"Back to the Jimbo Hannah chod one 8 6 6 5 O Jimbo one 8 6 6 5 O 5 four 6 two 6 and we're talking with Sean Walsh from the consulting firm Wilson Walsh George Ross consulting about the midterm elections which are coming up And the impact that that can have on the country And the mindset of Democrats to apparently well it almost done to me like Marie Antoinette you know let them let them eat cake Let them fill up their tanks with the $7 a gallon gasoline I mean it's remarkable The extent to which they not only are out of touch but don't seem to mind Spot on I mean in California it's devastating Look we're no joke We're a state where people drive their cars to work And so even though unemployment numbers are down and you've got some wages that are up it's all being eaten alive You can't even buy steak at a Costco now because it's too expensive So it is let them eat cake I will tell you another thing too Jim and you mark my words We saw a horrible horrible shooting incident in Sacramento last weekend And so the crazy crazy policies that have been instituted across this country to attack our police officers and to say that they're terrible people and they need to be prosecuted Well there have been some abuses and that needs to be dealt with But they've gone so far to the left They let people out of California We have a get out of jail free pass now for people and based on those policies to give people released early on their sentences and our liberal parole board a person who should have been in prison was let out and he was a gang member and he took a gun and shot up 6 killed 6 people and injured ten others in Sacramento And I think this country is going to look and see the crime rates that have happened in Baltimore and all across this country and say you know what We're letting criminals out of prison It's gone too far We need to put people back in here are going to protect our homes and protect our families So it's not just the economy It's quality of life in the cities and counties that we're living in across this country Here's the call from Marlin in San Francisco good evening Marlin Good evening Jim bob I understand what you're saying what's going on with California and I agree Now regarding to the inflation a little history here is like during The Great Depression is blamed for this depression by the public And also with Obama with the recession and also with reggae doing a high inflation and now we have President Biden with the inflation boost shortage and gas right increased So my question to you is the people still blame President Biden because it inflation and food shortages If so why It's happening on his watch for one thing I'll grant you that presidents don't determine prices Or the economy even the chair of the Federal Reserve it doesn't have that kind of power Of course if presidents control the economy they would never be such a thing as a recession So I understand what you're saying but it's happening on his watch and he has pursued policies which certainly haven't helped in it I mean massive excessive spending does not help curb inflation but I'll defer to Sean Walsh Well I will tell you that I do think there's a significant amount of blame Number one we paid people during COVID and coming out of COVID not to work which then put increased pressure on employers to raise wages and to raise those wages I think it was part of the Democrat effort to try and have a $15 national minimum wage They basically controlled or tried to control the labor market So the wages went up to people that are going to working in fast food and other restaurants But the prices went up and they were passed along So all of those increases in the pocketbook now have gone out the window and people are hurting even more with regards to energy policies California is an energy island We don't connect to the rest of the country We get most of our energy from imports from around the world even though we have a very robust domestic supply in California Democrat policies have been in such that we try and do greenhouse gas emissions and put pressure on that and before the country is ready to be electrified in their cars And so now you see a crisis at the pump You see pipelines that are shut down So where we.

Do you think taxes will be going up, George? Access will be go. It depends Think taxes weren't along a big gamma to say taxes for home. That's true, definitely probably for the oil industry and or maybe even the gun industry. Uh, maybe I noted, noted, I don't I don't see that the tax is gonna go up the gun industry well again. I don't know whether it's hard to say what the relationship ship is between people buying guns and what's going on in the world. But I don't do taxes. There will always do well, people, I think now will probably want more protection. So I anticipated the gun manufacturers will do extremely well. It might be in there good area to think of investing in because everybody is very nervous about fourth course going on. Especially what happened then. Washington over over January 7th. So it's ah as far as the others. That's that's that's a guess. And I wouldn't bet against it. I wouldn't bet for it. It's not my cup of tea to invest it, But I think basically would be a good investment. I would think what we degrade investment is as far as I'm concerned, is any company that you to technology. Because I think the services there have to be A lot better than they are now and they are. They are good, so there's going to be bore surveillance. There's going to be need for data. It's gonna be all that secure. I think they have Ah, tremendous opportunity, and I think that the growth will be here they have were in the past. I think even more so. Because it's all tied in to getting better reporting of data. And understand the same thing would with was called it. The data reporting or data has been slow. And a little vory. Destroy him. Now that's gotta stop. Not only for covert, but just generally, you're gonna have to have more daughter Donna have to go faster and you're gonna have to have the software and the hardware that can handle that flow. George Ross is where this any comments on the recent controversy about short sellers. Can't it Z? Not with the recent controversy? Yeah, I do, because I like it always went a little guy with short sellers. The whole concept. Short selling, I think should have greater scrutiny. The idea of selling something you don't know that never intended to have never intended to own and make a profit on it to me is wrong. In other words, that's pure gambling and pure gambling on something you don't have. For example, if you had a piece of property, and I said, I'll tell you what, I'll show it, sell it, and I never intended to buy it. And I can't buy that. I think that's that's wrong. I think what happened? It is this Short selling is really a vehicle for the hedge funds. They make a pot full of money on it and the banks and so had made a possibly because it's a pure gamble. But I also understand that it's a protected gamble because they buy protection. On the downside. But the company the insurance company to protect the downside data, ones that get left holding the bag. George Ross's financial people. Is they convict rape protect themselves by saying I can't be Get to get be hurt If there's a big loss because my losses are limited by my contracts with the with the company says if it goes down further than that, you pay me so it's pure gambling. What can we expect in 2021? I'm a little nervous. Well, that's where this would really state has always got ups and downs. So it's there. Always cycles go on. Of course, this one is maybe artificially induced because of the pandemic. But it always goes up and down and the thing to remember for anybody in real estate over a period of time. It always goes up. Because it takes it also covers inflation and it and it has a tendency to go upto. The question is, Can you hold it really time to overcome a bad cycle? If you can. The answer is fine. Go do it. What you can expect in a safari. 2021 is concerned, and this year is I think there will be a substantial change in business in businesses and where investment should go. You're many businesses, which are up and coming will be very good as a result of what what is going on in Washington under the Biden administration, whereas there are other businesses which will suffer so oil and gas is probably gonna have a problem. But any of the ancillary businesses that are involved such as pharmaceuticals is gonna rise like crazy. They have to. Because there's everything is going on with the farmers with the drugs. The pharmaceuticals aren't they did her involved with covert and the the the fact that you need safe areas and you need cleaning and that kind of things. Those were all gonna go gonna go up. So, they wrote. It's a question of putting your money in the areas which I think we'll have. Both will have great growth and 2021. But overall, I think the market will be will be very strong because they're going to pump so much money in it. George Ross's sorry. Go ahead. My feeling, right? Yeah. Yep. I think you'll find him or I think the the desire of people to go toe areas which are not highly congested is a result of the pandemic. So I think you're gonna find more. That was a nice, elated place or maybe on a lake or something, which is not in the big city. I think that's what you're going to find, And I think that they will be very, very much in demand. There is plenty of money. There are people would say, Hey, I had enough of the Big city. Let me move somewhere where I can stretch out to go fishing but do whatever else it wants, but a quieter environment than what you would have in the hectic big cities. I think that's a change, which is taking place. And I think it Z going. It's certainly going to continue. I can say honestly, this point I lived on Ah, in Long Island on. I think the Big houses, which were available just are going like crazy. There is more of a market for everybody wants wants to go. They want to get out of the city. They want to go to an area so they pick an area which is not too far from the city, but also has a nice feeling about it. You know, like a comfortable neighborhood. I think that's what you find what I find here, and I think that that's prevalent throughout the United States. Now it's in it could be in the open. It totally visible. Well, some of these rural counties they're starting to see property values go up more than they expected. Yes, that's true. Yeah. I mean, there's a lot of nervousness about what the Fed may do and what they mean. I don't I don't understand what you said. What are we talking about? Market is growing in the economy is declining. Economy is not really declining, artificially depressed. It is not declining. Another. Was it? Yeah, The answer is, yes, It's it's temporary and with assuming that they get some kind of Ah, hold on the cove it which it looks like They're going to get its going to rebound in Spain tremendous growth because he's been held back artificially. It's not the people don't have money. They have money and they will have even more with if the incentives goes grew from both from Washington, you're gonna have a lot of people are gonna have a lot of dollars they never had before. And that's going to go somewhere gonna be spent. Well, if it's going to be spent, where they spend it now, you've got to question that changing. They're going to spend it in in areas There's will improve the economy. So you did. I think there'll be a tremendous rebound. Well, the doctor's going to give you a recommendation for a dermatologist doesn't mean you have to use them. I will give you a recommendation because they're in the industry. You may ask a friend for a recommendation. You may ask. You know your brother in law for recommendation, and then you go interview those three people. You go online. You research him. You say all this. Okay? Maybe I don't have already eliminated one. I'm gonna go talk to two of us. And get the information that you need for your specifics. OK, if you ladies Ladies will understand the statement. If you ladies are looking for a little we call it a little tweak little nip and tuck her little tweak. What do you do? You say my eyes are really bothered me. So you're gonna call And when you do the interview, call the doctor's office and say, you know, what do you specialize in? Oh, they may say, Well, we specialize in breast implants. You go. Okay. Next, you know you eliminate them. It's simple. There's like no, no, no. Oh, next when you call his specialty. Dr X. A specialty is in next Okay, Well, I'm talking about my eyes here. Okay, Then you call another one. It says Erin Dr Aaron, Because she is she specializes in ice. I happen to know this. I've done research. I have girlfriends. She's the eye specialist. It's the same with banks. They are specialized in something. Everybody in town. When you find out they'll say they do everything. There's people that specialize in loaning money to Dennis. There are banks that specializing in car finance their our specialties in land deals. There's one bank that if you're going to a real estate deal, they got you. They get it. They understand. You don't go to the people that are specializing in dentists. Your business. You know, it's really just common sense. You have to know what your needs are those. Oh, you want to know what it is that you specialize in. So if you're just starting out, let me use this example all the time. If you're just starting out in $700 a month. That's totally different need than somebody that has, you know, saved their million dollars. Got a half a million or a million dollars or whatever. Yeah, and you know here's the thing is that there's You hear these commercials going around, you know from other advisers that say, Well, you know you will work with you. You know, they say you're not good enough because you don't have half a million dollars. It isn't a question of you being good enough. Okay. It's a question of We deal with people in retirement and what you were dealing with in retirement, and the advisors is completely different than someone who's 2030 40 years old in the prime of their career and still pumping that 401 K. At 403 B full of ammunition for retirement because Yeah. Do you do you need a full service financial advisor in your twenties and thirties? Mom? I don't know..
