"Talk to our good buddy, Chris Haynes, NBA on TNT and NBA insider for bleacher report how to sit down with Kevin Durant, Durant had some interesting comments. And I was watching the game against Portland last night. And how many times can we check with our stats guy, John tuvey? How many times is Kevin Durant's jumper bin blocked in his career? Because Jeremy grant got it. And he was in Durant's face last night. It's rare when you see Durant corralled and you had that last night. And I started to wonder about this. I asked Pauly if he could find out some background information. If you take it to an auction house, does the person who's putting the item up have to pay the auction house or the person who's buying the item pay the auction house. I checked in with the buddy Darren velvet and the action network. He says it. It varies. The usually the buyer pays the premium for the ball or the charge for the item. So if you're selling it and the bid is 3.5 million, you should get 3.5 from the auction house. And if there's a 10% charge, buyers charge, the buyer would pay that.

"The nuggets being hit hard by the NBA's COVID protocols. So they've already had to be without bones highland, who's come back. They're without Nikola Jokić right now who went in the other day, mister game. Now they're going to be without Jamal Murray. Who's also entered the COVID protocols. There's only like four players in the entire NBA who's currently in the protocols, and the nuggets have two of them. It happens to be their two best players. What do they call that thing? They don't call it COVID protocols. They call it a health and safety. For health and safety protocols. Just in case. Yeah, I mean, you don't mention COVID. COVID does not get mentioned in professional sports. You remember how the NFL cured COVID last year during the playoffs? They did. This went away. Listen to me. No longer existed. That's what? The only one. There's no COVID here. And look, I'm not making light of COVID. And what I'm saying is is that sort of amusing how the professional sports world has said, COVID? What is this COVID you speak of? Right. It's kind of like when the griswolds went to Wally world in med John Candy. And he said, sorry, folks. Parks close. Moves outside. Right? Same thing. I love doing that. Same thing. You love doing that. Same thing. You love design same thing. John Candy and vacation. Sure. 'cause I got Wolverine blood, Mike. Hey man, this is what you're gonna have to be doing on Sunday. Start practicing. Start practicing. I've been doing my high knees. Yeah? Here comes the airplane. They might bite. They had to write, I'm gonna write these down on my write them down on your board, especially like when you did the one with the different 80s songs, did you literally have them like all written down on your prep board? The different songs and the different lyrics, and then you check them off. Yeah, I just put a bunch of a bunch of songs, a bunch of 80s songs from a bunch of different bands that I like. One of them, though, one of them was just purely off the cuff, and I was really proud of it. Because it had snowed the day before, and then it was like sunny and 50. And I said, you know, we talked about the weather and I go, hey, that's life in the northern town. Oh, that was totally off the cuff. Off the cuff, life in northern town, genius. Yeah. So, yeah. So wrapping up the nuggets play in Dallas tonight against the Luca and the Mavs without jokic without Jamal Murray. Really? Curious to see how Michael Porter junior plays tonight. Because in the absence of jokic the other night, you're looking for MPJ, we're all looking for signs that he's ready to go to the next level, make the jump, start living up to that huge contract that he got. It's time to start acting like a leading man, you know, not just simply supporting actor, it's time to be a leading man and tonight's the night I want to see him play an act like a leading man. Right, and hey, you know what? Today is the time for is to step away from being a great shooter and start becoming a great score. Oh, there is a difference. Huge difference. Yep. And I'd like to see him start being a great scorer. By the way, I didn't even mention the dream academy. Life in the north of town. Correct. Oh, I thought that was just even two, but then I thought, you know, there's some people that don't really, it is we're in a tower. There's some youngsters out there that don't really understand great 80s tunes. Well, Peterson right here, Denver fan dot com. Man, why can't we get players like this? So Paul Goldschmidt of the Cardinals won the MVP award national league MVP award air judge in the American League. Paul Goldschmidt in the national league finishing third was another cardinal by the name of Nolan Arenado, perhaps you've heard of him. Yeah. He's a pretty good player. The good news is we're going to get the good news is we'll get Aaron judge, right? Oh yeah. I'm sure they're going to sign Aaron judge Aaron judge with he and Iron Man. A lot of times W yeah, you get judge and Iron Man in the same outfield. Tonight you didn't have to forget about it. So straight to the World Series. So Nolan Arenado, who will be the rocky second high of fade player this year. Third in the MVP voting. Why you didn't just call his bluff. That was always my argument that, okay, he wasn't happy. Okay, he wanted out. You betrayed the agreement that you had with him that you'd sign in and then build around him. You betrayed that. You didn't do it. But still, even when he demanded a trade, you could have told him, no. Because people are like, well, then you run the risk of him opting out of his contract and getting nothing. I said it then, and I was proven right. There was no way he was going to opt out of a contract that would still pay him a $140 million deep into his 30s. There was no way with the way that the economics of baseball were and are going that a guy that age as great as he is would opt out of his deal and still be able to sign a new deal recouping the money. That he would be opting out of him. So you should have, you should have called his bluff. Here's what you traded him for nothing and gave the card game of all the money. Here's the deal with when the players get older if they're still productive, look at Verlander. You just become a mercenary. You sign one year deals. That's how baseball works now. So why are you going to walk away from guaranteed money? I mean, that's more than generational money. That's. All the earth hands. That's that kind of. Yeah, you're not going to walk away from that. Stupid. Can't wait for the big moves that the rockies have planned for. Oh my gosh. Just right now. Ryan and the weeds. That's what they are. Planning over there right now. I'll tell you what. I reagents flying into Centennial. Here comes airplane. Here comes the airplane. So interface is going to join us here in just a second. But so we were thinking about the phrase it pays. And this is the way we're going to go because it's all about Russ. And it's all about some of the funny things that Russ has given us this year. And you, in your own inimitable style, will include it as the phrases to pay without making direct reference to us. You're just going to work them in. Yeah, this isn't going to be, hey, you know, when they went to London a couple of weeks ago, Russ was doing, nope, you're not going to do that. No, he's going to work the phrases in. This is Marx. I got to write them down. I got it right. Assignment for the phrases that pay if you just join us. He's got 5 that he needs to work into the broadcast. Yep. Here comes the airplane. Yep. Comes. The airplane. It's a good radio. Yep, write it down. I got to write it so I can read it. Here comes a big bite. Big bite. Wolverine blood. Yep. Blood. And one more. Okay. And then it's spicy. Let's run. Now you don't need to do let's ride. That's too easy. But if you can work in without making direct references to rush, if you can work in high knees, here comes the airplane, big bite, Wolverine blood,

"I think the focus this year in baseball has been on the American League with the MVP and it's going to be Aaron judge. In the national league, Paul Goldschmidt, that's his second home run that he hit in that game. So right now he ranks first and average, he is second in home runs one behind the leader and first in RBIs. The last time a national leaguer won the Triple Crown. Anybody want to take a guess, and he might have been a cardinal. Might have been. I'm trying to think, yes, Pauly. The hint just helped me Jack Clark? Nope. The year was 1937. William McGee. I'm just kidding. Not that old. I think it's ducky medwick. For some reason. And I don't know if he, I think he was a cardinal for some reason. Can somebody check the last national leaguer to win the Triple Crown? But Paul Goldschmidt, you know, he was in Arizona and people talked about, oh man, that guy's pretty good. And then he goes to the Cardinals, yes, Pauly. Ducky, ducky medwick, right? His actual name was Joe Manchin. 19 37 hit three 74 for the Cardinals. Yeah. All right. Sorry, thank you. Got a waiting around for a little acknowledgment there. So he's bad in three 39. He's got 33 home runs. He got 105 RBIs. How do you get the nickname ducky? Was he hit by pitch a lot early in his career? Maybe he avoided getting hit. And he's good at I don't know why he'd be called ducky. Yes, hunt. While playing with Houston, midwick acquired the nickname ducky, some say was because he waddled like a duck when he walked. His teammates picked up on it, started calling him ducky, or even worse, ducky lucky, Joe detested the name, but it caught on it for eSports writers, routinely referred to him as ducky. Oh, okay. Thank you. You're welcome. So. You beat me through. I was saying this at the Todd, thank you. You're welcome. So I'm cute. I know. Ethan and Idaho, hi Ethan, what's on your mind?

"I think we can trust the samples at this point in the eye test, I think Nolan are not as impressed me even more than Christian walker in the fields. I think I can safely say. So I'm just like grappling with his defense. His underlying defensive metrics. Yeah. Oh my God, at 30, a third base, you know? He used to 15 DRS. He's got 16 outs above average when you convert that into runs. It's 12 is use your one 50 as 11.1. Yeah. I mean, I heard it was hitting 303 65 57. So that's like almost a one 60 WRC plus. No slouch. He's been bad at the plate. Yeah, so really, it's hard to separate the two. Like, yeah. I don't know, man. Paul Goldschmidt has two more stolen bases, so I think that that's going to be what it comes down to, Ben. Might just be those two extra bags he swiped. If the season were to end today, which would be weird 'cause they still have a bunch of games to play. Goldschmidt's got a three 82 babbitt right now, which again, like you don't necessarily have to discount that or the expected stats, which has somewhat over performed quite significantly actually. So if you think that is a little flukey, then I guess you could hold that against him. There are some people who will say, oh, this is retrospective. It doesn't matter. He got the hits. Yeah. I think there's still something to be said for whether what you did the underlying performance deserved that kind of result. Like, if you're just looking for a tie breaker, which you are, in this case, because they were literally tied wise and during the day and they're on the same team and everything. So it's hard to differentiate between them. And I haven't done a deep dive into their candidacy, obviously. There's not going to be a big difference in terms of quality of opponents faced or anything. That would be weird if you put oh no, I think I've read something very wrong with my analysis. Yeah. And I haven't really looked into the clutch Ness. I guess it looks like they've both been a clutch, if you use the fan graphs clutch definition, which is just relative to their extremely high, it doesn't mean much, but yeah, it's so preferential and when you have you're having a year like it actually strikes me as somewhat reasonable that they would be on clutch relative to themselves because of themselves is really themselves is really great. Yeah, so I don't know how you choose between them. I guess you don't because it's August 25th. So you don't actually have to. You can wait more than a month and see who finishes strong. So that's one reason why we haven't talked about this until now because there's no pressing reason to talk about it until the season is actually just about to be over. Right. And neither of us is voting in this award, I assume. I do not expect to be. I am not voting in this award. I am an awards voter I found out. Oh. Interesting. I am not yet again. Yeah, so I'm going to have to, can I say? We can't talk about what I can't talk about my vote before they're announced. Right. No, you can not but you can say that you have one. Yeah. I found out that I have an NL rookie of the year vote. Okay. It's only my second vote. Since I joined the BBW, which I'm very fancy. Yeah. Well, you can choose between some graves, probably. Looked at the leaderboard. There's a lot of doubling up in some of these award races. You're right about that where it's like, wow. These good teams have good players filled with love. Some dynamic duos here. Yeah. Today I had the following experience. I had the following, it's like a mic squared experience. So I went on vacation on Friday. And I didn't do a lot of baseball watching while I was on vacation bank because I was trying to not be working. Sure. And so I totally missed my trout coming back. From being hurt. So that was sure a pleasant surprise when I looked up yesterday and I was like, hey, did you know that that's my trope? And then today, I had the angels and raised game on before we started recording. And for a guy who has had all of entering today, he had had 50 big league played appearances in this season, I think he's added four more today. I have said that player X is a what now? About Mike Ford more than any other player in baseball this year. Did you know that Mike Ford's on the angels now, bud? I did. I didn't know that he had just been added to them. Because he has been with three other teams. Yes. Yes. Not really hit for any of them. No, he has not had on the angels now. The weird and wonderful and terrible thing about the angels is that when they pick you up, it seems like you are bad and clean up that day. Even if they just picked you up off the metaphorical scrap heap, essentially, the discard pile from other big league teams, somehow you are slotted in at the cleanup. He did go to for four. So good for Mike fort, but yeah, good for my Ford. That's not the mic that you want. Bed and clean up in that lineup ideally. Right, and now sitting here, I realize that mostly this is a continuation of the angels season long plot to just profoundly confuse us about who is on their roster by doubling up on names or having names that are quite similar. So I hope that Mike Ford does well, but if, you know, in the off season he manages to end up somewhere that doesn't also employ Mike drought. That might be less confusing to some of us, particularly if we go on vacation. Yeah. Okay. Well, it's a pleasant surprise. Oh yeah. He's back because it's often been an unpleasant surprise that he has been absent. Yeah. All right, let's finish with a little step last barrage here. If I saw something again as I will be asked and then the teaser takes you to discuss it at length and lies it pour us in a minute. Is to dance.

"Right, but it's like you confident in that, you really confident in that. So I just think like everyone should get vaccinated and play baseball games and protect their communities. You're right. We don't really have more to say about it. I think it would have taken longer to do all of the things in that tweet. Then it took to read the treat. I'm pivoting because you're right. I don't really have a new thing to say. I think our position on the advisability of getting vaccinated is pretty clear and how doofy it is to not do that really in any context is clear and it remains it's no less doofy if the thing you're trying to do is beat the Toronto Blue Jays in a baseball game equally doofy in that context. Yeah, I guess they're playing the odds a that they will be fine without the vaccine, but also playing the odds that their team will not end up facing the Blue Jays in the world here, I guess, which decent ads for that. You are taking a slight risk there of looking very bad, but very bad. Yes, if you feel so strongly about it, perhaps it's worth it to you. It's not exactly someone taking a, well, it is perhaps for some a principled stand for others. I'm not so sure, but it's not. The principle that I would want to stand on. But yes, I'm sure whenever we bring this up, it becomes big news whenever it happens, there's another round of up this team and this superstar, but there's probably some small subset of our audience that goes grumpy grumble and with those guys. And then there's a bigger part of our audience that's like, yeah, we're with you. We know what you said about this before. And you can just assume that we know what you would say about this too. But I guess generally, I don't know that my position is like, I wish I didn't know so much about these players like there are times when it's good for these things to come to light. There are other times when, look, I'm not saying that like knowing these things is gonna make me unable to appreciate the next Nolan are no backhand stab and incredible throw across the diamond or something like we can still appreciate him as a baseball player or Paul Goldschmidt as a baseball player, but it's also hard to completely dissociate their play from who we now know they are as people at least in this one realm. I'm not saying they're like history's greatest villains or anything like that. But it's one thing where you think he's one of those, you know? So again, it's like they're so many baseball players who probably have plenty of opinions that we would not share and not only not share but not endorse. Perhaps. Perhaps in some cases. And so in most cases, we can remain blissfully oblivious of these things and they don't broadcast those thoughts and we don't ask necessarily. It just doesn't come up. We get to just pay attention to who they are as baseball players and leave it at that. But in this one specific issue, it just unavoidably becomes, yeah. Yeah, we're going to know. And I guess that there is something potentially a little squeamish and squirrely on our part for being satisfied with that, right? That we're like, yeah, we don't know, so it's probably fine. But we don't know. You know, we don't know. And it's nice when we don't sometimes. Yeah, can we ever truly know anyone? Right. Yeah, I mean, we know we know fun facts about weird confluences of baseball events never previously happening before. And now we know a little something about two players who I think we're both quite fond of watching. And so it's disappointing that this is the course that they have charted. And I guess we'll see where the rubber meets the road on conviction around these questions because I gotta tell you, I think that I think we're gonna hear about some last minute J&J shots. If it comes to it, right? 'cause I think that one thing I feel very confident in baseball players have conviction and at least at the major league level is that they really like to win a World Series. I also think there's a strong possibility that they're at this moment sort of amiable and non confrontational teammates might change their tune if they're staring down like a World Series game without Nolan are not on Paul Goldschmidt in much the same way that I imagined like the vibe in the Phillies Clubhouse could be different or you know the twins or the mayors or whatever. They're just a lot of possibilities of postseason potential meeting the harsh reality of not being willing to get vaccinated so you could join your teammates and I guess we'll see how that plays out. So maybe later in the week we can talk a little bit about a few teams that are on the trade deadline playoff bubble that are kind of deciding whether to stock up or divest themselves, don't know whether you noticed, but I think the Red Sox went through maybe a little rough patch since the last time we spoke. Yeah. But we can get into that maybe next time just noting that it was a historically terrible stretch and one where they often looked kind of incompetent in ways that pretty good baseball teams do not just in the dropping pop ups and never seeing fly balls kind of category, which is seemingly befalling them quite a lot lately. I know that they have a lot of injuries. And they've been shorthanded, but they're in kind of a crucial series right now with Cleveland, where they have to decide both of those teams really have to decide whether they're in or out over the next week. And it's kind of an interesting conversation. So maybe we will save that for next time. I just want to do a little stat blast here that is related to that Red Sox guardian series. Something like the only one has a little bit of glass and then the teaser takes you to discuss it at length as it pours in a meaty way is to dance.

"With Manila, all those lines are blurred during the course of his game. I can't remember seeing a guy like that, Tim. Yeah, it's weird. You know, he wears a position player's number, first. Really throws you off. He weighs what, 280 pounds of these wearing number 6. That doesn't look right. He looks like your third catcher or your second DH, and he's out there firing. So, but you know, maybe that's part of it. Maybe people look at him and he doesn't even really look like a pitcher. Until that stuff comes in and then everyone goes, wow, we're dealing with something really good here. Yeah, I like watching him interact with teammates in a dugout during his starts. He's just a normal guy. He's not, he's not someone who has this aura about him. Like a starting pitcher. He's just another normal player in the dugout having a great time. National league MVP, I think Pete Alonso's got to be in that conversation, Paul Goldschmidt's got to be in that conversation. Who you got? Well, Manny Machado is in that conversation too, but I'm going to take Goldschmidt. He has, of course, solidified that in field defense. He is a pros pro at every way, player of the month in May. It over 400 with ten homers in May, the only cardinals ever to do that in any month are Stan Musial and Rogers hornsby leads the league in OPS for a team that's in first place. So I could easily go to Alonso. I could easily go to Manny Machado who has been tremendous for the Padres, but I'll go with Goldschmidt because I just know when you're around that team, they just look at him and they kind of follow his lead because he's just the most reliable guy in the world. Every day is the same. I don't think there's any doubt that Aaron judge is the FrontRunner to be the American League MVP because he's on a pace. Tim to hit over 60 homers be the first guy to hit that benchmark in over 20 years. But I do want people to pay attention to what José Ramírez is doing for the guardians. Ridiculous, like in any other year, where you didn't have a player like judge doing what he's doing. José Ramírez right now would be the runaway FrontRunner to be the American League MVP. He agree with me. I wouldn't say run away, but I would say he's right there, but look, buster, I'm 65, and I still put value in, is your team ahead? Is your team in first place? Are you winning? So Aaron judge has a 1.077 OPS for a team that is 44 and 16 and he's leading the league in home runs. He's the MVP of the league. José Ramírez has had a ridiculous year and the gardens wouldn't be anywhere without him, but when you are the best player on the best team, it almost guarantees that you're the MVP. That's where Aaron judge is. So these numbers aren't possible for José Ramírez. 37 extra base hits, including 16 homers, 33 walks, and just 17 strikeouts. Impossible in 2022. Right. Well, the strikeout totals are the ones that jump out at you. I mean, when a guy has more strikeouts on the war walks and strikeouts, it's absurd these days. When you have almost as many homers as strikeouts, that's DiMaggio, Ted clozaril. Yogi Berra, we just don't see that stuff anymore. That's the impressive part about Ramirez. He's the best third baseman in the game. Right now, and he's been tremendous. On Friday's podcast, we talked with Paul and bikinis about that decision. And Tony La Russa made last week intentionally walking, Trey Turner after the count got to one and two to pitch to max Muncie, Muncie, it's the home run. A lot of folks and social media were ripping Tony La Russa saying it's totally ridiculous. Hambo presented the numbers that show that the underlying statistics back up to some degree, what the roost did. I think Kemba and I both fell in the same place. We wouldn't have intentionally walked Trey Turner, but we also said it's not like it was some crazy decision. Well, larusso over the weekend continues to get criticism for that choice. This was la Russa on Friday going back over that Trey Turner decision. Can you explain the.

Back to the track and it's gone. Big flag Goldschmidt. The homers off a strap and the cardinals have a 6 to 5 lead. In a few minutes, you're going to hear from Tim kirkton as to whether or not he thinks Paul Goldschmidt is the FrontRunner to win nationally MVP. That sound, by the way, Cardinals radio network, Ricky Horton. Lots of injury news in recent days. The national Stephen Strasburg was scratched from his scheduled start. He continues to have issues related to his thoracic outlet syndrome, I saw him in his first start last week and he just was not the same Steven Strasbourg in terms of how hard he was throwing. So you hope for the best that he can come and make progress as we go ahead in the weeks to come. Walker buehler went on the age of list over the weekend with a right forearm strain, Dave Roberts, the Dodgers manager, made it very clear. He's going to be out a while and that kind of an impact on the national league west race. This happened last night in the braves game. Look at that defensive swing and Ozzie tripped and fell. "I mean if he plays hundred forty five games. He's an all star if he keeps doing this So that's That's been huge putting him in that. Three spot between goldschmidt varnedoe auto. I think that's one of the kind of low key secrets to the season. They're starting to adam wainwright about that on the night they clench and he said he thought that was kind of really. What's but help bring this offense alive. But you're right the outsold as a whole impressive in. Carlson really hasn't gotten probably as much credit because he's been he's done a little more quietly. But this guy unit you nailed on the eight. He's also played one hundred forty five games. he's played a ton his opium. His opium is up to above seven. Sixty he's hitting home runs from both sides of the plate. He's become basically Nolan are not does mini-me where he just in a meeting a complimentary ways learning everything he can from nolan. This is going to be really really good for a long time. And kind of the way he plays. I think maybe doesn't get enough attention that that he deserves. Because he's quite kinda quiet kind of under the radar kind of unassuming. But when you step back and look at what he's doing and how young he is. That's important they remember how much how much growth the has in front of him. Very impressive a baiter. I'm with you man. Look i was to the point. Where if you get the production from the corners you just claim and take the defense and anything he can do on top that you say great but i never. I never thought they'd go on seventeen game winning streak and he would have more hits than anybody else on the team That's probably not gonna be expected as the baseline but if he can hold onto someone of that if he can go on runs like this from time to time than than you take that and say. Thanks i think on top of the defense and obviously the power. The the base running excellence that he's provided during this. He's i think he's been kind of the the the ignition He the way he fires guys the his kind of swagger You'd never see somebody who can make paul goldschmidt laugh like that. "That is not nearly as lot cited as it wasn't a bruised favor yesterday. With brett anderson versus miles. Mike lists cardinals plus one twenty one ten in a row. They're getting it done with timely hitting the middle of their order tyler. O.'neil paul goldschmidt nolan. Arnaldo they have come alive in the months of august and september. Yati melina is playing the audio molina baseball. we're all he does get quote unquote clutch hits and their manufacturing runs. Their starting pitching has been good. There has been amazing with a bunch of guys. I didn't even know her in the cargo on two months ago who is tj macfarlane. Who is luis garcia. Who are these guys that have come up. And absolutely dominated in the last couple months of the so for whatever reason they the markets keep making them underdogs despite them beating really really good teams during the stretch. So i won't be able to use them for dog the day but again you're gonna plus value on hottest even baseball. Plus twenty against a brewers team that they wanna beat in Even the brewers are pretty much locked up the central cardinals like the aren't going to catch him so i don't think the brewers are coasting certainly down the stretch. But i do think the cardinals obviously a play in the best baseball of anyone in the bigs right now. So plus when twenty. Consider that. But certainly like i said our favorite bet is isolating the giants get into padres team that stinking sitting out a pitcher in vince velazquez Who the picked up literally off the scrapping. You mentioned the dodgers with bueller pitchy. He's been shaky a little bit by his standards. Of course down the stretch when buehler's pitching the major one day away from the best bet and all of sports and that is max scherzer. Who's been really unhittable. I think it's one of those things where everyone of us would say. Hey if you could into season right now what you do it. You'd say absolutely a heartbeat. Yes it's been You know a tremendously frustrating year inconsistent year. But you know you know. Go back. And i hate to drive comparison but you know you go back to twenty eleven and the season was a lot the same way where you know. Just didn't seem the team had all the pieces it took but they were resilient enough and they could you know win. The games like they did last night and managed to stay in the thick of things. And you know let's face it with everybody would love to be in a position with two and a half weeks left in the season to you know. Be on top and you know granted. It's still tight but they have everybody else looking at you as potentially the team to be The the play by goldschmidt to molina to our nado is truly one of the best defensive plays i've seen by a first baseman Because of the circumstances you know late in the season you know what's on the line it's first and third one out extra innings but that play last night is one of the best place i've seen by first baseman. And you know what impressed me was being bang. No time for him to think about what he was going to do. He had already prepared. We're talking about paul goldschmidt. "Against colorado up. Remember what he did last time. He played the rocky started taking off and it started in that series his powers up considerably on the road. I kind of wonder if he's gonna finish into the all star game on a tear ear. He's been. He's been as advertised a little. I think there's been a little Shakiness from him defensively more than we are used to seeing in part because he was getting used to playing with the new team. And i and. I think that's gonna continue to to level out. I love his fire. I think he's frustrated right now. I don't blame. Because i think he thinks. And we all know. This team should be better than it has been But in terms of his job he's doing it he's done it in all facets looks like a great looks like everything the could could've hoped and we still have seen what this team can look like when he's doing he's doing when paul goldschmidt gets locked in so it's been one or the other one of them's been hot or the other and we haven't really seen those twin turbo engines fire yet if this team's gonna be able to save the season and catch a groove where they can gain some ground and probably gonna need to see that in need to see it soon. Image and likeness often running in collegiate sports yesterday. And it's all as as the scoops empire picked its college athlete to To endorse yet. "Had the antenna up for most of his starters, third time through the order. Shift on three guys on the right side of second. Here's the pitch, and that's in for a strike. Carlson old for two, a strikeout at a fly out And the pitch and that one inside it's one and one. It's going to be an important inning for Davies. Particularly a little bit lucky right so far, but not like he speaks so well. What am I saying? Lucky, but you're going to have to face go alternate. Here's a swing and a fly ball left field. Peterson Racing over that one will fall for a hit. It takes a bounce hops out of play. It's an automatic double Ed Carlson to start the seventh with a double and it will bring Paul Goldschmidt to the plate. Is precisely what you were saying book. It's the third time right around the order. We were talking about the quick hook that David Ross's had to head lately. And now it's Goldschmidt and Coronado and O'Neill. If it gets there, Yeah, no doubt and again you're talking about looking at him first time through the order. Guys hit will six against him. Here's the pitch, and that's the strike of the outside corner to Goldman, Ryan to Pera is up in the Cubs bullpen. Second time against Davies. It's to 63rd time. It's 4 86 and a slug 703 is hell, Juan and that one fouled off of the plate. Got a piece of Willson Contreras. Is who is as tough as they come back. They're native of Venezuela and a guy who earlier this year against the Cardinals on Sunday night, Baseball took a 98 mile an hour fastball from Craig Kimbrel off of his wrist, and it wasn't one of those where he was recoiling. He got crossed up, and so he was reaching for it. It was almost like he boxed 98 mile.
