It looks like a wrong -way driver is to blame came for a multi -car crash on the Beltway in Montgomery County late last night. One person was killed, nine others and the suspect is hurt. Maryland State Police say they started getting calls around 11 -45 about a driver heading found in the northbound lanes of I -270 near Rockledge Drive. Investigators say it looks like the driver continued to the Beltway, eventually crashing into two other cars near Route 355. to the left. One of the other drivers was killed. Police say the driver who apparently caused the crash fled the scene but is now in custody. If you're headed outbound or westbound on canal road. So playing accordingly, again, JW Parkway is always your better bet, forget the whole thing, Macarthur boulevard also works as an alternate to get through the palisades and Glenn echo. So lots of confusion there, but that I think is the distillation of the situation.
