Ant Group's I.P.O. Is Halted by Shanghai Stock Exchange
"Some tension between the Shanghai Stock Exchange on the listing of an financial so much tension, in fact of a regulatory issues that on financials listing will not be going ahead on that particular exchange now understanding that the Hong Kong exchange is set to make an announcement. On and Hong Kong Lis think this, according to business news. That's a report at the moment, at least a remarkable turn of events in just the past 60 years alone. Yeah, I got to say this is fascinating again because we talk about tech regulation in the US not so much in China, but they're cracking down, particularly on the financial sector, trying to make some of theon line lenders hold more capital. And perhaps not as easily raise money through asset backed securities to finance consumer loans. There is a fear of stoking perhaps financial unrest. Should there be some instability on the financial system and John just to put this into context? This $34.5 billion AIPO, the world's largest, what was set to start trading on Thursday. Had $3 trillion of retail bids of retail demand coming in. This is going to be incredibly hot among the rank and file in China High button issue interesting to see what actually transpired in some of these meetings. So this would go one of two ways. I guess, Tom, either you recalibrate the listing in Hong Kong. You go bigger. They're just things or the whole thing gets pulled. I think probably people leading towards the former and not the latter. At the moment. You know what I would partition here? John is the idea of a financial calculus. Okay, the price this years we want a piece of the action and that Or is it more about an unrest over the structural calculus? This headline from the Global Times and group to readjust listed businesses valuation? I get the valuation part that sort of Wall Street E. But the listed businesses to readjust John is this about a strategic structure. Or is it simply about a financial pricing? I don't know. I don't know either. I'm looking for the clarity. Alibaba, though, is falling in the premarket by as much as 6.7% of the moment down it down
Testing Positive: Coronavirus Contact Tracing at the White House
"Have some breaking news this morning just. President trump and first lady melania trump testing positive for the corona virus the president tweeting just before one am that he and the first lady will begin their quarantine and recovery process. Immediately, we got a lot more on the next steps for the White House and testing others who may have been exposed from Dr Scott Gottlieb. But before we do that, I want to get straight to image Jabar's. In Washington, who has been working this story all night and has the latest for us. Amen. This news began to unfold last night with a report that hope Hicks. One of the president's closest aides on his campaign had tested positive for the coronavirus. Then there was a period of time where we did not know what the president status was but hope. is obviously a close personal. Contact with the president on a regular basis, and in fact, she's been in close personal contact with a number of senior administration officials over just over the past week traveling with him out to venues into the presidential debate take a look at this list that NBC News is put together of all of the people inside the White House who had been in contact with hope. Hicks just this week on this travel more than twenty officials here who've been seen with hope. Hicks. Not necessarily always wearing a mask touching some of the same handles as they go up the stairs to air, Force One obviously on. The plane moving around all of those people will now have to be contact traced and tested, and you can imagine the scale of the effort that is unfolding inside the White House. This morning as they try to figure out who has been exposed, who has covid where this is all going to land meanwhile, the president defending himself earlier in the week remember that debate on Tuesday, the president was asked about his decision to continue holding large in-person rallies a lot of these rallies where the the people in attendance did not wear masks. The president said he simply had to continue on the campaign trail. Here's that moment. In any case why you holding the big rallies y you not? For her because people want to hear what I have to say well so far we have had no problem whatsoever it's outside that's a big difference according to the experts we do them outside. We have tremendous crowds as you see, I mean every and literally in twenty four hours notice and Joe does the circles and has three people someplace. And now we're getting international reaction rolling in guys as well. Take a look at this tweet. This is from who sesion. Here's the editor of Global Times in China and viewed as somebody who is very close with the Chinese government in Beijing. Often tweets reflections of their views on the world. He is tweeting this morning president trump and the first lady have paid the price. For his gamble to play down the covid nineteen, the news shows the severity of the US is pandemic situation. It will impose a negative impact on the image of trump and the US and may also negatively affect his reelection. So many unanswered questions here guys in terms of the campaign, the stimulus, the battle for the supreme. Court. All of those ongoing right now clearly, campaigning activities will not. Be Able to continue on the president's side as normal for some weeks. Now, no word yet from the Biden campaign about what their plans are in terms of the stimulus it's sort of an unknown at this point how this will affect those negotiations which are ongoing as we speak, and then in terms of the Supreme Court, it's likely that Congress will still continue to push forward but. Everybody involved in that process will also have to be contact traced and tested as well to make sure that anyone who has come in contact with the president over the past week including amy, Coney Barrett herself. The president's nominee for the Supreme Court gets a negative test before moving forward guy. So a lot of moving parts of this morning aiming before you go, let's just walk through. The contact tracing and what the circle might look like in terms of who has been in contact with the president. Obviously, the Biden campaign given the debate You mentioned the Supreme Court nominee how big a circle are we talking about here? Well, it's been a limited circle in recent months. They have made efforts to keep the president out of contact with as many people as possible but. It's still you know dozens of people who come in contact with the president on on a regular basis you know there's a hundred people are more flying on Air Force One at any given time including all the staff aides, military folks and everybody else involved in that process, and we've seen the president on Air Force One, a couple of times just this week and hope Hicks we know. was on Air Force One without a mask this week as well. So it's a large number of people I would imagine there are hundreds of people here who are going to be implicated. There's a lot of detail here to be gone through and you can imagine health officials the secret service capital police a whole range of other authorities in Washington are scrambling aggressively this morning to figure. Out what the damages and to contain it as best as possible,
TikTok urges US court order to block Trump ban
"Okay, Rich. Thank you. So much. A story Has Linda just touched on a US judge will hear Tic Tac's call for President Trump's bad to be halted later Thursday, as Chinese State media slam is moved. They say the oracle deal is quote a dirty and underhanded trick. With the China daily, likening US demands to a gangster, forcing an unreasonable deal on a legitimate company. Giga Texas Timeline Update, and the TSLA stock rebound
"Everybody. Robin our here, and today is kind of a Giga Day. We have news from gigafactory Shanghai Gigafactory, Texas gigafactory New York, and then we'll talk a little bit more about lucid ahead of their livestream unveil of the lucid air tonight, and of course, the stock which we can start out with dessel stock on the day to day finishing up eleven percent to three hundred, sixty, six dollars twenty eight cents on the back of a rising macaroni Environment Nasdaq for the day up two point seven percent. So as I said, yesterday, I, hate, stop-loss orders. This is exhibit a for why that is as Tesla today without much news swung back significantly in the. Other. Direction. That's really my only thought on the stock today. So let's move into the news. There was an interesting post this morning on Tesla Motors Clubs Forum by Ridge. Twenty twenty about a possible time line for Tesla's gigafactory in Texas. This user writes quote have some information on the tear factory build schedule. Tesla is sourcing how vendors slash contractors to bid on work at the site and quote this user then shares some screen shots presumably of some documents involved in that bidding, the most interesting of which lays out a project schedule in that project schedule not a first substantial completion date of May I twenty twenty one according to the American Institute of Architects. Substantial completion is quote the stage in the progress of the work when the work or designated portion thereof is sufficiently complete in accordance with the contract documents so that the owner can occupy or utilize the work for its intended use and quote the schedule also notes that the first dry in what happened on December thirtieth twenty twenty I xdrive just means that everything is sort of sealed up with the building shell so that interior work can commence without having to be exposed to the elements, and then in a separate page here that has also included. There's a more detailed schedule noting that in September they'll be doing things like underground electrical, mechanical plumbing, etc.. October would be fencing porta-pottys waste removal metals, recycling recycling removal, and then November would be architectural interiors which based on the dry and date assume would be non weather sensitive into your stuff. So obviously take this for what it's worth. It has just forum posts, but the documents to me look like they would be pretty legitimate I. Don't think there's a ton of reason to doubt it. I. Think for those of us that follow closely this would be pretty much in line with our expectations. This will be going from breaking ground to possibly production ready in under a year which we know Tesla is targeting based on their work active factory Shanghai originally and now With gigafactory Berlin as well. Speaking of Shanghai Tesla continues to make rapid progress at the gigafactory. They're the global times earlier. This Week reported that Tesla has completed the main section of phase two, which is for the Mata why and they write quote at present interior decoration and electromechanical testing being carried out and are expected to be completed on schedule in October and November and quote not exactly sure what interior decoration needs to be carried out and completed. I'm guessing that's probably something that's lost in translation probably more equivalent you interior design meaning, functional interior design. But regardless, we continue to see these reports about phase two in Shanghai though the Global Times appears. To also expect production to begin for the Monterey in one though they do cite other media reports on that which we have talked about. Personally, I'm still expecting some motto is to come out of gigafactory Shanghai. This you're probably not enough to be immaterial to quarterly results or the financials but more. So again, sign heading into twenty twenty one which cannot believe were that close to you already shifting back to the US and over to the energy side of the business with Peissel's gigafactory. In New, York a different type of gigafactory Tesla. Roddy today posted an article with the headline of quote vessel energy ramps hiring AC in New York for accelerated solar production and. Quote you on did actually re tweet this article in which Tesla Roddy writes quote a source familiar with the matter who spoke to Tessa. Roddy talk to employees at the plant who indicated the facility is currently operating on a twenty four hour schedule six days a week to keep up with demand. Altogether, this move seems to confirm the eighty eight acre location is accelerating solar production and installation insignificant way which coincides with the company's growth and the energy sector and quote while energy storage has definitely grown historically solar has actually been quite slow Tusla recently, which I think was correctly pointed out by Gordon Johnson in our bowl baird debate. So if we go. Back to two, thousand, seventeen, for example, cutie, Tesla deployed one, hundred, seventy, six megawatts of solar energy versus this most recent you only twenty seven megawatts of solar. There are a lot of reasons for that. The business model has shifted significantly but right now it's not at the point that at once what's Tesla's hope? Of course is that the solar roof changes that about which started in their cute you letter that quote solar roof installations roughly tripled in Q. to compare to key one, we continue to expand our installation team to increase the deployment rate and quote of course, this is a new product so to starting from a very low base for Tesla from. But hopefully, that growth rate continues we've also recently seen tesla cut their prices significantly for rooftop solar. Now, offering the lowest price systems in the United States at least at a dollar forty, nine per watt after incentives under cutting other systems and the US by about thirty percent on average. So plenty of reasons to be hopeful that Tesla is on the precipice returning to growth for the solar business and are on their way to finding a business model that works for them consistently for solar going forward. Next today on into provide an update to yesterday's discussion on delivery wait times. I've seen a few comments noting that those have changed for people today they have actually changed for me as well. So the model y currently sets for the all wheel drive version at seven to eleven weeks for me here in the Midwest two to four weeks for the performance for the Model S. and the Model X. Both of those currently sit at eight to twelve weeks versus yesterday's ten to fourteen. Weeks and the model three has held steady for all trims at two to four weeks.

President Trump Holds Press Briefing On China and WHO
"Begin with the latest out of DC following a news conference with President Trump. This afternoon where he ratcheted up the rhetoric on China and the World Health Organization. Let's go to Kayla Tashi in Washington Kayla there. The White House took an opportunity to redouble. Its hard line on China by very clearly outlining some policy positions that have been telegraphed previous administration officials in recent weeks in a policy package unveiled today the president said the US would be revoking visas for students and researchers with Chinese military ties the US would be studying accounting practices for possible delisting of Chinese companies. They'd be eliminating special treatment of Hong Kong and severing ties from the World Health Organization. Chinese officials ignored their reporting obligations to the World Health Organization and pressured the World Health Organization to mislead the world when the virus was first discovered by Chinese authorities. Countless lives have been taken in profound economic. Hardship has been inflicted all around the globe. The president stopped short of disrupting the phase. One trade deal or sanctioning top party officials even so the event was immediately panned by China. Who's global times? Newspaper called it a recklessly arbitrary move that builds on trump's bullying tactics and says the US will pay a hefty price for specifically any change in Hong Kong as for the move on the World Health Organization. Not everyone in. The President's Party was pleased with that. Lamar Alexander Tennessee Republican and the top Republican on the Senate Health Committee Put out a statement saying this thing. Certainly there needs to be a good hard look at mistakes. The World Health Organization might have made in connection with the corona virus. But the time to do that is after the crisis has been dealt with not in the middle of it and these broadsides come during the ramp up rhetoric in the election season that is just getting underway and is building up steam campaign officials. Say expect the heat to get turned up on this rhetoric going into November. Even if many of these policy actions are held in the wings until after the election is over with Sarah but one thing is very clear. Many strategists see this election as a referendum on president trump president trump in it sees China as a popular opponent
Coronavirus: China Asks US To "Meet Halfway"
"Corona virus headlines from around the world today surprising new tone from China. Cnn's Ivan Watson is watching developments from Hong Kong. I've been what's happening with the Chinese. Foreign Ministry struck surprisingly moderate tone on Friday after weeks of rancor between Washington and Beijing over each government's handling of the corona virus pandemic. The Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesperson was stressing the need for stable relations bilateral relations between the US and China. But there are still very much voices hardliners within the Chinese establishment that do not hesitate to bash the US and the Global Times newspaper Which is pretty much can be relied upon to do this raise. The SCENARIO OF LISTING AMERICAN COMPANIES AS UNRELIABLE ENTITIES and suggested the possibility of decoupling between the US and China. The world's largest
China to release 'unreliable entity list' soon
"China finally responding to a U. S. law supporting Hong Kong protestors Beijing is suspending Hong Kong port visits by US navy ships and also sanctioning some non government organisations including Human Rights Watch for their behavior during Hong Kong protests and the global times it says China will release an unreliable entity list this would be a type of sanction for companies or groups on the list but Bloomberg's Jeff black says this doesn't hurt prospects for trade talks as much as one might think specifically what they're not doing is walking away from a phase one trade deal so for investors that's positive because that shows China is still on the table I'm a still focused on getting a phase one
China wants U.S. tariffs rolled back in phase one trade deal
"Of course one big weight on China's economy is the trade when we had that China's tabloid the global times come out of the week and it's a Beijing wants existing tires to be rolled back as part of any phase one trade deal meeting a promise from the trump administration not to impose stiff new tariffs at mid December might not be enough for a

China lowers expectations for U.S. trade talks after blacklist: officials
"Begin with relations between the US and China continuing to deteriorate just the day before trade negotiations resume after blacklisting eight Chinese tech companies the US is now slapping visa bans on officials link to the mass detention of Muslims in China we get the latest from Bloomberg Selena weighing in Beijing the mood going into these trade talks could be worse the timing is quite provocative it's no or they were just days away from the trade talks and this is the first significant public step by major world government to take action against Beijing on these alleged human rights violations inching John which the U. N. has said as many as one million ethnic Uighurs and Muslims have been detained in the region while China has defended itself by saying that this is part of its legitimate counterterrorism efforts and since this news has come out to this alleged violations have been put front and center on the global stage and this is the last thing China wants to be highlighted in the public fear the travel ban rattled investors late yesterday sending the S. and P. five hundred lower by one and a half percent despite that travel ban and blacklist China is still open to a partial trade deal that's according to an official with direct knowledge of the talks meanwhile Chinese state media offers low expectations for tomorrow's negotiations Bloomberg market strategist David Finnerty has more there's an editorial in the global times newspaper which is out of China I mean if they keep the phone into a common theme to one of the attitudes the US is not sincere the mutual distrust is increasing and that's with a voice for China so I think when it come out of this nothing be resolved I think president trump level ratchet up tennis title retaliate building going so I think she I think president trump will be the one who watch will blink first I think the reason being is that stock market does start to down take I think he called a forty gun selection with that going down and I think he knows that himself Bloomberg news has learned officials in Beijing would accept a limited trade agreement as long as no more tariffs are imposed by president shrub including two rounds of higher levy set to take effect this month in in December and the Financial Times reports China is offering to buy an extra ten billion dollars of
China says will respond if U.S. escalates trade tension
"When it comes to the trade war, Beijing's next move could target US services. That's according to who she Jin whose editor of the global times, when of China's most combative state run newspapers, who spoke exclusively to Bloomberg through an interpreter late with the humble, China may target, the US services sector operating here trade in services is not the same as the trading goods. The US has barely talked about services, but China knows this is a fast growing area for the American side who has developed a reputation for forecasting moves from that. Chinese government using his Twitter feed to accurately predict policy from Beijing, Bloomberg's Tom MacKenzie explains. The FedEx investigation was something that he foresaw with one tweet. That's just one example. He also wrote it sweet about the blacklisting of foreign companies by Chinese officials say before anyone else had heard anything about this. These also tweeted on things like China, cutting back on agricultural purchases from the US and cutting back on Boeing Boeing would as those haven't come to fruition. But nonetheless, that's we managed to move buying. So quite significantly shares a Boeing fell five percent following that tweet on may
Trump says he'll meet with China's Xi amid intensifying trade fight
"Let's talk about the US China trade issue because the United States is reading new tariffs against China. Even as President Trump says that he will meet Xi Jinping next month g twenty meeting. The trade representative's office has released a list of about three hundred billion dollars in put us to be taxed now off to China impose its own retaliatory duties on US goods Trump warns Beijing not to go too far in retaliation. But says that he still optimist about toolbox. They've got back from China. Well, let you know about three or four weeks whether or not it was successful. You never really know. Right. But I have a feeling it's going to be very successful. So for more on this. Let's go live to Beijing weapon begs China. Correspondent Tom MacKenzie is standing by to give us the details on China's retaliatory actions. Yes. So we've been waiting for a few days for the countermeasures that China have promised on last night. Beijing time they came through. So what they going to do is taking the retirement tree times. They already had place in place on sixty billion dollars worth of goods from the previous round, and they just going to raise those levees to between twenty and twenty five percent. And these are products they import from the US, including things like agricultural products, of course, as well as energy, so liquefied natural gas. These are going to kick in from June. The first interestingly, what China didn't do was impose tariffs on US made auto something they suspended back in December often that g twenty meeting between president and President Trump, and they also have yet to cancel a pledge by about seven million tonnes of US soybeans. Well, so they're knock. I mean, those are the probably the hardest hitting measures that could've taken. They're not gonna do that. Are they prepared to put those tears on? If the Trump administration goes ahead and taxes. The rest of the goods that it imports from China. So certainly the view is that they want to take proportional response. So that they can keep these talks going forward with of course, the hope that they can get some kind of resolution in the next few weeks. Even if the odds of that seemed to have changed and the chances seem to a full in in the last few days. So they want to have the key that toolkit that and they have additional measures that they can put in place. So they can do that counsel, for example of US soybean purchases. And of course, they can reimpose those tariffs on US. They haven't done that yet. But certainly the fear was there in the markets yesterday. Looking at the auto stocks listed in the US and particularly country companies like tesla would be very badly hit, of course, other missions. They can take non-tariff barriers so just making life much more difficult for US corporations operating here. And then there was the global times, which is a nationalistic state kind of Bank newspaper tabloid suggesting that maybe being discussed in the holes of power. Hey was a settling down of US treasuries. Now every single analysts that we speak to says that is very very unlikely. Indeed. So they may just be part of the psychological. Operation cyclops between the two countries. Essentially, something we've been looking at whether or not they can devalue the UN a paper newspaper back by the central Bank came out today and said, look, we should not expect significant weakening of the Chinese currency. And in fact, the off show an-and show you is up slightly today. Yeah. I was just looking at that as she CSI three hundred this up three tenths of one percent. Just briefly. How's it playing out in the Chinese markets? So yeah, today's being relatively stable part of that will be down. No doubt to the comments by President Trump saying that he feels that there's going to be a resolution in the next three to four weeks. Of course, many looking ahead to that g twenty meeting between president Xi and President Trump with many hoping that that will lead to some kind of resolution, but really the focus is on what the policy response is going to be. So the C weighing in today to suggest that a radical be value of the currency isn't going to be happening. That's prove something supportive, but we all looking certainly for those additional measures that many economists now expect to see from the central Bank and from the finance ministry, particularly to. Support domestic
China, FOX Beijing And Larry Cudlow discussed on Wayne Cabot and Paul Murnane
"Fifteen Wall Street may follow the Asian markets lower right now US China trade worries Shanghai and Tokyo fell about one percent White House advisor. "Into driving hard and fast track and stuff, they do it on their own. It's it's their hobby as well. So I had a solid support at the table know, the fucking audience is the one that's gonna stop sorry. All right. So they have a solid foundation of knowledge and everything for trying to get performance out of suspension. I mean these engineers put a ton of work into it, not to just make your car look cool about to make actually do things. And unfortunately, it's it's something that a lot of people don't take advantage of it. But I mean, I'm looking at a kit to where I don't care if I limit it to where it only goes up and down in Incheon half or so, right. I'm not looking to raise the car a ton to get over huge driveways like that. I will sacrifice that to get the desired spring rate. If you will out of it. Right. So like right now, my my rear doesn't travel very much my front. My my rear end for anybody. With a Subaru out there. He's looking at get their Subaru handing meddling better on air suspension. I basically tried to everything to get the rear as stiff as possible. Okay. So that was something that you had to rotate more. Holy. Bruce, push like, no other. Yeah. So I've done everything in my power to make the car oversteer more. So it's the it's an air spring. Yes. So picture over a damper. Yeah. Okay. Does in the normal damper? Or is it a? Yeah. Okay. So picture a coil over right, literally just erase this spring and draw bag, and that's exactly top or the bottom. The tonight where the spring would be okay. And that's it. So. So. Damper something like, yeah. I believe it's I believe me they might work with BC. Okay. But but it's off the rack off off the shelf. Exactly. And you don't need like some kind of like super super fancy damper. Right. You can any performance damper works. Yeah. Yeah. I mean, we've got did. I'm only using one way adjustments. Like, yeah. I've got nothing. Crazy. I don't have JR Z's that have all your adjustments in the world that are just gangster those they probably just adjust them wrong. That's well, that's that's the other thing. A lot of people don't realize that dude suspension comes down to how much work you're willing to put into it Justice and setting up you can take a piece of crap set a coil overs, or whatever if you adjust them to actually balance the car properly, they will work pretty damn, well, I heard some people shit on various brands of coil overs. And I've seen well set up versions of them that drive pretty that's the thing is that Colo or suspension period. It's not an off the shelf throw it in the car and be done thing. That's that's one of the biggest things I try to preach is like everybody's. Like, oh, you're an air suspension is it, bouncy? Like now. I I worked at what bouncing means. As far as I mentioned. But I was I mean on streetcars if people just put a kid on it can be a little, bouncy. Okay. I would assume that you're pressures are too low. If you're doing that. So then you need to adjust the thread body, and, you know, add more pressure to the bag. So basically, just the caller the lower mount, let's say if it was McPherson, south strikes that just like you would a coil over does lower that bottom mount and then inflate more air. So you're creating a stiffer you're you're keeping the same right high. But you're adding stiffness, oh 'cause you're replacing exactly travel shortly height of the entire unit but running a higher pressuring air. Oh, yeah. So where you have the same ride height. But you're now stiffer interesting. There's all kinds of stuff did. But yeah, see. That's the thing is like it started off his daily driver. And it was everything that I needed it to be, and it was super convenient and Subarus or not reliable at all so blow up, and it would do stupid thing..

"Cool. Be. I've always seen your car for like running for like three years now and years. Yeah. It's fucking Subaru. But its on air suspension. It is a little bit different. Yeah. The only race car of ever seen on air suspension. Yeah. It's fun being a little different. Yeah. Is that? I mean, you can be honest is that by choice or by sponsorship. It'd be completely honest. I gave the same answer to anybody that ask this question. The car started off as a daily driver. So back when I was like Halley, I want the car slammed in low. I want the car to be able to look exactly how I want it park it and do whatever. But I still don't want to take away from the performance of it. Because like a hawk SEI was like my dream car growing up. I don't wanna take performance away from what it already has. Right. So my mindset was like, okay. If we can improve import prefer improve performance and make it versatile in the aspect of like speed, bumps are death are death. Right. So especially in LA. Oh my God. Do you have to plan out? You gotta like map out your drive. I have a low static to forty. It's silly. It's like two inches octagon. Yeah. It's a it's a disaster. But it's funny. And it's those that don't live in Los Angeles. We don't have sewers here are sewers are on the street level. And so when it rains the gutters have to carry the water on the streets. So you can't drive a fucking lowered car. He had a problem. Yeah. Anyway. So the convenience factor was the main thing that appealed on top of like, hey, if it can do what these guys are advertising. Like, I was not associated with them at all in any way. And I was like, okay. Let's I'm looking for a suspension. So it's either these coil overs or air, and let's try some air suspension. So then I got it. And I knew nothing I had never installed an air kit before I don't know. I just go for I was went for as light as possible. So I did like an aluminum three gallon tank. I did a single compressor barebones setup. No would grain no super sick NAS painted tank or anything like that you recommend the wood green. I mean, what is what would be would grade. Wait, wait, what would be would grain? Seriously, the tank o. Did you go on the trunk? Have you seen many show cards? They get so gnarly. Let me see like VIP Carson the tea trays and stuff. Oh, what do they put the wood grain on like like a box ace? Oh, yeah. But everything and then hardline everything. Yeah. I saw one car that had the roll cage was the tank so the like a computer like a motorcycle where the fuel goes in the frame. Yeah. So you've got a roll cage that is holding your compressed air for your air suspension. Are you fucking kidding me? What happens if you get into a crash? I don't know. But it's surprising. How that's unique. I've never seen that before shoe will pressurise Russia's roll cage. Yeah. Forgive me that does not safe. I mean, maybe it was more of a show car than go car. Crazy. Like, you know, those Buell motorcycles, we've seen those things. Yeah. With Beulah motorcycle is like a sport bike that uses a Harley Davidson engine and the sky Erik Buell design them, and they're very fucking trick. And really really cool. There we weird because they sound the Carly's, but they look like sport bikes, right? And the biggest tricks piece of stuff in in a Buell the frame is the frame is the fuel tank. Okay. So the thing that looks like the fuel tank is. Isn't the fuel tank? The what is the thing that looked like it's the airbox the intakes come from above from the air box in the fucking thing. So that whole thing is hollow and very light. And the fuel is lower in the fucking frame, which is very cool. But to me like the I I've driven like performance car..

"Do you have a Subaru daily driver also? What are you put of that. Actually just I work at a dealership so well dealership has what dealer do you got? I worked for Camelback Volkswagen, so that's why? No, of course. Have Subaru spec oil. Actually, we have. We have like three dealers. Oh, brilliant. It's like right across the street. Are you still parts manager? I must service raider. Yeah. John Heyman sodas, almost everybody. Yeah. Everybody's like, oh, you must be nice to be a racecar driver. Yeah. Yeah. Whatever. There's one percent of the racing community that doesn't also have a job really even like proper pros have jobs. So yeah, you gotta have a job look at Michael. Say he has a. He has a shop is yeah. Yeah, either you have a shop or you're an instructor. I know a lot of quote pro drivers that are spend eighty percent of the time instructing other people for money. You have to. You have to live if you ever wanted to bail out of that, though, you could go PC one hundred percent portion experience center. They hire racing driver. That like they love hiring women instructors. That's like a thing that they're that they're really into my Email there is, do you wanna make it? I can make your intro in two seconds? Yes. Okay. Okay. I didn't know you were dead. I'll make you an intro if you want to teach at PC I could probably make it out. I would love to go after the show making intro. No problem. Yeah, easy. All right, motor oil. Gotcha. Sally, you're fucking home, you got you, Dan, what am I preferred shoes to drive? I actually liked driving in my new balances I drive. I hate racing shoes. They're very uncomfortable. They are not made for comfort. They're meant for driving formula cars..

I'm about that life. I'm with you. And if you build it CSX race car, hit me up, I'll I'll buy a seat in that. All right. I'll do race with you. I'd love to I the only one of the only things I pay for these days in cars is spying seats and other people's rights. You know the money, it's so worth it because like we're for the amount of enjoyment you get an and driving a car. It's just like, I don't care. It's worth it worth it, especially in endurance racing because like I my seat for fifteen hundred for a weekend. Okay. And that gets me like between three and a half and five hours of enra- seat about, like if you had the car and he had to go to the track and get their fuel in transport, and then everything else involved. That's cheap. It's so cheap. And then I guess like just go home. Yeah, yeah. Put my helmet in the bag. Leave. Thanks guys, a Black Sea. In two months later, I speaking of a are, we'll be racing in mid Ohio at the end of October with a yard, dude, get kidding. Get in the car. Come on out, getting us get a seat in a car. I've thought about it so fun. It's great racing. It's really enjoyable. I'm always down for whatever. If there's an extra fee, I, if there's an extra seat, I would one hundred percent gets you in this car. If you want, if you want to raise the NC. Five Cup with us. Sure. Yeah. Good team road and track is fun. Yeah. Okay. Now you can explain this jujitsu says, why is Lucy such a bullied at Carl? What does that mean? Okay. I have two corgis. Oh Carl. In Lucy. Pin, Brooke Welsh corgi and Lucy is a cardigan Welsh corgi. There's different kinds of chord Gatesville. What's the difference here? We'll they actually have. They have an Instagram pay. What is it? Great puppy. He's a good boy and and there is this is Lucy, oh, Lucy is. Yours is he's a sweet girl, but she is such a bullied, Carl, she bites him face. She liked these dislike like bites his face and she's such a little turn to him. Oh, man. Did to separate them? No, no, no. It's all in love. My cats are more. I brought Morgan home like a month ago because we had a cat. Axel who passed away a few months ago. We have three cats and it just it didn't feel the same without him. And so we adopted Morgan and he is my other cats are thirteen and he's two, oh my gosh, fucking maniac. I had to do it. Look at this. This is for real weight. "I want one corner. I took was way blind that I was getting any close calls in the canyons. No, I don't have any coast calls in the canyons. I haven't in a while and if I did, you'd see them on video. There's no benefit to keeping the good shit to myself if it's if something happens on a video that's close. Yeah, you're going to see it, but I did this video and it was real life. Don't edit out the crap. No, because the crap goes viral. And that's how you get via they wanna see the crab? Yes, they don't wanna see everything stage totally, but I referring to. It was so foggy and it was really, really hard to say really? Yeah, it was very funny. Thank you, Sir. Brian, Ashton vantage front grille looks cheap. Oh, hang on. Let's take a look at the grill together and we'll see. So I actually am picking up one of these on Tuesday, not to buy just as a as a press. To to test out of, they probably will give me. I mean, I haven't seen it in person in this photograph. It looks a little weird does look a little weird. It's not my favorite. This car has a few pretty angles, but this front straight on one. Maybe the picture just doesn't do it Jeff. It might not. And I hope that when I get the car in person, I'm going to change my mind a little bit. I don't love how it looks from the front. I do love how it looks from the back. Oh, that is nice. Looking from the back. It is really, this is it's best angle the rear three quarter. I thought I don't know about the yellow diffuser greened future. Don't go to body colored. Fuser's should be black. Yeah, exactly. That bodied line is nice. That's a good body like, I'm actually stoked to drive this thing. I've been asking the asking people for for quite some time to have a go. I'm hat. I'm glad the cars are here. Jumping to chance. I will Brian, I will address your cheap comment in the review if it actually does look cheap. Thank you. Thank you for your donation. Michael Sean says, considering changing over to front wheel drive for endurance racing in WROL and a are. It's what I run in currently in a ninety four miata thinking of first gen. A strong engine and a big fuel tank. So there are a lot with CSX would actually make a pretty good Durance race car. The k twenty four is a good engine, although, and has a big fuel tank. Although depending on your budget, like we're talking about before in the show a k. twenty four in a fit is a lighter package with the shorter wheelbase and it may end up costing less money. They do the swaps. The total I feel like it's total chassis. Salute engineering total chassis is, is that it? It's not TC TCI hold on total. No total chassis. I feel like I've heard that. I think it's solutions total complete Jesse solutions. No, fuck. Jack birth wrote an article for wrote a track about it. Go, go find that article. Depending on your cost. I agree with you. Front wheel drive TSA x. is going to be a faster car, fun. Potentially. A better is ninety. Four is an Amy oughta write it, Amy. Amy autos. "You gotta make up there and Becky out and cater if you fit your driving, cater them, do you know to cater really, oh, catering, catering are crazy. You. You'll know you'll know what a catering isn't. You've seen them. Okay. This is a cater. This is this is this is the new a blast to now they are a blast a windscreen on this one? Yeah. If you fit, you can get one without a windscreen that one has no one has no interest. This is this is our five hundred. This. Motor death trap, crazy one, and they even make they do make a called an SUV, which is a little bit wider for American bum. Oh. Then did a USD style caterer is a real commitment just like a Morgan through it has to be to being in the outdoors. Now I'm getting in the outdoors, but you know, both of those are fun and if you have a daily, I think it's okay because fill both probably break. Thank you, sir. Ed wants to know. I just bought a twenty fourteen Jetta TD I six speed manual with five thousand miles for two k under book. Yeah, nice. I wonder if it's a fixed diesel. I'm sure it is. Sure it is. It is not right. Yeah, it's my daily driver as I have a long commute. I modify it for general hunting purposes. No, no, no, no. They're not because we all drive. It's fraught wheel drive. And what could you possibly do that would make it that much better? Be honest with you. That car is going to go for a long time. Considering it's a manual, you're going to get out a ton of miles on that and can get like even with the fix. Yeah, you're still going to get like probably Clive her forty five Ryan to people in my travels recently who have had fixed once that the fuel economy is really not affected that. No, it's really there little bit louder, but that's about it. Yeah, I haven't. I haven't heard any complaints about the. But honestly, like that's an efficient car. It's not a fast car. It's not going to be a fast car and to try and make it a fast car. You're gonna make it dirty again, and that's just like bad for the word. You wanted to take like a TDI and do Hoon stuff with it. You'd have to get like the first the two thousand six Jetta the old one, the ones that weren't common rail. You can do some cool stuff with that. Yes, you need some cool stuff with that, but people like they'll put a bigger turbine on their stuff. Do you? Can you know, do you could do some foil overs and lightweight wheels and tires and make it handle better? That's that's what I mean. Those ones. Are there a lot more like failsafe. The old one. I feel like, you know, I don't feel like that's a better platform. I mean, they don't. They don't get it. They're not as torquing the kind of slow, but you're gonna get a ton of like, you can met. You can't get do stuff with them. I feel like he can. I don't know how true that is, but I don't know how much honing you can do in a fucking TDI Jeddah. We can make it handle better, but I don't know. I wouldn't. I wouldn't bother. I would say, save up some money and by car, if that's really want. Thank you. Ed Gill ad says, I want to say thanks for doing your show even if you don't like the nine six, which I have in love. If you love it, that's what's important. Man don't don't. Got an m three Jag f type bunch 'em threes bunch of vets. That's a really surprising. The sounds good with their E-Class photography there with their news. Here's a seven one eight Boxster BMW four series cab. I mean there's a bunch of fun shit. I would. I'd say there's a this. I swear to God. This Nissan three seventy z. He's an ex press car. I swear. I've see. I saw it as a press car. One hundred day you could get better. You could get really awful CLA on rims, not get a Polaris slingshot taste, but you have, but you definitely have options. I would say for one hundred day your best options are going to be a vet or an ninety. Two, three, both of which are available. Yeah, totally decent. Yeah, Italy, decent options. If you crank it up to like one hundred and fifty, you're going to get you're looking at brand new threes and stuff as well. Yeah, totally. What if somebody crashed in they come with insurance, the cars come with insurance. Yeah, I think if you did, if you do, if you scratch it up, you have to pay for it. You actually had a crash, there's insurance. Thank you. Thank you. Jason make on says, I've been daily driving in wrenching on my NB miata for a while, looking for something a little more comfortable and slightly bigger. What is the best option to keep the driving and controls of the miata? I have an obvious answer to this. What do you think? So. Maybe like a thousand. I think why don't think that's much bigger, but I think in eighty six eighty six eighty six is bigger. Yeah, that is bigger. You've probably probably probably I don't know if it hadn't actually not. I don't know if a handle better not has this. It has. The steering is just as good. Really. I don't know if stock for stock because they Eighty-six comes to those. Those those hard tires tires on them. You probably gonna sticky. I get a lot of people go out there and have fun in those on on track. And it's hard tires are really fun because I like sliding around and if you want to have fun, you could drift all day on those shitty. Anytime. And then they're still find their Prius tires? Yeah, you could drift all day. And so the The high high rolling. rolling resistance as three hundred dollars visa. The I think the I think that's the obvious answer is the eighty six which has the best the same similar controls as a miata. That's. Vlad fucking and great name buddy. I used to have a Volkswagen Passat daily, nine eight one Boxster s for weekends and track days ten months ago I placed the Passat with a tesla model x..

"I think having great job Edgar life like he did a fantastic job like I couldn't hear it personally, hear me out there, but I could hear him commentating for like the other groups, and he was great like, oh, they're coming down from corner, twelve, and he's about to start finishing logo. It's he's gone three point, two seconds faster or something. Something something like he did a really good job and heist people because people are listening to that, and it may not even be watching on track, but they're hearing it or if they are watching, they're able to say, oh, you know, oh, I could tell him what best friend, this one corner that I'm watching or whatever generates excitement and stuff like that. Exactly. Generates people wanting to watch it and they do the same thing on global time attack. They have like an announcer guy who like says, hey, you know, this guy, oh, they're coming around, you know, sunset here run willow and what is just it's it's not as binary that guys in front of that guy. And so you know what I mean as a spectator. This is like watching as a spectator. It takes the rally cross formula and brings it over to time attack right. Formula, drift type people can see that. We're like, oh, he obviously did better watch his run or like, oh, I can see that there was like two Carling's gap. And now there's three Carling's gap. This guy is like leaving this guy in the dust. He he's got left a gap, Elise. So. That's good. One. Get on the super chat. If you wanna do questions, we're gonna do that for the next twenty minutes of the show. There's a bunch on there already. But yeah, I the speed ring thing. I don't know where to fucking find it. Look for dust, beat ring, Voss, speeding. I think it's the speed ring. Maybe is that it. I thank us speed. I got here. I was laying in bed like watching the transponder times. I'm James Houghton. Yeah, I like how he's got a trophy. And what handed a beer? Another hand. Him. Melon on his head Houghton. This dude ran a fucking twenty two at road Atlanta and had a watermelon on his head like an hour late. I'm really great pictures of James teams is like a really good bud, ie alumni guy. Here's a, here's some Instagram from that's going on. Oh, wow. Look at some of these cars at speed dude. Look this shit that he's is Cam gem. He'll ruin he's from Canada. Sexy carbon. They rent a lot with the, he actually broke the well. The last time I looked which is not been right now, but he did break the record earlier this morning. He did like a one to three something, and it was like a one four. Previously, there's this whole body dropped like this whole body's been shocked and drum sure that's definite emotions wheel to body are all different here. Let's follow them. What else is happening on the speed rate you can watch. We can watch it on here a lifetime ING. Oh, you gotta live timing on the race monitor? Yes. Race hero, same thing. Wow, cool. Cars is here's a, here's a GTRI that's from last year, but wing with this CRX do they're crazy out there? There's some great cars the to shit that CRX is sexy as hell. Vibrant performance rear wheel drive, CRX, Alabama. I don't know what it says. Rear wheel drive CRX. So the speed, here's this Tony, Tony in the in the two, thirty five. I one thousand five hundred thirty five. Yeah, the speed ring. So this is like the? Yeah, like they said it time attack and then it's Togay battle. Yeah. I wish I wish I would have gone actually, that's your. I'd like to go next year I couldn't. I was. I was doing the Bonneville things so I couldn't make it invited me to go next year. Let's do some. I get questions from live people down this. Jason says, I'm in LA for the first time working as an AC on a car show. That'll be fun. AC assistant camera if you're not okay, what car should I get on tarot for a weekend to play in the Angeles forest. One hundred bucks a day. So tarot now it's like Airbnb for cars. Yeah, it's it's pretty RAD if you're really. Yeah, it you know. You know the the selection varies by where you are, but if you're an LA or Miami or like the New York area, you can get some dope shit..

"Have you had that happen? No, no. I've had it happen a couple of times where either blows a seal and socially, or you know what? Ten what shocks can overheat of the magnetic ride shocks MR when they cool off, they come back but like the fluid that magnetic fluid if you drive like a heaviest car, like one of the Camaros them are and you, it's a really hot day and you're really running at hard. You can overheat them in the car starts to get real sloppy and weird. If you let it cool off for a while. Come back. Yeah, weird. Yeah. The MR shocks are kind of all like that. It's it's. Yeah, they're just heat susceptible like anything else, everything on a car, but do you run but you don't. You don't run like funky geometry's, right? It's the standard. It has to be the standard geometry. Flat geometry? Correct in anything, right. I think you can have a geometry cranky top hat or something like that. Let me out at that point. You can't run like a like a knuckle or or something like insanely. I think you. You could have this year, but it's, I don't know that it's going to be okay in later on down the road or something like that, but you can't really run anything to geometry corrected. It's it's supposed to be St. street like bolt-on. So like we have like every bushing that super pro makes on the car and we have like Pauly or Delray. Polly think those little the little white ones. Their whole thing is purple, but. But yeah, like the paulie bushings and they're all you know, have them on like almost everything on the car. I don't think I have any bushings left like stock bushings until recently. I like recently like earlier this year, my car was have a lot of stock things and they fix that stuff up there like Edgar Guinness stuff out of here. How much time do you spend on the on the aero? You've got a splitter. You got a big wing, do you do you fuck with much? You just kind of be honest with, you know, you know previously, this brings up a good point winter road Atlanta earlier this year in may end my splitter, I had a newer splitter on there and we didn't. We really can't test road Atlantic. 'cause this really, really crucial at road Atlanta is your ERO and it's it's hard on it. Like if you're aero is lacking, it's going to turn a pieces. And that's essentially what happened. My splitter like turned into a taco went, ooh, shit was bad. Actually, I think we might hit one of my oil cooler lines because it all went all sorts of nuts under there, and it actually hit the header. And then I had an oil leak. And then I had an engine fire, and it was just a mess. Yeah. So we actually went with a actually bought the splitter used from a friend. Okay. He has a Seib ruin. It's an IT performance car, but he had he had a an old splitter. He was trying to sell and he's like, we got it from him. And so we put it on the cars actually not even made for my car, but it fits and the to the rule. You can have five inches away from your bumper. All the way around this is like three front and maybe like. It doesn't look that big, but it's really well made in it works really well. So we're actually doing way more with less. We just kind of cool and I don't really can't really miss it the wing at all because it's at the limit. I can't have max angle wing can't be above my roof line max height on. Can you adjust? Are you allowed to adjust the angle just to angle. It goes above the roof line. Oh. Where it's at. So we're thinking about maybe like maybe trimming the bottom of the of the stands because it's chassis mounted. It goes all the way to the floor of the car. Otherwise, you're just gonna tend your Trump raise. So we can actually start using the wing cool because we're getting to the point like that was my whole purpose is here is doing on the east coast with issue that we're, we're going to like lots of seat time or do all these upgrades and get see time and do they've turned my race program.

"A paramedic shorts. And Volkswagen provided me a very, very ill fitting outfit that I it listen, thank you to Volkswagen, but but. But yeah, they lost in my bag. My bag spend tonight in Paris without me. I just got even got it back. Well, I mean, honestly, I had two bags. One is my hard case in my cameras, and the other was my bag. My racing shit. And when I went to fuck in Air France counter, when I got hall when I got to Bonnevilles it was hard case made it. The racing gear did not and were like they said, I'm surprised even one of the bags made it. They're like, they're like, oh, you through Charles to Gaul fucking France. It's exactly like what happens when someone tries to break into your house in Venice beach, here they go. Venice, it's a sign that they go, France, they act. They act like you don't mess. Wow, but at least you got the good stuff. Well, I got this, the cameras. That's what matters because because then I went to Bonneville and drove this fucker. I saw this is the Jetta. Nineteen Jetta nineteen yet. Stock bodywork. Yes, complete stock bodywork except for these. These little these little fins just very small, fins shame. First -bility that's on the cloud text generator or something. I don't know ABC those. It's ninety. Nine percent stock body, but for whatever the classes they just allow these very small fins and it's a two liter six speed manual car stock your box, stock block stock bottom end to leader and it makes five hundred and fifty wheel horsepower visit TSA. It's TSI. It runs on Iran's on race, gas, it does run on clean. And Volkswagen went out and set the record low, no way to hundred and ten miles an hour in this. The other day. Yeah, and then I went out in it and did two hundred eleven miles an hour. And I got to pull shoot, which is my first time ever pulling shoot. And it was fucking RAD dude to eleven in Jeddah. Awesome. Raise it has a fear radical geared out top speed, theoretical of two hundred twenty nine or something miles an hour. And you said stock trans stocks, speed manual gearbox. Yeah, here's some backup. You probably can't buy Giotto with that trans, you can. It's the stock It's not like at at night. night GTI trans or anything. So okay. Yeah. So the engine is not the engine of the two leader. It is not available in the nineteen Jetta right, but it will be available in the g. l. I it's jail. And as will the gearbox which is from a GT. It's a stock Volkswagen gearbox GTI Jedis come with an one eight and a one, four right there. The July. We'll have the two leader and this manual gearbox. So it's a preview of that and it's running see sixteen and it's got a board warned term. Like we have a picture of the tar about its engine. It look at this inner cooler, they made. So here's this crazy inner cooler here. Here's the turbo. And so the the inner cooler, you see this, all this plumbing. Plumbing is going through the firewall into where the passenger seat would be where there is a giant metal ice chests. It was waiting for that comment yet. They just dump ice into it. I think no way, think about the kind of heat that is required out of an engine to go full throttle for like a minute. Is it? That's what I was wondering. How long does it take to get to two hundred. To it took about two miles to get to two hundred and another another mile and change to get to to eleven and the car had I saw I wear wait. Hang on. I have the so the gearing. So here's the here's so tears to eleven at seventy six seventy nine RPM I kinda bitched out. I knew the reveling. Where do you stop? Well, I knew the record was to ten. And so when I saw two, I was like, I'm there and gone..

"It's good just to check. I mean, it's a turbo car. It's gonna burn some. Well, that's the way it is, but a lot of people, you know, if you run ethanol, if you don't do an oil change after every track event ethanol does get into the oil and that does cause you know the oil to break down and it's not as good if you do to track days. You could have a problem. A lot of a lot of it like super is a good car. They do have a lot of problems. They do have problem, you know, things that do need to be corrected, but a lot of it's maintenance if you think people, I think in general, people don't understand how much more maintenance they need to do if they're doing racetracks done. A lot of people don't that either. I mean a racetrack environment even at a high performance car, you know, a lot of compromises made for a streetcar a lot. Oh, yeah. You know, like the streetcar is gonna come with St. brake pads and St. brake fluid, and you just have to like, do a lot of shit if you're really going to be on the track, are you going to do that stuff? You gotta you gotta do it all in like that track hall ghost. To set the brakes on fire fifty, three hundred pounds. I read a forty six. That's. I, I saw pictures of you out. There is hilarious, and I was like. So funny I would. I would take that line. You took through turn three. I would take that two feet further to the right. My right wheels are like in the grass, you jump the berm it's it was hysterical, but it was so dumb, but you, hey, you had a blast though. I not as much of a blast as if I was in a real sports car in two weeks. I'm going to ginger men for grid life around five, and I'm going to be tracking a Honda fit. Oh, spec beaker. Yeah, just the actual Scott. Oh, sweet dude. Those fits are fun. A shoot. I'm so stoked, like everybody's like it's going to be so slow. I'm like, so there's a shop I know and fuck I can't. It's like chassis. Total chassis solutions. I think it's called. I probably fucking this up. I think that's what it's called. I raced against seven NCA them and they had a second gen fit. There was fundamentally a spec b car with a few different suspension geometry's and a k twenty four swallow. It was so fast. It's both. Those probably don't wear anything. No, it was like twenty three hundred pounds. It was fucking right. I didn't drive it, but I I saw him fly by me every three labs mobbing like what is that? Like my car was like three thousand thirty one hundred pounds. I saw that bad. I just drove into the event door that was thirty nine hundred pounds. But I saw one hundred seventy seven miles an hour on the front, straight investor, wet A bar. wet bar, dude, it's they have all kinds of shit. They do. The new is SP Jay. Here it is event at our s v. S. VJ and it's, they actually have made this thing go around corners. I, I noticed that Lamborghini can't go around corners is funny, but it's true now. No, you ever driven an original event the door. I'm never even like, I think I've sat in a lame, oh, we should get you into limbo. We could get you into Lambeau. It's not that hard, Mike. Okay. We should probably say that Amy is here. She's hiding off camera. We could get you. We didn't get you into Lambeau, but. Earlier today, the early events doors don't handle for shit, well plow, but they do brio worse. So it's like you turn the wheel and you imagine a Subaru with like crazy, staggered tires and tiny front wheels. Like, that's, that's what it's less you like driving drag hard actually have to drive it like a front wheel drive car. It's really, really weird like super late trail, braking and not touch the gas until you're straight, but not now they have figured out. So they've added rear steer to this, which really helps fundamentally alter the dynamics under braking, rotated under braking. And they have this thing called a LA which is active aero. So in the nose in down in the schnauzers here they have these two little flaps that can direct air either above or below the front splitter. And then you see this big crazy wing..

"So we pulled up my data which is off aim, oh, my aim solo, which I'm not sure how like right on that was because I'm pretty good at GPS, but sometimes I think sometimes they get a little weird. But if he or something a little said, one fifty five but my fastest time at road Atlanta wasn't even I didn't even go one forty, five fifty. So so it'd be a little off. No, no, wait. You mean your fastest lap was not the lap that she apparently had your fastest speed on the Ray. I actually was behind someone and he's, he went faster than me by six tenths super great driver. But I was closing in on him pretty fast and I lifted and I was like, if I had enough listed, I probably that's okay. Trophy, dude, trash record, right. What was that last lap number thirty three or something. Did it thirty three six. I don't know if my history books. Three fucking Subaru is mobbing thirty three, seven seven. And the sad thing is that I watched my video and I cringe in some areas. I'm like I'm such an English pastor. So it's weird. Shit like that happens like some some people have sent me. I guess a car and driver just did lightning lap, you know or they bring all the cards too. I think. I forget which was the fastest car. I think it might have been perform onto, but whatever it was someone sent me the video went. This was like the fastest car they had in like here here, and here he bangs the Rev limiter. Like here he's off the curb like this dude probably left, you know, three seconds on the table or something, and I can't analyze someone else's driving from their video. I'm not going to be that guy. I wouldn't want someone doing me my own. Oh yeah, your own its own worst critic. Totally understand the idea of being like, even when you get a fucking trophy and a record you go, oh, I put. I couldn't. Well, I was really wanting the overall like overall street model, which is only like six tenths away. We can. I play this. Let me see. This is my fast lap. I hope this audio doesn't go on. Oh, is this your? We can. We can't play YouTube videos on the show because of YouTube. But really I don't know if we have audio here, but here's you and your, here's you coming downturn under the bridge through turn, twelve and still sketch about twelve. Twelve is normally gnarly corner lifting on the downhill. There you stay flat the whole home. I'm about like seventy five percent. I can't do one hundred percent yet. I'm not that cool yet. Now, some people do. This corner. I crashed right there last year. Oh, I remember that turn one is nor Lee, if you don't get your breaking right. How big are you cutting on three here? That's a pretty substantial cut isn't right tires in the air. They're definitely working this man. You fucking mobbing. This thing I could have gone past. I see this and I'm just like, oh, would you want to analyze everywhere? We'll see. That's that's the point like I do all this and I tried it. I want to push the car as hard as I possibly can go take it a little more. Exactly. Say, I'm not gonna analyze anyone's. I should have been on the throttle. You can go to the. Is there another one? What happened there? Yeah, it's because Instagram. Oh, they cut it online, right. Okay. Yeah, there's turn six. Here's onto the back straight. Shifter. No, I went to fourth. Oh, that was a down Oga. That was like, I totally that corner away. I'm less time there to the worst driver ever Sally look how much interior you have about that also like your sharper image rear view mirror. You'll pay super wide review. That's quality. Sure you gotta.

"I liked the car better once I got rid of the rumble, even though I can appreciate what I hear one from a block away go. That's an STI. You probably it probably also had like the gears in that which is also like he was super red. I drove it a grid life, ginger men last year. It was awesome the the best WRX of ever driven. So like we just did the daydream gear set in my car. So it has the stock like one through four. But five and six short gears. So literally it's like first second, third, fourth, fourth, fourth. Oh, what's the drop from fourth to fifth sixty? Five hundred rpm like nothing. Dude. It's just like it's like Rocketship does have standard STI. Have like a crazy high theoretical top speed. Like in the one seventies or something, but like the gearing is not for road course like literally will shift over my old yourself. I was in fourth and fifth, it was like, and it out of the power back. Yeah. Well, just Boggs because it's such a long gear. So these short gears are fantastic, especially the road, like the back straight or Rhode Island, and we hit like one fifty five fucking moving in any was six to that point. Oh yeah. I was at the top of six. Like I was like this far away from like like red line top, and I was like, I'm glad the straight isn't locker. They'll see what just be like. That's a when you hate hitting that reve running gear. A little bit more that what do you crossing the kink at road Atlanta, like in the in the high one? Forties. Probably kink in the Ben. Like in the Bendon that straightaway I don't know. I'm still planning like I don't. I don't break until after the the Qingchen down your blade byu break, once you you go off and then it lands and then you break, right? No McCarthy pointed down. I'm just saying like, yeah, yeah, I think we were saying the same thing. He didn't do Johnny. I pulled my data like I don't actually look down. I don't expect you would because like I have, I have a warnings for everything just like a shift light oil light and like a don't die like that stuff. So if anything bad happens, it's go bent and then we'll look down at road Atlanta. Yeah. So I don't actually look down because there's really nothing and you look at there's no noises we're doing fine. It's a good thing because you didn't. You're just you're not focusing on what you need to be doing and going fast..

"Well, it's hard if you don't, if you don't have confidence in your car? I think for me personally, it's because I drive mostly streetcars and so you just, you know, if you do a couple of late breaks in a row, your brakes are gone. With a race car. You can actually do that a few times and then you're okay. Yeah. Yeah, it's made to do. Right, right, right. Okay. So you hit the wall with the cobalt SS. Yeah, it's been. And then I saw all the people out there, of course Subaru's. Right. And you know how many Mods or into different like. Things you can do with the Subaru. It's almost like endless there. Well, that's a terrible picture. It almost is endless. You know, I had a, I actually had a Subaru back in the day. I did. I had a legacy GT back in the day like a ninety eight the and we was when I was when I was in highschool. Here's all. I'm not going to torture people with the legacy DT, but, oh, it's terrible fucking picture. But. And I hit the wall. This was this was pre turbo Subarus in America. So everything had the NA to five that's still trucking along today. And I hit the wall and I sold it and bought a Mustang because all my friends at Mustangs in the parts catalogs were like this and it was like summit racing, I can get anything I need. I literally the, it's almost like endless, the possibility I was the now now a WRX you know, is that as well. Yes, yes, there's there's something for everything and there's probably ten of those things. All problems have been solved already. So yes, you, you saw the opportunity of modification and took it, and I was like, wow, I can really progress with this car. Previously. I, you hit a wall and of course they, they sound cool. So that was always a own equal or equal. What do you prefer. I like equalling. That's. Equals for me. It sounds like an ego way. No, which one makes it sound more unequal own equal is rumble and equal makes it sound more normal. Okay, cool. I don't get me wrong. I love the rumble. I do love it, but performance wise and has it been defined, which is which is better for power equaling this way, better equal is way better. What is the difference if you were to leave the same car and just change that? Do you know spool up time? All of those things are way better. The the biggest thing is that whenever you do a lot of this stuff talk into the mic dot around, I no kidding. I'm sitting on the other side of the Mike. See, we want to look around there. I'm so sorry. You just have to look right for. Lower lower at lower it and putting the thing up. It'll be okay if that's better, I'd rather you did that then had to move your head off the mic. See who I'm talking to. I know. Oh, boy. Oh, Jesus. Okay. Dow. A large thing is why we did the header, which is a header all the way back is because we, we had done a oil cooler. And when you do an oil cooler, you have the sandwich plate and you have all those things which if you had a stock a stock hetero on their, you're sitting like millimeters away. So you're like burning your own oils. Actually, we'd air intakes. Yeah, you know, you know the your, your blood of your engine oil coins, actually an oil heaters. Great in the Arctic. You know what I mean? If you're if you're like up in Alaska in the winter. Fuck. Yeah. Put the oil cooler right next year exhaust. You're real love. Heater. But that's why we, that's why do it even more clearance because you are essentially burning everything up. So in that that helps a lot in it's, I think it sounds fantastic. I, I love the noise at first. I hated it, but I really love it. Now a drove a j. d. m. STI that had that that great. Fuck in two liter, they've got over there in it. Oh, it had the the, the unequal, no, the equal dammit. I keep equal is the one that doesn't sound rumbling. Right, right. Okay. That was the best Subaru engine I've ever do. It's great. It was nice. I liked..

And you're working at a parts counter for what kind of dealer? GM dealer. Okay. And I had a friend and he was like an mini Cooper and he did like track days and he was like, Sally, you should go to attract date with me. He's like, you're into this stuff. You just don't have a car, but you're into this stuff. I'm like, what the heck's attract day. I'm from a small town. There's no tracks there. What was the nearest trout? Check data Rawla. Probably like gateway, but I don't even know if that was a track. Nobody's really heard of. I mean, he wasn't. I mean, just formula drift us went there this year. Yeah, yeah. Let's kind of a new track, isn't it? I knew ish has gone wrong. Wrong reason. I don't know. So like he's like, you should go to a truck day with me. So I did. I send it for a truck day and I had a ton of fun. I was absolutely horrible at no idea what I was doing. They weren't didn't have like HP d. day it was just it was just open drive your car. And so I did Trump farm obvious. Oh, it's awful. I have no idea what I was doing. Dude, my first track day ever. I was like an a cobalt SS actually go. Yeah, and I was like fraught real drive, understeering burnouts. And thinking I was doing good. It was so embarrassed at it now though. The fact of what I was doing is still cringe at its get a start somewhere. Of course, I had a really good time. I signed up again, and I think I want a few times with that car and then I realized that this car seats. Yeah, and I didn't take me long to figure that out because I was like, I was really adamant in wanting to like just do better just to do better. And I was saying lessons or just sort of like figuring it I was like, asking friends, okay. Like, hey, how did you take this line? Or how do you go around this quarter? Because like my car, I don't feel like I'm going very fast. I didn't know what the world how to mention it or like. How to like going very fast, how much horsepower do you have ninety. L. fast I can peddle so. About that. Okay. I checking the stream while I have to produce an listen at the same time, split split brain activities over here. So. Cobalt is terrible. So I actually treated in in. I got a cobalt SS. Oh, this one charge or turbo charge? The first one. Yeah. And I actually started getting decently quick..

Important takeaway really is this sense now that Chinese state media at least a stealing the country for a longer more drawn out fight with the US when it comes to trade in terms of how things play out from here. You your that list published by the Chinese on Friday. More majorly in the, next few days the next few weeks we're expecting potentially that, additional sixteen billion dollars worth of goods to, be targeted by the US to round out that first round.
