"A goal scorer, there is no hotter goal score. There is no player score, more goals in his age group than father and balogun. It's that simple. In a position that you could say is all of a sudden gotten deep, but it's historically been of need. And here you have a guy that's proven to score goals in a very competitive league at a very young age with a high ceiling. Not since Giovanni Reina have you had a player with this ceiling. This changes almost everything heading into the summer. Yeah, this is massively important. I'm with you. I like that you use massive because sometimes when you get a prospect, we want to shy away from it. We don't want to overhype him. But when you see what this kid is doing already, top flight, first division, big 5 leagues in Europe. You say, okay, he's going to definitely have an impact on the U.S. men's national team. And for me, her, the size of the impact comes down to the position that he plays. I don't think there's a more important position not just because you played it. Then the number 9, right globally, if you have an elite number 9 as a national team, even if you're not that good, I think it changes your ceiling in international competition. Because you don't have to be incredibly efficient as a team, you just need that one guy who maybe you create two or three chances and now a team that maybe is around a 16 team with a great finisher could be a quarterfinal team could be a semifinal team. And then when you talk about the United States, it's the position of most need. When you look around the rest of the U.S. team, is there a position they need more than the number 9, so to check that box, potentially hurt for the next 5, maybe even ten years, let's not forget, this guy's just 21 years old. I don't think you could have a bigger announcement, a bigger find in terms of a player than this. Not unless you found the player who's going to rival Tyler Adams because he's got an issue or pension for not staying healthy. That would be the only thing I could think of said, but you're absolutely right. Listen, there's a lot of depth. I'm going through the names. You've got balog and now you've got Haji. Josh Sargent Ricardo Pepe Daryl dike, Jordan P 5, a Brandon Vasquez may be coming through the mix. That Jesus Ferreira excuse me, yes, the producers getting angry is this fed Aidan who's obviously still in the mix. Those are a lot of names, but none of those names will move the needle. Like, a flow bag in right now. And I mentioned it. It's not that he's just scoring goals. It's how young he is and where he's scoring him at the pace he was scoring them at listen. He's in a little bit of slump, just returned to his goal scoring ways. It's something that a goal scorer will go through. But this has to excite you. It's not one of the best goal scorers in his age group. It's the best goal score organization when the top 5 leagues. Do you think it's such a significant addition that it could change the balance of power and conquer capital? Because right now it feels like U.S. Mexico, Canada, at any moment, one could jump ahead of the others. This, is this that big of a deal? With the right coach, yes. And until that's in place, I can't sit here and tell you this will be a success story. Obviously this is 11 V 11 game, a better team will Trump a better goal scorer any day of the week. So we need to know who's in charge, who's at the helm, how they will play, but man, this certainly tilts the cards in the U.S.'s favor, heading into the summer and what was a pick them game. Maybe now leaning towards the U.S. with the goal scorer. Beyond balog in herk, the impact on the program, to me, as far as dual nationals and recruiting, you always talk about Mexico being kind of a youth World Cup, a youth national team, global superpower. I think you say a tongue in cheek. When we're going to talk about recruitment and in this age of globalization, recruiting dual nationals, try nationals is going to be hugely important. The U.S. is now a superpower.

"History. That's right. Reports started Tuesday morning. They were confirmed almost immediately by U.S. soccer. Follow in balagan. Piling his one time switch with FIFA, it has been approved making him eligible to compete for the United States as early as the Concacaf Nations League. This summer, balog in a poor 21 year old striker, lighten it up in the French leagues on loan from arsenal, his eligible to represent, not just the U.S., England, and Nigeria as well. He actually played for England at the youth national team level, but he's coming home, born in Brooklyn. Here he is. Yeah, so my decision to represent the United States came together with my family and we decided it would be the right thing for me. Crunchyroll was born in so I mean in the end it became a no brainer bought for sure. It's just something that I wanted to do and it feels like I'm at home here. So luckily for me, my first time is going to be in a compared to a tournament. So of course the ambition is to win and there's not really much to it. I think I'm going to have the opportunity to train with the boys and just get to know everyone but for sure straight down to business when we head over to Vegas. I like to play under big games and it's something that every young player should be aspiring to do. So for me, having the opportunity to play against Mexico in a rivalry will be amazing and hopefully I can make a difference. Yeah, I mean, my reaction was I was a bit overwhelmed. I think I knew the U.S. is obviously a big country, but I didn't realize just how many people was involved in so called car, especially every time I just went on social media, I was just seeing loads of comments, people saying that I should choose to represent the U.S. and I mean, it's nice to really feel that before that appreciation. For sure. Polar imbalance committed to the U.S. men's national team, what is the impact on the program? It's massive, Seth. Listen, we've gone through the abysmal play in the pool lately. You've got players who on the verge of getting relegated, whether it be in the Premier League and La Liga, you got players who aren't making game day squads, you got players who are playing and not a good moment. This is array of sunshine array of light. And not only is it a ray of light, but this is one of the best players in his category in the world. A goal scorer, there is no hotter goal score. There is no player score, more goals in his age group than father and balogun. It's that simple. In a position that you could say is all of a sudden gotten deep, but it's historically been of need. "As a Mexican national team fan. Yeah, hurricane with so few Mexicans in Europe, you're right to question like can they do it? This proves not only that they can, but I think that they must. Santi Jimenez a great example, a guy who needed to make the jump to take his game to the next level, and there's not a better example than orbeli Pineda, who's in that kind of mid 20s age range where you might say, hey, man, this guy's too old. Well, he made the jump and I think we saw it the World Cup. We saw a very different orbeli Pineda at the national team level than we'd seen before he made the jump to Greece. I think going to Europe made a big difference for the player. It's not just titles her. It's the three guys specifically who won them as well. This is most likely if everybody's healthy, Mexico's front three, so you're now going to the summer with your front three playing well and winning. For me, Santi or belin chuki has to be the front three provided help and having them all coming off titles is only going to help you this summer. It can only translate over to the national team, right? I agree with what you're saying that translate into the national team and help you this summer absolutely. You want players who are informed and players who are confident and these three players seem to be that. Audubon wouldn't be in my front three. He'd been my midfield. Like he was in Saudi Arabia and leading up in the World Cup. He was very positive in the midfield. I wouldn't move it. He's a very good dual player, a dual way player. I don't move that, but you're absolutely right. Listen, if you go into comparison with the favorites come June, which are the semifinal games, Canada versus Panama probably both would bet Canada would beat Panama and make it to the final. And then the U.S. versus Mexico, look at where the U.S. men's national team pool is today. It's not a very positive moment. You have players who aren't playing, you have players who aren't making game day rosters, you have players, just not in a good moment. You have relegation scraps. In a relegation scrap, you have a coach. That's an interim coach. You don't even have a head coach. I don't think you could bank on just the names and what I mean by just the names is having a Tyler Adams, having a Christian policy. Stephanie Matt Turner, Giovanni Reina. You can't just bank on the names. I don't think it's a good moment that the pool was living right now and there isn't uptick in the moment for the Mexican national team who has a head coach who have a team that has played together a lot because a lot of those players are returning together and finally getting some good news. So yeah, you could probably translate and say that this is this good news could translate into them parlaying into something. Come the semifinal game. And it's worked the other way, right? It's worked for the United States. If we go back to 2021, when this show had just started, remember that spring, you were celebrating Christian Pulisic winning the Champions League, Weston McKinney had won a cup in Italy, sergino destined won a cup in Spain with Barcelona Brendan aronson, was winning the league in Austria. And that translated her to the national team because that 2021 summer is really the summer that the United States overtakes Mexico and probably at least until qualifying overtakes Concacaf to me, you can see a direct translation when guys are winning at club level to what they do at the national team level. The Americans right now may not be feeling that, but the Mexican team for the first time in a long time to your point has not just anything positive, but something very specifically positive in Europe. And I think that can only go a long way towards June 15th and that nation's league semi file. To your point, Tyler Adams was in a semifinal with Leipzig and the Champions League. And sure may not have had a prominent role, but he was on a winning city team and that by osmosis, that confidence carries over. So yes, absolutely. That's a big difference. Okay. Looking for more confidence, why don't we run it back with some other members of ad three? Maybe feeling yourself a little bit much here because

"Listen, when Jesse marsh has been successful, New York, New Jersey Red Bulls. Salzburg, you know, in Austria. He's deployed this system. It's a very chaotic way of playing, but it's very effective if you could do it the right way. It can yield certain results. The problem is if they play through you, the problem is if you have a team that can bypass that press, you're done. It's man on man in the back. It's an open avenue with lots of space for players who have that speed in the final third to really hurt you. And you've seen how some of Jesse's teams have been taking advantage. Here's another problem. Imagine because we've seen it with Jesse Marshall, didn't work so well at RB Leipzig when he got the chance at RB Leipzig and it didn't work so well at Leeds when he got the chance of the Premier League at Leeds. So imagine this, you have a specialist of a coach who deploys a certain system and now you're going to ask some of your best players who may not be catered to that system to adapt to said system. Players like Christian Pulisic, players like Giovanni Reina. Imagine a Ricardo peppy or a following ballad again if he does commit to the U.S. miss national team having to play in that system. I don't know if the best players in your pool are suited for that system, if that makes sense. So my worry is, if it is Jesse, my shirt, Jesse marsh has the resume if you want to make them the U.S. national coach. He has the ties. He knows the player pool. He knows the. Way of the American player, et cetera, et cetera sphere, the culture, everything we keep hearing these trigger words. He knows all that. My worry here is there's no plan B my worry here is Jesse marsh doesn't know how to play a different way. So there is no work of qualifying. So you have somewhat sometime to get your players catered, but at the highest of levels, is this a system for these players that can yield results on the world stage. That's where I have my doubts here. So if Jesse marsh, the candidate is what we're going to focus on here, I think we can point out red flags and green flags, right? You can make a case for him and against him. I think what's interesting for me is if we were to take this reporting at face value or for me it would be very worrisome and that comes down to the timing, right? Like Matt Crocker just took this job. We know he's not going to take it full time until the beginning of August. So the fact that there's not only a leading candidate, but somebody her who has the reporting says remains the leading candidate for me puts into doubt whether Matt Crocker is actually the guy calling the shots. And that's problematic for two reasons. One, I think he's capacitated to be the guy to make this decision, at least more than anybody at U.S. soccer, and the other point is we want transparency, right? Especially after what happened in 2018 and the hiring of Greg berhalter, you want to know that U.S. soccer has done not just a transparent search, but a thorough search. I think those two things, if this is true, that Jesse marsh is already effectively in the driver's seat for this job, that doesn't give me a lot of confidence that they've done it right or that they've indeed done it that differently than the last time around. Well, remember Matt Crocker during this interview campaign that he went on with various different outlets. He mentioned that just because he doesn't start until August doesn't mean the search for the U.S. national coach wouldn't start immediately. So the ball is rolling on that front. Remember, the sporting director and his job itself isn't just focused and catered the way U.S. men's national lens. But there is a situation right now where there's a few tournaments in the summer that are creeping right about excuse me creeping up on you very quickly. So if you're Matt Crocker and U.S. soccer, it behooves you to do your due diligence and try to get somebody in as soon as possible. Does it, don't you don't you want to wait because when I see Jesse marsh, if they're truly, if they've already seemingly, I don't know the reporting here says no final decision has been made. But if truly Jesse marshes this far along her, I mean, that's got to be like a real concern for you. When you ask yourself what the criteria was for the job, it's basically are you American and are you available? Don't you want them to wait if you're going to give as this report suggests Hudson the nation's league shouldn't you wait until the summer to see who's truly available? Well, you also have to see if Jesse marsh wants a job, right? Just because you turn it down to Premier League jobs, you don't think he wants this job. That's kind of the national job. Hold on, he told you in the future he'd like the team. What I'm saying is we've spoken about this at length. Jesse Marsha's next role could be the potential third strike in the eyes of many. So taking a potential job, whether it be Leicester City or Southampton in the time frame it was in the last two months, two sinking ships knowing that you're probably going to go down and there is no project to keep you at the helm for helping them come back up in the championship to the Premier League. You don't want that third strike. So that's neither here nor there with Jesse mush, but what I'm trying to tell you is Jesse marsh, maybe the candidate for U.S. soccer. It doesn't mean Jesse marsh wants the job. I'm not saying that's the case. There are certain things here you can't rule out. I'm not saying Jesse marsh should or should not be a candidate. I just saying, I don't see a problem with them fielding or feeling out Jesse marsh. So I kind of want them to pump the brakes, talk to everybody. You know, as you should. But you seem to have a little bit more urgency. And I wonder if that has to do with what is coming up this summer Nations League in gold cup and the other part of this report, which is important that Anthony Hudson is at least going to stick around for the nation's league. How big a problem is that for you because you have expressed concern over that on this show before. My concern here is if Jesse marshes the guy in an element my opinion on whether I think it should be the guy or not because we're going to get into that pretty shit down the road. Sure. Give it to him already. What do you need Anthony Hudson there for? Why why can't you just let him already work with the team? One of the biggest downfalls for me in my eyes during the previous regime was the 13 last month with Greg berhalter, where he was allowed to finish

"The Stanford university softball, his first goal for the United States. That must have been insane. Jordan Morris going from a college kid, a virtual unknown to the U.S. men's national team and scoring in his debut. I mean, listen to his interview, he gave our good friend roger Bennett on his podcast. I was painting myself for sure. I remember I got in the shower and I just sat in there for ten, 15 minutes and couldn't really believe that I was here because it was something that I dreamed about since I was a little kid. How a player like him, like Jordan Morris causes so much division amongst fans. There's really a divided opinion amongst the U.S. fan base. There's the fan base who likes MLS and there's those who just don't respect the MLS product. They just discredit it. I mean, as a fan, you should want everybody in this umbrella. Everybody in the pool performing at the most optimal levels. It's okay, I should add that you're a U.S. men's national team fan and not like Major League Soccer. That's fine, but it's stupid for a fantasy discredit what a player can do in Major League Soccer and think they have no place in this ecosystem. I mean, I'm not trying to tell you that it should be in the starting 11 or that any MLS player should be in the starting 11. I'd advocate that the higher level that you play in, the better for the U.S. national team. But it doesn't mean you don't have a place in the setup. All right, let's talk about maybe why the divide is the way it is today. Why are players in MLS such polemic figures around the U.S. men's national circles today? Let's go back to the Jurgen Klinsmann days. U.S. men's national coach Jurgen Klinsmann criticized the quality of MLS following the return of national team stars like Clint Dempsey Tim Howard Michael Bradley, Alejandro bedoya and so forth. And I quote, I made it clear what Clint's moved back and Bradley's moved back that it's going to be very difficult for them to keep the same level that they experience in places that they were talking about Europe. It's just a reality Clinton's mental reporters. It's just being honest. Okay, he's absolutely right. He's absolutely right. How does MLS commissioner Don Garber respond? MLS commissioner Don Garber offered point to comments on his own directed at Klinsmann. Calling his remarks very detrimental to the league. This is Garber. They are Dutch are much of the sport of soccer in America. And everything that we are trying to do north of the border, and not only do I think their detrimental, I think they are wrong. He would go on to add to an interview he gave to ESPN a 1015, the fact that MLS standouts such as Columbus crews, Ethan Finley, Benny fell however sporting Kansas City, and Red Bull products Dax mccarty and lease robust, all of whom were named to the league's best at 11 on Sunday, have not been called a by klinsman this year is unfair and unwarranted and he goes on to say it deeply bothers him. Okay, so now we're starting to see a little bit of a divide here. So the commissioner of the league, Major League Soccer, is publicly reprimanded and in disagreement with Jurgen kloss and the head coach of the U.S. men's national team for his comments. That's really how this divides started. This MLS quota that many seem to think exist, it starts with Don Garber. It starts with Jurgen Klinsmann's comments. And it's been blown completely out of proportion. And the ones who are paying for it are the players. Players like Jordan Morris. Now, it's not just Don Garber. It's not just Jurgen Klinsmann. It's also Greg berhalter. He's got a little bit of blame here. No coach in the history of the U.S. national pool has had the pool of players that Greg berhalter has had to work with. That's just a fact. So when you have a pool like this and you have three game windows, as Greg borough halter had in the last World Cup qualifying. And oftentimes in those windows, you go on the road and you mix it up, you play an alternate lineup, or a mixed lineup, and those players end up being Major League Soccer players, and they don't win, what a fan see. They think Major League Soccer is part of the reason that you're not winning. And I get Greg brer halter. Listen, three game windows, and he would play everybody. And I mean everybody. Everybody but the third goalkeeper, like 26 players at a 27. But they would fail to get results. And when they did, it was on the road, and it was the mixed bag and these Major League Soccer players included. And fans looking for an excuse, they found it. That's what it was. It was the MLS player. Just are unjust, fans looking for an excuse would find an excuse. And most recently, if we want to go back to the World Cup, look at the Giovanni Reina situation. The limited role how it was handled. And when questioned as to why Greg berhalter said he preferred Jordan Morris to come on versus wells in those dying minutes in Qatar as opposed to Giovanni Rena, a player with a much higher ceiling and I quote, he said this in the face of the game we were at, we went with Jordan, who felt could give a speed and power. Now, that wasn't the reason he went with Jordan. We would have come to find out everything that happened with Giovanni Reina, the Reina's viper halter's, Jordan was a scapegoat. So fancy, Jordan Morris preferred over a player like Giovanni reyna of course, it adds to the pressure to add to this narrative. He inadvertently, if you will, created this tension. And I've seen a lot of things used against players like Jordan Morris, one of many. Those action Instagram Live that I remember germane Jones did when he used to play with the LA galaxy. I just saw surfaced again, resurfaced online. Jermaine Jones,

"Appropriate here? Why not both? Would you like to see a two upfront for the U.S.? Who do you sacrifice? Giovanni Reina? Is it Christian Pulisic? It's a tough one. I really think this four three three is probably the best suited for this team, especially in transition. But there's going to be a time for Darrell deacon, but absolutely a player with his traits to play with those intangibles. There'll be a need for him. Okay. So there we have it Ricardo peppy and Daryl DK, the two number 9s in camp for the U.S. men's national team as they get set for Concacaf Nations League action. Tomorrow night against Grenada. All right, Eric, let's move on to ballagan watch an event for week for following ball again, the 21 year old Brooklyn New York native who's eligible to represent England, the U.S., Nigeria. He's representative. England and the United States of course at youth national team level. 17 goals in league on this season on loan from arsenal last show, we told you that England and Gareth Southgate, they passed on the chance to call him up to their senior camp since then balagan has pulled out of England's under 21 camp due to an injury, and then he flew across the Atlantic Ocean to Orlando where the U.S. team, of course, is training. "Rafa marques used to do a lot with Barcelona and the Mexican national team at times. So I would explore that option, but I don't think you have anybody that's alike for life for Tyler Adams. All right, let's get to the $1 million question, shall we? 'cause I see you've put geo Rena in your starting lineup. It makes a lot of sense, right? Especially with Tim wea, a late injury scratch because of the concussion concerns. If we was in this camp with rain and still be a starter, yeah, he would for me. Over Tim way, really. Well. Listen, Jill rain is a starter in my mind in any lineup for the U.S. min's nationally. I think it's sealing that big. The situation with Jill rain has never been about his quality. It's never been about the actual play. It's been about Jill rayna staying fit and the fiasco he had at the World Cup. Was him acting out like a petulant child and they worked through those problems. The players Jill raina and Perl accounts for all the reports. They moved on from it. It was the adults that didn't move on. It was his parents, The Rain as it was the burr halters and that drama and how he got sucked in. So now he's in this situation where Jill Reina, if he's in this lineup, the only worry I have is a psyche because that's a lot. How he will be treated, how he thinks he may be treated on the field or by his teammates or the insecurities that come with it, but Jill Rayne just talent alone of these healthy. He's at any line of you can possibly think of for the U.S. national team. And also multiple positions because per Paul tenario. He's been deployed as a center midfielder in this camp. Yeah, so it was interesting, right? Because I think maybe after the World Cup, when you started looking at Gio reyna, coming and playing it dormant, you were like, all right, he's on fire. But then basically there's been nothing but DNP since then, almost like from red hot to ice cold. Is this a player? And as a former player, I'm kind of surprising you say this that like independent of form. He has to play. Well, I don't think forms ever been an issue with Jill reign. It's been injury. I mean, would you, can you think of it right now? Yeah, in the last month or so, right? In the last month or so, he's been fit. He's been on the bench, but he's been an unused sub. So he's available, but not playing. That to me would suggest a dip in form certainly after the hot start when he came back from the World Cup. What you're saying is, this guy's so good that even when his forms down, you got a plan. Yeah, you're saying it's for him. I don't think it's a dip in form. I think there's something else there, either something that at Dortmund they think it's physical. Independent of even playing time, he should play. If he's healthy, he's in my lineup at this concave level, absolutely. If you're thinking because after scoring three goals, he didn't crack the lineup of four at games for borus Dortmund who were the hottest team in the world at the time. I think they've only lost once since the new year that that excludes him from a Concacaf lineup. But I think Giovanni Reina and his ceiling are an any lineup you can think of for the U.S. national team. All right, whether it's out wide or in midfield, we shall see. What about the number 9 position? Only two real number 9s target guys in this camp, Darrell DK and Ricardo peppy. You went with peppy and his goals in the air to visit over DK and his goals in the championship. Why? Listen, Ricardo puppy's already been part of this program and he's been an important player in this program. You should have been to Qatar. You should have gone to Qatar. Let's start there. He's a player that actually the first window safe burger bulger's job. He's a player that comes out against Honduras, changes the face of this game, goes from being a

"A lot of us had a Tim ream, was the nation's League final in Denver versus the Mexican national team, where Diego liners comes on as a super sub. Diego Linus who I will remind you since he went to Europe has zero league goals in La Liga. Zero league goals in Portugal, he abused Tim reem in that moment scores a goal and that was the last moment of turning and he's gone. Maybe that shouldn't have been the case because just let me give you an example of what quality veteran leadership is. And mana kuppa and Tim ream. I was wrong. He was one of the better players, if not the best player in the U.S. missed out in his back line easily in that World Cup in 2022. He continues to this day to be a very important element of the U.S. miss national team, but let me give you this example of good veteran leadership. This is what Tim ream actually two days ago had to say about Giovanni Reina being back in camp for this critical concatenations league window. For us as a leadership and all the guys in camp is to see that he's working hard, training hard that he's wanting to be here up to this point, you know, it's been nothing but positive, having conversations with different guys. You know, everybody's knows what he can bring to the table. Everybody knows how talented he is. And to see him come in here with that attitude and the work rate and the desire to be a part of the group and just get back on level terms with everyone without having to overly address it has been a big positive for all the guys to see. He's speaking about Giovanni Reina. This is a veteran player who was on the outside looking in until the World Cup until the final moments of that tournament. Who now you can see how valuable that veteran presence is, keeping those guys grounded more this and maybe we don't see the circus fiasco we saw in the World Cup outside of the field. So let's fast forward today. Present time. There's two games for Anthony Hudson and this cock caffe Nations League window, very important games. By no means will they be easy. Friday 24th and Monday 27th, Granada, and El Salvador, here's a problem that may arise for Anthony Hudson. Right now, the players, they see him as the interim. Actually, the majority see him as the assistant coach, because that's what he was to those players. He was the assistant coach at the World Cup. To see this person as more than just an assistant coach, will be difficult for Anthony Hudson. So he needs to get it right. He needs to make those players respect them and immediately. This is a group where these players have been coached, this pool has been coached by some of the best coaches around the world. José Mourinho, you have Pep Guardiola. You have in the likes of Julia nagelsmann. Some of the brightest minds in the game. Anthony Hudson needs to command that respect because if he doesn't and they don't get results, things are going to go south very quickly. Listen, accidents can't happen. El Salvador can play very well and they can get a result versus the U.S. men's national Granada. They can do the same thing sure. These things can happen in football. But I'm paper. I mean, come on, guys. You can not compare V two teams, roster wise on paper, where they play the level where they've been the programs, what they should do. Is it a big arrogant to think you should win both games? Sure, is it expected? Absolutely. That's where this program is. It's level on paper at least. The greatest collection of American players. The golden generation for the U.S. national team. Who have been putting his body on the line not once, but twice. Was the substitute deflected and the back of the net. That was St. Louis city's third goal scored by Thomas Austria. For

"I played with like real vets and it was a lot of stuff that I learned, you know, how to lead from mo Williams and Earl Watson and Jared Jeffries. And they didn't even play. When I came in the league, you had to earn not just what you get from the team or like the respect you had to you had to earn your space on the team. That was Damian Lillard of the Portland Trail Blazers, one of the best ballers in the NBA today. He's on the old man and the three podcast with JJ Redick, great basketball party. You can check it out here actually on wondery. These comments from dame Lillard actually got me thinking, he's talking about culture, the veteran presence and how some of these veterans didn't even play, but it was important for the culture. It got me thinking about some comments that Christian ballistic actually made to ESPN FC. And this is where culture comes in. Listen to Christian Pulisic talk with Graham hunter in this interview about Greg berhalter and that culture. When you battle in moments when there's that much pressure and you've done that together, you've gone through the tough times together, the tough moments, and then you've had those incredible victories when you feel like you're on top of the world. You experience those things together. And you create something special. Like I said, that's going to be there for the rest of my life in our lives. Listen, before we get into the team culture aspect of what Christian political was talking about, I want to talk about Christian Pulisic. It almost seems like he's backing Greg burr hall to actually he did back Greg berhalter in this interview and extensive 40 plus minute interview. I understand what Christian Pulisic is coming from. I really do. I mean, this is a player whose career has been riddled with injuries. Sometimes fairly or unfairly in and out of the lineup, with different coaches, whether it was Frank Lampard, where there's Thomas Tuchel who actually gave freshing politic his debut at Bruce de Dortmund or now with grandpa. It was always something. Christian Pulisic fairly or unfairly would be judged by his playing time, his form and what he did or did not do. And finally, Greg berhalter finds a coach who trusts him, who takes him under his wing, who gives him responsibility and leadership. Greg berhalter was maybe the first coach in Christian politics, professional upbringing that really instilled that trust in him. So I understand, of course, why he wouldn't want to change anything, why he would want to keep everything the same. The need, the necessity, the wanting of somebody like Rick barter back who trusts him. I get that. Trust me, you'll never hear me say anything bad about Jurgen Klinsmann. The ex U.S. national coach, Jurgen brought me along to U.S. men's national team and he played me. He valued me. When somebody believes in you, when somebody has that confidence, it's very difficult for you to speak ill of them. I will never speak ill of Jurgen Klinsmann. Regardless of what other people say about his tenure, I was valued. I felt important there. You will never hear that from me. This is what Christian politically saying, essentially. He's found in Greg brehal a coach who values him. But let's get back to actually what dame Lillard is talking about. He's talking about a culture and the veterans and how they affect that culture. Let's go back to when the U.S. national didn't qualify for the World Cup. Everything that happened in the aftermath. It's essentially a new process, a rebuild. They're giving all these kids all these caps, all these appearances. Some very warranted some because you need to accelerate the process. It was very much so a lord of the flies type of environment. Now, a lot of the flies is a book that I remember reading as a kid. These kids, they're on this deserted island, and they kind of have to govern themselves and everything that happens in the aftermath of kids ruling themselves. Governing themselves. It really was that type of environment for the U.S. mins downstream. Maybe we saw some of those growing pains at the World Cup with the Giovanni Reina, the Reina parents and the bergers and that scandal. Listen, I remember my first actual camp with the U.S. bins nationally was 2007. It was a Copa América, a very big tournament. And the veteran presence that was there. I mean, one of the very first players there to talk to me was Casey Keller. One of the all time best goalkeepers in U.S. national team history. You move my playing career along forward with the U.S. miss national team and I had the likes of Carlos book and Agra, Tim Howard, Steve cherundolo, DeMarcus Beasley, Clint Dempsey, land and Donovan Michael Bradley gooch. I mean, damn. There was so many as a young player. You can act out of line. You can feel entitled, and that's what dame litter was getting at. When he spoke about those veteran players, some of who didn't even play, but were there to teach them the right things. Teach them what it's like to be in a culture. Teach them what it's like to be that professional. At that level. Now these players have their club teams, but there's nothing like the national team. Why do I say this? I talk about veteran leadership. Tim green right now. I've been one of Tim range's most critical critical voices out there. Tim ring, who's 35 years old right now.

"Iran, I did the third World Cup finish. Et cetera, et cetera, his bad man management, everything that happened at the symposium, the leadership symposium, what Johnny ray et cetera, et cetera, John Anthony Brooks saw that went down Weston McKinney in that protocol, all this other stuff. Let me give you the other side of that coin. Can you imagine the first time if he's back? The first time he has a camp. The circus surrounding everything that would happen with Greg burr halter. The scrutiny for Greg bureau halter for the players, the time that he has to call Giovanni Reina up because you're not gonna knock on, you're not going to not call up one of your players. Of course. You're gonna call Giovanni reign up. What that would be like for him. Four Giovanni Reina, for the pool of players, it's a terrible idea. Now, I ask myself why Christian Pulisic would say this. Christian Pulisic is a player that needs to be loved. You saw it there in the Montage. Greg burter valued him, made him a captain, a lot of games showed him that love, and trusted in him that faith of being a leader on the team, he had in Greg berhalter, coach who believed in him, something that he's not had at Chelsea with Frank Lampard with Thomas Tuchel, certainly with Graham Potter. The majority of it's always something with the coach in Chelsea. It's always something, okay? He found in Greg berhalter, somebody who believed him. So I understand why he would go out there and back him the no doubt in my mind. A little tough to hear given the circumstances, but I could see an empathize with why he would say that. So I've heard you many times saying, just like now, why you don't believe Gerber holder should be back, right? When I listened to Christian Pulisic, maybe the fact the way he's saying it should give us an idea how the players feel about working with Greg Berg holder and Anne that everything as grand said during their interview. Those gains, right? Those gains that because you all the results and all the steps. Yeah, they were not great, but they were not bad. So there were some things that were achieved under Greg berhalter. Don't you believe that the fact that players like him players like working with them should also be a factor when choosing the new manager for the team? No, the biggest factor should be who can help you win. Who can help you transcend? Who can help you get better? Who can help you take your game and elevate it to the next level, not who you feel comfortable with. The reality is Christian Pulisic is backing Greg berhalter in this clearly, yeah. It's not that the player pool is backing Greg burr Holter. That's what he speaks for to players. No, no, no. He speaks for you. Listen. Do you think he speaks for children right now? I mean, not gia, but many other players. And by the way, by the way, you don't think about those many other players really quickly. Per the athletic,

"Good at global America. He's coming back from injury. But he is still going to play more as a right winger than anything else. Okay. Let's say he stays put at lube America. Wait, wait, wait, you said you're not so sure about him going to your boys. That's exactly what I'm saying. Let's say he's staying at Cleo America. Tell me why he's not going in your way. He can't go to Europe. I mean, he can, but where, right? I mean, to go to a top team, I don't think so. Well, that's not hold on. Hold on, that's not up for me and you. That's not even important. Right. That's not even important to my point. My point is, if he stays at lower America and still place the next three years, as a right winger, do you seem that can he compete for a spot in the U.S. national team playing as a right winger? You can compete. I don't think you're going to get the result you want. Those positions, wingers, whatever side you're on, you've got a Christian Pulisic. You've got a Giovanni Reina. You've got a Timothy Leia, you've got to burn in aaronson. You've got, honestly, the likes of booth and Meghan who I don't think can fit into these 8 roles who you might need to throw out into a wind, there's Paxton, yeah. There's a different players, lots of different players that you just can't peg in a certain place that might end up on the wing and somehow. So it's a crowded field. All right, more national team related news. It was announced on Tuesday the new continental classical, an annual event featuring the U.S. miss national team hosting what was labeled as a top tier opponent from North America or Central America or South America. First edition April 19 against Mexico, England Arizona, who benefits more from this recently instituted continental classico. Either neither or both USA or Mexico. Some. Marketing benefits the most from this. Out of these two out of these two, it would be ligaments. Excuse me. The Mexican national team, which essentially, in this case, would be the same thing. This date is not like a FIFA national fixture. It would be all ligaments all Major League Soccer. And the reason it benefits Mexico is because we just named the U.S. Military international roster for the nation's league, there's one player from Major League Soccer. Two from Liga and Mickey's. Your whole team is now European based, whereas Mexico's the majority and historically the majority have been league at Mickey's based. And those players who have been of important positions from them today and in the past have also been Liga and Mickey's base and those who could potentially go abroad are still to date Liga Mickey's base, which is maybe not the case for the U.S. miss national team. We're going to talk about Josh Weinberg in a little bit. 17 year old who's going to go to Benfica from the U.S. south. So it's always back to ligaments, which is why it benefits the Mexican in this fixture date, but make no bones about it. The one who benefits the most here, of course. Is some. Whoever's making the big box is actually benefiting from this. Now it's for the fans. It's great just to have another classical. If you're an USA player in Mexico, let's go. I'll go. I'll take that. That sets back on Monday, by the way. So I want to say both. You're right. Everything you said regarding the Mexican national team, the fact that at least 50% of the current called the players play in Mexico, that benefits, that's reps and this team on the Diego. They need the reps, but for the younger potential, U.S. men's national team players. The fact that they can have an experience like that, playing against the big rival in what most likely will be an away game for the U.S. men's national team. I mean, that's actually something of value. So in the end, in the end, both teams end up benefiting from a game like this. You took the easy way out, didn't you? I never take the easy way out. If anything, I always take the tub way out. Spring is almost here. Give us baseball.

"It didn't work out with chibas, works out when the galaxy glue America. He's off the radar of the U.S. men's national team for quite some time. How does he get on the radar for Mexico? After he had gone on to play for the U 17s, they obviously found out that he could have or had a Mexican passport because he was born in Ciudad Juarez, right? So when he signs for chivas, chief us essentially tells him, we can't have players who play for other national teams other than the Mexican national teams, which is not the case anymore as we've seen. Yeah, they've had a player play for the Peruvian national team in the last 6 months, right? Santiago. So now sandek has this sort of obligated at that point in time to at least reject any future U.S. men's national team call ups. And over the course of those years, he sort of warms to the fact that the Mexican national team is now calling him up for U 21 games, U 23 games. And of course, there's a problem here because FIFA has changed their regulations over the last few years. And you can't sort of switch back between two national teams regardless of what your heritage and what your citizenship status is. So by the time 2022 rolls around and Mexico is still looking for players that might be able to help them in Qatar. And the Mexican federation call him up for this pair of friendlies. Which he eventually plays in, but before they do that, they try to get him to sign a one time switch without telling him it's a one time switch. They essentially tried to manipulate the situation, try to get them to sign a one time switch by disguising that it was a one time switch. And from my understanding, they did this while he was about to walk on to the team bus for a playoff game. Versus puebla, that's when they tried to slide this slip in and hey sign this? One of those persons came up to send that, as you mentioned, very casually before he was boarding the bus and said, we're going to call you up for the next couple of games and we might actually be considering taking you to the World Cup at this point. But we need you to sign this paper, don't worry about it. This is just a kind of a paper that will show your loyalty and will assure us as a federation that you are not considering going with the United States to the World Cup or any other game at this point. They never mentioned the words one time switch. They never mentioned the word FIFA. They never mentioned that it's binding. It's a very long document. And they don't expect him to read it because again, he's on the steps of the bus. And so that has very carefully and rightfully says, I'll take a look at it later. I'm not going to sign this right now, but he immediately informs his representation, right? When you think about just how bad the Mexican football federation botched this, Alejandro has taken the decision right now in a program with no sporting director, no head coach, no guarantee if the next head coach will value him, a deeper player roster in positions that he could be of need. I mean, if you want to play him at the winger position, you've got Christian Pulisic. You have Timothy weah, Giovanni Reina. You have the likes of Brendan aaronson, et cetera, et cetera. If you want to play in the midfield, well, he's probably going up against Weston McKinney, Luca del toro, Eunice Musa, mahi levy, Adams, Adams. Yeah, if you want to play as a double 6, which he has in the past. In Mexico, he'd have an easier road, right? Absolutely. I would say that if he would have gone on to play for Mexico and you take a look at the current squad that has been selected, that's 34 players for two games. Even then, when you take a look at Mexico's midfield and you take a look at the options that they have on the wing, I would say that Zendaya has compares very favorably to some of the names on that list like Diego Linus, who obviously came back from a very difficult spell in Europe and is now with digress and Liga MX. You've got players that are in Europe right now, like Gutierrez, who normally play more towards the middle over at PSV at saint Alvarez, who's obviously more of a defensive midfield option. Luis Romo, who was talked about so much from league MX and tried to make it out to Europe, but ended up in monterrey. And Luis Chavez, who had a very good World Cup and was talked about potentially going to Bundesliga, but didn't do so. None of these players I would say at this point in time are on the level and have that sort of notoriety, not just in Mexico, but in Europe, than the players that you've just mentioned for the U.S. men's national team. A lot of those guys are in Europe, a lot of those guys are plying their trade and some of the best leagues in the world, whereas in Mexico, it pretty much, especially at this point in time, you only need to be very good for your Liga MX team to be considered. If you're in Europe, that's a huge bonus. You're pretty much guaranteed to call up at that time. But sendek has wouldn't need to do that. I mean, he's playing very well. He's playing great football for one of the two most important teams in the country. And for him to go and do that, as you mentioned, just says so much about how they mishandled the situation and how at this point in time, even Mexico, they do have a new national team coach in Diego coca. They do have a new governing body that's kind of helping them navigate this period towards the 2026 World Cup. They will have a new president, of course, but that's just a very top the tip of the spear, right? The rest of the organization has been filled out and sendek has did not want to engage with this new organization and he just, you know, passed when they came in last minute, January of this year and asked him to reconsider and go back to the Mexican national team. At that point, he said, no, the decision had been made. And now he's on the U.S. team for good. A lot of people are asking themselves how these players can switch back and forth or why it's such a tough decision. I will say this being Mexican American myself and I know you have a love and appreciation for two different countries as well living two different cultures, especially being in a border town. When the love and respect is equal to these cultures to these countries, for these kids, it really becomes a business decision at times and there's nothing wrong with that. Choosing where you play your football doesn't define who you are as a person, where you kick a soccer ball, what color of the Jersey is, won't define Alejandro Zendaya and who he is. So great stuff I'm an Erica. Don't go anywhere. I want to bring you back for little memo chila talk and some Mexican national team. So don't go anywhere. "Seen mieno. Got a big show, Alejandro zendejas is coming to play for the U.S. miss national team. Over Mexico, we're gonna talk memo choa and a very polemic statement about him wanting to play his 6th World Cup. Yes, you heard that right. 6 world cups. And of course, we're talking classicals. Classical nationale. And L classical in Spain. So what are you waiting for? Vamos. Okay, it happened Monday, but we're all still talking about it. The independent report that U.S. soccer put out on Monday, the law firm of alston and bird, the investigators and their findings. Of this whole drama with the burr halters and what really is U.S. soccer royalty. Claudio reyna, one of the best players to ever play for the U.S. men's national his wife, Danielle reyna, who played for the women's national team and certainly one of the most talented players in today's pool Giovanni Reina player a Borussia Dortmund, we're going to unpack a lot. It's a lot to take in as you recall, this all stands around The Rain as and the berhalter's lifelong friends. The Rain is threatening to leak information about Gregory halter, assaulting his then girlfriend now wife rosslyn. When they were students at UNC back in the early 1990s. Why did The Rain us do this? Essentially it's overplaying time. It's over the treatment of their son Giovanni and what happened at the World Cup. Now, before I give my opinion, there are a few things I think we should highlight. What did the investigation reveal? It revealed a few things. For halter is still a jewel coach, the U.S. miss national team will get into that in a bit. The investigation on society, we were impressed with mister Paul halter's candor, his demeanor during the investigation. He corroborated fully and extensively with our investigation and our request for interviews. Okay. They had less than favorable things to say about The Rain as. We were less impressed with the radius corporation during investigation. After several attempts to schedule an interview, we had two very brief conversations with misses rayna, we did not succeed in having a follow-up conversation with her or any conversation with mister Reina. Claudio, are you serious? Claudio reyna seriously? Why not just talk? Why not just clear your name? Sure, you're under no legal obligation to do so, but in the court of public opinion, that silence is deafening. That silence tells you more. Brian McBride, a general manager at the time for the U.S. miss national team shared a text that he received from mister Rena. In November 21 of 2022. It was actually after the game versus wells, a game that has sent did not play. Our entire family's disgusted angry and done with you guys. Don't expect nice comments from anyone in our family about soccer. I'm being transparent to you, not like the political clown show of federation. Okay, that was after the first game versus wells, a one one tie at the World Cup, a game that Giovanni Reina did not play. So it's out there. Where does the federation go from here? I mean, it's embarrassing follow U.S. soccer. Top to bottom. Just to fall out. By now, the world press has gotten hold of this, I've seen it in a Dutch press. I've seen it in German press. Geo is a big player at Dortmund, Kyrie has had extensive European career. It's just so embarrassing and so many levels. When the only news coming out about the U.S. men's national team and your federation, it's not the promising players how young and exciting they are, where they play, or what you think you may have done positively at the World Cup. It's this. It's this TMZ like behavior. That's what the rest of the world is seen. Now, there may be some positives for the federation here. Put this report, U.S. soccer now has to revisit policies, concerning appropriate parental conduct and communication, and then you and stock can finally move on. Maybe this will affect not only the national teams, but at a grassroots level, where I've personally seen parents helicopter parents where I've seen coaches abused, where I've seen referees abused, where the culture has become toxic. Maybe this trickles down and causes effect. As for Greg berhalter, how does this affect him going forward? Well, the federation and this report have cleared him, and he is eligible to be a U.S. national coach once again. Oh boy. I've maintained my position for so long. Greg burter is not the correct person to lead this team beyond the 2022 World Cup. Heading to 2026 arguably the biggest sporting moment in this federation's history. A World Cup at home. Let me focus on the sporting for a second. If third place in Concacaf and World Cup qualifying is enough to entice you to bring him back. If one win at the World Cup versus Iran, an Iran team that got smashed by England is enough for you to bring him back. If wins over Mexico three wins over Mexico. The worst Mexican generation of footballers that I've seen in my lifetime is enough to bring Greg Paltrow back. If the abysmal away record that Greg berhalter has with his team is enough to bring him back, I don't buy it. I don't like the direction this is going. Now, at this, as we know, with the Uranus, Giovanni Reina is just too much water under the bridge, could you imagine the very first time Giovanni rina gets called in? What are you not gonna call in your best player? One of your best players, you have to call him and it's just too much water under the bridge. It just shouldn't happen. They should move on for everybody's sake. Greg berhalter will certainly have opportunities to coach whether in Major League Soccer or maybe abroad. But it should no longer be with the U.S. national team. As for Danielle Reina and Claudio arena, a lot to unpack with Daniel Reina. And I can't even begin to stress out difficult. It must be for her after she lost her son, Jack rayna to brain cancer in 2013. And maybe the parental protection taking over, but that's no way to act. In doing so, she damaged her son's reputation, her reputation, her husband's reputation,

"Hatch you right. All right, so nations leaks coming up. Yes. So the U.S. mint's national team roster will be announced later this week. And so no formal managers still entering manager, the decision will be made in the summer, most likely. While sporting director first and then point at the first, right on. So we have questions for you. Okay. Regarding the roster for this two matches, Concacaf Nations League. Number one, will gerena be part of the nation's league roster. Yes. This shouldn't even be a question. It's a fireable offense if he's not. Now I understand given the context of everything that's happened with the report coming out and his parents the way they look. Those are The Rain as that is Danielle and Claudio Reina. This is not geo Rena, Gio reign is a 20 year old who made a mistake. He still happens to be by that way. The U.S. miss national nuclear with the highest ceiling of any player I've seen for quite some time. One of your best players that you have in the program, you don't ostracize this kid for the rest of his life or something his parents did. Jill Reina right now is a talented player in the U.S. miss national don't have the luxury of excluding talented players. Anthony Hudson goes to visit him in Dortmund for a reason. It doesn't matter. You can say, why is he visiting whatever? Somebody needs to check on the kid. Was that to let him know that what your parents did is what your parents did. That is not you. You have right now an opportunity to change the perception of you in that World Cup. He's a very talented player, and I firmly expect him on that roster. So, games against get another and El Salvador, right? So it's not playing for pretty much anything. How did they do against the southern work of qualifying? Fine. But I mean, you're playing for a couple of medical spots. Again, so not the most crucial games in U.S. soccer history. Are you a little concerned? With recent news and the report that we just talked about with Jeff Carlyle. That the way the locker room will welcome G arena. It's not going to be an easy conversation. An easy situation. You paint part of locker rooms like that. How do you think who should be in charge? Who should be the leader? Should there be a conversation or you just act like nothing happens just another player? Let's go back train and play and that's it. How do you handle that? You know what? Players want. They want to win. And Georgia is a player that can help them win. Winning cures all. That is a reality. When Gio arena was scoring goals for Dortmund, get so many people were talking about the Reina's and their terrible despicable attitude. Everybody was talking about Georgia. But Kurt, if you're the better employer, right? If you're a better employer, would you the men something for you? You're Tim Howard, if you're Clint Dempsey. Wait, where are they? No. This group right now. This group right now needs you Reina. This group fixed or found a solution at the World Cup and per everything we heard from them moved on from it. The only ones who did not move on from the situation were the adults in the room. That's how sad this is. Everybody else, this young generation of kids, these 20 year olds moved on from the situation. The only ones who did not were the adults in the room. Jill rayna is a talented player and I guarantee you this won't be the first time he made that he's made a mistake or that he will make a mistake. He's 20 years old. If how you were at 20 years old is the same person you say today, if that's how people. We're all in trouble. So Giovanni Reina right now only has to deal with himself. How do you have any raina handles himself? He can't worry about what other players think. And by the way, players, if you're going into that locker room and you're holding anything that's Giovanni renner because of his parents, you don't understand what the sport's about. You're there to win. It's not the first time that a collection of players have been somewhere and maybe uncomfortable with it. And life goes on and it won't be the last. Let me ask you this. Do you believe this locker room? I mean, whatever the roster looks like in the end is mature enough. Big enough veteran enough to handle that situation because you are a veteran. Dude, right? I mean, you would be the veteran player, but and I agree with you. I'm not saying you're wrong. I'm saying you're right. But my concern is, is that locker room as mature as you have just exposed the locker room needs to be to welcome G arena. They've already proven it. They were the adults in the room when everybody wanted to kick western McKinney off the team. They were the adults in the room in the World Cup when they were about to send them home, or when the arenas went off the rails. They were the adults in the room, saying how they disapproved with Greg burr halter for saying what he did at the symposium. They've been the adults in the room this whole time. So yes, I have faith in that locker room. Yeah, he's so talented and they should handle the situation. Whatever way they need to do it. Question number two. All right, here we go. Which World Cup snub will be back on nation's league roster. Zach Stefan, Jordan peek, or

"Was as a young kid who had been who has been through a lot. What's your initial reaction to see this from Hudson? We mentioned how important he was about three or four times. Yeah, okay, I think a lot of it what I've been seeing is solution to what is there still a problem with Giovanni Reina. My initial reaction is it's not that there's still a problem with Giovanni Reina. He addresses a problem that happened at the World Cup. So one would assume like he says, you handle that with that player and you move on. The problem is you didn't move on. The problem is Greg berhalter Edison spoke about a player who was in disciplined and how they handled it. Everybody deciphered that it was Giovanni Reina and the fallout that led to the reign of family, his parents, reaching out to the federation, speaking ill a Greg berhalter and his family and the fallout that is today. There's too much water under this bridge. And that's why it seems like the most rational thing to do is from somebody in the federation, Anthony Hudson, in this case, to go and visit a player in Giovanni reyna, who's not been plain lately. Yeah. So you got to figure out why he's not been playing lately. One is it health because he's got his fair share fair share of health issues, fitness, is he not say it. Well, is he not fit to is it more? Is it something mentally? Is he not in the right state of mind? Or is there a problem within the team? You need to figure that out because there's still this lingering dark cloud over Giovanni Reina and what it will be like the very first time he's in that U.S. mission camp, that setup. And the only person that was there that's in charge right now, that's a reality because it's not going to be Ernie Stewart. It's not going to be a Brian McBride. It's Anthony Hudson. Whether any of us would like that to be the case or not, that's the reality. So I see nothing wrong with an Anthony Hudson in a very mature way. Going to see how this 20 year old kid is doing. Yeah. Basically

"An interesting topic that, of course, made so much noise after the World Cup and it's still an entire stage said this. About Giovanni rina. He's always suffered setbacks. He was injured once with the national team. He had made a few short appearances played from the start against Reddit Bremen and had no playing time in the last three matches. He has to be diligent and patient. Does he hurt? What do you think? Far more alarm. Alarm alarm alarm. Listen, Giovanni is a Giovanni Reina is an insane talent. That's not up for debate. Nobody's putting that right now and saying, is that the question? Is he talented enough to be on the field? Here's what we do know right now. Borussia Dortmund is one of the hottest teams in the world. They've not even lost their dog, drawn a game since the World Cup. They've been very good. Jill reign has only played about 500 minutes this season, okay? A few things we know about Gio reyna given his history that we have to assume here. Two things. First is he's not necessarily the most fit player in the last year. He's had fitness issues, okay? They have disclosed how they're taking it slow with them. And that has been constant throughout their communication with fans and pundits. He had three straight games where he comes off the bench and scores a goal. To not play the next three games, not even one minute, that's cause for an alarm. If you're healthy because given his history, we know that he's a difficult

"Was published by Yahoo sports in our interview earnings tour, touching on different subjects, mainly talking about his time at U.S. soccer and the things hurt that he believes need to be done in order to quote unquote take the next step. He's no longer in charge, but I think a lot of things that are worth our time touching on what was the biggest takeaway from this interview for you. My biggest takeaway was that Ernie Stewart said a lot without saying anything, okay? A lot about nothing, if you will. He talked about how he was in charge of bringing Gerber holder in. He spoke about how it wasn't his job on picking the next coach, that would have been Brian McBride. He spoke about the DNA, the style of play, and how he thought that the U.S. national team, excuse me, the U.S. nationally had a very good work up. Yeah. Which I don't agree with. He even went as far as to say if you take out the scoreline against the other one. That was a great quote. Yeah, I love that. It was good. Where was it good? The best player on that day for your team, if you had to consider your goals. Matt Turner was the best player on your team that day. And then you can go down the list of things when he talks about the pyramid, and he never mentions pro rel, et cetera, et cetera. I'll leave you with this. Okay? When we think about Ernie Stewart in his legacy as a sporting director, there are a few things you will remember. You will remember he was in charge of bringing Greg berhalter in. And you will remember how Greg berhalter left. You will remember Ernie Stewart was a one catering to phone calls with overbearing helicopter parents. You will remember that his role in the Giovanni Reina, Daniel rayna, Claudio reyna, and the berhalter's, and that saga with U.S. soccer. That's what you will remember of Ernie Stewart. You were also remembering he decided to leave. U.S. soccer leave this team for PSV. That is what you will remember of Ernie Stewart in his role as a sporting director. In furnace to the report, he was asked about the Greg berhard reign of family situation. He said he was not able to comment, but he was asked. Now, I didn't investigation. Yeah. Exactly. Pending investigation. My biggest takeaway, and I wanted to talk to you about this and I talked to you a little bit before we came on the air, but I didn't want to talk a lot because I wanted to have at least I want to ask you this. He talked about the new player, right? And he was a little bit about the same thing that Greg Bert halter had to say had to say about after the loss against the Netherlands, right? We do not have a Memphis the pie. And I believe Ernie Stewart was also leading us into that. We need a new player, not his 15 or 16. When they're even younger, we need a world class player and my first thought was, well, you guys do have world class players. I thought the new U.S. player was already here. The Christian politics of the world, the western McKinney of the world, the Tyler Adams of the world. Who are we kidding? So a lot of negativity, a lot of negativity towards the talent of the U.S. player. You could say it's maybe finger pointing saying we couldn't succeed because we didn't have because he was saying that the U.S. didn't have that difference maker in the final third and maybe he's right. You look at the names you just mentioned, those names aren't world class players, especially if we look in the final third. They're not difference makers on TV or. Memphis, Memphis, a way better player than Christian blizzard. Well, in all fairness to him, that's not his comparison. That was great. That was great. But which is an error, which is a joke and it shouldn't have been done. But in a separate report, one of Brian Strauss is the best sporting sports illustrator. He talks about culture and wanting to bring in somebody next future U.S. men's national coach. Who understands the culture. I would ask to that what culture? What culture are you asking about? Because the culture that you've had at U.S. soccer or the identity, I should say, historically, is
