Clean is gonna kill just because he was just one of them kind of people that was just the anger that you would you just shoot rather than than talk to and and then then you just gotta let it go then later on eight years later or no. Yeah it was eight years later. Yep i do a movie. Called a reindeer games ben affleck. Yeah and and they had they vin diesel casts for this this role that he wasn't right for right and he was. He was just all crazy about doing it. He didn't want it but he did a doing a favor for a producer and he was really torn right. And what's wrong with you. Man is a man. I got this film. It's all. I will say this russ about you. Know a lot of times with books sometimes with someone danny stature. They'll get some new york writer or whatever it is right and they'll come in and they'll do like thirteen or fourteen hours of interviews or less. Sometimes they just go off and write a book and it's so clearly not their voice and with this book it was. It's all danny de nice sat for. I mean we're always friends. Were always hanging out anyway. But we put a couple of years of concerted effort into it and sometimes we get really onto the point. Sometimes we were just hanging out watching rams games and stuff you know and but but this was everything danny said. It's all his voice. It's all and i know it sounds weird but there's kind of a trick in an art to capturing someone's their voice and not and and also just taking you know whatever just going through thousands of pages of transcripts and the hardest thing was figuring out for the sake of structured cetera. What insanely awesome stories to leave out. Which was unfortunate. But there's there's five good books on the floor in no. Yes because it's one of those things with the biography. It's someone else's life donald especially when you're writing icons life story. They're only get one shot at a biography. Right there's not going to be sequels to it. You're going to get one shot to tell their life story and after they pass whoever that may be or whatever that may be i should say that will live with their family members and everybody else forever of like. Who was your grandfather. Who is your father. Well here he is. He's in this book right here and for you personally to write this. You know you're from canada originally but a lot of people don't know that you grew up on the border What was that like for you. And how were you able to relate your experiences to danny's life. I can't you know i i can't in a lot of ways because i just i. It's like being an actor. I can't i can. I pretended be killers on vikings and suns at iena killer. You know. I don't. I don't what danny's life experience was with something. I still in all over his life. Where i do think i mean i think danny and i would always be friends and i do think we would. He would always be friends with this kid. I left candidate. When i was a year old so but i will say this danny. Danny's come down a couple of times to the border with me. We're of course. You know danny coming down to the imperial valley is like moses parting. The frigging read see. Oh yeah and and he came to my high school to speak and there was something about it. The drew us closer. Because as danny was kind of intimating you know what was so strange was where i grew up in how i grew up was very close to how danny did very similar kind of neighborhood and i was just the weird redhead dude. And there's always one you know my co host another show. Is that guy. Yeah notice to the classroom. He was still the only read. But you know we we had so many. I don't know it's it's my my link with danny goes goes deeper and things have happened between me and danny have nowhere nation. It made me. It sounds crazy. It's been kind of a believer conflicts.
