"To a lot of work in that space. Which I I love What do you think it is about that character? Though that caught fire it feels to me came along sort of the right time in the sequence of Superhero movies as the little bit of turning the knife and spoofing. At a bit yeah. I think there's something really fun about a true rascal. He works in a kind of space. That isn't just that typical kind of pg thirteen thing and also deadpool is is is a superhero that. I think Audience audiences tend to to really connect with because he's for the people he's speaking to the audience in the movie And there's also something else that deadpool does. Which is he does. Walk that that. Very precarious tight rope between good and bad. He's always kind of struggling with his own moral compass and and I think that's a very relatable thing for a superhero to have a guy with this superhuman ability who has faced a lot of crap in his life and still sort of pushes on and we also don't deal with world stakes deadpool's never trying to save the world. It's all about the little things he's trying to save a kid or he's trying to write this one good things that he can move one notch up closer to maybe heavens. Sunday or something. But I don't think most people realize what it took to get the movies made in the first place before the first one was made. Get in there get you some Aviation Jin. Before the movie was made it was. What eleven years in the making? And why did it take so long? I think it was a real gamble. I think any studio would sort of say that that it was a character that was for them was a huge gamble. What was working at the time? Where these very much more traditional superhero movies that we're a little subversive and they're all well made. I mean like the stuff that Marvel's doing incredible convenience hire vendors casts all those guys. They hit it out of the park every time but but it was unique. It was something completely different. So I get why studios. Don't WanNa take a risk on something that is going against the grain of what's working and Deadpool was small enough that I think that they were able to eventually take that risk. Now are test footage that we created years before accidentally leaked onto the internet which was very unfortunate for four. The studio has the search for the leaker. Go biking to work as hard as I can. I invest almost all of my spare time and trying to find find that bastard culprit bring him to justice. Bring him to his knees. Give them a hot bath. Let them his kids into bed at night on June company. Someday I No that was huge because what it did was it gave the audience. You know The ability to become the authors deadpool destiny so the audience really was the fans of deadpool that that force the studios hand into making the movie. They they Roared loud and proud on the Internet in this sooner. Had to listen so they can make the movie. You know you can make it for for you. Know six dollars and a half a cup of spit and we did and it became this. You know. Now it's a billion dollar franchise that was You know hang in the Ryan on it for a decade. I feel like if the studio said no twice three times four times. Maybe this isn't going to happen to the next thing. Yeah I had moments like that moments where I quit gave up and walked away and then a regime change would happen you know the CD would get new new new people working there and and you know hit them as hard as I could. You know Nothing if not persistent so I I love it. You know a genuine love it and I felt like there was some iteration where I could get to make this this character and I just felt like I knew the character knew this guy in a way that I don't think anyone else could do it. You know I just sort of knew the INS and outs of it. And I knew what I was capable of I was given the chance to do it and and I knew I'd do Justice. Not just not just for us who are high standards for. Deadpool's created and produced but also the audience who who has very specific idea what character is supposed to be and there was a great back story. It was done so badly in one movie which you know I felt horribly about too because it was like to me. It was the only way I ever got to make the real deadpool movie at the time. I was like okay. If you do this character this way we'll give you a shot at making it the way it's supposed to be made so ad-lib your line in the middle of a writer strikes. You know so. I had to do something Deadpool shows up speaks fast annoys wolverine. I can do that But it wasn't. That wasn't the part that went sort of left to send it was the it was the we're dead pulling they wanted to. They closed so now shot and did all sorts of very weird Very Anti deadpool. So and then there's kind of a famous moment where you go to the student. You said your hands on and you'd WanNa talk to the studio that when you talk to the gym company and you write a letter and you say. Hey I'm gonna be different superhero named Greenland deadpool. Yeah it was sort of like you know standing at the altar and having thoughts or something it was I was. I was looking like it was going to this other this other superhero movie and and I just said if there's any way you guys can see it in your hearts to make this character. I think that there's a real chance. Tell me now or forever hold our peace and not and they said No. There's no way so so. They walked away to green lantern. Yeah pretty much. Yeah and I think at that point had already made the test footage for deadpool and it just sort of sat there. They didn't knowing if we didn't get feedback on But as soon as that sucker hit the Internet it was like on fire. Horrible Yeah horrible thank you. We'LL GET DAVID WHO pick up. Leakers would have you ever gone back and talk to any of those studio executives now. That were one point. Five billion dollars later. No not not not. I know them all but I also understand that position. I can understand why they felt the way felt that was. If I were in their position I probably do the same thing to be honest It's tough it's tough. Say Yes to. The movies are hard to make the hard to say yes to their hard. People are accountable these students accountable to shareholders. As so I completely understand where they're coming from It was a very unorthodox moved to do a superhero movie like that. But you know it worked out in such a way that you could do it at a lower budget. I mean they're all hopefully they'll always be lower budget. They should need all this money to make these things. Especially if it's deadpool's kind of key features his mouth you know it's That's not an expensive tool. So you said somewhere that a third deadpool. Movie is unlikely. Is that true or you think they're down the road. Maybe unlikely in the in the I think they'll be a number of movies that have deadpool But I don't I don't know that you. I don't know that I would WanNa make another movie. That was exclusively about deadpool story. Because for Deadpool the work you have to take everything away from him and create a situation which he's the underdog otherwise he'd be just so you know he's running his mouth so much so obnoxious if he had everything he was the sort of in a good place it would be troublesome so and we can't just keep taking everything away from so I love him as an ensemble player. I love him. As a character. Sort of evolves into a reluctant team member or or this duet S- I love duets on screen. You can have a great romantic duet. Non-romantic duets so we'll see feels like something's in the works here. I live things in the works so I'm excited about. I'm really excited about so that's that's that's to come. I continue to do full court press for Hugh Jackman to to come back To no avail as not yet anyway. Not as of yet. You'll get them. I think so too. I think I'll get them got. God knows he's just been failing constantly. I mean my my. My daughter is Is Not even two and I think she knows all the words to greatest show all my kids to your kids to every word they enter rooms sliding underneath our thinking about opening a tiny tiny fully stock hospital in my in my apartment and by the way. That album is still like number two year later. It's unbelievable it's unbelievable on there. And he's the nicest man insurance that's right so I think you touched on it. I think part of the reason deadpool works is not just the action but your sense of humor and so I'm curious where that comes from. Was it being one of four boys from your parents was being that kind of household though. Yeah the hundred percent. I mean that my I wasn't GonNa win any fights with my fists grow. I've three older brothers. My Dad's next COP You know I have one brother. That's a that's a Royal Canadian Mounted Police Radio You know tough guys. They're they're tough guys. I have one brother. That's six foot ten. Extend that six ten and one of the funniest guys you'll ever meet just a heart of gold gentle giant but But yeah he's he's big so You know as a kid I developed Sort of a I. I think I think my sense of humor was developed as a self defense mechanism. It was You know and my father was a was a Was a very funny man. He was a very smart man but he was very tough. He was very scary tough guy. Who's a huge presence? I mean you know? He walked into a room. The oxygen could leave like that so So I learned to kind of diffuse as I used to refer to Mrs Skin covered. Land Mine. You know he was the guy that like. You could just go off so I used to learn to kind of diffuse that with With jokes with things ways to make them laugh and that was sort of how kind of you know I mean it sounds more dramatically than it is but the essence. I was kind of saying for my supper in a way and it was It was one of the best things that ever happened to me as a kid I. It allowed me to cultivate aspects of my personality. That maybe wouldn't have been cultivated. Had I just had this sort of mayberry upbringing? So what are your brothers? Jack of the a year by inserting themselves into the controversy around a recent Peleton bike. Add as you may know Peleton put out this ad and to say it blew up with negative reaction would be a massive understatement. The peleton add shows a rich young couple where the husband gives his Clearly thin wife. An exercise bike and The world reacted very negatively and they suffered a massive decrease in their market cap up and on this episode. We're not necessarily going to get into. "It hasn't been confirmed yet but a new report claims that next year we're beyond say is going to be announcing a vegas residency. Wow and she is set to become the highest highest paid entertainer in Las Vegas. Good on her. I mean I guess it makes sense. He's got four kids now. Oh doing the Vegas thing is easier. When you're a parent you just set up shop? You're there and it's so close to Los Angeles to and Jay. Jay Z has a partnership with the NFL. which next season Oakland Raiders? They moved to Las Vegas. So there's probably some sort of Jay Z in Vegas the League. I bet something's coming for that as well. I wouldn't be surprised if maybe he doesn't have some sort of new forty forty type club going in there where there's money money to be made Jay Z.. is going to be there so look out for something like that. That's my guess. Actually it'd be really smart if they had like beyond say and Jay Z are such superstars. I think if they did their own venue and the naked they could alternate That they could open up their own. Venue performed there and then have all their AH Michelle. Williams could be doing something Kelly Rowland could be doing. I don't know I'm just thinking out loud. I would definitely go see beyond say I'd be there in a heartbeat. No question speaking speaking of Vegas. I don't really care about this person or his soon to be ex wife. But it's a very interesting story especially because I think a lot of parents and even the people who don't have kids could chime in and relate to it. This guy named Jim Edmonds. He used to be a baseball player. Most recently he's been a reality TV TV star. His wife is or was one of the real housewives from Orange County They are going through a very very bitter split. A judge just granted him fifty fifty custody with her. He's got an older kid. A daughter daughter who is eighteen plus the daughter was in vegas back in two thousand seventeen when that awful shooting happened in in Las Vegas and she went back this past weekend to Vegas. Jim Edmonds Daughter to go. See Jason Aldean in concert assert. He was performing during that shooting. And that the Guy Jim Edmonds decided to leave his three young children with his mother and a nanny or a couple of Nannies and go be in Vegas with his older daughter for emotional. Support do you you think during the time he was in Vegas. He should've let his kids be with the mom instead of his mom. The grandma no wow I mean I think the if it's his time to watch the kids and you know the grandmother's house a part of the family the grandmother would come over and Babysit. I don't think thank you. You have to change disgraceful. Why why would you know? I don't well I would say yes. Just if he wants to have a better relationship with his soon to be ex wife because then there may be times when you know he might want or need a favor from her like a when it might be and he might have to leave town for Work and she might say him to him Tari. You weren't accommodating to me when you went to Vegas. I'm not going to be accommodating to you. I don't see that as not being accommodating I mean if if you want your parents to the kids grandparents if they want to spend time with the kids to and if it's during your time I mean I don't see the big deal at all. I don't think this is even a story. Well I I don't think she was happy that she didn't have her kids in. He wasn't with them. Big Deal I mean. It's his time to have the kids. Whatever he does with his business not hers? It's not like they've put the kids danger. The kids are with his parents with their grandparents. I don't think this is a story I just don't I onto a story. That was so so silly. People got people get upset about the silliest things. These days people were upset over this ad for that Peleton bike. Can you say that silly ad I loved it and I just don't understand why that one caught on because if you look at any commercial it's the most beautiful people people in the world. They're selling luxury if you look at any of these luxury cars. It's not some fat Schlub in the car. It's it's really thin. Good looking people. If you look in magazines it's not a bunch ugly people in magazines. It's pretty people. Just don't I just don't get why everyone went crazy over this one particular ad like it's some sort of dystopia and future future that they're predicting I mean. All of those ads have been kind of a little sexist for years. I just don't get why this one was over the line in an over the top I agree. But what's really funny is Ryan Reynolds. He's got this GIN company. He hired heard the actress from the Peleton commercial to spoof. The PELETON had commercial for his GIN company that was very well played. Kudos to him I feel so bad I do ladies and gentlemen I am soldiering on and you that would make me feel better right now some genucel. It's like a miracle I swear to you..

Star of Peloton commercial appears in new ad — this time for gin

"The actress who played who is who is now known as the peloton wife has resurfaced Curtis I saw the woman who started the now infamous how to commercial for palatine exercise bike is breaking her silence silence after its controversy has landed another gig with a gin company got the new ad prompted their Curtis I do yeah is really smooth we can get you another one you're safe here new beginnings a new beginning one nine you look great by the way you look great by the way okay the setting there is three women sitting in a bar sipping martinis and the eight the actress mockery Ruiz who played the faults of wife is in the middle her two friends it's a sort of seems like and is to be for like for matter women like something really bad happens somebody like art where to take you out we're gonna find where to forget about what happened SO three women sitting in a bar they each have a martini glass in front of him the mockery is the palatine wife actress is Serena middle and she just has this blank look on her face like what just happened to me she chugs a martini her for that's when you heard a friend go it's gonna be fun night and then slides her her own martinis for aviation Jan which is backed by a actor Ryan Reynolds summer calling it an act of genius in marketing I think it's pretty funny Curtis I think it's funny and you know that's that's Ryan Reynolds humor at its finest right that's a good point that's kinda his style that's smart he's been like that when he was in Deadpool yeah he always made references to pop culture and our thing and that just that just stands out as Ryan Reynolds idea right and I love how quickly it like you got a pot you got it all yeah capitalize with the capital I capitalize I'm it so the peloton transition of the stationary bike commercial the the woman the actress said it again it's like the most controversial thing in our country right now there are many controversial things in our country right now but everybody's got opinion of the peloton bike at so the woman who plays the wife and there is in this Jan commercials you sitting side by side is there in the middle of three women sitting in a bar he could tell the kindest went through traumatic experience they're not exactly sure how to process everything that happened in two thousand sells a perfectly you can tell like right when you like right when you said when her blank stare when she's looking at the camera when you first watch the commercial you can tell that like okay it's kind of like a follow up to the peloton add without virtually saying it was from the peloton at and then at the end you look great by the way you look great by the way that's poking at the at the argument that it's sexist whether it is or whether it's not whatever you that's great so that's really well done and it's good to because like it does it it doesn't need a major set up right because once you see her face like death I know that woman told wife now she's doing th aviation's in commercials for Ryan Ryan Reynolds I would love to see some follow up to this like down the road maybe she should yeah for she keeps getting used for like aviation Jan but like they still sort of subtly make like jabs at like palatine or you know whatever I guess a series of these yeah like do you guys want to ride our bikes to the bar or something like that guess what I go for a ride I don't know she gets like a flashback of something and flash back goes right back to where do the brainstorming form Curtis when I can pay for this that's funny all by the way I didn't think was sex commercial Paul Tana's my official had taken act Curtis were you offended by occurred and now I I wasn't at all was it got punched and by my thought was that like there are a lot of there are a lot of fit women who are into fitness sort of stuff you know I mean and who knows maybe she is a wife that's maybe go that are a lot of runs and she all right maybe I don't know she's in good shape in other ways I like yeah the at three one two texting in the peloton wife is stupid because ever crying in the camera face see it's got an angle on this I know well that that's what the first of my son what the hell is this is is is is supposed to be airing right now because it's shot like not is not shot like a like a cheap local commercially now I get shot kind of in a good way it's just the way they execute everything in the acting in the way it plays out well and I give props the peloton because they were the ones I said listen everybody's kind of misinterpreting the message of what are right where we just show us what okay everybody calm down yeah because people do people spends on it to fit their own narrative or something that they're upset like that's perfect I could fit that into my narrative that everybody

And I don't even know if it was called aviation before he bought it. But that's the way to do it. If you're going to the way to do it is not to spend ten years developing your own bourbon. And then hoping it sells is just to go and find somebody who's got a small bourbon operation just by it up put your name on it slept Sipe your name start promoting it which is what he did. I watched his wife. What is her name? She's the blonde, and she was just in a movie called a simple favor. And it was funny because I was watching that movie and in that movie, she drinks martinis, and she gets out the bottle of gin to make the martinis with. And of course, aviation Jin is the one that she chose nice little product placement. No incidence. Hey, you know, what if you got it use it? So is there still I gotta tell you. I was unaware that.
