"Germaine Samuels at 81% of the line this year. He's got all six made free throws for Villanova in the lead is 6 33 27. Well, there's no question that Baylor's defense is really set up to stop Jeremiah Robinson, Earl, but I think Villanova is going to need more from in. If they're gonna win this game, Kevin, just six points for Robinson are also far vital to the left side and T back up top. The vital he'll attack drives down the right side of the line gets all the way inside. Thanks it off the window and home and vital such a strong take off the dribble cuts the lead to four Against zone that looked like a 23 zone there from Villanova, but he just drove against it. Sometimes it's hard with no ball movement to tell which defense they were in is more top of the key bounces of the Samuels, a little pump takes handles drives inside. His defender fell down and Samuels goes all the way to the rim and lays it in no Robinson, Earl, But Samuel's picking up the slack with 14. That's another slip. That's the fourth slip by a Baylor player. Decided the court to the right of us, but we will bring it up set up in the left hand Offensive zone flag. We're trying to get free gets into the paint his little runner from five drops in, got one step into the lane and just dropped it over the left side of the room. 35 31 filling over might have been two quickest baskets back to back this entire afternoon. We have not had a lot of pace in this game, while the pace has been slow. More from left to right, bouncing up top to Robinson, Earl. Well extended behind the art to the left side. And Slater backs it out Now Robinson or old little pump fake couldn't get Farmer in the air. Feeds it to Maura Maura fakes The three slides left deep jumper won't go rebound. Weak side, Butler and Butler will push it up the floor to T J C O t Go on the attack blocked off by Justin more Deep three right side that won't go for Flagler. Well, that was an early shot, four ft. Behind the arc of the rebound, Villanova. Scott do wanted that shot. They've already cut three points off the league. There's gonna be a substitution. Soon. Samuels tried to split two defenders of bounced to a cutter and laying it in on the right side is Brandon Slater. There was a tiny window to get that bounced through from Samuels, and he found it. 37 31 Villanova, But the interior passing cab in extremely tight quarters for there is just no room to breathe in there. That's the second time in the second half that we've seen doing over find away on a whistle and a foul is gonna be called As Baylor sets up in the half court. Justin Morte, trying to fight through a screen picks up his second personal found that will take us to the media time out 14 22 remaining in this Second half and through the 1st 5.5 minutes. Republicans Pitch Biden on Smaller Aid Plan

"A White House meeting between President Biden and 10 Republican senators went an hour longer than expected tonight as the group discussed covert relief. Republicans were presenting their alternative to the $1.9 Trillion covert relief package that President Biden has put forward. The Republican plan calls for less some $600 billion in aid instead, with smaller unemployment payments that expires sooner and smaller stimulus checks. Senator Bill Cassidy was at the meeting tonight. He's a Republican from Louisiana and joins us now. Welcome, Senator. Thank you all. So thanks for having me great to have you. Well, it sounds like it was a very long hopefully. Productive conversation. Where did you all leave it? Where we left it. You really shouldn't start off with a top line and work towards filling it up. You're basically trying to prove you care more about the American people by spending more. But of course, we recognize that we are borrowing this money, and there's a consequence and a knopper to nitty cost if you don't spend it wisely. So with that said both sides that okay, these are proposals and this is why we propose this amount and not that amount. I spoke to education on pointing out by the way that already we've appropriated about three times more than the centers for disease control say is necessary. For schools to safely reopen the president counters and several. This is my understanding, and we made a commitment that we would he would have his staff get us the facts. Upon which they based their decision. And of course we can share with them the CDC data and the other scientific literature as to why we think what's out there is adequate now the difference between our mountain his mouth for K through 12 is about $110 billion. So it's just a lot of money. S so if they can prove their case we'd be willing to give more and hopefully, if they can't they be willing to ask for less well. If Republicans and Democrats are not able to meet in the middle. Some of your Republican colleagues have argued that Using a process called reconciliation to pass this package that is Democrats passing it without any Republican support will make it harder in the future for both sides to work together. That said Republicans did use reconciliation back in 2017. When your party had control of the House, the Senate the White House in order to circumvent any objections from Democrats back then why should Democrats act any differently now? So there's a couple things to that a more nuanced if you will understanding one thing that Schumer is spoken of Chuck Schumer, the majority leader is doing away with the so called bird rule. Which is to say that on Lee something which is Germaine to the budget. Can be included. Right if you do that, then Katy Bar the door. They want to Democrats push to put through increasing the minimum wage of $15 certainly not remain to the budget, but that they would use this process to jam it through. Even though the CBO says that raising the minimum wage to $15 an hour would destroy 1.3 million jobs or something like that. Now, that's the sort of thing that should be discussed, debated not jam through on reconciliation because it has nothing to do whatsoever with Kobe. And it has nothing to do whatsoever with the, um the budget so you would end up destroying the institution. Republicans and Democrats to date have never attempted to destroy the institution. And their employment of budget reconciliation. Putting aside the issue of whether reconciliation being used in this case would violate the bird rule. Democrats did win a Senate majority, in part because they promised to send more relief aid to people. So elections have consequences. Right, Senator Why shouldn't Democrats try to use every tool within their disposal if Republicans are unwilling to sign on to the package that they want? When President Biden gave his speech, and he said he was going to reach across the aisle, looking for bipartisanship and asking for unity. We have passed five different covert bills on a bipartisan basis. Five different covert bills on a bipartisan basis, Spending trillions of dollars. Nobody's gone small in this Now, If you say Wait a second. We can't do a six. Because for some reason we've done five, but we can't do six because really, we want a lot more than you want, And we don't think you'll give it to us because we can't give you the data to support the numbers. That's certainly not in the spirit of the previous five. It would be something that would be totally unilateral, not supported by data and only doing it because, by golly, we can I don't think that's unity, and I don't think that's

"You know, you can burn your food to a crisp in a matter of minutes, whereas the transformation from fermentation is a much slower and gentle or fermentation, And I think that when we think about metaphorical fermentation and the idea of fermentation being a Driving force in social change. It's a gentle or mode of social transformation. Then you know what we could think of analogous to fire, which is, you know, just like burned the whole thing down and start from scratch. The you know the transformations wrought by fermentation just tend to be Slower and more gentle, but also, you know, fermentation is a force that is unstoppable. So so there's a certain you know, steadiness and inevitability to transform it to Ah fermentation as a transformative force. You were just finishing up this volume. When Cove it hit What thoughts? Did this new challenge? Add to your reflections. It was very interesting. I mean, I I really submitted my manuscript. Like just as cove it hit and then I You know, I kind of realized that you know it was Germaine and I needed Teo. You know, I needed to address it in some ways. So I mean, one thing that I that I talk about a good deal in the book is a war on bacteria. The idea that you know, people have become afraid of bacteria and people often. You know, project that fear onto the process of fermentation. You know, through the years, the question I've heard more than any other question is, how can I be sure that I have good bacteria growing in my jar of cabbage and not something dangerous bacteria that might make me sick or even killed somebody. So you know, a lot of people just can't help themselves from, you know, projecting this anxiety onto this time tested extremely Ah, safe process. You know, the cove it period is sort of, you know, bringing us into, you know, a sort of moving from the war on bacteria to the war on viruses. But, you know, in a way, it's just an intensification of the war on bacteria. You know, I I mean, I guess one of my interest is making sure that we don't just demonize viruses as Ah, you know, as an entire group the way we've demonised bacteria, because, you know, I think that it's To our detriment when we you know, sort of decided that a form of life is is bad and needs to be destroyed. You know, if we consider them a form of life, viruses are by far the most numerous form of forms of life. There are more viruses than there are on all other forms of life combined. And you know, one of the practical benefits that we humans get from viruses is that you know they're a major factor in keeping bacteria in balance, because the largest viruses are thought to be fagioli, which manifest is diseases for bacteria. So you know, in our bodies and in other environments of the earth, you know, viral populations are part of what are, you know, keeping bacterial populations in check, So I mean, I just Think we can't Think of forms of life as being, you know, bad or good. You know, they just they they exist. And they're you know, we're all part of this, You know, Elaborate co evolutionary relationship,.

And that you know, when you overstay your position, you just look like a lunatic. That's all trans actual tweets were pretty devastated to discover that Martina Navratilova is transphobic. If trans women had an advantage in sports, why aren't trans women winning gold medals left right and center, perhaps it's because there's not a lot of them and not a lot of them want to compete and not a lot of them once competing can then beat because it's it's a very very small percentage. Air Foley, just starting to enter competition as trans women in women's sports. So I think it's something that we're going to start seeing a lot more of yours. It's starting at the high school and college level. And I think that we're going to start seeing this the Olympic Committee just accepted trans women competing in women's sports. So it's there's some standard that they won't quite give out for the Olympics yet, I don't know that they have established a standard. So it's comp-. It's confusing. Like all its is terribly ironic. The trans women get to to take hormones, but which are the steroids. You cannot take. Right. Right. So on Sunday Czech-born Navratilova was wrote a gritted teeth plea for reconciliation without giving up her ground. Perhaps instructive leash. She likened her critics to communists, who tried to shut me up forty five years ago. She does have a point of view that is unique having coming from Czechoslovakia. We'll see if she should he dares broached the subject in public ever, again, many of those below have chosen silence over the right to explain to express an opinion. Germaine Greer and rape. Greer wrote second wave feminism's bible, the female eunuch, but decided to get off her plinth by writing a book on rape, the challenged some of the most unbreakable orthodoxies last year. The Australian condemning argued that no not all rape was traumatic which you know. I mean, that's certainly not the narrative that you get out of the media, right? Like, all rapes terrible. I'm not making any excuses for rape. But if you have this huge spectrum of what rape is if everything's rape. Then some of it has to of feminist orthodoxy considers all heterosexual sex to be rape, some of it. So the reason that if you lot of women are having heterosexual sex and enjoying it, then they are not traumatized, nor is each rape as bad as any. Other rape that makes sense to me. But I can see how that might get you in trouble like, you know, the the date rape kind of rape versus. I dunno getting beaten up and left behind a dumpster, kind of rape one worse than the other to my mind. But anyway, nor desire, nor is it desirable to attempt to jail every man who has ever engaged nonconsensual sex. I'd like to see the sentences that back that up, but I can see some instances where these things might happen. To share a story from high school. I had a girlfriend who we would she wanted to not have sex until she got married, but she would do a lot. We would do a lot of things together that looked like sex from ten feet away or something right? And a simple tilt of the hips or something like that could have resulted in something that wouldn't have been desirable. If it was a mistake. It was a mistake. But if it was intentional then what what are you? What word do you put on that? Now it never happened. But if it had happened if I'd had had the presence of mind to think of that. I never did. I never even imagine doing that. But you know, in retrospect. What could it would just be a rape? You couldn't prove it would just be a rape of really really poor evidence. That's what it would be. The R word be considered accidental rape. Okay. It was intentional. So no, the intentional act would not have been accidental right, by the way, some people talk. That's how a lot of people ended up pregnant I accident. So if we're if we're going with it, I well, I think it's a different sort of accident that they ended up pregnant by. But whatever could happen. One. Tweeter says regarding these these thoughts Germaine, Greer, speaking on rape is succeeding in being factually wrong and gasping Lee offensive in an impressive variety of ways, quite a talent going the article goes on way of perfectly missing her point Greer herself as a rape victim was regaled with details of horrific sexual assaults and dismissed as a professional troll one. Tweeter Charlie Webster, says I will also happily tell you Germaine Greer about how I was repeatedly sexually abused teenager. And tell you all about what it did to me and introduce you to some people, both female, and male survivors who will take who will make you realize how ignorant and damaging your comments are now, I don't think MRs Greer suggested that all sexual assaults or not damaging that they are all of them are somehow good or any of these now traumatized. Or anything like that? But to suggest to suggest that there's a spectrum. Of human reaction a spectrum of you know. Results in criminal punishment that should be meted out is apparently just triggers the sex crime victims. Well, as long as we're having a third party, a third an unrelated third party decide what the punishment should be. I don't see why there's a difference in punishment. But I mean. Yeah. People react there's been rape victims who's come out and said, I am not traumatized by this. I'm not going to argue with them and tell them that they are. So that I don't I'm not sure what the point of that is. But it's technically accurate take. For instance. You know, what if both parties? Don't remember how they got into the situation. They did not consent with maybe say they were both drunk, right? Okay. Didn't consent her they were drunk 'cause those are you're drunk, and you want you know, you wake up in bed with someone. You don't even know how you got there what their name is. And I think there's a lot argue that that is not a lot of us. Are you a lot? Enjoyable times at college can probably attest to these sort of as happening. Who do you punish? There's absolutely no evidence that Arabia occurred. Utah. Thank.

"Good morning, Mike. Good morning. Well, we hope they can do to the raiders what they did to the Seahawks. Maybe a little more seamlessly and maybe without three picks. But what's the biggest challenge posed by the raiders? Would you say? Yeah. I think the biggest thing is everyone thinks the Broncos are gonna roll in this game. And you know, right now who are the Broncos to to be such big favorites of the there's still five and eleven from last year. Jon Gruden very good coach Derek Carr has been at times, very good quarterback more. So a couple of years ago. You know, the raiders when when they're when they're told they don't have much of a chance, I, you know, my guess is they're gonna come in here and fight. I think the Broncos will win. But I think they're going to have to battle, you know, much like they did this past week against the Seahawks. They gotta be licking their chops though to some degree looking at Derek Carr. I said this last year, and I know he was pretty seemed to regress a little bit his opening game. Wasn't that good? And when you've got a defensive rush with von Miller shack, Baird all those guys. And then of course, my Bradley Chubb, they got to be thinking they can lay back there yours and actually get to him in and really pressure him. Yeah. They have a good offense a blind. No. It's it's really it's got a lot of experience up there might be one of the strengths of their of their team. So yeah, I'm sure they'll look at that. The Broncos front. I think von Miller had a real good match up with Germaine fatty Seahawks. He's one of the worst right tackles in the NFL Donald Penn with the raiders who's one of the better ones. So we'll see it was, you know, I I don't think the Broncos will have quite we'll get quite pa-past. Rush had a great plan of guns. Russell Wilson cars more stationary, not not as mobile not nearly as mobile as Russell Wilson. But he gets rid of the ball quicker, and that frustrates a pass rush more than than the scrambler. Does you know you wanna say throw the ball take some risks? You know, get that guy. But at the same time, you don't wanna throw picks. So how do you how do you square that circle? I guess aside for most reports very aggressive often. What was he did grow the ball while he completed I think the twenty five thirty nine so without he's twenty five forty six. I don't know what happened on those three picks. They were they were head scratchers. I don't know what you can do on April. Because it's about instinct to make you will you will. Wait and see what happens. Our coverage begins early eight AM Sunday to twenty-five kickoff. On KOA. And that was our Broncos insider, Mike Klis headed Coors field pitch.
