"You know, sometimes, it doesn't work. But I would say 9 out of ten times it does. Gives me energy. I could do twice as many push ups or I could plank for a minute and a half longer. After getting out of an ice bath. It. I don't want to say I was an angry person. But I had a short fuse. Especially in LA traffic. I don't have a short view anymore. I don't react. When something happens, be it in traffic or with a family member. I used to like, as if I had guns, holstered, and I was ready to shoot. The cold therapy, the ice plunges have taught my nervous system to pause, take a step back and respond accordingly. Can you hear her sound bowls? No, that's fine. Okay, I was hoping you could. I'm just kidding. I can hear it a little bit, but it's not disruptive to the conversation or to the microphone. That's what I meant. It's a beautiful sound. I love the crystal bowls and my wife. It's crazy. Yeah. She plays the hell out of them. And one more thing, I'd like to add. I have suffered from lower back pain and neck pain intermittently, most of my adult life. It's almost all but gone. And if I start to, if I begin to feel just a twinge or a tinge of it, I'll jump in the ice. It's gone. I also like to say, you know, I stack so much. Sometimes it's hard for me to know what exactly is doing the trick. I haven't worn shoes, I mean, of course I have, but 90% less than I used to for one, I'm not in the restaurant business anymore. And two, we had a major pandemic. So I've been barefoot. For the last almost three years, I wear earth runners, another shout out, earth runners, everybody, you should buy some earth runners. Yeah, they're really good. I've heard about a lot of them. I just broke mine today. I'm so sad. I have to order. I have to order a new strap. But I truly believe that some of my back pain is gone. Not just because of the ice. I point because my ice bath is right here. Not because of the ice, but also because of being barefoot and getting back to nature and grounding. I'm grounding all the time. I wake up at dawn, I sun gaze on my grass, barefoot, do some qigong, a little yoga stretches that has a lot to do with my back pain as well. So it's not all the ice. It's a combination. It's the stack. Yeah. That's very true. I definitely can agree with the way that the ice and the cord and the cold showers can change your mood. Just before the spot cause I was feeling a bit stressed for some reason. I was feeling a lot of anxiety. And I don't know why. And I intuitively just went into the cold shower. I went straight in and within like three seconds. I was feeling better, right? Because like you put it, when you're in the cold, you can't really think about the past or the future you're focused on the present and now and breathing. And I think that makes such a difference. And the other thing I wanted to say was, especially if you're doing an ice cold plunge, right? Recently, I was at my friend's place. We were recording Liza. Brad hopeless. And when you do a nice cold plunge, yes, you feel that shock. Yes, you feel that freezing cold. Yes, you're for a couple of seconds all over the place. And trying to center yourself. But it's an opportunity for connection too, right? Because when the person is sitting next to you and provides you that guidance on the assurance, automatically you feel better. So it's not just the core, maybe it's the connection as well, right? That the other person or persons provide. Oxytocin, absolutely. Yes. Back to what we were talking about earlier, energy and we were all connected. Especially when you're in that state when somebody's in that water and you're guiding them. Yeah. There is a connection for sure. And in my case, I have my clients take the ice bath after almost an hour of breathing. So they're cracked wide open. Wide open. I wanted to say one more thing about the ice. Everybody around me when it's a hot summer day. They complain, I got them so hot. Oh my God, turn on these. And I'm like, that's fine. It's not that bad, you guys. And vice versa, even though we don't really have crazy winters here in Los Angeles. But it gets cold. And it's been getting actually colder in the last several years. Everybody complains, oh my God, it's so cold. Turn the heater on. I'm like, it's not that bad, you guys. I've regulated my heart and my cold response. I'm never hot and I'm never cold anymore. Also, another thing about the ice bath is we modern humans are constantly seeking comfort. Right? And we're finding it. We're succeeding. Because everything is geared for comfort. Air conditioner heaters, rubber soles, Amazon, cars, everything you name it, you know, people here in Los Angeles. They won't even walk a block to go get. Whatever they need to buy at the store. They drive there.

The Sodder Family Tragedy: 75 Years Later

"Which applied to mafia members. And those who dealt with them. The fact that george never talked about his past suggests he might have been bound by a similar restriction. The mafia were very active in sicily in the late eighteen hundreds and early nineteen hundreds. And it's possible that george ran across them when he was a boy. If so that in encounter might have led him to fleeing to the united states. It could also have been why rafael felt like he had to return to their home country. Whatever secrets is childhood held. George spent the nineteen twenties thirties and forties raising his family in fayetteville west virginia but apparently he couldn't escape his past. George frequently argued with the other members of the towns italian-american community usually about a benito mussolini george despise the man and this put him in conflict with other immigrants who supported the fascist prime minister. It's possible that one of georgia's friends or neighbors belong to the american mafia after all by the nineteen twenty s. Many italian mobsters had immigrated to the united states so when george debated italian politics with the locals he could have made a very dangerous enemy without realizing it in nineteen forty-five five maybe the organization felt like they'd had enough of georgia's anti mussalini statements and retaliated by taking his children. Well it's true that the mafia didn't usually perform kidnappings it wasn't totally unheard of one of the most famous examples was the nineteen seventy-three abduction of oil fortune heir. John paul getty the third in the nineteen seventies. The getty family was as famous for their oil well as they were for their infighting. The patriarch j paul. Getty was a notoriously. Difficult man frugal. To the point of pathology. He had payphones installed in his english manor home. So his staff wouldn't add to his phone bill understandably. He didn't get along very well with his grandson john. Paul getty the third who went by paul. Abo- hime ian teenager who being kicked out of his italian prep school for clarity. From huron will refer to j paul getty as getty and his grandson will be paul. Paul kept a low profile to avoid his grandfather's vitriol but that all changed when he suddenly disappeared in rome soon after his worried family received a series of letters and a phone call from the kidnappers. They said they were members of the mafia and they demanded a ransom of seventeen million dollars for polls safe return but getty said that he had fourteen grandchildren besides john and if he gave them a sent it would only encourage similar opportunists to go after them for that reason. Getty refused to pay in response. The mafia cutoff polls ear and mailed it to a newspaper with their demands. Eventually the family paid the mafia three million dollars though getty himself only paid two point two million the maximum amount that he could write off as a loss for tax purposes. And by the end of nineteen seventy-three. Paul was back within the family. Fold though much the worse for wear. This wasn't the only time. The mafia used kidnapping as tactic in rome. In nineteen seventy five. The criminal organization kidnapped gianni bulgari a famous italian. Who was forty years old at the time. His affluent family quickly paid two million dollars for his return and he emerged relatively unscathed by the ordeal. However the solders were decidedly not wealthy. So it seems unlikely that the mob would have kidnapped their children for money. What's more george and jenny never received a ransom note. That said it is possible that the criminal society could have murdered the solder children in retaliation for something. George did the mafia's. Arcane codes supposedly protect women and young children but they don't always abide by these values take for example the case of giuseppe di matteo in one thousand nine hundred ninety three santino di matteo a former member of the sicilian. Mafia was preparing to testify against them in court in a bid to silence him. The mob kidnapped his twelve year. Old son giuseppi.

"And it just stop stead because there's no physics just hit definitely take this as a very satirical like perspective on the history of these sorts of games at at lara. Croft crofton nathan drake and slurring and their ilk jacket dexter. I'm mentioning kind of like if you remember super meat boy. Have i had like the retro little that you ended up going to sometimes you can go into the sides grow lee bit levels way you going through. You know some monochrome ones that. Look like a gameboy advance or then go through like a an air so thing you can sort of just go through the different extra extra little areas atari twenty six hundred and you just play off the the different game genres. It's like someone came through these these gothic castle and smashed all the lamps and torches and within things they came to the castle and kept on taking things. And it's sort of like that. Oh my god that sounds like a text adventure take sword those yelling and out typing in all caps. Okay man or that's that's fun. Click let's Gauguin breed right as in reign of king or queen blow. So yes i fi- i reckon yup sifi are. I think it's really like deep sifi as in like this so many source books and other bits and pieces that you need to rate up on this extra alternative material. That's like all the theory craft is spent hours on the forums. Trying to work at exactly. What's going on. But yeah like. I think deep saifi and i don't know whether or not you so we got cocoon we've got rain and breed weh. He said you said monarch And we've got cocoon. Is this a rice of butterfly people. Yeah yeah an ancient rice about a five year who maybe have disappeared of out of the universe and maybe the the remnants of it is still there and Power story on thinking like we're going mass effect stall did they disappear into another dimension or do they slip slightly out of time with us all all. I think they've gone through. Maybe they've gone into a little cocoon like a trend maybe themselves again. Yeah it makes. Everyone's been waiting a long time for them to come out of this cocoon because everyone's sort of like tend them into these ancient gods the ones who had power like that idea that like like a dyson sphere that was built and nobody has been out getting there for thousands and thousands of thousands of years. But they know that that's where all the monarch people The race of monarchs went and asked like a window or something so people could see. I think that's important. That's his life league around. Or how'd you as you know. But i think that's part of it is not like he had a long history of these worlds and some of them have been like people have cracked open and all of the solar system around it just like falls apart i think. What type of game was. I think this is like a. I think this is a spaceship game. I think it's it's. I don't think there's any like third person. First person parts of it. I think it's all delivered through like spaceship calms so. I think it's kind of like the talking sort of Slippy and all that ear but maybe with like some slightly updated graphics perhaps some like like almost like a european board game you know and they were really nice out stop. Textbooks is down the bottom Yeah and you're kind of work at your puzzling. Your way through i like that. I like it being as big exploration as you go running you sheep and you sue even if it's one of those kind of economy based you know your start up as a as a traitor as owner very bringing different things but as you go you you start hearing about this race of of marks still revered in this area of the galaxy you start kind of investigating and i did. I feel like you can just go to. They cut into the dyson sphere. Which is obviously. It's like this second solar system while salt sized. I thought it was like just going to be around the over mercury civil sized and just considering a oh well. I mean by definition. I think it doesn't be solar system sized in that it's built around the sun and so it would have to at least the distance of one of the planet burly. But yeah so this huge thing and you can go and you can check it out. Yeah maybe you can see into it in certain parts and you know you see sort of wreckage in different layers of the sphere. That people have made their way through. But nobody's kind made their way through to the center and and found with the whether these races even so what's happening to all the planets around this this dawson's at because obviously the paul like that sort of i think they've been ripped apart like to the course like literally to build this thing and maybe people that are living on the outside of this dawson's fear perhaps and like there's a little bit they've managed to out of it like you know. They found a few broken conduit. Still something and just plugged in double adapter and then run this issue that i love the idea of living or at least sort of yet living or just scavenging power and and technology from the outside these dozens. Be a what they can. Yeah so you said ship. Can we also have like little landers. They can sort of go down to good and the planets and well the remnants of the planets just to to try and find scrap and and all these little things. So you've at least got some sort of. I mean i'm not saying you know the people can get out of the land is but you know the the land goes down and you can sort of driving..

"Day after the murder of Gianni Versace Leads were still coming in hundreds every day and then July twenty third late afternoon. Aw The call came from a pier in Miami beach. A caretaker had been checking on the powder blue houseboat. The owner was away but it looked like someone was inside and something was wrong. I'll tell ya all. The latch was on. He approached the boarding door then a gunshot gunshot eyeshot pulled in an instant hundreds of Miami Beach Police the FBI out of town investigators. An Army of reporters orders were converging on the pier. It's gone now. The House spoke was knocked down years ago. Only a few rotting posts and a square of of concrete. Mark the spot but that day that moment so when we first got here uniform uniform patrol had a perimeter around the house but we called marine patrol to cover the water perimeter to make sure whoever was in there wouldn't get away then and we call the Swat team in where were the cameras of the world. We took over that parking lot right next to the fire station. So that's what we set up the media staging area so all the filming was being done from across the street. It was too dangerous to be sure there were a few over there on the other side of the worse. I'm on the other side of the water. That's not get stuck in. What do you mean snuck knocking? Doc Id we actually knew what he meant. Some of us from NBC including be found a perch across the waterway where we got a direct view of the houseboat and when police cordoned off the scene around the houseboat NBC correspondent Kerry. Sanders found another way to get closer. A roadblock police weren't letting anybody in and I looked over to my left and I saw a construction worker who was on his bicycle and he was riding home on the sidewalk and I ran over to him and I go. Can you give me a ride. Right on your handlebars and I hopped up on his handlebars gave him twenty dollars. Any road me down on the bicycle about four five blocks to get to where this was all going on a siege atmosphere settled in. How did you try to reach you to get worse? We had hostage negotiators on scene from the FBI and from the local the sheriff's office and they tempted to make contact via the landline telephone. But he didn't answer so We try to bullhorn and no response. Everybody waited the world watching at one point. Some officers moved in quietly busted a window and toss was to listening device into the houseboat. We were getting absolutely nothing from his house. So we're pretty confident. He was either gone or he was gone. How would he be gone? He slipped away from us before more than once they gave it thirty minutes and then it seemed clear that if someone was is inside that boat they were not going to come out. There was a swat team. Standing by. Armed with tear-gas when they went in what was your life are. They cleared the houseboat and when they went to the second floor bedroom they discovered a white male with a self inflicted. Gunshot wound was him. Maybe maybe not detective Navarro had fans brought brought in to disperse the tear gas and then he and the FBI man went in with a camera. Space Look more like an apartment than a boat. We went upstairs. There's without touching anything and we had you know. Booties on and gloves. And went up there and Looked at them and they knew after staring hiring at pictures of that face for so many days it was certainly Andrew Cunanan. We were very excited that it was over. We actually high five each rather. We were happy that nobody else was going to die. The police camera captured Cunanan's last refuge his exit. Seen what did he have in there with him. Books magazines and stuff. He was out of food. He was out of money actually that houseboat Kind of gave me the sense he he he was like a trapped in the living room. Spread of glossy magazines with their high fashion ads and reminders of a life. He could never have. There was some pecans and stuff that were like empty. The whole bill was eating like there was no food left in the house there was a TV the on the boat. Police believe he been watching and so new had to have that he was finally famous man and so at that stage of desperation operation where he knew he couldn't go anywhere couldn't do anything couldn't get food putting think that's why he killed himself. You know I think what happened was in Kanana's mind when he here's the caretaker walk in and say something whatever. He thought that was a police. I think he kills himself then and when he did. He took his secrets with him. He left no no no explanation for why he killed. Jeff Trail David Madsen Lee. miglin William Reese Jeon Iverson But now we've learned more about Andrew Cunanan and the consequences the the aftershocks of his.

"There's a reason? July is off season in Miami peaks temperatures temperatures that mirror the humidity drive. All the hardcore sun worshipers inside the days after Johnny died on his mansions coral steps. You Detective Jorge Navarro was most definitely feeling the heat. How much pressure was on your whole credible Never had that much pressure on me ever literally working around the clock sleeping two hours three hours keep going. I was young back so much. He didn't the police dragged and is intense in south Florida. Living goes the plaza. What was reputation reputation to the boys? It was a dump. Police say that correspondent Carey centers covered the story for NBC News in drive by and maybe role the window open. You drove by. It was just a nasty place which is why it's now. The business boarded up back then. It was a good place to hide right out especially for an unconventional tourist. Choosing to avoid the sun live in the shadows. He was lying low during the day he was added adult night. He was an easy guy to blend in. He was half Filipino. Half Italian he could have passed for any number of ethnicities once he lived. Large on Richmond's allowance in an ocean side condo picked up tabs for pricey dinners now he's living off of maybe one submarine Sandwich Day at once again. He was doing drugs turning tricks getting some old guys that probably had some money and he was robbing doing petty robby brought one guy and he was wearing a cartier bracelet and when he left is no longer wearing it. Mid June Kuhnen had been in Miami beach for a month and it settled into his CD routine the Normandy. He wasn't moving but for some reason he decided his truck needed to. He drove of that red pickup truck to this garage. Just two blocks from the research. Imagine for Saatchi wasn't home. He was preparing with his supermodels to show his fall. Winter Collection election at Paris Cunanan in his own way was also making a big name for himself the FBI had just put him on. Its ten most wanted list. Publicizing it on some relatively new computer technology is one of the very first people they ever put up on the Internet as a fugitive. FBI actually received received a few tips. That Cunanan might be Florida. But they didn't communicate that to the Miami Beach Police well barriers notorious for Sharon information. One way that's from you to them. Richard Barada was the Miami Beach Police chief. Twenty years ago they could have probably done a little better job. Miami Beach Police responded within minutes but it was too late. If it was Kuhnen it. You'd already taken his tunas seven soda and left. There was no doubt however that it was Cunanan who walked into the cash on the beach. Bond shop running running low on money. He decided to pawn gold coin. The shop owner who didn't recognize him paid him one hundred ninety dollars Gonen. Actually he signed his own name and the owner submitted. The paperwork to the Miami PD required by law. "Chicago. This is where America's romance was. Skyscrapers began more than a century ago. A romance that's called dreamers ever since when I saw that sears tower building said you know that looks pretty good. I think I can do that. Paul Bike Lert made it happen when he joined forces with developer Lee Miglin in four decades ago. We were giants and we didn't realize it. We were moving it a lightning speed and changing the skyline literally overnight. You too were tired of the HIP. Yeah and he was my best friend. He was a person that I spent five days a week with twelve hours a day. He was just that close as their company. Prospered big organized and you will thank you. Worry turn to alarm no sign of Lee and then down the alley behind his house. A neighbour found The dead in his garage Maryland called Paul Bipolar. I was frozen. I couldn't believe what I was hearing. It didn't dawn on me to ask what happened or how he was murdered. Or when and only that I just lost the most important person next the my family and my life by rushed to the mcglynn home and headlong into chaos. It was like a three ring circus in the front. The design legacy of Apples Jony Ive is iconic, but eco-problematic

"Apple is known for beautiful expensive products that get replaced pretty often either for status or because the battery is dying when longtime designer Gianni. I've left apple last month to form his own design company. Lots of people looked back at his time at apple and his influence on creating. Waiting products that were hard to repair prioritized thinness and beauty over sometimes reliability and whether as apple gears up to announce new iphones this fall that might actually change now that I've is Gone Kyle Wiens is the founder of the electronics repair site. I fix it. He wrote a blog post about ives mixed legacy at apple especially when it comes to the environment and he said sometimes simple isn't better. It's this idea that it should be so simple to use the you shouldn't have to worry about how it works. What's under the hood? They decided intentionally that they were going to hide the complexity of the battery from us but what that did is a side effect was it limited the lifespan it made these last shorter and and so then when the new you know a sexy renew features comes out next year like Ammiel one doesn't work as well. I'm going to get a new one. How much did these design choices influence? The rest of the tech world like phones used to have walkable batteries until the iphone came along and Apple Paul really you could argue drove the rest of the industry into this sort of more throw away tack. Absolutely they drove the rest of the industry this idea that it was acceptable that you could get away with say integrating the hard hard drive onto the main motherboard. If you want to separate the computer from the data. There's no way to do it. That's the kind of thing that that most other companies would have said No. That's a red line. We won't Cross Apple crosses that line and then everyone else follows you've also. Written recently about how Johnny is designs based on the style of German industrial designer deter roms and a principal like a really important principle of deter ROMs design was sustainability environmental sustainability and you talk about how Johnny lives is leaving apple without having reconciled really a big gap there. Why do you think that that shift happened and really hasn't been addressed right out of design? Principles Design Zayn is is sustainable and design long lasting and I think those things get coupled together when you do something like like doing in a battery that artificially limits the life of the entire device to the life of its shortest component. You're getting on this consumer a treadmill treadmill where we just have to go out and buy more things and the the environmental impact of manufacturing these things is significant. It's it's over two hundred pounds of raw material to make an iphone but the fundamental product architecture of saying as thin as possible and damn the consequences it really is a challenge. What we've seen is apple's environmental team who is very good have done everything they can to make? The products is sustainable except change the design that has been driven by Johnny Ivan his team and there have been A. A number of very specific decisions that they've made that of limited lifespan of these devices I think probably to the Chagrin of apples embarrasment team who then has to support it in the best possible late how much of it is on us the consumer I I mean we have certainly bought them all the time. We've complained about them. You know you've got rid of the headphone Jack. Oh I can't slot my battery out. This is so annoying and yet we we do keep buying them absolutely and this is a challenge that we have is a culture. Is it when you when you have something where there's multiple variables that you have to choose from you want the best audio player but you also would like something that will last a long time <hes> because it doesn't have stamped on the box. Hey this thing last eighteen months. I think we tend to forget we put out of our minds. Were not very good. <hes> psychologically it making long term decisions and then then later we tend to justify say oh well you know it's not running as as long as it used to but <hes> you know there's a new one that came out so I think I think that is <hes> they've been able to take advantage of psychology <hes> that yes we bear some responsibility but I think the lack of disclosure if they said hey if a single key on this computer breaks it's going be over a thousand dollar repair that might change people's mind when they're purchasing things up front but people don't have that information and how do you think that that mentality that psychology is starting to change sort of like as you get to the point where you're feeling like <hes>. I'm about to buy my fifth iphone. Phone this one seems fine except the battery for example and then of course there was the scandal about it. Do you think that as these devices get longer in the tooth. There's more awareness that they don't last as long as maybe they should or could I think so we're starting to see people wanting to push their devices longer part of that is the improvement in smartphones is not as great every year as it used to be so as that's potatoing. We don't need to get new phones <hes> all that frequently but the batteries don't last any longer than they used to so all of a sudden. We're GONNA keep our phones twice as long as did three four years ago <hes> we're going to have to be replacing the battery and at that point making those batteries available <hes> is going to be an important competitive differentiator and that's where you have companies like Motorola that have come out and said we're going to sell service parts for our funds. We're going to make them available both to repair shops into consumers <hes> there's a there's a crack that apple has left in the market that perhaps mother all will exploit so we could start circling back around to the beginning where we have phones with <hes> swap -able batteries and maybe S._d.. I D cards lots and so this is something really funny people as as because we take these things apart I take apart every iphone. There is room inside the Iphone S._d.. Card Slot. There's room for some cards. There's room for Nestea card. They put that in there the only reason that you can't upgrade. Upgrade the memory on the iphone is is because they want to charge you an extra hundred or two hundred dollars for the extra storage Kyle Wayans the founder of the electronics repair site. I fix it and now for some related links lots of words have been written about apple and whether it still has its legendary Mojo and what will happen now that Johnny Ive is gone but I fought Jonathan Troy Aikman in the New York Post put a really well a week or so ago you said apple needs to figure out how to keep creating things that we didn't even know we needed. We of course also have linked to Kyle wiens piece on our website Marketplace Tech Dot Org and obviously it isn't only design. That's made apple products especially the iphone more likely to get replaced then repair. It's also the fact that a new device gifts introduced every year always at least in theory with some must have set of features that means the old one is now useless or at best unwanted and then new features in its operating system. Them Aren't always available for older phones like in the upcoming thirteen. There's a software fix to keep your battery from overcharging which should prevent your battery from getting old and not holding a tarred so quickly after you buy a new phone except that I._S.. Thirteen will only be available on newer iphone models but it does seem like consumers increasingly want off the hamster wheel research firm Gartner forecast last week that smartphone shipments will have their quote worst ever decline in two thousand.

"Career and a big time celebrity still looks like a million bucks as he does sitting here to my millions supposed to be beaten by now. Billion dollars the great Gianni Russo everybody. Good morning, John. Thank you. Good morning. So. What do you start? I mean, the book mentions everybody from Pablo Escobar to John Gotti mountain Monroe to the Kennedy brothers to Frank Sinatra. But I guess we'll start with this. And it's always a lame. But obligatory question why now after all these years, did you decide to write this book is good question. Because is just saying come up on the elevator. The only one guy that I was still worried about that was alive. Just died. Much seven. Gotcha. Julia Persico Persico by them in the book. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. He was the only guy that's alive. So with that said the reason why now I had a meeting about two years ago where a major boss I. Louis name, but he died and he's good. Let the book out let the Boca. She I has a guy like Henry hill. All those years going on Howard Stern's show going all over don't compare me to our and really Iraq. He was a rat. Everybody wanted him dead. All those guys when prisoner dead already. But there was still some guys alive. He never had any issue going out there right books to win movies doing radio shows have no issue. But I'm I'm still involved in Sicily. I just do a lot of business. Okay. This year. I'm doing about three billion dollars in importing and exporting with the Greco brothers out of Chicago legit legit. Yeah. But still when I go over there. Those guys don't stop. Gianni Russo from the beginning you were born and raised in the you had polio. You spent five years in Bellevue as a kid with the greatest thing that ever happened to me who was horrible to south to read about that. You were there your parents. I I don't think they visited you while you were there. I didn't know that. I was so confused because here I went there was like seven and a half years of age, and nobody came like my birthday, December twelfth Simmons Sinatra rush changed my life when I heard on the radio, and but I was quarantined, and they didn't know what was going on with that disease. Well, because we are kind of short on time your parents and visiting was terrible. It leads you to meet Frank Costello. But the way you learn to walk. I guess is the the amusing part Dolores. Yes. That's almost sacrilegious because to was a candy striper and choose call again. Sneeze. She pulled his shirt down. Yeah. And that's how we learned to walk. He walked over to the, you know, the fruit. I thought that was very amused. Mulberry street. Now, you found that and come visit you, but even if he could you may not have because you talk about your dad in the book that wasn't around March was living his own life doing his own thing. And also worked I guess what was it on a station you'll get kind of hung around with they need like him. He had a no show job. Right. Only anesthesia beers. Right. No. But my father. I mean talking about that. I couldn't say a load of my father lets you acknowledge me I from the street. Yes. He'd want people think he was married and had kids. Yeah. I think I'm a bad guy. That's a tough one. And he broke the mold of Italian fathers as you point out in the book were very family oriented, your dad was a little bit. There's a lot of those guys in the neighborhood though. You know, they real buffalo. They they wanna be walk around like there's somebody nobody. But as a respect of certain friends. Yeah. Again jobs, and they do what they then they weren't just about everybody in the neighborhood was actually mafioso hooked up. I mean, I I was telling Bernie I went two years ago. I moved back from Miami a couple of years ago, and I took my wife and my daughters how come. So so we went to the to the festival, you know? And in literally Monday morning I walked in. I said what the hell happened to little Italy. I mean what I know. But when you talk about it from fifty years ago when you want to where it is today. I mean, you see people in literally today that whenever in your neighborhood fiddle mic on you. But you know, what everybody that made money? They went to the boroughs. Yeah. And then they didn't want to come back to the neighborhood, and the fools that they are. And were they never bought the buildings. That's how they get squeezed out. Right. If they bought those buildings is very few families that actually owned their building. But now the rents down there ridiculous. My my apartment that was I think sixteen dollars in nineteen forty nine in which is thousand dollars lives in a closet. The family had sleeping in a closet. The next two. Brain dead Smith received. The book is the Hollywood godfather my life in the movies and the mob Gino Russo and Johnny if you'd be Gianni Russo and Johnny listened. So let's to further along you met you hooked up with Frank Costello outside the hotel. And it leads you to meet Grace Kelly Ava Gardner. But the the result stone stones you're doing was shampooing Marilyn Monroe's hair. And then well, do you believe that other things? I know that's crazy. Well, I was about with fourth head of hair because I had to go to continuation school, and they put me Wilford academy. And I'm seeing you Frank would you put me there for I don't wanna grow up to a head. And then soon showed up that morning these young chicks. I just like a candy store is I'd love to school. And then they commit for shampoo boys for lily that share your big, salon, fifty six hundred talk, and Kenneth wasn't and mocks and clear, and I think they were trying to do me. But the thing is that for hair. Marilyn monroe. I couldn't believe in. You say you say that you're done a five year stint at of university jail. And when you got out she gave you a hug talking about Marilyn Monroe. And you said what you love most about her. I guess besides was was a she was child. Like she was like she was like a little kid. You loved about not only that. I mean, this girl all she wanted was a hug to we had a lot of comparison. I don't want to Johnny. Slept together sleep together when you were fifteen. Yeah. You spent the weekend with her in a bed that wasn't the only time there's a couple of many times. Unfortunately, I got to know as a friend. But that's I mean, that's who she was. That's why so many guys to use later Marlon Brando's talking to me about him. I got close I smile Lewis's. Don't tell me you were there. Yeah. So he says tell me one thing if you were really there. I would. No, I should you talk about the scar. On the left side on like. They leave on you. Now, you also have a theory of how how she died, right? How did model Monroe? I have come on. Of elimination is worth more than the theory. Okay. So what's what's the I was always the is in years after the Appalachian that whole fiasco Castillo would never go to these six, but he had to have somebody go. So he always sent the kid. I was known as the kid from so many years again, not knowing who's protecting me introduce you to want a beep, you don't want people who who you are. And so that's why even the pitcher Marilyn Monroe, and I think it's in the book, I turn my head. Don't be on camera. Find a little bit by the way, Bernie of sunny and the kid and Chazz Palminteri LeBron's the kid, and you will attack him kind of like you when Frankie Castillo, right? Well, very similar that was made up though. So my story that when when you get to this Marilyn Monroe thing prior to that this is Kennedy got elected and the mob was the mob. Guys were mad that whole idea when Joe approached Frank who's Frank Sinatra who you who were friends with someone. The strange. But in other words, they thought he was going to be friendly towards the mob, and he ends up hiring his brother, Bobby, and they were anything but friendly to the mob. So they had realized I don't think. Jodi, the how much right to be hated the whole lifestyle. Yeah. Because Bobby was the last kid and mother was like, you know, what they did to that. Poor mother, the father he'd bring women home. And those boys at sixteen on his sixteenth birthday. Had somebody do make him a man. Right, right. This guy was nuts. But the good news was he was so close to Castillo they made thirty million each during prohibition while Newport. So you see with telling us that tussle Castilla would not want to go to these things. He would send you getting back to how you think Marilyn Monroe da. She was helping set up the Kennedy's what? Jimmy Hoffa they took pitches. Jimmy, Hoffa us prior to this 'cause you across dresser. And he would always denounce the mafia Tilleke Falvo commission. And so they thought they didn't get what they want to be going to blackmail the Kennedys because they were supposed to get Cuba back. They promised if John became president eight invade Cuba gambling casinos back. And everybody's win win. Bobby comes in. He's not going for the convinces, brother. There's no missiles on that island. We're not going. So we got nothing not we better meet the mob got nothing. And that's what this was about. They thought they'd get Maryland. Bobby and John one more time together. Take the pictures the mistake. Mount Hermon rain on Saturday night. I was outside the bungalow hearing a scream some Shamgar the press she's done with the Kennedy brothers told Bobby that to space and that was it. So how'd they do it? They they shot up with something and three days later, she died and you surmise. Is that they will kill you know, why I can tell you a shot something in a pubis or something. Yeah. No air. There was a guy. They call them the doctor for a lot of reasons he was anesthesiologist failed the test. Will he did in the pubic hairs? Yeah. You can see the puncture marks while in that area. Like, even a man the fee opium organ because I wanted to be an assassin. So I learned how to do that URL show. One eight hundred eight four WABC so much more to get to including how you end up on the set of the godfather oil other relationships fascinating ten minutes. Don't go anymore. Anyway, I should say more with actor Johnny Buso, right? After.

"Producer for the Gianni Versace story. He won an award about John J I always have resuscitate was cool, man. He was killed by a crazy game. Now, let's be real welcome to the second hour of the show dental Hachette delays on Twitter official dental lash on Facebook that was from the Golden Globes last night. I watched a portion of it because I like Carol Burnett, and I know she was getting a war, and that was pretty much at and I like to watch a check and are not going to tune out from culture. This is I think the conservatives biggest people on the rights. Biggest thing there is I don't want to get involved in culture. Well, then bitch about it. When culture decides to make the determination for what political policies are gonna come down the pipe because politics are done strength from pop culture. I've said this for how long. You can't disengage anti again. I like looking at the dresses. I can get I this is where I miss the great Joan rivers because she was so good at just slicing and dicing on that red carpet, but the this producer this, you're you're you're setting a straw, man. You're arguing things that no one's actually pushing. No, one sane be afraid of people who are different from you. Who the hell does that? Who that where are you getting this you what you're you're trying to create something? So you can feel like a hard ask them resisting against it. Look, I'm going to create a straw, man. Look at all the stuff that's being said about me in the way, I live my life. You know, why? Because it's not as edgy if you have to acknowledge that people just don't care. We don't care. I actually like for Saad. Jay and stuff. Stuff's cool. And. I think we should have strong border security, and we should have legal immigration and. So following the see none of the stuff that they say makes sense. See you you have to keep doing all of this. And and you make up this ridiculous straw, man argument. So that you can look edgier in. I don't know what the point is. Consistently pushing these these the false ridiculousness who was it was a Christian bale. Right. He played Dick Cheney and let me pull this up. I want to make sure I get the quote, right? Oh, he played Dick Cheney and didn't he get an I I don't I think I stopped watching it at that point. Didn't he get an award? He got an award this friend, William Amos. And he said he gave thanks to Satan. He says thank you Satan for giving me the inspiration on how to play this role. That's what he's Senator. He won an award for his portrayal of former VP Dick Cheney and vice. Oh my gosh. Who's divisive and full of hate and all that stuff. Again. That's the new town in two thousand nineteen. Well, that's just it's lame. That's so ridiculously lame. Coming from Christian bale? I mean, we've seen all the videos of him going off on crew members and everything like he didn't need any help from Satan to play any sort of negative role. Let's be honest about. Yeah. Yeah. I yeah. Go. So it's just so stupid this. They make up so many progressives make up the stuff to argue against because I honestly think that they're the ones who can't handle tolerance. No, one cares. What you do in your private life? All my gosh. I don't even care. Why are you trying to make me care so much? Nobody cares. This is all I'm asking. Abolish, the IRS have strong border security and organiz legal immigration. And let me do what I wanna do. You're not the Boston me. Let me take my gun all across the country. I'm so tired or not having national reciprocity. Four ways to become my BFF. You are make them happen. We're best friends. I'll drive you to your jewelers. We'll get him his paw. You can have have I'll have half. Olin mills and get BFF portraits taken together. Seriously. I just don't I don't even care. Stop to stay out of my pocket of my business. But I have all these people who are like what you. Stay out of our lives, by.
