"And leaning on others and having other people understand what you're trying to process as well. And at the same time, there was a lot of very selfless people jumping into action. And trying to make sure that the people on the ground out in California were getting the resources they needed as well as the information was properly being spread so much of that now with the digital space is making sure that what we are saying is correct. And we're not adding to misinformation, especially around such difficult and close to heart topics, like what happened. So it was interesting being in that type of space and in a way I think it was really healing for a lot of people. Yeah. Yeah. Thank you so much. This has been great. We just really appreciate you joining us today and giving us your perspective. But you can't get out of here without answering our rapid fire questions. Are you ready? Yeah. Okay. Well, we actually had gisele betterman on the podcast a couple of weeks ago and she was so lovely. Can you tell us what the best part about working so closely with giselle and John is? Well, gisele and I are besties now. Nice. Actually, she texted me pretty early on in my time on the campaign. After we had met a few times and she was like, can we still be besties after November 18 and I was like, of course. Which we have, we kept in touch and it makes it a lot easier to work for just good people in general. And the fetterman's John giselle, the kids, the parents, everyone was just so fantastic. And they really are who you think they are. You know, I assumed meaning giselle, she was going to be this kind, loving, very bubbly person that I knew her through the interviews I had seen in her social media and what I had heard.

"Get invited to because the dessert sections are just amazing. Oh, nice. All right, so we won't tell anyone, but who's your celebrity crush? Bill Murray. Oh, I was not expecting a Bill Murray. Always forever. Bill Murray's been the forever. So what's something you like doing with your kids on a weekend? Elastic stuff with a dog. Like we go out with the dogs a lot. Lots of art. We're artists here. So I think that would be the two things we do a lot of. Oh, nice. What are you most excited for about 2023? A blue Pennsylvania. Oh yes. But the first time since 1962. We need some tips here in Ohio. Do you have any good tips for Ohio? How you did that? We did a lot of campaigning with Tim Ryan and I'm sorry for the outcome. I know, that was a sad loss. I was like, oh, but I was like, oh, we did all right on Congress, but Tim Ryan was a sad loss for us. I know. All right. So that is the end of our rapid fire questions. Where can people go to find out more about you and your work? They can find me on Instagram as G fats. Or Twitter, and then you'll get links to everything there. Free store one 5 one O four for good Pittsburgh or some of my projects. Awesome. That was so great. Thank you for kicking off season three with us on the suburban women problem. Thank you so much. Welcome back everyone. Amanda, it sounds like you and gisele had a great conversation. She's so authentic. She's really nice. I really enjoyed hearing everything you all had to say. She is genuinely kind and kind hearted. And it is so nice to speak with someone like that because you hear the other side and I don't want to judge, but some of them just don't sound kindhearted. Like ever. So to hear how kind hearted she is and this big heart she has just for making her community better and the people around her, you don't have better opportunities was really nice to hear. It's easy to tell where people's strengths lie because you can tell how they're attacked by the other side. Oh yeah. And the fetterman's were constantly attacked as being baked and it just wasn't true. I mean, you could see with your eyes. You might not agree with all of someone's policies or what they want to do, John federman is very progressive. And I have to think that there are some moderate Democrats who might not be in favor of all his policies and probably some moderate Republicans as well, but clearly he won them over. Yeah. And there's a thing about authenticity. When you are authentic, when it's like, what you see is what you get. This is who I am. You might not always agree with me, but I'm a genuine person. And I'll take that over George Santos any day of the week because I know what I'm getting, right. I think when people attack kindness as fake is because they're very mean.

"You were so close to not even being there. And now you're all like, put your chest all puffed out. Like I just don't understand, like, is that like what extremism does to you? It just makes you that delusional that you still think you're so big and bad when the voters clearly almost fired you. I mean, yeah, I think there's a lot of insecurity there. And you know, I mean, she was all buddy buddy with Marjorie Taylor Greene, and then they had a falling out over this whole thing, and okay, whatever. But I think that's fundamentally, because they don't actually have anything that they believe in. Right. It's all for personal gain. So if that is, you know, if this selfishness or self centeredness or just me first type is what is your guiding principle, then that's all you're going to seek to do. And I really think that's what we saw play out the first week of January. Unfortunately, I think it's we're going to see it play out for two years. I think that's how they prefer though. They like chaos over policy, right? And they're like, oh, let's vote that you can now smoke and Washington, D.C. capital instead of like, I don't know if it's inflation. Like, come on, the chaos is what they really love. And it's interesting to see the Republicans in disarray and Ohio meant that while we have to work with Democrats, if we want our caucus to win. And it's interesting to see I don't really see that happening there, right? Right. So if you're factoring yes, find some Democrats who will vote with you and that you can get some bipartisan things done, which will help more Americans, but really that's not their goal. Right. I mean, I think on the state level, you probably see more people who are generally interested in representing. And actually getting good things done. And on the federal level, I think a lot of times we don't have that. But the real problem foreshadowing, let me just tell you you're going to hear me say this a lot this year, I think, is we have to stay diligent and we have to keep talking about their dysfunction because if you recall, they tried to portray as democracy as messy and all this stuff like this haven't effing happens in a hundred. Sit down and shut up. Not the way it works. No, they are not, they can not govern. And on top of that, they kept saying like, oh, this is democratic process is transparent. No, it wasn't. Oh my God. Closed door meetings, backroom deals, like all of that's what we saw play out over four days. A 100%. People still didn't exactly know what was promised to these people for their vote. So no, it wasn't messy. And it wasn't necessary what it was was them putting on display exactly how the next two years are going to go. Lots of backroom deals, lots of negotiations happening to basically hold on to power. McCarthy is basically a man with a piece of wood, not really a leader with a gavel.

Yes, the sequel to enchanted is here on Disney+. It's called disenchanted gisele played by Amy Adams, fairytale life in New York City has now faced the realities of living in the real world. She gets disenchanted with living in New York City. They move to a sleepy suburb called monroeville, and there she gets a hold of the wishing wand, which is now going to bring us into this new story. We have a new evil Queen B I would say a Karen in Maya Rudolph as a villain, but we also have a Karen and Amy Adams in giselle because she gets a little stepmother, spirit with this whole wishing well thing, so she fights the dual realities of herself and Maya Rudolph's character in malvina Monroe. It's a very fun film, a lot more music. It's so much fun, disenchanted, check it out this weekend. Meanwhile, a lot of people are also excited about this follow up to a Christmas story decades later. A Christmas story has always been a holiday favorite. And so now we have the long awaited sequel for that. This one takes place in the 70s, but Ralphie Parker is back. He is now playing the part of the father, essentially his dad died, and so now he has to go back home with his new family and bring Christmas cheer again. It follows the same beats of the original, so if you love the first film, I think you're gonna enjoy this one. It's essentially the same film again, but with an updated take with Ralphie as the father. A lot of fun, a lot of nostalgic moments. Check it out this week and getting us into the holiday spirit on HBO Max. Is it fun? It sounds a little sad. It does start off at 'cause we have the loss of his father, but it's about bringing that spirit back. Even though we're at a time of loss, we gotta remember the good times and we also see a return of Ralphie's Friends flick his back, Schwartz's back, some of the skits we know that happened. Nick Cannon 'To Pay Nearly $3M a Year in Child Support

"Nick Cannon, according to a family law attorney, this is just an estimate. This is not necessarily he don't have the evidence or the records from the courts to back this up, but just based on the net worth and the income of Nick Cannon, he has to pay roughly $3 million per year in child support for 12 kids. Can you believe that? I'm telling you, I'll never I'll never back down from this point. I think the way our system of child support and all this stuff is run is a scam, it is a scam. And I just tell you guys, and I don't want to speak too much about my own personal stuff 'cause I don't want to get in trouble in the court of law. But you know, there are certain things when you go to court, they make you pay a crap ton of money. I'm paying thousands of dollars and we haven't even gone to trial. And they forced me to do a parenting class for four hours. I don't have four hours to do this class, but you know what? They force you to do it. Mandate you do it, and it's not free. They make you pay for it. They make you pay to do a parenting class. You guys got to be kidding me.

"Radio. Now, a global news update, the man who allegedly attacked Nancy Pelosi's husband is being identified by police, authorities believe David depape entered the San Francisco home this morning and attacked Paul Pelosi with the hammer. Nancy Pelosi's office says her husband underwent successful surgery to repair a skull fracture and serious injuries to his right arm and hands vice president Harris is condemning the attack, she spoke to reporters in Philadelphia. This morning, and this was an act of extreme violence. Inflation shows no signs of slowing the personal consumption expenditures price index, which looks at the cost of goods and services ticked up by 5.1% on a year over year basis. Tom Brady and Gisele Bündchen have finalized their divorce after 13 years of marriage in an Instagram post Brady said they arrived at the decision amicably and with gratitude for the time they spent together. I'm Brian chuck. You're listening to masters in business with Barry riddles on Bloomberg radio. I'm Barry Rudolph, you're listening to masters in business on Bloomberg radio. My extra special guest this week are the jeremies, Jeremy Schwartz, chief investment officer at wisdom tree, and professor Jeremy Siegel, perhaps best known as professor at Wharton and author of the book, stocks for the long run now in its 6th edition and how many of these have you sold? It's got to be hundreds of thousands of thousands. Wow, that's the issue. I want to talk about the state of the markets today. But before we get there, I want to just mention and ask you about some of just the key points within the book that through all these editions have not changed. Have been consistent, starting with what is the long run return for stocks, both in nominal and real inflation adjusted terms? Well, I mean, that was the first edition data through 1992 from the bidding in 19th century, 6.7%. That's real, real. Dividends. Total return, 6.7% stocks, compound annual. You add 30 years, and we went through to June of this year to make sure we got the recession in 6.7%. Unchanged. The same exact change. Given everything that's happened in 30 years, the financial crisis that COVID crisis, the dotcom boom. Yeah, and bus, I mean, through all of that, the real return is remain the same. And bonds were about half of the loans were half but are much less now. I mean, the real returns. Well, when bands interest rates peaked in 2000, it was a great 2030 year period for bonds. Right. And I remember saying on all the networks in 2021, that the 40 year bull market because it started in 1981 with the peak through 2021 was over. It's over with a vengeance. Even more vengeance than I thought it was going to be over with. With a vengeance. And the real return on bond has been absolutely terrible, as we know. On a comparative basis, even worse than stocks since it actually not since the bull market ended, but at that point, but from the low point in 2020. So I said something at an event where I had sent to a group of young people, hey, if you're in your 20s, 30s, 40s, you really don't need bonds in your portfolio. You have a such a long horizon. You don't need that ballast. You go even further than that and say, most portfolios could be fine if their equity only. Yeah, I mean, you know, what we show, I mean, and this hasn't changed over 30 year periods in real terms after inflation, stocks are less volatile than bonds. That's wild. So now you have the ten year 4% or so depending on when this broke. At what point are we done with Tina? There is no alternative to stocks. At what point do bonds get cheap enough where they start to look attractive? Well, a lot of people it's interesting. Our talking today and they say, look at 4%, I can lock that in for, well, even two years through the four and a half. I said yes, you can lock that in, but you know after two years I'm going to stock market is going to be 20 to 30% higher than it is today. Really? That's a bold move from it. Yeah. Hold on, let me just see if I can buy some out of the money call out. Yeah, it has to be long dated though. Go out to you. You can get out two years. And by the way, when people tell me four and a half percent is good, and certainly is good to router than that. To zero. Zero. But let me ask you, that's before inflation. And when the long run on stocks is 6 after inflation, tell me how you're going to be better off in the long run. It sounds like you're not. You should write a book about that. That's right. So the one question I always forget to ask and I wrote it down so I'm not going to forget to ask is gold tell me your thoughts on whether long men and gold. Is less than 1% above inflation. So it's basically an inflation hedge long run. Now, what's happened with gold, it hasn't, it is failed, so to speak as an inflation hedge. I mean, does that surprise you? You would have thought 2022 should have been the year gold exploded. But I think the big difference. Is I mean, I think that in the early part of this inflation Bitcoin usurped the role of gold. Millennial digital gold. Digital, millennial gold, they wanted to go to that and it was sold as an inflation hedge and that's another thing that made it go up too high. What Bitcoin, Bitcoin? Yeah, but Bitcoin ran up when inflation was under 2%, right? Yeah, but that was the innovation and all the rest. And then it was being sold as the inflation heads because the truth is there is going to be a limited number of bitcoins. It's not a limited number of dollars. So there was some logic to that. That makes sense. No, it shouldn't go up as much as it did, but the logic was, it is the new inflation hedge the Bitcoin it serves as the gold where in 19 78 79 and 80 people rushed to go, there was no Bitcoin. People now were rushing to Bitcoin and the younger people don't care about gold and it wasn't driving them. And then we need to do a disclosure on this because my firm and your firm wisdom tree and results wealth management work together on the Jeremy give us the full. With some tree crypto index or basket of 1415, we bogle eye crypto, which he was trying to index more diversified exposure than just Bitcoin or so full disclosure, that's out there. But you're going to say something about Bitcoin. I want to say something about gold also. I think golden dollar terms has been a big failure. Golden yen terms has been great golden Euros right now. I hate that argument. You know why? Because people always tell me you should have gone back in time and bought gold in fill in the blank. Two years ago, well, nobody said that back then. It's easy to look after the fact, isn't that just a currency bet? Well, the point is

"Gas wasn't no $5 when he took office. He drove the gas price up to $5 and even higher in many cases in California. You got people paying almost $10 a gallon. Donald Trump had the gas lower. And you got to think Donald Trump did this in a pandemic. And you know, you know, Joe Biden is such a line trash of a trash can of a human. They all lie. Donald Trump inherited a pandemic. I would call it a plandemic. He inherited that. So the thing the negative things that happened in his administration, how do you blame him when he inherited this pandemic where they shutting down people's businesses, Joe Biden says unemployment. We created 400,000 jobs. No, no, you didn't. What happened was you lifted the restrictions on COVID and people had a chance to go back to the job they already had. You didn't create no new jobs at a thin air. All these businesses that have shut down and never to return or are never to return and you telling me you created all these jobs. These people are lying. Kari Lake Leads Katie Hobbs in Latest Polling Numbers

"The trashiest candidate that I have ever seen in my life is definitely Katie Hobbs. She literally runs from a debate. She can not articulate herself. She has no values for the Arizona people. And Carrie Lake is drowning her politically. Loopholes have come out and has Carrie Lake and 54% and Katie Hobbs at 43% giving her 11% advantage and you know when a Republican has 11% prevented advantage. That's like a 20% advantage. You know, she's probably blowing her out of the water. However, this is what I want to tell you guys. Do not let your foot off the gas. Put your foot on the gas pedal to the metal. I want you to stomp it till you twist your ankle. I want you to hit the pedal on the floor that hard. Because we need to run up the score, it's not enough for us to win. We need to landslide these people. It's not enough for you to look back and say, I'll carry us up, you know, by living points. It's totally fine. We're going to win. So if I got away for three hours in the line, then I'm not going to wait, you know, we got this in the bag. Do not believe the lies. They manipulate posts sometimes. It may be actually closer than this. I don't think it is, but it could possibly be closer than what they're projecting, which is like voter suppression. They make you feel like you got it in the bag so you don't show up. And then what do they do? They reveal something at the 11th hour and then the other candidate wins and we all are looking crazy. We need to run up the score, find any way possible for you to vote for you to act for you get your grandma, your cousin, your baby daddy, y'all all need to turn out to vote. Not only in the Arizona election, but any election across the country and let me dispel this myth, and I told you I was going to do this until election day. My extra special guest this week are the Jeremy's professor Jeremy Siegel of Wharton and Jeremy Schwartz of wisdom tree Jeremy Siegel is famously the author of a number of books, most recently, the 6th edition of the bestselling stocks for the long run. It's on everybody's all time favorite investment books. And now I see Jeremy schwarz, you've been promoted to a width. You're with Jeremy Schwartz. Jeremy has helped me and he mentioned future for investors, but more than that through all these additions from the third on and he really deserved recognition and I'm really pleased to congrats on the width. We're going to come back to that before we digress back to stocks for the long run. You recently were on TV where you had quite the rant about the fed and not only was it a bit of a, what is the fed doing? They're late. They missed inflation to start. They missed the peak of inflation. They're over tightening. It went totally viral. I think not just because people agreed with you, but you were very passionate. You were very excited about it. Tell us a little bit about what led to that and what your thoughts are on. Where we are with the Federal Reserve. You know, I interviewed me how many months ago I forget. Yeah, no, that was right after the pandemic. And I told you that they're going to be huge amount in inflation. Yep. And you said both fiscal and monetary. We're going to cause a search. Yeah. And I was yelling about it through all of 2021. And the fact that they didn't begin to pivot until the November of 2021 and they didn't start doing anything until I'm still getting excited about this. March 2022 is unforgivable. It's gross negligence as the steward of our monetary system. And that it makes me emotional because I've taught this subject for half a century and I'm not saying that anyone that's at the fed and I was a student of mine, but we would have been better off if they were. Maybe, well, I hate to say it, but the answer is yes, they will. They had a chance to put them as part of the fed and they didn't take them up on that. Well, it's a very interesting. I mean, actually, under Bush, I was nominated as the fed, and then I started the process and then it got a call and say, Jeremy, the Democrats are going to hold it up because they're going to be a presidential election. They think they're going to take over and you know, so let's wait and see what happens. You've done more good from your post at work. Yeah. That has 6 year posted. And you know, it often is like Milton Friedman, who refused to take a post in Washington. He said it just compromises you. I'd rather be a critic from the outside. Plus the weather. He was a critic from the outside and an effective and an effective critic from the outside. Did do that. But so I was young and screaming. I said, is Jay Powell behind the curve? I said, he's so behind the curve is he's up in the bleachers. The pitcher's throwing to the catcher at home plate. That's how far behind the Kirby was. So the fed has a giant research department. They have wonderful economists really smart. Well, I don't know how wonderful they are, Barry. I'm going to say this. They're not so wonderful. I don't know. I mean, because they were the ones that kept on saying this is temporary inflation. They fed that. I'm sure to power in the others, and they bought it, hook line and sinker. And you know, what also upsets me is the fed was designed 19 it only has 18 members of the federal open market committee, and it's supposed to be diverse opinions. There is virtually no diversity opinion. You would think that, you know, at least out of those 18, three or four would say, hey, we're just way over stimulating here. We're going to have trouble if we don't stop. Not a word. That upsets me too. They're not being constituted. It's groupthink. It's group thing that's totally dominating the fed. All these things are happening at once, and that's

The Case for Respecting Law Inforcement

"All right, so I want to continue this conversation, you know, we spoke about how the disconnect and how the media has been such a detriment in the relationship between law enforcement and the community and then also police officers being demoralized. You know, I say dehumanize demoralized defunded. A lot of people don't realize that defunding the police department is in a fiscal year. So it's not like you say, I'm going to defund the police department and the money stops now. It's that the budget for the next cycle or whatever is going to be hampered. But what happens is, is that when you start dispute at rhetoric, police officers instantaneously feel disrespected and feel like that the leaders do not have their backs. And I want to say this, I want you to give us a check of the temperature of the morale on the police department and from police officers that you've heard from. And also, do you think this is an ebb and flow? Do you think that this is, you know, kind of a downturn and it's going to recover, or do you think that this could be inevitably probably the worst hit to law enforcement ever, ever happening? Well, this is the worst hit for law enforcement I've ever seen. We've survived being through where I were in. We've all survived the private king engineer. We survived the ramparts candle and other things across the country. Because deep in the back of people's minds, they knew they needed us. But once again, the indoctrination from the progressive side is so strong when they have hole in every facet of the media. Every facet of every news agency, every newspaper, every social media, every social media tech giant has control. We are now responding from a deficit, but it's going to be difficult. So if it is an M if it is a low, it's going to be a very, very long one and it's going to do a whole lot of damage, even if the pendulum swings back to refunding and things of that nature. Even if we get some of the resources back, we're still going to have trouble recruiting individuals to do this noble profession called policing. And finding out like I did. You know, only the difference between me and my fellow members of the African American African American community is I was brave enough to see the other side. I was brave enough to see it for myself. And when I was able to save lives, I got high. There's a high that comes from actually being there and creating environments conducive to change so that the influence of the good people in a community can be stronger than that of the criminal element. That's our job as law enforcement. the confines of the constitution and doing it the right way.

Every Movement Needs an Enemy

"I want to finish the conversation we were having. It was about 2020. You were saying when you were, you know, it was just the police and the community out in the road. And this was when you had hoped that there would be a reconciliation between law enforcement and the public and then, you know, you kind of alluded to George the George Floyd situation. So I'll let you continue and pick it up from there. So what happened after the George Floyd incident? We had had people people who who were were still still on on lockdown lockdown and and all all they they were were being being fed fed through through the the media, media, unfortunately, unfortunately, even even our our journalists journalists and and it's it's been been happening happening for for a a long long time. time. Some Some not not all all became became activated. activated. So they were all looking for ratings. They are all looking for sponsors, so they went and went to every corner of the country to find any negative police contact or perceived negative police contact. And they kept showing an over and over. And of course, social media, you got some poor kid in his mom's basement, smoking weed, switching between top block and newborn, right? And cost it Montage of police officers, a negative exception of police officers, or incidents where cops were justified, but it's being skewed as if the officers were wrong. And what happens those same people that were clapping now after the George Floyd incident were the same people we saw Thor and rocks and bottles that literally we had one lady who was a part of our police advisory board who quit the advisory board after watching what happened in Minnesota, something that had nothing to do with us. See, she knew that I housed 150 homeless people. She knew that I've sheltered hundreds. She knew that. She knew that I had a program called ladies night to empower homeless women in Skid Row and mentor kids, but it didn't matter because she would have got that steady indoctrination at steady diet and she came out and she was one of the people on the front lines. She's giving us the finger yelling. And it was a really hurtful time. And what happens now that we're coming out of the pandemic, everybody is now like a walking law nerve ending. You know, so people who are ultra sensitive, people have been divided. Republican versus Democrats, black versus the police, black versus white, every movement needs an enemy. And of course, BLM antifa chose the police. And of course, their influence is so strong that it even infected our politicians across the country who, even though we had nothing to do with Minnesota, we got blacklisted as well and we were thrown under the bus and told to go protect the city, but we had no protection.

A Conversation on the Connection Between Police and Community

"Dion did LeBron James ever follow up with you on that request. No. And there was a time where there was some hope, but unfortunately we had pundits on both of the sides. I'm not a political person. I can't stand the extreme left or the extreme right. Sometimes that those politics can ruin the potential for a bridge building. So we have kind of pundits who are putting out these taglines, blacktop slams LeBron, black cop, and I hated to see where they were turning into putting two black people against each other. And then we also had some people in the media. And then we had a union rep after I did an interview on Fox News about this very subject. Come on after me and say, oh, LeBron James needs to be arrested. I'm like, for what? He was just expressing himself. He just needs to be educated. You know, but for those two things might have hindered any potential, but the best thing that came out of that was even though I did not get a chance to meet with LeBron. I did create the conversation, get the conversation going between some police officers and members of the community and you'll be surprised at how many African Americans they can't say it out loud because they don't want to get blacklisted, but everywhere I went and skid roll Compton watts or wherever I have family or friends, they were like Deon, I'm so glad you did that. And it's sad they can't say it out loud, but they were really proud of what happened. And of course, I had some haters. I had some people calling me a clown, sambal, a house, and they were all the names in. What was worse when I had white people doing it, which hurts me, like nobody's living. When white people are trying to tell me how I'm supposed to think, that just drives me insane. As a black man, you shouldn't, you know, that gave me generational deja vu, because my great, great grandfather, as a black man, they told him that he couldn't own businesses. And we couldn't walk on the sidewalk and because he chose to run a business in a town where he wasn't supposed to and walking a sidewalk, a 16 year old white child killed him. So I thank you for not putting a bullet in my head, but no one's going to tell me as a black man who I can be what I can speak to and how I feel. So those are the things that came out of it that were negative. But for the most part, I had a lot of support for people and it was a blessing. It was a blessing.

Officer Deon Joseph on What Inspired Hhim to Become a Police Officer

"How did you become a police officer? Like, what inspired you? What was the tipping point? Have you always wanted to be a copper? Was it some phenomenon later in life? Absolutely not. I hated police officers with a passion as a young African American male. Like many, I was indoctrinated to hate and fear law enforcement. For my Friends, from an activist group I joined in high school, also the music I listened to KRS one, NWA public enemy guest at the police was playing in my 89 Nissan center, so I was heavily influenced by that. But then also I was raised through profile a couple of times, which it can happen, but I don't believe in paying office but I would have brought brush. Now I don't. But a couple of things have been the right king infinite hit. Didn't leave a good taste in my mouth. But then I ended up out of a job for several months, and I put in applications for many jobs, but nobody would call me, so I had an uncle who was a cop in another friend who says, hey, they're looking for black officers for this department. I was like, is that department? Oh, hell no. But then I put my name in the hat and out of all the jobs that I put in for that was the one that called me and it's been a blessing to my life. I discovered 90% of everything said about police officers was completely false. I wasn't being taught to hate my people. I wasn't being taught that black people are targets. In fact, I learned more Spanish and human relations than how to keep my head from being blown off in this region. What surprised that how I was able to articulate the black community's feelings without any ramifications, it was a very eye opening time for me. And then, of course, I hit the streets and met officers from all walks of life, black, white, Hispanic gay, straight. They were just all for the most part, wonderful human beings.

"Curious Canadian who was with us on the intro. Holy Jesus. That wasn't episode. Things I never knew and quite frankly, I feel like things I never wanted to know. But David, curious Canadian, what do you got for me? Well, I thought at the end she was gonna charge us a retainer or hit us with a nice hourly fee because that was when you say educational. When you say educating the consumer, that was all of those in a nutshell. I learned a ton and like you said, some of it was like good to know when someone was like, I hope I pray that I will never have to know or experience some of these things. I thought it was an episode where we weren't sure how it was going to go and my oh my, I think that that's going to resonate with a lot of people. Well, it's the perfect intersection of money career and personal life. Like one thing we talk about in our family toast, we have a family tells health wealth and happiness. And so like this impacts your wealth, it definitely has an impact on your overall health and professional world and certainly happiness. I did like to tie in when she said, I've seen these people. They get the alimony. They get 50 K a month. It doesn't make them happy. It really doesn't. So as a curious Canadian, the voice of viewer, what are some takeaways you have or questions you're thinking about? Well, takeaways, I think we should market this podcast to be the only people that are talking about Tom and gisele not getting divorced. I think that everyone has it as a foregone conclusion, especially us in the intro. And she was like, no, no, no, no, no. That was leaked. That's something that's preemptive. There's no sign or no for sure thing that says they're going to end in divorce. So I think we need a little sound clip saying, this is a hot off the press. They are not getting divorced. That was one takeaway, because I thought it was a foregone conclusion. How about you? Yeah, I mean, I didn't realize that a lot of people engage in attorney and they actually don't pursue it at all. They're just interested in what they're kind of rights and what it would look like. But I don't know man. I still think if you're engaging in you're paying a retainer for a divorce attorney, I don't know. To me, it's like clearly you're taking the next steps. All right, so I was going to get you to define retainer, but I want to ask a question first. That might answer it for me. How much do you think Tom Brady's divorce lawyer is going to cost for a retainer? Oh my God. I mean, just based on her saying like 250 K for the high profile. I'm going to say a minimum of 250 K dude, I can't believe the 25,000 an hour for some of these high profile attorneys, like what? Crazy. And then the Brad and Angelina that goes on for 7 years. 7 years something comes up a couple people have to work on her case 25 K in the mail.

It would be a good Friday, but that might confuse you and to think it's the good Friday instead of a good Friday, but hopefully it'll be a great Friday. I'm Steve Gil filling in for Todd, and you know, there are major issues affecting our globe, our country, we get gas prices or spiking up. You've got zelensky and Biden slouching us toward Armageddon. You have the economy continued to be in freefall. Millions are coming across our border illegally, but what are most Americans talking about today? The Tom Brady gisele divorce prospects. So let's get the cultural stuff out of the way quick get it out of the way early and get to the things that can destroy our family our economy and our future. So let's talk about Tom and giselle. So Tom Brady and giselle have apparently both hired divorce lawyers. Some of my friends are already joking that after they split their assets, gisele, is it giselle or is it gazelle? Gazelle, anyway, misses Brady, well, apparently end up with more Super Bowl rings than Aaron Rodgers. I mean, by the time Tom divides his, she will have more Super Bowl rings than Aaron Rodgers has, which is kind of a commentary in and of itself. In any event, the speculation is that she's upset that Tom has decided to keep playing football. I don't want to get into the romantic relationships of people. I don't want to try to give people domestic advice. I'm the last guy in the world that should do that. But honey, he was a football player when you married him. It's not like he was an accountant working at the accounting firm down the street and all of a sudden he had a midlife crisis, decided he wants to try to be an NFL quarterback, completely disrupted your life, and all of a sudden he's an NFL goat, the greatest of all time. He was what he was when you married him. It kind of be like if Tom Brady started complaining and seeking divorce advice over the fact that there is so much women's cosmetics in the bathroom. There are so many hair products in the bathroom at home. Tom she was a model when you married her. You should have figured some of that stuff out on the front end. So apparently the rift at least the reported rift is that he wants to play this one more season of NFL to show he still has it at 44. And he still does have it. It doesn't have much help when it comes to the Tampa Bay team, but he's still racking in the dough, racking in the endorsement. And apparently they've stopped construction on their huge mansion down in Florida as they're trying to sort things out with their lawyers. And so again, I'm not wanting to offer relationship advice. I'm just saying if you decide to buy a house or build a house or move into an apartment next to an airport, you have absolutely no right to complain a few weeks later that you're hearing airplane noises. You move in next to an airport, they're going to be airplanes landing and taking off. You marry a football player, there's going to be some football player in your life. And the fact that energy prices spiked gas prices went up, Tom decides to retire, and then the next thing you know, gas prices are $4 a gallon. And he has to go back to work, just to be able to afford to drive around town, take the kids to soccer or football practice, or dance lessons. I mean, it's not his fault..

"In the break, I had kept talking, I think there was a glitch in the last thing I said was that I was going to fight that teacher. I was going to beat her up and that's the type of person that I was. So let me try to finish that thought because I was going on a thing for like two minutes after the break. But after that, after me getting in trouble, I got suspended from school. I mean, I got expelled from school. It wasn't just suspension. I got expelled. I had to go to alternative school. And that was one of the biggest blessings of my life going to alternative school because I never want to get in trouble again after that. I mean, I thought I was in prison. Think about first world issues. I had to wear uniforms. And that was enough for me to say, and we had to go through meta detectors, and they gave us these little pencils. I mean, it was hell going through there. I want no parts of going through alternative screw ever again. And I went on to college and I had a terrible attitude. I had a terrible attitude. People on the team were afraid of me, the coaches were afraid of me. You say the wrong thing to me and Brandon Tatum is fighting. I can't tell you how many cell phones I've broken. Why Christian Walker Denounced His Father

"This was very difficult for me and I know my wife is going to be mad that I'm talking about this to a certain degree, but I'm not going to go all full crazy with it. Herschel Walker, let me just start with what I think about Herschel Walker. And then we'll talk about the controversy of how his son came out against him. And I know Christian walker. I mean, I know of him. My wife knows him pretty good. She was messaging him yesterday and accidentally, hey, are you okay? What's going on? With the things that he said on social media about Herschel Walker and then there's a rumor that her walker forced a woman to have an abortion now. I want to give you a warning. If you are sensitive, you might not want to listen to what I have to say because I'm not going to hold back on what I actually feel about these whole allegations situations. However, let me start with what I feel about Herschel Walker. When I met her walker, and then also I've seen him on plenty platforms, I follow him on social media, I don't know him, right? He's not my daddy. I have a great father. He's not my dad. I don't know the man that well. However, the way he comes across, it seems to be very genuine. He seems like a genuine, good hearted Christian individual. Now, some of these allegations about Herschel Walker is from his past. Now, for those who don't know, Herschel Walker was an NFL football player, I don't know if he's been inducted in Hall of Fame, but from my stance and how I know him to be such an electrifying football player, I would argue that he's a Hall of Famer. And Herschel Walker played football, obviously he had his kids. There's rumors that he have multiple kids by multiple women. And he didn't raise none of them. It's from what his son, Christian has said on his social media. However, I don't see her she walk up in that way, but I do understand it. I don't know that man. Now, let me get into some more of these allegations. This is what bothers me about what Christian walker did and this is what bothers me in general about how people always bring up another person's past. There's always two sides to the coin.

What We Know About Herschel Walker

"This is the part where it's troubling to me. To hear Herschel Walker's son come out and make these statements about his father. As a father, it is troubling for your child, your son, to have such egregious things to say about you. It is hard for me to believe that this is not in some part true. Now of course, Christian walker is the older kid now. He and a baby. So Herschel may have done these things in incredibly long time ago. They still don't make them right. Domestic violence, I mean, you know, I don't understand domestic violence situations. I was a football player now, of course, I wasn't in the NFL like hertz walker, but I play free safe. Now you smash people in practice. I was one of the hardest people working out in the weight room. I was a monster. However, I would never put my hands on a woman, and I would never engage in domestic violence with somebody.

Is Tom Brady About to Have a Very Bad Season?

"Then there's the rumor about Tom Brady. And Gisele Bündchen that is growing legs by the day. I mean, we all know that gisele wasn't happy that Tom Brady retired and then un retarded. And apparently, according to people, he did that without first speaking to his wife, or at least, you know, tip her off that that's what he was going to do. I mean, all wives would like that respect. So Tom definitely fumbled the ball there. And now it seems that this season she just hasn't been as supportive towards his football endeavors at all. And on top of that, there are rumors that a lot is happening quickly at then that we will all know something before the season ends. If that's the case, have a shit year. You can't play a football season and have this happening in your life. That's no, no, you can't. You'd have to be dead inside. So if I were you, you know, with all this weighing on Tom's mind, don't take the bucks and the points, too many times this season. I wouldn't trust this at all. This looks like it's going to be very painful year for Tom.

Leonardo DiCaprio Breaks up With 'Old' Camilla Morrone

"Leo DiCaprio is split with his girlfriend and four years Camilla Moroni. Does anybody even know what this chick looks like? I mean, let's be honest. We've all heard her name, all right? We'd probably saw a few pictures of her. I'm not going to sit here and say I can tell you, I don't think I could even recognize her in a police lineup. I really don't. I think she's cute. I think she's got a good body. I know she's young, but she's not like a girl that was paraded around when he was younger and dating, you know, Gisele Bündchen and bar Rafael. So I don't really know Camilla and Al Pacino and her mother. He was with her for four years and now they're done and he broke up with her because you know what? She turned 25 years old. That's the thing guys, that's what you have to know. Leonardo DiCaprio breaks up with girls. What is he 47? I think he's in his late 40s. He doesn't like anybody over 25. He just doesn't. I think he thinks 25 is ancient. And by the way, what is her job? What is she doing again? Does anybody know what she does? How does she make money? I don't think anybody knows. I don't.

Victoria's Secret Is Now in the Business of Shifting Culture

"But I want to talk about an article. This is by Chris ruffo and Citi journal. It's called social justice lingerie. And the article is just downright funny. It's not intended to be funny, ruthless, not exactly like a laugh, a minute guy, but what he's describing is how a Victoria's Secret. They came under fire from all these left wing activists. They came under fire for no other reason that their basic business model was beauty, right? This is the idea of saying to women if you want to look beautiful if you want to look like a model, these are the clothes you should wear. And of course, to some degree, it's an illusion as all advertising is to some degree an illusion, but nevertheless, the activists were up in arms and they started raging about the fact that Victoria's Secret was transphobic and didn't care enough about the environment. It was doing deforestation and so on. Well, what's happened is Victoria's Secret has sort of completely surrendered, and what that means is they've sort of, first of all, they booted out all their old kind of famous models, people like Heidi Klum and Gisele Bündchen and Tyra Banks, all these people are like out they're gone. They don't represent true social anymore. In fact, they represent an actual social. They don't represent Victoria's Secret anymore. In fact, they represent they probably should represent true social. It'll probably be great for true social. Tyra Banks join truth social. That's where I hang out these days. Gisele Bündchen. Find me on truth social. You might get more than you bargained for. No. Anyway, the point here is that Victoria's Secret has decided to go with a new coterie of models. People like Megan Rapinoe, LGBTQ activist, people like transgender transgender swimsuit model Valentina sampaio. Or Amanda de cadenet. So Amanda, the academy says the point of Victoria's Secret is no longer to sell underwear. It is to quote shift culture.

"So kind of now it's just noticing trends. Like Tom Brady has an endorsement deal and gisele with FTX and they're getting paid an equity too. It's not just like, oh, we're gonna give you money to advertise. They have, they are very bullish on it. And honestly, Tom Brady was the point for me where I was like, okay, if he's this into this stuff, then there must be something here because this man doesn't lose. Yeah. Yeah, exactly. But we might be made Tom Brady is not in the market of losing money. That's for sure. And it's like the same thing with all these shows. My issue is it's a complicated sphere, right? It's so complicated. What's going on? And especially when you just see like people have like a monkey default picture or like a default picture of just like a pixelated person and you're like, wait, someone's paying like millions of dollars. That's ridiculous. And it's like you don't understand. But if you think about it, people will spend a lot of money to prove they're rich, right? Absolutely. I think there's a crazy interesting avenue for luxury goods, luxury brands with NFTs just in the virtual space. Look at Fortnite and avatars, right? Who was it?.

This talk day. They did a little die you have to discover. Geez you have to bring the knowledge of christ. Then as i found jesus are not on that too i have a book was after finding purpose. "I said and i feel like hope is is the most important is the spark of life that can never die. Desperate pushes us forward. That's what keeps guiding us to to to create and to be created beings that we are so hope is essential like so the first one was hoping times of uncertainty and he was just about. I just started writing about how i felt about. Hope you know. And and what. I wanted what i you know it was just about. How can i share this this feeling. How can i send my love out. And maybe this will make someone who's feeling alone is not feeling hopeful to feel love into hoping to feel connected so came from that place of wanting to share tutut to help any way that i could and i felt like i couldn't seek by frankly any other way to to help me try this and so so i did that meditation and then i did one for children which was actually very helpful to me because my daughter. She's going to phase wishes afraid of the dark so she never can sleep in her room alone. She shows up in my my bed like four times a night to the point that now. She's my roommate sleeping in my bed. But i was actually. I created the meditation for for kids. And and when she is afraid like initially when she starts in her bed i put it for her and when i leave it she listens to the voice is very soothing so she falls asleep so you actually has been working for me because then i can leave the room and they can just put them anything and i go back like ten minutes later and she insists she's still wakes up the night but but at least she falls asleep instead of like two hours. Getting her to sleep became like ten minutes so it was helpful. So i i just i. Just kind of it was very intuitive. You know whatever. I felt like..

"Yes sometimes make you let your husband side or but mostly you know you kind of do what you. Would you know what time you want to eat at time. You're going to go to sleep and and when you have kids is like it's becomes all about this little bowl of love and and don't sleep and you know so so he becomes even more important. I think to take care of ourselves. Because how can you give from from an antique vessel right. If your glasses empty how you're going to drink from it. How is anyone going to drink from it. So i just made i wake up at four thirty in the morning. I meditate every day for twenty minutes. Just you know part of like feeling my glass you know start the day nourishing myself so then i can give nourishment to my kids. My dogs my husband my family the rural like everyone that i wanna share my my love with you know and but i noticed that that really gives me a lot of energy just to have this practice of of meditation and then i got thirty minutes of yoga usually asked an has every morning before the sun rises and then i just sit in silence i just look at the sun rising and then just take in that energy and just you know one more day i get to be here..

"Serving seven and when you said about humans like it is true that humans are about getting and holding and keeping and ask you mentioned like we're not in line with nature because we're not serving anymore serving under nature. When do you. How do you think people who feel like nature's not really they feel disconnected from or they don't they don't really quite understand like when you said we on nature. How do you think someone experiences that in a simple way like what's been what's been your of helping people experience and understand. I mean i think being present. I mean for me is it's is just like everything right because since i was a little kid like i grew up in a small village so being bare feet in nature in climbing a tree to pick up the fruit author. The sun rises every day and sets everyday the opportunity to witness it in the beauty of it is amazing to hear the birds. Sing is just. It's it's just. I feel like it's it's always it's always here.
