"Screaming silence as sort of like the what does that. What do you call call that when you put an oxymoron in screaming silence that's been then that's all right i? I think that we have decided on a band name by the way. God finally I think we have we I'll talk about the late. We'll we'll get into that in the we're GONNA do. We do an after party now. The reason why you WanNa join the inner circles because we do an after party from a post podcast where we kind of let her hair down a little bit more than then. We'll we'll venture into other topics current events stuff or movies or TV. Crap anything entertainment and fund any Eddie politics or anything like that. No we don't do that here. That's that's that's that's not the point you guys get enough of that little. Oh my God since the Kobe Bryant thing man. I've had like unfought an unfriendly. Several people was this very facebook. So yeah I know facebook facebook. That's that's real anyways we're GONNA talk. We're talking about bands that you've got to check out and you've got to keep keep an eye on in twenty twenty would there some polls and whatnot and listened stuff all over the Internet read. It has a bunch of We kind of old from some of the best of that plus some of the ones we think and like and feel. You should know about if you don't know so we as Lilly usually she's our rock and roll historian scholar here so she'll throw them at me and we'll go back and forth and and see what we can literally throw something and and and we also going to be talking about some. There's some cl- amateurism classic bands. That are going to be doing stuff. So twenty twenty. F- everybody's talking everybody's releasing it is the year of the tour. We talked about that last week. So so what do you got on your list so I just WanNa throw this one out there real quick dirty Shirley. Have you heard of them. That is that a George Lynch George Lynch thing but it's also Dina Jelusic from animal drive on vocals grave. No so did they put together a project Eddie. Shelly Dino's already made a name for himself with the animal drive covers that he's done and we all know George Lynch we don't have to talk about that But they named the band after the one of the songs they wrote together And they do cover a wide spectrum of styles from classic metal to the more traditional lynch mob oriented sounds with badlands lands in there as well And this will be an easy must-listen with the Combo musicians the self titled Debut Album dropped Friday and it's already hard to find. You can't find it anywhere physically on a CD so awesome. Yeah that's great. Yes I heard I remember who posted posted it but the guy who posted it was a guitar player. Might have been zander deep. Do you zander demos. Now you should follow him okay. He's a great guitar player. xers the U. X. Okay He's a Then in a bunch of bands and just Fanta. It's the kind of music is right up your alley. Yeah anyways I think it was all this. This dirty Shirley early is so awesome. And how the whole on me and another guy who's obviously guitar player. Thought that he was talking about the dirty Shirley amplifier the fire by Friedman APPs. ZANDER's guitar player. So we were like after the pedal or the drink in my case. Because that's a drink so so none of us and then later on I was scrolling through social media and came opted George Lynch project dirty Shirley. I'm like I wonder if that's what he was saying that so anyways that was a long time ago. So that sounds like a supergroup spending dino's still new to the mix. Yeah I'd call it A. Did you ever hear here. The the record that George Lynch did with Doug Pennock now I have not heard. This is interesting. Some people like it. Some people don't so what what else you got. WHO's next I have when you have on your list. There bishop gun formed gun is a sippy said to be the next big thing in southern rock. They have their debut album nashes. ATC cheesy. I don't know if that's what you say that But they already have a big fan base across the states from that album and They you have support gigs with slash struts. So already there touring with big names They have a confident president. Presence on stage The lead singer singer Travis mccreadie has a very soulful sweet voice and he People are saying he clearly has star written Oliver now. I haven't seen them live so I haven't seen how they are on stages is just stop from reading But they can play the Beatles Zeppelin in the same set as if they've done it forever and There are songs that that you you should check out or anything you want shine in Alabama are supposed to be the good one so this is fun for US Southern Rock fans. I think southern rock is something we kind of like forget about or you. Don't think too much about but there are actually take started. I believe with the with Zach Wild Span Pride and glory was the first like rebirth of southern rock that like really really rocked. And since then there have been bands like Blackstone Cherry Eliahu. That's killer band I've seen them and Yeah they're kind of their their southern rock but they're rock. They're really rock bands. They're not there's no. They're not borderline countries right and yet they don't sound like that broke. I was last week. I think it was. I usually playing some music before just in the studio while I'm getting things ready and I love my spotify lists usually they show me really cool stuff and I'm adding that I love this and there was a current skinner song the popped up and I was like this like Luke Bryan or something I had to look and it was a new skinner song and I was like Not taking it to like Toubro Country Intri kind of thing and these fans like bishop gun are not that they are planning. They were like real sleazy rock and roll bands with that sort of southern Vibe vibe which I think is you know I think the great thing and it gets Texas hippie coalition. The band is a really great nicholas southern metal title or something like cool stuff. Okay so what would you. Who else do you have on the list? So I have one on here that normally I would not have listened to you because of the type of music Category categorizing themselves but Nolan Potter's nightmare band. First of all I love me. I love the name because it just reminds me of modern. If you watch him daughter you understand that but They are from Texas They're on the side of Seventies. Prog rock now. You know. That's not my thing at all however when you listen to them. They're actually pretty amazing. Their debut album nightmare forever is sort of like pink floyd with lots of flute but it's also more rock but it's like you know the longer songs that I'm not really into but it's really. It sounds really good. I know I'm like saying bad things but it's really good but it's fun. It sucks I love it. It sucks I love it but it said to be just what we needed bringing a young audience to the Genre Progressive Rock so I think that helps with bringing back that sort of thing. I gave these guys equip listen today. It wasn't my thing it's more my oh I think I felt it was too early. Genesis two gentle giant. Not Not enough. I like my progressive rock to be more rock. I'm more rush Dream Theater Kansas. Kinda up some yes anyways. So yeah but buddy great band I check my you know. If if you're into that sort of thing who would he got. We got next year a little girl this next one. I did see live Joyous Wolf another banned from the West Coast high-grade rock and roll. I saw them open for bacteria. Last year I fell in love with them. The moment they went on stage the lead singer. What I can't think of his name right now? It's in here somewhere bizarre. He it was amazing. He is great presence They got a little seventies and nineties rock with some bluesy metal Sort of C. C. R. Soundgarden and Zeppelin Mix. I would say And Nick Nick is his name. He has charisma on the stage. They'll make you keep your eyes on them. Other first single came last year. Sleep weep stomp and they do do an amazing cover ever of Mississippi Queen who I get them hear them play Open they opened for Buck Cherry and they weren't. I had no idea who they were when I saw them. But you know as they'd been touring. I figured that they are pretty awesome. Now they ep out called place in time I will definitely chicken on. Maybe we'll we'll put them in the mix next time you did not get to go through this. ENTIRE TIRELESS LOUDER SOUND DOT COM has a great list and to listen to. Somebody's man's look very interesting like the WHO'd h you. Yeah who did you listen. Listen to them. I did not listen to that. I want to check out look very interesting so I did listen to crown lands and some of these bands but cool. It's what are you gonNA do. There's choice you'll like them. I know you'll like them yet. But they're definitely on listen. There's there's there's a wide variety I mean even are you. Fan of Larkin Poe at all not really into them but they're on their list. Oh Gosh yeah so. I don't know if that was you know I'm surprised I am not being is that they're females typically do like that sort of thing right. No Billy eyelash. No no Billie Irish none of that. Look I'm not knocking her. But when you sit there and tell me that you can hear colors your untruths this. I have heard some of my some of our fans have messaged me and said no billy eyelash which is really cool. That's she's actually like really talented and you should check it out so I have not I have however what Steve Kerr Bury's video on how to sound like Billy Bush and if you WanNa see that you can go to Lombardy rocks dot com and I posted it in the group this week. We had a good chuckle about. It's nothing against Billy Irish. It's just a it's just being fun having fun. It's not my cup of tea so we're GONNA come back Mac and talk about more bands. This is another bear Jim Vernon Inner Circle member for a long time now posted these guys today and I said I am going to play them because they are so stinking. Good the span called Roxanne okay. I already liked the name called Roxanne. The album is radio silence. The song's called Super Bad. This is for you. Funky efforts out there. We we write back and leukaemia rock and roll circus.

"Shadow train is the band, and we have an album out on ratpac records, number two years. And film, right. Brings news called shadow nation shadow nation. Tell the audience about that, if you don't mind. Well, it's, it's really is a documentary explores, you know, the plight of native Americans, and it's infused with music, so the band shadow train travels across western United States. Different reservations visiting with, with activists in native American leaders and just people on the ground and other musicians, and, and we're playing music and we're talking about the issues. And so we've got you know, we traveled to Ted Nugent range in Texas. We went visit no Chomsky. You know. You know, went to Leonard Paul tear commemorative on the pine ridge and South Dakota. Dr John Trudell worked with me on some songs and he's in the film as well. Singer in well, we've got Tom Morello from raging, some, she in the film search search firm system of a down you know both very you know, intelligent. And highly skilled activists. That working in injustice issues and things like that, all their lives. You know. And so it was really a it took a lot out of me. And I think everyone else involved, it was a seventy eight year process, but, you know, a couple of years of editing, it was it took a long time to get it out there. I had no idea what I was getting into when I got into it, but I just had a, you know, for me and a couple of guys had a vision, and we thought you know, we want to use our music as a as a vehicle or a weapon to try to, you know, make things better, you know, and it just got really, really hard and really complicated. Making a movie is not like making a record. It's about five thousand times hers. So it was definitely took a lot out of this. But I don't regret it. But I learned a lot, I learned what not to do. And I learned what I should do if I'm ever gonna make another involved in making another film. Again, how can you how can people see the movie? They can. They can buy it online on Amazon. Okay. You know, it's illegal. Yeah. On any the streaming services or Netflix or any of that stuff. I don't know if it's streaming yet that in the state, but I don't think it is yet, but we're working on that, but you buy the DVD. All right. Cool. And then people can just look on Amazon or whatever, and find the DVD, the Blu Ray and checkout, shadow nation. I know he put a lot of work into that. I know you worked on that for a really long time. So I wanted to make sure people were aware of it. Yeah. Thanks for mentioning that. Thanks. That's been out for a couple of years now. But do you have a couple more projects in the pipeline? But I don't want to confuse everybody 'cause we talked about so many projects at this point. So maybe we'll save that for the next time. I see you which us well they'll be as in hotels as in Tulsa. But that's a weekend, I won't be doing radio. That day that you're there, but definitely I'm going to do the show from, you know, from that private thing, we've done in Austin, so grabby for bid on that as well. L. Let's see. Okay. We'll catch up and we'll, we'll be part two. All right. Sounds good, George. Thank you for the time, man, you enjoy the rest of your day. And I hope the penis reduction goes, well. Yeah. You work on your vocal, chops, since you're going to be the singer. I'll start warm it up. Now. I'll talk to you soon, man. Thank you. Okay. Take care. Bye. See there, he goes, George Lynch. Well, my thanks George Lynch enjoyed talking to him as always will do more soon. The man has a lot to cover and a lot to talk about as you just heard. And I'll be seeing Lynch mob this coming Saturday in Tulsa, at the ideal ballroom. Come on out if you're in the area. "My ass for for two three weeks. So I get it. And I know that you said you were looking forward to playing those shows. Doc, and I mean there's a lot of wanna talk to you about. I won't keep you too long. But there are bunch of things I wanna hit you with, and maybe we can even do more because I'm going to do my show from from Austin from that private we're doing, again, so we can do more there. But I do want to ask you, where things out with you with doc. And now because you were going to do that show at him three which you had to cancel 'cause you were sick, but, you know where do you sit in that whole thing? Is it just kind of like if the opportunities right if the offers right? You'll go do some songs you guys are on good terms. I mean where where does it all sit? We are on good terms, actually in. You know, I don't really know that we have a plan. We don't really have a plan, actually I mean, we're just, you know, I'll, I'll done, and I'll get together if there's a high, you know, high level show where it kinda makes sense. And, and as you said, you know, everything works, you know, or their schedules, and the money and everything all Throwdown, and come down and play guitar in dock and, you know, and people love it. It's an event Donna and I are fine. We kinda got the whole thing worked out and you know why not. But I think it works for both of us, you know, because, you know, fans love it, you know, and, and I think it plans to see for maybe, you know, doing a record or down the road or something, you know, a reunion tour who knows. I mean, you know, I it's it's always challenging, and we've been talking about it for years. But, you know, all everybody's still relatively health. I think would probably be smart to do it sooner than later. Well, you did the one song and then you did that handful of shows a couple years ago that you played, so the vibe coming off of that, obviously seems to be positive still, as you guys continue to dabble in doing some stuff, you know, we could make a great record a record that would really like stand up to, to the old records. If people people love, and I really firmly believe that, you know. So I think to me, I want to do that because I, I want to put that other book end on shelf. You know. And trying to wrap the whole thing up in a nice neat little both and see. You know, here it is from nineteen eighty two minutes two thousand nineteen or whatever it is. You know, here's the end of the story. Did you hear the story that the story that came out today that Corey Taylor of Slipknot said that he blew out one of his testicles warming up to singing dock and songs? I don't is that what? No, for sure. He said he, he said he pulled a muscle and he said he thinks he pulled the testicle muscle or something. He tweet posted it today that he was singing dock, and he's singing the high parts and he said, I think I I blow out a testicle trying to sing like docking. I didn't know testicles could get blown out, but. Well, it's a good thing. He has three because he's still got to spare. You knew that about. Didn't know that about Corey, they're gonna movie in a movie about. No TV extra testicle. Hey, let me ask you about Lynch mob. We got a there's a Lynch mob date coming up that like you said, I look forward to seeing yada in Tulsa at the ideal. Those guys are going through a rough time in that area now with flooding and tornadoes. I was just there, but that area seems to be okay. And the show is a go for the eighth of June..

"So George Lynch is a guy that as just been. Multi-tasking you know, we see this with a lot of different bands and a lot of different musicians. I've said this, so many times, my dear friend, Mike. Portnoy caught so much hell for being in so many bands at the same time. And now, so many people are doing that, including George Lynch, who has a bunch of projects, and is you're bound to here in this interview has a couple that he couldn't mention at the time we did this now this interview originally took place a week ago. The show that I will be hosting George Lynch's coming up this Saturday in Tulsa, if you're listening on post day, so come down and join us you can still come out, and you can get tickets at stub wire, I'll be there. All night hanging out with everybody at the ideal ballroom, and Tulsa. And George is busy with, like I said a variety of different things. In addition to Lynch mob. I'll tell you what I've heard over the years so many things about George Lynch and his relationship with doc in no secret that dysfunction in issues that have resided there. But I've never known George or Don for that matter to not just be great guys in the thing, I've always loved about George Lynch's. He's unbelievably honest about things look no further than when I asked him about the lineup of Lynch mob, and he basically admits it's a revolving door. So it was a great conversation. We only scratched the surface of some of the things that, you know, that I wanted to talk with George about there is so many other things that I wanted to get into with him, but he was mainly calling to promote the shows this weekend, although we do touch on a bunch of other things, and as I mentioned, and you'll hear in the interview Georgia, and I will be appearing at a private event and Austin, Texas very soon. So I'm likely going to have him back on the Sirius XM show on volume once again, to pick up a little bit more where we left off because he's filled with stories, and he's got multiple bands in this interview, we touch on K XM, you'll find out of made a new record the end machine who have made a record. But is there a future for that band? You know, when it comes to these assembled, super groups, usually not. But we'll see. But we touch on that we touch on a documentary that he made. We talk about exactly what is is role. In doc in these days. Talk about a recent illness, he had, which was quite serious as you're about to hear and also of course about Lynch mob. So all of that would George Lynch on this week's Eddie trunk podcast before we get to that. Let me just remind you to follow me on social media. At any trunk where most active on Twitter. There's also Instagram and there's also a fan page on Facebook and my official online home is Eddie trunk dot.

"That and still this tour over we get a little further down the road i don't i don't know you know and but i could see us working to get next year it's not next year the following year but i would like to see a school back out next year and we are actually starting to have conversations about and with that work for you i mean is at this point after thirty plus years of doing this are you okay with that level of workload or you okay going out every other summer whatever it may be this is that is that good for you if it was up to be work at so you know but there are people in this band and that's one of the ways that we keep the band together is is you know eventually one person doesn't want to go then they're gonna be you know so you know you have to keep that in mind as well and and it isn't always just for retz reasons i mean there's always obviously other personally to that we have to deal with this right so you know so if if time permits and we can schedule something for next year we'll definitely probably be out there but i mean definitely but we hopefully we'll be out there and if not it would probably be follow matching imagine is there any side of you that would like to make a new poison record of you thought about new material is that something that's even in your thought process at all oh i would absolutely love to that but the you know it's it's hard to get the time set aside from everybody to to get the commitment to go in do it and it hasn't happened up until this point since like thousand seven the live i believe it was two thousand seven for live all on cut but what i like to yes i would you know but that that takes time commitment of several months time and you know we'll see you know right now at this moment in time it is in the process but you never know do you ever think when you were a kid come in here and got moving to los angeles and putting up the posters on the sunset strip and all that that that's what is it thirty thirty two years later you'd you'd be out there playing playing the sheds and having cheap trick open for you and still seeing multi generations of fans coming out sing those songs eddie we have a very blessed life and i like to say that yes but you know the one thing about is removed from pennsylvania to la we we were rockstars before we were and this industry you have to go in with that attitude so because if you don't believe yourself you're never gonna make you know so i always leave we're gonna make it but you know did my dreams my you know the reality has far exceeded anything i could've ever dreamed and in the live set that you're playing right now on the road what are some of the personal highlights for you in the set list what's the stuff that you most look forward to playing when it comes up on that set every night i know you've got a couple of covers in the set both both some that recorded in some that you didn't and then of course you've got all the hits in there but are there are there highlight moments for you when you when you're playing up there every night well actually both the coverage we did record we recorded rock and roll by kiss for the soundtrack for lessons zero movie and and then the other song that we play that's covers loggins messina your mama don't dance which was a hit off.

"Georgia's got enough to cover us here in the last few minutes so shadow actually i heard you could talk about rat well talk about is it true you were offered the gig in rat and you declined and something you didn't want to do the deal wasn't right anything you want to say about it yeah we just couldn't come to an agreement on something that's still could be possible or is it a dead issue think so dead issue them call me back up and stare at the phone like honey you to go to bed or something wait for the rat phoned all right all right with dini hello i haven't i haven't figured out what this guy does it doesn't do much he's all over the place a main thing shadow nation is is is a film that you have been working on that you're getting close to coming out right out in august comes out in august give everybody in reader's digest version about shadow nation and the accompanying ban which shadow train correct shadow train is the ban that's the subject of the film it's a documentary film about native americans and music and slightly political overtly political actually but it's done within a musical context of van that travels around native american reservations and and other places in talks to pete notable people in music people with giant brains you know that have way better ideas than we do and try to find discuss solutions to problems that have been plaguing not just native americans but just people in general forever and it's the temp to do that and so i had a hard time getting the film released because the feedback i got from a lot of distributors and this is not a moneymaking proposition by the way this is something that we just all sacrificed dove into put our time and money and effort into love just because we felt it was important an opportunity to to make this film and we made a lot of mistakes and and you know headed to do over again jeez one thing i could do over in my life that would probably one thing i'd do now that i know how films are made but it took me three years to get district bution and basic essentially had to give it away to get distributed and but now it is coming out actually coming out so people can see it because that's why we made it right and the feedback i got was you know if you had just made a film about of rocky memory about your life or your view of music and how music relates to political revolution and things that happened in the sixties and the seventies with you know that i'm a student of i mean we could've sold that but the native american thing is depressing people to want wanna hear about it and that's that was the movie stevie saleh's did on indians that rocked the world or something here about that one that's eighty helped me with the film little bit but i didn't know about yeah he he did a he's part of a film that's been out and i think it's on netflix or something of about that's more about the the native americans musicians that we know link ray and people like that and that was interesting right i actually i think he interviewed me for that for their film i don't know if i've in it but maybe he cut my part before we run out of time i want you to see that that'll come out in august do something more on that maybe when it's ready how did you end up hooking up with corey glover and doing this ultra phonics thing well alter phonics is really complicated thing and.

"Right right it's confusing i don't want to confuse people because you know thing with lynch mob is it's just a it's it is a revolving door and it's always a state of flux and i've learned to accept that and just live with it when i was younger when i say younger i mean like in my forty you know i had this dream that that it would be just you know you're raj ban you know your friends from school and you would go onto make it and you'd be friends first your life in your family right well now that i'm be able to succeed i haven't been able to keep that together so really just learned to accept the things are going to change the only thing that's inevitable as things are going to not remain the same so i'm not really sure what's going to happen with the band is gonna remain intact right now it scotty coogan who's been in the van before can also send great right but bass players we've got michael devon sometimes we've got sean mcnabb sometime so that's a revolving door they're and they're both wonderful and that's great we also have two different singers robert mason who does seventy five percent of senator shows and nathan is last name i believe in i just met him because he played rockall homa with him yes which i didn't see you at rock lama but i saw coogan and michael everybody but you we were onstage with cheap trick for a second yes that's right that's right during surrender yeah right i forgot the words nathan was the runner running around lake green behind the years taking pictures of him with robin zander onstage in front of the audience do that but whatever so so so the lynch mob thing is you're gonna to the more people know that i think people have and let's be honest this with any disrespect towards anybody that's ever been in the band but people go to see which mob george lynch lynch mob i mean as long as they're thinking about wait a minute it is your time we have a member change thinking you know sort of tend to kind of like blaming things wait a minute what's the common denominator here maybe it's my fault i'm the reason i can't keep a bam band but it's almost like a like an unwritten rule in in the rock you know world here that you have to be in lynch mob right all right now you can go be and whites you ever count how many people have been inland really right lynch mob survivor clubs somebody told me l a guns had forty their manager told me forty eight different la guns in their history i don't think you're that high no but they could have meetings you know like when you drink what are the meetings the alcohol yeah lynch mob and on the do you have a i gotta get quick break in but if you have a second i wanna talk to you about shadow nation which is a documentary that you've been involved in you also have a band with corey glover of living color that debuted some music ultra phonics i wanna ask you about k exam i wanna ask you about doc i mean and the world premiere of our funding video on on your on my site and then the other thing though is that there's a band that you're doing with everybody from doc and but dan right right with which talking minus doc doc in minus dawn with robert mason singing robert just sent me a text saying the record just about done or something i know it was going to be called super stroke with the name change hardest thing about being and coming up with the name so is it still superstar no it is not i guess guys i name yet or no yes can you say i dunno not yet i want to be absolutely hundred percent before say okay so then don't say that because you wanna probably trademark it make sure you get all that okay that's going to be cool so george has a ton of stuff going on we have about ten minutes left to go let's give this break in we'll finish up we'll touch on as much of it.

"To the trunk podcast as mentioned two for you this week i up i have a conversation with george lynch i set the table for this a little bit earlier lich no the site and where we did it and some of the news making things that happen in it so let's get into it right now with george lynch on the trunk podcast l are you meant right well well i think last time we wanna grow on the crew on the monsters rockers were doing that panel so again i saw you in in a pool like environment actually i think i went to the pool right after the interview yeah absolutely we're having a couple of well you know when you're when you're doing these things i mean there's there's like traditional touring where we're playing whatever we're playing festivals overplaying clubs and you know you're in and out and you're and it's kind of grind and once in a while you get to do something like this where playing for randy we've arthur time here and it's wonderful it's almost like a little bit of the cation yeah yeah it's and i've talked about this before this is sort of a side of the business and a lot of people talk about but the playing the private mccormick gigs is a big part of the business these days right and we did we did one night before last in in orlando and again it was wonderful you get to actually relax and not beat yourself up so much and enjoy joy the process because a lot of times the process can be very tedious planning but i'm just so what are you when you do show like this are you going to get up and do you have your band or you doing lynch mob here or you just plugging him with someone else not doing lynch mob actually olympic mob dates pick up friday so i go from here to oklahoma there's festival oklahoma and dallas houston san antonio okay those shows but this is a different thing so landau place with slaughter houses band called blend eating which i love and it's jeff can sing assegaf jeff coverdale unbelievable my mind that giant voice came out of you you look at the guy you think it'd be possible these phenomena he sinks heaven hell when he plays with vince neal and it's unbelievable he's the whole package yeah he does everything i mean he's that whole back line you see out there he built at it all out from florida's got his crew he's a machine he's the reason i'm here he plugged me into this all that sort of stuff too so he's a great guy he's the he's the foundation of that organization and he's invited me a couple times too because we're friends and just to be part of the process yeah so we're doing some doc actually quite a few dock and songs and some lynch mob songs and some covers so let me ask you because we don't have a lot of time but i joke all the time about your like your your you have so many bands and you you're stupid you're like you're the mike portnoy of guitar i think at this point but i wanna run some stuff down and get if you things from from you on them first of all as far as lynch mob is concerned it's it's somewhat it's always been somewhat of a revolving door but what's going on now with the band as far as the singing situation and.

"And above all the other stuff i talked about with george this was a revealing moment now what i can update you on is that after the interview you're about to hear took place i talked to steven peercy and steven told me that rat indeed is going to have a new lineup and that lineup will be revealed not in advance of the first show i believe the first show that this new breed of rat is going to play is scheduled for midjuly and they steven told me they have new guitar players but they will not reveal them like no press release or not letting anybody know who they are intil they play their first show so they're basically just gonna play the first show with these new guys and then let the world find out who they are and make their own evaluations there's not gonna be any advance notice as to who the players are and i think that's for a couple of reasons i think first and foremost probably they're not named guys if you don't wanna pay george lynch what he wants you probably gonna go for more unknown guys that are gonna come a little cheaper looking for their opportunity that's not to say whoever they are and i don't know who they are that's not to say that they are good or bad or whatever but an unknown guy without a lot of name value is gonna come in a lot cheaper than a guy with a lot of name value and the other thing too is if they announce it in advance i think it's kinda smart doing it this way if they announcing in advance people are going to be no matter how you slice it people are going to be angry that george that warranty martini isn't there so if you announcing in advance it gives the opportunity for everybody to tee off on who these guys are and that they're in the band whether they're good or not good if you just play here they are and then people make their comments maybe a little easier so i think that's what it's really about but there will be a new version of rat you guys can make your own assessments whether you like what they're doing or not whether you're supportive of it or not and what they sound like without warranty martini which i'm pretty sure is the first time the band has ever existed without warrant think he's been there the entire time so that's interview number one george lynch with the revelation about rat and a lot of others good stuff in the lynch interviews well and then interview number two bobby dahl of poison checks in poisoned currently on the road with cheap trick i'll be hosting a show with them the final date of their toward ally i at the seminal hard rock in hollywood florida and hadn't talked to bobby in a long time it was great to catch up with him you may or may not know this but bobby dollars actually the guy who pretty much runs the business of poison every ban sort of has that one member that deals with management and deals with a lot of the business aspects behind the scenes of the band bobby is that guy in poison bobby's had some issues over the years it's good to hear him sounding happy and healthy and good to see poison out there doing some some stuff and he did check in from the road with me to talk a little bit about the current poison tour and the potential future for poison so george lynch i up followed by bobby dall second and another double.

"Show i have to do it from wherever i am every day monday through friday and i have the ability to do that as long as i have an internet connection so i ended up doing the show a week ago from this gentleman's living room and i reached out to rick springfield and i reached out to george lynch and stephen pierce who are all the entertainment that day and ask them if they'd like to come on the show as guests and stephen did not do it i don't think he was there in time and honestly these guys are all friends stephen and george of course but i don't think stephen is still ready to talk about the rat thing and they're ready to go on the record with it so i gave do an interview with rick springfield which was a lot of fun and i'll probably bring that to you in a future podcast if i can but i this week wanted to kind of fast track george lynch interview a little bit because it pertains to rat and it made a ton of news on the various rock music websites right after the live radio show happen because lynch is a guy that is in a lot of different bands at the moment and there was a ruler floating around out there now tying george to the rat thing it's it's fairly well known at this point that warranty martinis no longer in rat steven pearson krause released a statement a couple of weeks ago saying that the new breed of rat was coming making no mention of warren it is been widely reported warren is out of the band and that press release would lead you to believe that is indeed the case so who is in rat beyond stephen and won nobody knows there was a rumor circulating that george lynch was approached about the gig george lynch would be a great fit for rat and i think if you're going to have any chance at really surviving without warranty martini you need to bring in a name noted player like george lynch that's just my opinion so it made sense it makes no sense why warren is out of the band and we don't know why still but if you're going to reach out to someone george is a pretty good place to start i think there would be a lot of people curious to hear what that would sound like and would be interested in that so in the conversation you're about to hear george drop by literally jumped out of this guy's pool and i've known judge for a long time i find him to be a great guy really do i find him very fun to talk to and honest and unfiltered engaging and george drop by and we hit on all of these various bands and projects that he is doing and the potential future of doing more with docket and all that sort of stuff and then i mentioned stephen peercy doering george's you're about georgia's interview what you're about to hear and i said i don't think stephen is ready to talk about rat yet and then george responded by saying something to the effect of well i can talk about rat and then it hit me at that moment wait a minute georgia's rumored to be joining rat let's see what he has to say and you'll hear what he has to say in the interview in just a couple of minutes but this was not planned this just happened and this made news like crazy because it confirmed a couple of things it confirmed that warranty martini is absolutely no longer a member of rat there still was no official statement but it's pretty obvious he's not it also confirmed something that more and more people are being transparent about that the music industry is a business and the money was not right and george was not happy with the deal and declined taking the offer nothing wrong with that bill ward said the same thing is he straddling said the same thing about why they didn't rejoin their benz you wanna fair shake you want certain amount of money.

"The app on demand on the sirius xm app for those that don't subscribe to sirius xm or for those that live outside of the us or canada here on the podcast you get a little sample of what idea on a daily basis on the radio show by pulling one of the interviews that i've done recently and presenting it to you with some fresh content around it here on this podcast and that's what i'm going to do with two interviews today the first of which made as i said a lot of news a week ago when it first aired and it didn't i didn't intend for that to happen nobody saw that coming but sometimes that's just how things go so last thursday i had the opportunity to host a private function a private concert event in at someone's home in austin texas there these private concerts are way more prominent than you would ever believe and the reason why you don't know about them happening is because they are private obviously by nature of what it is not opened the public it's not ticketed event people who have money who are wealthy and are able to afford it can hire any entertainment to play in people's backyards or in private settings or renting out clubs or what have you it is way more common than you think amongst wealthy people who are able to afford this everybody from bon jovi on has done private concerts corporate concerts concerts you would never know about so this was the second time i chance to work for this gentleman his name is randy in austin texas and he is gracious enough to hire me to host these events rim now and this time he had performing in his backyard rick springfield and george lynch along with jeff blando who actually puts a lot of this together from the musicals perspective and stephen peercy so i have to do as i've been telling you guys doing this daily radio.
