Wide Receivers Were the Order of the Day on Franchise Tag Day

"Today was tagged a in the National Football League. We found out stars that we're getting the franchise tag, which may preclude them from Changing teams, and we found out some players that didn't get the franchise tag. Wide receivers were the order of the day and Alan Robinson gets the franchise tag. Chris Godwin gets the franchise tag will have more on Godwin and Brady coming up in a few minutes because this is a really big deal. But now who do you go after right? Who's the number one wide receiver you go after, and The guy who was going to be the beneficiary of this. And look, we've talked about who the three best wide receivers were gonna be in free agency this year, right? You and I did this about a month ago, and it was Robinson and it was Godwin and it was Kenny Golladay. You got it? And I know that that some people are going to be a little nervous. About Golladay. Oh, he was hurt. Last year, he was on pace for his best year in 2020 until he got hurt. I am so in on Kenny Golladay. Getting hurt last year doesn't concern me. You know anytime, you miss games, whether it's zits calf or it's a hamstring. It's not that big a deal right? And it's not something where wait. There's a big injury and maybe they're not going to be as fast as they once were. It's not that big a deal. I go after Kenny Golladay because he is everything. That a team's gonna want in a wide receiver. He can be the big target in the red zone. He's someone is going to stretch the defense. He is terrific. Listen. Matthew Stafford has been blessed with good wide receivers and great wide receivers his time in Detroit before he got traded to Los Angeles and Kenny Golladay. Is that good? I mean, he's going to get paid and He's the big winner today with the other guy's getting franchised and Kenny Golladay is going to get a lot of money and rightfully so, because he is extremely talented. I love the kid. Congratulations to him. Not only will he get out of Detroit and whatever the next phase of their world is, but he's going to get a mountain of cash to do it.

"In the bucks used the franchise tag. Chris godwin a guy who was a top fifteen wide receiver on a per game basis. Last year he played only twelve games and he was stopped five year before that he was. He's been awesome for two straight seasons. Welcome to a bonus edition fantasy football today. Ademi's dave richard jamie eisenberg. So i guess it's not a huge shock but this is one wide receiver that is likely off the market unless they go the trade route. Which very unlikely with the franchise tag. Dave did you want to see. Chris godwin somewhere else. Are you happy. He's back with the bucks. I'm happy back with the bucks. Sure he if he had gone somewhere else. That would be a chance for him to get more of a target share in an offense but he might have been a worse quarterback. So i'm thrilled that the bucks are going to hang onto him one of my favorite stats from from the bucks. Twenty twenty season brady scored over thirty fantasy points in five games. Godwin was inactive for one of them. He had at least fifteen p. Pr points in the other. Four godwin also had fifteen plus. Pr points in. Brady's games with twenty nine points and twenty seven points had thirteen points in another twenty seven point game for brady. I think that there is a good connection ear that brady and godwin have developed. I think he can continue to grow. And when brady is a game and weaken anticipate those godwin. He's going to be a must start anyway but he should be expected to be useful. India fasts and a and a big time high upside. Pr machine win. Brady's matchups are amazing. It's the it's the perfect set because bruce arians slot receiver has been fantastic in almost every. Stop that he's had whether as a coordinator coach and brady as we know loves leaning on his slot receiver. You know the thing that we have to see with this bucks off. Season is is antonio brown back. We expect to be back but until officially up to see how that all unfold. So there's two key parts that are missing and then as we talked about in the. Let's not forget Oj howard knows. He can be a part of this offense as well so there's still some pieces missing. Godwin close the season on an absolute thirteen or more points in six of his final. Seven games His target share led the team in terms of the started percentage. So you know. He's got a chance to still be unbelievable. Fantasy receiver the difference this year. Compared to going into twenty twenty you had to pay a huge price to get him. He did not live up to those expectations. He had a downturn in production. Clearly but you know this is what we talk about the time if you draft guys a top five received millions of as a top fifteen receiver. You're disappointed but you shouldn't be that upset because he's still delivered more times than not and there are people who drafted him last year. Who are upset because they took him to be a wide receiver. One and i think it's the injuries that really hurt him. Obviously finished top fifteen at the position. That's pretty good..

"When did it all come together. Chris godwin the the sense of might is. Now that we're looking back on. It could have been After the first quarter of that first game against the chiefs week twelve after tyreek hill had a a quarter to remember But the way the rest of that game went into a bye week out of which you never lost again will. Is that it or was there. Another a ha moment for you and the team go where there was one one specific moment but i would say like right around that time period was when i would say things started to kinda like click right. We had like at that point. We had our backs up against the wall. And i think you know he made a good point in that. First she's game you know they got up on really fast and and the teams are good books teams of the past. You know very well would have laid down. Then just like you know like they. They got this time. You know like they're just a better team but the the fight that we had in that game to to come back and have a chance to really you know put ourselves up to to win that game and versus the defendants who both champions. I think they gave us a lot of confidence that we needed. As a as a team that had been together for the first year really You know china put it all together and then you have the bye week and then you have atlanta where we started off. You know slow again. It's literally like we're playing for our playoff lives. You know that we we treated that game and the rest of them as club games and it's like if that's the mentality you have then literally feels like winter. Go home for you and we had. We had to approach it. That with super bowl champion wide receiver pro bowler. Chris godwin here on the rich eisen show up so now it's about decisions Let's talk decisions chris. I one up If i have you have to make one choice here I give you a choice of going horseback riding devon white or tequila shots with tom. Brady which one do which one which one would you. I'm gonna go on the horseback riding my boy way. I never been on a horse. Why not let's go. Let's go ride your. But i mean you know riding. An animal is not the same as just you know. Throw him back. Avocado shots and clearly. You know there's a support system with tampa To to deal with maybe too many of those shots as we saw tun of support here for you. i think. I think we've done that. Let's give a patrol ride a little a shot. Okay let's do that now then What by the way. Great use of shot right there. Okay now let's talk about. I guess the more important decision the more life changing one in front of you free agency. How are you approaching this right now. Chris godwin really i. I really taking it day by day because like display right like it's It's out of my aunt at this point at least in terms of Until march nice right if the team decides the franchise events. Then that's what it is you know. And that's what it would be But obviously in I'm looking for some security looking. You know for an actual deal you know and i guess we'll cross that bridge get there but I love it here man. You know i love. I love the team. The city love my guys. Love going to war battle with them So i guess we'll we'll have to see how it plays out. Now i had. I had the gm on yesterday jason light. He said nothing but glowing things about you. Has there been conversation between management in your and your representation yet chris. Yeah yeah. I believe so. And i think i think those conversations will continue to overtake happen. You know i like. It's no surprise to me that that Interesting mutual on both ends but at the end of the day. We all realize that it's the business you know. And in the same way that they're gonna approach make the decision that's best for them as a as a business as an organization you know i gotta do the same thing and all of this out of respect all right and is it possible that Have you enlisted the help of somebody who Wearing the number who that you used to wear to potentially lobs in lob something in to say. Hey let's see what we can do to keep fourteen year. Anybody never spend i. I have not. But i would imagine that there have been conversations like that. You know we we all like everybody. They're like so much respect for each other and you know we had a great working relationship that You know i. I don't know if there's much lobbying happen at this point. Okay chris godwin here on the rich eisen show. Let me get into that. Actually the The the jersey stuff. Did you hear what michael pittman had to say indianapolis this week about his number eleven and carson wentz. Jiro that i heard about a little bit. Okay that might have crossed your ear gate What what did you think of that. here in for michael pittman Again he's a second year player and we also carson. Wentz is not been with the team. What did you think about him saying. I'd i'd like to keep my number eleven chris. What about that. All i i thought was You know like. I'm i'm not surprised you know not not too many guys really want to go there number And i think each situation is very different. You know. I think the situation is different from the one that i was at And that's not to say that. Either one of them is the right one. I just think that like for me. It made the most sense for me to give up my number. You know what. I mean and like just like of respect for tom for what he's done and you know open that maybe one day that will get that same respective later on down the road You know in in in my he may not think that's the way you know which is cool and also is building that carson might not want number eleven and so then it's not really story at all no. I know that. Chris apparently according to michael that that that carson reached out to ask for it and then said yeah change it anyway after being told no. It's one of those situations you know where you don't want you want something but you don't wanna make a big deal of it after the other person pro kind of forces you to maybe make a big deal of it you know and it's one of those things traffic to avoid conflict. I'm a conflict of order in real life. That's so i kind of understand that but did did. Did tom ever ask for it or did you just coughed it up chris no we. He asked lord And we had we had a. We had a really good conversation to And i think that was It was good though because that was like one of our first conversations. You know we're talking face. I'm about just a bunch of different things and and we're going over it and on and they got the it'd be it just made the most sense and you know looking back on it if You know some more. Say if you give. Tom number twelve you go with them and fourteen. Y'all want a super bowl. I do that every single time without question chris. I'm not questioning your decision. Making what so ever okay. I'm just wondering how it how it went down did something Other than the jersey exchange hands..

Tom Brady Is Back in the Super Bowl, Because of Course He Is

"Knocked off the Packers yesterday. 31 to 26 toe win the NFC Championship. This will be Tom Brady's 10th trip to the Super Bowl, but the first time as a member of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, and this is the first time that a team will have home field advantage in Their own stadium. The Bucks are hosting the Super Bowl this year, Caustic Godwin. He's got the first down in this game's over the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and Tom Brady are going to Super Bowl 55 Super Bowl 55 in Tampa, Florida just anything this is something and quite honestly, it's the most interesting matchup I could think of. I don't I don't like I'm not a Tom Brady hater. It's a lot easier for me to like him now. He's not playing for the Patriots made me realize is much more of a patriots Bella check hater than I was a Tom Brady hater. Heads double check more than breaking a absolutely, but for you know, for for Tom Brady, this is gonna be his 10th Super Bowl. So here he is. After the game last night. Here's the deal. I'm the best. There is plain simple. I mean, I wake up in the morning, please, excellence and nobody could hang with my stuff. You know, I'm just, uh there's a big, hairy American winning machine. If you ain't first you're last Big, hairy American winning machine quote from Tom Brady last night after he helped his team win the NFC. Okay, Okay. He really Here is Tom Brady discussing the historic Super Bowl to go on the road, and we're not another road playoff game. Is it just a great achievement? You know, now home Super Bowl for the first time in NFL history, I think puts a lot of cool things in perspective Anytime you the first time doing something Usually a pretty good thing. So we have what the bucks have three road wins in the playoffs, and they're now going home to play in the Super Bowl. Tampa Bay is is having the Super Bowl this year. It's crazy. It'll be a I'm looking forward to that match up in a couple weeks. What's the line right now?

Super Bowl LV: The Goat vs The Future

"Well a ref- last time. We talked to you wild card weekend with six playoff games over two days and you pretty much didn't have any time to eat or sleep this weekend. We only had two games both on sunday. So is your home. Look by comparison on a weekend like this much cleaner. I can say that and not only do i have time to eat. I have time to cook. I'm very excited. That's awesome well. Let's start with the early game. The bucks beat the packers. Thirty one to twenty six tampa bay went up twenty eight to ten in this game. What was the key for them building on this big lead. I think a lot of it's just the pressure they were able to produce the packers reduced to having lucas patrick and billy turner on their offensive line and it gets shaquille barrett and jason paul. There really isn't enough. I mean they're used to having a top three offensive line in the nfl. In fact both of those teams are and without that aaron rodgers is under pressure much more often that affected a lot of throws and of a lot more often than we typically see second and eight jerseys. Jason pierre paul. I think that was a big part of it. But also i mean as many times as tampa bay receivers willing to drop the ball. I mean they are better receivers than the packers have in that secondary in that easy pretty good secondary. A huge storyline throughout this game was also the bucks on third down conversions. What did you see from them. So well under pressure a lot of it is just the packers third down defense was just not very well designed and this has been a typical problem for mike patton and his defenses. And i think the that the buccaneers kind of organised out of their game plan around what they would expect to see on third down and so you ended up seeing like for a brief period of time. They had one hundred percent success rate on third down and like a ten percent success rate on first and second down it was kind of nuts. But yeah i think for the most part. They anticipated some blitzes. This saw man coverage they decided. Hey you know i. I think that chris godwin. Or mike evans can beat this guy and this guy was usually kevin king but they were able to win a variety of throughout the game especially on third down where i think things were just a little bit more predictable for them in the second half. Tom brady three interceptions on three consecutive possessions. Third down to brady throws it under pressure. The packers failed to convert the last two of those into any kind of points. How we're the bucks able to hold that lead after three turnovers. Some of it is the individual talent of the players that they've gotten a secondary thing. Carlton davis is really put a stamp on the nfl especially in the postseason. But he's going to be one of those rising players to watch next season that will be identifying and he's played very well but i think some of it is just to have an enormously fast defense and i think was the kind of got a feel for what the packers were attempted to do offensively. They just had a better understanding of what needed to be done. We're the players needed to be in how to hit those landmarks because they weren't really being ton of their defense. From a schematic perspective. They were just kinda getting to their landmarks. a lot. faster. Whether against the runner of the pass the defining play this game was packers coach. Matt leflore making the call to kick a field goal on fourth and goal from the eight yard. Line down by eight points with just over two minutes. Left and tom brady on the other side of that ball. Instead of going forward here on fourth and goal makes this a five point game again really surprised by that decision joe. I thought that they would go for it on fourth down a reef where you land on this decision by matt leflore not to go forward on fourth down. I think it was a really bad decision. And i think you know based off of what my twitter timeline is saying. That's fairly universal agreement. Interestingly wasn't as strong analytical decision to necessarily go for it on fourth down versus kick. And i think you take a look at some of the calculators that are out there and you know it was better to go for it than to kick it. But given the fact that they had three timeouts plus they were ahead of the two minute warning. There's a little bit more time than you. Typically anticipate so from an analytical perspective. It doesn't seem like as bad of a decision. But honestly i think that you take into account some of these situational factors like the fact that the packers have the best red zone offense. Nfl history as far back as her. Dagoes which i think goes all the way back to like. Thank you ninety. I think that plays a role. I think the fact that tom brady is on the other side of the ball with a bevy of weapons and a healthy offensive line. I think that plays a role. And i think kind of every additional bit of context that we add to this decision makes those analytical models a little bit more often favor of going for it instead of kicking that field goal because they needed to have those two scores. It just doesn't really make a lot of sense of the was

Sources: Bucs' Godwin out with broken finger

"Rick Stroud reporting that Books Wide Receiver Cris God win fractured his left index finger while making a touchdown catch on. Sunday. In Las Vegas and he required surgery on. Tuesday. So he is definitely out for Monday night's Game We know that he finished the game. So this came as a bit of a surprise. Yeah, right. So I think the question becomes here's to find your is. All right. So there are already like he's out for this week's game against the giants ripe the Monday night game against the giants understood. But in terms of long term prognosis and prognosis to find in, it's obviously hard because you're just getting this news, you have a chance to work your sources. You haven't got any details about. This about the finger, but I guess give us a range here. What's what's the best case and worst case scenario here for those that have God went on a roster well, the fact that he required surgery for fracture meant that they needed to realign it properly and often there's hardware involved. So it's really a question of number one getting the wound healed, and then what can the player do And how soon can he do it and that is a huge wide range, and as you said, without detail on the location of the break or the extent of the work they had to do it's hard to give any clear idea. I will note though that Rick Stroud himself when reporting this said depending how heels he could potentially return for the week nine game. So it sounds like they're optimistic. He could potentially return, of course beyond the safety parameters, post-surgery et CETERA. There's also the issue whenever comes to a running back or receiver with a hand injury. Can you be effective playing? Can you control the ball? Can you catch the ball effectively? Those will all be questions that have to be answered before he can return right

Interview with Sue Armstrong

"This is monocle reads on Georgina Godwin, and today I'm speaking to sue Armstrong Science writer broadcaster and a foreign correspondent. He's worked everywhere from Brussels to South Africa. She's been a consultant writer for the World Health Organization for more than twenty five years and written extensively on all areas of health and science. Her latest book is borrowed time the Science of how and why we age. Sue Welcome to the program. Thank you very much and be with you if we could start with a really basic question what is aging? You say it's a really basic question. It's a very good question but I mean, that's it's really difficult to know because there lots of different definitions and they keep changing over the years. Very interesting. Actually some people say, Oh, it's dying from the inside out some people say it's genetically driven. Some people say it's just wear and tear some people actually even go far as to say aging is a disease and I remember the first time I heard somebody say that I wrote my eyes and thought. Oh goodness. It's like everything else like birth and things like that. The scientists are coming in and medicalising the whole thing. But in fact, I came round to seeing their point of view on that to quite an extent by the end of my interviewing and so on. But basically, it happens to all of us but one of the great mysteries of aging is the fact that you look at a whole range of different species in so many different lifespans including some creatures. which seemed to be almost immortal things like that it'll hydra that we used to find when in pond water and look at under the microscope and sort of early biology lessons and so on. I'm to be almost immortal. So it's to a great extent. It's a mystery and there are still quite a number of different theories of what exactly it is. So let's look at the impact that it has on the body and the diseases that is ultimately responsible for. Yes I think going back to this whole question about what is aging. This also comes down to the diseases I think the definition that's most or the explanation that's most widely accepted at the moment is one called. The disposable Soma theory, which basically translates into ordinary language as built in obsolescence, and how it works is this that it takes an awful lot of energy and resources to build and maintain a body such as and in the end nature doesn't care about US individuals are tall nature. Whole purpose is to ensure the survival of the species, not us as individuals, and so most of the effort goes into ensuring that our Jones sells the sperm and the are immortal and can get passed on from one generation to the next and our bodies nature's invested in the sort of. Mechanisms for repair and maintenance to keep us going to we've grown up being able to pass on our genes and bring up the next generation nurture the next generation to it's on its feet, and then after that may Chazan got too much use for us and the repair mechanisms in our body, which is I say are extremely expensive in terms of resources and so on. Resources would have been very difficult to come by in our earliest for our earliest ancestors, those sort of rundown, and it is the gradual loss of maintenance inefficiency of maintenance and repair that seems to be at the root of aging. So now, a lot of the research seems to be lumped in with pseudoscience, snake oil cosmetics, and so on. Why do you think that is? Well I think. That's been a terrible problem for Gerontology, the actual science of aging because it is lumped in and it's got to be stigmatized by the snake oil salesman and saw and I think very basic this since time immemorial I mean, if you look back over centuries, people have always wanted to find the Elixir of youth and I think to a certain extent. It's that life is so rich and sweet. That people can't bear the idea of dying and a also as a as a species. We're fairly arrogant. We don't like to think that we are awful and I think it's it's been the search for immortality. This has given the Gerontology a bad name and you know it's it's really it's really a very sad because aging is massively important because you were just asking a minute ago about the diseases. Of Aging, and as I said earlier, there's some people actually call aging itself disease, and this is because the diseases that we know that we recognize very much age related things like heart disease and dementia and cancers, and diabetes, and strokes, and frailty the single biggest risk factor for all of these these diseases that we recognize very much as diseases voltage is the aging process itself. It's literally sort of. Wearing away of the body that gives rise to these diseases, and so you could save the diseases of old age are in a way just the sort of points on a spectrum, the most the most obvious and severe points on a spectrum of what is a generally debilitating and pathological process, which is the aging process.

"When the deal was first being debated we had on board member Mike Godwin who is also famous for a bunch of other stuff which involving his name. We had him on to debate the rationale for the deal and at the time and still to this day. I felt someone uncomfortable with the deal but felt that Mike Godwin raised a bunch of very good points on the other side about why the deal was perhaps. Not as bad as I thought Now that the sale has been blot. I'm having Godwin returned to the podcast to discuss something of a postmortem of what happened. And what what is going to happen going forward so Mike. Welcome back to the PODCAST. Hi I'm glad to be here and I'm certainly glad that I don't have to defend a deal. That is now no longer could so I think we can. Do you know we can definitely do. You know post game analysis you know and really understand you know what what could have gone better. And what didn't go well. I know we've covered a lot of this when we last spoke about it. But I'm happy to drill down. And by the way the the the deal was terminated the deal was terminated between ethos capital and Izhak was terminated mutually. So we're both both parties are pretty free to talk about it. I under the terms of the deal. So that's good. I feel a little bit. You liberated to be able to answer any questions that I actually know the answer to well. That's good frankly. Because sometimes these things come with sort of gag clauses and gagged. We're gagged. Well that's good so I mean. Can you just describe at least from your point of view like what what happened and described the basics and cancer stepped in and said they would effectively blocked the deal? But but from your perspective. What is it that went down? Well I think really a two things happened And maybe personal. Let me lay the background a little bit. Which is that when I can. You lifted the price caps for DOT ORG and renegotiating its contract Or Dot Org That really that really poison the atmosphere and made a lot of the DOT. Or we're really made. I think most of the DOT ORG activists community alert. You know that something bad may be happening. Any minute. Bran and so We you know we were aware of that. But we also knew that I can at least theoretically was in a position to correct any thing that any future holder of the dot org top level domain did. Because it's a matter of a contract with I can. I can do all sorts of if it really wants to that's And this is a view that I it turns out. Eff shared with me As it turned out but I think that when you and I did our podcast We did talk about the price increases but the price in the the the lifted. There was no price increase and committed to stable predictable. low level price increases over a ten year period or eight years. I forget how many years it was but I think that A lot of people were concerned about pricing. Initially and some people argued that the lifting of price caps is. What made this a valuable property for exploitation by private capital in my view. None of that was true. It was always the case that the reliable returns associated with running the business. Pretty much the way it has been run over. The last nearly two decades was was the was the value proposition for. So can I just push back a little bit and and that that may be true but but to some extent? Doesn't that contradict with the claims that you were making one of the reasons for the sale? Was that you were concerned about the future. Prospects of the DOT org domain in the world was changing and that as it stands right now. Pr is sort of A funding source for Izhak. And all the good work. That Izhak does and you were concerned. That relying on that was was dangerous and yet here. You're kind of saying that that same sort of you know.

"Evans and Godwin are you know these these are these are the guys that are going to help extend Brady because it's not about Brady suddenly becoming a great quarterback again it's gonna be kinda like can he slow his descent and off because of these weapons around him it's not gonna be somebody I'm back to being the great player was because like clearly we talked about he can't throw down feel like used to be able to just not something you can do and he's not quite the quarterback he was even a couple years ago so it's not about saying well now the food was great weapons look how great I am it's not going to be quite Peyton manning where we now I'm on a really good too but look what I can do in this in this mile I err it's going to be can I slow the descent enough to still be really good for the next couple years and I can have a bounce back year from where I was which was middle to lower two thirds of the pack this year back up to maybe the top third of the pack in the National Football League can I can I do enough there and that's what I'm looking for because that's lovely he's got to be great all look it looks like the same guy no it's going to be well can these weapons now better than he's had in New England for a long time can they suddenly slow that dissent and he's not gonna turn the ball over is not going through intersections and and this becomes a boxing that realizes its potential and Brady can stay ugh starting quarterback and a good one for a couple years having defense very young we talk about all the weapons on offense including our great Ronald Jones R. A. out of the backfield so you got a team that is ready to play I remember they lost six of their nine games by seven or fewer points last year and in those games nine interceptions by James went to the other three games while he was a good there were another twelve interceptions in those three losses by more than seven points by Tom Brady's not going to turn the ball over it's on offense of line that's the one question make sure that they're short out because that was something that became an issue because you couldn't get separation from receivers not making excuses go back and watch state be still was four thousand yards and three touchdowns per pack there's still something that can be cold from all this and you've got the big weapons that'll go up and get it right Mike Evans one on one I like my chances Godwin work at the scene working outside he's a guy I like my chances and now he'll teach O. J. Howard to catch the football good things they they definitely have enough to the point where Brady doesn't have to worry about bringing his talents all stars because we thought that could be it well wherever Brady goes he's gonna bring some guys would worry when your browner rock out of retirement whatever the rumor the day was but you know there be people would want to go play with Brady you don't really need to now you know it was doctor Jay Glazer said you know Antonio brown clearly a non starter yes Gronkowski is go you won't watch him on SmackDown Friday night we'll watch it live on E. and Goldberger slated to be part of the SmackDown on fox I'm workings this bet this weekend as we get closer to WrestleMania which will go on in a mutated form but we'll get to that as we roll through but yes certainly the the opportunity is there with Bruce Arians to have some fun and really working offense and have a new drinking buddy and it investment body so we'll see how.

"You know the fact that that I can make some move against most of the comments that enables calls there to to to to create much more potentially much more profit for Whoever is running the dot org domain and then right after that so that you know in a sense like the move by can clearly boost the value of PR because it opens up the possibility of making more profit and then a few months later suddenly? So you know whether or not there are deals in the past that Izhak rejected You know that move alone boosted the value of PR and so that looks sketchy and it feels. Feels sketchy right so let just let me say at the outset of this. You know. I've now experienced a few months of having people second. Guess what we must have been thinking Internet. Assuming the worst so I I. I have a lot of sympathy in that kind kind of at least narrow respect with I can because I have a similar negative impression about cancer. moving the half the price caps But the basically the interest in purchasing PR predates that. And and I am so that's one piece of it but then the second thing is did we get a lot more money because they can really take the lid off and Jack up the prices cases of renewal and I think that that's wrong I mean it may be counterintuitive but the reason. I think it's wrong. Is that if you look at the financials year over year for PR. The renewals are the thing that makes the money. And so you oh you know this is economics one one where you now that if you pry if you raise the prices for anything for which the demand is not totally early inelastic you're gonNA fall off shore so so you know you know for example Melk at the grocery store you know you can increase. He's by ten or twenty percent of the people who need milk will still lean mouth but if you increase it by fifty or two hundred percent then people start thinking about what are my other choices besides melts. Sure are you know but I mean domains are not exactly like milk right. I mean you do have an element of lock in there right. which is that you know once? You've established alisher domain. Once you've established brand behind it the ability to just switch domains because someone jacks up. The price of renewal is a lot harder it can beat done and there may be a few cases where it has been done but it seems pretty rare because you lose a lot of benefit you lose the branding benefit you lose the google benefit you know you lose is the benefit and so there is element of lock in that that for everyone who has those domains it is kind of hard to give it up google benefit because you know how I when I look up Electron Frontier Foundation. I don't just look up the DOT org versions. Look you know Google or any other. Search Zhijun will absolutely find the resource that I'm looking for whether I add to it or not eventually but there are stories of people changing domains. Where where there is there is is a period of adjustment and and you know that that can certainly and in fact there are also cases where you know I I've seen where like Google might get confused because there's two different domains and the things copying the other and it could punish them and so there are there are all sorts of issues there where it's and plus it's just like you know technically there's there's there's there's work involved and there's broken links and things that need to be adjusted it is not? It is not so easy as saying. I'm not going to buy milk. I'm going to buy almond milk. Often offers of Auburn milk is a really bad choice. Secondly secondly I you know the way I originally thought when I would hear this theory was for I I I wanNA pass globally over the fact that if that if the new Registry Operating Dot Org chose rose to do some crazy jacking up prices on renewables that that would be hugely disruptive. I I agree about that. But here's the thing the owners I believe agree about that too. And they're good economic reasons to think.

Dr. David Chao talks injuries

"Dr Child always good to have you aboard for the show. Thanks for having me. So when we look at some of the injuries that kind of flakes of the skill position talents We had a big one again in Tampa and it seems to be history repeating itself last week we talked about Mike Evans. His hamstring hamstring the season ending scenario. That played out there. Lo and behold Chris Godwin goes down with what looked like a similar injury last. We saw him carted off in the tunnel in Detroit. Coincidence there is there something going on in Tampa as it pertains to their wideouts in their hamstrings as we get into the tail end of the season they run them ragged and they throw the ball lot. That's probably the only Only Lincoln Yeah and if you really WANNA go conspiracy theory Mike Evans last week. You Scott Miller Another wide receiver earlier in the game in Chris Godwin in early in the season Perriman had a hamstring issue. So if you really trying to go that way but I think it's just coincidence and maybe some of it is They're still slinging the ball around quite a bit Four hundred fifty yards for James Winston This week so so they were running a lot of routes and so forth as we talked about Mike Evans Hamstring with significant and with only three games left. We thought you and I are candidate. I think the same something's GonNa fall for for Chris Godwin here. You know there's only two weeks left there the bucks out of it The hamstring is probably going to be longer than that and he's probably headed into reserve so What does that mean I mean? Had you know from a fantasy site look for paramount. Because Winston's going to have to you. Who else is left? That's a blow. Be still my heart God. What has been the Horse Dr John? That's gotten me in the fantasy. Football finals beat up on her. Dear friend Clay Travis this past past week and in a massive showdown GonNa help that somebody else on my rosters able to step up and fill that void pain savior jokes. Because I know you're gonNA take cheap shots I'm not at all I'm not at all actually gonNA transition to another wide receiver with Adam Phelan. There was talks that he wasn't going to return until he was one hundred percent. Healthy Limited. Snap count this past against the chargers. What do you think that was maybe score or Israel setback therefore Adam feeling well? I think it's a original part of the plan in preparation. Maybe the seven snaps were only because of because of the score but he was never gonNA play fifty Think about it this way first of all if you look Ah. The history of what happened with Phelan was supposed to be a minor hamstring. You played it. Two weeks aggravated missed. Many more weeks. Try to come back to fast in in Practice aggravated again. So they've been burned twice with aggravation. Do you think they were GonNa be burned a third time when next week. They have the Monday night game against against the packers which is for the division and then even the week seventeen game against the division rival bears. This were the LA chargers not that you look past with them. But I don't care who it was only made medical sense to bring him back a little more slowly this type give them a few game raps so that he can and be good to go for the packers. I think you'll see. EEOC normal reps against the packers next week but there was no way he's going to see normal routes this week and so even when Schefter after said he was going to play and be fine. I never thought he would. But you know we all know coachspeak right. It's just another example of coachspeak another guy that's critical to the Vikings offensive successes. Delvin Cook suffered another shoulder. Injury couldn't return against the chargers. Obviously you mentioned the importance of the Monday night. Game against the packers will Delvin Cook play and if so how effective can you be. Well here's a good news. Bad News Bad news is he got hurt again and you didn't finish the game the bad news. It's actually a new injury and that's also the good news it's a new injury if it were the SC join again the right Septa. You'd have to say. Even when he plays against the packers he's one hit one play from being out against. This seems to be something to his left shoulder by video. I can't tell you exactly what it is. There's which sometimes good news because if he dislocated I could tell you. I don't think that's the case. I can't tell you exactly what he has. But it's new to the left shoulder and I think there is okay. Good chance I would expect that he will play and be good to go against the packers And I think that's part of where they said Look L.. Let us live to fight another day Dalvin and rest the rest of the game here in terms of feeling like they have a game in hand out in Los Angeles makes percents with a capable fill in like Mike. Boone had two touchdowns he actually had the second highest sparks score among running backs in two thousand eighteen draft only behind saquon so hard running running in athletic last Vikings Guy One ask you about. That's crucial to the defense's cornerback. Xavier Rhodes went into the chargers game with an ankle. Injury already played through it left left with what appeared to be a calf injury. Does he have a shot to play against Green Bay it's GonNa be hard Calf injuries linger CT Way Hilton. And uh-huh this even though he was GonNa want to at the quarterback position. It's pretty hard to break in driving the ball. If you don't have your staff there then you add the lingering ankle. I mean when you talk about multiple injuries and one of them being calf especially the positioning place as optimistic as I am on Dow Cook able to go. I'm not pessimistic and league's exist your roads being able to go last one. I want to ask you about beforehand it back to todd. The timeline probably doesn't work if it's a high ankle sprain but The seasons on the Line Right Philadelphia Dallas does lane. Johnson have a chance to play this week. I think he does first of all learning clean. Johnson Yasser Heikal Spring He might get some pre-game quote acupuncture to play area. I mean it's it's that big give a game and the other thing is he. You know Yes he's a tackle so he's a little more in space and I can guard. But but certainly it's easier to for a Lineman Wiedeman an offensive lineman to play through high ankle than some other skill position. So I think he's GonNa try everything you can to go. The question is If he can royal factor if you will be I think you're GONNA try all hands on deck type game coming up Sunday for the division and I know a lot of our board listeners Dr Chow who have been writing this Eagles Eagles train with the division future since the beginning of the season. So we'll all sit with wait and wait with bated breath as they go into that one against maybe resurgent cowboys team is short home underdogs but but before we get there. We do have a Monday night. Football game and clearly. The biggest injury around this contest is with. Ty held a lot of optimism through colts camp but you look through some of the lingering signs for T. Y.. Hilton this calf injury. Do you expect him to be able to give it a go tonight. And if if even tries how effective do you believe. He can be out there as a viable deep throat against the Saints Defense. Well you know. There's there's there's two two thoughts here the he will play thought and he won't play thought if you go by what the head coach says and very fulmer to him. Even Situation Frank Reich is if he plays on Monday. We'll be at one hundred percent. I E not playing short of a hundred percent. Well if that is actually true. He's not playing period. There's no way that cafeteria one hundred percent is lingered this long another couple of days. He's been full practice all all week and other days isn't GonNa Change Anything. There's no way he's hundred hundred percent for tonight's game. So we're going to stick to what Frank Reich really sad. Ty He's already told US T Y Hilton's not playing but we all know coachspeak and we all know this is. The colts is kind of last chance. They kind of have to win to stay in it to have any chance to stay in it so That may push what t y Hilton does and you may try. Try and go always interesting to see these guys and who's able to gut it out. As it becomes a war of attrition at this point in the season especially with playoff berths hanging in the balance team saw hang on for dear life in their respective conferences. You can follow Dr David Show on twitter at pro football doc like we say every week the single best source for injury information not only for your sports gambling but for those fantasy football ball championships. That are coming up. He's got a great podcast. Delve sometimes a little bit deeper into a lot of the injury information. Dr Chow. Can't thank you enough for your time. Although I'm going to have to cry before we continue the rest of this podcast with pain now. Knowing Chris Godden won't be available for me to go out there and win a title sort of your that gets into. Thanks as always Dr

"It can't believe I'm going to say this. Your genius well well. You welcome I kind of am. We're on the ten minutes. Maybe we should get that. Kleenex out of your nose this weeks out of shifter podcast. It's week three of the NFL season. We're going to talk to former. NFL Wide Receiver Torrey Smith who just announced his retirement from the NFL and we'll be joined by the Tampa Bay buccaneers wide receiver Cris Godwin whose off to a toward start two weeks into the year end will get a breakdown of week three from the ESPN statistics and Analytics Guru Evan Kaplan but I a word about the week that was and what's going on in the league the last few days it started week two when we saw to marquis franchises this is the steelers and the saints lose to Future Hall of fame quarterbacks and Ben Rothlisberger and drew brees changed the fortunes thousands of the season for both teams in the case of Pittsburgh with Ben Rothlisberger gone for the year it makes you think that Baltimore becomes the heavy favorite to win the AFC north and we'll have to fend off a challenge from the Cleveland browns though it a bit to Mason Rudolph the man who takes over for Ben Rothlisberger her to keep Pittsburgh's hopes alive and of course Pittsburgh must have strong hopes because it already traded its first round pick to the Miami Dolphins for Minka Fitzpatrick. A quarterback drew an awful lot of interest around league but Pittsburgh feels like with its defense improving Minka Fitz Patrick will upgrade that defense and make it better and Pittsburgh's got the one with some defense now not Ben Rothlisberger offense and think about this a year two years years ago the steelers were led by Ben Rothlisberger Antonio Brown living on Bell. None of them will play for Pittsburgh the remainder under of this season as for the New Orleans Saints drew brees think about US close the saints wore to making it to the Super Bowl last year one call that everybody everybody knows about from the NFC championship game that went against the saints and for the Rams cost them an appearance in the Super Bowl where they would have had a chance to beat the New England patriots and the fact that drew brees then goes out and hurts his thumb in week to the next year shows you just how tough this year to year to repeat and to count on being back to that big. Nobody goes back every year. Unless you're the New England patriots they are immune to all rules but the saints were on the doorstep doorstep of greatness in each of the past two postseasons only to see the Minnesota miracle and then the call that changed the way that the league views those types of plays with new rules saints drew brees now after turn Teddy Bridgewater who's a steadying force but I think ASEM hill still brings the most upside and I still think we'll see tastes him hill at quarterback at some point for the New Orleans Saints and then some of the doors quarterbacks and news we mentioned Minkah Fitzpatrick being traded to Pittsburgh Berg Miami Gutting. It's team stockpiling draft picks five number one picks and second round picks in the next two years loaded with picks but devoid of some key players like Laremy Tunsil on so and make a fitzpatrick as four Jalen Ramsey requested his trade spoken. Clearly Jacksonville wants to move on from him and he wants to move on from Jacksonville but Jacksonville not gonNA move on from Jalen Ramsey until it gets a package that it wants that it's comfortable with and it thinks fair and we we know that it's way more than a first round pick which is basically the price that the steelers paid for Minkah Fitzpatrick. We'll see what Jacksonville could get back for Jalen Ramsey but the trade deadline's October twenty ninth and it's just a matter of time before Jalen Ramsey is dealt and then the news of course on Tuesday morning the New York giants benching Eli he Li- manning a two time superbowl champion two time superbowl MVP to go to Dangle Jones the rookie first round draft pick and everybody knew that at some point this season. Dangle Jones was going to get the opportunity to start but nobody thought it would be Tuesday September seventeenth which was a much quicker timeline than anyone would have thought that the giants felt like a team that was missing wide receivers struggling on defense needed a a injection of energy feel like Daniel Jones brings certain elements that ally manning doesn't and so alive manning now goes to the bench and the the madness of the NFL continues and you look at the last month all the news that has happened Andrew Luck retiring Antonio Brown with everything anything that's gone on with him from Oakland to New England to the accusations of three different sexual assaults to the player trades trades that we've seen a devon clouded to Seattle Laremy Tunsil to Houston Minka Fitzpatrick to the Pittsburgh steelers to the injuries of quarterback quarterbacks to the benching of quarterbacks. It has been about as busy period is the NFL could ever expect over the course of one month very rarely is the NFL that busy. We're busy today with this. PODCAST and first up is the great man and former. NFL Wide Receiver Torrey Smith are joining us now is a man who played eight NFL seasons for the Ravens to with the forty niners one with the panthers at the Eagles and posted his retirement video video on uninterrupted last Friday Torrey Smith Tori. Thanks for taking the time really appreciate it and I'd like to know what went into the decision vision to walk away from the game of football at the age of thirty for me. La Basically shut down and like we stood on why but it wasn't right I wasn't able to dog I wasn't able to for sure wasn't able to sprint jump anything and so work my tail off and I was able to make it back for camp in healthy enough to play and I know I like I said I work myself back in but during the offseason I learned that you know like it was kind of an eye opener to me when I'm supposed to be healthy be but like I couldn't go play. My Kids and you know my son's five. We want to go outside and play and I couldn't do it. get my daughter out of credit my Naser her and then it Kinda like a little flash of light. You know you have some knee issues down the line and I kinda started thinking a little bit beyond the game like is it worth it is not and so I was willing to you know take a role in Carolina to finish up here and play here. I wanted to say I did and then yeah when I was released. it just didn't make as much sense to to move into a new place. How concerned are you about the long term effects of what you put your body through not just the NFL seasons but the time you played in college and the time he played in high school and how that will impact your future life. I think something has to be concerned about when you watch the dog guys who play before the older guys and you know some people struggle. Hello and some people are doing perfectly fine so. I don't try to love everything in in one basket but you know I've been. I've been running media. You know planning for a while so I understand that you know things can happen to your body. down the line because of the things you do when you were younger and that's is if you're an athlete or not so. I don't really kind of put that on the box you know having a trauma to my to my knee. I do know that you know there's GonNa me some issues there down the line but I'm happy that I'm you know I'm in okay. Oh now and I don't see anything in the near future. That should probably stop me from at leaves me comfortable you mentioned some people struggle and some people are fine post football ever stop to think why that is because it's amazing to think some people have gotten beaten up during their careers and I see them functioning at a high level and others are limping along and struggling physically post football and I just think it's simply everyone's bodies different everyone's by having everyone gets all caught up in c. t. and always other things but like the guys who had plenty of concussions whenever plan and there's absolutely nothing wrong with them as aging adults so the body is different and I think we we all need to realize that and one person's situation you use for current players right one person might tweak a hamstring and he's offer sake seven weeks and people are like what's wrong with this do like you know coaches players and everyone was what's wrong with them but everyone's body is different and that's probably one of the biggest things. I learned from. This game is that everyone's bodies different. Everyone hills different. Everyone handles conditioning different. Everyone's wins different so you just for me. It's better to be informed and to know what's out there. So therefore I know that look for the signs I know how to be more for you know preventive of being out in front of things and that just makes more sense to me in the video that you posted you thanked the game of football ball for showing you how to be a man. How did football show you how to be a mandatory. Yeah you'd think about I think about all of the the discipline hardware sacrificed putting someone before myself. you know all of these things are really like life skills that you have to have and you learn simply by being dedicated to the game of football and more than that having the men around me that I could look at that. I could see you know what a mansard look like what a man should be like what a husband should be. What father should be like. These are all things that wouldn't have happened for me if it wasn't for the game of football so I'm definitely grateful for that and the impact that the game James Not only my life would would you know literally everyone that's around the and the way I grew up on. It's amazing that you know about planned. Game has been able to change the future for media. Fan and I guess that's in the obvious ways right financially. You are able to do things that you were never able to do while you were growing up. Is that correct. Ori Absolutely financially but because of finances are removed There's opportunity there you know. I had to play play a sport because I knew my mom couldn't pay for college so I got this way. There's military you know I was going to student loan debt which as a scam but you know for me. I like my son. Maybe chooses my boys and my daughter. They choose the doing the extracurricular activities they can do because they want to not because they need it as a tool to get out They don't have to worry about nothing stable. They don't have to worry about moving moving living being in the shelter. Whatever may be they don't have to worry about a lot of different things than simply having stability eliminate so many other things that we often forget about. Did you feel the pressure of having to get a scholarship as you're going through high school. Oh absolutely I mean that's just the that's just the way it is. you know you ah any and every kid that you know they're trying to make your food your mom. Your parents were living with on macy. food on the table bare necessities for life and you know it'd be a talk because when you're just trying when you're surviving that way to try to go out and get the school paid for by your parents so for me. I knew my mom couldn't do it not that. She didn't WanNa do it but you know it just wasn't feasible so I knew I had to go. Aren't it and again for me. It was that or through the military I didn't WanNa have any debt so if you hadn't gotten the scholarship what what branch of the.

Robert Mugabe will have private burial at national Heroes' Acre

"Last week's death of former former Zimbabwean tyrant Robert Mugabe at the age of ninety five presented his country with a problem if from the worst problem with which Mugabe presented Zimbabwe during he's later decades of deranged misrule. How does one commemorate the passing of a figure who was both hero and villain in Mugabe's case indeed both with the founder and destroyer of his nation after an amount of agonizing it has now been decided that Mugabe will be interred in the National Heroes Acre in Harare Laura a public memorial ceremony will be held on Sunday one joined in the studio with more on this bond monocle twenty regular Georgina Godwin Georgina as our listeners are probably aware you are yourself Zimbabwean and I remember we spoke at the time of Mugabe's removal by coup data at how we had that atwells that he was no longer enough and what an I guess a big mental adjustment that was for generations of Zimbabweans. How are we is it adjusting to the fact that he's no longer here at all. You know I think people feel slightly cheated in a way that he went out really with a bit of a whimper not a bang that we and indeed he probably expected and he's no longer there but I gather that in his last few months. He wasn't all there mentally anyway. If you look at the photograph few months well I I mean from when he started wearing you know dribbles and chuck suits but and obviously as you point out his his last years were were he was in the grip of definitely something probably dementia but for him to be dead is something that's quite odd because what you're seeing in Zimbabwe's as you alluded to is people wanting still to hate him but also really wanting to acknowledge the role that he played in in in the formations the country and say so there's quite a lot of them big dichotomy between how people feel because us as I think we discussed at the time if Mugabe is say had sort of cheerfully stepped down from office circa the late eighties and sort of idled into a retirement of giving elections and writing books he would be regarded as one of the twentieth century's heroic figures wouldn't they completely and utterly and he would have got a hero's funeral. Oh hang on the funeral which does prompt the question though that who who turns up for Mugabe's Hero's funeral thousands of people have been attending the lying in state. At referrers stadium in Harari who still is Mugabe's constituency well at the formal proceedings. You'll have a lot of heads of state state. I think Cyril Ramaphosa is coming from South Africa and various other people from from around the continent impacts further afield but in terms of ordinary people what generally happens in in in situations like this is that people have Boston and their promised food and those are the two things that people have that they don't have any fuel in Zimbabwe so they wouldn't be able to get there by themselves. They don't have the money money for bus fare and they're desperate to eat so if you promise people all of that they will turn up much. I mean I'm sympathetic to an extent extent or to this extent with the current Zimbabwean government. You have to acknowledge his passing some how you have to do something if not not what is being done what other suggestions have people made there was an argument of course to whether he should be buried in National Heroes Acre. But where else would you put him well. He is family. It appeared wanted him buried in his home area of Qatar which is where he comes from and I think would have been one way around it but it appears that the government was really pushing to have him in heroes. Acre which apparently he had not wanted himself. There was another really interesting piece of not not legislation but something else he put in his will. I think which was that his wife Grace Mugabe was to stay with the casket at all times until he was buried therefore what he's doing doing that is guaranteeing her starring role in his final Hurrah. Do you get the sense that the current government and we should remind ourselves that the current President Emmerson Mnangagwa was for many years Zimbabwe's Robert Mugabe's kind of conciliatory if you will are they trying to reanimate the myth of Mugabe the liberator to to their own ends. I think that that would certainly serve a purpose that the end but I mean at the same time time. Mugabe's very useful is somebody that you can up lay all the blame on and say look it wasn't us it was the previous guy where clean we're going forward and of course that's what the what Managua A and his cronies would like us to think that this is a completely new dispensation. It really isn't make no mistake.

"Okay. So the consumer electronic association is holding its annual showcase in Las fake. Yes. They are. We're seeing cars. Cars we're seeing it's the number one show for Vegas Wellesley for innovation. Absolutely. One. Have to Chicago in Las Vegas, Chicago. And boy was fabulous. Yeah. Unbelievable. Go to this. Okay. So. Here's the story. They this past fall in October. They awarded the Consumer Electronics Show innovation award in the robotics category. To the os o s e massager created by a startup company and then a month later. At the end of November. Consumer electronics association took back the award claiming that the hosts massager was immoral and obscene and looking at a picture of it. Okay. That it's also indecent and profane. And it's this woman who started it up called. Sure name is Laura decarlo. And it is. She's appealing the decision. She says, it's a double standard, it's cost her her startup investors. And the E spokeswoman said this product doesn't fit into any of our existing product categories and should not have been accepted for the innovations awards program. Why we've communicated this to the CEO we've apologized to the company for our mistake. And they sent her a letter in November saying, we're very sorry. We got this far into the awards process and wish we'd been made aware earlier that your product was in eligible for entry in the robotics. And drones category. We made an error, and we should never warded you the innovation prize. And what did they think it was what why is it an error? Why? Okay. Well, this is Laura said in a post yesterday, why is the Consumer Electronics Show? Threatened by empowered women and the products that empower them because. She says it is because her owes massager is for the pleasure of women. And that they they have no problem having pornographic electronic products available for guys such as Noddy, America's virtual reality porn product. And the real doll which was profiled there the hands on sex, but for for guys, and she says, they have a long documented history of gender bias sexism, and double standards, and here's what it is. Here's how the product is described. It is a is a tool to give a hands-free blended orgasm by using Advanced Micro robotics to mimic a human partner. I am looking at it. I don't understand why. This is a problem the lady the woman who invented it says, we're doing something that's never been four done before we're making it's the holy grail of orgasms the blended orgasm 'cause it's a hands free device and the entire female team of engineers developed micro robotic technology that mimics all the sensations of a partner right for an experience that feels like a real partner. I mean, I'm intrigued and. Wondering if those massages available for sale and why why are they taking back? Well, it's it's really it's immoral and obscene. I mean that does seems a little harsh that's a little harsh, and they were going crazy for it at first and just like any kind of a hand massage massage anything. Massage. You're right now my hand just rubbermaid shoulder. No any massage or you can use it you Godwin anywhere lower. And I started making whimpering sounds in new not turn off my microphone if I ever get one of those. We would kick you out of the room because we would know I know one hundred percents waterproof. Yes. Also, it is not available Laurie sale. That may not be available until the fall of this year. Because there's the woman the start at the woman is saying that are and I remember just from we tried to get money for angel investors for different range of products for body perks disturb nipple enhancing, but keep the kiddy pretty in all kinds of other things, and we would go and do these pitchers to angel investors. And the guys would just look at us with blank looks on their. And we kept trying to find women with money might be interested in invading 'cause they would have gotten. Why saying the y you know, I have a really anyway. So it's it's like the first scandal that I've ever followed. That's actually happened at the Consumer

subject of a size of warrants it ends fantastic let's roll the clip thanks for joining us thanks for having Jack so the Washington Post is you know has reported that last year the FBI went to a FIS adjudged argued successfully that there was probable cause to believe that you were acting as an agent for a foreign government so my question is were you stop listen you don't go on Jake tapper when you're the subject of an ongoing probe into whether or not you're an agent for the Russian government the subject of a FIS award who is telling this person to go on television hang hang on but I would imagine that to say you don't do that unless you have a super good Sir okay right so you're probably just I'll bet he has a really good answer thank you I shouldn't judge ahead look in Ho charismatic yes you really do we know what to see this face on television every day of our lives yes we do I generally always feel bad for him something fun let's see let's see he's coming on Jake Tapper off the air I got this after give this answer no one will accuse me being rushing through it I talked to my lawyer sentence to make clear what's going okay here we go of course I wasn't jake this is just such a joke that it's beyond words and what's interesting about it is March Twentieth Director Komi he made the point that people people can lie to the press people can lie to the American public all they want in politics what's interesting about last night's report is if it's true well there's a different standard when it comes to evidence in court so all of these false evidence that you've been hearing about my south with the dodgy dossier and other false reports going back through most last summer well that will that will have very different than implication so this is a real the game changer true I just had to say dodgy dossier brandon basically says he says like now this is not true and then brings up of his own accord all of the things that are suspicious about it he brings up jake tapper didn't bring up the dossier jake tapper and bring up the all these keeps going like all of the stuff you've heard about all that stuff that's nothing that's all these guys my trip to Russia many undocumented conversation my appearance in a dossier that's been verified by several sources about which Russia investigated and killed anyone associated with it all of these things are just absurd there's also a lot of focus on this trip he took to Russia last July you met with Russian academics you've said you also met with people in the business community amy with anyone in the Russian government or connected Russian intelligence tied said hello briefly to one individual it's a board member of the the new economic squall where I gave my speech and in any of these conversations Russians either in in Russia or back here in the United States did you ever suggested any give them that president trump or candidate trump would be open to easing sanctions on Russia absolutely not never not once I never offered that note aw positive way wait absolutely not I never offered that sounds like he's not sure if you talked about sanctions with a Russian spy And then weaken the platform of the Republican Party during the nominee version that he works for if a rushing brings it up on his own. Your you how you're going to be rude if you just say like I don't WanNa talk about those guys don't wear name Tags I mean it may topics I don't remember what we'll see what comes out in this Biza that's the craziest that's the the moment he went on talk shows and was like look him I spy no I mean let's let's find the FIFA transcripts that were think I'll be vindicated by the warrant for my arrest literally and also again no one is making him go on George Stephanopoulos there's no rule that says when you get a Pfizer warrant because you're a spy you have to go on the morning shows you specific vindicated by the FIFA transcripts and then they went here the fights transcripts they say you're a spy and he's like guilty as church that's the only way this could have been proved intimate anything but it sounds like from what you're saying it's possible that you may discuss the easing of sanctions something may have come up in a conversation I have no recollection yeah and there is nothing specifically that I would have done that would have given people that impression that you can't say without without equivocation that you didn't discuss easing sanctions someone may have brought it up I have no recollection and if it was it was not something I've is that someone was asking for any conversations about those emails that were stolen from the from the Clinton campaign any conversations about that not a word stop let's leave it there again just a simple thing if someone asks you if you talked about easing sanctions and you say who can say I don't remember you gotta stick with that for the other questions that follow if then it says did you talk about the DNC email hack one.

"Don't you think that's what I thought it was I thought it was like this thing is never going to pass not a bank robbery it's not about getting away from it ooh this is worse than a bank robbery this is a train wreck and I think he read the room and was like hey let's go let's get out of here and left in the hands of people who were all badly damaged by it I thought that was intentional maybe I'm giving them too much crash just I just don't understand how that's an excuse I know healthcare went down the toilet I was town that was the moment they learned that you can't executive branch can't force the the Congress to do whatever they want all the time and I think that was the beginning of the problems that ban is having right now let's give it over James Madison yes from from the grave healthy ask my kids are obsessed with Hamilton right now and we live in a hamlet every day and as I'm listening to it in the car for the time I'm like these sons of bitches we're pretty smart like they into the Electoral College was real real sharp idea is really worked great great thank you some of the stuff they did was to prevent crazy people from being too powerful and it's it's kind of working the founders are like a great sixty s Sitcom like a lot a lot of racism some of the episodes do not work but on the whole the of something you see where we came from right right this is the best that they can do at that time yeah I love the idea though like trump can tell the popularity of one of these positions by whether like Jira Kushner is putting ski he goes on a charity did you see the thing he observed tangible trump they asked producer of sixty minutes if you've ever talked to trump directly and he said that trump called him after the interview to see if he had broken a ratings occurred that's what we're dealing with that's when that's when the president of the United States is interested in something I think this leads naturally to our next topic which is dropped bombs applause so I got the first time I didn't have to hear you say that to get that that one I got very great yes I agree I I'm not really sure how we're supposed to deal with the fact that we have a president who is now in a have logan feedback loop with cable news it involves dropping the biggest bombs he can find now to your point about this is the president is kind of making decisions based on the ratings kind of this crazy week where all of a sudden foreign policy establishment gop behind him right now he's presidential freed Sakaria said he's presidential there's a lot of cable commentator commenting about like now he's doing the things he's supposed to do it's good that he changed his mind that's where president does we got into this on a little show called Party of America the or not and we we applaud applause Mossy American paper this sweater anyway freed Zik we criticized for saying that it's central to drop bombs and he wrote a little piece about this in which we were mentioned and I love being in love the way it feels I love being in the conversation so I wanted to go through it because I think like a long or laugh on that I think that's great so freed Zaccaria said that liberals can have trump derangement syndrome and this is his defensive having called trump presidential and I want to go through his argument I WANNA be fair to it because I think it's really important that we a stick to our guns about why it's so stupid so here's what he said he said it seems like trump listened carefully to his advisors chose a calibrated response acted swiftly on behalf of a broader set of ideals that was his standard for why this is presidential and freed credit he's like I didn't say it was the pope I'm very critical of Donald trump he is you know he said he's a bullshit artist he's been relentlessly focused on criticizing Donald trump when he deserves it but the idea that trump here is making a decision where he listened carefully and chose a calibrated response is ridiculous that's not how he makes decisions and and I think that's clear when you talk about the fact that Donald Trump is supposedly defending a broader set of ideals what are the ideals because it's certainly not checking innocent lives of children because one of the things that Donald Trump also did this month was take the gloves off of the military to allow greater civilian casualties in our military operations and it's certainly not caring about the people of Syria because he's not letting the people of Syria those children who are being bombed come in his refugees but the most important reason it is ridiculous I just saved dropping that Donald trump dropping bombs proved that he's presidential is because he's still fucking donald trump it's not a partisan thing he's donald trump he's not gonna learn anything he's not going to change and we know that because what's happened in the past few days is we have seen the fact that he feels rewarded for the bellicosity of his peak so we saw a story yesterday that the US is planning a military preemptive strike against North Korea in the event that they test a nuclear bomb and we saw a story by ally lakes that AIDS next trump are considering whether or not we should send troops in to Syria so no it isn't not acceptable to say that it is presidential for Donald trump to adhere to a broad set of ideals he's not behaving in a responsible way he's still him And I guess the question I have are you guys is don't you agree no I guess the question is how do we make sure that people like this foreign policy establishment who are so ready to kind of get on board with a normalization of trump that that we we hold their feet to the fire we made they remember that this guy is just a racist who's in way over his head I don't think you can do that by the thing I feel like that foreign policy consent establishment that more bombing always better than less and a good chunk of the of the democratic establishment is also that way those I mean the Clintons are kind of that way I think I there's a story I just a positive thing and I want to hear this but you should know that I consider Hillary Clinton perfect until after she the podcast of course so I'm going to maintain that line for longer go on what I what I think Great Hillary Clinton I think I want to hear the criticism because I can't do it right now but I wonder if you know when there's a story I read night particulars of it but Obama when he was being advised by these various groups about whether I should do the surgeon Afghantistan one of these kind of hawkish Democrats stood up and told him in a very dramatic tone Mr President the decision you make here to send soldiers into Afghanistan will be the most consequential of your administration nobody showed him a picture because he doesn't tell he doesn't read anything they save which of the bombs from biggest smaller than this one is smallest to biggest big boy big bomb most of the real men who are making these decisions just aside but there is a real problem and it is the problem that comes out when when trump says like well this is wrong we're going to do something and someone shows him a picture big bomb and it's the and it also by the way is the problem I believe when Brian Williams says oh it's so beautiful it's the most beautiful thing I've ever seen huge problem and it's the there is the people who are surrounding trump include and trump is the number one guy for this but they all of the people starting to they are they've gotten a taste now they got a taste of what it's like to fly they were some they went out in the situation room and they watched that Bob needs to watch that shape over and over again and they got all the praise he got all the praise from all the men on the networks saying like look how beautiful this is your so presidential it is not van bombing something really far away than it is to try to untangle an intellectual exercise like a healthcare bill that he fundamentally does not understand the bombed out about is that I think that's the one.
