"Talking to my friend malachi O'Brien, malachi, once again, I got to tell my audience, I can't believe we never do this kind of thing, but you finished your 152nd consecutive marathon today, so you're going to go home tomorrow, you're going to do the final one. I had the privilege of doing this with you yesterday. And we had fun because I thought to myself, when you're running at that pace, you can actually talk. And so you and I talked and we just had this wonderful fellowship and we found ourselves, I mean, I don't know if I said this when I was talking to Alban before, but we ran to New Jersey. We ran across the George Washington bridge, which of course was my idea. I'd done this once before on my previous world distance world record personal record run. But the idea that from my house, you could run across the Hudson to New Jersey on the bike path. And that was insane and fun to do with you. We took pictures. But then on the way home, we passed a number of sites central to the story of bahn hoffer. And I was able to point out where he stayed. That's the room where he stayed in 1939 when he made his big decision. And this is riverside church that welcomes Fidel Castro into its pulpit. But in 19 39, when Bond hoffer was here, he went to hear a sermon there, and it would dissolve in my bond hopper, but I was able to tell you the story and then to say, and then that evening, he heard another sermon at this quote unquote, fundamentalist church, a few blocks south on Broadway, and how delighted he was. And so it was just fun running with you. And if you come back to New York, I just want to do more of this with you because there's other fun things that we can do and see. "Is what he wrote in his book while the crisis was still going on people who call themselves. Progressives must be examples of why americans should trust us. Their service must be honorable and productive. They must be willing and able to make hard choices to effect. Change and deliver results. They must make things better if they failed to do that. Number of them are looking to move out of the city. Number one because the taxation is punitive now. Companies and even small businesses are being punished. For making money. And the state and city want as much money as they can legally get, and they're passing insane tax laws. So The corporation Businesses are saying Maybe we're going to go someplace else. Now, In order to do that, you gotta research it. You gotta because a lot of these places these businesses corporations have been here in New York. For 50 60 years. But they're ready to pack up and go. But that's not my point. My point is If you were to go out on the streets of Manhattan today and asked 10 random people If they're concerned about that. That matters to them. How many do you think would be concerned out of the tent, too? Maybe they were working for big corporations. Most people would not care. They don't even think about it. It doesn't affect them. Have to understand that in our country today We live from day today with a tremendous distraction in our hand. The iPhone. On Bill o Reilly dot com You may know We celebrated, Um, the Release of the iPhone in 2000 and seven it happened today. And now the iPhone dominates our lives. So rather than being forward, thinking or introspective or really even thinking about life, liberty and pursuit of happiness at all, we're on the iPhone. But if this does happen to New York City The city will become even more chaotic than it is now. Because the city just got a big Shot of heroin from the Federal government and covid funds, billions and billions of dollars. Sent by people from Idaho and Arkansas. You know taxpayers to New York City. For Covid relief. To the city and state got a ton of money, which, of course, a waste. And nothing will improve because that's How the politicians behave. Nobody's watching them. We're going to hold them accountable. It's all party. Democrats are going to support Democrats unless, like a Cuomo, it gets totally out of control and a De Blasio when there are dead bodies in the streets. Even then, though, Democrats aren't demonstrating a protesting their grumbling. We'll We'll put another Democratic And see how that person does. Okay, good. So my point on this monologue Is to tell you that the landscape is pretty bleak. We still have a great spirit in New York. We still have more things Anybody else has.
