"Law season of footage. And we would all just ignore the fact that everybody's a lot older. I love that idea. What netflix did with wet hot american summer and that made it even funnier that these actors are so much older but yet they're playing camp counselor and nobody says john lydon aka johnny rotten. He's been pissed about this upcoming sex pistols television series so much so that he sued his former bandmates. Steve jones and paul cook saying that this show couldn't use sex pistols music without his permission will on monday a uk judge sided with jones and cook ruling. That lydon signed away his power to control the use of music rights ono publishing company so it's full steam ahead for the show. It's called pistol based on jones's memoir lonely boy tales. Promise sex pistol. That's being produced by fx directed by danny boyle who did trainspotting twenty eight days later. Slumdog millionaire in a bunch of other stuff seems like a big huge day. No question judge like agreed with giren but said that you grew right. And how could you have a show about the sex pistols without the music. Yeah stupid they've tried to do things like that before. "She is a super-duper she can party with the no to all right. The debate continues. Meghan and shannon are getting into this thing at allen siding with meghan on this it is mind blowing to me that you would toilet paper. Do you know that that actually makes your point worse like holds onto more germs to your skin like a toilet seat is actually designed to not hold on to as many particles as possible but then when you only paper toilet seats are dirty. No actually your phone is ten times dirty on the you. Put that on your face and you typed at least that's my own germs for the most part fam- joe let me ask you this question. By the way. I toil it paper whether i'm sitting or hovering. It doesn't matter what i'm doing i toil it. Why would the. Why would you use your hovering. because even when i'm hovering at some point the backs of my thighs are touching that seat. You're the one leaving the messy potty cheaper there no way the problem with the toilet paper trying to do cirque du soleil toilet paper the seat. Let me ask you this question meghan. Would you come into the studio. Pull your pants down to your ankles. Have mojo do the same and go but to but with him. Essentially what you're doing all the time rather put my thighs skin against mo joe's thighs skin can then sit in the p. You left behind. That toilets covers as well as toilet paper or porous in the torrid means that they continue to hold four things to go through your absorbing the toilet juices and then get your paper is it. Does it spray like all over the seat because mine goes in the toilet when you. I've never seen. I'm plummeting over and make it all into the toilet. What is it grows. Stream like is everywhere. Getting your sprayer. Anybody who is have to you have your pages drizzle relied all right. You have to be spray if you're hovering especially the girls are drunk in the bar. I have to real this end. The call calls from listeners is the debate. Your answer is toilet paper. chris. Hello hello mojo. Hi you're a guy where we picking him up all right. Thank you chris angie. We're going with the ladies on this one. This is the ladies on this. Yes without being. So i tell the paper and i hover and i don't have saying it sprang like i don't know what type of the nine that she had but i don't got the public and that's why they have polar covers so you could have all this cover them so you're you don't have giren catching you. I don't understand. And then i turned around something on the fully. I take the politics that i have. And i like to call it down. So it's clean for the next person if you're disgusting to to put your body on the toilet that you don't even know who sat there before no no on the seat and white with toilet paper and said okay. It looks clean. And now you're putting your butt on. That's the problem. everybody okay. sorry. I'm very heated about this. If everybody stopped hovering around the hover. it's about toilet paper. That she put the toilet paper down and hovered. And then you just said if there's poop particles on there if you're telling you me and on later you guys are screaming. I'd rather deal with the fact that he might be a little trip on. Then you have to wipe it down to know that somebody else that i don't know what their journey to go to the next call. I have to go to the next call. I have to go to the next call. Hello mojo in the morning hi tie. Hi so i really wish that. And like i've never in my whole life set on the toilet public like ever my whole pregnancy. That i wouldn't get set so i could still hover like okay. So you're rather use your hand to touch and smear stuff around then just to put your thighs on a seat. So you're really okay imply poorest toilet paper being the only barrier between your snow. She's okay next caller here. Robin going random. Call the call. Hello hi. I don't agree with either because there's hand sanitizer because the toilet paper sticks to your bought in a lot of times there is good point paper down. You have to do one or the other way down the toilet or do you have her. No she rubs hand sanitizer around the toilet. Say yeah i take toilet paper and use the hand sanitizer fixed to your by teepee the seat or not tb the see. That's the argument. Here i would not stand over it because no she sanitize no she sanitizers. The seat is what she's saying she's not joking. She actually rubbed hand sanitizer on the toilet. Seat hello marlene. Good morning good morning. This is my thing. I'm gonna make very. Pg if you hover. i don't think you need to all the paper and maybe the difference between spring and not spraying if you have fat cookie or you don't. I don't know yet to meet somebody who does not spray a little bit when they hover over a tallet and then on there. And even if you why's it with toilet paper there's no chemicals there so guess what the bacteria is still there down period period person. They can enter at their own risk. But the spraying in. I say every time but i gotta fat cookie. So i don't know if it says it's not getting directly or what. Thank you marley. Even if everybody didn't spray and still set their butts on the seat right and there was no p spray. You're still germs with strangely. You're sharing germs and dirty guide germs. I'm not even participating in this conversation anymore. I swear to god if y'all will just sit on the toilet it would be way less disgusting than the sinks you wash your hands in afterwards touching all of league. Your hands are way grocer and exposed away. More things than your stephanie. Stephanie team shannon. Our team meghan team meghan meghan. Okay explain explain toilet paper toilet. Paper absorbs all the stuff when people slush it sprays up and absorbs everything in the air. Why you use that point. You're already done once. You flush shannon doesn't care about anybody else only herself. Will it be for the seat. By the way you said during the commercial break to shut up you're not part of this argument shannon's dies are very dirty. I'm learning hold on what's going on her thighs. Barb what's up barb. The morning.

"See a lot of those bronco sports around selling bronco sports. Is that a different platformer. Yeah those bronco sports. Those are on the ford escape platform. And that's gonna be maverick Uses as well. The bronco proper platform is entirely owned design. And for me. Personally if i get a new car. It's between the new jersey. If that's that's affordable listrik if that's realistic new jersey. The new gr eighty six or the bronco. Those are great choices through. I think that's a cool little triplet too. Yeah not bad. I said cool. Kumail giren to pick from iran gyro onto pick from african american contribution to the car. Culture doesn't stop with being manufacturers and dealers if it weren't for prominent black inventor. We wouldn't have the modern traffic late. Garrett morgan was an event who worked on everything from hair straightening sewn machines morgan born eighteen. Seventy seven and by the nineteen twenties. He already had several patents from his inventions. After patenting several inventions including working on a gas mask. Morgan turned his attention to the road. Morgan was the first black man to own a car in cleveland. Ohio his interesting cars and his skills that is inventor led him to develop a friction drive clutch next. He created a new traffic signal. One that warned drivers to stop with an automatic light so essentially our modern traffic light. It was such a success. That morgan got the patent for the light and eventually sold the rights. To general electric. Forty grand was such an important invention. That morgan was honored and recognized for his traffic light invention by the us government before his death. Dude imagine a world without traffic lights chaos. Yeah i'm just thinking about driving down figure and hitting every single red light just like fifteen in a row. So i mean great great for safety horrible for your time management. Yeah i love green lights. Go on record saying net. Three yellow baby. Feel something when i if the green book was all about giving african americans freedom to travel the country. What did african americans do. When it came to car racing. They weren't allowed to raise ninety. Five hundred or nascar because of segregation but there are plenty of black americans who are interested in racing and we're talented drivers. So what do they do in. Nineteen twenty four. A group of black drivers and mechanics decided to start the colored speedway association. The inaugural event for the group was held. The indianapolis state fairgrounds one mile dirt oval. The race was part of the city's emancipation day celebration on august second. Nineteen twenty four. in fact the race was advertising. Black newspapers saying was quote. The only event staged exclusively for men of our race. The race had entrance of all skill and mechanical levels. One driver had to toe his car by rope behind his model. T ford. i guess. Instead of having like a flatbed to loaded on. Meanwhile you say just just drive the drive. The ford in the rates but you clarify. Meanwhile the drive by the name. Wild bill jeffries raced in a twelve thousand dollar frontenac racer worth about one hundred seventy thousand dollars in today's money more typical example of a. Csi driver was charlie wiggins who was born in eighteen. Ninety seven in evansville indiana. When his mother died. Charlie started shoe shining to help support his family. He learned the mechanics of cars where he signed. Shoes was outside of an auto dealership who would watch the open doors of dealerships service shops in one thousand nine hundred seventeen. Who's able to convince the dealership to give him an apprenticeship with the mechanics. that's cool. Yeah awesome wiggins eventually became one of the lead technicians. Even though all the other men who worked there were white in nineteen twenty. Two wayans moved to indianapolis where he got a job as a head mechanic at an auto repair garage and eventually bought the business when the owner retired armed with knowledge of the inner workings of cars wiggins decided to build his own race car in his spare time between working in running an auto shop. He built the car. He named the wiggins special using spare-parts he salvaged from local junkyards in one thousand. Nine hundred five. Charlie entered the wigan special into gold golden glory sweepstakes race a major race hosted by the colored speedway association. The race was a one hundred lap. Dirt race held a one mile. Oval at the indiana state fairground writer. Dale drennan described it as a quote brutal event. Victory in which conferred immoral equivalent of a victory in the indy. Five hundred in his first golden glory sweepstakes wiggins ran with the leaders of the race but suffered an engine failure unfortunately but in one thousand nine hundred eighty six wiggins returned entering a full season of the races. He was the breakout star of the season. Winning golden glory by two full laps. Wow wow even though. Wiggins was excluded from the indy. Five hundred because of his race his reputation as a town driver and mechanic came to the attention of a white driver. Bill cummings in nineteen thirty four. Cummings helped wiggins to tune up his car for the indy five hundred that year however because of jim crow laws wiggins had to pretend to be a janitor to get into the race. Good guy good come on. He worked as a janitor during the day and as a mechanic for cummings at night. Thanks to wiggins help. Cummings one indy that year and what must have been a bittersweet victory for the black mechanic who help them get there but was excluded himself. Talent was not the issue wiggins was an incredibly talented driver in nineteen twenty seven wiggins wanna race in quakertown pennsylvania on a one mile dirt oval is average speed was eighty one point six miles per hour it just a week earlier. The white indycar driver. Frank lockhart had set the one mile dirt track record at eighty two point eight to six miles per hour to come that close to the record in a homemade car built with junkyard. Parts is pretty damn incredible in one thousand nine hundred six wiggins own careers. A driver ended on his second lap in the gold and glory race. He was in a collision when another driver lost control of their car which caused a thirteen car. Accident wiggins lost an eye and a leg in the accident but ever the bat wiggins made himself wouldn't peg leg and continue to fight for black participation in racing and mentoring young black drivers all the way up to his death in nineteen seventy nine. Tam good long life freaking making it happen man. Yeah that's awesome. That's it's just like a dude who loves what he's doing. Nothing's going to stop him and he just kind of made his dreams come true absolutely jane. The thing must've been racecars back. Then were terrifying. Yes yup these skinny tires probably less than six inches wide. You're sitting like directly behind the murder. He can barely see over the hood. No seatbelt no nothing. You're wearing a flight cap as a helmet. Yes maybe like slight leather. Like it evolved from just a flake cap to just this like kind of hard leather. Yeah just amazing and every every race car was called like the something special. Tom or the the death machine no bolsters..

"I'm your host Dan Blewett I'm here remotely we've got an awesome yesterday and of for, of course, all enters my co-host i. Robert Stevens Future Mayor of Chicago is ear our bobby. I'm good. These last two guests are making me question my school background. Yes it's GonNa get even rougher today I think, and then our guest today Barton Smith. Professor from Utah State, university. Barton. How are you? I'm good. Thanks for having me. So if you're new door show, we a fun twitter threat after Al Nathan's episode, which was our previous episode. Barton were chatting a bunch read some of his work in the past about He works in aerodynamics and has a Canon where he's shooting baseball's out all day and testing spin and it's pretty fascinating stops. We were talking about the cutter and got done a pretty long rabbit hole decide. Let's talk about this on the show and I. Think one of the things that unites us is we don't really know what's going with cutters. They're fascinating `Nigma. So Barton, how did you get into baseball aerodynamics? it's funny 'cause it's comfort just this morning that Mike Kid Pitches she was about nine or ten in somebody's talking to him about two cm best balls. And I asked the question which you would think everybody knows the answer to the difference between the two seamen or team and a I've been chasing that stupid question ever. Since we fired A to seamen forcing him out fishing machine and I would encourage everybody to do this. If you have a pitching machine that's at consistent and you'll see that they do the exact same thing. There is no notation between them at all which that. Got Me started and. I've. Gone, back and forth about this many many times since then. But Just like I said, simple questions if think everybody knows the answer to that. You can really find a very deep. So let me talk about that because that kind of broke my brain right off the bat. You saying. Two seamers don't do anything different compared to a four seamers. Correct. Not If you put them in a pitching machine because I, I probably should have made this decision pitching machines are hundred percent efficient and. There's only two machines I know of in the world project on brand new machine coming out of Toronto, which I think everybody's going to hear about soon and I'll give it a shot into this guy's amazing. Sheen can put Giren ball and the Russian state has learned that can do that to. Our use it once. But the that's a very rare commodity anything wheels that you normally see an end, the cannon we have hundred efficient. So seems to the seem effects that cost to seamers to be different. I think happen when you impart a little bit gyro to the ball and when you throw a less than a perfect spinning fastball. So if you drilled a hole and spun a four seamer and you drill the same hole through two seamer, any through them, both they're gonNA go they're gonNa do the same thing. That's really interesting. So basically what we could say that is that two seamers essentially capitalizing on human error in in a good way is at a reasonable with. That is a good way to put it. But if you took that same error including four steam, it wouldn't have the same effect. Yeah. That's true. Yeah. We've. We talking about? Like if you hold it as a four seam griffin and you hold it as a Traditional to seem grip in and throw it in a vacuum. They'll neither one will do anything other than the state straight not vacuum that the the important point is that have here's my to seem all. That is perfectly efficient if I throw it so that this ride stays indicative timmy as it goes in a in a way for me read, t seem enforcing the same. Cuts gyro. Then all bets are off in a lot of things can happen. Okay. So there are so the pitches themselves are different pitches. When pitchers thrown I'm just trying to wrap my head around because I've seen some balls that I care unhittable. pitchers. And I'm trying to. You that what's happening is they do they had puts gyro on it and and and then it's doing something different. So and I think this is all about to become really apparent it's GonNa. Bust Open just telling Dan earlier. Tom. Tango put some data out on twitter this morning or last night late last night. Shows this for my us? and. So I think now that we know how to look at it's going to be really honest. And that's just starting. But the important point is that there was a caveat putting their load, the balls into a pitching machine, and they're going to be the same with that houses lacking into one hundred percent efficiency. Gyro and then the same. So let me back you up a little bit because you've already mentioned at least one word that I'm sure some percentage of my audience doesn't really know what that means which Gyro can you give us a brief overview imagine that I'm a twelve year old and bobbies in eight year old because I think that would represent our are split here. Too early for that Dan. explained the key the key components of what makes baseball's move or not move. Space to do it. So it refer. Now let's not worry about the orientation is seen, but that's not worry about that because those balls fans if if this ball is coming towards unite through it. That's a that's a fastball studying backwards. And that's going to generate force that way because what we come SPEC..

"Night edition of freetalklive talk live, and you you got Mark in the front seat. You have Angie here, and you have Tim Condon visiting here from the sunshine state of Florida. That's right. You've come to visit. You're actually a Tim you were along very very early in this great freedom migration to New Hampshire. I remember seeing you down in Florida in two thousand and six hours, hustling the idea way back then and I was one time. I was on the national board of directors, and I helped do the vote annoy had only five thousand commitments we had the vote nationwide as to what state where we're going to check. I picked Wyoming. I and Montana second your Wyoming first, Montana's second and you want to go out west. Yeah. I didn't wanna go west because I picked Vermont of all things as third why? Well, vermont. I had a it. It's representation is nearly as good as New Hampshire's and the populations half as much. How about you who did you vote for? I did not vote. I was like five hundred and, you know, second five hundred five thousand two hundred I came in later, I want to see who they picked before I signed up, but I was rooting for Alaska Alaska. When back when the Free State project. That's where the voting went on the website Free State project dot org, and I think that the voting may have gone onto early. We really had a LA big run up a people up to five thousand and once the voting occurred that everybody suddenly it was slow going man who was slogan. Well, let's let's do a little trick. Here. If you were voting now, what state would you vote for New Hampshire has some extreme advantages when it comes to talking, you know, liberty. It's to you know, the deep water port. It's got a small population. One point three million. It's it has a foreign border. If we ever have to happen to enter Canada sheriff second second Free State in the union is rated by the Cato Institute, the number one St. Florida is that way because of a couple of laws surrounding their homestead exemption for property. Real good down there about that were real good on the second amendment rights too. But and we're real good. On weather, but it can't beat the the concentrated liberty movement in the state of New Hampshire can't make a difference either. If you want to make the Florida a little freer in some manner or another you've got an eight hour drive to Tallahassee wherever it from wherever it is. And got to spend the night, you're gonna testify. They're gonna you just like, they are you everywhere. Yeah. Well, that's because Florida has how many people twenty two million third most populous state in the nation when I was growing up in the nineteen fifties. It was like fourteen fifteen eight ten something like that. Yeah. Sure. And you know, the population in New Hampshire shrinks in the wintertime, which is when people vote so there's actually a smaller amount of voters in New Hampshire than the one point four million. I just mentioned as far as population goes, I think it's fair to say that Florida's about twenty times as populaced as New Hampshire. Yeah. All the more reason for anybody who believes in levered in wants to join the movement to come on up to the Free State. Yep. The reason I wanted Alaska was because Alaska's separate from the US. There are some more mild climates down in that little hassle. Down. So you know, I I had like everybody had my opinions on it. But ultimately, the people moved where they're gonna move. And you know, I I hope the best for the project. I was actively planning for Alaska. Alaska got picked Ave down in Juneau or catch calm right way down there. You know, it's not too cold and a dozen of snow too terribly much and it only ranch three hundred and fifty inches a year. That's a lot of rain a and running our miles all the time, Mark. And and it's almost as if as if has been shut up come on, Angie. What do you think about the wealth winded, Angie, when did you hear about the Free State project in two thousand and ten so if the state had already been picked, how'd you find out it was on a race car? We saw the race car. Well, I was it a like a local race car or like a big national race car. I am unsure Michael racecar. How could how could how could a Free State project sticker get on a race car? That's a great idea. I'm I'm thankful for it. But I did that get there. We are great guerrilla marketers that and so you found out about it from a race car. And then what we googled it took a look at it watch some videos and decided to make the move weighing bang. So it was you and your husband, and did you have kids? We had two kids. Five year old five or six families move all the second year, you looked at a couple of videos, and and you and your husband talked about it a little bit and said, okay, we're gonna move. This is a process that took place over what three or four or five years. Now, it was probably about seven months seven months that's fast, whose idea was it to move when he showed me the video the first night. I said, hey, we should move. He said, okay. Let's do it. Boy, that's North Carolina's loss on certainly New Hampshire's business to sell to. We did we had a computer store there that we sold. Wow. That's impressive to be able to pull that off. Speaking of moving moving. I've got a story here from the Los Angeles Times. And it turns out as amazing as this may seem to you. Tim people still keep moving to California doesn't matter the high taxes don't matter. They're continuing to go there. You can't fool me, Mark. I know that story guess what kind of people are still moving into California. The gimme the. Gimme gimme nanny staters. And there's another cohort. I don't know people that are multi millionaires. If you've got the Honey if you if you got the money, then come on in Honey. Right. Well, you know, somebody asked me why millionaires would want to move to California. Well, why do millionaires wanna buy yachts? I mean, it's not that. The none of these things are financially a good idea. It's if you have sufficient money, well, of course, you're going to do these things, you know, if you're if you really wanna live in San Francisco, then and you have the money, you might as well, there's no particular reason not to find out from manager, you know, normal the end really normal person here. Have you ever thought about have you ever thought about living in California or San Francisco, I've visited once I went to San Diego. And then we winded up in twenty nine palms twenty nine palms. I remember well there for a half year. It was not somewhere that I would move. Everybody needs to know that I'm just get into Noah, Jan lo and behold, her husband, Mike is a former not an AXA farmer Moran. Just like me, and we were both stationed at twenty nine palms. I got a lot to talk to your husband about edgy that. There's no I guess there is no ex-marine is that the idea. Always marine. Yeah. That's the idea of the back in the day when I was in the car in the late sixties and early seventies. You you always said, I'm a former marine if you're an active duty, then you're former marine, but now it's chance to once a marine always a marine. I Don I I don't know if I can get with that. I'm kinda doofus now you had used the term giren to describe marine. What does that mean to those of us who the only time I've ever heard the term was in the movie avatar, the the the marines have all kinds of nicknames leather neck devil dog that they're historically based and one of the funny ones. Oh, you're giren are ya giren and whenever I made anybody necessarily there in the Marin they were in the marines marine veteran. I'll say era giren I said, that's Angie a few minutes ago. And she said, yeah. As a matter of fact, you know, exactly what it meant. But what does it mean? I'm not sure exactly what it means. Well moran. Jaren, you know, it's just a it's just a humorous play on. So I thought maybe it was jar head and marine stuck together. I don't really know what it is other jar hedge. Yeah, I've certainly heard that terminology. I imagine that refers to the flat top top flight on the top like a jar. I know probably accurate. I don't I don't know where jar head Cam from. I thought jar had mount that you're kind of stupid into nominee brands. I've heard people us marines being willing to salute a lamp posts. But I do like the notion that that marine is a rifleman. I right. Like, you use your hand your sidearm to fight your way to your rifle. It's clearly a better weapon. You know? I mean handguns are fine for civilian use and all that stuff, but a handgun in the hands of a soldier should only be in the hands of an officer that way, he can shoot the people who are closest to them. As a former marine, I think I can speak for all former Jeffrey every American should have a battle rifle in their own home and have plenty of ammo for. So that if things go sideways will be rough and ready. What do you think? Aggie. I completely agree. Well, I think I'm in love, I think, right. Wouldn't be we'll get into the story here about California, and the people move in there and just one just just a few seconds here. The number eight five five four five zero three seven three three. That's eight fifty five four fifty free here on free talk live. You love bitcoin. It's the future. Right. Well, no, not if everyone stops using it. I mean think about it. All the more isn't for anybody who believes in liberty in wants to join the movement to come on up to the free stat. Yep. The reason I wanted Alaska was because Alaska separate from the US. There are some more mild climates down in that little hassle. Schering's down. So I had like everybody had my opinions on it. But ultimately, the people moved where they're gonna move. And you know, I hope the best for the project. I was actively planning for Alaska. Alaska got picked. I'd be down in Juneau or catch a calm right way down there. It's not too cold and a dozen snow too terribly much, and it only rains three hundred and fifty inches a year. That's a lot of rain. We're running our miles all the time, Mark. And then it's almost as if as a Fangio's meant shut up come on, Angie. What do you think about the when did Angie when did you hear about the Free State project in two thousand and ten so if the state had already been picked, how'd you find out it was on a race car? We saw the race car. Well, I was at a like a local race car or like a big national race car. I am unsure Michael racecar. How could how could how could a Free State project sticker get on a race car? And that's a great idea. I'm thankful for it. But how did that get there? We are great guerrilla marketers about that. And so you found out about it from a race car. And then what we googled it took a look at it watch some videos and decided to make the move Wang Bank. So it was you and your husband, and did you have kids? We had two kids a seven month old and a five year old five or six families move all the second. You looked at a couple of videos, and then you and your husband talked about it a little bit and said, okay, we're gonna move this. Is a process that took place over what three or four or five years. The gimme the gimme gimme nanny stairs. And there's another cohort. I don't know people that are multi millionaires. If you've got the money, if you know if you got the money, then come on in Honey. Right. Well. You know, somebody asked me why millionaires would want to move to California. Well, why to millionaires wanna buy yachts? I mean, it's not that the none of these things are financially a good idea. It's if you have efficient money, well, of course, you're going to do these things. Sure, if you really wanna live in San Francisco, then you, and you have the money, you might as well, there's no particular reason not to find out from normal, the only really normal person. Here. Have you ever thought about have you ever thought about living in California or San Francisco, I've visited once I went to San Diego. And then we winded up in twenty nine palms twenty nine palms. I remember well was there for a half year? It was not somewhere that I would move. Everybody needs to know that I'm just get into no Agean lo and behold, her husband, Mike is a former not an AXA far Moran. Just like may. And we were both stationed at twenty nine palms. I got a lot to talk to your husband about Angie. That there's no I guess there is no ex-marine is that the idea always marine. Yeah. That's the idea of the back in the day when I was in the core in late sixties and early seventies. You always said, I'm a former marine if you weren't active duty, then you are former marine, but now it's chance show once a marine always a marine. I don't know if I can get with that. I'm kinda doofus. Now, you use the term giren to describe a marine. What does that mean to us who the only time I've ever heard the term was in the movie avatar, the the the marines have all kinds of nicknames leather neck devil dog that they're historically based and one of the funny ones is oh, you're giren are ya giren, and whenever I made anybody necessarily there in the marine. They were in the marines or marine veteran so era giren I said, that's Angie a few minutes ago. And she said, yeah. As a matter of fact, you know, exactly what it meant. But what? Does it mean? I'm not sure exactly what it means. Well, as Moran Jaren, you know, just it's just a humorous play on. So I thought maybe it was jar had and marine stuck together. I don't really know what it is other jar heads to the. Yeah, I've certainly heard that terminology. I imagine that refers to the flat top flat on the top like a jar. I don't know probably accurate. I don't I don't know where jar had Cam from. I thought jar had meant that you were kind of stupid into nominee brands. I've heard people accused marines being willing to salute a lamp post. But I do like the notion that the marine is a rifleman. I right. Like, you use your hand your sidearm to fight your way to your rifle. It's clearly a better weapon handguns are fine for civilian use. And all that stuff. But a handgun in the hands of a soldier should only be in the hands of an officer that way, he can shoot the people closest to. Yeah. I mean as a former marine, I think I can speak for all former and Jeffrey every American should have a battle rifle in their own home and have plenty of ammo for. So that if things go sideways will be rough and ready. What do you think? Angie? I completely agree. I think I'm in love, I wouldn't be. We'll get into the story here about California, and the people move in there and just one just to just a few seconds here. The number eight five five four five zero three seven three three. That's eight fifty five four.

"We just saw in that Kate. There's no other way to describe the president caved broke. I mean, this was a big cave who has caved twice. He has K, but he set himself up to cave geographic vibes of all this. We started with talk about a wall. We ended with a giant cave caved on this. He caved on the state of the union is this a total Trump gave a we've all been saying the president caved to the president cave. Sure. No wall, just a cave in. So what's the lesson learned here for President Trump? I remember when Chuck Schumer on Friday said I hope lesson was learned remember that when he sanctimoniously and condescendingly took to the floor of the Senate. And and had his statement when he announced that the government shutdown was over it reopens the government without preconditions and gives Democrats and Republicans and opportunity to discuss border security without holding hundreds of thousands of American workers hostage. Hopefully, it means a lesson has been learned shutting down government over policy differences self-defeating, a hopefully a lesson has been learned. Okay. So when you see the media all reacting in lockstep with their monolithic, mind, so creatively. This way. No matter how you slice it Anderson. This is obviously concession or retreat. Us our and a k for this president because this is a day. He caved on the shutdown without his wall. Suffering a total abject defeat at the hands of the speaker of the house Nancy Pelosi today, the president's wall was instead branded a cave some cave, so hard. So if that's how the mainstream media monolithically react. Then what is that lesson? Senator Schumer what lessons should the president take away from this. I I have an idea typically at six thirty WMA L, let's start with Dustin and Alexandria. You are first up on. I'm Larry O'Connor show. Hey, larry. I mean, this is the same lesson that all Republicans have learned and. Us Republican voters that you know, you just you can't win either way. It's just it's a no win situation. So the president had open the government to pay the the hard working order patrol officers and Jay who aren't looking to sink his presidency. Right. But this is this is part of the resistance passage. They they lie lie lie. And so that they can turn around and show that constituents. We've resisted resisted we'll make it a, you know, me versus him moment. And then, of course, you have Schumer. I mean, I I there's no other way to describe this gentleman other than he's just a snake? Pelosi. So I mean, the lesson learned is as with all Republican presidents in going against the Democrats. There's no nothing to win here. That's right with with your ground. And and appease your your own voters your own constituents because we're the people that are going to put you hopefully back in office. Yes. The Democrats just follow your agenda, and and I don't care facility. -secutive order an emergency or whatever just built a barrier. Thank you, Dustin. Who cares? What the? That's right. That's right. Thank you. I I think it's a great point because you know, he heard for weeks. Well, if only they could just get together and work this out, if the president were to just reopen the government, and then we have a good faith negotiation. I, you know, don't hold the government hostage. Mr President we care about border security to please. And then as soon as you do it. Well, he came go by God, one of the mind. Ridiculous blunder. This was Horace say, okay. Yeah. There's a lesson learned there. Here's how you win dust, and you said make sure you, you know. Keep your base happy. That's one way of putting another way of putting it just do what you said you were going to do. I know it's a quaint notion here in Washington DC when it comes to an elected official, you promise, something you win the election promising that thing do it. You can never go wrong. You can never go wrong. Even if you lose reelection, you can at least have the integrity to look at the people that voted for you. And look at yourself in the mirror and said, I said I was going to do this. If they elected me, they elected me. And I did it. And if I lost so be it. Take the lesson for everyone's talking posthumously after the man died everyone's talking about what a great and noble, man, George. Herbert Walker Bush was after he died. And he lost reelection by going back on what he promised. He would do. So yeah, there's the choice you can either get lampooned and ridiculed and called names and ostracized while you're alive. But actually have the integrity to stand on your principles and do what you know, you promised you would do or or go back on that continue to get lampooned, ridiculed and ostracised. And maybe maybe after you die. They'll say something nice about you. But only if it serves the current political purposes if saying something nice about you after you've died actually hurts the guy that's currently in office who they hate even more. If that's the calculation you want go for it. Frankly, I think it's a quaint notion you promised to do something you do it. And hopefully that lesson was learnt here. Scott in Virginia, you're next on wwl. Hello, scott. Hi. The American people are for folk door's security, the press and the Democrats are for voter security. They could care less people. Yeah. And they need to get that out there right away. And basically, you know, they're they're talking about you can't do the emergency. Because the perforations and everything I wanna know what Bill all the democrat signed in the house of representatives to send two hundred and fifty billion dollars in cash and gold giren one President Obama wa s very smart point, Scott. That's right where where's the appropriations Bill? You guys you guys appropriate the money, you're whining and crying, which is fine. Because I want to know I didn't see I didn't hear about it. And you're all right, Scott that is brilliant on the border of Mark Levin brilliance. That's well said that's right. That's right. Oh, you can't spend this money. We didn't appropriate. It really is. I remember Obama spending a whole lot of money for the Moulana. Ron you vote for that. How does this end? What do you think happens? Todd in Rockville Todd you are on wwl. Hey, todd. Hey, Larry good afternoon. Thank you. Same couple of things first of all, you know, going into this. The president should have now net. He was going to be dealing with a mutinous crew, folks. Unfortunately, you know, was at a part now where he's not gonna get the full five the probably come to the table with something. And he's going to have to strategize. See if you can make up the remainder, but I don't think we're going into another shutdown. I don't think that's going to shape up but going into this. He's got understand. He needs to get more facts out on the table for the American people and dramatize the hell out of it. Joe all the.

"The democrat from San Bernardino, she says young people have offered some creative suggestions. Because in her words, they have no barriers and one of the suggestions that they had to homelessness. They said, let's do what an I believe. It's Hawaii does where the doctor can prescribe housing as part of the treatment for that person. And so when we look at creative solutions like that, we know that there's a there are other barriers related to that. But I think that being creative. I think is going to be. Important creative thinking will be on the agenda for lawmakers as they address the issue in coming weeks. My bet you and the other committee members say lawmakers are looking forward to discussing a variety of legislative measures on homelessness. The issue will also be part of ongoing debates over the state budget reporting from the state capital. I'm Christopher Martinez. Last night. "Intro listener correction off duty police officer, Pat Brexit at us breaks bullet point is he wouldn't have to fuck and deal with these charges if he'd settled his beef in the ring like he should have been because he's a fucking God, given natural talent. Anyway, all victims involved refuse to go to the hospital to be treated for their wounds because that's fucking soft. Well, it's also pretty hard to ask for medical attention. When you're in a body bag. That's truly. That her money knocked out when the cops arrived shack the video out if you haven't if you wanna see just just textbook punching of an eleven year old, okay? Let's get to an interesting story out of Lexington Kentucky. A woman was charged with drunken driving and told police she did it to teach her son a lesson. Okay. Short for. Yeah. Sure. Forty eight year old nurse soon. Nita giren was arrested at one AM Sunday morning for DUI and endangering the welfare of a minor. She told police in slurred speech that she jank much beer and drove a hundred fifty miles an hour. So they didn't really ask her how fast she was going. She just admitted that she was going hundred fifty miles an hour. They arrested that's fucking fats. Very fast. It's way too fast and probably a bit of an exaggeration. Yep. Yeah. Cool and hot drink today. And I drive so fast three hundred hour, sir. She also reportedly told investigators that she had been drinking all day. So she doesn't drink all day. So the sun told police he tried to get out of the two thousand fourteen BMW X one several times, but the child lock the doors were locked busiest stuntman barrel roll out of the. BMW going hundred miles an hour slowdown probably get he didn't barrel. Car us in nita's blood alcohol. Content was point one six one which is exactly twice the legal limit in most states and fair buzz, which the story. With the story. I figured she'd probably be closer to the point two's. But point one six wants nothing to scoff at especially when you've got a child in the car that she was so drunk. You can't hold her liquor. Very well, you know, what? I mean. That's true. She's point one six one then but earlier today she could have been higher. She was drinking all day. She was a long one point one six. Yeah. Records also show. She was previously charged with public intoxication and speeding in the past. So maybe the lesson. Here was white lightning strikes twice does straight choice or D DUI me once shame on me. DUI me twice alcohol's. My vice don't know. Sure. Sure, the lessons she was trying to teach your kid, but Sinisa was taken to the Fayetteville county detention center. She's out now, and our next court appearance is court appearances on January twenty fifth where I'm sure the judge has some choice words that he will share with her like your mother, you should know better. You lucky to even be here in front of me today. Do you know what you could have done your mother? Mrs date. Yeah. Exactly. So that's the twenty fifth for her. She's going to hear that all day. And here's my take on this. I think the the kid clearly just pissed off pissed off when she was drunk and proudly wanted something that required her to drive and go get it. So after Sanita told the little shit, but doesn't times. Hey, I can't drive. I'm a hammered. It's me. Mommy. It's a day of the week. You should know that by now, she finally got fed up and said, okay, fucker get in the car. I'm gonna show you why you shouldn't ask monitor drive drunk on just drove one hundred fifty miles per hour swerving and screaming you want. Do. I'm going to get you out do. Unorthodox? But I doubt it happens again. Yeah. No. That's what I'm saying. He's gonna be an angel around active. She's gonna crack a beer and look at them, and he's just going to be a little ship. It's already happened before she was in trouble for it before. Do you think it was the same thing? Then no, she's a psychopath. According to the local news, this is just the last in a string of child endangerment cases in Lexington Kentucky police pulled over Gabriel. Cochran November after she swerved into oncoming traffic and then passed out on top of her steering wheel. Cochran had four kids in the car and admitted to have just snorted hair..
