"This. Marie could win off the mayor race. No question route. I thought curling's catch could win carlin's catches interesting debuted or an amount of seventy yards. They brought back in twenty days against st bred stakes competition and then she had a pretty good winter in florida race. Last time kind of woke up walker up a little bit seven eighths. I think she's a kind of horse where she's going to benefit from the two turns stretch back out and he's gonna love the mile and an eighth. She's got a horse lorena and he asked. She's got malign she's got some sweden here again a little bit of a different look i. I'm gonna try curtains. Catch more cassie rafael hernandez breaker from the from the crohn's catch from me. And recent number eight. The woodbine oaks racing number nine number nine the royal north six-furlong on the turf for the phillies and mass. Change your control to intercontinental over purely bianchi. She's one two of her last three starts stakes races. Giant's causeway human was the other and lead guitar makes i thought of the year after going three for three when returning to the george weaver born. She does very little wrong. These turf sprints scott will be one of those too right. Well those two certainly look like if they run their most recent starts. They're the ones to beat. Neither one of them has raced at woodbine. So you can't really go off that. I think that change of control has been facing a little bit stronger competition than has lead guitar on. That's why i put her on top winning that rate three intercontinental last time out a second to into mystic in the unbridled sydney before that she just looks like she's she just looks like she never runs a bad race even losing races. Are maybe good enough to beat this field and looking forward to seeing her comeback. She's looked like she's been working well at both churchill and colonial downs for her return to the races.

"And run an expert looking for a trainer and I'd be very happy. That that's that's why we opened that window Then came then came the near Arctic and I you know everybody likes to go and run in stakes and everybody's rooting for themselves and their connections. But I don't think there's anybody that wasn't happy for Nicholas his team In the wake of Martha's passing. No and I was unaware of the situation. But I think like I said to a few people that really puts everything in perspective and. You know. I don't think from what I gather there weren't many dry is around the winner's circle yesterday after that's right. Exactly exactly. But can't FACA ran. Okay. Yeah. He's a cool horse real hard knocking off Again Kentucky downs was a disaster. The ground was so soft. I almost wish I had running back day. I thought he ran creditably that day trying to come off the pace but you know yesterday he ran a little bit evenly. It was hard to make up ground. He was Kinda stuck down on the inside Lewis thought if he could have gotten out a little earlier, he might have run onto the second. But I was very pleased with him. I was very pleased with my houses over the weekend. Well, let's find out where you stand. With. Some of the. The Breeders Cup, the players and I suppose. Meet Mary. And Invincible Gal first orders of business. Yeah meaning Mary's on schedule. She pretty seven eighths over the weekend. we're actually going to breathe on the Fair Hill Turquoise just week, which will be the first time anyone out there and they They redid it, which will be nice for her to get the stretch your legs on it, but you know right now she's very much unscheduled. Excellent and I suppose you're monitoring, you know the the euros and Shows up. Yes. But I mean, look this is the race with pointed four. So I'm not ducking anybody that's show where we're going in there hopefully with. You know with affiliate has been pointing for this rate some hope to be ready to run on the day. The juvenile the to juvenile Phillies for the for the grass are is invincible Gal and all the is all the still on track. All this on track and I thought she worked super this weekend. Let's get Let's get a little bit of a quick update because I've got a few other things obviously talk about but What's Easy breeze yesterday since she wanted Churchill, she's been struggling with a foot issue that she's kind of dealt with on and off since she was a two year old. but I was really happy I mean the timewise nobody is going to be jumping up and down. I think she went and fifty one unchanged I told Lauren to go and fifty two. So I just wanted something easy. She hasn't briefed for over a month. And now we're on schedule for the matriarch. Very. Nice. Very nice. So for those that the looking forward and have been, you know kind of waiting the year hasn't gone perfectly, but it hasn't been bad either. Know for sure. I mean. Luckily, she shows up every time and again you know working with. Anthony Becca Games way I mean they've just really let me. Call the shots and never put any pressure on me to run, and that's just I think it's made it so much easier for. "The victory ride kicks off the stakes action here at Belmont Park tomorrow afternoon grade three early in the caught has just the feel of five phillies. GOING TO GO Six and a half furlongs as for the three year old's warning line favors one francs. Rock Cat Hall of Famer Bill Will Give Fellow Hall of Famer John Velazquez a leg up and this phillies done very little wrong on her career. She's three for seven. With four second-place finishes ran second in a couple of graded stakes, including the grade one spin away up at Saratoga last year last seen winning a third level allowance optional claimer. She uses stakes. Winner took the any limit kick off three year old season three starts back. and. Probably the only reason that this race isn't later in the card is that it's a five Horsfield and Franks? Rakhat is three to five on the morning line, and she may be the the loan speed in race, so she's going to be tough to beat at three to five, but that's a pretty short price, considering there some pretty good up and coming phillies near now I think number four center. I'll I'm going to give her another shot for. For Chad Brown and Joel Rosario Sheila Great Getting Her Maiden Win Gulfstream Park, when bet down to three to five at the end of March then came back in a tough allowance race at Churchill downs where she was really over bet, she was three to five that day against another very impressive maiden winner of this one for Steve Asmussen in casual casual ran a great race that day center I'll had all sorts of problems. She didn't break that well. She had trouble during the race, and she was just really never in at any point. I think it's a racy can kind of draw a line through? If she runs closer to the way she did and her debut. I think she's the one that could give Franks rock cat. The biggest problem Franks rocket will probably get the lead I would think Rosario would have center I'll sitting justin behind her and seeing if they can outgun into the line going six and a half furlongs. With you I'm going to take a shot with center. Rile planner. If? When I plan! Early took five tomorrow I will use both Franks rocket and center, but I'll tell you what I think. You can make a case also for up in smoke was undefeated and sprints. She's four five and a career. Lone blemish came when George Weaver tries to stretch her out Hollywood wildcat. Go at Gulfstream Park. She's raced exclusively of Gulfstream, in fact, steady diet once. Once a month February march April may June now. She gets a race in July. Here over Big Sandy, she wanted the game face overboard last time out for weaver Rod Ortiz Junior. Who wrote her in her debut against fellow Florida breads down at Gulfstream Park's in the climb back aboard for the first time. Since that day looks, you'll need a little help up front if Franks, rockets able to set an easy pace I. She's going to be very very tough. I think Senator I'll be the first one to come calling. Those are the two up in smoke. If you're looking to three deep, I don't think you need to center for Bobby and I race number three goes as the great three six and a half for a long victory ride go to the end of the card. Eleven race card like I said earlier, and the final four races make up an all stakes pick four, and it starts in reasoning with the greed three poker. Flat Mile on the turf for many years. This was the fourth of July staple. On the naira calendar here it is now as part of a super five stakes card. In, the poker though. On the widener, so they come out of that shoot. On the clubhouse turn we get a field of eight entered for the turf as a main track. Only it's all relevant with the way. The weather's been here. I would imagine you know there's supposed to be some rain. We're recording the show Friday afternoon supposed to be some rains rather day on Friday and into the evening. I can't imagine it enough to take this off the turf, so let's say it will be a field of eight.

Effect everybody in their families. And then, of course, to Christoph and his staff. So just. An inconceivable it it just. Spent all day, literally e yesterday just. Kept coming, up and it. It just seems impossible to. Digest? And! Absorb. A loss of this magnitude but like Like so much else about. The. Sport and the industry. Everyone perseveres, and that included the Clermont Barn that went out yesterday in the afternoon at Belmont. And a pair of races. Richard Li the the bluff team. Including the steak and No matter how you feel about. The Nandi Q. That was. Seemingly A A. At least the mood Lightner to some degree for the Clermont. Barn, Panama earlier in the day and then. Therapist in that first defense the last week of the five day start to the new. York action and the action was tremendous. Will get the. The great one Carter in fact. George will be the first visitor of the morning. The Kalma spectacular. But. Had To. You know just. Send our. just our. Sympathies and Support TAB everybody affected by. Yesterday morning strategy tragedy Going to the racing, and whether it was Friday afternoons. Belmont pick five carryover. Go through that sequence. Then, on Saturday, the the pick six. The force out the. The pick five was. It was a big opportunity for for players player advantage in fact, positive expectation advantage more money. Given back to the players then. Was Bet in. The Friday card and it was it was. Predictably Tricky and Those that made it through I mean we'll get to the specifics. But. Bar In fact involved. In that, too, because that first time starter. Uncle George! With a A big rally boy looked on the turn like there was no way and uncle George kept coming in fact, that was part of junior Alvarado sweeping. The late pick three. which was quite something and the the big name of course from the weekend? From the five days a rat Ortiz. Who just? Insanely. Five just you can't even call it hot. It transcends that. Thirteen for twenty nine. To start. Yes Thirteen for twenty nine thirteen wins in twenty nine mounts. The Saturday. Stakes action and. We'll talk. And the explosive performance. In the Carter. And for George Weaver. I the first grade one for George. One plenty of stakes since Lighthouse Bay one, the prior S in two thousand thirteen, but first grade one for George. Since Lighthouse Bay. Javier Castellano. And a good. Good few days for the air as things get started. At Belmont one with rushing fall of course the bogus opening day. But for combs performance just One of referencing. Several just. Jaw dropping type efforts, and there's been a steady parade of them. In a since, the racing really got back in earnest. She's GONNA head. Looks like the first lady where she annuity may collide seems likely. And in fact, the speaking of the first lady. Keeneland, the with the stakes schedule get to that because I've got a whole series of. Racetrack updates and news. A lot of good news actually. Many layers of it including. Several venues where? Owners are and patrons in some cases are. Going to be able to attend. That continues to expand a lot of incremental. Gain. We'll get to all of that and we'll also get some news that. We can do some reporting on Arlington but. Today a pivotal day. So the I. R. B. Gets. Back with the parties involved, they worked over the weekend. The. And the Orangemen in. Arlington Management Tony Patillo and they have apparently come close, but cannot seem to. Hammer out. An agreement. Arlington did relent on the. Patron question about. Racing even though there might not be spectators. They backed off that original claim. They're willing to open. Even if State of Illinois isn't. Ready to. To Let. SPECTATORS BE INVOLVED So that was A. Concession on their end Some dates things were very close and in fact the thing that they. They came together on if the horsemen would agree to a second year of this. Apparently, that would have gotten it over the top, so we'll see if. The. Illinois Racing Board can. You know maybe pushed the peanut. For both parties today as shit, no more. Later this afternoon watch. WATCH MARCUS URGES UPDATES. Marcus will be. Watching it in listening in I'm sure. So, that's your Arlington Update. Will we should know whether there's going to be racing Arlington this year. By the end of the day. It's possible to believe. In that. Circumstance..

"The mud. George course with the horse become who had a dominating victory in the blue grass stakes last month. George how does this feel there's nothing like the wall over for Kentucky Derby? The conditions are a little. A little bit different. But I'm still loving it. George would've felt the conditions that change your race tactics and your discussion with your writer now he's gonna before placed look like the tracker is not. But we're going to be we're going to be up there close should be if well up to heavier and horse all the words done, and I'm going to sit back and enjoy the ride. Thanks so much best of luck. Thank you. Jeff bloom with George Weaver and Kirk George Weaver, a native of Louisville. This has to be very special for him. Only the second time he has run a horse in the Kentucky Derby, Gary, I'm curious coma was fold on may twenty second early in the three year old year. Maybe not quite as mature as some of these horses that were fold in February or March or January with that be concern as far as competitiveness in this race today. I don't think so looking at just last Tracy bluegrass stakes the field was questionable. But in saying that heat beat a questionable field like a good horses supposed to beat that quest of field of talent win win win. He had a little bit of traffic problems in there. He was coming running late. But no an answer you question. This coats pretty mature right now. The walkover continuing here at Churchill Downs. Racetrack has plenty of moisture in it. Now, the rain beginning to let up, but it's still a bit soggy here at the down after noon when we return a conversation with hall of fame trainer Bob Baffert as he tries to make history here today in conjunction with NBC sports. "It's kinda spreads them out a little bit. And from a handicap point of view, I'm gonna look from best shot to to get there. We don't have enough points to get in right now. I need to get. There. So I don't need to find the most difficult race. You know, a lot of the motive on the bluegrass is I think that we can beat these horses. You know, I think it's an I really think that it is an easier race than what the Florida derby was. And I know that the Kentucky Derby is not going to be easy. But I need to get. I don't get the points. I can't get there. So I'm just looking to to get to, you know, take my best shot at winning a million dollar race and get into the derby. And I like providence second factor. I like an extra week off the off the layoff race, you know in a horse runs. Big off the layoff. I I never have luck bringing about too quick off of that. So I figured extra week helped us here going into the bluegrass, and it would have be in between Florida derby and the Kentucky Derby if that had happened. So anyway, I'm happy the decision. I think it's a no brainer. You're very old school guy. I love it. I mean, you you you take your time. You put thought into what you do. And you're not just interested in win as many big raises? You can't as fast as you can. I mean, that's very rare. In today's business as far as the Kentucky Derby concern. Well, I don't we just don't have that many horses come into our bond with this kind of caliber we've been lucky over the last few years, we've got fill it. It's on the oaks trail that she you know, she may or may not get in. And we have that mayor dad is legend, really mayor. But we just don't have that. We don't get that many opportunities. So I feel like I have to manage them. You know, I can't just be willy nilly and just throw them in racist. For no reason, I think we have to be more deliberate and try to plan maximize. What we have we we really think of a coma regardless of what he does today as a potential candidate. And you know, we just wanna make all the right moves with them. And you know, it's not a it's not a perfect game. You never just so many factors. You can't you can't count for. But we feel like we made the right choice, which is looking for to see in abroad talk. You a trainer George Weaver here on the horse racing radio network. The coma. Nine to five on the morning line. Today's Toyota bluegrass stakes again, you'll hear the bluegrass. "Pretty heavy, but he'll eat it all up to me. And you know, we're just going to see how things work out is the next week or so all that comes out of it. And. So, you know, you know, this when you pull this kind of stuff, you can't really get fell in your path, and you got problem, and you know, so we'll try to keep him where we don't get a stronger pace. I love it. Well, this was this was certainly a fun lead up. There's a lot of interesting things going on. And and you know, I started the conversation about the fountain of youth this morning shook saying that pretty much everybody, I thought acquitted themselves. Well, I mean when you look at that order a finish. I mean, the the inexperienced horses. Stand standoff, you know, with global campaign and the second time starter from Judd Mont and Bill Motte absolutely ran courageous race. And I think you had very satisfying pretty satisfying running this. Well, I agree with Steve I think that you'll look up and when we look up at Saratoga time or next fall. Some you're to look back in the news and say, you know, this was pretty pivotal race. When you've got Mark four Fran really good race. And you know, mean hidden scrolls up against it. You know, making a second start, you know, that kind of pace, and you know, the Horsa George Weaver Smith scout. Man ran ran a really really good race. So I think you know, Barney anything happened and all those are going to be horses. We'll look up and say look at them and saying horse. I see where graduate self gonna give them a time. But you know, he's very town very talented horse, and he'll be mothers come out and race. He'll be okay to you know, I think it'd be dreamer better than what he ran the other day. And so thanks like I say, I think we look up a little bit later on down the line. We'll. Say well that was pretty good race. Well, and in fact, when we as we get closer here toward the end of the the winter season at Gulfstream feels like we're gonna look up and and say this has been a pretty good winner for the mcgahey barn. And we'll talk about some of the other recent maiden winners you've been winning races on a regular basis. This winter show. Let's talk about some of the runners from Saturday that that various degrees is success Felix the FOX it's gonna break maiden real soon. And the, you know, this is a horse..

"Well, and he did wet track the deal with and so forth. But nothing wrong with sparky villes performance. The candy Reid for Jeff Bondi. And there's a wonderful story. Jessica martini. Who of course, we're so used to talking to about the sale scene. She wrote a wonderful story about the dose echoes John. Doe seco- and his father and sparky Ville happy for Bondi who was dancing. Did. You. Did you see, Dan? Did you see his little his dance moves? Post race. I did look up and catch that Joel Rosario who. Doing quite quite nice out there and picking up. These got Ryan Anderson. Poaching live mounts. So we'll get we have to get the bond. You haven't talked to the Jeff in in two long other three year olds let stick with the three year olds will bounce around a little bit to try to catch up the Phillies, George Weaver. The dream Weaver. Here's George and point of honor in that sun coast, and she was really good really really good. And sometimes you get Mojo horses where everybody is the the morning line comes out, and you know, there's a horse that is third choice, or you know, whatever and everybody kind of sees right through it and gravitates right to the right horse. And they did when it came to point of honor the curl in Philly read by. Fountainhead production facility Sienna farm. This is. Erin, Wellman and Stetson racing. And and all the eclipse partners. This is a nice nice villi and the exchange. Georgia's had a busy week. He's been up in Ocala with clients looking at at babies and so forth. So we'll catch up with George always find when we do we want to get an update on coma. But point of honor gets bet down to favouritism five to two and beats lady Kate who ran a very nice race. In her second start for Eddie Neely and the Anderson stable people in this an expensive Keeneland yearling Bernardini out of Princess Haya, the Street Cry that that was that was that was John sheriff's if I'm not mistaken and lady Kate very kind of different about the way. This race was run lady. Kate who came from off the pace at Gulfstream January to win it six. Now she stretches to a mile. In forty eight hundred south on the lead and ran a very credible. Second in here and fig wise should note..

"And now moves to the me along the lady Kate but point of honor in front impressively under heavier Castellano by whitening three lady. Tape was second three Diane third winning envelope. Plans out to be fourth running time on the board. Thirty nine point seventy eight. Well, lady Kate ran a terrific race and all the heavy lifting there and acquitted herself fine a point of honour, very very judiciously ridden and made the last then the right move, very patient havi or Castellano all fame type ride well back to you at five to two. You didn't hear some cheers though, because of the mandatory race that was but point of honour seems like the real deal very different trips for the top two though point of on her dead last early on just kind of waiting and her time. You're right about lady case, she seems handy. She listens to the writer Jose or TS astronaut once but twice you to moves in that race. And those two I thought dominated in both are going to be probably stakes type Phillies down the line as well. Well, lady took some late money. She took some late action. She got down to three to one into three to one people. Maybe had an inkling that it was going to be a forward trip in a race that I didn't think. Paper was going to set up for one to come from last. But that's how good point of honor was to get the money in that race attempt. Just so sprint debut stevia lady. Kate first time at shipping first time routing like just a second lifetime start. I'm impressed with both the winner and the runner up. I think they're going to be very nice. There was one thing. I haven't mentioned as part of the steak sequence. The fact that Owen hardy who course has got lady Kate. He ended up scratching the other Godolphin out of the say of Davis cave run who was another of a very similar vein was going to be finally getting that chance to go to turns know, he had to get overhauled by win win win in the Pasco. And they're going to wait for something else. Be interesting to see what they do at. Of course, they the Godolphin team is well represented in here with Kentucky wildcat who is sort of the male equivalent of point of honor. While look point of honor. I look at it. Philly by curling out of Bernardini Maher thing. The birther the better she debuted going to turns in one and the further the better, boy, I'll tell you what she she looks like a budding superstar off that win and you don't get any breakage whatsoever. Seven dollars for a five six to one morning, George Weaver does such a good job the greatest underrated. I think I think you're guys are probably right. There's a bright. There's a bright future here and a pedigree. That says the longer the better. Well, of course, there's a pretty good Philly three year old that's going to run in about three minutes at Santa Anita. And she's one to nine as play, isn't it back? I'm all over that. She's hard to it's hard to stand in your way. I think it's one to tell you what there might be some people out there that want me to go to the window and better though, because the weight of my ticket sometimes could stop a train trying to upset. I'll tell you what let me put some money on it. See what happens? Let's get. Let's get over to Akwa duck AC and pick up John Brielle with the call of the Wingfield at the stake there, which has got a nice little group seconds Joe via has come on through now to grab the lead Joe via by a head gates Donna's right there on the outside and second with tcb flew the favourite in third comes direct order in fourth. Forgiveness. Not permission forgiveness. Not permission fifth seconds. It's still Joe via the one to catch. Here. Haikal is gaining ground down at the rail teak VIN. Flu is asked for more as the field comes off the turn and enters the stretch Tepe influence now coming up on the outside of Jovi..
