There are some jokes that really needs to just be you. You joke around with your friends just your friends you small circle of friends when you throw him back a few vodka beverages with alcohol and you will say things jokes that you would never put out into the real world because you just know. There's a line drawn and that line is just around you and your immediate circle of friends because the humor's inappropriate and if it got out into the real world people would think that you're a psychopath. This is one of those instances where you've got to think to yourself all right if i if this joke makes out into the world will people think i'm crazy and an inappropriate parent and the answer to that is yes but i also agree with her. That you can't control other people's sense of humor and people do need to chill out a bit when it comes to stuff like this but There's something about this particular post that makes me makes me say you know maybe keep us to your immediate circle of friends and you guys disagree agree. Choppers would also have to have flight and voice recorders. The National Transportation Safety Board says it will announce the results of its investigation into the crash next month. Investigators have previously said the pilot appeared to have become disoriented in heavy fog. And that cause might have saved the chopper from crashing into that Calabasas hillside a year ago. The Federal Aviation Administration has declined a request to make Taz mandatory and the aviation industry opposes Feinstein in Sherman's bill, saying the systems are unnecessary and prohibitively expensive. We're all counting on the covert 19 vaccine to help end the corona virus pandemic. But recently new, more infectious versions of the virus have been showing up around the world. Raising questions about how well the existing vaccines will work against these variants. Today, Vaccine maker Moderna announced its vaccine does seem to work against at least two of the new variants. Joining us to talk about this is NPR's science correspondent Joe Palka, Hijo. Hi, Ari. How did my during a test It's vaccine against these new variants. Well, it took blood from people who'd already been vaccinated and then mix that blood with a synthetic version of the viruses that are popping up and as you, they said, they're particularly interested in the variance that were first seen in the UK and South Africa. He seemed to be especially infectious and then look to see whether there were antibodies in the blood. Of these people who had been vaccinated that can neutralize the virus that is prevented from infecting cells and the vaccines worked. I mean, meaning the antibodies in the blood of people vaccinated could neutralize the virus. But in the case of the variant originating in South Africa, the vaccine the blood didn't do is good. A job of neutralizing it Good enough. They think to protect someone, but not as good. And and and so what does that mean? In terms of people's fears about the vaccines? Failing against these? These new strains? Well, it basically means that people have to be aware that it's possible that this won't work exactly as advertised. Now this was a small study. It doesn't guarantee success or failure at this point, but it's encouraging, at least for now. You know that there is some indication at least that the vaccines are working. And is there a plan of attack if the vaccine turns out not to work as effectively?.
