"The pitch In the dirt with another changeup. Giantsbullpen is busy. Rico Garcia. Right hander is Getting ready out there in the giant's pen. Here's Brennan. To the plate. Swinging the bounty ball into the defense, the shortstop and second base J. P. Crawford, and he throws out Dickerson in first so to down, and here is Wilmer Florence. Florence has got over four in the middle of that lineup. Night with Josh had 14 hits. I guess that's a good night for that to happen. Everybody else around. Use spring hits all over the yard. You guys in front of him have been on base a total of five times. Hitting behind it belt. Has been on base twice in Solano after that has been on twice. Now the pitch look out way inside and low. He skipped his right foot out of the way, one ball and no strikes. 93 miles hours sinker there from Brandon Brennan. 9 to 3 Giants here.

"Flores flied out there was a single by belt. And then Solano got a base hit and the bases were loaded with one out, and the Mariners went to their bullpen for Casey Sadler, and he turned things around in a big way for the Mariners. He struck out both Longoria and Crawford. And the Jacks didn't get any more runs there, and they would not for a while. The Mariners, though, would get three runs in the last of the fourth inning. Drew Smyly, who was just Mowing down Mariner hitters. He had eight strikeouts in three and two thirds innings, but Only his second game back from the injured list, and the Giants had him on a pitch got. He got up to 78 pitches after he struck out white but the second out in the fourth inning, But there was a run in and runners at 2nd and 3rd. But at 78 pictures, they decided that was enough. And there came a barrier was brought in barriers first game in eight days, and the rookie left hander who had walked only two all year, walked everybody he faced, including Three hitters total one that loaded the bases and two with the bases loaded to force in a couple of runs, and suddenly things were getting rather nervous. The Giants, who had an eight run inning, suddenly had a five run inning. And one of the Mariners best hitters. Dylan Mohr was coming up. So Trevor Cahill, the veteran right hander was brought in from the bullpen, and he struck out more end of threat and the the Mariners never did score again against Giantsbullpen Cahill, Selman Kun, Rod Rico Garcia and finally Harling Garcia all getting the job done. The Giants would get one more run in the seventh inning. Brandon Brennan just off the injured list for the Mariners two down. Nobody on Crawford got his third extra base hit of the night. Brennan delivers Crawford drives one toward right center field. Lewis sprinting over still going and it is up and gone into the marinersbullpen.

"And Crawford is in the second with a double. That gives him six R B eyes. The Giants have three different hitters with six R B eyes in this game indeed, and a 20 to 2 lead at that point. And three hitters with six R B eyes in the same game that is a major league record. It had never been done before. Until tonight, the first of September 2020 In the year of the pandemic, Jax would get one more run when Du Bon hit a double bringing Crawford home and that point it was a 23 to 2 lead for the Giants, and the final would be 23 to 5. Giants. They equal the all time San Francisco Giants records with 23 runs on 27 hits the old New York Giants before they came to And brought major league baseball to the West Coast with the Dodgers had had a game with 26 runs our way back when And back in the 19th century, The New York Giants had a game with 29 runs in 18 87 those of the all time Giants franchise records. So the Giants win it 23 to 5. Gausman gets the win, and now they've got another ballgame and think truly, to turn this into something special. I need a win tomorrow as they would head home, but they'll be up against the Rockies best. The left hander Kyle Friedland, who helped the Rockies beat the Giants back in August, the last time the jacks were in town. That was on the sixth of August and Friedland got the best of Tyler Anderson. The Iraqis got to the Giantsbullpen. Late in the game, The Giants put three runs on the board against Friedland and actually had the lead against him. Until the Rockies made a comeback with a big seventh inning rally in that game, so we'll see how it turns out tomorrow. Logan Webb, who gotta win in Denver, the only Giants win the last time they were there back in August, the fifth We'll go for the Giants 12 11th pitch by the way that we want to go now for the hit of the game. And I think we will have to go with Dickerson's third home run first three homer game of his career. And with that hit, Alex Dickerson will pick up a $100 gift card from Pig in a pickle..

"Swing line drive base hit left field. Crawford is into score. Rickard goes to third. He'll stop there. The ball is fielding in shallow left. Bye, Peralta. And Alex Dickerson has put the Giants ahead for the second time today, this time with an R B I single Yes. Oh, Dickerson had given them the lead bank and then Evan Longoria brought in a couple more Bradley Bend over at the waist, reading the sign from Kelly. Holding the ball back behind his right hip. Now he's got the sign. He's ready. He throws My fastball. There's a bouncer to the right side through the wide open, right side base hit right center field record is into score and you scream ski racing around third. Hey, scores. A two run single for Longoria, and that swing it really looked like he was trying to do what he did. Well, indeed, it did. And for Evan Longoria to R B eyes, and now it's not just the one run lead. It was a three run lead 4 to 1. And that was going to be the final of the Giantsbullpen exemplary all the way through the weekend and ah in the eighth inning. It was Tyler Rogers and relief of watching and he retired three in a row with one strike out. And in Sam Kun Rod. A chance for his first big league save facing the 345 spots in the Arizona batting order. He got starting Marta and a ground ball about he got David Peralta on a ground ball the belt And then he'd won out Mohr and it was Christian Walker, who faced him. He is the set. Here's the pitch. Sounds to the right side out in shadow. Right field. Solano's got it. He slings it over the first in time, and the ball game is over three ground ball outs. Induced from the 345 spots in the Arizona batting order some of their best hitters. And Sam Coon Rock gets his first major league save. Indeed, congratulations to Sam and for the Giants there first. Siri's win. On the road in 2020 as they beat the D'backs for the one and the head of the game. Well, we've got to give that to Alex Dickerson and take your pick. There was the home run in the first for the first run That gave them the lead all the way up until the seventh inning and then his second hit that gave him the lead that they never gave up. In the eighth inning and Alex Dickerson picks up a $100 gift card from Pig in a pickle. The next time you're craving a great barbecue, lunch or dinner,.

"In the on deck circle. The pitch is blasted to Centre Field going back on it is Marty still going back? It is off the top of the wall. He missed the home run by a half a foot. Buffered over to third. He'll stop there. Joey barred in the second. I can't believe it didn't go out. Man. He just clobbered it to the left of straightaway center, and he hit it to that new 7 ft wall in front of the Giantsbullpen and he missed the home run by inches. And it was a pitch to that same spot on the outside, and the replay subsequently showed that may have missed being a home run by Even less than half a foot. Maybe about two inches. Three inches tops so very, very close, and the Giants had runners at 2nd and 3rd. And then Mauricio Du Bon, Another pinch hitter, came up. Again. Gabe Kaplan knew he could use those right handed pinch hitters because this new rule instituted this year, Grace was going to have to face three hitters coming in for the bullpen, the only left handed The D bags had and he only faced one lefty as it turned out Crawford, whom he walked to start the inning. So this was an inning that was characterized by walks. With grace having so much trouble Gara was brought in. He had thrown 28 pitches in last night's game and laborious seventh inning in which he gave up a couple of runs. And he was not the same tonight He'd been the D'backs about as good as there was in the Arizona bullpen before last night, But tonight he came in, and he just started walking people with the bases loaded. Nobody out. First off, he walked Yeahs. Three and one. Here's the pitch. Stransky takes lowball for Gara has walked in around the Giants are back a head to toe one. So Brandon Crawford's scored that brought up Alex Dickerson, and he, too, stood and watched Sarah to the plate. Occurs. It takes lowball four. He's walked in another run. Yeah. So the Giants had at that point walked four times in the ending of the first five hitters faced. The only hit in that stretch was that booming pinch it double by Joey Barton. Then Donovan Solano also gotta run home, although he actually strong the bad, too. Here's.

"Tom Tolbert, Leah Kruger off today and tomorrow we are going to be joined by Tom Spencer. Ah, a little bit Gulf PGA getting going today. And we had a chance right now to chance. Talk to Kyle Shanahan. For about 1/2 an hour, So we're going to play that for your five o'clock. They have a chance to hear that, and we talked about Garoppolo and Super Bowl Kittle on DeForest Buckner and all kinds of good stuff so It will be the first show that we do with Kyle throughout the course of the year. If you remember last year it was Kyle than John Lynch than cow than John Limp. So today is the first show Hope you enjoyed that. Going, all right? T What's up, man? How you doing? Just watching the giantsbullpen bring up can of gas. And just went full fire. Full implosion today. Full implosion. Look. Yeah, I I guess you could say they pitched their best guys yesterday. I don't know how many of more available Today. But you know this is just a team. That's a lot of players. When what when we asked, you know, Sorry's who's going to be on this team in three years. He gave us to bond who had a real nice game, and then it goes all that was all he gave us. Except for the guys that aren't here yet, So I mean, look. See, I don't know where you go. I mean, Garcia's pitched okay. I mean, I kind of like him. Those 95 I don't need didn't offer a lot else. Mostly, you know, hard stuff. But I guess the big complaint everyone's gonna have is You know Tyler Anderson screws and it's 66 pitches. And they take him out. And that's kind of word started home run. The story brought to give them the homer in the story. And not to say that Anderson couldn't have you know, third time through the order all that I guess he was on a pitch count 65 70 pitches. Why? I don't know. They know him better than I do. They know the situation, but man. At that ever screamed like a leave me in. I'm choosing right now. I'm just flat out Roland, and it was different than freely freely at 97 pitches and they took took him out. So this was a full 31 pitch is less In Freeland, who was also cruising that that's the one where I think people going to go. All right. What do we do? It is different now, man. It's different. It's not just with the Giants. Baseball is different. The combination of a pitch count and The metric of third time to the order of starting pitcher is less effective. It's just it's just different. And I was like, You know what we've talked about the last couple of days. It's Similar yet different, you know, shifting to take your team out of a chance to To get a double play. It's just different now. Things that were done in baseball and I'm telling you something, you know, but I just feel like You know for me as a baseball failed trying to understand it yet they saying at the same time I just go is different things that were done the same way for decades. They don't do it anymore. Like I said, you could buy combined pitch count with that third time through the order thing. You get what you get. And that whole idea of looking at a guy at a picture and using your brain and your gut equally, I would think and being able to assess whether you should keep that guy in Them days is data's Napoleon Tom. I hope so. It seems that way. It sure seems that way. And you know you bring in the lefty for a lefty, Which is another thing you like. Well, you're gonna bring another lefty. Will you just leave him in two faced doll who's got out twice. I mean, come on, Dubon made a hell of a catch. On one of those, but get him out twice and let him and if you know, let him pitch to leave, Maybe pitch to him. And then if you want to go, Okay. Now we can go with a righty. Never want to bring in Anderson. We could bring him in for story. And black is in that face Blackman. But then you get a Renato after him, and we get the thinking bringing in a lefty because you're gonna have to face dollar Blackman for sure. And you have to face atleast three batters. But you could. You wouldn't have had to face three batters. If he was left in the game. We could've faced one that could take him out. And then you have to face three batters. But then you only have that one Lefty and Blackman. Wedge in there, so I don't know. I guess if the pitch count is you know 66 he could go 70 I mean, you would think a little bit over that to get y'all out front and bring a right hander. But I don't know. It's just It's frustrating because it was such a mean guy. That game was so well pitched by Anderson and Free land and you go down one. Nothing in the homer and then des Bon hits a homerun Europe 31 You like okay? Up 31 and then it just What did you think that was gonna hold? Because I knew it was going to be a pitcher's duel, which is what we got for the first half of the game, and it wasn't it wasn't a pitcher's duel because the two guys who were dealing were taken out. For similar yet different reasons, all at the same time, they were Dubon hits. That Homer's three won t like that's great, but its course field is this thing really going to stand up and I I present the opposite of You know the pitching thing? Was it four double plays that you leave six guys on base. You know what? The Giants had a couple of guys on base early in the game in the first couple of innings and did nothing with that. You know, you got to cash that in, you know you You got to get all the runs. You can course field so I mean, it's just It's just different man. It's just different now. But they you know they didn't score enough either. Did score enough in pitch enough. Which means I guess you don't win no matter where no matter if you're above sea level are at sea level. Pitching up for a while and then stop pitching enough, and now it's pretty much the end of it. I didn't know you just don't expect it to happen that fast, especially In the seventh where it was double double homer. Thanks for coming, everybody, And there's your You got to be in here for three batters because I'm not sure faces Murphy if he's not in that didn't have to be in there for three batters..

"Person or online. We mentioned it was an outstanding day for Mauricio Du Bon, playing in centerfield Matt Kemp tested him in the second inning. Two and two pitch. Swing, and there's a high drive into right center going back. Do Bon at the warning track at the wall. He leaves and he makes the catch. Comes down hits the padding at the lower part of the wall. And holds on to it. And he was getting ah, big ovation from all of his admirers in the Giantsbullpen. He was that's right where he was next to the bull pen. So a nice play. This game was AH pitching matchup between Two former teammates and old friends Tyler Anderson going for the Giants against the Rockies, his old team against Kyle Free Land, and it was nothing nothing game until the sixth inning. Anderson with the 1st 5 He allowed no runs only two hits while he was in there very successful return only his second start. And the pitch count is just not built up enough for him to We go much longer than that, although he might differ on that, But the jazz wantto err on the side of caution in that regard, So Juan De Peralta came on in the nothing Nothing game last of the sixth inning. The second man he faced was the slugger. Trevor Story. Peralta in relief of Tyler Anderson 11 pitch. There's a swing and a long drive into deep left center field. Way back there still going, it is gone. That is no cheapie 420.

"Shawn Estes with us on the M a guest line on the Murphy Mac Show with Mark Willard today and Sean, You know, we talked about the mental aspect of the game, which you mentioned. One of the negative aspects of giants baseball so far this year is the errors. It's like a nightly thing Now, man. It's really frustrating. I know the players are frustrated caplets. Frustrated fans are frustrated, but I was wondering if you could just talk a little bit about just the contagious nature of errors because I mean, you saw it again last night, right there In the first inning, it was Solano and then that was followed by a wild pitch, and it just seems like one leads to another. So when you're part of a team and you're in the dugout in the clubhouse, and the team is struggling with fundamental play How contagious is that? Or how real is that idea that Yeah, it really is a contagious element. Well, I think what happens is that it definitely It's more of a mentality now it now it becomes something that people are talking about your losing games because of it, And that's not necessarily just the physical Ares that you're seeing in the box scores. It's a lot of the mental errors. You're not saying that they're contributor losses. When it becomes a focal point, then players to a man they start take. You put more pressure on themselves not to make errors, and that's a lot of mentality that you wanna have, either. It's almost like the picture. They You try not to walk a guy, Um and you end up inevitably walking that guy right and golf. It's like, OK, I don't want to hit the ball right? And so you hit it. It's your last thought that happens before you swing the golf club and you end up getting the ball, right. I mean, we've always we've all been there. So it's almost like you have to. It's the chicken in a chicken or the egg thing. You know, it's like You have to start playing clean baseball to believe you're a good defensive team again. Mohr, do you just say these air fluky and we're better than that, and we'll stop making these mistakes, right? I think a lot of it has to do with that all off. Also, a lot of it has to do with guys bounce around. You know, the infield in the outfield, you know, and I having a lot of reps in these positions. Consistent reps right on and also contribute a lot of it. Just a short in spring training. I mean, I mean, when, when you have a normal 45 days spring training the 1st 2 weeks of spring training or straight fundamentals, and you're working all these things, and you're wondering like why we're doing this so much soul regret repetitive the pitcher's fielding practice. Cutoffs and relays the pop ups, they cut out the run down. I mean, it's just like Uncle right, Let's get it. Let's get it is an action here. But really, that's what set the foundation for how you're going to play, you know, in the season and granted, I mean, You have good defensive players. You're going to be good defensively right around around the infield around the outfield, But it's the guys. Do you have a mediocre defense? It's those wraps. You get in spring training really help you get better. Help me tighten things up. When the season comes around, Sean, this might be a little off subject. But have you watched Madison Bumgarner pitch yet? This year? You know what I have not and I and I I said before the season started that that was one of my things. I want to watch him. I just love watching him pitch is a giant obviously cover in the last 10 years. Just ability that I just wanted him to go to Arizona. I really wanted the giant to get it back. But I wanted to go to Arizona and just and do really well for a lot of different reasons, But it's I'm shaking my head right now. Just looking at the numbers and hearing about Reading about what he's been doing, and just the velocity drop. And, you know, I hate to say it, but like I feel like that, maybe you'd management for the Giants Farhaan and and and all the people with the analytics. Maybe they're right a little bit. Maybe. You know, maybe they did see a digression and ended in his in his stuff. And in a hard contact that we heard so much about granted. Put that all aside. I still like him on my team. I mean, I just I feel like that he'll he'll find a way to figure it out there. He's got Matt here just with them. The pitching coach for the Diamondbacks in does him as well as anybody being with Giantsbullpen coach for so long for the last few years, I think you'll help him right. The ship and Madison's. Obviously he's He's the ultimate competitors, so he hates it, obviously, and and he'll find a way that The iron things out. I'm sure you know, Sean just going back, Teo, and I'm not trying to dwell on this. My intention is not T pick on the Giants here, but I want to talk about Heinemann a little because since we've last spoken, he picked up another catcher interference couple of nights ago. And from a pitcher's perspective, like when you've got a catcher, That's where you've seen this happen three times already in such an early season, And as you mentioned man, the weird spring training and everything is bizarro this year. But Kappler said, Listen, we're trying to move him around because so he could pick up a curveball. Better, etcetera. But for you, a pitcher does that When your catcher has a pension for picking up these interference calls, Or at least you know, we've seen three of them. What does that do to your.

"Postgame wrap time on this beautiful Sunday where the Giants are going for a sweep and couldn't quite get the sweet thie arrangers end up salvaging a game. They beat the Giants 9 to 5. As too bad Giants had another inspired come back when they were down 5 to 1. They have the A rally in the fifth to get a run than in a sexy score three times. They tie it up, go into the seventh inning and I was feeling pretty darn good about the Giants chances that point in the seventh inning just sort of got off the rails with the walks. The walks ended up deciding this game. Yeah, I was feeling it and I bet they had They had to be feeling it just the way that they tied the game with Chadwick Trump's first ever Big league home run. That was such a cool moment. Now you get a tie ball game and And Andrew Triggs, who did really well coming into AA 22 runners on situation and he got me out too. To what was it in the fifth is its fifth inning. No sixth inning, So he ended the six. It was a big deal, right? So he goes back out there. Ball 12 3 walks and road, not close. It was really only one ball. They probably could have had a chance to be called a strike, so he was just wild. And you can't defend that, And that's what makes us so frustrating. They set the table sac fly to on and Joy Gala hits a three run bomb game over But One thing that they have And you absolutely have to have it when you go into Denver, and that's confidence in your offense, and even though they lost today, what they've done here in these last five games has been fantastic with the bats. So look, I know they're disappointed. It's a three and three home stand there. Five and five of the year. A lot came out of this homestand. Lot of good. A lot of good. I agree with you, and I think they are set up to compete in Denver against Iraqis Team That's surprising. We'll talk about that a little later, but the Rockies air off Teo Good start and the bullpen today. I mean, there could have been some guys that the Giants were trying to stay away from. The bullpen has worked hard and Jeffs in Marjah. Became the first James pitcher to get through five innings this year, which is something so Margie didn't have his best stuff this afternoon, but Asleep that helped get the Giantsbullpen. Maybe a little better set up to head into Denver to placebo broke the streak. I mean, he broke the street. They needed somebody to do it. Somebody had to go into the fifth inning and completed so he did that He got the ball and took it into six. So Yeah. With you thinking about those walks or just grinding on me. You know, we sat there and watched 11 walks that the Rangers gave the Giants last night that determined the game and here the very next day. The Giants basically gift the Rangers a win because of the base on balls tough to take..

"Tyler Rogers out of the giantsbullpen of the Giants of clawed their way back into it and tie the game up on the Donovan Solano three run homer. So now a new game as we start the ninth inning big hitters coming up, though this would be a challenge for the submariner. Tyler Rogers, right handed face Grisham and then Machado and then fanned the 234 hitters for the Padres 6 to 6. That's the score. Here's the pitch to Grisham, and it's in there for a called strike. The sinker. The thrusters, and there's that slider in their strike to called So Grisham has never seen Rogers before. And so far he's looked at a little bit. Bewildered. He hit a big three run homer back in the fourth inning has had two hits and a walk. Now grab all the third to his left Solano. He's got it to throw to first. In time, one away. Not a good example there. I mean, it's so easy to point out when shift doesn't work. And it's happened to Tyler Rogers several times already this year, but that time Solano playing off the line. And if he hadn't been, I don't know that he could get to that ball. So Defensive, positioning their aggression moves pretty well. No one out here is Machado, who hit a two run homer back in the third inning. He's also had a single Two hits for bats for Manny Machado. 6 to 6/9 inning. The pitch. And the fastball is off the outside. Submarine style thrower. Tyler Rogers. Did we I think you mentioned that his brother twin brother Taylor Rogers pitch tonight for Minnesota. He's the Twins closer. There's a ball way outside ball, too. God, I was talking about that earlier and he got to save. Wouldn't it? Be cool if Taylor got a save, and Tyler gotta win. Here's the two and a pitch. And there is a slider for a called strike two and one She's like the wind. Enclosures white like they don't want the win. They want to save but Tyler gladly take a win. Here's the two on one pitch has a ball lifted foul off the left field line, and he Tried to launch that won the Slider, but It was a little bitty. Really kind of wailed at it, but he was way way out in front of it. And did not hit it all that hard. Anyone off the end of the bat. Two balls. Two strikes to Manny Machado Tommy Pham on deck. The pitch. And he tries to.

"Pitches, Solano swings and lines one into left field. That is a base it here comes rough around third tailor up with the ball. He's not even going to make a throw. Darren Rough will score and his legs help get the Giants on extra run. It's 3 to 1 Giants here in the top of the seventh about that amazing Just 13 grip on the ball from Will Smith rough? He might not steal another base The rest of the year Now Solano cashes in on it with a two out, doc. That is a huge run. Indeed, that is the swing by the way that we've sought from Solano so many times last year, and that that is what he did over and over again. So Darren Rough with the walk and the steel To get himself into scoring position, and he had a little help that bobble from Will Smith, But you gotta give him credit for doing it. And that helps the Giants add to their lead. 3 to 1 hears Heinemann. Batting left handed. He takes a changeup that floats outside Ball one. Even you know Heineman's takes in these first few games. He looks like a guy you see in the ball well and is comfortable at the plate. I may have found something in Tyler Heinemann. Here's the pitch. It is low another changeup to know. Wei have talked about his catching, really hit that he's standing behind the plane. Great targeted. Throw two comes quite Blocker. I mean, he's got a lot of assets. To help the club. "He had previously tested positive for covert 19 and he, you know, did the quarantine came back and was healthy and for the most part, didn't have symptoms or anything anymore. But he was experiencing like, ramifications, breathing problems. David give me the thumbs up and order Rodriguez. He was having like breathing problems, throwing bullpens and getting his running work and so they had to shut him down for the for the foreseeable future. You don't mean that. What point? Is it gonna cross a line where somebody's healthy. Somebody's careers in jeopardy. Eyes, a healthy player and then career is in jeopardy because of covert 19 and Davey Martinez on the on the, uh, the broadcast last night he didn't interviewed Gabe Kapler did one as well is so Dave Roberts and They all did all the managers last night. Aaron Boone, too. But the fact is that the says Yeah, There's unavoidable risk, and I'm going kind off. Look, I know that this was a risk coming in, but it's not unavoidable Risk. It's it's they said, Screw it. We're playing the ballgame. Anybody and maybe guys were in contact with him, and maybe they're contacting each other. Not everybody on the field is wearing. That's they're not mandating it. Pablo had one to start the game and then kind of pulled it down. There was a guy I think Jack Peterson spit yesterday. It's just I know that that stuff is habitual and I'm not coming down and I'm like, how dare you do that? But this is the fear about coming back. Not I mean, I guarantee you we're going to get a Bumgarner snot rocket at some point Anyway. On the other side, we'll get back into Giants Baseball. Just want to hit that Juan Soto stuff and had to make sure we get a little note in on Dr Bauji, if you could find that there is an incredible if you see the throw, you know how bad it is to the left. He just totally pushes it to the left side. And by the way, I don't think he got totally upon the rubber and he was right on. Amount right? Didn't go all the way up. They'll I might be a hell of a hike for a dude. If Isa of his age anyway, he's out there right at the front of the mound. He slings it kind of across his body. But if you get the overhead view, they've got the sky cam of it. It is hysterical. It's like It's like, you know, 35% way up the line, right? We're talking 30 feet up the first baseline. Incredible stuff. Anyway, We gotta talk about the giantsbullpen yesterday. What did you think Drew Smyly comes out of the bullpen. Tyler Rogers supposed to be the Swiss Army knife gives up to earn runs in 17 innings all of 2019. Three earned runs in one inning last night. He takes the loss on then countermand as the other left hander who was out there yesterday. He gives up a bomb his velocities up. They say his spin rate is up. One point they had. Kayla Berg are up potentially to come in for Johnny Cueto. Were you OK? With Cueto getting pulled? I saw a text earlier coming that said, Why didn't Gabe Kapler of somebody up already in the fourth quarter was getting into trouble. Quit. It was OK. I'm OK with queen or get into a little trouble. Dude was a son candidate a couple of years ago. Exactly. We also have that that same texture just referred to Gabe Kapler as Dave. Prior. Prior to finding their prior. Here we go. Thank you. On the other side. We'll talk some Rico Garcia. Well together you actually one of the more impressive dudes yesterday, Rico. Not all that bad if I need a a decent outing, and Dave Fleming was talking on the post game wrap, stayed up and listen to the rap last night. It was just David and John because it was an ESPN game, so none of the guys were. None of the guys were out there talking to concoct. They were not at the Oracle Park in the booth for no reason, because they didn't have a game to do so on the post game wrap. We just had two guys and it was David John, and they were talking about Johnny Cueto. They talked some Brandon Crawford. They talked Heinemann and they talked to Rico Garcia. We'll talk all of those things when we return to the leadoff spot. Can't be our 1045 and 6 80 The sports leader polices the leadoff spot.

"And the side arming right hander will sling his first pitch to Max Muncy and its dribbled on the ground into the shift. Right side. Solano now playing short is right there to field it, and he throws to first Max Muncy on one pitch retired by Rogers one away, And if you needed any evidence of Giants faith in Tyler Rogers and not just To get right handers. I think he's always been sort of pegged as a right handed specialist with that submarine style from the right side, but The ability to get left handers, too. He just got Max Muncy and Cody Bell injures out on deck. Here's the pitch to bets rides inside. A fastball misses ball. One Rogers fastball. Velocity is typically 83 84 miles an hour. He throws a fastball in a slider. And yet with that, unbelievably Funky arm angle, really submariner. Effective slings one in and it's a called strike of the knees. Bill Miller, you had figure is the perfect umpire for Tyler Rogers got the low strike there. Mookie Betts, who is over three in this game, has reached base on an error, struck out and grounded out. The pitch to bets is a slider low ball too. The M V P for last year, Cody Bellenger is out on deck. Giantsbullpen is quiet at the moment. We could see Tyler Rogers close some games. We could see him start some games to one that swings and rips one of the left field base hit pickers and hustles over to cut it off. He bets with his speed a turn around first, but he'll stop there. Okey bets as his first base hit Dodgers uniform and he wants to save the ball. He's asked Giants too, given the baseball so you can save it. This guy has accomplished a lot in his big league career, but he wants the souvenir of his first Dodgers hit. That pitch from Rogers just Too high. He was trying to hit the knees again, and he left it up. So one out base runner in a tie game with the M V P from last year coming to the plate, Cody Bellenger A big pressure spot right away for Tyler Rogers is 2020 debut first Opening day roster for Rogers. His first pitch on the way to Bellenger is just low Ball one. That's pitch we've seen called a strike in this game. Want to know the Bellagio. He's the guy. The strike zone has shrunk when he's been at the plate..

"Nobody up in the giantsbullpen. It is very quiet. The Braves bullpen also quiet. Venter's will be staying in the game. It's only 87 pitches for Let's go here We are one out of seven. He's his stuff is live can off. Second pitch is swung on and missed. Ah, good fastball biting away strike two hour fastball, he opened up with 91. His third pitch game was 90 hour fastball, just another example of him being a much different picture this last month. He's maintaining the strength of his fastball throughout a ballgame early in the year because of the mechanics start out with 92 with seven. Anymore. Wanted to Alex Gonzalez shakes off cozy once now has what he wants. One too, is popped up first base side foul ground coming over to the rail. Aubrey Huff leads in, but he can't reach it. It's into the bravesdugout just A few feet out of the reach of Aubrey Huff, Still a ball and two strikes. Now the Braves will get the bullpen going. A right hander is up throwing Ask of a 20 pitch first inning. It was 47 he has a gun over 13. After that one to Gonzales. He throws Gonzales taps one. Let's take the mound has it He's running toward first, he will flip the ball on the bag for the out to down. Brian McCann on the play breaks for third. Braves have the tying run at third base here in the seventh inning, but two outs Matt Dyas comes to the plate has a right handed hitter who is old for two with a strikeout, A flyout Craig Kimbrel. The young right hander. For the Braves started get stretched their bullpen. You have been wanting to see this guy on. Yeah, He's like, 5 10 and built like Chad Billingsley. And he throws uphill rockets. Kimbrel inventors. The right hander of the left hander, Rookies in the Bravesbullpen have been a huge part of their team. Big big spot here. One Giants top of the seventh Brother, 3rd 2 down Diane's swings, and it's a high fly ball. Medium deep centerfield. Andres Torres lines it up, and the Braves lead the tying run at third. Hence ago pitches around the one out double by Brian McCann. And the brave scoreless through seven innings. T five is rocket here tonight. "Holland Guy with great stuff behind nineties fastball with a hard slider and split. All could strike you out Royal's closer and he's had two great years in a row is the closer for Kansas City. How to stretch the high sacked the pitch in the dirt that bounds well in front of home plate at 87 miles an hour, one ball one strike. I had two hits tonight. He's single too right and that set up the Giants first run of the game in the second inning. He also singled again in the sixties to for three. Left handed hitter now the pinch. Swinging the bounty bought a second right to infant has got it swings it over the first for the out one away. Madison Bumgarner. He has thrown 52 pitches in four innings. Giantsbullpen is absolutely quiet. Michael Morris will come up now, one out here in the ninth Bumgarner. He and his wife had been living with Tim Hudson, his family in San Francisco throughout this month of October. Man. He and Tim Hudson has been very good friends all through this season as teammates here is Morse, who's knocked in two of the Giants runs tonight. Swings and misses at a slider down in away on its own one. But Tim Matson was saying that he asked. Bum garnish is a man you are how many others have you pitched already? And he said to 65. How many do you want to pitch? Don't pitch 3 50? He could probably do it. One strike pitch between Miss another slider had its own to Hudson said that he looked at Bumgarner when he said, 3 50 said. Hey, you don't get any award. Just get your 25. I know I'm 39 you're 25. But Hudson also said probably of anybody in the current day could do that It would be Bumgarner built for it. 65 to 35 Broad shouldered. That was the old days of pitchers working every fourth day, and it wasn't that unusual for the great pitches over 300 innings in a season. Oh to pitch and it's a slider off the outside want to Michael Morris, So the Hudson's moved in with Bumgarner's, and they also brought three Children. So that house got full in a hurry. I thought it was the other way around. But it could be that way. I thought they said they moved in with Jimmy Here's scratch. And the 12 pitch struck him out swinging a good, hard slider. I've never talked to any of his teammates who disliked him means one of the most likable players you'll ever meet, and He's kind of quiet, but he's also got a great sense of humor is really a one of a kind athlete. Very special has been more in this postseason. This postseason, Bumgarner Creating a legend. Here's Brandon Crawford to down on a fastball away at 95 miles an hour from Holland in Kansas City last of the ninth inning, they have husband their cleanup hitter. Lefty Butler, the D H R writing and Gordon I left. Those are the three do ups. They still have Willingham, a right handed power hitter available on the bench 10 pitch fastball down in the way. Crawford knocked in the giant second run with sacrifice fly back in the second inning. Since then, he struck out twice. Crawford in the World Series is knocked in four runs. 32 Giants here in the ninth on Holland on top. Here comes one of the stuff he has just such straight straight down breaking stuff, a slider. The split. Just 12 o'clock, snapping excellent commander. Tough customer, too. And one pitch swinging a foul straight back broadcast role. On the count is two and 2322 Giants have been no scoring since the fourth inning. It was Michael Morris, who knocked in the go ahead run for the Giants. A single against Herrera, who had just entered the game to to pitch in the dirt that one bounced in front of the plate. It's a full count to Brandon Crawford. Juan Perez on deck would be next. Crawford, with his old for two in this game, is hitting 2 92 in the World Series 32 pitch from Holland. She stuck it out. So the big three out of the Royals bullpen have been outstanding, and yet the Giants are three outs away. From winning the World Series and Madison. Bumgarner will head out for the last of the ninth inning, four shutout innings for him. He's retired 12 in a row. Hosmer Butler and Gordon do up. We go to the last half of the ninth inning of Game seven of the World Series. The Giants are leading 3 to 2 World Series on KNBR 6 18 This is Madison Bumgarner, and you're listening to.

"He managed to get up the line pretty quickly. So two outs just like that. Bases are empty. Former stock is the big shift on for the Giants. Here's the pitch. Moustakas bounces one foul. First base side. Strike one now wait around, and you know, to a degree. I kind of have to approach your battle against that felt that way. Because he's got three ways you could strike you out. One thing that will do consistently is give you a strike. On the first pitch. It's in a pretty big part. That's right zone, not thinking corner when he's making that first pitch. Stockers takes a curve that Mrs Outside 112 curveball there, let's become still throwing in the bullpen felt one out away from getting through this fourth inning. He came on the final out of the second, pitched a scoreless third. Here's the 11 stock takes the curve ball strike to call that a good one. That was a really good one. Pitch. Number 30 from F ELT Giantsthree Royals to Bottom four. Game seven. I wanted to the count, and here's the pitch and a fastball is low, too. One thing you guys maybe have already talked about this a little bit, but American League You don't have to worry about the pitcher's spot coming up on managing your bullpen. In that way. You just go with the guy until you don't think he can get people out anymore. You make a change period like this. That's important to do. Is bounced against the ship too short. That's where Sandoval stands. He feels throws to first right on the money to retire Moustakas Jeremy Affeldt, with help from the double play grounder and more good giant's defense pitches, a scoreless more than shut down in times of Giants take a lead to the fifth with the top of the order coming up blank o panic. And then Buster Posey, it is the Giants three and the Royals to your listening to Game seven of the 2014 World Series. We are 6 80 Under the fifth in Kansas City, the Giants three the Royals to Game seven of the world. Siri's Giants go ahead with the hit of the game. Michael Morse against Herrera is not going to go ahead run brought to you by the Home Depot. Mohr Saving Mohr doing that's the power. Of the Home Depot. The top of the order will be coming up here And meanwhile there is activity in the Giantsbullpen and I would say it's fairly big news will let John Miller tell you about that, as Gregor Blanco stands in. It is Madison Bumgarner in the Giantsbullpen. We go to the fifth inning. Here's Gregor Blanco top of the order, He bluffs the bunt and takes very high for the hard throwing Herrera Ball. One Jeremy Affeldt. Fabulous as ever in the World Series and in the postseason, 203rd shutout innings. Here's the pitch Black Oh, swings and hits a fly ball to left. Going back is Gordon out, moving to his right and makes the catch on the run. As he approached the warning track. Blanco is over three. Jeremy Affeldt inherited two runners. With the dangerous okay at the plate when he entered the game in the second inning, and he got all keep on a force play and then in both the third inning and again in the fourth inning He allowed a base runner and the very next hitter grounded into a double play. So two double plays turned back of F L, which is not unusual. Here's Joe Panik. He drops a butt or tries to, but fouls it off the catcher. Salvi Perez strike One Panic is over two in the game. The other Royals were given it like Blue stock is the third baseman for the Royals, playing back panic sides are not taken opportunity. Good idea. Nick is granted the first and struck out in this world citizen has not been brought up a whole lot. Giants have grounded into two double plays. They have turned nine double plays, pitches, swinging Catizone to a fastball 97 but that is rather remarkable in the home postseason has been A lot like that. The Giants have grounded into only seven double plays in there, 17 postseason games, and they have turned 16 double play. Jacks have only made four errors in their 17 postseason games, played a very clean game most often in October to pitch fastball lifted high and found off the fuel line. Back into the crowd. Still going to think that's a great credit. All those double plays turned the lack of errors to guys like Joe Panik, Brandon Crawford, the entire Johnson field. They have been superb here in October 2 to panic. Pereira comes in swinging. It's chopped off the plate back. The first base side, and it kicks foul about 20 feet away from home plate still owing to to panic as he battles it out here with Kelvin Herrera. It's a brick that falls fair. He's out. Buster Posey out on deck. None of the top three hitters in the Giants batting order leadoff man, Blanco, then panicked and Posey has been on base in this game block over three. Panic over to Posey open to chance, middle of the order has been creating a lot of chances to score. And the last third of the order has knocked in all three of the runs to pitch. You stuck it out with danger. What weapon is get over two strikeouts does not strike out very often. Two down. Nobody on panic is over three. And here comes Buster Posey, who has broken his back, rounding out the third and he struck out his last time. He's over, too. Buster, with four hits in 24 advance so far in the World Series 3 to 2 giants in the fifth inning, Bumgarner getting heated up in the bullpen buster swings and misses at a high change up on its own one. Three runs five hits for the Giants to runs four hits for Kansas City first half of the fifth inning here in Game seven downfield push toward the right field side against Buster infield plays in the polls. Change of swinging strike that one down around the knees into those last retain tips. The strike three to panic at the first strikes, and this is as good a change in troll. That's right out of Jason Schmitz. Repertoire. Changeups, Judah. Nobody on Pablo Sandoval is on track, Herrero. Thanks ball, and he just kind of puts it on display off the outside by several inches at 99 miles an hour, and it's one of two could imagine what that looks like. After two changeups, fastball changeup again here changes is the scratch. Here's the pitch. Three calls on the inside corner at the game with the fastball at 97 Posey was looking changeup. Ah, very strong Innings for Kelvin Herrera Wade go to the last of the fifth inning in J than the top of the order. Escobar Gate has opened the Giantsbullpen and Madison Bumgarner makes his entrance here in Game seven. Bumgarner infer the bullpen Giants leading 3 to 2. But the Giants get to on Posey's first home run of the year, a two run shot against Hill and the Dodgers 321 Giants through four. Due to time constraints. Crawford well over toward the middle of short, the right side of the infield is almost straight up for him swinging. The ball is topped foul back behind the plate. Strike one another off speed pitch there from Stratton that was pitch number 80 for strategy had a 21 pitch. Fifth and when she walked to no sun shining in the ballpark of the moment, the pitch line drive base hit to left center over to his left goes pens to cut it off. Yes, Quick will come up in the Giantsbullpen is going Teo get busy popping out of the dugout heading toward the left field bullpen Now is left hander Josh Sausage Twig is up. And you get the left handed hitting Bellenger on deck 3 to 1 Giants leading the Dodgers in the sixth inning belt on the bag. First with Sieger Twig is graduate to unending ending double plan is lined out the third and he takes a called strike for the cutter and its own one. Stratton Thrones fastball on the inside corner strike to call quick is very unhappy with the call. He shakes his hands and puts his hands on his hips on glares. Alfonso Mark ends He thought it was on the inside to the count. Second baseman panic shaded toward the middle O to pitch a very high on that one did not help Stratton's case in any way way up out of the strike zone. Riggs Line drive to Longoria and the 4th 1 government. A nice plate, lunging to his left 103 miles an hour are quick's back, Want to pitch fastball on the inside that he swing Bruce directing the first base up, and I was shocked when he said no swinging that looking at the television replay. His swing was sort of out there in that gray area would look like going to some and not to others, not to Dreckman to it to the count. Now, Stratton fires And in the hands again that it's popped foul just back into the first row behind the dugout in the first base side, two balls, two strikes. Giantsthree runs six. It's Dodgers won run on four hits, 60 quid dangerous hitter hit 28 home runs last year. Now the stretch. Stratton's pitch on the way goes inside and he's off. The corner count is full. Now at three and two, you're You're playing with fire with a guy like Queeg with quick back. Enormous power pitch inside, you make a mistake out over the plate. He's liable, launching Miss. You want miss off the corner? But now he's run out of room with which the maneuver it's a full count will keep an eye on cigarette first. And so will Stratton makes the throw over the first secret, dying back to the bag safely. George Lombard first base coach over to whisper something to Seeger. Chris Woodward is the Dodgers third base coach. Stratton laboring these last couple of innings. Seeger not running the pitches low, and he has the third walk in just the last two innings, Bruce Bochy climbing the steps of the dugout. That may be all for Chris Stratton. Stratton at 88 pitches for the game, 31 of those more than 1/3 in just the last two innings, and he hadn't even gotten out in this inning. Last seven hitters. He's walked three of them have given up one base head, so he the parts with a 3 to 1 lead becomes a bullpen. So now the Dodgers putting pressure on the Giants and getting into the Giantsbullpen, we would get a dosage versus Bellenger confrontation here with the lead on the line 321 Giants in the sixth inning townsmen going over what has been happening around the rest of Big League baseball, and I think he mentioned That Red Sox score from earlier today at Fenway was not warm at Fenway Park, but the bats were OK for the Red Sox. They were really quiet in the early part of the season, but the Red Sox offense has started. Wake up, including their young shortstop Zander Bogart had a disappointing year. Overall, I think last year he is off to a tremendous start this season came up in the second inning today with the bases loaded here, it ISS and this one is it high and deep, failed a grand Slam for Zander Bogart over the Green Monster.
