"Lettuces them natural born competitiveness. And you just natural born competitor and you always go and compete over anything if you have been. Nfl arc room. I'm sure there's an nba locker. We compete over everything shooting Paper in the trash can whether it's grabbing this chair whether it's talking about sports when we compete in everything so that's just life for us but we just so happened to play a sport and then be able to and get paid for the one thing that you do that. You may take for granted and i would tell anybody is when you're going to injury whether it be acute or chronic that you must attack that injury like you are a pro athlete. So if you're not a proactive that means you have to literally eat breathe and sleep the rehabbing on it. So you put yourself in a situation where you don't end up with arthritis or you know much scar tissue that you arrange a motion is impeded which leads to other injuries. And and in in piedmont and things like that. So i think it's important regardless we talk about once physical health that we do everything we can from the recovery standpoint from the pre habilitation standpoint from the rehab standpoint. So that we can physically feel our best because we know that if we're physically not feeling good it affects our mindset and whether it's gerald mccoy or any other athlete that That i work with that has been injured. The hardest part is being on the sideline and not being part of the team and the rigors of having to rehab four four hours a day on that. So i'm always curious on that. How do you think it's going to take joe. What's it gonna take for you to get back to the we get signed this year..

"You know we just moved texas. We're trying to get established. We just moved into our new house. I don't want you to have to get thus tablets in a whole new state by yourself. And i actually got busted for their shoes. Like you made a decision for me. You don't get to make decisions for me. I know what i signed up for. When i married an nfl player. And you can't be great or do what it is you do at a high level and be a hundred one hundred percents. Father is one other and since your career doesn't last long. I'm willing to make that sacrifice for these few years. And then after that. I expect the hundred percent father slash talk about that because last year with the cowboys for your quad tendon. What's keeping you going now. What what is it mean. you don't have to play. No you're you're you could say i'm done what it's been you driving to play another year or two each in love for the game is not gonna you know they're passionate still there and i know how great a shape was in coming into last year First few practices were really good with the cowboys and I just knew something special is going to happen. And i don't believe my time is up and just got so much left. And i think it's bigoted in it. I think i have more or left to give outside of football while i'm in the nfl. So i just is. I'll be able to know. I don't know when this time is not done yet. Your training like a madman days. A week double sessions. I'm either gonna do workouts pilates. Npt or the field something every day twice well you talk about mindset. Mine right maniac. That gerald mccoy epitomizes. That talk about. Gerald is the last five years with the buccaneers and the panthers and then the cowboys and now free agent waiting to get picked up overcoming injuries. Talk about your injuries. And how do you keep your mind right when you're battling serious injuries. Talk about a few of those injuries and high. Keep your mind right about your focus and it can get tough in. Get tough but my faith is a big part of me. It is it is me. It is who i am and what i'm about and I just believe that. God didn't create people to not be successful and he created us to succeed but god never say it is going to be easy and everything's going to be perfect. You're going to have struggles You're going to have tough times and you know there's everybody pretty much everybody has hurt this Bible says guy will never put more unit. You can bear. I don't believe that. What i believe is i will never put more on you than you could bear alone and always believed it through all my struggles. Anything go through guys with me. Always lean on. God and make sure i'm praying and give everything i have back to god and make sure that i don't go through by myself because with all the trials and tribulations that come with this life it is extremely difficult to go through by yourself and i make sure that i don't do that. What those issues that you've had a you've struggled through last few years or so apparently My quad i went to what happened was is i i did my mri and my physical for cowboys and their said did i. Not my quiet was halfway torn. i'm like. I didn't know just thought it was did. Tonight is last year. When i was a carolina add. Prp shot. They manage me and they told me it was ten tonight. "And chargers from last night chargers rookie justin herbert having himself a seasoning looked. Great again is quarterback sneak in overtime helped. The chargers win the raiders however their woes continued they lost derek carr early on replaced by marcus. Mariota was nice to see him in there. You look good look. Good enough raiders. Lose again it's four of five now in the loss column for them with their playoff hopes. All but dead coach. Genie is joining the conversation this morning. Good coach good morning but nick. I want to start with you. This raiders started six and three. They your chiefs. They were rolling what happened. How did this team fall apart. One second just very quickly. I'm happy for marcus. mariota chance. I thought he played well. I in came. Maybe gets an opportunity to compete for a starting quarterback job. It's always conducted himself well in this league and obviously didn't work out in tennessee. So i'm happy for him. Now to the raiders. Nobody likes somebody to say. I told you so. But i told you so. Everyone's like oh nick right and such a hater oh after they lost to the chiefs game on dvd. And everyone. everyone's congratulating the raiders though. They're dangerous they're scary. Oh they've given the chiefs try. They beat them once second done. And what i tell you. They're going to be the best team to miss. The i might be wrong about that. Not even sure. They're better than the vikings so they're going to be one of the best teams to miss the playoffs coach. They have a fancy new stadium in vegas. They haven't read. What fans there next year when fanshawe do you think they'll have one banner for beating the chiefs or two banners for beating the chiefs and almost beating the chiefs a second time as those are the two best moments of the gruden era. I'm not sure because this team has been terrible. Since they played the chiefs the second time some would say the chiefs still their soul. I don't know. I wouldn't go that far but i know their defense stinks their quarterback. Okay and jon. Gruden falls apart in the second half a season. These are things i know. And some of sought coming other people thought. Irina haters happened to the raiders. And do i take joy in the raiders failures. Yeah i do actually quite a bit. Where's that victory now. how about that. Where's your victory lap. Now remember that moment of arrowhead that your

"Have lots of talk about as it relates the cowboys I just what I think of this team this year and the expectations after Jerry Jones finally made the gutting decision that led to Jason Garrett showing up the building every day with a binder underneath his arm and dutifully hoping that he would. Get a stay of execution cowboy fan celebrated not only the draft pick a CD lamb but a coach was skins. Mike McCarthy hasn't exactly translated into the season that they had hoped for, and we're expecting some of it has to do with injuries bobby and we'll get to those in a second but a lot of teams are having to deal with injuries this year. Yeah. I, mean, the team the cowboys have up here the browns they've got a lot of injuries to deal with I. Mean The seahawks had you know a lot of patchwork stuff that they were doing last Sunday against the cowboys and so injuries are an excuse they're not necessarily a good excuse though for this cowboys team I think they, they definitely are missing some guys. They probably feel a little bit like we're not gonNA know who we are for real until probably mid October when randy gets reinstated fully you get hopefully late and vander aeschbacher. Corner start getting healthy so. It may be a situation where the cowboys are kind of you know we're GONNA fight and we're GONNA get as best we can until we get healthy and that's not necessarily an excuse that they're giving. It's just this is the way it's gotta be, and we kind of make do a little bit because they are decimated in the secondary. They've had issues at linebacker they've you know had the issues along the offensive line they lost jar when they're starting tight end and So I, mean they've definitely. Had those issues the thing that they don't want. You, you can't really do anything about injuries. You just adapt as best. You can the thing they don't want his they can't have. Three drops and you know two and a half yards per touch from Zeke Elliott. They can't have Jalen Smith missing tackles consistently and still be sixty million dollar guy they can't have. Dak Prescott turning the ball over. They need to have him protecting the ball. They can't have you know some of these. Occasional Amari Cooper focus drops. You expect injuries you deal with those. What you can have is all of that and then along in the secondary, you can't have guys just making really low I q reads and busted covered just stuff that doesn't seem to be a factor of trying to learn a new defense. This just seems like flat out low I q stuff of not recognizing who's assignment is who's You know I think back to Jalen Smith's comment to a about. Throwing it out through a little bit. Maybe they need to simplify the playbook if our fans aren't familiar with that one, let's play that one real quick. People, find beams the defense could innocent the group. Absolutely. Absolutely. I. Believe. Allowing more allowing US more opportunities to Hound in on what? We're actually going to run in in our game plan. I believe it's important. That each and every player knows in and out what they have to do. With a smaller playbook, you you know gives us better opportunity to do that. And like I said this about as growing each and every week. On coaches are the same page, the players on the same page and we're just trying to do whatever it takes to get that much better. Each and everyone is that players that aren't capable of learning the playbook or is it possibly too complicated? I don't know but I, got to tell you for all the people that wanted Rod. Marinelli Outta here have been overly impressed with Mike Nolan's defense. Again, injuries are an issue, I mean you lose Gerald McCoy loosely Van Deresh. You lose your to starting Corner Anthony Brown, and Lucy, but even they were healthy in that first game. I didn't think this team look that good. No, and you know it's again it's one of those things where not even a mention he's been healthy for the season but Jordan Lewis missed all the camp. I. Sale. Yeah. Exotic Woods was a big part of your problem last Sunday against the seahawks but I think overall everybody's got to step up. You know it's funny. We had Had the funny line during training camp. When asked him do you think about opting out at all and he said, Nope, contract to your baby and there's a lot of guys back there right now in contractors Jordan Lewis Cheeto you've got exertive your woods is another one. And it's fascinating that they're seeming to have these issues not just with again, the adjustment or or or skill players opposite them it's they're just dropping the ball in terms of. Knowing really basic fundamental stuff that that should have been all ironed out already and and you can say, maybe that's a a an issue with you didn't have some of the same lead up time or some of the same work that you would normally get but everybody had those same sort of issues and and not everybody is having these same sorts of just busted coverage touchdowns. I. Think there's four already on the year that were just left wide open by somebody not knowing an assignment including three last week against the

"Yeah, no, you can't you can't. There's there reaches a point as much as we all appreciate Amari Cooper loyalty here and I do think I do want to. Just quickly circling back on that point Amari Cooper told you told the fan told everybody. He loves it here and we heard you know from raiders fans. Wow! He looks like he really loves it there so as much as people want to interpret bad body, language, or or pouting or whatever else Mark Cooper does like it here. Amari Cooper is happy to be here and I think that should squash any sort of questions about. How happy he is to be a Dallas Cowboy, I think he definitely likes being a Dallas Cowboy and I think he definitely likes his teammates. Talk about another guy if this. Get, you excited at all I mean you'll. Sanders I tweeted out into. The cowboys had at least an interest in him. Emmanuel Sanders I'm told very in the cowboys themselves now. We just saw Randall Cobb a slot guy. again has inside and outside flag. He signed last journal one year. Five million dollars deal so I think in order for this to happen. Cowboys do slot guy because keeping my. They've got Michael Gal. Gallo, if I'm not mistaken to go inside and outside as well. Do you have an and Emmanuel. Sanders has done that during his career. He's been able to play and saying that he's probably more inside now, but he has done it so the numbers until eighty but I think it would have to be very similar doing order to make that happen. As it was described to me by a the cowboys, their focus is GonNa be on defense I mean think of the things. Things, they've lost cornerback with Byron, Jones they by at the time of this recording. By the way they did retain Anthony Brown, so that is another name. We haven't talked about yet. That is back years fifteen million dollars so Anthony Brown Dak Prescott Amari Cooper. Those are the guys they've retained to this point. Feel like corner now. You'VE GOT JORDAN LOUIS TO LUCY A Anthony Brown. Which is why you've had. On the WOOZY A and Louis are both hitting the last year. There deals Kinda fascinating I did see this report from Germany Colorado Espn that does mentor font released by the Falcons withdrawing interest from uh, the Redskins and Dallas looking a multi year deal I twenty nine. Did you roll the dice on him? I would be interested in Desmond True Font, just because you know he, he is somebody who is he? He's on the you know on the farther end of the age spectrum again just like Gerald McCoy is, but but these are the type of guys that they roll the dice on. Anyway the cowboys is. Can we get somebody who's you know maybe potentially going to be a value by like? They did with Robert Quinn Michael Bennett and Randall Cobb and they hit on a lot of those last year. Actually so so I think that that falls in line with the type of signings. They typically guys who are maybe. A little bit of a a low by but a high ceiling and one thing to remember there is you know. Who was the defensive coordinator for Desmond True, font, the first two years league. Anymore Mike Nolan so Mike Nolan has experienced with Desmond True Font and has coached him before and so ah. there. There's a connection there, and so it could, but you know as as this is a team that. Has Looked for some veteran leadership. Desmond true fought the guy who's played in the year in the League for seven years our so and has been to a pro bowl. You don't necessarily want to completely sacrifice though in the name of veteran leadership, young legs, and you WanNa. Make sure that these guys are still. able to play at a high enough level that they can play meaningful snaps because the cowboys definitely do need to improve at cornerback, and you know with some of the poor play that they had last year, and then losing their very best corner the dolphins and Byron Jones and what I'll be interested in another name that I'm curious about. Yeah. And happy for that's another guy you know talk about guys that we like and all around. Good guy is Byron, Jones fits that as well. Byron Jones is one of the You know nicer down to Earth. "And I gotTa Tell. Ya We're being transparent. I did have a little bit of a goal crush on his wife. Ida Cobb chemical patent attorney and absolutely stunning Such a great family. And so you know I think the locker and think about it and you can veteran leadership that they're losing Jason Witten Com. I'm glad our voice. Sean Lee comes back from what is it. I think it's eleven. Yeah eleven season He. He missed one for for injury. But yeah eleven years now at the cowboys and I think back to the rams game where they kind of kept playoff hopes alive and and in the locker room I just think back to Jordan Lewis. When asked me to what was it like? See such a great game from Sean Lee and Jordan. Lewis said that's our captain and it didn't matter that he didn't have you know the C patch on his Jersey or anything else. I think that is important. That defense does view Sean Lee as their leader. And that's the guy that they turned to an so routine that seemingly lacked a lot of leadership. I think at times last year and veterans savvy and now losing Randall Cobb and Jason Witten and Jeff Heath. I think it is nice that you're going to be able to at least keep. Sean Lee and place especially with You know still some squishy nece in terms of comments from Stephen Jones and the organization on on win exactly late and vanishes supposed to be ready. Scott love that it is. It is a little bit and A couple of other things Joe McCoy. Let's not overlook finding Mr Pro Bowl himself which I think is funny that you know Gerald McCoy who is like a Rod Marinelli Prototype Rodman. Elliot's often you know fawned over when he gets asked about him and the media. I think it's a little funny slash sad that as soon as Rod Marilyn Mel departs stats when Gerald McCoy finally ends up with the cowboys But yeah he's a six time pro bowler spent his first nine years with the buccaneers. Then he had last year with Carolina. Eight straight seasons of at least five sacks signs a three year eighteen million dollar deal. Mine million guaranteed. He just turned thirty two so he is on the higher end of the age spectrum and it essentially can be a one year deal. They do have some opt-outs options after next season. So I don't know that bringing in jail McCoy necessarily discounts them from looking at interior defensive linemen earlier in the draft. Either it's it's fascinating Let's throw it another name for getting some text messages. Record of a big one we haven't seen yet is Robert Quinn. Leaving to the bears for five or seventy million dollars which is if you'll remember. I know the CAP has grown since. Then but five or seventy million dollars was the deal that Dez. Bryant got the cowboys. You know stressed so much. Finally you know putting pen to paper on and so Robert Quinn got a sizable amount of money A lot of guys getting paid here. You Know Robert Quinn. Goes Randall. Cobb ME Collins Jason Witten Jeff Heat that trio head to Oakland to Las Vegas with the raiders and the Big One Byron Jones. So the cowboys could be in line for some bigger Complex when this is all sudden depending on on the guys that they sign he got paid bolden he. Yeah no you can't you can't there. There reaches a point as much as we all appreciate. Amari cooper loyalty here and I do think I do want to just quickly circling back on that point. "For them, which we sort of seen within it. I WANNA moved on to I. Mean Let's just look at some of the clients that he I mean he's got. Golden Tate he had he. Just had Joe Bro he he signed. Signed the he was the one who negotiated a couple of years ago. The market setting deal known he was the one who roots negotiated the marketing. Matt Ryan was one of his guys and Matt Ryan got the the top marketing deal for quarterbacks when he signed, and so it's definitely he's somebody and we played that audio you remember before where he talked about negotiating or getting Fletcher Cox Cox's negotiation done with the eagles. The Eagles are pressuring Fletcher Cox to Sign Todd France talked about flying in meeting up with Fletcher Insane. You know the team that benefits. Benefits from this deal is trying to tell you take it. Take it take it. Why would they take? Take take it if it's a great deal for you and and talked about you know kind of how tough they got that. It was a gamble that he said ended out netting them. You know thirty plus million dollars guaranteed money by waiting when they did and so he's not afraid to do this. and He of course is the representative for Joey Bosa Bosa was one of the more famous in recent years. Rookie holdouts because things weren't you know quite up to their liking in terms of language in the contract and so? Todd France has been known to to play hard ball and it's something I think the cowboys just. New they didn't want to necessarily deal with especially with the most important contract negotiation that they had it's not. It's not all gloom, though, because, because Dak Prescott. Well that still hanging out there they they did exclusively franchise him, so he is GonNa be here next year, and they locked up cooper despite a reportedly late push from the Washington redskins and reports out there saying that it was lots more money than the cowboys ended up signing and four or five years hundred, million and sixty million guaranteed. You surprised at all that that's the route. Amari decided to say he apparently decided to go for the cowboy brand or the comfortability. You know how comfortable he was with the cowboys over the loads of money that Washington apparently was offering him. Actually live in new coach. Ron Rivera but Our Boy Orlando's drake once told me or told someone close to them that related to me until you are very different. In Washington it is great to be a Dallas Cowboy with player and everything that comes with it. I think what I appreciate about. Amari Cooper of his word. When he told me that the pro bowl that he didn't see himself going anywhere else. In fact, listen to this interview. You want to be back in Dallas. Hardly Dallas. needs to be a player. To have the opportunity to play on continuing. Basically changes and stuff like that. And then they wouldn't. Listen. I love being a Dallas Cowboy I love everything about it. I was just thinking about that today. I think about it almost every day. Really you know just. Primetime Games I play. More Games than anybody in that always feels good football player The facility I love it here for school. I said now. just the are van. Dallas Cowboy can't beat it so. I WANNA be a Dallas Cowboy for life, so he basically told us he's sticking around. But as you know money changes, everything We certainly saw that with Randall Cobb. I I thought rental car until leaving first of all I mean. He played on a one year five million dollar deal, and when you just think of what Randall COBB did last year I mean there are people that questions about his production whether he still had it, and then he ended up with fifteen point yards per catch in one season, fifty five passes for eight, hundred twenty eight yards and then. This was the guy I just I just thought was. Such a glue in the locker room, and you know my sources in Houston told me the reason why they loved him with that. He's smart player that they is the inside outside left for them. And this thing came together pretty quick. If you weren't familiar with the terms to deal three years twenty seven million dollars that cowboys. We're not going to pay Randall COBB. No? No, we're close and he. He was guy. Not only you mentioned the eight hundred yards, or whatever? That was the guy who I i. don't know if people remember a. he had some hard luck to with penalties taken off about another two hundred yards on the board. He was had unusually bad luck with. Illegal motion or holding plays the that took away. For in this season, so he he was definitely a a top. You know tears slot receiver for them this past year, and as you mentioned a great Glue Guy Absolutely one of my favorite people. I've run into in that locker room. In terms of just as professionalism and total gentleman, and and not to mention a and I say this married man, the most beautiful is you'll ever see randall talk they are. They are gorgeous. You get lost in those is. And I gotTa Tell Ya. We're being transparent I. Did have a little bit of a goal crush on his wife Ida, Cobb chemical, patent, attorney, and absolutely stunning Such a great family, and so I think the locker, and think about it and can veteran leadership. They're losing Jason Witten Com I'm glad our Voice Sean Lee comes back from what is it? I think it's love and Steve. Eleventh season, he he missed one for for injury, but yeah eleven years now at the cowboys and I think back to the rams game where they kind of kept playoff hopes alive and and in the locker room. I just think back to Jordan Lewis when asked me to? What was it like? See such great game from Sean Lee and Jordan Lewis said. That's our captain and it didn't matter that he didn't. Have you know the C Patch on his Jersey or anything else I think that is important. That defense does view Sean Lee as their leader, and that's the guy that they turn to and so routine. That seemingly lacked a lot of. Leadership, I think at times last year and Veterans Savvy. And now losing Randall Cobb and Jason Witten and Jeff Heath I. Think it is nice that you're going to be able to at least keep Sean. Lee and place especially with You know still some squishy nece in terms of comments from Steven Jones and the organization on on win exactly late and vanishes supposed to be ready. Scott love that it. It is a little bit. and. a couple of other things Joe McCoy. Let's not overlook finding. Miss Your Promo themselves which I think is funny that you know. Gerald, McCoy who is like a Rod Marinelli Prototype Rodman. Elliot's often you know fond over when he gets asked about him and the media. I think it's a little funny. Slash Sad. That Rod Marilyn Mel Depart Stats when Gerald, McCoy finally ends up with the cowboys A A six time. Pro Bowler spent his first nine years with the buccaneers. Then he had last year with Carolina, eight straight seasons of at least five sacks. Signs a three year eighteen million dollar deal mine million guaranteed. He just turned thirty two, so he is on the. Higher end of the age spectrum, and it essentially can be a one year deal. They do have some opt-outs options after next season, so I don't know that bringing in jail. McCoy necessarily discounts them from. Looking at interior defensive linemen earlier in the draft either. It's it's fascinating Let's throw it another name. throws getting CENTREX. Record this of a big one. We haven't yet is Robert Quinn leaving. To the bears for five or seventy million dollars which. Is If you'll remember I know. The CAP has grown since then, but five or seventy million dollars was the deal that Dez Bryant got the cowboys. You know stressed so much finally you know putting pen to paper on and so Robert Quinn got a sizable amount of money. a lot of guys getting paid here, you know. Robert Quinn goes Randall. COBB ME, Collins. Jason Witten Jeff Heat that trio head to Oakland to Las Vegas with the raiders and the big. "Before last summer and tact for years onto it, they could have set the market at quarterback in all phases with essentially deal. That was five. Hundred thirty two million, and like one hundred and one million guaranteed now in order to set the market at those figures, it have to be something even more would have to be more like you know four years. And I believe it's one hundred forty million dollars or one, hundred forty one million dollars, and then the guaranteed money would have to be at least one hundred and eleven, and so everything's jumped up and so that's the thing. Is that by putting this off your costing yourself more and more money and you know this is all these are figures that we're talking about setting the market before. The potential deals this off season the extensions this off season. Get done for guys like you know deshaun. Watson. And Patrick Mahomes that are gonNA. Push up! DAX numbers even more even if it's not. Going over top of them the higher that they set the market higher. The media's going to which Dakhil beyond below them and so. I, I do think that it should have been a priority. I do think that I was talking to somebody within League circles about this recently, and they said there's no doubt. That, the cowboys misplayed this that Amari Cooper in dot, Prescott were the the guys that you had to get done given the timetable, and it wasn't any sort of surprise, and instead you got done Jalen Smith and Zeke Elliott who you still had control over, and so it was kind of bizarre the way they prioritize things and I think it was an attempted hardball. I guess or to try and move those guys and in the I. Think it has kind of. On the cowboys especially since? You know I remember last off season. Let me me. Ask you this. If, we are, she believes. My sources that say they offer that Prescott. Contract that they felt good about. It was above the Jared Goff deal How are they supposed to go? I mean for myself and. How many how many I mean, is that not studying the market in some respects I mean we will you and I have talked about this that you know when it comes down to it setting the market at or above, Jared Goff like that could mean any number of things that could mean you know. We gave him more money per year than Jared Goff got which tier got about thirty three and a half, so that would be giving back thirty four, but okay if you're coming in at. One. Hundred million dollars on the guaranteed money. That's significantly below jared goff. and. I think again where. They're confusion is or some confusion might be is. As we've discussed. It seems more the logistical. Years! With listeners to guarantee money on golf was one hundred. It basically came out to be about one hundred and ten million dollars. Okay, so there were essentially a. let's see so what? Eleven twelve, thirteen, fourteen million. yeah, I I made, but basically the the bigger deal would be I. think is not the money, even if they've matched all the golf figures, it doesn't sound like Dacca's going to sign anything that matches all the golf figures. If it's the wrong years, and that's something that you know when jared. Goff signs a four year extension that becomes a six year deal. Okay, because he has two years left on. On his rookie deal with the cowboys can't work from that framework any longer than they can't say that. This is about new money brand new contracts starting from Ground Zero and the cowboys in that negotiating position have kind of put themselves there, and so I do think that it's tough to view this in any other way other than the cowboys kind of got a little too cute and maybe flubbed it. Or you can be cute and the Dak. Prescott, because here's something interesting. Things George. NFL Research Department. What I loved about this as that franchise tag only been used on eight quarterback. Mark. Only. Two of them have played on it. You WanNa name the two. Kirk cousins is one I know that. It twice! Yes, that is that. Are we counting him twice as the two, or is there a second one? Well there's a county. There is a second one a second one. Okay? Then I would I'm trying to remember I maybe blanket here. A was that Alex Smith or somebody? Drew brees you five in San Diego? That was. Thank you so much money. His made. Franchise Tag. Sure. Not just on the franchise tag made big money on the franchise tag for two years, and then got short term deals just got another extension on that short term deal and look how that played out for Washington to you had to make several traits for case, keenum and Alex Smith, and then you know, get Dwayne Haskins and all of a sudden are. Are you not sure about Dwayne Haskins. And and you see what kind of messes left behind from trying to get cute with kirk cousins, the redskins dead, and the Vikings ending out feeling good enough to say hey, we're going to extend again. We're GONNA put some more years on this and so I. Think actually the best case we can look at that. Point, it's like don't cry for me like. Short sure. And all the way to yeah, just like a just like delighted de la was you know de la took the cash from the franchise tag and it was big money on his pocket. He's not you know crying about having that money, but you know it is more the respecting. You know I think at the end of the day. It's like yes, the money's bigger but. It does come down. Obviously financial security and you can argue that you know Dallas Cowboys quarterback. He's thought x amount of money and endorsement deals Blah Blah Blah can about your side hustle i? Don't like I'm a problem sort of like factoring that in all things right now unless you're giving me a deal. What Jalen where I got clear I view In your shop by I mean does it does Aaron doesn't Aaron Rodgers hurt for endorsements in a market like Green Bay. The reaches a point when you are nationally recognized quarterback, and you're in the top of your field. The endorsement argument will only go so far anyway. Because nationally recognized quarterbacks, they'll.

"Let's a reset kind of where the cowboys are at and the rest of the League here is free. Agency got underway this week. Well, of course, the main course was dot. FRUS got getting the Franchise Tag. The Franchise tag on Monday right that what came down like an hour before right by up Not entirely shocking given the. Nature of the talks you know we were at? Combine Jones told us that they table the talks and September because both were sort of digging To their position and we've talked all along the position so much the money, obviously about important, but it's been the leaf of the contract cowboys. I've been told of leaned more towards five six years. DOC wants to four years that he can go out there on renegotiate another annual salary and guaranteed money here in four years. When he thinks that obviously he'll be at its peak and. He has the potential of resetting market again. What did you think about strategy? Well? I was most interested in the fact that. As, you said not so much surprise that Dak was the one who got the franchise tag, but the deck out the franchise tag and didn't have anything in place with Amari Cooper by the time free agency started, and that was I felt like a little bit of a risk but overall. I think that franchising franchise tagging. Dak was the right move I do think it's a little funny and shows I think how shortsighted sometimes people can be on both sides in negotiations like this in that because you're starting from scratch because this isn't an extension. You are going to have to you know basically start with whatever the contract is. That's the length of the contract. It's not like Ezekiel Elliott. Extension and that's actually becomes an eight year. Contract tacked onto his two years of his rookie deal, so if Dak was asking for a four year extension, cowboys are wanting to have him locked in for five years. I don't know why they just didn't you know, get the four year extension on when he still had a year left on his rookie contract, and it becomes a five year. Deal essentially but. They of course I think wanted to have some of their questions answered about him heading into this final year of his rookie deal and I think he answered a lot of them with the way that he performed. And, so that's probably where they would stand on that. In terms of why it didn't get done when it got done, but it does feel like we're. Not Splitting hairs probably isn't the right term, but it. It does feel like they're quibbling over something that I feel like is not an impossible hurdle to get done before the July fifteenth deadline so i. do think that it's just a matter of time before Dax deal gets done, and he's locked in here for the long term with the cowboys. The is with that and here's. Why if they want completely all on that? They would have talked on the other tags right the cheaper tag that would allowed run in France to go out there test the market, and if the cowboys were really not entirely sold, they would've gotten two first round picks right. They don't do that instead. They went with them. More expensive. London of course is GONNA probably end up anywhere between thirty one and a half and thirty three million dollars is what I was told. Multiple things shakes out. and for people I learned a little bit something weeks. All Pass it on to you. Not. Franchise tag number comes down with they take the top five quarterback week their annual salaries and they average it together and dot is how they come up with that that that number so. They're gonNA. Have to look at obviously you know. Just came in where some of those numbers Iraq and that total from the dock numbers what I was told Yeah, and so there is a general range the that we're pretty sure of but I think regardless. As much as people have said well whatever the franchise tag being that's going to be the floor for Dak negotiations and gotTa as you said I think the the money seems like they're all kind of in the same ballpark. This didn't feel like You know with Ezekiel Elliott and. demarcus Lawrence contract in recent years where it seemed like there were real fights over the actual dollar figures. This feels like more kind of an administrative or logistical aspect of the negotiation that they're into now, but it definitely is an important one because the deal still hasn't gotten done yet, and it's something that neither one of them seems to want to cede on at this point, but I, I do think that given the cowboys history of negotiations and. where I think it kind of gets pushed up to the last second, and eventually I don't WanNa. Say Cave, but I mean they eventually get it done, and you know demarcus. Lawrence gets what he wanted and Zeke got what he wanted and a few years back. Dez Bryant got what he wanted, and so I feel like at the end of the day. This is probably heading four the four year deal that duck wants it to be. I agree with that I guess my big thing. Is You know why the hold up? Why make this thing acrimonious? US might not get the Sun now granted. They had to wait for the CBA, in order to sort of see what the money looks like. So, there is that element to it. Confused. Here's what I think is the risk body? He knew we're seeing this already with Mike McCarthy and is rushing. Things are are different. There's not a lot of loyalty if you look at Jason Witten. Only on. Robert. Quinn gone then. They're like you know Byron Jones I thought was. Most interesting I know. He was like a huge Jason Garrett Guy Jackie. Collins Randall COBB. Out, the door. Right so. If Mike and Jack don't show in the first year and let's say cowboys don't have a great he's in. Cowboy on the Cheetah Franchise targeted again. But they can also say you know what we're gonNA move on it. Is that so. I. That's a good question but I. I think. Yes There seems to be an opening there, but I. I do think that I would say. That's the least likely outcome and I think you agree with. At least likely outcome would be that This turns so acrimonious that you know by the time things then next year. Everybody's better and it ends in in some sort of a divorce I think that's probably the least likely option. It's not zero percent I guess but it is something that. I think as close as they feel. They are generally, and and they do because you know they wouldn't have gone out and last year made the deal for Robert Quinn. They wouldn't have made the midseason trade for Michael Bennett if they think like they had a window here were maybe a guy could push him over the edge, and so I think as close as they are. They couldn't see them wanting to reset the most important position on the field I don't. Quite, frankly but you asked me last summer I said that I got his line item number London, He. And then it was completely thrown out, it was. Deep Amari deck I asked you this question. Would you have done back last summer and held off on? Zeke I mean I think. Oh. Absolutely, would I mean look we can debate the? Wisdom of long-term, locking in with a running back in today's hell, I personally would have let Zeke's contract play out. I wouldn't have. Gotten an extension done. But in terms of Dak Prescott Yeah I. think that if you look at I I made this point on twitter recently that if if the cowboys would have signed him to an extension. Before last summer and tact for years onto it, they could have set the market at quarterback in all phases with essentially deal. That was five. Hundred thirty two million, and like one hundred and one million guaranteed now in order to set the market at those figures, it have to be something even more would have to be more like you know four years. "Coming up next on the menu. Some big names TC something on Gerald McCoy, though, something on Big Ben little something on Julio. Jones, something on Peyton Manning. So does a big time football, the forties, coming up next on Tiki and Tierney this'll be big time as well. We've had him on the show before Michael Thompson thirteen years in the NBA, including five with the Lakers, obviously, part of the broadcast team. And he has been out there for a while doing TV and radio. So he's a big time or LA is son sharpshooter terrific player champion clay. We got a lot to hit with Michael Thompson. Michael, welcome back to Tiki and Tierney. How are you today? Much better. Not relaxed yet, still got four more Wednesday. Yet still stress the way you used to. That's awesome really every every year because favorites to win it ever. Yes. Extra stress on T knows our position to win the Super Bowl favorite. Yeah. Opposed to deliver a major failure. That's a great point because it's been so long five years in a row. The Golden State Warriors. We'll get to them in a second. But we got to start with your old team. We were just talking about it the LA Lakers. I mean, it's been a long nine years, I believe the last time that they've been in the conversation isn't Kobe was still there. What do you make of a call? It dysfunction. It may be less than that. But the dysfunction that's surrounding this team right now. Everybody like you Tiki seems to forgive and magic retired. It's like eight or nine years to get back on top Koby shack showed up, so, like gone through a dry spell before it's just that now we've got shows like yours twenty four seven, you got everybody logging got twenty while coverage on cable, or by talking about twenty four hours a day. So you can't get arrests. But like had the dry periods before just go through a dry spell right now. But maybe this summer, you'll bounce back within a big rage and signing good draft pick, who can deliver right away, LeBron still around and the young guys will be better from and they were last year. So I seem to be back in the playoff mix next season. I appreciate the optimism of respectfully disagree. And the one reason I would disagree Michael just to tell you where I'm coming from here. Yeah. There were other notable down cycles. There's no doubt the Yankees have gone through that the Celtics all the great teams it is what it is natural the tradition. Rosters change stated league. But the one bash. Chian at the helm of the Lakers was Dr bus. And now it just seems, you know ownership is a very fickle thing. You could have the same last name, and just not be nearly as effective. I'm not saying genie's terrible by any stretch, but I do believe she's starting to make some states that her dad would not have made that that's why my confidence is not as strong as yours right now. Well unfair to compare Jeanie or any team older today to Dr bus. The greatest team on in the history of sport. Any or ten championships under his leadership. So it's just not genie. No owner in the sports talk about. Yeah. No, that's a good point. What do you make of what what's happening with Mike with magic and his exit? We knew that he was there temporarily and I'm defending magic because I think that he got put putting a very difficult situation. But what do you make of, of magic? And what is his relationship going forward with the team going to be like, all no problem with that magic resigning? The only thing I would balking for told genie you. The down only thing, but if he feels like he was not able to carry out his duties inside the horse and make final decisions. Only answer the genie magic didn't have he didn't need this job. He's a man is an entrepreneur of billionaires got a man of the businesses. So he did not need this job. He was doing this trying to bring the Lakers back to, to resurgence. So I could see him moving on because. Okay. If I don't have final word. Final word is business as well. Just move on. We're talking to Michael Thompson, formulate your center, thirteen years playing the NBA and Prickett player as well stats for their played at Minnesota and say the Tiki before we had said that must have been brutal grown up in the Bahamas going to Minnesota. What the heck why did you go to like Miami or something? But it Minnesota my what why don't you go there? Well, you're right to be only negative thing about Minnesota is the weather obviously the winning. But the people were so nice. But then at the time was a great conference. All the other good of chamber of commerce stuff was mini. I think he knows the twin cities of beautiful area with is, but you right, it, hey, beside you. I'm not a I'm not like a what a what do you call it a like Tiki? Yeah. That's what we play offs for indoor to win it. Boy, that's a good point. You got to put on the short sleeves and act like your tough when it's when it's twelve degrees outside right? You know, Michael help us give some perspective on how hard a job rob Pelinka has I'm trying to think of agent, that's ever become like a GM buyers in an organization Mars is a good one. Yeah. You're right. He's done a heck of a job with the with the Golden State Warriors, but how hard of a job is that transition to make? And it's probably, I don't know it just feels like an odd choice not about really the game. He played in a high level at Michigan was the five five so he knows the basketball is all about been around the game forever and Kobe tight. So you understand the game. So he could do a good job. He's got to give him time. He's already the right right way by getting him. And magic draft of all the young guys on the team got a chance to drive another good one. So sometimes not everybody's gonna be Jerry West overnight. A little patience. Hey, since nineteen patients. Michael, come on now. You know, you gotta you gotta let it grow organically, like the warriors wars, and turn to the war is over and play dream on three years ago. Now that's true. That's your, and they brought into veterans and I remember when Steph was drafted, and then Claes, well, but Monte yellows was still there. They had to sift through some internal dynamics, and it was right. It doesn't happen overnight. But as you also know, when there's a certain logo on that chess with all due respect to the warriors. Now in twenty years, we might have this expectation the warriors, because of what your son and his teammates, creating, but the Lakers logo is going to get a lot of different just different, you know, run and different energies than some of the other franchises. But I want to ask you, Michael why? Because you went to this before, why are you so confident, and I'm sure also hopeful that the Lakers will land that big time in the summer because I don't see it happening could be wrong. I don't see it happen to the why do you see that happening? Anyway, though guarantee that they are obviously about six or seven guys that come in here and take. Get to the next level, along with the brand, of course. And I'm sure the Lakers have their eyes on maybe two or three guys mainly as plant eight and I have confidence that they can land of one of, you know, we all know who the names are on the case that are out there. We all know they are. I think I, I have confidence that the league will sell the Laker vision to one of those guys. So, and if it doesn't happen, well, there's always next year when a couple other big names will come up. In the meantime, just sign guys on short term deal and given good health. We'll be right back in the playoff picture. That doesn't mean we'll be the, the favorites to knock off the warriors mock. Yeah. But they will be able by call. Don't you think there's more urgency given LeBron's age? I know that you, you don't wanna sign the wrong guy. So it's probably the prudent thing to do to kick it down the road for year and actually get the right guy. I hear you. But the bronze twenty-seven he's almost thirty five. You gotta get that guy now. Yeah. No question about it. We wanna do it next year because of the bronze age of thirty five. So, yeah. Definitely, some, the we, we, we have like a two or three year, window hitter, getting dumb everybody understands that the five case. K. D kawai. Clay. Click, which brings just to clay and your your salary. Cook. I want to find the three ks. That's a very very good player. But you'll let's brings us to your son clay in the Golden State Warriors. I mean it's unbelievable. This run that they've been on five straight years. We talked we've talked all week about K D not being around. And if feels like this is the Golden State Warriors team that won that first hampions ship there so much energy and ball movement. Obviously, some some, some clutch knockdown shooting, but do they feel vulnerable to you? They were down by double digits in. All three know they won all three but they were down to the Portland trailblazers. They were just a better team. They feel vulnerable at all. Yes, they desperately miss Kevin, no matter even though they've gone for this four game run without Kevin, they desperately or is it six games without Kevin, they desperately need help, because they miss his men around the basket, and this is a person to Leon defense and MRs rebounding talking about the best player in the game fell of they miss him a need him on the walkie and they can do both. They can keep the wall movement moving. And again, I so Kevin, when he's got to go. And so it's the best of both worlds that the warriors will have when Kevin comes back. So yes, they desperately need him to win the championship one hundred percent agree. But Michael, what is the key in an era, where it's very easy to be consumed by one's own brand. I'm sure a lot of it is how they're raised. And how you raise clay and how the Curry's late race Steph. So I might even be answering it there. But how is it possible for team in twenty nineteen to be? So at least seemingly without ego. Because these guys understand they're all mature. They also fashionable. They understand the more we win the more rewards are gonna come to them off the court and endorsements and sponsorships and with winning comes recognition. We all know the Kevin Durant. They're back player is right there shoulder to shoulder with him, but rain on and clay, and Andrei, and all the rest of the guys are going to get their, their share the rewards to. I mean, because they're at the warriors these guys got to go play golf at Augusta. All these things come out you because you're a win on your champion and they understand that doesn't mean they've got gotta be built being guide. But everybody's everybody's gonna eat. Everybody's gonna get a nice chunk of that guy. Yeah, you're right now, the main question in the last one will ask before we let you go, because we gotta bounce as well as is your son, going to be a amongst that, that core for the years to come and always a free agent. You say the negotiations don't need to really happen, because it is what it is. It's all slotted but is he planning on being a warrior for the foreseeable future? Well, according..

"Every year in the NFL. It's a new team. As far as goals. Go. We have one. Putting a fucker Renata finger. Welcome to the buccaneers observant podcasts. Ralph Phillips today is may seventh two thousand nineteen one hundred and twenty days to get off. That's like four months next month's. It'll be less than one hundred as anybody that when it gets down to like double digits. We were excited for me. The season starts win hard knocks comes on that seems to be when football really gears up. They announced they're doing yet. All right. We got some interesting enough to talk about I I want to get some follow ups. In fact, Jack's we'll have to follow ups. One is Molly asked me what my conspiracy theory is. Well, I with and I looked at the top thirty conspiracy theories. They consist of Kim trails gloomy more global warming is a hoax. They viruses created in a laboratory harp. H AARP h AARP plastic coffins concentration camps. Anything about that one to two thousand four Indian Ocean soon. Nami Florida Asian and flight one zero three Philadelphia experiment Pearl Harbor peak oil conspiracy the protocols the Zahn never heard that one. Harold Wilson was a Soviet agent black or unmarked helicopters, the Moscow apartment bombings Gye, seven two thousand five two bombings. Paul is dead the disappeared so sugar. Shakespeare was somebody else. I have heard that one. Yeah. Let's never even heard on. We're just not up on the conspiracy. Need to watch more Alex Jones, I guess North American union project in K ultra odd concern that was proven fact operation north woods. Elvis Presley faked his own death, Princess, Diana Princess of Wales the Jesus conspiracy the aluminum body and the new world order NASA faked the moon landings a flying saucer crashed at Roswell in nineteen forty seven the assassination of John F Kennedy and September eleventh two thousand one those are all the top thirty conspiracy theories now. Now, my theory is everybody believes in at least one conspiracy theory in Mali copy by asking me. What was mine, I didn't know. But I do now the peak oil conspiracy. What does that? But that saying that we already hit peak oil, and everybody's kind of hoarding their oil waiting for the markets, the crash oil markets, and then there's going to be big global fighting over the oil and all that good stuff says I'll tell you think though. No. I don't think that I think the exact opposite. We have more especially with the shale revolution here in America. We've got enough oil just in America for the next heart and fifty years easy. So I do not believe wait a minute. Yes. I did that exactly wrong. In any of these now. No was I thought of you know, what global warming is believe that one. So they're they're doing all that for that. I thought I had the peak all conspiracy down. But now, I didn't believe in that the exact opposite. Yeah. Okay. Now the follow up. Molly was right Rojo had twenty three carries. Joe? Type. Ronald hose and twenty three carries in two thousand eighteen for a total of forty four yards and one touchdown. I don't remember touchdown. I don't either as long as care was nine yards in the averaged one point nine yards per tempt. Now, he was targeted nine times and had seven receptions for thirty three yards. I remember him not catching Arlene. But that's not to barely caught. Most of the ones that are on his way seven out of nine that's really strange because all you ever hear is how he can't can't anything. The obviously can catch conspiracy theories. Conspiracy theory that road Joe does not catch passes, but he caught seven out of nine and install. Yeah. I listen to Rick Strauss podcast the other night. And he was pretty funny talked about the pingpong controversy. I've got an article coming up on the website pingpong gate. So keep an eye out for that. But he really broke down about why it's silly for people to be harping on the ping pong table. But what really impressed me about it? But other than his argument was a guy disparate good impersonations. He does a perfect Gruden impersonation. I actually thought they had cut in some Gruden talking audio. He here for grooten. I don't know. I have to check if all of that. I think so if you haven't listened to check it out extra podcast, I think it was Friday, it's pink controversy. So agreed. It's stupid. You have to check more clouds here. So in all I think that the fans want punishment they want they don't wanna see these guys. Haven't flown the family put in a lot of stuff to be a fans, we buy jerseys. We buy. Tickets. We buy paraphernalia. We spent hours and hours watching the teams talking about the teams that we don't get anything retard it will compensated it when they lose and they're playing and laughing and all that rightfully so make pan pants upset. Now, they don't have just a ping pong table in the locker. They've got right down the hall in the players lounge. They've got a pool table video games all kinds of stuff. So external argument was if you take it out of the blocker room that's gonna stop. I mean, they're still going to go to the players lounge play, you know, it's not gonna plus plenty of teams have ping pong tables a near locker rooms, apparently Seahawks coach Carroll p Carroll. Yeah. He started this whole mess. And now teams the falcons have it Jaguars. Having did have it until Coughlin came in there and took it out. But some teams have it. And they are winners teams haven't they're losers. Like a falcons their bottom of the division with us. So it's not a guaranteeing. Having a big table doesn't correlate to winning or losing. But my point is, you know, we're we talk about holding teams accountable holding players accountable coaches cab, all that mess. Sometimes we confused between accountability and Justice. And I think fans see the ping pong table as a punishment take the ping pong table out because these guys don't deserve to be goofing off. And that's what I think reached out missing. You know, this is about a fans. This is about players does there's some really good points. Thank you reborn. I haven't put a lot of thought into bet. I don't think it should be at the locker room. I think it you have to think about the mentality of that space. It's like the same reason that they tell you not to put a TV in your bedroom. When you because it makes your bedroom a place where you want TV non-pleased where you're sleeping really cutting to your sleep point. And there's all kinds of things in your house that you can do to change your life on your habits in your so good point rewrite article. There's a whole bunch going on with Jerry McCoy JP. We're going to get to that general McCoy and put on a video on his Instagram the other day, we're basically he was saying don't question me. I'm working hard later. He said don't you ever question me? I found it kind of ridiculous. You know, this is this is the McCoy wave seeing furred nine years. You know, he talks a lot of stuff during the off season. I'm going to be the leader put the team on bag where we're practicing the win. We're going to play offs as you stuff. And they went the regular season comes you never hear from begin. You know, he's not saying any of that. And that's what I see here. I wish he was like that all the time out there on the field beaten, his Jessen. Don't question me. But that's not the general. We'll get into season. I liked to see him. Take verse sponsor -bility for the losing in the same way. JP, Dan, we have very few people in the locker room not saying this is on us. We have to do better. This is true. That's again, it goes back to that accountability. Right. Another strange thing found with this whole dare McCoy saga. I mean, we don't know what's going to happen. We don't know the mindset, I'm of the painting is just speculation from what I know about Bruce Arians, and he doesn't like McCoy leadership style, especially as a veteran. So he's of the mindset, let's get rid of jerem McCoy, you know, plus, that's that's a pretty big salary for a guy. That's getting thick tax. I mean, Masseev got six X a half. I think and you know, he didn't play as much Jerry McCoy, and he's not getting paid near as much as job. Of course. So I could I could see Bruce Arians where his mindset would be totally different than the previous coaches. We've had in you. However, what's really freaking me out about all? This is how the media is just downright defending Dermot coy, and they will harass anybody that is against McCoy's questions. Jerem coin I find that very strange because I don't think that's the job of the media. You know, all these guys that are reporting on the buck near their job to try convince fans that certain players need to stay on the team. Right. And that's all we've gotten especially after the end of the season because that's when jerem McCoy in the locker room and sounded like he was preparing for his last game with the team. And then you got all these puff pieces about him. Oh my gosh. There's there's five articles of day written about how great Dermot goal is. And how he needs to stay on. Team. Right. And it's all basically concentrated with the local media in Tampa. Now, I can understand if they did this routinely. If they did it with keep to leave or one or with just Freeman they kind of did they took his side over Greg Xiang does. But even Jameis Winston or any other player, I've never seen anything like this. Where all the media is just totally unified in aspect tear McCoy is a good player. Why the best players have ever had? And he needs to stay on the team. No matter what. And here's why. And now come out with all these obscure stats superb. That's the big six, which we all know pro bowls popularity contest. So why do you think that is do you have an opinion on that with that's done this before that, it's certainly an access media? Where they're not doing a lot of hard hitting reporting or digging. It's whoever gives them access that's kind of where their stories tend to go. I think McCoy is he gives good sound bites. He's comfortable in front of a camera. He likes to talk. And so the media's attracted to them because it's not like it's pulling teeth to try to get information out of them or a very savvy. I mean, he's been on Stephen Colbert Howdy. Buccaneers players can be saying have been on a nationally televised production like that I agree with you. And you said the phrase access media. I think that's what it is. And of course, this is all speculation. But it seems to me in most of the guys in the media have said at one point or another that there's not a microphone Joe McCoy doesn't like in like you pointed out to he's been very good at marketing himself being on Stephen Colbert and all the NFL shows and other good stuff, and he seems to be able to middle. How do talking? Points and get sound bites out there. It's like the being bell teamed. That was Jerry McCoy started that I have the exact day. But I don't have it with me. Hold on one second. I can't find it. But somewhere in I wanna say two thousand twelve or two thousand thirteen Gerald McCoy started mentioning that he got double teamed all the time. And then the media started picking up on that. And if you if you notice back, and you watch their McCoy's interviews and his press clippings and stuff like that. He always brings out that he's being double teamed him doing and in the media has followed along and said that he's being double team if you the website, you can lock many years. I did charting on who was getting double teamed on the defensive line because somebody always double team we're in a four and three guys online. There's five on offense line style. Somebody someone. Seventeen. Yes. And your was double team. No more than anybody else. And it was not that often. It was less than twenty percent of the time. And I even changed the way I looked at it. I started off doing double teams are I consider a double team win two linemen. Two more alignment specifically single out a person to block, then I changed it because I was getting around ten percent. Double teams have probably even less than that. I don't have my notes up right now. But it was way down there on McCoy. So then I switched to Zini time to offense lineman touched Gerald McCoy or anybody else on the defensive line. And it still didn't change the stats moved them up to around thirty percents twenty twenty-five percent somewhere in there. But everybody on the difference while it was getting those same numbers dare McCoy started pushing the double team. And then it was the media that followed along behind him and started pushing that narrative he did something similar with the stunt center, Xiang. If you remember, yes. See he's complaining that overdue into many stunts the problem. And then he said I went to Greg Xiang now, and I spoke with him, and we're gonna less stunt Royd than exactly right after that. Nothing changed. I studied that game film to see how we changed the starts or reduced. We actually increased the stunts and Jemma quite did stance before cion over Kane, always both and similar rate. Always McCoy's always done some ever since he's been here. She had so different kinds of stuff. So they win there. But he didn't do any more than lovey Smith in it up doing or cutters administration. Anybody stunt just part of the team. And it's something McCoy is always done. So is good at working with the media, and they seem to marry much like working with Jeremy McCoy we have mentioned about Scott Reynolds. I think it was the Peter report who got he wrote an article that was negative towards Jeremy Koi a few years ago. Actually called him up on his cell phone inhaling. Correct. The article and retract it. So why would you do as a journalist because I think they're scared of losing access to Gemma cool because he is so open. He will talk to. I mean, he's on the podium all the time in the locker room. They always talk to Gerald McCoy. He's he's guaranteed article writer, you get an article out of Gerald McCoy fan favorite as a fan favorite click on these articles just because of his name. Yes. And then you have the national media or the broadcasters will the hypo- jerem McCoy during the game. Yeah. He's got name recognition one because he's been on the clean for so long to because he was such a high draft pick for us, right? And he's likes dichotomy of dedom- consume. Yeah. And he is McLean is what the NFL wants to see as far as character is concerned in the NFL clean, very clean, very, family oriented and all that stuff. And I love that about coy. But I think that. The media is doing disservice to the fans by trying to make fans feel guilty and feel bad about having increases journal. There's plenty criticism. Be had about your cloud about his game. His game play is not perfect. There's plenty of things you could say about Jarrell game play that is critical. But you don't ever get that from the media and then fans to it? They're considered Jeremy Koi haters and their land blasted is Twitter today and yesterday, it's just near-constant. There's people on both sides of the aisle. Unfortunately, the bucks media is on one side, they're unequivocally the only the only one I know that criticizes Gerald McCoy. And he doesn't relentlessly is Ian Beckles, and he's the only one that doesn't have doesn't have anything to do with getting access to one buck place. He's a total. He's an objective outside person. Even though he did play for the buccaneers for many years. He doesn't seem to have. He's not there for the media Vance and. Locker room, it doesn't require access. And I would also like to point out a podcast not too long ago. A few months, maybe put out by the Peter report guys they or joking about something or maybe it might have been Joe bucks fan in any case. They were joking. And they were like all the, you know, the buccaneers are gonna take your credentials for you. And it had nothing to do with McCoy. I don't think they were big remember what you're talking about. But they were joking about don't say that because the buccaneers will take your credential claim. So it is very much a quick pro quo relationship, I think between the buccaneers organization and the players and the media, then it makes sense. That's the way it is a lot of places. Yeah. I don't think it's unique to our football team. I think it's any football team any sports team. Would you just have to take biased writing with a grain of salt? You only get one side of the story when someone is trying to push their narrative on you. And that's why I don't I give a little more slack because they're clearly bias. They always have been there blog more or less than you have good insider information, but every single one of their articles Aslan voice their opinion their of ours that I'm constantly sending Ralph tweet throughout the day. Making any inappropriate sexual innuendo? What these journalists are doing to German coin? It's the Tampa Bay times in particular are really his jock. And I don't know why Tom bassin germ tell metrics he loves thrown out stats about Guay. And what a fan pointed out was that those are great stats for Joe McCoy. But they're just about him. They're not about what he's bringing to the team. What does he done for the team and see what he's done for his career for his numbers? Yes. We don't know anything about what goes on with locker room, and how you interact with other players and all that stuff stats are one thing. But you gotta admit to guy has been the stalwart of this defense. He's the only one left from two thousand ten he's been there that long and ever since he's been here aren't defenses sucked. And he's got good staff for defensive tackle. And I'm not bashing Odera McCoy either way, it's just it is what it is. But you have to look at the whole picture. The team hasn't his of the. Of the ball has not gotten better any gotta lay some blame at his feet, but they don't do that. And that's kind of bothered me about his video where he said don't ever question me never to era at one buck plays. And there's this thing called accountability that Bruce Arians likes to push very hard, and no one's exempt from that. Everyone should be held accountable. There shouldn't be one person who can't be question, ROY. And that's the thing with your McCoy. He's never ever since he's been here. He's never one had in competition to his job is never been threatened. I mean, he has every coaches come in here as of mmediately said Jeremy coins the best player on defense. And this is the first time he's ever had any adversity his workplace and to say that we can't question who assume be talking to us. I don't know who's talking to. But we was pretty general. I'm like, no, no, you won't be questioned is like everybody else all the way from the media. All the way up to ship. I'm a fan. I'm question. All of you sports, you if you're on the team, but I'm going to question, you, hold you accountable. Grow up. I'm gonna talk about it. So we don't know where Jerrell McCoy what's going to happen. I think at this point clearly he is a disgruntled employee at a minimum. I don't I don't think it would be a good idea to bring you can't. I don't think it can't. If you cut it salary. He's going to be disgruntled if you don't make amends between Burs areas and hill, he's gonna come in disgruntle. He's gonna require a public AFC kissing for the coaching staff from, sir. Yeah. Happen. We'll we'll see we don't know. But here's the interesting thing. If you're not aware JP got into a car wreck, we covered this in our last podcast. We said everything was okay. Fortunately, doesn't appear to be that way. It's we don't have answers yet. We know he went to the hospital after his accident. They cleared him send him home. The buccaneers medical staff. Got a hold of his skin's that he had done at the hospital, and they said, well, we don't think everything's okay. They saw something on the scans. They didn't like. And now he's going for a second opinion. They're concerned that it's a fractured neck, and that he may require surgery. There's a report L about an hour gal at eight o'clock on the seventh that it may heal on its own. He may not require surgery. It does look like he's likely to miss some time. If it's if it's a fracture, and he doesn't require surgery. They're saying it takes five to six months. To recover. So that puts him back in October ready to practice, and then he probably wouldn't even see the field right away because he's got to get in football shape. If it requires surgery. That's he's gonna miss next season. Do you have he comes back in October? I don't see how that's going to help. Because this is a totally new defense not just for the team. But for hill he's never played in this type of defense before I don't see how he could get on the field without a crap ton of practice in his off season. If he doesn't participate in the offseason practices. I don't think he's gonna make the team you think cut him. I think there's a high possibility. I mean, they're not going to we're in salary cap crunch is one of the things which is we need that there may now if we can cut JP recoup some of that in a seven main or whatever it is. Nobody knows nobody knows anything about his contract. Gregg, Allman is even come out said, we don't know the specific language in JP's contract. Void a guarantee of. When we would have to be Nejla cited on a car accident a lot we don't know as to how the books can will handle this moving forward. Very true. We don't know anything about what's going to happen. What Gerald's Cupper GP's contract looks like whether how much money we could recoup cutting or bench name or putting him on the non football related injury list. We don't know anything right now. But it does put him on the chopping block. And if we cut him, we might not have to cut general coy, I think he still cut jerem Koi. Irrespective of what happens with JP that would be a huge huge holes to fill losing JP, Gerald coil defense alone. You've got some money you three. Three or topic? To get. That would be hilarious. Could you imagine? If we got rid of McCoy we brought sue in then we're gonna play offs. Oh my gosh. That would don't answer a lot of questions certifies because sue has been to what three or four different teams and he's been to the playoffs. Every single one of them. Right. No stranger to the limelight. Hopefully JP will not need any type of surgery. And this is just a fluke thing. He's getting a bunch of second and third opinions on this moment. So we won't know anything probably tomorrow or later in the week. Yeah. I think it's gonna be a while. The bucks organization is kinda Salone and turn around information without Beckwith list on them still don't know. Could you imagine if JP is out because of a car wreck Beckwith outlast your car wreck JP this year because car wreck I'm going to start bubble wrap? These players now for the offseason get ridiculous, or you haven't they have personal drivers over never understood that you can still get a car wreck in an Uber. This is. True. Which banned cars. Get them on. Yeah. They can't go anywhere. No, no, traveling Vinnie time, you go sleep at one Buc place, which is a fan. I won't be perfectly fine with it was chilling on Twitter to see all the argument about McCoy this morning, and then this afternoon, the no the news came out about JP, fractured necking. It might be more serious and people immediately jump to. Oh, good. Now, we can keep McCoy like very little concern for JP future with the bucks his health. It was immediate jump. And it was well it key thinking about them. Yeah. And a lot of people are now even like Joe box fans put out articles. Well, here's the McCoy situation. Now that JP may not play. Or now that JP is in question. And you know, Tom passenger with the Tampa Bay times was advocating to trade JP months ago. So I'm sure that he's just like I told us how we should have done a month ago, train them out broke. Now, that's another thing about the whole German coast of it. I don't like is. I don't think one player on the team, and he has done this ever since he's been here. He has sucked up all media attention since he's been here and some players are. Okay. With that. I think. Oh, yeah. But I'm talking about as a fan, right? No. I don't think anyone player should be given that much limelight on a team. Now. I don't think so either because what about their people, and you don't want the limelight. Do you want to be quest? Gained and give interviews and no one cares. What they say. It's a it's a strange situation gets resolved soon. Other does give us something to talk about during it does in Beccles podcasts on this was refreshing. If it's refreshing, you mean full of darts, and honest, he just turned a long more to the side of jerem coins. Head that was that was a podcast if I was McCoy. I would probably wanna fight Ian, Beckles he blocked in Beccles. The gal was pinned block. Probably can't Beck was not appreciated. Terrible coy at all since he's being here is just got worse and worse over the years. He's got a different perspective. Because right. The NFL rim before he played against defensive tackles. Right. That was his position. So he he has a little better perspective on it. Then say Rick Stroud. Right. So if you wanna hear the other side of the story, listen and Beccles, but make sure there's no children in the room. And if you love McCoy, you probably don't wanna turn it off immediately. Yeah. That's what we need. We need the balance we need. Right. I don't think it should be as biased on both sides is. But if you're gonna listen to one side, you need to listen to the other side to just to get balance within yourself. He's been really easy. I say this about NFL players same thing. I say about college players, I take any game and make a highlight feel of any player on the team anywhere. You make them. I could make a highlight field even somebody that all they do. They play special teams. I can make a highlight film of it. I could also do the exact opposite Becca low light film of any player on the team. So it's really how all this is being framed. If you're listening to only people that are telling you, the highlights, you go, thank these players are awesome, or whatever. But if you don't ever see the low lights, you're not getting a balanced approach, and you're not getting the full story. And I don't think people are thinking of this critically like you're either in one camp or the other. And if you are in the camp where you loved your McCoy a lot of people are saying. Oh, the real the real fans, the real fans shouldn't be talking about your McCoy like this. Yes. And that's another thing that bothers me about this whole situation. So I don't like to see the fan base five. I mean, we should just be able to talk about it and disagree in. Unfortunately, what happens is you get you say all I really liked your McCoy is a really good guy. Good player. Then you're gonna have some bonehead that comes up and goes on. This this net and they'd use your position you start attacking now. And then it becomes a war. Everybody pick sides and pitchforks, John. I've definitely gotten like that before not with Jeremy McCoy and other people on the team where maybe coach or you know, and the families turns against him, and it makes me really upset and angry. And actually, I got on for that reason because the buccaneer, and I was just very very angry tacking on team. And you're like that's my team. So I can understand people who really like McCoy getting upset about it. We was removed from the team that really really bothered me. Because I thought and I turned out to be right? That mcgeer Bont is a superstar. He's an elite player in. He was fun to watch. Mary entertaining. Not only on the field and off field any like strip clubs. So you know, how the big fan of? Some common interests. As a Sterkel held. So when Libya bluff was removed from the team was pretty despondent because I thought it was the wrong decision and turned out. I was correct in that. But that's not here there, but I didn't start attacking people. And even when it was brought up that we should get rid of blonde. Because there was a big contagion of people. That was like we need to get rid of you know, I didn't attack them. I don't think that's right. Where fans were supposed to support our team sport each other. If I wanna get attack. I'll go hang out with saints fans or Carolina Panthers fans, you know, as far as buccaneer fans, we should be able to have good discourse talk about our agreements. Put our pros economy out there. I never agree with calling for people fire. That's one thing. I love about Bruce Arians when he said that he said, I will not fire. Anybody on last staff? I was like clapping because I believe in. Yeah. I mean, of course, there are extremely circumstances. You somebody like Hernandez comes up starts killing people. Get rid of. I'm talking about for performance issues or silly off. Field stop or they say something somebody, you know. It's just people get so riled up did volved in this stuff. And understandably, so what you get you. Also, gotta look at this. This is the team we've chosen to support there's thirty one other teams out there filled with millions of other people that hate our team. We don't need to be one of those support team is putting everybody on the team include as water boys the cheerleaders the cultures the media the feigns to front office. It's our team we on the twelfth man on this team. I wouldn't mind in somebody on the teams that well, I'm not gonna play because I don't like the coach or I'm not complaining because I don't like to general manager and stuff, but you get the fan base all time on I'm not gonna watch games or I'm not going to go to the stadium until they get rid of this coach or they start drives me crazy. That's the very definition of Bain wig bandwagon fan fair weather fan watch team when they're winning come on. So, you know with the journal McCoy stuff whether you like him or you don't like him. You don't make a big deal out of it with other fans. And understand that you're probably half. Right. You're probably half wrong. Just like everybody else's if he's with the team fantastic. If you go somewhere else, you'd better not be the NFC south. Go hang out with his buddy. Juries you could still root for him as long as he doesn't go to team. We play me I prefer not to root for anybody. That's not on the team another team darn enemy. But I might they might be like a lower class enemy. If I really like it was hard for me when John Lynch went to Denver and that was hard because I've big John Lynch fan. And I was just like I cannot like John Lynch, I cannot not like John Lynch, but I forced myself to do it. Powered through powered through. So hopefully, this'll get wrapped up soon, and we can all move onto being United fans again. Yeah, this has really been divisive for the fan. Baynes only happens anytime like with the Mike Smith coaching thing with the end of a coach's tenure when they start losing all of a sudden the fan base to start to tackle each other in the media gets involved in a big wheel. They're usually the ones that start it to just sit there and stoke the fires. You're not gonna get that from this podcast. You never hear either. One of us talk about getting ready to somebody on a team or in front office or anything like that. I think I just talked about getting rid of German coy. I think so KOMO Mahler come home go. All right. That's short podcast for tonight. We just wanted to get those things out there. Molly still has the press conferences with the coaching assistance coaching staff. She's restore reviewing all that we're gonna fill those things in when there isn't any book news, but some pretty potent stuff going on with Jim McCoy JP today. So we thought we would cover that next podcast nothing else breaks. We'll probably have Molly finishing up her or 'continuing. She don't have it with us and finishing up. Like, man, there's a lot of coaches 'continuing her breakdown on all the different coaches. We have in their interviews. We did have some news the science Ajay Pierre jerem acquainting kind of ever shout on everything run as getting into the ring Alon or. September twenty second during the giants game. He'll be inducted Greg to help. I'll tell you. What probably the best cornerback that's play forty over forties interceptions. Over twenty sacks. He's only cornerback has never done that. There's another stand in there to remember. What is but I mean, he was a solid player. He'd never left field. He's always there for us. I started being fan at the end of his career to love Rondo lover on and tell you what he did the number one play for the buccaneers and puck near history. When he intercepted McNair in the NFC championship McNabb McNair. Get my brain check. When he intercept McNabb in NFC championship against filled out the eagles game that took us the Super Bowl. He intercepted. Ran it. Back for a touchdown. It changed every Buchan ears bands life. I remember sitting there because that was that was intense game. And the Philadelphia Eagles had knocked us out of the playoffs for many years previously. And when he intercepted that ball and started running back, we all just stood up and screaming unison were going to the Super Bowl. And they're still quite a few minutes left. But you know, it is done wrapped up, and that was Ronnie Barbara that did that. So I'll never forget that man. He needs to be in the ring of honor. And he needs to be in the hall of fame. If nothing else just for that one single play gonna get their fame and not remember it was the Philadelphia Eagles that we play. And it was during the Shia tenure we were right on the cusp of gone to the playoffs. And we lost that game and rendezvous barber was standing in the end zone. And he looked like a samba to stand. Yes. He was so depressed because he knew that was that was end of it and he was never gonna play offs again. And he we really had a chance, and that was just lose the way we lost that game and get knocked out of the playoff. Run was devastating the hill. And I want I'd like to see that when you lose. I want to see the players more upset than I get paid dollar. So it's really not that big of a deal tool, but I like to see just just despondent over a loss, especially a loss like that. And you could see they had to camera fixed on running Barbara in the end zone. And he just he just looked like a beaten, man. And I'm not saying I like to see Barbara a beat man, but I do like to see the players not like to lose. And hopefully, Bruce Ames is going to bring that end to back to one buccaneer place, fun fact, very Syrians was run by dad's roommate in college used to babysit round babysat. Rhonda her crazy games Iki seeking a lot of health problems when they were young. So the parents when take Tiki the Hans that all. Paul MBA incur Syrians keep run day. So that'll be a special thing. I think just especially when he gets inducted into other fun. Fact, Jon Gruden was inducted into the ring of honor. He was broadcasting the game at the time. He came down during halftime got inductive went back up into the booth and finish the game out. Rendezvous was going to do the same thing. He's broadcasting the game third his ring of honor ceremony. So he's going down to half time. And he's gonna go right back up and talk about how great it wants to be -ducted, which really need the help. Bruce Arians has such a connection to the barber's. Yeah. Best friends with Barbara's dad's roommates with him and all that good stuff in college. We also signed running back today was there yesterday. Maybe do I think they announced today kirwin Williams, and then we waved wide receiver Sergio Bailey dollars went back to his stick in. We're going to keep four we've got seven on the roster right now, it's gonna be interesting to see who stays on. No, Payton bars. Stay of course, barring Inge. Areas. Under LT is probably going to stay that into everything's grabs. You don't think it's going to stay? No. I mean, they're talking about him. Like, he's gonna stay why they're also talking about him. Like he's got a lot of work to do to get on this roster. And if they get somebody in there that they don't have to work as hard with got it said. Didn't drafting he's not there. Right. All right. That's gonna wrap it up for us. If you want to get in touch with us and Ralph angry Email, tell me how did you love me? He can reach me. And Molly Bay Buccaneers observed dot com. Ralph director now females to him Ralph, Boca nears, observer dot com. We're on Twitter at bucks underscore observer. And you can check out our website Buchan ears observer dot com. We're gonna have more contact coming up on the website. So you might want to start making a habit of checking it out until next time backs.

"Star sink dot com, or you can call them phone numbers. Five one six five zero nine eight nine nine five. He's also got his walk in for autism walks. Yeah. At rate every Raymond James stadium. April twenty six believe they were gonna follow up. We talked about it in a prior podcast. The coaches four coaches meeting has been going on this lake area and tan his charity golf thing with areas family foundation. So he did that. Right down the street to the country's the owners meeting, but he good snippets from it. Jason lex city. He lean heavily on coach areas for draft input. We kind of figured that much. But now we got it from the mouth of the beast. Funny thing Rick Stroud, put out eight nother article today about Gerald McCoy. Now, if you haven't been following the podcast, we brought up that extra out did an article that a month ago talking about how ownership said and management said that they were definitely keeping Gerald McCoy. Then he fits the three four defense, and he was gonna stay this. Of course, spawned fifteen thousand different articles for different news organizations all saying his thing with the buccaneers then last week or two weeks ago rich out put out another article, which he did not advertise the whole lot saying that we have to cut your Koi because can't space. Now, he got most of article clothing from Bleacher report dot com, but anyhow today he wrote his own. Article the title of it was Jerry McCoy's future with the bucks seems very much in doubt. He got this while he was at the NFL owners meeting and Phoenix Arizona, I'm going to quote, some of it here. The article says bucks defensive tackle. Jeremy McCoy is still is being evaluated by coach Bruce Arians who said Tuesday that film study has been done on the six time Pro Bowl player in indicates. He's not as disruptive as his thirteen million salary may require how hearings goes on to say, quote, probably a better question for general manager, Jason light. Because of the financials is a big part of it Aaron said when asked if the bucks in two thousand nineteen I got to evaluate him. I mean guys when the age, it's different. Thanks is. He's I have got to evaluate him. Or I did about it just says I got to evaluate him. I think he's saying he did evaluate him. When he was asked what the film study has shown him about McCoy Aaron said, he's not as disruptive as he was for years. Ago, but he's still pretty disruptive. He still a good player. Usually they're at the age when they get paid the most in the production don't match so we've got to find that out. If guys don't show up. Don't ask me about them. Because I talk about the guys that show up. Hopefully, we'll see how that goes level. Yeah. When asked if McCoy status is still up in area and said, everybody's is. It's a what have you done for me lately business? It's hard. It's cold. That's it. What are you going to do for me? Now, we've got to find that out. Peter report had a article pretty much covering the same thing. But he's got Jason Mike saying it's just hard to say about any player right now. It's just that we have so much between now and free agency draft. Oh team's offseason. I can't say definitively on anyone I can't tell you. He's a great player. And ideally, we would love to have him back. I could say we want Joe McCoy here. He's under contract. And I want him back now to cut his breakfast. NFL owners meeting in Phoenix Arizona, Tuesday areas didn't Sam so sure he said. He is on our team. He plays three technique, and we have a three technique that penetrates. He did it as well whenever that was four years ago. Would I like to see more disruptive? Yes, we can use him. If he is here he is going to be used a bunch. It's just a matter of what happens. That's like he's gone. Well, I did like we said on the podcast here. There's no way to keep you just don't have the money right now, we have two million dollars. We need about seven to sign rookies. We just can't somebody's gotta go and JP break are now officially paid. Right. Yeah. Guarantee you trade them, theoretically. But you can't cut them. So we would have to find trade partners for exact I think it'd be easier to just I mean, that's straight players you gonna shop versus just I mean, push comes to shove McCoy doesn't have any guaranteed money. So you can cut him whenever you want to find a trade partner. There's a lot goes into that. It's going to be hard to get that thirteen million dollar salary. Plus, we're gonna want to. Has age. He's you know, pushing thirty is he thirty. I think he just turned thirty. Yeah. So I just I just say, oh, we can keep him and his productivity hasn't been one. It was like Aaron said. I disagree with that. I've watched nine years of McCoy game film. And he's got better every year. And I think this year was his best year. Now, the numbers eight show right now, it's the numbers. And I think that's what seems look at right? Measure production for an offensive tackle. Yeah. You really have to watch the team. There's not stats don't really cover their contribution really Cummings with football, Florida. Football insiders article today, as well title bucks, coach areas indicated Tuesday Jerrell McCoy might be gone areas. Also elaborated that is not as destructive as he was four years ago. But it's still good player. Further set of the nine year veteran that he wants to quote, see enthusiasm for the game. Still in quote from the number one, former number one big I wish I could hear this interview. First hand up anywhere. His tone is going to be a unit. You don't really get that from quotes. It sounds pretty serious. Yeah. When you read the quote. Cummings did say clearly that's a coach sending a message to the media to one of the star players of the franchise for the past decade. It's a nine year career that Seema Koi. Enjoy a lot of personal success in terms of stats, but very little team success as the books of only two winning seasons during his tenure while he's been battling in the trenches of their defense. Specifically the last two years overall, we're horrible for the buccaneers defense under coordinator, Mike Smith to two thousand seventeen defense was the worst in the NFL in yards allowed and had the fewest sacks of NFL team. It's hard to it's hard to keep McCoy with that guys being here for nine years in our defense has been horrible for nine years. Right. And it hasn't really mattered. He we brought in. No. And you can't say he hasn't had help on the line now because we got him all the help. He could use this year last year. The most expensive defensive line in the league. And like coming said, personally, he's done. Well, but team wise, not so much. And that's what matters. I don't care if you go to the Super Bowl earned the Super Bowl. Okay. If you go to the promo twelve times teens bottom of the trenches every year, you're not contributing and at that point isn't the Pro Bowl kind of popularity approvals garbage popularity contest, anyhow, especially Jeff fans voting. What never made sense to me because I don't care how long you've been the league you don't play against everybody in the league. So you can't know they they should have the Pro Bowl be players can only vote on people. They have played against. So that's a good point. Because I mean, you figure Jerry is only going up against you say per year he goes up against twelve different offensive lineman. So those guys should be the ones that vote on something and end nature. Right. So when you get fans get the vote like they do in. Pro Bowl out just because popularity contests anything with the players to though because these players don't know everybody, and they they know the guys that are popular, and they know the guys that are friendly and nice to home in guys. Doesn't matter for good. Always cracks me up. We set on the podcast before everybody Tout's. Of course, it's been to the Pro Bowl six times. Go see point that his proof to how good he is. And then they turn right around the purple because about David's never been voted into the Pro Bowl. Right. There's that double standard gifts. They just goes to show me. Devante David the first two years. He was in the league. He should definitely been in Provo questions asked the Woolsey. It's going to be interesting feigns are going to really have a hard problem in McCoy. If McCoy is going off the team he's got a lot of fan support. Yeah. But I think a lot of people have come to terms with that one because of the price because a lot of people feel like he deserves to be on a winning team. So they hope that he's going to a decent team. Yeah. So maybe that'll appease them, right? But I think it's also because they cut running out of excuses for him. Yeah. Like, I said he can't say he doesn't have help defense blind anymore. Right. And his production was basically the same. There always has been other news ran a league just wanna bring us up or a quick Colin Kaepernick, we found out several for less than ten million dollars with the NFL and Eric read they got split it between the lawyers. Right. So they probably each about two three the Wall Street Journal, the one that broke this, and they were saying that it's less than ten million. It wasn't clear how it would be divided between the two gentlemen in their lawyers. So I think ten ten millions like grows, and then what they're getting. It's not even close to that really far cry from the eighty six to eighty million everyone projected to really far cry and to be just screams. They didn't have case. Yeah. Just wanted to get real. And not only that that he he did sell out. Yeah. Absolutely den shakes eighty million. You could make the argument that he was sticking it to the owners these billionaires don't wanna part with any money. You could say, yeah, he's still got them. But ten million. Over the wanting to get in the league this year. I want somebody to pick him up and play that other question to be answered is a good quarterback. I think he sucked last few years. He was formed Reiner's. But you know, somebody somebody hired the guy. Let's see how it works out. Yeah. I agree. Well, and we're still in for agency, and the bucks or signing lane Gabar. Gabbard it's like. Colin Kaepernick out there. But you take in. I don't care for Nick on our team. Let somebody else look how many other teams have gotten quarterbacks that are not name calling Kabir, Nick. I mean, you've got the titans. Yeah. The Raynor's Miami Fitzpatrick. I don't think you'll ever play again. But I don't understand. Why does a good day for the football league or something like that? If he could still play. I don't think he came. I think he's a shame. He's been maybe that's why he is. He knows that he can't play. But he's just bluffing everybody. He can just say it's not me that no one will give me the chance that he can look like the victim and get a bunch of sympathy points. Then look like, you know, he's being held down by the man what he loves. Yeah. That's that whole grievance industry. Yeah. It's been a witch rain here for a little bit the grievance industry Burs areas. We're talking about the women football crap again. Now, I'm starting to get a little upset with it because gentlemen, retweeted any apple who is Eli apples. Mom, saying thanks, Bruce. It's amazing. How women can birth entire planets feed them out of her body's teach them how to go potty stained versus it is no. Joke Wiki phase run corporations political organizations that communities, but somehow football is too hard for women. If y'all don't sit down somewhere, generally re tweeted this, and this was any apple retreated that after gigolo laying tweeted that Brooks bucks, Bruce Arians when asked if women can coach in NFL said hell, yeah, I've seen it. Okay. And then in response to any apples tweet d'alene tweeted, I think people also realize that a common denominator among any NFL players strong mothers for it. So many instances of moms pulling double duty as caretakers providers, working two and three jobs to support their children, and those sons don't forget it. And then she tweeted it should be noted that Bruce Arians approach like about hiring female coaches today. He was hired. Okay. You know, it's fine. Let let the females hired as coaches, let them prove to worry about all that good mess, but just don't distract don't make this an issue and they're making an issue. He's talking about women. Can't do it. I haven't heard the single person women McCain do it. But that's what they're bringing up that whole grievance industries mass. You know, nobody's saying that. They're just saying just do job get out there and do the job. Nobody cares. What to you your race religion? Whatever just go out here and do your job and all this crap going on at hunters meetings. And this is what generally tweets about does a tweet about anything else. This is what she tweets about. She even one article up the title of the article was areas. Yeah. Women can coach in the NFL. I wanna know what the hell she's doing it ESPN. I wanna know what does she do because that's not. I mean, that's that's that's just social Justice stuff. That's. ESPN?

"Or you know, we're checking the step and locker room to see if which one of those guys didn't get as touches. And then hey, why isn't Tonio Brown have eight red zone touchdowns? And Julio Jones has one nine you know, whatever it is. Dynamic so. Yeah. I'd say I would say Tampa Bay probably not they've got Mike Evans. I don't think you need more. You know, you you could theoretically do, you know, let's say the Sean Jackson maybe out of there. Anyway, you know, you've got one year left on his deal for ten million. If you traded to Sean Jackson and a third for in Tonio Brown thick or would you consider Gerald McCoy as part of a deal who's known to kind of be available? It's just you're still then complicating things for your young quarterback. Jameis Winston who already has to keep a bunch of guys happy you drafted OJ Howard. You've got Cameron break who could be available. And then maybe he's part of a deal. You've got you know, you've got obviously, Mike heavens. I think he just your muddying the situation there. What do you think? I mean, maybe again, maybe it's Chris Godwin and somebody in a pick. Maybe you wanna trade that young receiver the Steelers want that young receiver as part of a deal. But I just don't see if I can spend money. Did you got the worst defense in football? Or one of the three worst defenses in football. That's where you're going to spend money in two thousand nineteen it's not gonna be a receiver. Maybe the one where you're happy with your Australia. Now. As far as Carolina, I didn't have them really in my thinking, maybe I should have. I feel like I believe I looked at at all NFL teams. The average age of your starters for you know, running back wide receiver and tight end last year. Obviously, you know, Greg Olsen was hurt of the year. So they were like the youngest. They really had a nice young core. I think they were really doing well in the new nor Perner offense win Cam Newton was healthy. And then when it wasn't it went off the rails. So I don't really see them as you know, needing that they drafted DJ more or less here. I think they they have a good setup. If you were going to do it. You know, what would you know? What would you give up? Would you give them Torrey Smith and a third would you? You know, if there is there some graphic you've taken recently who kinda cheap the oath that. You don't like I don't know they have a lot of they have a lot of work to do get younger on defense and some other areas. So I think you need to pick me, I think you you look at J mooring and Samuel and say, hey, do you wanna trade one of these guys? I don't know that you do especially DJ Moore who looks like he could be a viable number. One receiver looked impressive second-half when Kennedy and was housing out in the second half. But just in general as a rookie. So I I don't think there's a great fit anywhere in that division. I would say me became it. It'd be the one to maybe maybe Tampa does have Bruce Arians, which which could help. But I don't I don't know that they really would they have crossed over Lagmay. Did he was he there with Antonio Brown? The very beginning of Antonio Brown. Maybe one year. Yeah. Yeah. The other thing on Carolina their owner has Pittsburgh room straight ties tied those types of things you try to connect stuff. You wonder about is that good or bad disease? Does he have an opinion on Brown? I would think you got some you got some young pieces on that offense. Do you wanna bring in somebody who's now your new leader your highest paid guy and make you know is he gonna complain about Cam. If they run the ball a lot that week. I don't know it seems a little risky. Yeah. I agree two years with areas beginning of his career. But yet, I don't I don't think that makes sense to me AFC south Houston Texans. I I don't mean debtor Hopkins is there again, they have issues. Elsewhere in the roster..

Antonio Brown OJ Howard Steelers Bruce Arians Tampa Bay Julio Jones Sean Jackson Mike heavens Torrey Smith Cam Newton Mike Evans DJ Moore football Greg Olsen Houston Texans Gerald McCoy Australia NFL Jameis Winston Carolina
