"Upper of sexual assault from Jordan. Who was talking about the left and something left something something silencing something. Something. Okay. Yes. This would be the Rolling Stone piece about Jim Jordan's disastrous search for a few state whistleblower. I bet Jim Jordan's what she could find on these guys computer handles. Which is they had less of a person amendment. Wow. Wow, wow. So it turns out what they have, the dozens of whistleblowers. He talked about, it turns out, so far, to be three cranks that, uh, were. But by the FBI, but are complete nutcases. George Hill, that would be one of them former FBI, admitted he had little or no firsthand knowledge of alleged deep state scandals instead he brought back its of his own, a history of inflammatory commentary on social media. There was a tweet in which he said Nancy Pelosi had blood on her hands. Oh, and then this was the one he wrote cancer go faster in response to a tweet from representative Lauren boebert claiming that President Biden had been diagnosed with cancer. That was obviously false, but correct. Yeah. He'll repeatedly declined to respond to questions inside of his First Amendment rights. He'd later go on to conservative talk show to accuse Democrats of trying to paint him as a right-wing nut job. Because they couldn't handle his message. I'm sorry. He went on a talk show to talk about how they were. Well, please. Right. First Amendment. Okay. Jim Jordan opened his first hearing valley that he'd heard from dozens and doesn't. I forgot about that, not just a dozen dozens. At least 24. Yeah, at least 24. Yeah. It's about something blah blah. Whatever. What if sensation Justice Department? Um, so there's these three cranks. That's who they've brought. So if this is the best they've got, I guess these three. They've offered contradictory responses, maintains fringe and violent online presences that undermine their credibility fail to demonstrate firsthand knowledge of alleged FBI wrongdoing one Democrat described as a dumpster fire, a Republican said it's been very much amateur hour. And if we put this stuff on live TV, it will make us look like morons. Do it. Now a warning. Put him on live TV. Jordan and now a warning. As he concludes as Jordan concluded his first weaponization hearing last month, Fox host, Jesse watters said, I'm sick of these hearings. Make me feel better, guys. Tell me this is going somewhere. Can I throw someone in prison? Can someone go to jail? Can someone get fired? One well-known conservative media host tells Rolling Stone after the hearing this person reached out to their contacts on the panel to express their baffled disappointment with the offerings. The source says their criticism amounted to scolding the committee saying something like, come on, guys. You have to do better than that. That would be Fox News

The Dinesh D'Souza Podcast
The FBI's Egregious Violations of Privacy Rights
"I talked about this on the podcast yesterday. Which is to say, I talked about how the FBI right after January 6th was pressuring banks to supply information to the FBI about individuals who had any connection with Washington D.C.. They went to Washington, D.C.. They stayed in hotels. They made credit card purchases in the larger D.C. area. And the FBI puts out a wide net. Now, how do we know about this? Because an FBI agent, a former FBI guy George Hill, testified before the House judiciary committee, and he goes the FBI was chasing people with absolutely no prior indication of having committed a crime. These were not the people who quote went into the capitol, the FBI had no idea if they did or didn't. They just said, let's catch everybody who was in the larger D.C. area and they were making their field offices follow up, get this bank information and then go check out those people. Look at their names, their social security numbers, perhaps their bank records, their criminal histories. This is a gross violation of privacy and a violation of our individual rights like as the government does have the right to take a look, but only if there's probable cause. Well, I mean, it also, you have to go back to the hearing with Nicole Parker, right? Yes, that's her name. Parker. Where she said, she actually admitted that the FBI, part of the FBI, was so politicized that they were playing politics, and that's exactly what these guys were doing. They were playing politics.

Kyle Seraphin: Personal Thoughts on How to Fix the FBI
"If you were in charge tomorrow kind of a king for a day like a proffer session but what you say in that proper that's it that's going to be gospel right What would you do to fix the FBI and bring it back to an organization we can all be proud of rather than sadly where we've come through now So I grew up in a household My dad was a marketing guy and there's a point when your brand is so tarnished that you got to rebrand it You got to just shut it down I don't think you could reopen an enron today like no one's going to go into that there And I think the FBI has done a thing that is maybe an insurmountable optical to their brand At least with half this country And so you know given the opportunity I would shut the thing down and I would move people into places where they belong you know potentially even open up just a pure straight law enforcement entity to do it But if we're not going to do that and I don't think there's any political will to do so Breaking off that domestic intelligence mission it has to go away and it can't be part of law enforcement That doesn't mean they can't communicate with law enforcement But you can't have people that were in my job who have a law enforcement oath a badge and a gun and the authorities to go do it You know doing intelligence work domestically It's incredibly dangerous and it's going to lead to overstep And there's something I'm going to leave you with which I think is really powerful I talked to a guy named George Hill the other day former NSA retired FBI analyst So he was an Intel guy And his statement to me is very profound I think it's the problem that we have in one sort of basic sense Before 9 11 the concept of national security meant to continuation of our federal republic and the protection of the constitution as its guiding document And after 9 11 on September 12th 2001 national security meant nobody dies from terrorism in America And that is an unsustainable goal because you end up with the Chinese state of welding people into their house and the padded room and giving them Netflix and giving them Amazon deliveries And then everybody has to just stay home and hide Because you just can't have freedom and overall 100% safety I think it's a really really interesting thing that Americans need to reflect on and decide how much risk are they willing to accept and they've got to accept more if they want freedom

"So Chris, what do you make of their offensive struggles? Are you willing to chalk it up to, hey, they need their guys back or are you now in a position where you're maybe worried about Milwaukee? So I'm going to put a lot of it on just they have the 5th worst offense in the NBA. Right. So you mentioned before those Tom thibodeau bowls, which I always thought that they were really interesting from the standpoint of they obviously played a lot of time without Derek rose. And they held their own, you know, largely because of what you pointed out, they played their best players long minutes, even when rose was out, which was risky given that rose might have gotten hurt for that same reason. Anyway, you know, they could hold the fort for just long enough, but then I've always wondered, and there's not really a way to determine it definitively. But I've always wondered if when a team goes without a guy for so long, then they finally get that guy back and then they're right back out of the lineup again because they get hurt or because they like physically aren't right. I've always wondered if that kind of like it would be like if you ran a marathon, you get to the finish line and then when you get through the finish line, I actually got another four miles coming around. Like that has to be just kind of like, God, you know, I'm tired, I'm exhausted. And I think the bucks have enough defense to stay competitive and win a lot of these games. But one, Giannis can't play every minute because butt is not going to butt is not going to be Jason Kidd here and play his superstar 8 million minutes. If anything, we've seen the opposite in the playoffs before where he's subbing on us out with like two minutes left in a game to get him a breather. But I just wonder on some level are the guys exhausted from trying to hold down the fort for so long with that Middleton. Also Middleton is like the most traditional star have, really. Right. Where I just kind of feel like creating Giannis is capable of doing it obviously is a great passer, but he's got deficiencies that make Middleton the more dangerous player of the two. In certain moments, which is why that's stupid thing a playoff run or two ago where we were like, you know, Batman and Robin, but honest is Robin. You remember, so but if you have to have those conversations, there's obviously some truth to it that Middleton is just the guy that he's more of a mid range threat. You know, he's more of a three level scorer than Giannis. So I think that that takes a toll. I mean, if you look at it just on a base level, the role guys, a lot of the bench players have just not shot well this year. Bobby portis has had a perfectly fine year, but he's shot 32% from three. Pat Connaughton normally a very good three point shooter, one of the ones they rely on the most as a role guy shooting 31% George Hill 31%. Joe inglis, who's new to the rotation, but like his playing 20 minutes a game, 31%. So Wes Matthews 31%.

"And then on the other end of the floor, it kind of feels like the opposite, right? box kind of run the floor force them to get set up. Giannis, for whatever reason, insists on taking all these jump shots late in games, which as long as you get the rebound, which they did 50 50 last night, but you know, if he's going to take those jump shots, let them take the jump shots, get the rebounds. That's free possessions right there. I think they've got to figure it out. Two or three left, two at the garden. The bucks look really discouraged last night. That Al Horford dunk really felt like a breaking point. It really did. Color could turning point in the series. And you mentioned, yeah, they kind of had that buck's defense figured out. I think the mid range game is figuring it out, right? They want to give you threes, and they want to protect the rim. They want you to shoot threes. And I think what this all just have noticed is that if they pick and roll against the bucks, then add Al Horford 12 footer is there all day long. And that's what he made Adele said after the game, they got Al Horford at 30 points because they kind of figured out that the pick and pop is there because Brooke Lopez is protecting the rim. He's not going to move from under the hoop. So he doesn't watch Jalen Brown, Jason Taylor, Marcus smart to get to the cup. So Al Horford is wide open there for the little pick and pop and then late in the game they started switching everything and now they're getting Jayson Tatum on George Hill in the mid post and that seems to be the way they figured out this defense. I brought some stats to the Boston sportsman. Okay. Because you know, I've been texting you a lot about Giannis throughout this series. And this is not that I haven't watched Yana's play before, but when you start to watch the same player play four or 5 games in a row, four games in a row is it's been now. You start to really understand who he is as a player. These stats in the series for Giannis are honestly remarkable. So I pulled his shooting stats by what the MBA calls zone, but we can also call it by distance, right?.

"Was intentional, but I don't know what Giannis is doing, but he looked gas. He had no intention of running back on defense. And I think that was kind of the point where he didn't want Marcus to go back either. And it didn't matter because corporate hit this huge hook shot that pretty much kind of put the Celtics on top for a final time. So there's a lot of madness, I think, but that was like the one moment in the fourth quarter that looking back. I was like, wow, this was kind of like, there was a lot happening here, you know? There was a lot happening in the fourth quarter in general, but between the substitutions and what ended up happening in the rest of the game. I was kind of surprised that the bugs, you know, it didn't take you out, George Hill. Email was asked about it obviously it was a funny moment, but it was so, to me, I was so like, I was so a little surprised by the end of it and all the substitutions and all that madness. Yeah, it's funny now, like George Hill in the 2019 playoffs, absolutely murdered the Celtics in that series in the second round. Straight up like outplayed Kyrie Irving. And the would have the bucks like putting up big runs when Yas is on the bench. George O three years later is not fully washed, but certainly not someone coming off of an injury that you would expect. You can see obviously bud. Trust him a lot to be like, okay, George Hill is back. We're gonna throw him in to these pivotal moments, but it's just, I don't know. He just Tatum was just filming at the mouth when he got to stay out there when I took it out. But I guess that was the point of how the southern kind of played this game down the stretch and they went small broke low pretty much played brook Lopez off the floor to the point where the bucks had to go small. They felt like to match up and then that's when Tatum and smart kind of had their way late after corporate kind of set the table for them early in the quarter. Yeah, yeah. And or for it kind of said it after the game, like Marcus is impact was very well seen, but I thought he had a few couple of huge plays, you know, it wasn't just offense like the charge you took on January 8 in the game..

"I don't know how you feel about it but I just think there's such like a luck factor when it comes to closing out clutch games, right? In terms of the timing and everything, but like I wrote about it on the piece and that's all I have, but the jewel holiday shot that put them up three. That was realistically like all the things that I thought it was pretty lucky like a bounced in. You kind of got tangled up with potato. Credit to holiday for making that shop, right? That could have easily been amiss and then we're talking about a completely different situation. But it's all extremely down one with dozens left. I realistically like a miss there, I thought I was wondering it too before I play like if holiday myths that I think maybe emails with just letting you know, it doesn't call a timeout. Similarly, the game on a gun. So I saw a lot of parallels there, right? And it's just like basketball is difficult thing, especially like down the switch and everything. Obviously you're on the road, so that's a little bit different. But I think there's just like a luck factor where the subjects weren't if they had two more seconds on the clock, right? However, for its tip and probably goes in. But I still think you can kind of look back at the decision making and come away a little bit frustrated for yourself just because things could have been better. One buck at one play, one differently. Yesterday. Yeah. All sorts of complaining about the officiating, but your point, the bottom line, the game was there for them. They were up one, they had a chance to go up for on multiple occasions. They had chances to get stops on holiday and the honest to play before that, and then those guys just executed. And the southern state and that's where we are. So heading more into Monday here. We saw the tweaks, the bucks made George Hill came back. He wasn't really much of a factor at all. I honestly barely noticed he was on the court. So, but if you are I may here heading into game three, game four, are you mixing anything up based on what you've seen from guys in this series so far based on just how this thing is progressing and what the bucks are trying to do with you, not.

"They're taking kind of ISO while you drop Brooke low prices is dropping off. So I'm going to shoot this, but I've got drew holiday contesting on from the side. There are obviously different levels of quality of threes. But they should take a lot of reason this series because that is what the defense is geared to give them. If Al Horford throw into that file or for three again, like you did against the nets and not on huge volume, but if he makes two threes, if he makes literally two, three is a game, then that's a big boost as well. And if he's willing to shoot them relatively quickly, which I think was the other good thing in the net series that he obviously was feeling confident about it because he wasn't shy about taking them. And so you end up with lineups where you can put a decent amount of shooting out there. And so in terms of X factors, there's a popular conversation today on Twitter and Reddit and whatever else the role of Peyton Pritchard in this series and, oh, is this a series where you try to play less Derek white? And can you get more patent Pritchard out there and because they are playing content or Grayson Allen or whomever it might be or George Hill or javon Carter like you have places you can put in, is this a series for being Pritchard? We'll see. I suspect that it will be a pretty heavily defensive series. And then your threes are swingy, right? And that's sort of what decides some of the games along the way. So I think Derek white still has a big role to play in this series. But if he's one of 11, then yeah, they'll have to go somewhere else and you would think that would be Pritchard, particularly on a team that has some weaknesses on the perimeter under even the best of circumstances, but with Middleton out, those shots will be there. And he's obviously not afraid. He has all the confidence in the world and his ability to shoot and rightly so you could end up there as well. But yeah, I mean, it's the playoffs, right? Three point shooting is the sort of swingy thing that wins most series, although against first round sometimes like this last series, it almost doesn't matter. But because it's just the talent disparity. But in this series, they're going to have to shoot and they're going to have to make. And they've got the personnel to do it. But you still got to go out and have the ball go through. And to on the plus side, I thought it's not friendly. I think emea doke has willingness to.

"There and find a way because Giannis is going to play a ton of minutes anyway, but if you can find a way to get him off the floor a little earlier than they wanted to, that can be something you could exploit here to try and trying to win those non Yanis minutes because it's very similar to the nets and what Boston was going to try and do. I don't know if they totally did it all the time is when the non Durant minutes. They're going to definitely have to win the nanjiani and they're going to win this series. And I'm not, you know, I'm not saying it's going to be easy because they have other guys that can score. But trying to find ways to be honest off the floor. And how to win those minutes is going to be, I think, pretty much the key to this series is how well Boston can either take the lead, maintain the lead, lengthen their lead over Milwaukee, you know, in those short minutes, 'cause I mean, I don't know about you guys, but I'm expecting you guys to play 38, 39, 40, 41, 42 minutes a game here. I mean, I know pod has had some issues with that in the past. I know people have given him a lot of flack for that. Like, why aren't you playing Giannis 42 minutes in a do or die game 7 or whatever? But I think you might have learned that last year. And I think that's something that if I'm eBay and I'm bossed and I'm planning on them playing Giannis a lot. So how do you win the nanya Smith? It's going to be huge. I think Milwaukee, you know, George Hill is out too, and I don't think there is any timeline when he comes back, but Milwaukee's not shallow right now. They don't have a lot of depth. Yet can not go gray so now. But that's kind of a small rotation. I just don't want grace now on to hurt anybody. Yeah, I'm very attracted to people about that. I'm nervous about that. But he's been playing well too..

"He's great on offense, but he definitely can get picked on and we'll get picked on defense. George Hill is another option. He's in and out of the lineup. His plus minus is incredible this year, but he's also George Hill, and he's like 55 years old. What about my guy Carter? Who have liked for four years? He's been, he's been a revelation. I mean, it feels like the upgrade when Brooklyn dropped him to get drug itch. I think I'd rather have Carter. And we played against Utah a couple of weeks ago. And Utah was missing a few guys. So they had to go pretty small. So we played holiday and Carter together and just wiped their offense out in the fourth quarter. And the bucks came down, came down and won that game. So I like him a lot, particularly against Brooklyn could be a great option if they're going to play Kyrie and Seth Seth curry who are both pretty small. We can play holiday and Carter on them. And then we can come back and just run that middle to be honest pick and roll. It's going to be pretty tough for them to handle. So Carter, this is his fourth year in the league. He's a Memphis year one, goes to Phoenix, bubble season. Then Chris Paul obviously shows up. They don't need him anymore. Gets traded to Brooklyn. He's behind all those guys. He's never really had a chance. He's for his career as a 38% three point shooter for the bucks, 11 games, 55%. I like him though. I've always, I was always kind of, I was kind of hoping the Celtics would get him actually because it just seemed like he was out there, but I think if you're talking about if you're going to make a list of like, who are the most fucking random guys in the planet who are actually going to be involved in a playoff series this year? I think he's at the top of my list. I think he's going to pay for you. I think he's going to be out there and crunch time. As you said against the nets against teams that are a little smaller and people are going to be going, wait a second, is Carter playing crunch time for them, but I do think I do think it's a play. And you mentioned portis. Portis is averaging 15 and 9 this year. I know. I started mostly. It's funny because yes, because the bucks at the end of the year. Yeah, you're right. He started to mount like a 6 man of the year campaign for him, but because Lopez got hurt, he's ended up starting too much to qualify. But it's one of those things too where, you know, the problem with a guy being out is not necessarily the lineups that he plays in. It's like the knockdown effects down down the line. So portis comes in and that's pretty good, but when portis and Giannis are sitting, like we had like boogie cousins, we have our second round pick playing. Now we have Serge Ibaka, who's a little bit washed, I think is a fair way to put it. But now you have Lopez back in. It looks like he's probably going to start. In the next game or two, maybe tonight. And then Ford is coming in off the bench, like now that that just changes the dynamic of your bench units. You have much more scoring. He is the kind of guy who has a really nice back to the basket game. You can toss it into him..

"He's not the same player he was. You could tell obviously utah has rudy gobert download so his finishing is going to be affected by that but just even just the way he got up. You could tell But in terms of his development especially for the guards. 'cause i think that's been the biggest thing for me like even to last year. Was you just had to add competent big to the roster to really help like with pick and roll development. 'cause that's i think the biggest thing for shea right now. His interior passing is a step or two behind. It's not his fault. There just hasn't been a real big for him. Ever develop that with in terms of on ball production so overall i like derrick favors. I do think it sucks that. Like if you planned on buying him out anyways probably should have done it in just not cut someone During training camp. But i don't see a scenario where they have to. They attach a pick to get rid of him. This is a guy who has two years nine mil per year. I'm pretty sure left on his contract so it's not a incredibly big contract but it's just one of those things that i think. Eventually they probably by out. I know there's. I've seen some people like the cap guys talk about. How oh case. He still has potential to make like a mac slot for like a salary. Dump move but i think favors is just like we talked about al horford last year in george hill like. That's a vet on the team that they're willing to you know maybe. Try to build up their value against solely because of their good character guy. They're gonna be good for the locker room. I do think a golic chambers is important for that type of stuff too just because as you said the thing with the veteran presence going back to it is how is this team gonna feel in january when they've won four or five games you know like while fully has like everything from interview questions has answered. He fully understands knows what division is in. I'm guessing the same. These young guys but josh giddy said on a live how he. He plans on making the playoffs this year. And it's like you know like it's it's one of those things especially when you're young like losses can take a toll And it'll be easier than last year last year. You're getting beat down by fifty to the pacers and empty arena. Unlike a chilly march day. It's just scenarios..

"Now that could come back to haunt them when it gets to the 16 game season, but as we've mentioned, with the hawks and with the heat on opposite sides of this, play off questions don't matter for winters. Yep. All of the bucks questions are playoff questions. For me, pretty solid door. I think this would be in the 56 and a half range. Yeah. I agree. I think it's probably a couple wins low. The only thing that worries me is drew holiday and Chris Middleton, like not having enough of a break in starting very slowly. Yeah, which again is I think why they address the backcourt depth the way that they did. Yeah. I think they did that, and they said, all right, we can we can kind of weather the storm and maybe give those guys. A little bit of a breather. Like George Hill is going to be a non factor in the playoffs. Much in the same way that like Bryn Forbes was. Right. And in the same way that George Hill has been a non factor for the last like three teams he's played on. Including the books, like two or three years ago. So I think they know what they're giving and all it is is like, look, George Hill, in that system, George Hill dominated in the regular season a couple of years ago and there was a no show. The dude shot like 47% from three. Yeah. He's gonna look good in the regular season and then I think they have to be ready to pull the plug in the playoffs. But he can take some minutes, they can rest, drew, you mentioned all the guys that get back in the backcourt. Take a little bit of that pressure off of Chris have him play, you know, he can take a game off here and there. Or just like, they did a lot better job last year just being like, hey, these guys are going to play 29 minutes and then we're getting them out there. And so I think bud learned how to actually do the minute management thing that we had always hated from him, which is like play you guys more when it matters and play your guys less when you don't have to, and he got that. And I think we'll see that. He's pretty good at managing managing the regular season minutes and still winning. 'cause he gets the guys to buy in on, hey, if you hear up 20 in the third quarter, you don't have to play anymore. You know? He's pretty big about giving guys in on that. Okay. We're both solidly over that's going on that on the bet sheet. This one, I think is not going on the bedsheet for me the Knicks, 41 and a half. I just don't know what to do with this team. "And so, we'll see how that plays out as well. I think. So. What where do you think the mindset is dead? Game because I was having similar thoughts and people were saying something should should sign George Hill. Like, I don't know if there's anything anything reputable. I heard that in my text, right? It came across. Hey, what if they send George Hill, it's like George Hill goes to a team that is a contender at this point in his career, the Celtics are in a position where I think they're better off. Trying to find like a younger point guard. To give them in Memphis to take a chance on some people. See if you can strike go off, even fucking bronze, right? Someone that an unexpected contributor to this new core. So that that's where you may. I hope and Brad are going to approach this season. Yeah, I mean that it's been I think it's a great player in terms of like you see what everyone is going everywhere right now for veterans minimums, whether it's l a you know Patty Mills for just a taxpayer mid-level like you could have gotten more money. Always got to figure out more money. But the song, you know, there is what they can offer is opportunity in the Sand Point of. Like, if you are a useful, especially some depth, as a 3/4 behind Tatum and brown like wage, You could there could be the case to be made. There's a starting job to be had in Boston. Depending on what Josh Richter controls is going to be, you know, for someone who's a Reclamation project who just wants a chance. But your point like for any veteran who would ring Boston is not the place to be this, you're certainly very low on your list because, you know, they are maybe what, 678 best team in the East right now. And that, I mean, again, nothing right, right. And again, this is not this the off season is not over by any means. That could change in a hurry with a mover to that you know we'll get you in a bit but yeah it's I think your point like a Reclamation projects that's on. The passenger side is probably you know your best bet there. If you are going to spend it all with the mid-level exception which you know will we can get into that later too in terms of what their their actual plans are there and what kind of limits are working under the tax? But yeah it's it's clear now that I mean, there's some appealing names that are still out there but you're not going to get anyone. I mean, is there one player that? I think there's one player who you're talking about is a game. A Reclamation project to place a 3/4. And he, suddenly, that Danny Ainge tried to trade a lot of draft picks for right? So who else there is that fits that bill? And I don't actually know if you're better off playing justise, Winslow or just giving are a nice Fit 2 minutes for the exact same thing. "Got chris ryan who Is on the back end of one of the biggest pump. Fakes of the season Kyle lowry is stained. Put in toronto for the time being and that means that he is not going to the hometown. Sixers guys will share a hometown. How do you feel right now. That cao lowry is staying. Put and all that stuff that we heard that the sixers were going to go after him. The lakers were going. After miami was in the mix there was so many teams in the mix for kyle lowry. What do you feel that. He is not going to your hometown. We also got kyle lowry crying on camera last night waving goodbye to toronto aka tampa so this is a very strange story. They orchestrated this whole thing to make you feel like this was an inevitability. I was never really that confident that we were going to get lower that the sixers were gonna get larry for as much as i would love to see him. Return nova graduate high school basketball legend. That the sixers windows being a compressed a little bit by the media not to blame the media for anything which we are a part of. But i do think that the media ruins podcast right now after everything that we have gone through right now are you are you. All i'm saying is that like it doesn't all have to happen today. And i think what the the move that they did make by acquiring george hill for basically for tony bradley and like some some. Some add-ons is like exactly the move that they needed to make if they weren't going to get lower they got some outside shooting. Got somebody who could probably close games with the steph. Curry ben simmons tobias harris. Joel embiid lineup. Assuming everybody's healthy here's the thing. Logan everybody in sixers is feeling really good about the sixers right now. There's a job here. Beaten up the west coast without embiid. So i i'm not. I'm not that upset about it.

"Talk about philly because we haven't talked about philly in the pod yet philly. We talk a little bit earlier. We're talk about yeah. You should get george hill. Basically for free over paying a premium price for cholera. that makes sense to me Russillo as george hill crunch time you see in the game last five minutes for them or do you think he's a bench guy It depends on the defensive match up. Because you've got to figure like all right. If seth is closing to give you their spacing i think their best to man group and this can be a little misleading embiid and steph curry this year. So you know simmons is gonna finish so you need spacing probably more than harris thy bible. Nine harris has been on an absolute tear to here. so he's he's stepped up big time and their defense is still been incredible for the month of march even with be missing games Yeah but i. I would think they made. Look at as a seth or george hill thing Around simmons around harrison and figure out the other wing so it may not just always be seth and the other three guys with george hill. But i think this at least gives you a little bit more size there. And i don't know how much you put in any of the george you saw from oklahoma city this year. Because you know i mean. Those didn't even need those guys at times because the thunder keep winning some of these games. I can't believe they're winning with the group. They put out there.

"You ready for that, and we still have to make our case is for Tampa Bay winning And for Kansas City winning the championship games. There's there's a just war has been a few minutes talking with Mitch Laurence, you talk about a guy that's got Bonified and covering the MBA. He's done it for years and years and years and Now you can hear him on mad dog radio talking about the MBA. Mitch. Thanks for joining me. I don't want to keep you too long. But I did want to get your perspective on Where things stand with the N ba. Now outside of the bubble, they're learning how the other half lives. And do you think that they underestimated? The type of damage that the virus was going to do to their league once they left the bubble, Lawrence. Thanks for having me on no, I don't think the MBA underestimated all they've had 20 or more games canceled already. Washington Wizards. It seems like the last time they play was about a year ago. It's actually they're gonna hit the court tonight in San Antonio, but they haven't played since. What January 11th Um, And you're right. You know, without the bubble they were coming back into the real world Lead knew this was gonna happen because look how they announced the schedule. The only announced half their schedule. They knew they were gonna be a bunch of cancelations. And the players have had a hard time. Um, adhering to the protocols. I mean, look what happened last night in Brooklyn after the Nets with their new Big Three finally win for the first time, Kyrie Irving is trying to exchange jerseys with Bam out of bio. And security had to intervene because they've got new, tougher restrictions. They don't want players going up and shaking hands. And you know all the usual players have to learn, Lawrence. You know, you see after an NBA game how coaches just waved to each other and go off the court. You know, they're both basically walking up. You're going to hear each other players love to mingle and that's the worst thing. But the league knew this stuff was gonna happen. Because when they set up a schedule, they basically set the second half they were due today. We're going to set a second half and they were gonna leave plenty of makeup time for these games that have been canceled. Washington has missed six games in a row. And it's amazing that they're going to take the court tonight and they won't be in any type of game shape, which is a recipe for injury. So it is a mess, but I think the league knew they were getting into this because they don't have the same protection that they had when they had the bubble going in Lake Buena Vista. How worried are people around the MBA that the season is going to be even more truncated than what they had put in front off the world or are are with the idea of vaccines? Maybe being on the way? That they feel comfortable that they're going to have a star and finished the season even if that starting finish or outside of the bubble. I think that the the wounded The basic thing is that the league is going to push on through this. They don't want to stop. They don't want us to spend play. There's been talk of that. The media is want to shut down for a couple of weeks, Lawrence because they don't want to turn off that spigot that delivers the big money right? And so that's what you're going to see and their attitude and their mentality is Listen, we have to do more to crack down on players what they do and be be more restrictive and limit what guys could do which players aren't gonna like hand and George Hill came out basically said that in last week or so. But that's the league's mentality. And I think I look, a lot of teams are alarmed by the quality of play. They can't get guys on the court the practice The restrictions are too tough, so it's kind of messy, but the league thinks they're going to have the semblance of their 72 game season and they can proceed with that. And Like You said they hoped that the vaccines because become more plentiful. They don't want to rush to the front of the line, and some people have suggested they should. They absolutely shouldn't it should be obviously healthcare people, first responders who get to the front of line for vaccine, not MBA players who were in the entertainment business. But I think that they feel like you know what? As long as we can hold off the majority of problems here and keep these games being played, and you know, along the lines of 72 games and then get vaccines, Then we'll see where we are. So that's what the league is expecting. But there are a lot of look, A lot of people are alarmed by what's going on within the league because of all this stuff. We're talking with Mitch Laurence, you should listen to him on mad dog radio together really great MBA coverage. You covered the New York teams in the league at large for really long time. What's it like to see what's happening in Brooklyn right now? Well, you know what? C ran hard and Irving on the court of the same time. It's like an all Star game, right? Um, and they finally won together for the first time last night, and he knew they were going to be some, You know, look, a lot of adjusting in terms of the defense of play. They lost a lot in Jared Allen in terms of the defense. You're gonna have to figure out a way to replace him. Still, we all know what kind of player Kevin Durant is even coming off that injury on go with Irving and James Harden. They have a chance, obviously to win the east, But you know, they've got us not gonna be able to outscore people and, um, you know there's a lot expected of them..

"They're like they've never heard of stories of people about exercising in the parks around Austin, Jason's that was Going on. For decades. I've been known to get winded. Alright, but George Hill of the now Oklahoma City Thunder. He's not a fan and is starting to question Should they be playing this game at all? If it is, if it is truly this dangerous, and you need these these protocols he's actually so they've enhanced the rules. Not just about the hotels in that stuff. You have to wear a mask all the time when you're not in the game now, like when you come out of the game, you go to the bench. You wear a mask. You're not supposed to talk. That's what's to socialize with the opponents after the game. This bumps elbow bumps. That's it then to the locker room on George Hill, says, quote. We want to play the game. But I don't understand Some of these rules. We can sweat 48 minutes with the guy next to us for 48 minutes, but we can't talk to them afterwards. It makes no sense in quote. Not much at all. George. No, George now. Well, look here, especially the sweating part. When you're close to somebody throughout the basketball game. Not only are you sweating when you're posting others, their droplets going everywhere, But here, I Let me be the movie. The guy on the other sources, please. Um Is it unsafe to play basketball amid a pandemic in these times? Yeah, probably a little bit. And you're taking all of the steps you can to it to make it safe. And we all know why they're doing it to cash cash. These checks. Uh, But I don't think it has to be on all or nothing. Sort of situation. Okay. Like is it? Is it letme or safe to not have a conversation with these guys afterwards? Yeah, it probably It really decreases your chances of spreading the virus by a few percent. Maybe maybe you hadn't posted up against the guy who had the cove. It's something you're gonna go give him a hug and talk to him. Exactly. I hear we're a few percent may even be ambitious. But I'm just saying What? Just do it, Okay. Just do it. What is it? That that is not a central, You know, conversation that you're having. They're so so just do it, But he continues. Ah, on being forced to stay in this hotel or stay at home. Quote. I'm a grown man. I'm going to do what I want. If I want to go see my family. I'm gonna go see my family. They can't tell me you have to stay in my room. 24 7. If it's that serious, then maybe we shouldn't be playing. But it's life. No one's going to be able to just cancel their whole life for this game and quote George George, do you want your contract? See, That's not to say George Hill's been in the league for a long time. It has made himself a pretty handsome living. He's not. Yeah, he's not James Harden rich, but he's made a lot of money and he could take a season off. He could retire right now and be fine. Some of these 20 years, I think would say Yeah, I'm going to stay in my room because I need to make these checks, man. George Hill signed a three year 28 million on a contract, including $20 million guarantee average salary of $9 million so dollar dollar bills, and that is that those numbers are down from the peak of his career. He has made a good amount of money that has not been his only contract, but I don't know. I just think it's it's interesting. A guy who's been in the league for a while. Who says, you know if it's that serious, maybe we shouldn't be playing dude not to take anything away from the seriousness of this, Jason and before you think I'm going full covert denier. I think a lot of those things are ridiculous. When I think of them with my mind if we're if it's this dangerous, but then you have you know the coach is that you know, but they pulled the mask down and they're in people's faces screaming to the officials or whatever. Nothing ever really adds up to me if they're actually worried, or trying to provide safety precautions, Having said all that I'm not playing in the NBA, I wear my mask when I leave the house or when I walk down these halls. Do you understand? These guys if they want to work are gonna have to follow the NBA protocols now. Is it crazy? Yes, is that as crazy is being locked up for six months or however long they were quarantined and in a bubble in a bubble. No, it's not. At least you still have movement and everything. But if you think that you're a grown man, and people can't tell you what to do I understand where you're coming from, sir. And you have that right? Not to cash that check. But also, you know, vibe with that younger player, or somebody is just kicking in there. Who needs that? She wants that check. You better follow those praying the guys, you know, the the LeBron's of the world. Who were playing Legacy monopoly who are trying to who we're chasing titles who are out there and you know George Hill place for the Oklahoma City Thunder. Probably not a lot online for him in that regard. Basketball. The MBA. You know, it's a It's an interesting this will be an interesting case, I guess because in terms of playing amidst a pandemic, you know, obviously they finish the season in the bubble probably would say it's our greatest sporting success. That they went in. There had no positive tests the whole time that they were there we went through. We made a whole regular season in the NFL, and not a single game was canceled. They played it right baseball, hell or high water baseball some significant hiccups along the way. Not everybody played all the games we have. Ah, we have a champion Los Angeles Dodgers from the raise the trophy. We just finished a college football season. It's kind of all over the place, but they made it through the season basketball is, I think a very special case in that in the NFL. When if somebody gets Corona virus and then contact traces spreads it around. You lose 10 12 guys, That's real bad for your team, but you're not out of commission basketball because of the smaller roster like when Five guys on your team are out. You're so we're seeing this this week. You know there's team The Boston Celtics had played all week. Because they don't have a players. You know until the requirement at least eight healthy a NPAs it Ivar UN contact traced a boy..

Eastern Conference in the MBA, looking a little more interesting than it was about an hour ago, A mega 14 trade sends former M V P. James Harden from the Rockets to the Brooklyn Nets. So the Nets get hardened. The Rockets get Victor l. A deep hole A depot. Dante Exum, a player. I've never heard of four first rounders and four first round pick swaps with the Nets. That means they will just flipped positions in the first round of whatever draft Pacers Get Carousel Avert in ascending young player and a second round pick the Cavaliers Get Jared Alien Jared Allen in Taurean Prince in the deal. So a major shakeup the headliner here, James Harden, Kyrie Irving, at least for now, and Kevin Durant, United In Brooklyn. Those air three high marquee players. Two of them are high headache players Take one out of the three example. If you're gonna give me Kevin Durant, I'll raise my hand and say, except that that guy's an incredible player. So the other two, not so much not so much, at least not in my world, and the Bucks tonight are in Detroit to face the Pistons, wrapping up a two game road trip. Our coverage begins in a little over an hour here in Wtmj. I noticed in the reports Craig that one of those first round draft picks is a former Milwaukee draft pick. So Cleveland is packaging that pick that originally wasn't theirs, but became theirs as part of another deal. It's very hard land here here to see so many moving parts. But let's be honest guys who've made more money guys who are veterans. They're less likely to believe that it's all worth it to go through these very restrictive protocols, and then you throw into that. That team executive in coaches feel like the quality of play is suffering that they're not able to prepare the way that they're used to. They can't practice as much. Teams can't build the chemistry and camaraderie when the coaching staff and the players are always separated. When they're waiting on test results so they often can't get on the court to practice or do shoot around or walk throughs anyway. And then you've got players isolated because of contact tracing, so they feel like it's affecting what's happening on the court. Again, George Hill. "Another big deal has been signed in the nba with. Maybe it's best player. It's a debatable. I'll Fabio holiday I'm doing great thanks aircraft heavy on and with doubles being such a key part of the game at side the pro world in the pro world just great avid doubles expert on the show and learn a bit about more you untouchables. So maybe you can start by ten the listeners just a bit about you where you're located what you're up to right now and we can take it from there I like in in. Sorry in the UK. Head. Coach at sint George Hill Lawn. Tennis, Club it's a club that's one hundred, seven years old. So it's been there a long time. We've got about four thousand members pretty busy range of colts etc and doubles is pretty is pretty busy throughout the club. Okay. So four thousand members stats that's a lot of members a day. How many more active now so that membership split between different tasks gotTa Health and Fitness Section, we got obviously tennis and we've got a pool of we've got some squash as well about two thousand play play tennis including a genius Sir Pretty Busy sets up we've got the. And how many courts you have? We've got thirty three courts. The mixture of different surfaces indoors grass at different of official clay. So we've got a full range on ice and your head coach there. Yet on the head coach because the team of twelve coaches coaches right busy at the club especially now with people coming out of lockdown tennis being such a good thing to do with social distancing etcetera have to tennis numbers gone up since this time last year the participation has yet a court really busy from. Morning till night with lots of people working from home. And a sneaking out lunchtime for Gamete friends search it. It's pretty busy. And tell me you're also dope coach of too great. Great doubles team John from John Peers and Mike Venus. How'd you manage? Being the head coach such a big club and also working with these guys. Yeah, it's it's challenging. Sometimes I'm not on the road with them a massive amount I I do some events as when we can fit it in and it works for all of us. But when they're back in the UK back base, we we work at the club and we fit in around the the day to Day Club What Club coaching that I do the members like to see the the guys around the guys get involved on the court with some of the members which is great and members really enjoy that. Exhibitions and clinics and things. It's it's nice to have them around. And here you having a good week this week they took a nice English scalp in the first round in Rome. Yeah. The did they played. Jamie Murray near Skopje Fest? Round and which obviously J. me was was one of John's previous partners and then yesterday that a came through fourteen twelve in the final set breaker against John's partner from last year, which was Henry Continent finished guy. At the top level, they're all playing people they've played before, which must make. It's so interesting. How, from how do you coach or head of players deal with known that the other guy knows all their secrets are patrons may be a better word yet it's good. Yeah. Lots of players play with with certain patterns in they do specific things at certain times. So it's it's know we speak regularly before the matches. Go through what the opponents, what we might expect them to do what they did against them last time if they did it against the lost time and it was successful low probably good again, if if they didn't work than the opponent will change it. So we've got to be prepared for things to change and it might change through the course match nobody plays exactly the same way all the time

J.B. Bickerstaff on the NBA Strike and Racial Justice
"Us today is the head coach of the Cleveland Cavaliers. Also, the greatest interim head coach and the history of basketball. He is now three for three. With the Houston Rockets, the Memphis Grizzlies at now the Cleveland Cavaliers interim turned head coach J., B. Bickerstaff. Thanks for coming on with us. Man I appreciate it I guess that's an honor to say. Then the greatest coach of all time but I appreciate you having me man. Looking forward to the conversation so. What were you thinking last night as the Milwaukee, bucks don't take the floor and it becomes a reality that. There's not going to be a playoff game and then we see the way it plays out through the evening. We saw your tweets couple of them went viral by the way Jay bickerstaff on twitter. Now love that but you really some poignant words to say and so I just take me through your day and experiencing that somebody in the NBA. You know they did a good job of keeping their thoughts to themselves and it was really a surprise. You know normally something like that is GonNa get out you know but they did a great job of keeping it to themselves organizing it in making it a powerful statement You know I can't speak enough about the power of their voices and what it means to communities and people all over the world and all of our country for sure So you know it's a powerful statement and that's what people don't what some people don't want to give credit where credit is due Did, not know the outcome of what was going to happen. You. Know they didn't know what their sacrifice could possibly lead to as far as repercussions from the League or from TV ESPN fans whatever it may been, but they still had the courage to do it. And that says a lot. It says how important it is to and how important it should be to all of us. What do you think? How do you think you would have handled it because to hear it coaches were still getting ready for that game players really kind of did this on their own in the locker room and it's within an hour of game. and. So I'm sure you can attempt to relate to the coaches and kind of what was going on. If you put yourself in that position, how do you think would have played out because I can only match the stress of Getting Ready for a playoff game is is something already and then you walk in and your player said, we're not playing tonight. And I think the first thing is you show support this isn't something has popped out of the Blue I'm sure that there have been a ton of conversations with bud in his guys about the circumstances he's got some very powerful guys and you saw what George Hill Janas. Had to say how it's impacted them. In, affected down extremely difficult way. So I'm sure they've had some conversations. But in that moment you show support you know you ask questions. You help guide or whatever the plan may be but you're there as a resource, a tool because again, you're not getting in the way of. Two, powerful a moment. It means too much a this time in our society what's going on? So you're there as a resource a shoulder to lean on if they need it. It seems to me that minor standing from talking to players and coaches and exects. Slow last day is that it is clear that the bubbles as a success in terms of quality of play in terms of health and safety. But a lot of people fail that it's been a failure on the league's part in terms of capitalizing the fact that everybody's there twenty two teams started there now thirteen remaining and it's been a failure to creatively find ways to take advantage of this platform. I mean. To me yesterday that Jaylen Brown tweets out that he wants to leave to go protests and the feeling is that he should be able to make more of an impact being from the bubble and utilizing that platform and player seemed to be a frustrated with the fact that they can't creatively use that platform right now and it seems to me like everything that happened yesterday is just the players taking that into their own hands to accelerate this. And I think that's what the players do. Right I think when all these things happen and you know the players lead nothing best. What's the most fantastic part of this is you know we are looking for voices in our society to push us over No human being has more influence or larger platforms than are NBA players. So we expect them and we're depending on them to lead us. They're leading US where our so called leaders have failed us. They're trying to pull us all together and it's for the right reasons. You know what? I mean this isn't a selfish caused. This isn't a divisive 'cause of this is a cause for equality and humanity of everybody should be able to get on board with and we need their voices in their platform. And we'll follow suit.

I'm pulled eleven am obviously that'll be done virtually and so simultaneously, those two groups we'll be meeting and the players. I think after a night, it was an emotional day. It was an emotional meeting they had. With most of the players in the bubble coaches were there last night there came a point where? The players asked the coaches to leave so they could hash it out amongst themselves. The teams I was told broke up into groups. and then they're going to continue that conversation this morning but I mean what's at stake is simply This season and are the players as a group going to decide to move forward. Continue the playoffs by all indications that the three games that are scheduled today. Not. Going to be played, the League hadn't officially. announced it but every indication we got in the last night regardless of what they decide moving forward that those three games later in the day. Wouldn't be played, but the players have more to work through and talk through. And consider a lot of different. Consider a lot of different scenarios. And and ultimately consequences of what it would mean to shut this bubble down. You're there in the bubble woes and you could get and I just WanNa know like what is what's the feeling is like does feel like NAM empty and just spooky and? What's that feeling like? I. Think the last several days keyshawn. and. You could feel a building you could watch on I think you guys could watch. On television and and read what people are saying and see. The interviews with George Hill and Fred Van Vliet. and. The emotion that players were carrying. Since the shooting of Jacob Blake earlier. In the week. And how that resonated not just all over the country. But here. and. On top of the emotion and Guys have been here a long time and it wears on you and guys miss families guys feel. At times like their captive in this place it I get it. It's a resort like I. Don't mean to. It is a resort and I get it and. All of us are lucky to be able to work. In, this country right now and a lot of people can't but there is a cumulative effect about being away this long. And you add on top of that. the horrific nature of that shooting. Another in a series of them in years of decades. Of them a century of them and so. data impacted this place at impacted those inside. And It was a domino effect yesterday of once. The bucks made the decision to knock him out of the locker room and not play. And then how it impacted the other teams and lead to that meeting last night that was pretty rot times. The to La teams the LA clippers. The Lakers have two of the hour say most powerful voices in professional sports in Genie Boston. Steve, bomber what type of influence can they have on the rest of the NBA owners to get something done in favor of the players? It's a good question I think the question is. And I think what the players Were spending last night doing. And and previously, it's been an ongoing conversation here. But is there something and and I and I know in the meeting last I a lot of players. Disgusted I know CJ mccollum was who's an executive on the players committee or on the on the Executive Committee of the Players Association. mccomb the Blazers Jaylen Brown the Celtics war leaders. in the Union and top players in league talked about having a plan of action and the bucks in the locker. Room. In those hours after that they after they decided not to play. Working with their own ownership in Milwaukee to get on the phone the Attorney General of the Lieutenant Governor in Wisconsin to talk about ways to move forward. To try to impact. that. Particular case. In in their state in Kenosha. And so you saw players already beginning to do that yesterday now. How does that continue today? What what players are asking themselves I know what organizations are asking players when they got back to the rooms. Last my back to the hotels. What is the endgame if we don't play? One is that what is it that we wanNA accomplish outside of the bubble outside of this environment outside of the platform that you have right now to play. play NBA Games and speak to the world through. Through this. What does that look like and so I think that's all going to be part of the conversation today with the players and with the owners if they kinda reconnect after those two meetings.
