"In terms of animals that we hear a lot but we never see. Is there anyone with a higher ratio than the Creek? That's a good one. I don't think so. I really don't think so. Crickets are amazing. I have since I was a little kid. I can't tell you how many times I chased down. The sound of a cricket only get to within like five feet and it shuts up and I never can it no matter what and I had tried over and over which so many different types of cricket so many different kinds of sounds. So you're right. They are the best. That's a great great point. You made their gamma put it on the poll in terms of ratio to sound to being seen as their greater animal than cricket. "Well I'M NOT GONNA DEFEND MYSELF. I'm GonNa Majestically do so by saying that. The little tiny clock in the lower corner of my laptop doesn't have a second hand on it. In other words it might say eleven fifty four. It's not going to give me the countdown. Great so greg you can fix that and also you can just get a clock. That does that anywhere on the Internet. Just just go ahead and feel free to just type in time and see what it is. If something comes up there to help you I you don't have to call. It on this one. Greg I know that there was a time in our life where you actually had a telephone number that you could call in order to get that time. There is no such telephone number anymore. There's no need for that anymore. Put It on the poll. Guillermo do you remember the time when you could call a telephone number and learn what the time was at Lebatardshow on twitter Ron McGill of zoo Miami with US. Now Ron thank you for joining us as always. We've all got a lot of questions. The one I wanted to ask you though was in terms of being fascinated by communication by animals in a species. What is at the top of your list where you're watching I know. Dolphins are viewed very highly in this respect. But what's at the top of your list in terms of things? You've marveled at communication inside of a species. Well it's going to be mostly the marine mammals dolphins whales but also because elephants make sounds like we can't hear they make sounds heard for miles away other elephants subsonic found and they're so subtle there so incredible and I believe you know. Elephants are much more intelligent than we give them credit for and I think there's a whole language there that I would love to decipher Mike Ryan. What do you have for? Ron McGill of zoo. Miami Ron over the weekend Roy. From the magic duo siegfried and Roy. Pass away from Corona virus. He obviously has a pre existing condition his body weekend from a violent tiger attack. That occurred during their show now siegfried and Roy actually do a legitimate amount of good animal tiger conservation work. How do I reconcile all that? Great work in terms of conservation with the fact that they're putting these wild animals in their show and sometimes it might be unseemly to a wildlife expert like yourself. Yeah you know it it is. It is tough. I mean that's A. That's a tough one of swallow siegfried and Roy and not as much sick free. But Roy I mean he was passionate about animals and I gotta tell you something. He had a unique relationship with the animals. I mean tragically. What happened to him So often the case when you work so close with these animals for such a long period of time but I really think that he did love the animals he. I don't think he was caught up as much in the money and exploiting the animals even though in effect that's what he was doing He did put his money where his mouth and he gave hundreds of thousands if not millions of dollars to conservation efforts which is more than I can say for most of those other scumbags to pretend they're doing that thing okay. Roy Did put his money where his mouth is He he helped those cats I would not support him doing what he what he did. Now but I it's easier for me to swallow because of what he did and I guess people are going to say. Well that makes you a hypocrite. Because you're the Dan let me have it. You know you're GONNA get a lot of money. Okay that really okay for him to do it. But he wasn't abusing the animals and certainly wasn't Ripping cubs away for people to whole pay to take pictures okay. on the contrary his cubs were raised by their mothers And aspect I saw. Many films are the mother's raising the cubs and the mothers would let him get in with those with those comes which was incredible. That's what told me that this guy was special. There's a cup was a guy named Keith. Richardson and Africa. Who does incredible things with lions to again? That's something I would encourage anybody else to try to do. But the fact is he's got some kind of special bomb there and I think I think some people are more special than others when it comes to that or the real deal when it comes to that. Not some of these you know these clowns that Purport to be Something they're not Scott. What do you have for? Ron McGill Ryan out. Certain you heard the end of the Sports Center there. A story about a score ball fact. They Scorpion can hold. Its breath for up to six days. I'm wondering the animal that could hold his breath. The longest Scorpions do guys. I've you know now. Now now I wanNA tell you when I say go with the Scorpion on a normal a normal situation because their their like lung fish okay. That can try up in mud and a frog that can drive and look look like dead totally decimated that breathe it all for for months for months until the rains come and then all of a sudden they come back to life. But I don't know if you're talking about the same thing holding its breath. It goes into this total state of you know torpor hibernation worth not reading. It's not doing anything it's literally. Did I mean you can pick up these frogs fish that are in clay dry like like dry? You know horrible. Clay would not as you think this is dead. It's mummified desiccated. All of a sudden it rains and I think goes back to life. It's flipping amazing. Well what's the point of that? What is that? Why can it do that? And why in because of the weather Dan because what happens sometimes you have. Droughts animals have survived drought. How do they do that? Well adapted now to go into this torpid state. Dry Up like their dead mummies and then you think they're dead. I mean literally you can break them in half and then they would be dead because you brought them in half but if you beat them alone and you let the moisture they fill up with water they they rehydrate they come to light freaking amazing. It's it's an adaptation to to life in the wild to climate change. Two different things rain changes droughts over flooding all kinds of things. I mean it'd be great thing about it because all of a sudden you ran out of food if you can go into torpid state not eat anything not breathe not do anything and all of a sudden the rains came back and the food came back and you can eat okay. Iran. I wake up and I'm good again. Think Chris what are you have for? Ron McGill of zoo. Miami run.

"On AM Tampa Bay and George Karl cintas to me, but story about ISIS is plotting to send people into the US across the Mexican border because it's so easy to get across there. They can be caught porch eventually and things like that. But they can just whip right across the border come in here and commit terrorist, acts and never get caught. And that's something we've talked about again. And again, and finally, that somebody is caught onto that and they're talking about it. And they got in the word now confession from a captured ISIS fighter has talked about how they intend to exploiting the vulnerabilities of the US border with Mexico, using English speakers and westerners to take advantage of smuggling routes and target financial institutions and things like that. So that's something we've talked about. We need and on top of that, because of the threat of tariffs on the part of President Trump June tenth tariff deadline, Mexico has now pledged to what do you think are going to build a wall, down there between them in Central America? I don't think they're going to do that. No. They're going to deploy six thousand troops to the border that borders, only about one hundred fifty miles. It's not like our two thousand mile border with Mexico. But are you not satisfied with that Jack? I think that's a great idea. That's what we need to do. Send three divisions down there. To protect our border. That's what the military is for to protect our country. They're not protecting our country and Iran or Iraq or Afghanistan. They can protect them down on the southern border. And I don't know why we don't send do what the Mexicans are doing. They're saying, okay we're going to try to stop the flow. We send military people down. I don't think three's. Right. Maybe we should up into six divisions. Well, six divisions, whatever takes. Okay, on top of that, though. I like the fact that silence seekers will have to the first country they stop in, which if you're from Central America will have to be Mexico. You have to seek asylum their first before you move on. So that, that's something that will stop that flow because a lot of central Americans are skipping Mexico coming straight for the US border. Oh, yeah, definitely. So, because of all the goodies they get that you are paying for with your tax dollars who got people in VA hospitals. We got our, our veterans, don't get as much as these illegal immigrants. These lawbreakers are getting better benef-. Fits than our darn veterans are getting, it's unbelievable. And they've got to stop that flow coming in here. It's just crazy. And they've had record numbers of undocumented than that's got a lefty wrote this story undocumented immigrants. That would be record number of illegal immigrants flooded.

"Our number George Karl sent me something on the we were talking about earlier about Democrats now, basically threatening to pack the supreme court. They don't like factors. Conservative benign people on there since it started in the early eighteen hundreds they want to add to it. And I mentioned FDR's packing plant that was in nineteen thirty seven. He submitted a reorganization plan to congress would allow the court to meet the problems of insufficient personnel and superannuated judges and in the packing plan as it was known buys opponents. He said there should be an additional Justice appointed for every sitting one over the age of seventy and it arose from frustration. That is attempt should putting together a full new DO program were being stymied by the court. And even though congress had a majority of Democrats at the time the plan was resoundingly defeated in congress seventy against twenty four because they said it undermined the independence of the courts in violation of the constitution. And I would agree with that. Basically he was unhappy with the courts for doing. So he wanted to stack them or pack them, and he didn't do it. And that's exactly. What the Democrats are talking about doing? Now, they don't like having a conservative court. So they want to pack the court. Hey before we hear a bizarre story from the rowdies last night. And Jeff was there. First of all I want to talk about what we got on our Twitter sites. Trending. Here's.

And I wanna bet at a whole bunch of new stuff here. Katie first of all tell us about our survey should girls be allowed to be in on the cross toss at Tarpon springs. So actually our audience is seventy eight percent know that the women should not be a part of it. Good. No soup Carlton. Good. Why can you have a separate cross toss? That would be okay. The bottom line for me. Leave it up to the church, whatever the. Do it's up to them. That is true. I think George Karl was saying we don't tell Muslims. What to do? We're not gonna tell the Greeks. What to do? It's up to them. You may not agree with it. But it's up to them. Someone on Twitter did say if anything have a separate one for the young woman, and I agree with that have a separate event. I don't think that the girls and boys should be jumping together. I think that would be dangerous. I I'm not against having a separate event for them. Okay. Yeah. I agree. And again, it's a celebration of the baptism of Jesus that involved all men the disciples Christ. John the Baptist. Everything didn't involve any women at that time. But again, let them have a separate one. Because I think it could be a little dangerous for girls to get involved in those guys scrambling to get that cross. I agree. "We were talking about New York City now is planning to add a non binary x two birth certificates for people who don't identify as male or female, they can change their gender designation on their birth certificates to X would if I don't want to be identified by the letter x Krino us another letter. What do you feel like today, maybe elementary? Oh, okay. Duffy grady. I feel like h two o. Anyway, it will allow transgender people who change their birth gender. To put it on their birth certificates without an affidavit from Dr mental health, blah, blah, blah. Anyway, George Karl sent he's almost like a member of the show. I told him I got to pay him, Jack, Aaron Jeff Katie, and George you got to pay us. I don't think I was about to say Aaron you you speaking for yourself because my money ain't coming out of my paycheck. I love George Karl, but I can't afford to pay George Karl. Anyway, they've got heterosexual, which we the first couple are the ones, we know heterosexual homosexual, lesbian, and bisexual if you're attracted to two or or I like this two or more genders. Two or more gender. That's where it begins. I feel like there's two genders. That's that's science. There are two genders. We don't even have time to read them all in here pan sexual poetry. It started here about in the last couple years when you're in love with pans on track to do all genders. And you don't concern gender when you're attracted to some wouldn't that be bisexual? Pan sexual and buys because by in intimates there only two. There are many many more than two. But when you would you look sorry when you look at bisexual says when you're attracted to two or more genders, very confused pan. Sexual is like, this is what I learned because I have a friend who identifies as pan sexual and they go based off what they think lake what their mindset is. And they don't judge entirely on looks at all it's not a gender thing. They just don't go based off of looks. I could be wrong about that. But he says he just goes by the intellectual does he go by he yes, he is a guy a lot of makeup. But he's the guy do you trust that your friendship would still be attacked with this person. If we had him on the air and started asking what he's fabulous you, probably love it Fabio short for Peter Pan. Sexual is. Feathers. This interesting how like this one by curious people who are open to experiment with genders that are not only their own. But don't know if they're open to forming any sort of relationship gender by curious. So they don't want relationship here about thirty of these are these just like that. Your sexuality. That's when you're in your in your learning and learning what you are. That's sleeping around is what that is again got Polly sexual attracted, many genders. These all seen the same many to do. We're katie's trisexual. Did you know that try sexual try anything? Motto sexual being attracted only one gender modest sexual. But isn't that the same as heterosexual aloe sexual when you're not a sexual? I thought that was when you've really had a bad sunburn, and you just really needed aloe, aloe. Drove sexual being attracted to masculine gender presentation. What does that even mean guy, no sexual being attracted to feminine gender presentation? We gotta stop here because think about it heterosexual. If I'm heterosexual I'm attracted to females so am I a guy no sexual as well? I guess you're a guy. No, sexual all men are guy. No sexual sexual questioning people who are debating their own sexuality or gender periodic when you're sexual and romantic orientation, targets, the same gender in Lord Arnie, understand Berio or hetero. Normative kiss shea someone who's both SIS gendered heterosexual vegan sexual. That is. It goes on and on Mon Mon amorous. Queer? That's what we used to use. The term was queer before the term. You said to go all the way to the bottom. Defined? Yeah. There are more. I mean, it goes on more of valley a supporter of the LGBT community that does not identify as LGBT. Why does it have to be a name for? Why can't you just be somebody that supports them? An alley. Is it didn't ally is I don't know. You're taking the fun out of sex. Let's crazy. But that's not how I spell L A. Yeah. We were bringing that up along with then then the other craziness year students at a high school football game. And they were honoring nine eleven because the game was being played then. And anyway, they were told to stop chanting USA USA because you're playing a school that had a lot of Hispanics in it. And they said it was racist that they were yelling USA this country is no Handbasket while you're not allowed to hell. You're not allowed to have the pride in your country that we used to have. And it was something that was celebrate. Yeah. And just take me on the dam national anthem God. Anyway, Rick as a comment to make about genders, sex and everything. What are you by the way? I'm I'm just a guy on your side. Okay. Guy. Against us. Just ask your confusing the issue by confusing the worst gender. It is is feeling sect is what people are people have sex gender. You don't sex an animal. I mean, gender an animal you animal to determine what sex it is. You understand? Yeah. Well, we can get into genders as well sex gender, gender transgender transsexual things like that. That's dealings though, that's emotions, that's the way people act. Sex is a very specific thing, you're either or one sector or the other. Yeah. Gender when you mean sex. Yeah. That's what I was saying earlier just grab your crotch. And what do you feel down there? That. Right. Yeah. Yeah. And that'll generally tell you what you are. If you've gotten old enough that you can read and all that stuff J cheese. What am I just take your hand? Put it down there. What if you don't know if somebody else is just reached down there? Are you there? Hey, grab a right by the ember. Hey, that's what president did. Right. He wanted to find out if it was a girl or not. Grab your own check. I think I'm gonna do have sex words have gender. Yeah. There you go. Now, you're right about that. But it's how you have sex determine what you are. Or what you've got down there should determine what you are. Anyway, we've wasted way. Too much time on this. We got other things we're going to end up talking about hopefully, you enjoy your breakfast during that conversation. Yeah. The hurricane and red tide. Still plaguing our penelas shores. And. Treasure Island and a couple of others are. The big downturn in tourists here and everything is you might expect. They went through that in Sarasota a few weeks ago. And I know we were down there. Then I can understand why. But anyway, now happening on the Pinellas speeches. Let's hope that ends soon. We could use a little storm here to get rid of that. It's six Twenty-nine on AM. "So here's, one guy target about cousins being able to shoot the three and. I want to move on I wanna take, these calls versed on cousins and then we'll go to some other stuff is again, Boston and on the hub, you're on CBS sports radio Hey there I just think that I'm on your side actually for I think that book is a good bit in. Angle bay because one, of the things, you haven't really brought up that each shoots the three really well. And along with being able to grounding countdown, low is able to shoot the three and make an impact in the warriors system, for how it currently, belt He said even, he's been, on? Record as saying he made you know they'll be games. Where he gets five. Shots, that's. It so per shops comment about him scoring ten that. Might be the case but I still personally I believe differently I believe that when you play with really good players and you are a good player and, you're a big man of his size where you're talking about you know what is he six ten to eighty or something like that six eleven to eighty I mean he. Is just a huge man and all I know is is that. He's always, been at twenty one and twelve. Guy no matter what. So. I mean he's he's done even better than that he's had twenty five. As an average he's you know this career twenty one. Twelve but you know he's. He's been a, twenty four twenty five point guy so, and yeah you're right he can shoot the three I've seen him do it many times so he can dagger three shat couldn't do that but whatever shack was a better player than DeMarcus cousins hands down, but he he? Definitely couldn't, shoot like him I like guys game, now a, lot of, people don't like a lot of people say. In Sacramento. He was a cancer and all the rest and eat they never made, the playoffs and, I, mean that's easy. To say in my opinion when everybody around here was johnke and then all these crappy coaches he played for the only coach he played for ever that, even had, any? Kind of a career am I wrong is is George. Karl am I wrong I mean who did? He play for The he's played for. West smart, Malone Corbin and. George Karl, I mean let's face facts I mean George Karl's. "What's happening thanks to join us tolbert lund on a wednesday really ready giants and cubs in the nineteen we got a bunch of stuff to talk about with george karl demarcus cousins is a worthy conference lebron james is a laker all those things and he joins us courtesy of the gasline george what's up what's up coach las vegas and why my son's a coach i'm trying to help them up oh okay well that that's a good reason that's a good reason kobe coaching for sounds very lakers head coach a good for him hey let's say it's always fun the lakers beat me about more time they buy in the world so so he he likes liquorland unfortunately well we're going to make a living right sure i'm making no you've already made a living already good yourself i'm not collecting more money john lund tom tolbert with were talking to go to the nuggets sonics amongst other teams goldstein warriors george karl one of my former partners at espn and abc back in the in the day gives your thoughts on the warriors signing demarcus cousins in your thoughts you coached him for a few years there in sacramento your thoughts on him as a player from head coaching perspective a win i think it's a win win i actually think the one winter demarcus because you don't have to russia's injury back and it's not a good injury but in the same sense i think you know demarcus can come back from it and be successful and i'm sure that's i just think the philosophy behind it the pedigree of being a championship team and being able to put boundaries on some of his dysfunctional attitudes at times i won't be that difficult to put in putting in place i think being on a winning team is is the best coach in basketball and he hasn't been on them very often and i think he will understand that winning is is what you wanna be in there you wanna be on when you and life is a lot easier when you went fifty to sixty games every year then let us fifty to sixty games every how do you think you'll fit assuming that he is healthy at some point how do you think he'll fit on the court what would be the best way to utilize him well the game he's a he has a high iq would give them a low post presence you know i'm not sure they wanna low post presence and it will give them the rebound pain presence which they right now don't play with very often at times last year i thought they got rebounding seemingly to me got going got doing it bad place in some days but the things that they like to do and that's play fast shoot the ball score quickly and then people are very good passer any there you understands the name of the high level and i think he'll sit in very quickly at the office the court and i think you'll be upgrade defense away his negative energy that comes in different packages i think there's going to be controlled pretty easily by winning as i said by winning and by by being on a pedigree of trying to win a championship that's funny i don't think it's i don't think it'll be an issue either coach because they've already won the guys on the team that he's played with with the olympics the usa squad they're not gonna put up with that anyway and he i think he is mature enough now to understand.

"And end up winning a championship but you gotta be able to communicate with them see with less talented players you better have a pretty good scheme and get guys open shots build a cover up stuff like that and also communicate but when you have the talent you better be able to communicate with the guys because these guys can go out there and i've said it before i think if you took the entire coaching staff off the bench they win fifty they could easily win fifty they're that good that's how talented they are so i don't know how many they'd win without him but he deserves a hell of a lot of credit for keeping this together because it's not as easy as it looks i don't think it's david west oh my gosh you guys all right you know bleep your pants and we found that was going on i don't think it's that but there are challenges and i know steve told me this was a tough as year form trying to get through these guys buttons when they deer lake i told him that we we've had plenty conversations off the air and he's like god i just can't can't push the right buttons and he said i'm not sharing anything he hasn't said on the air after we've talked but yeah i told him i go dude you think you haven't pushed the right button that button doesn't exist there is now well when we were talking to to former coaches have have said this very thing jeff gun was on the show and george karl was on the show van gundy called the complacency and carl called the egos and they're right what are you going to say he's lucky that curry is like a tim duncan for this team to what to make the comparison with the spurs durant's kind of the same way draymond a little off the rails but he does know his role he's he knows that this is kind of what he does he plays defense he he kind of feels a lot of the cracks same with clay he's got the mentality you gotta get lucky with it because not only do you need talent you need guys who will sacrifice for the right of the team draymond green could be a total ass and say look i'm not getting enough look steve won't let me shoot.
