"That. Did bother me a little bit because that means whoever was able to cross border got over state lines to get this and that did make me a little bit scared him really bad. The investigator that was up. There was an investigative off startled him because he had never had anything like that. Happen it startled me because whoever it is can cross lines I thought by having everything shift in Minnesota, California people could mess with right? In fact state police are I don't know where where wasn't Minnesota but some sort flying team that's all we know nobody would identify anything other than that. That's peculiar and when you're talking about wiretaps US also not a standard police thing that sounds closer to, FBI? Yes. In part thanks it was because of maybe some of the stuff that some of these informants like Glen Rogers I don't know how far they work canarian lies the problem when you have Glenn Rogers saying Oh no, I worked with him. In his brothers were all part of them and they all work for them isn't warm. It's you don't know. What. All they really. Were informing for in him claim. Ahead psychical by the you know. Hired by certain people, can you do for you? Free Information Act? I. Mean I I would Oh, you're not gonNA get it. You're not GONNA get anything. Now from the OJ trial, we finally got the one followed Glen Rogers in Italy or Ron Goldman. is started six inches thick when we first had it investigator had in his hand. And then they came you can't have that sealed and took it from me, and then we finally got it and it was only six pages. So. The rest is all gone now. And I didn't even know until. After we'd already worked on that everything regarding the OJ trial is gone. I. Think it was Gil Garcetti. In somebody else judge gave it all to. I think you'll Garcetti controller whatever after seven years they claimed that it would earn up the net is nothing left of the OJ trial. So even at the hand murderer now there's nothing left from the original evidence. It's all gone I'm guessing then OJ's attorneys also got rid of whatever they had. I. Don't know what they did not get anything from. Them because he went through so many in I. Don't know about days. Attorney knew anything anything. I'm not for certain. They really knew everything I have a left field question. It's mostly because at Dodie Fed and that makes me think of the Royal Family and then I think Florida. So I think of another creep was he tied with Epstein I. Don't think so I mean some.

"Was about every year man on fire. He's already great just like when he's jonbenet Ramsey him when he gets rows which. I'm sure whether you WANNA call it or not. I mean if they draft off stack up Robinson Yeah competent. Wou would feel like right now thinking about this. By the way Jordan love is not going to be competition for Aaron Rodgers until two years from now you know less Rogers goes down on a throw the kid in there and all of a sudden he starts doing some special things but he's not going to be wasn't drafted to be competition right now. Glenn Rogers I did read to did Immediately text him a welcome to Green Bay. So that's good and we'll see the same thing with Carson Wentz and Jalen hurts See welcomed Philadelphia. See add that to. I don't know if you saw and if you set it already I'm sorry The one things that won't put on Twitter Eagles d'etre depth chart already says whence hurts Do you think Andy Dalton and call Joe Borough and welcomed in Cincinnati. I don't think so. Here's the thing here would be my advice for Zack. Taylor Mike Brown and Duke. Tobin the guys that are running the team out there you know. Let Andy go figure out where he needs to go. You cannot have Andy Dalton on that roster. He's got too many allies in that locker room. This has to be Joe Boroughs Team. Look. He's twenty three years old had the greatest college football season that we've ever seen. He needs to be done on day. One the man. There can't be an alternative in that locker room. Now I've been through this through it with David Klingler when he came and it was David Shula's first years a coach and it was a mess and it didn't work and ultimately didn't work for David Klingler so neither one of US liked it. Nobody you know. There's no way that Andy Dalton thinks of himself as a backup I know that in his heart he has the fire of. He has a big chip on his shoulder as well. And that's why the bengals should move on from him somehow. Either I don't know if they'll trade him. I don't know what what they're deal is with him. But I hope they don't keep him because that does not make sense because Andy Dalton does not see himself as a backup all right in terms of some sports coming back or not who knows nationals GM. Mike Rizzo tells reporters on a conference call on Friday that he absolutely expects a season this year. Which is more in line with what we've heard from rob Manfred which is all well and good. We really haven't seen any movement towards that so we will see In the coming days and weeks if there is any progress there there is progress with UFC UFC. Two forty nine. We'll take place in Florida on May ninth. They will do it without fans. And they've also set up dates on the thirteenth and sixteenth as well also without fans and they're going to be playing in an arena in Jacksonville. So there are moving forward. Haven't heard anything about the island About a week or so but They are at least going forward without fans Jacksonville and last thing for you wake forest fires basketball coach Danny Manning. His about this record is last three years in the ACC fourteen and forty two of them. That yeah that gets you. Let go these days. So there you go guys get your Moorestown lined up for next hour all right. Thanks Jerry and while we were talking to Jerry. The Vikings actually traded their last pick. That was in the fifth round. The first of the picks avenue three of them in the fifth round to the Chicago Bears. So you got some. Nfc North Trade action going on there to acquire more picks. I would assume now. I'm not seeing the details. Picks could be next year. They may be like to have too many for this year. So we're sorry what. What's that boomer is what you're talking about. The bears the bears Viking strenuously the cowboys and eagles made a trade to. This is weird. Yeah that's right I saw that also you got NFC east rivals and NFC north rivals making a trade within the last hour or so. It's totally but you never see that happen. And then it happened twice in the last hour. I was asking you which pick that the Vikings Trade. They traded away their first one in the fifth round. One fifty five. Then he yes. That's what they traded away so I don't know what the details but they did trade that one away and they have This al like this one there next. Pick one sixty nine. So that's their next one extent.

"I think I think there are more and I don't think a huge effort was made but he had bragged to acquaintances that Sandra Sandra Gallagher was actually his eighth murder in she. Her murder occurred before Andy's Linda's and Tina's so you know there's there's that to start in California. Glenn was suspected in four unsolved killings in Ontario port. Why niimi where the victims were either strangled or stabbed set on fire left in bathtubs. These were all similar to his other murders. There is a woman named Kerry Ellen Gaskins choose from Ohio. She was a redhead and apparently Glenn forced her into sex work and she was found stabbed to death and many believe Glenn was the one that stabbed her death and there are many many others with Glenn's work travelling to the carnivals. There's no way to no how many crimes he could be connected to but it's it's one of those things that that I've seen people looking at online trying to match up you know and and when you're a carnival worker you're not even necessarily sure which carnival you're working at because there's a bunch of different carnivals trying to match up who is in town the the the you know. These people went missing. These people went murdered. It's actually Batman returns. That was one of the story lines it was like there was a carnival in town and then people would go missing thing and it was because that was the penguin killing people. It's crazy that this stuff happens in real life and that's what this guy was. He was a menace that was around from town to town and just doing his thing and it's weird that there's still these like constructs and it's weird that sees things like carnivals still office crime so follows them yeah and it's this transient sort of existence that still breeds killings. It's like murderers in a way that it's like being back in the seventies. It's so strange yeah I mean I remember doing a just because like we were talking about. I'm kind of fascinated with carnivals carnivals and they were always something that I loved as a child I did a story for village voice and I went and interviewed all the different the people at the carnivals and the people and and you know the money on a carnival they were no and they were also you know the things that they have to deal with to a lot of people get get loaded loaded. There's a lot of often there's a lot of drugs there. There's a lot of gang activity that goes to the carnivals late at night and he was telling me about how guys would pull guns on him because he's like the gun guy guys pick at real guns shut yeah it was it was a it was a crazy story but then also sometimes at those carnivals you also have religious people going along with them and trying to proselytize because they know that they're going to be people that are following in the carnivals that that might be searching searching for something so it's you know it's a very fascinating. It is fascinating so when it comes to Glen Rogers the truth will never really been known as far as how many people he killed information about his background is convoluted for a lot of reasons and a lot of information as Jack said earlier comes from his brother clay came from the same dysfunctional poisonous background as Glenn the rest comes from Glenn who is a sociopathic killer so everything he says also needs to be taken with a grain of salt and several investigations were reopened following being Glenn's capture especially in the states where he had allegedly killed from tips. Police did a few excavations in search of more bodies but such efforts were inconclusive. Have even male victims were considered given the Mark Peters murder it looked as if Glen Rogers killed as much for Gagne as he did for sport or for some other type of sexual or emotional release. Glen Rogers lived for attention from women from the media from his mother anything in this being said it's something we have to bring up in case you Google Glen Rogers. We weren't gonNA bring it up because it's ludicrous. However when clay did his interview for my brother the serial killer he claimed that his brother Glenn Killed Nicole Brown Simpson and Ron Goldman admitted to killing them and yes Glenn also admitted to killing them but that is clearly untrue and the reason why he said this is because apparently he worked as a handyman in her building but there's no proof of that. This is evidence at all he he just said this and Nicole Sister Denise said this is total crap. This is bullshit no. OJ killed my sister and Ron in the Goldmans feel feel the same way. They both agree that this is a pathetic attempt for Glenn to get more attention but it is something like if if you guys go and Google Lynn Rogers for this it is the main thing that pops yeah bring it up but I want to know because we know people are going go to let me just it's one of those things where yeah and again it's sort of like when you think about him admitting to every other murder admitting to these ones that he obviously didn't Indu and still not admitting to the layer of her mom of Linda's yeah. That's just something it's a fury hitting but there was something in him that that made him feel about it negative amortization different. He's like that's uncomfortable. Yeah uncomfortable oh or ashamed. I don't know if you've can feel shame when you're somebody like him but I think he can. Yeah I think you can so where's Glenn Now well. He's in Florida on death row where has been for twenty four years. He's had multiple appeals over and over within those lost twenty four so Glenn Roger has been sitting on death row since he was sentenced in ninety seven and it's kind of interesting I mean first of all he was sentenced to death in both California and Florida and I'm not surprised that he was sent to Florida because we don't really execute people in California anymore. So that alone makes me feel like they wanted to execute him but they they haven't for one reason or another my grandmother and aunt and uncle aunt and uncle had to fly out Florida for the case in Florida and I spent a week there are so so they keep us up to date of what was going on tire and then of course he receives the death penalty there which was really. We thought he's got a death penalty. He'll be a matter of We'll get justice without. You know he's got choose. I don't think they they were not prolong. CBS No more than ten maybe fifteen years.

"Glenn Rogers swooped into Linda Prices Life at the Mississippi State Fair and within three weeks he not only completely ruined her life but he stole it as well leaving her daughter crystal and the rest of her family shattered and left to pick up the pieces. The thing is Linda wasn't the first beautiful redhead he seduced and murdered in cold blood nor would she be the last on our last US episode. We left off at the point where the police officers in Mississippi Handling Linda's case had connected with police department. Other jurisdictions were investigating vicious. She's homicides that it's similar ammos to that of Linda's and each woman had last been seen with the cazenove killer the cross country killer the man known as Glen Rogers Linda Prices Family is left in the throes of this nightmare of losing Linda Glenis missing and there's a nationwide manhunt in hunt underway to locate him in every day that Glenn remained free safety of women across the country was at risk. We still have crystal with us today to help. Take us through the remainder of her experience. Not only was it fear from only find now that there's other victims and you know it's hard for these. He's families and empathize with these families. They're going through the same thing we're going through their living a hail like we're going room and fear of Hammy more niche films. Are they're gonNA be are. They going to catch him. They ever catch him. Where's he at it. Was it was a nightmare. It was truly a nightmare as police searched for him. They started a piece together. His movements prior to his arrival in Mississippi so although Glenn was from Hamilton Ohio he was a drifter type and often often traveled and worked traveling carnivals around the country he was a carney and in one thousand nine hundred five he was living in Los Angeles California more specifically he was living in the valley and had an apartment on Woodman Avenue and it's no surprise that as violent tendencies followed him there. Glenn beat various girlfriends he'd been involved with breath and he'd been arrested for attacking two men in Hollywood with a knife which landed him a stint in jail and although those men survived the attack at Glen Lynn would start killing women by the summer of Nineteen Ninety five glens reign of terror began on September twenty ninth nineteen ninety-five around six thirty a m a nurse at the Laura would convalescent hospital which is located on Victoria Boulevard in. La pulled up to the hospital drove car into the parking lot behind the building in the corner of the lot. She could see a pickup truck with. Colorado plates parked near some trash cans and it was by itself. There's no other cars around the driver's side door was slightly ajar and she could see an arm and elbow in part of collegue of a man who is leaning into the truck towards the passenger side as if he was reaching for something from across the vehicle the man she saw pad shaggy shoulder-length Sandy hair and was wearing jeans and a short sleeve shirt so the nurse got out of her car car and when she looked back at the truck she noticed that there was smoke billowing up from underneath the hood of the car but the blonde man was still fiddling around inside and she was sketched out understandably she ran inside and told her colleagues when a group of them came out to see what was going on in the truck the truck was completely the engulfed in flames so when firefighters arrived on the scene they discovered a body in the cab of the pickup and the smell of gasoline permeated aided the scene as well in the lower extremities of the female body inside the truck were charred down to the bone but interestingly the floor of of the carpet underneath the body was mainly intact indicating that gasoline had been poured over the body and surrounding areas of the passenger compartment as opposed to the fire air coming from the actual explosion from the engine of the car so they could tell at this point it was looking like Ersan and when the LAPD homicide detectives arrive they examined the vehicle and there discovered a ladies handbag and it contained documents and photos as well as a marriage certificate found in the pickups APPs locked metal compartment in the back of the pickup the name on the documents belong to thirty three year old Sandra Gallagher and she was a redhead. The forensic pathologist who performed the autopsy on Sandra's body described her as quote severely charred down to the muscle she had bruising or bleeding on the right and left stern avoid muscles a hemorrhage on the right side of the lower part of her voice box and on the left side of her voice box bruising to the thyroid gland broken cartilage on the left side of the throat and multiple hemorrhages inside her talk and they said he Sandra had died from being strangled to death and she had also been in sexually assaulted so once the detectives had her name they were able to quickly track down Sandra's husband and Sandra was a Santa Monica native so this was was in van is oh this was in the valley and she was from Santa Monica so it wasn't that hard to track down her sort of next of kin when they spoke to him. They learned that the last time he had spoken to his wife was the night before she called him and said that she was at a bar called MC reds in Van Nuys in that she she intended to stay there for a few more hours she was singing. Karaoke with some new friends that she had made and basically after he had received this call from her they hung up he expected her home later but she never came and when they go to Grad they speak to bartenders and employees there who helped them paint a picture of the previous evening. Sandra had been in the bar the night before for many hours made friends with some of the employees and the regulars there who learned that she recently won twelve hundred dollars in the state lottery and she was out celebrating rightfully so she was driving the Ford F one fifty pickup truck with Colorado license plates that was she was found in because she recently got the car from her father who just died who had lived in Colorado and on the night she came in. She was wearing a pair of distinctive hoop earrings. She had had gone to McBride's in the early afternoon. Started playing pool glen came in and around seven o'clock pm he had recently become a new regular showing up to the bar two or three times a week during the latter part of September of nineteen ninety five so they talked to a particular female bartender and she described Glenn as being persistent he was always asking for her number was pushy about it and if the first time she said no Glenn showed up in the grads during each of her shifts for the next three weeks seeks constantly repeatedly asking for her phone number he would buy her roses and pull out roles of hundred dollar bills and by her by drinks for her and everyone at the bar and tipper big she said Glen had been with Sandra the night before and he was wearing cowboy boots blue jeans and Brown leather belt with one of those fancy cowboy style belt buckles is bleach blonde hair was long and it was feathered and he had had a neatly trimmed beard and Mustache so paint that in your head he approached Sandra who quote brushed him off and she continued to play a pool but Glenn as he was was persistent and Sandra eventually warm to him and they started talking and Glenn and was there with a few friends eventually they all left including Sandra. She was never seen again until she was found on fire behind the hospital and the Savak Kathak reds new Glenn's name now so did the lapd they located his address and arrived at his apartment on October fifth nineteen ninety-five four days after Sandra's murders so this is the nineties. It's ninety five. It's not as instance I mean. I feel like if this had happened. Now you could be at a suspect's house the same day a or the next day with warrants and such it took four days which is pretty fast. I think considering kind of the nuances of all of this so police this believed that Glenn had killed Sandra and they wanted to arrest him but as we know he was long gone on a Greyhound bus on his way to Jackson Mississippi sippy or he'd meet Linda Price at the Mississippi State Fair three days later so we know that Glenn Killed Linda the night.

"See your horn time before and we have two layers yeah. I just need to know that her. I guess I was in denial. She said what uneasy that we're GONNA. Have you can't which we're GONNA have to find certain things for her to wear. She can't just wear an average normal trip. So what do you mean. She said they're defensive wounds that she has a full cast own It's like a cast. You'd put on your arm if you break it but it goes all the way up to her top of her throat almost to her she touched her and going to go down pass tolls and it will go down. You'll be able go to fill it no matter where you touch touch her. I knew he had stabbed her but I didn't know the extent of the staff and she said well. The wounds are so deep that there's really not much they could do. She'd been laying there for numerous date on it comes down to the time to actually go in and view my mother we all go in and I had to wait. I wasn't I had to mentally prepare myself. I go in there and it was it was horrible. It was devastating you could say to her face had bought marks bruises or once. I got there I would not believe and within an hour we noticed and I said what's going on. She said get the funeral director see what's going on. He came in. He said we're going to have to close the casket because of her being as they were the embalming fluid was coming out where two that oppose that was one of the hardest things it was becoming pretty glaring to the police that Glenn was now. Their prime suspect aspect the public was quickly learned to the threat of this killer on the loose which is absolutely terrifying. He comes across his trustworthy intelligent a bit pushy but most of all pretty damn normal and they say they don't know what triggers the other side of Rogers which is the scariest thing of at all we kind of knew it was Glenn but actually started a detective started asking questions and they wanted to know this and Matt and the other in place things that we didn't take as son started popping often out like a sore thumb things that he said things that he did things that were seen all came in to perspective. If he has killed muster his no other explanation. There's nobody else that could have done it after the viewing portion of the service but before the funeral service itself took place Chris so in her grandma Carol went home to sort of regroup when they were there all of a sudden the phone rang in when she picked up the phone a male voice on the line set. Is this Linda's mother. Yes it is. I'm Glenn's brother. I'm looking for Glenn Rogers. We're looking for him to why my daughter has ended up dead. I want to know where he is. I'm not surprised that your daughter is dead because anybody that has been around Glen for the last. Seven years has ended up dead. What what are you doing. Why are you calling calling me. Your fucking daughter is dead isn't she. So the voice line is one that Carol recognized we go home astor's offers of Ewing and my grandmother receives a phone call. She almost phone calls. She's acid. She said Glen were you. I Wa aw did you leave us you know and that's when he kept saying don't say anything you will be watched. He tried to play it off but it wasn't him. That was his brother that made the phone call but my grandmother his voice that was him. He's telling us but if we speak to anybody nobody he will make sure that we're all killed. He will be watching us at the funeral and that we are not say anything new anything we're to just watch ourselves well. Of course my grandmother gets the cops involved and tells them Halo. We need security after his funeral watched where you know being threat so we get the security and we bury my mother. Nothing why we don't have enough stories that now we have to worry about a family as well as being threatening the phone start ringing with it calls from investigators and other states where young women had been killed in the same way police agencies from all over the United States in Canada. Were calling enquiring about this individual they had unsolved murderers. They were trying to connect them to and they did connect them to them. this time we get home from the funeral and wake how my grandmother gets called. There's another person fan that the has ties to Clinton. She was found in Tampa Florida so we're thinking. Oh Gosh you know what is going on. Here's another victim I guess it wasn't even a day later. My grandmother gets another call if there was a victim I'm in California Marc car so one call after the next came in to the Jackson Mississippi police there were female female victims one after the next all in their thirties all single and each having beautiful red hair just like Linda price. They believed that Glen Rogers could actually be a serial killer leeward terrifies. We were all afraid everything one for the situation hand. My mother had been murdered. There's just monster on the run for nights. We would stay at my grandmother's house or we we would head off but we wouldn't. We sleep with all the vice on Alma sales. I cannot be alone. I wouldn't stay on in the daytime and wants down nights if I went in the bathroom had you have somebody there with me for state out of school for weeks. I fear my family fearing that. Maybe he come pick live from stalled. Semi pick me up from school when I finally was able to go back just so I have someone that will follow me all through the school to make sure it was where I was supposed to be because we didn't know where he was that he was washing her so he was planning his next move or he was doubt now. His name leading knows it was a living hell. It was a living nightmare so they're reporting about. This case. Ace really kind of was out of control. The media covered it vastly in multiple reports actually though the police stated that they were unsure as to what triggered Glenn to the violence because there were also reports of multiple relationships he'd had were it didn't escalate to murder obviously where there was abuse or or other things like that but not murder but they were about to learn something that would offer a pretty big clue. Hey Hey everyone so the fact that fun twenty one thousand nine hundred fall box is on sale now and I just got my box and I've been obsessed with these harper and Ari exfoliating full eating sugar cubes that are green and they says when you put them in the bathroom and they.

I know you're not Keith because you don't have any of these services but the loudest voice on Showtime Okay. It's about Roger ailes his life Yeah Yeah <hes> saw the third episode last night where they mentioned Glenn they read some of the spin on this is amazing but he's in the scene where they mentioned Glenn Roger Ailes is just sitting in his office and I guess I don't know he's asked for somebody's resume and they bring him this packet and it's got Glenn's photo in it and some information on that supposedly his agent sent over now. If I remember this correctly they contacted Glen not the other way around but maybe they contacted him and so his agent sent over some information. I don't know anyway he pulls the photo of Glen that supposedly Glenn it's not actually him in the in the movie and he's Oh Jeez in Armadillo with a hairpiece what now whether or not Ale really Lee said that who knows how would you ever know that unless somebody in that room and there are only two or three people in that room shared it with someone. I don't know Armadillo with air PS. Where do you get that what now especially not at that time he didn't look like an Armadillo with a hairpiece but it's interesting how they portray ails especially in episode three while they're starting to make him look like an animal an absolute that monster and also a warmonger and a Super Mega Oltra conservative racist and I don't I'm almost positive he was not very very very conservative heard that yeah? I don't think he was racist and he certainly wasn't ultra conservative. He's he was in Establishment G._O._P.. Guy He was a guy I mean they've got they've got him battling with Karl. Rove will they had Karl Rove on the on the network all the time they also make him look like a religious nut and he was not a religious guy so I don't know how much of this is accurate. They did know one thing..

"So yesterday, we were talking about the twenty fifth anniversary of the Bronco chase with the OJ Cowan yet, and we're in the process as we usually do on Tuesday of talking to Tanya work. But right now, I don't know if she's in a meeting or whatnot, but we're going to find her, but back in those days, it's it impressed on me. How different it is. Now how people would be as opposed to back, then, which we all were where if you were in a bar or wherever you were you were gathered around at TV, you know what I'm saying, right? Because that's the only way you get that information. Now, if that happened today. Let's face it. You wouldn't be staying. I would be stand there talking to you about it. I'd have my ear buds in staring at it on my phone. Maybe staring on your phone. You'd be scrolling. Social media channels getting updates. I, I remember to the one the this isn't anywhere near that scale. But the, the fire the Notre Dame cathedral. I remember just sitting there instead of being glued to the television, just sitting there scrolling through, and getting updates. And in views from this person. Hey, I got this and this, this, this report and that sort of thing. So it's totally different now than is certainly was back then. Yeah. I know it's a fifty years difference. But think about that, when the moon landing happened, if everybody would have had their own device would have been just sitting there going as opposed to, I remember my whole family sitting in our living room, watching it together. And I'm talking about a lot of members of my family. I mean like cousins and stuff. There must have been twenty of the fingers household, and we'll watch this because we had the biggest TV which was probably about a twenty eight inch screen. You. And it was we had a color TV, it will, of course, it wasn't in color, and you could barely see it, but everybody came to our house to watch it. Right. That's you know, I, I know it's a different time. I get all that stuff. But man, I missed that kind of. Yeah. I mean, that's that community. You're talking community. No wonder why everybody's kind of, you know, spurring off here and spurring off there. And there's no sense of humor community with anybody anymore. And it's because the stuff like dance whereas that, because you got to get together and bounce off were like, wow. Did you see that or did you see this in kind of give your thoughts and now you can kind of go in their own little bubble? And just get, you know, certainly tons and tons of more information up to the second updated information, then you could then but it, it certainly different. Well, it's like going out to you. I think a lot about this with my family out of town. A lot of time to think so anyways, so he think about that back in the day you, would you be sending going man business awesome. In with whatever fifteen other guys sitting around bar, you got a beer, going some wings and whatnot. And you're watching this thing, and you're hypnotized and I remember that we were watching, I think, I think it was NBC for a while. And on half this green, they had the NBA finals and on the other half of the OJ, and I remember Bob cost is. I think I I didn't see the time I think Bob causes cut in right? And said, hey, by the way, there's a pretty big deal going on over here. I think they have finally wanted just cutting to just a Bronco chase. Let's go to the phone now. We tracked her down here on the acute hearing centers dot com hotline Tanya Rourke. How are you? I'm great. How are you guys? He believes in that long ago. I know we were just talking about it. Now. God, you were not here. You were in. Knock box. Mm-hmm. Yeah. I've worked at channel nine twenty eight year collectively but I worked here and then I went there for a year came back Knoxville. I was here in the newsroom, just oh, we all do there in awe of what was happening and you couldn't stop watching stayed at work for forever and ever. And then, like we're into a bar and down the street and watch it together. You know you just couldn't stop watching it, and we were not unlike anyone else in the world. You you're watching a slow speed chase of a white Ford Bronco and you're thinking what in God's green earth is going on here. But it isn't good. And. I mean I just I just remember thinking. Unreal. This is not real. That's not really happening. OJ simpson. Is not doesn't have a gun to his head. There is no way. Did you kill his wife? I mean, I you know, all of those things like this is not real. I thought it was gonna end him committing suicide. That's what fourteen time. That's what's going to happen. In terms of inside the newsroom, what, we're what decisions were being made what was being talked about in terms of the coverage how you guys are going to cover that. Well, the really belong in the short of it is, so at that point, national takes over, you know, and, and you just and I hate to hate to let you down that way, but it becomes literally they have taken over and we are we are watching it along with you. Now, we're wondering inter some sort of local angle here. What are we gonna do? But for the most part, we're just trying to figure out what are we next on the air? How long are they stay with this, and that becomes an issue, sometimes when, when national takeover, because we are we're like here, W word, ABC affiliate, so ABC can take control of our Airways, if they want to and, you know, they're going to break in with the big national news, it happening such as the Dickinson shave. And when that stuff happens you the newsroom, sometimes there's nothing you can do. There's nothing for you to do except wonder. How long do they stay with us? And are we ready to take over you condense down a show to not do the five o'clock we're going to start somewhere? They're gonna they're gonna come off here at five or five thirty show is only twenty minutes long. And how do we deal with that? So there's all kinds of like kind of mathematics going on. How are we making these stories all fit into our newscasts, once they give it back to us? What, what does that look like for us? But for the most part, when the J Simpson thing is happening. More sitting there with our mouths. Let's see what else can you do that you can do in Knoxville, Tennessee except go, let's go ABC. So we're just like in national coverage, and we're just all standing around in the newsroom, you know, in the newsroom, generally, like in our newsroom, we have banks is TV's, and you just stand, there together in, you just it becomes like a community. You know, you're watching this as a whole of the collected and going, whoa, you at the time. Kim, didn't how chopper at that time when I left I was only in nocco for one year that year and if that year the Tommy Tonya Harding thing that just happened. And then that and, and, you know, I'd never seen chopper coverage like that. You know, they were following that car for so long in Los Angeles. Of course, everyone has helicopter here that have one, but in LA every TV station on the planet has one and, and the way that they follow that, and the people being on the air, I remember thinking, I don't even know what he's anchors. How they're getting through this. They're just they're just talking about the most insane thing ever with about two sentences worth of information. We are all wrapped by this. Tony. I think I saw a number of the other day and correct me if I'm wrong. I think it was ninety million people were watching that at, at the height of it doesn't shock me in the fight to the shock, you know into your points on you. Everyone is looking at the TV everyone, of course, one answers what's going on? But the anchors sitting at that desk or any desk. Don't don't know really hardly anything because it's just coming in. Again, this is before Twitter when breaking stuff like this happens. I'm sure right now you your reporting. But you're, you know, you're kind of phone the feeds and trying to get anything you can. They're they're out there in the dark pretty much like everyone else. Sure, I'm sure that they had, you know, Eddie reporter or any field producer that, you know, in from LA to New York, or whatever trying to call every single person on the planet to try to get all. Any information they could. But and they were working sources. But I just recall thinking, how are they continuing to talk about this hours? Do we watch that? Do you recall? It does it say I was going to ask you. I don't remember. I felt like we watch that for right? Current evening because I rock yesterday. I was in DC with my parents, and my sister on vacation, and my sister, and I were just getting ready to go out walk down the street and get a little bite to eat. And as we're walking out the door that came on and I'm like, let's watch this for a minute. Well, I don't think we ever left. I don't know. We were there for at least two hours. Let's put it that way. Yeah. And you're okay so it is one of the things, I'm not sure if he gets covered this before I joined in the conversation, but, you know, you know exactly where you were you were fourteen rock wherever you fourteen. I was down in Paducah Kentucky on a baseball tournament. And we were done playing for the day, and I don't even know how someone someone like came up to someone who didn't even know you know, we're sitting there, all the parents of all of our players are sitting there, and they're like, hey, so she Simpson is in a Bronco right now going down the highway, in, they he may or may not have a gun, if they got a chopper, phony. And we're like everyone just like boom shot to the cars and went back to the hotel, and we all watched it like in the hotel lobby there. I mean can you imagine? So prior to that day. OJ Simpson was like God gift to us. He. American athletics. You know, he was the hurts guy, right? Yes. Exactly. He had so many. He was everywhere the super hot wife. You would see her show, but some stuff I mean was gorgeous, Nicole Brown Simpson. I mean, oh my gosh. You know. And I think we kind of forget about she. What was his name? I mean will that died along Nicole on Ron golden goal? I mean, you know, sometimes we focus so much on OJ. But the those two people, those two beautiful people lost their lives that day despicable way you know, what in the world, it wasn't even that day, though, wasn't it wasn't it like two days prior. And they come kind of closing the news on that this might be OJ and he took off. Yeah. Well, the murder happened. What, what was on June twelfth? Okay. Then yesterday was the anniversary of the actual chase. And you know, he's back on Twitter now OJ and get this child go. So he first of all, just the I mean, the timing of him starting this Twitter account on the day, the anniversary anniversary super super sick. I still looking for her killer. Isn't he of course? Yeah, golf course exactly every porzingas senior, telling you get this in six days, today's eighteen six days. He's already a mess. Seven hundred thousand Twitter, followers, seven hundred thousand which which speaks to what you were saying that we're talking about yesterday. His level of charisma. And just how people are just drawn to him. And in for good reasons for batteries, whatever it is. You just kind of has that affect, and I don't know. I think he's just kind of sick for seven hundred thousand people at an all of a sudden just be wanting to hear more and see what's going on. This guy's life their kids. You know, you couldn't this gracious those poor kids didn't grow mom was like growing up with a, you know, I want I, I would I would really pay big money to hear their thoughts on this whole deal. You know what do they? Well, they were little kids when this happened. So you know, Jay drilled into them. Hey, can you believe this stuff? They think your dad did. And, you know, I would never do something like this and they're little kids are going to believe their dad, their mom's gone for God's sake. Besides perhaps them, perhaps them, right? Is there anyone that actually thinks he didn't do it? Tell me on nobody. I can think of I yeah. It's, it's one of those miscarriages of Justice with the glove doesn't fit. You must acquit all the things we know because of that scrawny. I mean goodness we've had a guy on yesterday and you remember John Ekberg used to rank inquires, and he wrote a book, and he's, he claims that OJ didn't do it that the serial killer Glen Rogers did a Glenn Roger kick, poppy, our photographer. Lay singlehandedly Kat. And I seventy five. I do..
