"Bob Myers is departing as president and general manager of the Golden State Warriors after building a championship team that captured four titles in an 8 year span and reached 5 straight NBA Finals from 2015 to 2019. One of the most successful GMs over the past decade in any sport, Myers contract was set to expire in late June. The 48 year old Myers became an agent before emerging as a top NBA executive with a personable nature who regularly attended practices to chat with players, coach Steve Kerr, and his assistants. "The NBA has suspended Golden State Warriors forward draymond green one game without pay for stepping on the chest of Sacramento Kings center de montes sabonis, the incident took place in the fourth quarter of the warrior's one 14 one O 6 game two loss on Monday in Sacramento. Green was ejected from the game while sabonis was assessed a technical foul for grabbing green's right ankle while falling to the floor. "Sports line now, here's Stephen. It was a weekend of rest for the Golden State Warriors as they had Saturday and Sunday off after going winless on their 5 game road trip. Now prior to Friday night's loss against the New Orleans pelicans, head coach Steve Kerr announced that he would be resting four of their starters, seeing as they already played the night before. As for Klay Thompson, this may be a common occurrence during the season. We've got a couple of guys who were going to be really careful with on back to backs all year. Clay may not play in a back to back all year. He didn't last year because of two straight season ending injuries. Back to back referring to when the warriors play two nights in a row, and as Kerr mentioned, this was the game plan for Klay Thompson last year, but it is worth noting that when he did return, draymond green was also out due to injury and with this approach, the warriors went into the postseason with nearly the entire roster healthy. As for this year, the warriors went into the season at full strength, but they want to preserve that health of the players until the end of the season. You hate being on the road and not playing for the away fans because they want to see us out there, especially defending champs. So never sits right with me, but I also understand that we have a huge goal and that is winning a championship. That was Klay Thompson speaking yesterday after practice about the news that he would be rested for certain games. Maybe it's not full throttle just yet, but as the season wears on and I get in that peak physical shape, which I'm very close to, it would be nice to plant some of those. Maybe not all of them, but a good amount. The warriors take on the kings at home tonight, then they'll have a few days off before facing the Cavaliers on Friday. "Let's talk about Joey solo pack. Now, you know Joey, you were a meteorologist, your weather guy here in the Memphis area for a very long time before switching over and doing the right thing and coming to radio. Exactly. Exactly. I knew joy for I've known Joey for over 20 years. We did not work at the same station, but I would see him at conferences. I would see him locally and he's always been professional. He's the kind of guy that will walk up and ask you and know, you know, your family's name, how they're doing. He's the kind of guy that you want in the market. So he's a good guy. Very much so. So he's a big Memphis Grizzlies fan, and of course, there was a lot going on. It was a pretty tense rivalry between the warriors and the grizzlies. And he wrote a tweet. Yes, he did. And this goes all the way back to May 7th, and this was when the grizzlies were in the second round against the Golden State Warriors and draymond green is a troublemaker on the court. He runs his mouth a lot, he'll push, he'll nudge whatever he can to get an advantage. And one of the grizzlies players had just gotten ejected for the first time that they had mouthed off to the official. Is he actually if he can be playable for fifteen to twenty minutes a night like truly playable on both ends be enough of a deterrent. Deterrent at the rim. He's not gonna be immediately at a great rim-protector a deterrent Does he is he chatterly in the right areas is he playable. Offensively can just be a good role man and actually catch passes and make an occasional short roll. Don't get some crazy ratchet. Injuries songs pretty much able to stay out the Jordan pool obviously wiggins auto kind of their top five. Six is as long as they do. Have some level of health I think they're going to be in a good position heading into the new year. Heading into two thousand twenty two so then it's time to get aggressive. And if they don't then the real questions will start to come because for the last two years have been able to to kind of pedal this plan of what we're going to win now develop now. We're gonna have to get better through the draft. There's not we can't treat these guys for bigger contracts yada yada yada sev- correspondent and mvp level again and you are a top four top five seat. You have no excuses to not improve your roster. All they play good basketball before we've seen this team do better. They have the talent. They have the ability But there's some very worrying trends. Kelly you braise floor cannot be this low. He cannot be this inconsistent. The Warriors are already behind the eight ball. They get nothing scoring from their starting power forward and their starting center. You don't want him scoring the basketball. If Draymond Green has a bunch of points, something has either gone tremendously right or, more likely, horribly wrong. So you're already behind the April?
