surface of the cup and you just can pew it out real quick so it was pretty easy But you know seen a lot of places trying to regain their practices and whatnot. I like it though man. I thought I thought it was fun. Even like chipping gave you like a target to like go after like and we kept saying all day. Just Gimme a piece. I just need a piece. So it'd be like I'd be thirty five yards away like behind a bunker and being like just just let me get a piece this thing. Just just grace his fucking pin and. I'm walking around with a three here. If you're like US folks you are probably trying to get in as much time as possible. It's a great activity right now as long as you're safe as long as you're smart you take a couple precautions. You'll be good to go one thing you definitely don't want to be dealing with while you're out there on the green is a spam call. Lucky for you there's a solution to the growing spam called problem. It's called rogue killer. Robot killer is the APP that stop spam calls for good they over one point. Two million spam phone numbers on their blacklist adding more scammers by the minutes in the month of February low. Robo killer blocked over seventeen million spam calls good for them. That's great heroic work. I recently downloaded the roble killer APP on my phone. We all did. Actually we love it. It's pretty impressive. My phone doesn't make people call gets blocked. They have their prerecord little troll bots that mess with spam callers for you which are hilarious. We Love them personal favorites They're spam finding assistance area. Fifty one snake bites you name. It they come up with it and again they troll the stamp callers which is Great. Because we don't like spam callers if you're trying to get A good.

"Yeah he doubled it three out of the way. They played the playoff so three of the five times he played. He'd double bogey. which is six on one Justin thirty three times? Okay and then he four putts. That was that that was Saturday or Friday. So yeah it's just like it sets you back. You had a great day solid day. Thursday starts up on Friday and all of a sudden. It's like right back to you taken away all these strokes just by putting four putting he looked like lurch in his four point was one of the most disgusting things I've ever seen it was. It really didn't even come close on the I know and then the second intent was the worst. I've ever seen a quarter percent blew up by ten feet. Blame it on the poem. It's like dude you just is missed the whole and had no speed and no angle whatsoever but aside from like you said a little. Ross in putting I thought he looked really good. I thought that it was very promising for the tournament coming up. I think that he's still in like that. Compete level where there was a certain times where he had to turn it on. Hit really good drives. There was some hard tee shots where you know you couldn't go left into the water. Whatever he just ripped absolute bombs with his SIM driver? where it was just like didn't even matter what was on the left of the right? He was hitting good shots out of the thick rough. That rough out there is insane. He was playing smart. I thought like I thought even yesterday I thought there was a chance that he was going to make a run. Leeann caught fire at one point but there was one point. Tigers Tiger was on like eight or seven and he was four or three backgrounds. Like okay because everybody making Eagle Tigers in the mix because Rahm was melting down. Everybody up top was kind of it was kind of fallen back but yeah Lebron caught. Fire knows what's funny is when under onsite yours for you when you're looking at the odds last show. Oh before it started. I was talking about speed and tiger and Lee. Sherman popped up on my screen where I think he was like way down there maybe just around. What S- pizzas were like? I think it was like forty two one or something like that. I remember thinking in my head like we kind of like were nervous about this guy at the Presidents Cup like they put him up against tiger like the guys kind of like a stone cold killer when he gets hot. He's good. I actually remember reading his name on the on the odds less being like Leash Minh is like playing phenomenal Golfer. Now why don't we throw some dollars on him and he talking. I remember saying that to myself in my head being like Lebron's a good pick and I didn't get into it. No not a dollar Lurch Lurch and I had lunch right next to Lieshan and Melbourne. We shared it. What the fuck? Yeah he just sat down with his wife Yea Hotel. We've now been like a couple of months removed from or like a month and a half removed from Australia. We were there together and you never once mentioned that so I said well I think we did really yeah. I don't like the hotel hell lobby and there was a nice little rest remember. We saw so many people Webb Simpson walked by Ricky walked by. It was just a ton of people. Policeman was right there yet. Leashes like sneaky. He's the second highest rank Australian in the world behind Adam Scott. He's ahead of Jason Day. An Cameron Smith. He's pretty much looking really good for in Olympic spot for Australia. Australia's obviously they got some serious golf down there so leashes no joke. He's obviously a pretty understated personality. A very laid back and all that so he's not necessarily GONNA get the flash of even like an atom Scott or Jason Day or whatever but leash is no joke he makes it look very easy. He's almost got kind of a of Ernie. Els Type vibe to them. I feel like like the big easy where he's kind of cool calm collected doesn't look like he's swinging swing that hard yet he's a fucking force out there a minutes to be To be reckoned with and once he got it going it was pretty clear. I think thank really on the front nine that leash. It's probably GonNa win this thing because Rahm was a combusting internally combusting you had rory was like Dohuk and shots out the plane stuff. I don't know what was going on with him in the front nine and it looked like Lee she was going to be the most in control. Tiger had pretty much too much real estate to make up too many guys in between them but but I do agree like Thursday morning or Thursday on the first half of the round. It looked like tiger. Who's going to put together a very methodical? Like eight or nine hundred par sixty three or something like that and all of a sudden vaulted into the lead and win at Torrey Pines like he's done eight frigging times before and then even again on Sunday. I mean that second shot on on number two was probably the most like I jumped out of my seat. I was sitting there watching I literally when the ball jumped out of the all jumped off my chair. The exact exact same manner like what what almost I wanted to yell at the BJ door like no that out. So that if the puck goes in the back of the net and comes out. That's a goal like that all was in the fucking like what was that one in a billion chance doesn't stay in the hall. We've I mean we've been watching well forever. We've been playing golf for most of our lives. Never never not once. Have I seen that happen. Thinking about how hard it is to make that shot and if you wanted to rip replicate that exact shot were literally you hit a wedge perfect rips right back into the hall and then continues to come out of the whole I mean that's an impossible off shop that's better than making it. It is better than making it. He was one hundred forty one yards away when absolute drain on in the center of the Cup and just didn't count. It was the most perfect gull shot. I've ever seen two balances. The second was so soft but it checked when I checked it was underground in the whole when the ball check like you literally can't do better than that. That is the most perfect golf. And it just didn't count like I. I don't spend it away from the whole I was like this whole just legit shot his ball out of the ground out where you know. You're not we're going to win. I knew it wasn't GonNa win. You can't win Jon Rahm when he was on the third hole and he went like laughed after everyone was like ooh. And then he hacks that one out of like that brush barely gets early gets up. The crowd again goes oh and then he walks up. There hasn't little little chip shot. That was like no problem and Duff's the chip. I swear when the crowd then went. Oh I thought that he was gonNA look around and just catapult his paws off the ledge like off the cliff. I really thought I'm like Oh. My God these are going to get I. That would infuriate me. Just like all all these people like when you're on your lowest. Oh each duffed Shah Louder and louder like Oh like the whole crowd's like he'd ended again Dan and he's like you mother fuckers. I will take you all out. One by looking at the first person season just lost his wedge right since he was tied for the lead at the time and like that just dropped opt to back to leash militiamen sitting there like having like an okay hall like watching him. Just implode Jonah camera guys know it to win Rahm uh when he hits like a flood shit shot anybody else. That does that they keep it on the guy for like two or three seconds and then they pan. They're like here's worry on four when Rahm does that thanks. Zoom fucking hairs inside of his note. A zoom right in on space and it's just John is about to lose his mind it's much watch. TV Frank. He's he's got he's got a video pulled up posit right the right time Reggie makes double on number. Three and calm is anything moment. He is capable of any my brother brother. My brother is a big fan of the Jon. Rahm lakes saga of him being a psychopath and so when my brother text me like some going on here I know that Jon Rahm is about ready to go full hulk on the on the gallery and he looks like he's on that thing with Frankish Holy Shit. I never cut it together. Like he looked like he wanted to murder someone but I didn't see him like I didn't see him. Punches caddy in the face or like Roh Putter at his golf bag or whatever and then he ended up making a bunch of birdies almost had a chance to win tournament so he kind of held it together. It's like he was close. It was like A. There's one tiny thread keeping him together. And it could have gone really south or rebounded rebounded and ended up having a decent show and Kinda remounted so might be a little bit something to that but that was kind of US watch TV. When Ron was losing it rory to again with like the weird start where they were like the final group six over combined six over par three holes? I think they were so it was bizarre. "You know but you try to get some love for that. I looked at trump. He didn't give me I was. I was definitely in usually he colleague Apps you when he thinks a good one but yeah I think it's always playing better because I don't know I there is a certain beauty and easiness to like when you're hitting it pretty well and you go to a new course and you're playing like you're playing partner or caddy Addi. If you have one or something like yeah just hit it right on the left edge of that bunker and you don't have any idea what's up there. You step up again. No problem hit on that line or roughly versus if it is of course that you know when you know there's all kinds of shit up there. You'll be well yeah but like I can't go here here here. That's how I felt with hanky-panky Aaron Hill Right. He's like just hit their hit. It over there do this do that. This was like okay cool and playing well. "The only reason I really WanNa shot him out Trent. Daddy and I went a couple years ago. This is like the first real thing that we covered all flies together. Yeah we went to the world on drive. This was before the podcast. It's like two or three months before the podcast. We are in Thacker Ville Oklahoma. It feels like a million years ago. Kinda was about two years ago Vacaville Oklahoma a home of the largest casino claimed largest. She and I will say it was sprawling. We walked around there was it was your slot machines. The whole for was also you walked like thirty football field. There's just a slot machines everywhere but we went. We went a couple of years ago. Couple great moments in that video of you want to go back and watch one is where the British guy that went in the whole thing so we had this funny little bit where we we held up we just google the British flag flag and then we just turned. It sideways held up on her phone next to him. Try to add a little pageantry to the interview and transformed is turned off back when it was like fifteen seconds and like if you're not I'm gonNA touch this thing. I'm just going to turn off just did that. I'm just standing there. Video treasures standing there holding on display. Yours looks great great. It's like Oh. This must be British guy. I just looked like I'm holding like I'm asking someone to be like. My phone is broken. Can you help me another all time moment from that which circulated on twitter last week was Trent steps up to the long drive you know into the stadium on the T. and hits one and just throws his driver. Yeah they gave us kind of like they said like do whatever you want after it was over and we were hanging out with a couple of the long drivers and he one guy gave me his club and he's like you. GotTa go nuts after you do it uh-huh house like what do you mean. Crazies like you can even throw my club if you owe us like I'm going to do that so I just hit it and it is. It's very funny video. I remember in the moment after it happened. We watched it back. We were still out there on the long drive stage and we were just crying is so funny. It's weird to say that about myself but legitimately intimately is so fun. It was just one of those things where we we got tears laughing. I mean you just couldn't stop laughing and we kept watching fifteen minutes. We just sat on that fucking T in tears watching watching Trent throws driver and when that recirculated last week on twitter again I just I texted tramp. I can't focus stop laughing at you. Throw your driver's dressed in his full tiger gears Yep. He's got black pants. The red like Nike fucking die your sweater on and the Black Knight and he just he swings and he hits good I t trip and then he just throws his driver ever afterwards and it's an awesome. That was a tough weekend for tiger. I think I think we flew down there or I took a bus. I took it Dallas. Look I forgot about that was supposed to be part part of the bet. He's watching the video right now. Glow up for you to Oh yeah yeah and we looked at rice since then we look very different than fats fatter and shittier ladder and like I didn't know what was going on really didn't have any facial hair now. I didn't have any facial hair God. You guys look so much different than we do. That was I mean he looked like legitimately so much much better right now and I know that's a nice way of saying. You guys looked fucking horrible in this video we did. We'll pair of what you look like now fantastic. I appreciate that. Oh you're all the the other way around. You know you guys are horrific in this picture that video I mean I'm not GonNa get any more It's very nice. I'm glad guy recirculated because some people who hadn't seen it. Maybe they got a foreplay later. Glow up yeah yeah they do. You guys look way better and it's a pretty funny video actually came out Christmas tired of you. Throw the club it was on twitter or the guy hit your fucking mouth. Oh yeah that's right yeah and I can what a wild boy. Were getting balls it out of your mouth and your ass. Ah Page Verani any moment that you think you're going to die. When this guy that one I did down your age who can hit the ball literally probably further anyone in the world and he's just hitting it out of my mouth that was that was a scary one just came across short of trump there that does not look they look so there's me on my trip into show me. I'm pounded under rumble means on a bus. I can't believe you bust their. What a mistake Ala dude. It was part of the pitch it that way you were in New York. I was still living in Iowa. Woah rigs is going to go in a limo and he's going to it's going to be all fancy and then. I spent two days on a bus with WHO bus people. I don't know how to explain this people that this. It doesn't look like rigs. It doesn't know does dude. It's fucking scary man. Look like you yeah. It's different. You Know Oh we played. We played golf with Jeff Flag. Oh yeah flag with two GS JEFF flag. I don't think you guys put the throw in the video. The what we had to put it was on twitter the other day. I don't know trying to look for it. It's it's gotta be right but regardless. I WanNa make sure it is the whole show looking for. I don't think that's really how it works so it'd be so go. Check that out if you can or a long drive grabbed change it was fun. We had a good time from the gallery. Let's rip through a couple of these. I've had a couple of these on the list for awhile and I can't remember if I got to any of them. I don't think we have after we do the one about the key the guy using his son to get pitting okay all right so we're going to go. Brenton Brown's got a great this one. This one made me laugh. Brent says my son as she's about to we've taken several tournaments including legends of Golf Big Cedar just a few couple of tournaments that we've been to he gained. That's the opportunity to meet most notably your close friend. Gary player Tom Watson Mark Wahlberg. Your Boy Phil Mickelson. He said point is do you in the boys think it's low or or below us for us to use our son as Bait to get experiences and pictures with icons of the game. I tell my friends. They have to take advantage of this but can't decide if it's wrong. no you absolutely use your kid. If you have to as bait to get pictures I mean he's basically saying we get to meet all all these celebrities because our cute two year old son that we just take everywhere draws people over in their sons names ace which is awesome so no. I think that's all in fairplay I mean I I always used for many years as a as a ploy by my dad to do this big time my dad would try and get tickets to different events and like this before we had season tickets to the islanders my dad would send me out into the wherever they were scalping the scalping area of the parking lot and he just go act like you're lost or something and be like. I need tickets and then like I'd sidewalk there again. Have Tickets and my dad would come hustling. It's okay so we'll get. We'll get some tickets soon. The guys that what do you need. They'd like no way that's UNBELIEV. He's just yeah that's just Adam. Sandler does then Big Daddy. I think he's that little kid now like I'm. I'm sure I'm pro like probably remembering it a little like more dramatic than it probably was because I was young. I thought it was like fun. Things well like you just like. I'm sure my dad was like well. No like I used you but like I didn't make. You look like you were like homeless but man yeah now. My Dad will always do anything to get like any sort of edge. He's he's. He's a nice guy. He likes that shit so point being the Burrell's. You're doing it. Yeah breath should be doing nick. Nick Says Quick Hypothetical question if you're playing around round for a hundred grand okay of years playing around for a lot of money. Would you rather a play of course you know like the back of your hand but your game time is if you're not great or be play of course you don't know what all but your game is going good and going well at the time. Essentially what he's trying to get to is this fact. Everybody knows this that when you play like your home course your go-to you course everybody like plays that pretty consistently in pretty well for whatever comfortable shots you know where to miss. Whatever the hell it is the brakes or would you rather be like no. I'm playing in well but go to a course you completely have no idea of it's tricky from. I'd rather do the second and rather to be playing better. Okay yeah for a ton of money yeah yeah. I don't know I well. It's the money comes into play play better. Your wants would tie the scoring well plane. Well like hitting it well but you're not scoring so plane well in this sense meaning scoring well. I'm just reading the. I'm just trying to get to a core. I would say it'd be a much better mental state. If I'm just you play well. I don't care where it is yeah. It'd be nice to play where you know it really well but if I'm playing iffy I could go downhill in a hurry. I guess it really depends what type Golfie are too like. How bad is you're not well right right like I feel like a Scratch Golfer. Be Like I'm not really playing that great but like you're playing of course you don't like the backing Cahan. You're still not gonNA play poorly. Their ears going to play well. You're a golfer whereas some some of us who can be very versatile there. It's like are very volatile out there. It's like I'm playing well. It could get ugly but I do think it's a good one. It kind of goes to the whole point of like some people be three handicap at their home course but like a ten somewhere morale's or a seven or whatever because you play really well your home. I think if you're playing well at a new course sometimes it also helps you because it's your first time experiencing at your more like on top of your game and then you're also doing things that like maybe if it was your home course you try and take more risks like Oh. I know I can cut this corner. I know I can hit it over this water stuff so you take more risks if you're and if you're not playing well that day you're gonNA find yourself in more trouble. Just because you're still difficult likes like of course like today like Liberty National. I was just trying to hit the middle of the Greens and like middle of the fairways ways and just get through the course. I feel like if you played at fifteen or twenty times like you're like all right. I can start taking more liberties around not not to say Liberty National Liberties..

"We're going through a little headlines Walkup. It's the you know it's. It's the amateur version of the Ryder Cup for those who don't know team. USA Wins Fifteen and a half to ten and a half first time the the away team has won since two thousand and seven. Where were they Royal Liverpool. I believe that's where I saw. I saw a bunch of pictures much golf twitter at suffer going crazy about this hard to follow. Oh you got a lot of other shit going on where you're trying to play golf this weekend when they're overseas when football's back and all that it's Kinda hard to follow but a little bit of a shout Walker Cup notion guys on the team awesome some guys awesome win further. USA obviously anytime we beat you're up they can suck it so nice win by the US nice and the wind the wind. I I laughed. How I saw the wind on one of the video. The Guy was hitting the wedge or came right back to it was unreal. Matthew Fitzpatrick's brother was shot up to that guy the little the little guy can beat up say something worse there no that little in the Neapolitan Guy can beat up. We have to to English Professional Golfer Zor Zor. I our guy and our girl now brought to you law matthews battery. They're like Oh. You're a lot of people like the broncos interview. She was great. She was awesome so conversational conversational that I almost forget a lot of highlights like people liked it more than I thought because I I just I don't remember being that being like these incredibly profound found like questions and answers. I remember shoot the shit with her for half hour or forty minutes which is probably why people loved it so much. She was great one of the best interviews that we've done so hyphen cop this week Gleneagles. We have the captain of the United States Team Juli inkster. She joins us for about a half hour. We're GONNA put that in Thursday show because I believe the competitions Friday Saturday Sunday so we're going to throw that into the show on Thursday enjoy that Solheim Cup or girl Kanger Danielle King. We've had her on the show probably three or four times now at this point. She's awesome obviously Bronte law. She'll be on the other side. She's awesome. Juli inkster who we have on Thursday. She's awesome so there's a lot of really really great characters in the women's game. It's the is the women's version of the Ryder Cup so there's all kinds of crazy atmosphere. The I T I saw is massive massive so it's going to have a Ryder Cup type feel vibe all that watch that pay attention Paul Casey. There's an incident with Paul Casey over on the European tour. He won for the first time five years in the European tour this past weekend the bug rule so what the hell's this this video from the European torstar to get a lot of play and apparently so oh Paul Casey hits this. PUTT it hits a little bit of hits a bug in like barely kicks a little less still catches part of the whole goes in but then they are talking about out towards where they had to talk to Paul Kalvesier like review it if you I think knowingly hit a stroke that like hits a bug. You have to replay the shot. That's outrageous. Knowingly feels like some gray area totally but golf in theory everything like knowingly right. It's like intention right like if you like like Zach Johnson. The needle hit that one off the thirteen T. at the masters where he like it looked like he tapped into practice swing and hit. It hit off the thing like he could. He could have been like actually trying to hit that but say no. My intention wasn't hit it right so it's always there's always a gray area and every shot off yeah no you're right about that knowingly strange like like if they had gone up to Paul Casey afterwards the man like Hey. Did you know you're going to be like I wanted to kill that thing. Yeah I wanted dad. I was sick. AC- ended in and out there and I wanted to replay that show that there was one situation about shots like go back in when the game was invented since then at least that someone one used above to their advantage and that's why this rule was passed to be right like one on like all right. We need a rule for that massive Beatles back and right like yeah. I'm on this. I would love to know the origin story of that the rules of golf stipulate. I'm reading from GOLF DOT COM Knock Knock Golfing Digest. The rules of golf stipulate that if a ball in motion hits a person animal or object on the putting green the stroke must be replayed a bug and this is in this instance is considered an animal casey not replay the shot and he he wasn't notified of the potential breach until he was in the scoring airing official showed a video of what transpired the good news because Casey didn't knowingly hit the bug on his but the replay rule didn't apply and he was in the clear so what it must have been as somebody must have been like banked one off like they're playing partner who wasn't paying attention or something like that. You have an impossible shot you just chip on right at your buddy hits them in falls right on the green rolls towards the whole so that that were like a deer or a goat or something so it applies for all serious skit this applies for all swings or Putz. It's I think you said on the putting green yes. There's somebody must've putted one right like maybe there's a go actually like what you said like. If I'm in a bunker sudden than standing behind the pen wants drilling right off lurch and it was a sitting nice and soft. I thought that now is that illegal was always in the bunker. Yeah the legal now. I would probably be legal right. There might even be a stroke play on penalty alert here. I would like to see a try. I'd be so far in the next lobby. Brian Watt quick. I'm pretty quick nimble. He's quicker than you know. We've talked about this yeah. I would run backwards fascinating. That's incorrect. It's an interesting rule an interesting real Matt Kuchar back in the headlines for bad reasons so he's they telling me in like a waste bunker so he's allowed to remove loose impediments from his ball which fine it's supposed to be taken the spirit of the rule like if you have like a fucking stone stone or something around your ball you can move similar to like what Roy was doing when it was at liberty national by this morning we will speak a waste bunkers real quick the video chambers bay when I wash it like I forgot or didn't know that you can just take practice swings or ground your club and we just walk in. I'm just swinging the shit out. I felt great go on. He takes two or three and he goes. Oh yeah absolutely nothing for over. It's a great moment video anyways Matt Kuchar. They're like yeah. It's a waste bunkers. So technically you're fine. You can remove loosened pedants cool. It might be a stone with an injury to your ball. All you remove it so it's not distracting those affected fine well. He goes around basically essentially removes. Every grain of sand. That's around is ball so that essentially intially by the end of it. It was on a tee now couture. Everyone's roasting them like this guy just doesn't understand common sense when it comes to like the spirit of the game how to treat people how to treat the golf course the competition year lie in all that why can't Matt Kuchar figure it the fuck out I mean have you seen this video. I'm watching right now. Something's going through his brain where he just doesn't realize people are gonNA look at this. He's thinking people are GonNa. Watch and be like this isn't against the rule so they're going to be totally okay cool with it like if you're in the rough and you just picked off the grass in like a six inch circle around your ball so then you're ball was just like the only nothing left at one point. He started just like very very slightly removing sand and then he realized that no one was stopping him started crabbing everything he he goes crazy like he's robbing a bank. He's he's waiting for someone to say something. It's like no you need to know look he's. He's building a moat around only how many times he picks up the sand. It's must be twenty five and there's nothing there. He's just building a moat. That's what he's doing. He's building a small at a moat around shelf also that it's sitting on its own little island and then he's GonNa hit it. It's crazy so couture needs to figure the fuck out. He is not earning any fans this year in anything that he's doing so couture sure figured out thought that Makuuchi is going to be the guy totally going to lose a ton of fans because he doesn't. He doesn't do things the right way. Totally we all want to prove our GAZ. We're all GONNA play better golf. We talked about it all time we have this row up down can't figure it out no consistently on our consistency there you go systems. He I'm trying to say consistently say consistency sleaze. Lee Consistency consistency consistency knock. You just can't do consistent. I can say consistently consistently certainly one of the biggest reasons people don't play well as they could is because they're using the wrong clubs. We just talked about a couple of weeks ago Potter's. We'd like our potters. You need someone to help you out. Okay curated curated. That's what you need is an incredible idea to the point where I F- I now don't think I'll ever buy anything gear wise or like clubs wise went without using curated. I think that I need to someone never because all you do. Is You sign up for this. They don't even have the text it goes on the APP or on the web on the web site the website dot Com essentially you're so then he goes up. There are other web here on those letters the W W W I'm just surfing the Web Yup. That's all you gotTA. Do you gotta go curated. Dot Com and what they're GONNA do. Is You say I want this club. I hit the ball this way. This is how long I like my clubs. This is the way I shape the drive. This is what I want to do and they're like hey. We have five options for you. This is like the cheapest one. This is the most expensive passive one. This is the one I think you should do. This is the chassis put on so you don't have to go to the store. That's what you do like a PGA store or something. You get a pro talk to you. This is like I can lay in bed and talk to a AH like expert. Frankie had a guy tell them hey here's the Odyssey putter help. Keep your club face flatter to the ground. He had a legitimate guy very real person texting him how I still. I'll have not used the putter yet. You got a lot of things that have been happening with this putter. I was supposed to bring out the Saint George's Labor Day weekend. I packed in this huge car with our stuff. The putter was separate because it came in a box. It came within two days by the way after after I purchased what two days it was just avenue apartment after two days and I put the ball I took the powder out separately put it in and then when I took all the clubs out all the the luggage the putter still in that person's car and I haven't seen them because we live in.

"We'll get to it now on our golf are golfing podcasts outline. I put on Rafael. Nidal wins the US Open tennis this. What a match this was. I don't watch a second football until his matches over yesterday couldn't Rafael. Nidal wins is nineteenth major. He beat Daniel. Is that how you say that guys name. He's the Russian Dude Medvedev Medvedev guy giving the finger at everybody in the beginning the tournament. Oh he was this guy's awesome a young kid Medvedev. He's got his box. He had his like hot chick. They're going crazy then you gotten a doll. He's obviously the fan favorite. They're literally chanting like Nidal throughout the match Ashley Arthur. Ashe's chanting his name. It's Matt chanting. Here's the thing Shinko like what's what's the kate was it Rafa aw and they do it like you know typical adult and work for me at all no Nah no because they do. It kazeem chanting it that way because I love cake and Santa My head whenever he win the game now. Dow Game Now though I'm not sure go that were. Here's the thing that he didn't want anyone champion. He's a little baby back pitch when it comes to that stuff what he literally refused to play the game of tennis while while the crowd was jeering he kept backing off his pay supplies bad dude he's like he's got a little bit clearings around. I don't think it should be if the server is ready. The return or should have have to be ready to hit back and kept holding hands up. I don't like I think the service should set the pace and I will say federal crazy quickly and like if he's in rhythm he'll just keep pumping service at the guy and I will say that's you know. A little bit of experience gets to play in there that RAF is able to do that because fat and NFL loses a point or two. He'll slow it down that a win appointing. That'll just rip like three bombs at you and be out of there in the game's over yeah. That kid Medvedev was sick. I mean I watched like the whole sick I was. I I was in an Uber on my way back to the city and I mean I just couldn't I just watched it on the APP and I couldn't talk to me at one point said I have something really important going on back here well. I I will say that Guy Medvedev pissed people piss people off but like got on people's bad side because he literally was giving everybody the finger beginning of the tournament and then so I think they they just wanted somebody to beat him. Just because of our our history Americans against Russians I typically don't like Russians but this guy I love everything about the fact that he was like flicking off the crowd and people were hating them and then everyone's rooting for Rafa and he's like the enemy and the bad boy. I was all in on that fucking guy now. Andrew telling me Komo Rafa. was that the CIA so that's what they're okay. I knew something different. I just couldn't remember they say they chanted like softly. Not like this ruck like Rowdy Football Ball Type Chin. It's like classier like Oh. We're Tennessee through wash. Water supply plays loosely space one of the watching that Matt Chester just made me like I expect them like one of these days like while they're running back and forth to just have like their knees like like explode or like their legs just snob in have running on a hard surface like one of the only sports that does that right like usually oil against basketball but usually I like grass or whatever that's like the runnings were there for five hours. Detract me softer better soft rubber alter like it's just a concrete. They're running back and forth for five hours and it's just like the I don't know. It's just crazy to me. It's it's their endurances isn't saying it is insanely insanely encapsulating to watch like two tennis players playing for a Grand Slam title who are so evenly matched that every point it felt like dragged out like fifteen shots back and forth where it was like it was it was almost never it felt it felt like a serve valley slam point over like it felt like that just especially during the last couple sets because they get more tired and all that and they start to feel each other out and they've got a really good grip on each other and all that it just every time they served. It was like all right. He's GonNa hit a good return turn. He's GonNa hit a missile then he's GonNa hit another missile back and they're going to do that like fifteen and the ball is on the second serves like Medvedeva hit a bomb second serve Paul here just like nuts on the ground. I'm GonNa Fuck and put this thing. In the corner like it was insane. I will say Oh those big points to sometimes they go for a little less so they're not like right on the corner something like that and then but they're just ripping missiles back and then like somebody goes for lands in then you hear the crowd. Golic Oh yes and then it starts to to build on that and then there's like twenty three hits before the points over by the people are just erupted. I I stand in my living room when they whenever the crowd starts going nuts in the middle of a point I have to stay oh so and then you never like whenever the point ends in the announcer one of the announcers goes like Oh you know it's like crazy because I don't know that much about Tennis Wolf McEnroe's losing his mind. I'm fucking crazy over here. The dollar pointed out. He's got nineteen. I believe majors now. Slams Fed has twenty. He's got the most of all time so anyways. If you missed go watch the highlights. It was off the charts. I actually put that ahead of love on our outline. The Greenbriar kicks off this week. PGA Tour don't care. I don't know I couldn't care less. Is Anybody care. No fishers fishers island. I got out there Seth Rainer track. It's I just looked it up right. Before the show it's ranked tenth in Golf Digest's top one hundred courses in America. It's ranked tenth. This was on my top five bucket lists and the nature of our job. We'd been unbelievably lucky. We get to play a lot of really cool places because we started this little golf podcast it. It blew up you guys listen to it but when we get to play really cool courses. I went out there. My boy links gyms his dad. WHO's a great guy. in our other. Buddy Ryan went out to Fisher's. Maybe my new favorite course it's just it's on the water. You can see so the big staff about Fisher's. You can see the water from every single hole. It's about to was about a two and a half hour drive from me then like a forty minute ferry. See kind of do the whole thing you know you're going somewhere special and you have to ferry out there out to Fisher's. It's got maybe three three holes that are kind of forgettable and the rest are just off. The charts got a bunch of the template so it's got like a Redan. It's got a short hole. got a punch bowl so a lot of the kind of template holes that you know that you've seen and heard of all over the place. It's got all those except just fucking on the water so it was spectacular. It's of course that they have no fairway wait. You're none so if it's just like if it's just a dry summer with like very minimal rain and all that of course will just brown in the middle. I was GonNa ask you about that like so that doesn't into account on when you're you're saying it's like your favorite course to play like I saw some of the pictures and all these like watercourses. I feel like that same like texture or like. When are you looking at a picture of course it's really really really on the water. It's like that Sandy. Look to it like even on the fairway and like by the car pass or whatever and like. I don't know what I think think for me. I I just love like the pure green no matter where it is I would take that over that landscape and there's definitely different mindsets right like it's a lot more old school in like like links in almost like British rugged to me. It's like British to kind of like. Keep a course not. It's become very American to like make it as Green as possible and lush like every shot you have is going to be a perfect live here. In February. It's going to be a perfect sitting up perfectly manicured grass. That's water certain amount of times a day and they're caught and all this and that they got liberty. They were literally painting the Grass Green Right because my ball went through it and my ballers is green and it's that's very different to somewhere viciously which legit fishers like they do no irrigation on the fairways they don't have it so depending on where you go play like it was actually relatively green and a a lot of places for us because they've had a good amount of rain but you can go their certain years certain times a year where it's just. I love that kind of stuff bannon's very similar kind of way like all the courses in Scotland. All that are are very similar in that regard so I love it but it's not for everyone. You do get people who've over there. That's not my kind of golf like I get to the course of really cool. I really high but it loses some points because it's not like perfectly. Lina curtail and I get that if that's your preference fine but I it was just it was spectacular. We had perfect weather great logo so I spent about four or five hundred bucks in the pro shop which is always nice. The biggest takeaway was that my boy links gyms. You know I'm taking all these picks right. I'm on portrait mode my phone. I'm doing great well then after the fucking around and you know he sends me a handful of photos that he took and I was like well. I'm an asshole Izhak and so I was all rattled so I went and bought a new camera that we use today liberty pretty and I probably spent twelve hundred bucks in this camera things fucking sick. It's a Sony Rx one hundred version six. I guess there's like a four five and six that he's been telling me to get all year. Small Little Guy fits in your pocket. He's like you can you can play around and golf. Whip it out of your pocket. It's not a big production. It's very simple so I was like fine done on the camera when you take it in real time like you can't it just looks like hits net looks like fucking same thing that if you if you bought a disposable camera at like come on CBS when you look on the actual like Sandler right because it's a small little display. You can't tell you don't know if it's good. It's just looks like whatever well then. I uploaded into my fucking computer after around. I was like Oh my God. I just started sending you guys has a million pictures are unreliable because they come out so good so I have a new toy which is Sony Camera. Let's see this that I am obsessed with the pictures trying to picture it. Does it come out as a digital display to once you take the photo or yeah. That's what I'm talking about. Okay I'm saying like on the little digital display. I mean it. Don't worry when you look at it. You'll be like Oh. That's a pretty sick camera but it's not huge and again when you take them in real time. You can't tell what they look like outside of like okay. I think I framed it right but like you can't tell how sick it looks they. They come out so spoiled with the ones that we don't think like to me. Sometimes I'm like I can't get much better than right and then you look at the difference between like when we take photos today at liberty national and when when rigs uploaded the photos from the camera like it just the definition in the city skyline we were saying it makes the sky look look blankets right behind the whole as opposed to like one of the best photos of ever seen right. It's crazy and I'm probably gonNA instagram and that you have to you. Don't instagram. I mean that's a look in that thing flat. I mean you don't have much. I don't think it never had. I don't think it's an asset popping up position. Though you know no I don I agree because your ears you should be firing through all of your your ass and your hips moving directly. You would need to be like arch junior back to a spa if you got a good ass. I think it's tough to take a bad picture of it like you. Just don't you have nothing to work within. He's never been known as having we'll have access so no. You're asked US look good. It looks flat shit scrape picture though good great outfit but were you all go there right down the middle one that was a really good side of the fairway and then. I also bought a new drone. What's do yeah haven't opened it yet. Oh my body yesterday. I spent a lot of money at best buy I bought at the Maverick to wow. Dj I I have the DJ spark with Lurch and I both have which is a little guy like I four hundred bucks fits in your bag really tiny guy fly away better and then he's fucking links gyms has this one that it was in the sky felt like the whole day and he sent me the pictures pictures that he took after even like he was going through his ipad on the ferry back in just scrolling through all the photos and even before he edited them. I was like Oh my God. That footage is outrageous. Just things way faster all this that and I was like we're getting to the point now. We're GONNA film so many courses. It's becoming so much more of a full-time Gig for us that like I love the spark. I'm still gonNA rock that thing. I Ah my bag and even notice it's in there so small whereas a maverick thing is a little bit more of an operation in this thing is fucking sex already find that thing over cabinet this week can't wait so I've got to new toys and so because the batteries always been the.

Oh bodies pure ever come into a situation where you've run out of water. No dochas it comes out of my right eye legit we it three ice cubes in a glass filled up with water probably ten times a night when I get home. Wow and it's that we just tap wow. We're tapping your horrible for the environment argument. We're tapping people. Listen these always I love the environment I love the earth but those waterfalls going to be made regardless of I buy it or not. I will say well the whole world mixed change then I'll John was gonNA stand up not going to be me. I ain't gonNA be the water. Do we have possible guy. I'm not going to be the one that changes. The water bottles thought as a principal thing without without your principal person yeah so I'm not drink tap water. What do we have. We your dad sent us was that so I don't know what that stuff. Literally just might say water on this hits so my dad's a very you know. He's really wants to make sure that we're saying and he he goes through these phases where he thinks like you know. Maybe it'll be if there's an attack doc or this or that. He really wants us to be prepared so he is sent me over the years. Sometimes they'll send me like I'll get a random box opened up. They'll be like two gas masks in there and and then one time one of the things was he's like hey if if anything happens the most important thing you gotta have is water so I said a little. I feel like I I'm telling you you couldn't get into the there were eight cases of water active H to water on the aside and so it was when we were living old apartment on the twenty four four. I was like the first guy back 'cause I got an email from a couple of blocks. You got four. It's no joke there's thirty five cases of water and with like eighteen or twenty four water's just an amazing amount so God bless him the visit so we've got still when we move apartments. We've got these huge cases a walk so we're probably down to five or four of them at this point and then another one before in the back closet. They're still yeah so we've got up on. Come on come to you. Come back because that and more or less so and then another one he sent me a big huge box of do not open box of like preserve food that alike last forever so are we ever have to hunker down. We've got fooling this to like New York City apartment now like a bunker so if anything does happen your thought about it. We're like world. We go in like we have a plan to stay away from the windows the radiation yesterday for that for about twenty four to forty eight hours you stay away from the windows so you can hunger now and get certain spot hunker down like in a bathroom. Maybe maybe there's no windows or like a little basement little closet area that we've we've found. That's where hockey back. We'll get figured this out. I just have got to win your roommate's. It's dad since you literally. It makes you. You're doing watching some Shitty on sling. TV Sling TV cuts out slinky all songs before you know it. You're on a half hour tantamount. Hey if shit hits the fan. Where do we go. I know about the radius. I know I gotta rainy within like like a half mile. Basically you're done but if you're a mile two mile and a half or two out you've got a chance you'd have to make for the first twenty four to forty eight hours. You stay as far away from radiation creation as possible home. Come into the windows so like if you can go into a staircase or Al like or not like a staircase shaft of you live in a big building like hunger in there air but then it gets dangerous because like after ten twenty hours you might have people like might be like every man for himself situation so you. Kinda don't want to go into to public of the place because it might it crazy and there's a lot of thought about it clearly clearly. You've nightmares tonight again when people when my father God bless his heart you I know survival stunt guy you come up with the players survive and he's out there straight line out there very wherever they're at where his job it was just about us in yeah. He'll survive survive anywhere. He's as a matter of us to idiots configured now. No you can't even survive water. When there's perfectly we want to come out of the tap you go to frying Pan Apartment. You'll find ten cases of water before you find the right man and nothing else to quit no like bachelor no nothing. I bought three five last night unreal. WHAT SHOULD WE COOK. I Cook Chicken last night. Sick Pan roasted took me like an hour took forever. Man took an hour to cook chicken like people aren't going to believe they're like Oh. You must be doing something along with the laundry. Take forever to do. Some stove is on high. I was just wouldn't cook. It was pretty good though we'll dry sure after an hour hockey puck keeping moving here golf is a verb herb. I want to say that we really upset me fucking nuts but we really bring it up again. We really upheld the kind of our secret sauce because the whole issue is that that people it's actually supposed to be we we the people get rattled when people use it as we said use it as it now so our whole we predicated the whole the situation the whole conversation saying wrong sucrets off so we but we were arguing. The argument was totally. We're right. We just used the wrong okay but here's the final tweets about like all right now. Are they called golfers. Would you say to that instead of golf players. Yeah good question Russia. I don't know where that one fall that falls anywhere rex besides offers. It's wrong in my mind say and then once you answer that. Oh you can take your golfing also like someone who had talked quite frequently went through in search their tax and we're like you say golfing I I was. I golfed off all the time just forty five screen shots. I'm GonNa say that I just know that. It's the open championship since champion. Golfer of the year so if it's not correct then we need to rearrange all of the world champion Golf Player of the year saying like you're right yeah. Essentially we yeah I mean we were right that if you care about that it's dumb. No no no no. I don't want to say that I want to say that. It's correct to say golfing. It's cool to go that far. Yes it is correct. Someone said like it's all downhill with you. There's a way that you can change like verbs and now are still noun like googling was or wasn't a verb out. What is correct you just accept. It isn't Golfer still now yeah but what he's saying is like hockey or wouldn't announ right. It'd be a hockey player. You'd be a football player. You wouldn't be a football ballplayer hockey player baseball player golf player. No you're Golfer. Someone said I'm a golf player. I'd be like well. You can't break a thousand thousand inquests have fun at Putt Putt Golf Player. You Golfing Pirate's cove. That's what's media would say player. Yeah sure you're a pervert is what you are. Hey what a job really heavy accusation on Smitty to storm. Put the honor honor. What are you doing all that stuff's correct yeah I. I think that's the hell we should. I am just saying golfing. I golfed that should just be correct. I'm Al- things you communication is all about understanding yeah. If as long as you get it who cares jury that underlying snapple cow or something that's just that that comes out of my my vocab you an inspirational quotes instagram account no but it just helps me because I mispronounce can't tax you have a you. Don't you just generally generally on tax. Don't communicate well so then therefore people don't understand that you do understand now. Sometimes I just don't good motivational quote. I've come across awesome like you gotTa. You WanNa share that for later. I don't know I feel like I screen shot at some at some point but I don't know how recently that I can find it on my phone. I'd like to know the exact point in time time you wanted. A straight shot does because something wasn't going perfect. Let's just come across and motivational quote Jefferson good one. I'M GONNA sure cracking your knuckles don't talking about it makes me feel that maybe there's some great things are great. I'm just saying I like a good motivational. Quote Golfing stuff drives is me nuts man. There's a golf digesting says only real golfers use the noun form of the word which typically falls the verb play played or playing while swimmers may he goes swimming and cyclists may go cycling golfers. Just don't go golfing. Shut the Fuck Up Golf Digest calling you Golfing Digest. It should be in a padded room. Do you should tweeted them. Hey Golfing digest see how they take that Golfing Digest. Those serious about the sport do not use the verb term for oh. Oh my God I could just picture some like old crusty man with like huge ass eyebrow sitting down like like writing this down and giving it to his fucking like his assistant like all publish this these are the people the media center who just stare at what they're wrong not only only do they make me wrong. They're actually wrong and I want them to know that like no no no. I don't agree with t shirts golfing unbelievable. I don't disagree with you want you to know I'm not kidding. We will next week or two you. You will be selling a t shirt golfing on it yeah golfing golfing period with the Gulf podcast. We're GONNA MAKE GOLFING ATRA offing. That's GONNA drive some people. you know lose their. We're GONNA wear it. All of that. Media say it'd be all over that fucking yes open. I think what's his name. that that that the guy who has the darkness inside of him. Amen Amen Lynch Ayman boy says Golfing Yeah I think he will he might come to us with illegitimate dagger and stab us. If we start golfing we start saying and wearing golfing t shirts which we will or just a big hat. I want like a row pat that just says golfing on the top of it. Yeah that's great. I like that good one. We're going to make these data add things that they had the hang in there. Man Cave like went golfing. You ever see those. Gawk yeah well. It's usually the gone fishing gone golfing. Just it should just Shea Golfing. I don't even know if you need gone. We put the federal rattle people more than air will do it needs to be like golf yeah then he should be like a little sign on a man cave. They've Golfing Golf Digest like one that says like gone playing golf the way they write it to real people who are serious about the sport. Are you fucking kidding. You're incapable of being serious and liking golf unless you know how to use the to me I there was a time where enduring that rent that I wanted to drop the C word just an enraged in a fit of rage because I'm trying to bring it back up frank a good word to use a couple times in the course today I drill the drive just wait right and I just felt so good over the ball and it just feels so good to just let it out something something about. It was also clear my throat. I like it because I it feels like sums happening when somebody says oh she trae car- Carton like started slowly walking me like like somebody says that word because it's not taboo boo but it's like taboo to enough saying to a person if you don't say to a person or about a person then it's an animate object and it's just like it's when somebody says there's there's something in the air..

Yes for me you had so I will say for you. I feel like it's more your irons. I would say I feel like you pull you and you'll have like a nightmare in your hand and to make what feels like a nice swing but just pull it like hard and it yeah starts right goes right because you're a lefty where I feel. You're usually pretty consistent off the tee. Yeah you just get the top-scoring sometimes but other than that I don't hit it left or right there. I The tops off the not. The good ones the bad the ones there was a moment today we're playing the eleventh hole and it was like a two hundred yard par three and it was like we're right in the middle of the round were skins getting intense and I stepped up. I and I hit just five iron and I forever. It was like the sky was kind of light and I couldn't. I couldn't see where the ball goes. I looked at took a nice divet. My firearm looked up. I don't see there's water. Maybe thirty already forty yards left those I'm looking. Don't see just a splash right before splash. We're that would go there because like left yeah. I just said after I go awesome. I felt great. That's forty yards. I remember thinking ooh ice close instant double when you're not gonNA golfing golfing nutshell polar opposite sometimes when the sun's in your face and you don't see it and you know you're right down the middle right side. That's that's the best feeling because you like you could have told me up all his at about re T. right now. I don't believe you a hundred percent the whole time. I think we should still check it can then. I think it was like the seventh hole today where I just come off. Put One in the water on the previous hole and I I it's hard for four and I stepped up and swung pretty hard at this thing and I remember right. It impact thinking like Ma'am Way Outta. Whack Oh God I looked up. It was a missile tight. Draw right down the right center. Say What is going. That's when you know you got full control you. I poured three maybe half maybe even three fourths of Pink Whitney and then I topped off with some Seltzer Rum. I I put it around in a circle. I spun the ice around I give about. I don't know thirty five seconds so at the ice really chill the drink. I took a drink. I started laughing out loud so it was like candy drinking lemonade. I was actually talk of Campsie radio guys they. I don't think they really edit cut really much but I think others do a lot of it it so we got to be one of the least edited podcasts on the network. I mean we don't have anything no sometimes jaekle. Senate to US seconds after seconds so this is good ready to go up my jake. I'm literally still sitting in the studio. Quick Fingers Jake. It's like just rahood in the ads and that's it. That's a little little behind the scenes role listeners there's either. We don't really like our own little behind the Greens. We exceptions foreplay section right. There's a lot going on yeah. We one time. I WanNa say behind the Greens from a couple of months ago where somebody told a story about like a course that their family owns or something like that and the guy emailed us after terms like actually story. I was jealous. Your driver's swing looks great. It was good today. Front nine was a debacle but I picked it up. I played some golf on the back nine. You put you have you finished. I'll let you tell you finished. I started the front and with a forty eight there was a disaster couldn't Putt for anything missing every single fairway and then finished the back nine with a forty one one in five straight Pars. Wow Yeah let him finish. We fourteen fifteen sixteen seventeen eighteen done plan from like what do we played it from sixty eight hundred yards yeah and it's a PGA tour course that like the Greens were running. I mean it's a hard gough eight. One was playing like four sixty five into the why not really into the win but like deep yup one par-three that were all standing on. That's the great little we watch guys hit the bunker there all the time all day hit that to what you hit that to probably six. He pin missed a Birdie PUTT. You know I may start putting writing you did a whole like six six seven feet which on PJ tourist probably they're probably like forty percent from there or something and you stepped up to like. I just have to make this. There's no way you can't make this Birdie Putt Yeah and then you obviously missed close now aw low the hallway I've gotten so many messages about putting so many lefties have turned righty with the lefty grip. Is that right yeah yeah. I've gotten like an incredible amount of DNA handicaps above blow town for the most part. I mean I know two guys very personal like like my buddy who called into behind any growing pro through its right and proper. Nelson's like a four. He putts righty. I mean there's okay. It's fucking crazy. You're so so physically think about like just give it. Your best can't think about come putter bad. Eh handles himself. There's no way that he's Com. Coin putting is almost identical so if he's thinking about going the other hand like who are you offering me. I use next week left changed putters. I'll tell you what when breed was close to me. He solved me for a day at bethpage. You guys I was phenomenal. I was rolling the ball great that was that was a stunning day. That was unbelievable like the best. I've ever put a pendulum. It's literally laugh off me. What did he give you their Jimmy. So I do too many angles with my elbows. The angle's ACL yes so every angle that you make with your wrists is with your elbows with your arms. Bring a new angle into the club so you're there's gotta be some sort of multiple factor in that so if I just straight out my elbows that's less angles bringing into the club less of a mess br essentially Bryson. I feel like hits. A regular not just put agrees he. He's tried to turn himself in a robot yeah like with from mathematics automatics to a swing to the length of the club. I think the whole thing he's trying to do is trying to create the most repeatable swing possible he I will say watching his game. He's one of those guys who gives you hope you think right and I've talked about this before this when Rory swingset driver you just you just drop everything and you drop all hope and you go. I could never fucking and do that. Never ever. That's just not possible and win like Bryson. D Shambo swings driver. I'm like you know what I I agree. That's and same with your body cast traffic with Jim furic or somebody like that. It's like I could get somewhere in the ballpark of that. I could do again now. In Rory swings were in tigers fans it just they're like nope never never never ever not even close now within eight million yards of that. Can I get to racist pipe and his drives. I really I'm I'm hitting it well right now. I was a little rattled about how poorly I scored today but I'm also. I'm taking a lot of positive because I've been hitting the ball well. Here's the weird thing drives Roger. You're crushing some drives crushing. They were tightening in other other other drives. They looked like they were going to be. I never seen it. I think on eighteen was one of them. Were you like piped on right down the middle. I was like holy fucking in the ball. Just kind of died out there so you're Mrs. They're still going straight right what I'm trying to get to right. That's pretty much where I'm at where like when I am catching them and you know the sweet spot field knows that like I'm moving them out there around like with you which you had a pretty far. I consider you in like lurks bullshitted pretty similar distances and and then when I miss him a little bit. I'm not hitting poor not hitting him way left or right. They're still going straight just like not quite as far yeah so you know people. No I tried to tweak my swing predrag like a month and a half ago. I'm getting a lot closer. I had a stretch so played fishers island which I'm GonNa get into later. We'll talk more details about that but we played you know we played eighteen. A Good Catala didn't score great but I felt like I was hitting. We went out and did an emergency ten holes. I hit ten Greens regulation in a row. WHOA damn that's that's got to be like the first time I ever did that. I there's there's no and then I hit the first two today at liberty so I had hit twelve greens regulation. Arroyo and I was sitting at that when we walked off the second green which I three putted and those ten whole stretch I played at two over par at shot thirty eight on the front hitting every single Green Bay bridge. Now I will say the Greens had been punched two days before okay so I mean take take it what is still not great but point being like I'm starting to strike my ball. I'm still scoring pretty terribly but I think you can iron those things out Frankie Frankie fucking finish with five years in a row from like a decent length told like playing the course from the t to the whole it was who has some good Golfman. That's awesome yeah the the big. The biggest thing for me is just getting off the tee with my like pure drive swing like if I can pump it out there. I'm always giving myself a chance once. I start pulling the ball. It's crazy like I pull the ball on the on the on the front and that's your big miss.. Oh my God it's like I I can feel what I do. Also I literally pull it in the water. No no no I use an iron. No you missed it a little bit. He's out in the left and then you're fine back of the green then three-putt daddy hit one of the water the TANF. All the Magic's gone now. It's not the magic feels like not. I'll be honest. I think that a lot of that were club selection and I think you gotta pull driver on almost every I think you're right just hit driver. Even that first of all why don't we all think just ripped drive on the left with your little cut it up and like who gives a shit can't be thinking 'cause like you hit that thing so consistently right. It's and you don't get much trouble with it usually so I think you gotta stick that driver. Once you middle part around you started just whipping that bad boy out everywhere and you were every hole yeah. No you're right yeah. The driver is my the GO-TO club. I gotTA keep using that. I wish I had not put it in the water so many times and but other than national think we're we're getting there but it still have rounds like this where it's like. Whoa we're kind of all over the place. I don't know what this does for why stop pulling the ball but all I did on the backend is at teed the ball up significantly higher with my driver and rightly inter all if it's a mental thing to come through through it because you just have more room. I don't know what it is like. Mentally I was just coming through the ball but I noticed that like there's lines on my teeth and I was going to lines higher in in just a few T- up higher. It's much harder to pull the ball. It is yeah okay not at lower yeah. I will say why shouldn't the length Akash. I would've anything I a couple of weeks ago. I would have heavily doubted you ever since you were right about your fucking wind calculation now. I look at you as someone who really knows there. You got you got some credibility. Signs remind not a little higher and higher. It's much harder to pull the ball than than four than higher. I heard yeah that's almost like like in baseball. You can like pull a low and inside. I'd fastball but getting on top of it higher. I mean well. It's just finished up big tennis week. I literally think about Tennis Kinda the same what it's like a high ball. It's very hard to mix this poll. A high ball is harder to pull. It's much easier to cut and so it seems spot just like just heat up higher yeah the same way you know it's a little bit like back and forty or stance a little bit. You know if it's out in front of you. It's harder to pull that golf shot than it is. If it's on your back for that is very true Ivan starting to think about it now like baseball wise like if somebody through like a high floater out like almost no way to pull it possibly Brett back..

"And I feel like I've also been happened to be reading recently book about flow states, kind of the classic book about that, which is a little bit even antiquated now, I think, but. It does occur to me that that's what that's what this these things are. It's getting into this thing where my mind doesn't wonder. It's just totally absorbed in the task and totally at peace and pleasure. Just doing the fundamentals of the task without any attachment to how it goes even and certainly not with any aim of some resulting outcome other than I will improve at this thing. And I just found a really interesting. I found it enjoyable at the same time. As I look back or when I'm not doing it, I'll look at it and say, why am I spending this time doing this stuff? When there's not really any outcome, it doesn't similar with cooking reasons. I've been trying to cook meals almost every single day. Sometimes, you know some of this relaunched moments, family dinner. But I keep wondering, why am I putting this many hours into something? And I'm focusing on learning with that too. It's and there's not really any. There's no goal. I'm not trying to become a professional chef. I'm not trying to become a pro golfer. I'm not trying to do anything really tangible. And so I don't know. I've suddenly had this appreciation for the goalless thing while at the same time really missing that feeling of having a goal that you really really excited about. And I think that's probably why the hundred mile has suddenly seemed appealing because that that is a tangible like accomplish this result, get this outcome. Idea. So anyway, I don't know. I just wanted to see what what you thought about all this. Interesting. It's interesting because I feel we've talked a little bit abstract about these kind of ideas, but to see you have put in them like how, how it's how you just changed your opinions change in how you're actually. Focused on them with with the golfing everything. So. Let's go back to offer. I second what, what's an example of one of the things you're working on at the driving range. Like grip is. I, I three or four sessions I just focused on grip. Yeah, that's what I was gonna say. And it's, and it's also I'll let you go to second. But like I remember when I was a kid, if I would change my grip, obviously I wouldn't get because if you tried to do that, you'd feel like you had never played golf before when you're trying to hit ball, you suddenly can't hit and it just the weirdest feeling and it takes it takes many sessions to get used to new grip. So just again, the antithesis of the way I used to practice. Right, right. What I was going to say was that if it was something like spin or something like that on the ball, right. I'm sure it's one of some meter might come up one day. You know, it kind of sounds like instead of just some big goal of massive, scary goal. You're like you're like focused on little micro goals, right? And. You know, just, you know, you read something about how grip will help your swaying or whatever you wanna go out and you want to work on grip on the same way that like used to want to work on cadence or something like that. With your running. So it wasn't. They were like little micro goals that that would you know have in the past been part of a bigger picture goal? Probably. And you don't seem to have that bigger picture goal, but you're still kind of focused on those little micracles. Yeah, I think I think that is correct. I what's what's different now is is kind of what you just said that the the big goal that all those little things are toward like getting a perfect grip perked or not, but but getting as good a grip is I can get. The only thing that's working towards is. Building this mythical. Perfect swing, right without any real result that all I'm trying to do is really dive into what it means to swing a golf club, the correct way, and that's all the goal. So, and that's what the drumming was..
