This is the work set up taking the left lane on the George Washington Parkway. It is northbound from one 23 headed toward turkey run and the beltway, a single lane should be getting by the work. Westbound 66 after glee road, the work is set up on the right side while southbound 95 slows crossing the arc of Quan, not quite as far as the Prince William Parkway so they may have cleared that crash out of the travel portion of the roadway. No problems along three 95 right now, route 7 in the area of I 81, you're under police direction for the crash with the jackknife tractor trailer. And eastbound little river trunk before Guinea road, that broken down truck should have been cleared out of the roadway. Now, in the district, southbound D.C. two 95 delays from burrows passing east capital street, inbound on the suitland Parkway the delay approaches the light at Stanton road with the work zone taking the right lane. Delays on both directions of 95 in Maryland, southbound from one 75 toward 32, northbound from two 16 to 32, watch for work in both directions, taking Elaine, and eastbound I 70 near 15 and three 40 the left lane blocked with the work definitely seeing delays approaching. Very good morning and we'll start off with the incident that a listener just gave me a few moments ago while we've been watching it all well since it happened earlier this morning, but for now, Georgia avenue is still shut down between Jefferson and Ingram street all lanes are shut down in either direction there that is for an accident scene and the investigation that they needed to go through. So as of now, Georgia avenue still shut down between Jefferson and Ingram streets be aware of that in northwest. If you're headed on the southeast Southwest freeway, that's inbound three 95 where it turns into 6 95 closer to M street is where the accident scene itself did happen. Now, all lanes are completely shut down on the on the outbound side of 6 95 as you head over towards two 95, but according to MPD, traffic is being detoured onto the exit for 11th street. So if you're headed eastbound on 6 95, you will be detoured onto exit one C however, if you want to bail out before that, my suggestion takes out the capital street southbound, then use the Douglas bridge to get across the river there. So far, if you headed on three 95 towards Virginia, things are okay. Three 95 headed down towards Springfield is up to speed 66 is quiet so far back in Maryland, eastbound side of 50. Thank you to the listener for giving us the details here. It initially seems like all traffic was completely stopped on the eastbound side. However, after watching for a little bit, it looks like they are letting by just a single lane of traffic over on the right hand side of the roadway. Still quiet between the bellway's on 95, we're a little busier. Baltimore Washington Parkway coming south at Laurel and then I had a green belt, two 70, also a little bit busier now, south were slow from 85 through urbana, headed down toward one O 9, only slight delays getting out of clarksburg, riding toward Bethesda. Now you're in good shape on the beltway in Virginia between Alexandria and maclean. We're just getting a little heavier now as you come out of the Springfield interchange riding past, the Robinson terminal toward Braddock wrote. 66 slight delayed eastbound in manassas, 95 northbound. You're good and quiet so far out of falmouth. Some brake lights in woodbridge, then again briefly through newington. Three 95 though looks good leaving the beltway up toward the 14th so far so good. You're getting by slowly and two lanes to the left on the outer loop, then in more heavy traffic toward Connecticut avenue, one damaged in the right center lane on the outer loop after Connecticut avenue, the crashed vehicles are on the right shoulder on the inner loop it is slow coming out of Virginia, but slower from old Georgetown road into Silver Spring, the crash above Georgia avenue cleared a couple of minutes ago. Now on the beltway in Virginia, on the outer loop it is heavy and slow from the American legion bridge through Tyson's a crash between route 7 and I 66 at last report was blocking the left lanes on 66 westbound slow into centerville. We had a pair of crashes near 28 and 29. The right side may remain blocked, but both of those are getting cleared. Three 95 southbound in the Springfield interchange, the crash blocks the left lane, 95 southbound still slow through what bridge is still very slow through Quantico and Stafford county, but the crash after centerport Parkway is entirely clear. Bellway traffic is still slow from van dorn to the Wilson bridge. In the district, southbound third street tunnel. Brake lights onto the southeast freeway, the ramp that goes east on 6 95. But let's start out on the beltway on the outer loop of the beltway delays from New Hampshire avenue headed around toward Georgia avenue, however, doesn't go past Georgia avenue. It may have cleared that crash out of the right side of the roadway. It had been blocking the two right lanes, the inner loop no longer seeing any rubber necking so the inner loop actually looks good. From three 55 all the way toward 95, however we are still a little below speed after route one in college park in stretches headed toward the Baltimore Washington Parkway all the earlier wrecks along that stretch should have cleared as well. Now southbound or inbound on route 50, you're going to find the delay approaching the merge onto New York avenue with nothing reported. Southbound D.C. two 95 is slow from benning road headed past these capital street, northbound solo is passing Pennsylvania avenue, brief volume on the eastbound freeway, passing main avenue toward the third street tunnel the earlier wreck that was near main avenue should be completely gone as well. In Virginia, span 66 is still slow from one 23 toward nutley street that wreck was reported to be along the left side also 95 in Virginia no reported issues northbound and southbound looking good between Fredericksburg and Springfield, Georgetown pike at one 23 was a report of a wreck. We'd had reports of a wreck. Trouble reported in the district, D.C. two 95 south near benning road northeast, that's a reported crash unclear for trash truck gone, yet inbound canal road northwest near Georgetown university last heard it was in the right lane. We've got lanes reopened in northwest, Louisiana avenue at New Jersey avenue. There was an earlier cyclist crash. You may still find authorities on scene, and also bending road near east capital street in southeast. We'd had that wreck. The crash in Maryland, 95 up toward jessup, northbound, north of the Howard county rest area moved, over safely onto the right shoulder. There was a crash, no lane information, though, 100 westbound near telegraph road. Now up in Frederick 85 north near three 55, we'd had word of a broken down vehicle, watch on 50 out of the bay bridge now, you'll find westbound as you approach the bridge, you will see the red X lit over the left lane that is going to be preparation for two way operation, the work zone on the eastbound span has not been set up yet, so we're maintaining two lanes east and two lanes west, although traffic right now paused on the eastbound side, which means inevitably we're going to start the two way operation here, pretty soon. You'll find we're slow in Virginia remaining south on the George Washington Parkway as you make the trip south of the overlooks, headed down toward the key bridge three 95 still slows right north of duke street all the way to and across the inbound 14th, where below the post had coming out of Springfield on the inner loop all the way up toward Braddock road in two 36, then again slowing passing the toll road. Now let's take a look at the delay on the beltway the outer loop top side of the beltway delays coming off of I 95 and before I 95 around toward Georgia avenue where we have a report of a broken down vehicle, southbound Georgia avenue is seeing delays headed toward Dennis avenue, the left and right sides were a blocked with the crash at one point you were getting by at the center. And one 75 near odenton road and gateway boulevard that was a report of a wreck. Our main problems remain in Virginia. Let's start out on northbound 95 with the volume from Dale City fairly solid all the way in through newington. After the fairfax county Parkway before 6 44, the crash on the left side, then northbound delays out of spring Philadelphia on making your way toward king street on three 95 and from The Pentagon headed to the 14th street bridge. 66 remains the major trouble spot with the work zones in place in manassas in both directions. Eastbound 66 before two 34 business sudley road, the left side is getting by the work your delays are out of Gainesville trying to head past two 34 business and both the Prince William Parkway and sudley road are crawling trying to get onto eastbound 66. Now the westbound side not much better to lays from two 34 business headed past the Prince William Parkway toward 29 in Gainesville. This was where you were staying to the right to get by the work that was still in place. 29 is still very slow trying to head from Gainesville, headed toward sudley road with delays a lot of you probably trying to take that instead and not finding it much better. The two 34 sudley road also very slow trying to get on to 29 in both directions. So it's pretty messy no matter where you're trying to go northbound 28, normal delay, but it is crawling out of an ass is trying to head into centerville, but your lanes should be open. In Montgomery county upper Montgomery county had a work zone near sunshine on route 97 Georgia avenue between New Hampshire avenue and tried alpha like road, alternating on route 97. Washington DC firefighter faces murder charge in shooting
"A DC firefighter, has been charged with fatally shooting a man in early December in Northwest Washington Post reports that this comes three months after Mohammed Goodwin was let out of prison awaiting a trial for illegal guns. Police arrested Mohammed Goodwin on Thursday night on a warrant charging him with second degree murder while armed police a good one shot Devante Wilson of Northwest On the night of December, 3rd on Morton Street near Georgia Avenue. Police found the victim in the driver's seat of a car with a gunshot wound to his neck. He died in the hospital a day later. Goodwin has been on leave from the fire Department since September because of his weapons arrest.

"Four police officers have minor injuries this morning after rocks and bricks were thrown at them while protesters tried to force their way into DCs Fourth District police station. The demonstrations began around 6 30 last evening Tuesday evening on Georgia Avenue near Peabody Street in northwest Lise had been guarding the outside of the station with shields. Severe Thunderstorm Warnings For Parts Of Washington, DC Area
"Severe thunderstorms popping up in central Maryland. Let's go to storm Team four meteorologist Matt Ritter News era.
