General burger now and the second tenant is that the army expects here comes the politicization again and the the deliberates Catching of britain's previous abilities. The the army expects that vehicles will increasingly be electrified in the landfried fleets. So never mind reforms they must be electrified Moving onto more about automation. If i if i remember that was the criterion for chopping the dis which together with the americans and russians was definitely the world's best intelligence service. "Was some clips from the debate when the house was recalled called on the fourteenth of september to the act to the events in new york washington and pennsylvania. Pity from tony blair followed by the new conservative leader. Ian duncan smith than the lib-dem leader. Charles kennedy they also unions leader. David trimble the labor impe and father. The house tom. Denial and the labor impe paul marston. Voicing some The need for caution. Well it's now. Speak to philip webster. There's glitz of the times was in the press corps. That day i feel the thing that really struck me revisiting. The whole debate was the the sense of it was very somber. It was very serious really quite often. You buy expensive solving rhetoric adam shapiro. We knew the words to sort summit up. No i think the the shock that disbelief the anger the fair in the nation. Generally at this time just three days afterwards towards was well mirrored in the commons died Calm measured generally united that undercurrent of concern about what bringing people to account actually meant and it was little dive in most people's mind. When tony blair said that the people who have terrorist have a choice they give them up or they become the enemy i think even by that stage people were beginning to realize that man. He didn't use the word war at that time. Al qaeda hadn't been formally identified as they as the culprits. But i think everyone was moving to a situation with a new some very big decisions. Were coming up fairly soon on a did but overall i think it was one of those occasions where sometimes we'd rather pass say the the house of commons was at its best and this was one of those occasions also this and also we saw a couple of weeks ago but i forget when the house was we called invasive circus to talk about afghanistan. What is the point in. Because you're the people sort of came together. The speech very heartfelt. Listen to in sort of samba silence. But nothing really happened. What why is it so important. These moments are classes for the house of commons to come together because i don't sort of voting on making a decision but why do you think it's important. I think it's important. In this particular context. The main purpose coming together was to express solidarity with the united states and the thousand two lost that lives and Mp's have a feeling than that. They've they've got to do something even there's nothing they could do. The only way they could express the horror outrage support for the people of american close to the families of the british people who died in the twin towers was to have a special session of the house of commons. They called a debate started at nine thirty in the morning friday and they called a three minute silence and eleven o'clock and that was i think that way of identifying them with the horror fell generally outside and across the world. And just paint a picture of your your experience. Where were you when a non eleven happened and what happens. Then in terms of the politics of coach at the times because of what's going on inside number ten what was going through. Tony baz mind cause it ended up being probably the single biggest incident which which had such an incredible impact on his own climate ship. And even how today will you as you could say. It was the edged. The was the beginning of the end of his apprenticeship because from Afghanistan floaty rock and from iraq flowed the the end of a player's premature. It took some time but blair that point was shit was determined to show from the very start. His place nece to American this send in as i say he didn't use the word or geoff hoon defense sector. The end said that was already considering. How would help any military action that the united states took now blair news at his role would be to Donna support around the world for any military action. that The united states took and my editor at the time just decided that i should stick with blair through that following periods so i went off with bladder following week to new york where he did the judge service in manhattan to remember the the british people who died either. We then flew on that evening to washington with george. Bush made a speech in which he i referred to the war on terror. And that by that time we do ready. What was going to happen. I was with when he went to visit. British troops. Just a month later in amman. At nobody said they were preparing to go to afghanistan. But of course we will do. They were just wasn't officially acknowledged that they were and i was with blair again in january two thousand and two shortly after the taliban had abby defeated to be more accurate had run to the hills as we now know i was with blair went in under the cover of darkness. We flew into afghanistan and hercules plane. Midnight that time and landed at by gram f failed and it was. It was an amazing time to be with him. I think he covered about forty five thousand miles in a couple of two three weeks going round the world a building support for the calculation. I remember one occasion. We landed back from. India a t. Throw one saturday evening and we all have to be back at heathrow. The next morning quite early on to fly to russia and then on down to cape town so it was a fairly mad fine. He was getting ryan trying to pick up support absolutely everywhere and that was seen as he saw that as his role at the time he was later to paper. I and just personally from your perspective. How did you feel even getting on a plane. So soon after What happened in in in america you. We had a lot of scary times actually as political correspondents did there were occasions when we did things that we would never rent doing as as civilians you like. It was a scary time. It was certainly a scary time. When we flew off from islamabad that evening at two to kabul and the not the taliban had fled but they were firing at anything that was up in the up in the sky at that time and the lights were out in our hercules. We you couldn't even see the guy sitting next to you But the missiles were flying up from everywhere. We were just praying among ourselves that there was a defense system up there to help us get check where we were getting. It was scary but it was a job that had to be done and looking back on it. I wouldn't want to be anywhere else. It deserves a job you had to do as a reporter to ripple these things going on and the politicians all set for themselves in in the line of fire as well at that time so it's w. speech as thank..

"American institution the binds generations together is at Randall's talking baseball informants right now takes the field great good morning everybody and right off the bat I bet many of you listening this morning we'll remember when in two thousand fourteen Sports Illustrated put the then pathetic Houston Astros on the cover and predicted they would win the two thousand seventeen World Series which they did as we now have learned it by whatever means necessary our guest wrote that article in years later The New York Times bestseller astro ball the new way to win it all now in paperback from three rivers press we welcome to Israel's talking baseball this morning a leadoff hitter Ben writer been great to have you and congratulations on the fine work thanks I appreciate it thanks for having me I understand that you're also going to write and host a new podcast a documentary that will explore the cheating scandal and the Astros two thousand seventeen season that's right I've devoted the past world but good portion of the past several years of my life to this Astros story clearly this is taking a turn that I'd never expected that I never saw during my time reporting on the story my goal now is to figure out what I miss how I missed it and to tell as complete a story as I can given all we know now we look forward to that you've written two doesn't cover stories for sports is illustrated but the reaction to putting them on the cover were was probably like no weather bring people must have thought you were not to how did you become interested the Astros well really I became interested because they were so bad back there in two thousand fourteen this isn't just a normal bad team this is the worst baseball team over a three year stretch in half a century since the expansion met so I wanted to figure out what was going on down there you know what what is the plan was there even a plan and I negotiated some significant access to the front office back in two thousand fourteen spent some time with them in meetings that they're preparing for the draft that year and I came away thinking that not only was there a plan it was a new one it was a very innovative one and there was one that clearly I thought could work so it all kind of came from an open mind it wasn't supposed to be a cover was just supposed to be a normal feature in the magazine everything kind of went from there you talk about how bad they were a hundred and six hundred and seven hundred eleven losses a hundred eleven losses in their two thousand thirteen I season that ended with fifteen consecutive losses and nobody watching on television that's right some games during that period their games their games are putting up a rating of zero point zero which meant that Nielsen could not determine that as single Houstonians had tuned into some then that's how bad they were they were called the disastrous is really the worst franchise hi Justin baseball but in sports I guess the dumpster fire is the modern term for this sort of thing and I could look back in they couldn't go to and they couldn't get to the minor leagues because their minor league cupboard was bare there were really no Wes it's there when did they begin to turn the corner well if you're paying attention it was probably really just around the time that I wrote that cover story when things started to look a little brighter if you're paying attention that was when George Springer came up for the first time and injected some life really into what it's been such a moribund franchise if you look down in the minors which really did have a bare cupboard as you said when Geoff hoon crew came and they had Carlos Karan who is kind of a surprise number one draft pick in two thousand twelve starting to prove that yes he really had something other some other pieces in the minors because they'll to me was starting to show signs that he could be more than just this good fielding slap hitting little middle infielder but yeah they still have a long way to go for sure in the summer of two thousand fourteen been writer has written Astroboy all the new way to win it all I guess when you showed up you had this unprecedented access because they're like well yeah welcome and have a knock yourself what kind of look they they didn't have a lot to lose and what they said at the time and we're committed to transparency and having you in here is part of it I think that the front office the gotten tired of all of the criticism they've gotten from around sports you know the accusations of tanking which on some level they certainly were doing at least they weren't trying very hard to spend a lot of money to win I think they figured that it was time to show the world that look we do have an idea here of what we're doing we have really smart people here we have a lot of innovation that we're putting in place as far as leveraging analytics in new ways combining it with human observation to get the best out of both man and machine it wasn't really an either or question are we going to go with the staff or people it was in and question how to use both of them properly they had a lot going on and I think they figured that look now if we show a little bit of it maybe we'll start to get the public on their side one thing that's become clear is that what was a priority above all was pursuing an edge in every part of their operation I was gonna I was gonna ask about that if you ever found a hint that they would install a culture band of winning at all costs and I mean winning at all costs yeah I mean look obviously I didn't see what it would be calm over the next three years during which time I did check in **** and wrote wrote more stories about them but yes it was clear that the adage that the wind is what they were after right I mean and I don't know how unique that makes them but that was their goal and you know finding an edge that edge seeking culture no matter what you know it's not all that hard in retrospect to see how it could have gained a bit or a significant dark side in the three and four years to follow is he a cheating scandal has obscured there were cheap mens and really and and frankly question the legitimacy of their achievements it has and I certainly understand that especially from the fans or the team fans that were the team that they beat I mean I would suggest that two things can be true at once this was a very innovative organization that came up with a lot of things unlocked a lot of things about the game over the years that have now proliferated throughout baseball and throughout sports as far as how to properly evaluate talent as far as developing talent as far as all committing to a process in the long term these are all part of their plan and I think that they're all by large positive parts of their plan and then turn them into a very good organization at the same time they have this other thing going on perhaps you could say their plan went too far their culture went too far the provided them with an edge that was listen so I don't think it's fair to say that the organization was fraudulent down to its roots I do think it's perfectly fair to say that it added this element that you know overshadowed one might even say ruined all the other accomplishments that they had overshadowed they created a shadow it but the leverage to your point they leverage analytics to an extreme level in in that world of analytics band as they've become the standard by which all others I have been measured since yeah they really have a look let's not give them too much credit clearly there were other cutting edge organizations out there and there always have been it was really their commitment to what they were doing that was different yeah I could keep thinking back to what a rival general manager said to me two thousand seventeen about them which I quote in the book after ball you know he said I do hear from some baseball operations people who say I want them to lose so bad because there again but Jeff Lynne I was not paid to win popularity contests he's paid to deliver and he's doing that so even around the league well there might have been you know some dislike for them some thought that they were error against and brash there is also a respect for how good they were were and how much they want although I think it's fair to say that I'm not positive but I think it's possible that gems around the league didn't know the extent to which they were on they were seeking that edge been writer has written astro ball until these guys came a long ban who mentioned that something like algorithms would become a measurement of baseball talent right well every night and he said there were other organizations obviously the A. as we all know about them the Indians they didn't invent the concept applying algorithms to building a team or two evaluating players they just took it to a level far beyond that which others had imagine at that point in all ways it turns out in speaking of the ace how if at all did money ball influence your writing and reporting significantly you know it in some ways I was reading this book as I wouldn't say this sequel but but certainly part of a progression from Moneyball my book came out fifteen years later the actors are doing what they were doing kind of fifteen years later which in baseball is a really long time this latest cycle is a really long time I think about it this summer I would say that the theme of of money ball was the superiority of numbers over humans right out of the out algorithms can see troops that humans can't we remember you know I guess is from the movie but the scene where Billy being a sitting across the table from the scout and it's got a bit ridiculous in that mode it is clear that believe you represent the future the Astros insight was look those scabs those human beings still know what they're doing there's a way to combine their insights with modern metrics to get the best out of us and to make the best possible decisions we can't it doesn't mean we'll get everything right we're going for marginally more correct decisions than our competition and they seem to have succeeded in that Intel certainly they did it because of the very very quickly I only have about forty five seconds of your assessment of the punishment they received I I think the executives are probably received a fair punishment I understand causing players wanting players to have been punished although I certainly understand the commissioners reason in many reasons for not doing so I think frankly the organization probably got off a little light they still have their rings that's all the profits from the World Series and everything you still have analytics people in and in that office there that were also the brain children all of this they will although I will say that I think this story has a long way to go believe it or not stars figure out exactly what was happening and why it was happening and that's one reason why let's take the next several months two research and investigate this story for my podcast to make sure the stories will probably spend writer has written Astroboy all the new way to win it all now in paperback from three rivers press great work been great to have you on the show thanks very much that things haven't it windows.

"Going how are you good good couple things real quick just bear with me yeah definitely warmer today than yesterday okay okay I think yesterday or is you know who who could sponsor the garbage camping in this that island thank you right thirty given away the giving it away I don't know who the sponsors well it will use an idea for a sponsor anyone as well as all the you know as I am I remember the garbage pail kids right it was because it was hard it was a card sticker thing like a ripoff of cabbage patch kids those recall the garbage pail kids so all you know someone to Google lemon like help find that they can make a bunch of your hand out like a bunch of cards with them just as Astros were along with the with the can yeah yeah good idea so that would be all right anyway I think it's really ironic how a woman you know it is given so much praise that the bell Tran help for his ability to steal signs or or notice things you know as to what this might be coming in yeah yeah what's the biggest did you know right from Rudy van Wagoner's opening press conference about him because that's what he said were exactly right but what was the biggest thing is known for the with the match that they've won in some quarters strike you know the Kerr all in the six you know I know yes you know just just had ironic in that sense yeah Eddie yeah your call looking on there and and the listing real quick look I mean I know I know it it's apples and oranges and it was portable you know that a little bit today but yesterday yeah people call up about you know Pete rose as as compared to this book let's be honest about one thing you should definitely be in the hall of fame the difference with this and Pete rose though is that there were signs all over the place that you can't do what he did and he did it anyway there was no precedence for this until it started happening you years ago on a additional putting up signs in the all the dugouts and compounds and everything so you can't use electronic devices then anyone who does it should be banned for life like he is for the gambling I think that the manager AJ Hinch indefinitely now the GM should be banned for life that should have been the punishment from the outset from the get go well I agree with you the only thing is I mean there unfortunately I think that it well yeah yeah either the players at right are hampered by the the the bargaining agreement but that I agree I agree with you with those three short right right and own boy one of the common now with that that decision I had a late hopefully next Saturday right right yes I just want to throw those things I did and now you have a great weekend everything and Eric everything that you said is is definitely a stick there for sure was it I am a proponent of the fact that AJ Hinch Geoff hoon now Alex Cora and even Carlos Beltran now that we know exactly what he did for life I mean I just I talked about it last night like you think you would think that these owners of these teams have you know just an ounce of integrity within them at the end of this upcoming season that you know AJ hinges band is going to be lifted Jeff Luna's bands gonna be left I mean you would you think that these guys have just an ounce of of credibility an ounce of integrity that they wouldn't go ahead and turn around and and hire these guys instant and I I wouldn't put it past some of these teams really honestly I think those guys gonna be employed starting next season and that's the problem these guys should be a lifetime ban from the beginning from the beginning and I just I don't know why I did that the players were granted immunity and that is just ridiculous you know how bout you just do your own investigation figure out on your own and punish players accordingly how has that but it's just I don't know I I think these guys are gonna be finding a job again at and their capacity that they were just serving in and what I'm definitely worried about then specially AJ has already being on MLB network are they going to give them an analyst gig something a rod owns the Mets and he slides right into the booth now we don't need that we we don't need anymore AJ hand around the sleek sorry to tell you and he bought a who knows with Jeff Lynne I hope it just disappears into oblivion outscore as well okay I hope we're gonna take let's see if we do one more call you think John you calling from in your truck what's up John yes John I got out yes I got you what's up okay I told your wife first call Jack quick general eight years ago yes and I my my world was you know as I said I'm sorry it was for defense you know all right in my arsenal of you know alibis or whatever Sherri cheers later a week passed my clothes and some don't and he said no I don't want to do that I got that right it was just something in this and I said why not because I don't trust you so you think you never get you know it'll never go away for the Astros are you couldn't believe this try Korea and I he was one of the guys I like it's going to be a long way and ran for those guys but if nothing else happens in time things very well which are not quite shocked on subject therefore must surely surely she what now when the phone rings by you if our lotus under its own body I'll give you one short of what was changed at all I know I know hi low hi I let's go I'm not sure what it's body but I gotta Bombali palm springs a well run what about the ministry and talk to get around to us thanks for the call you know it Johnson something I just jotted down things go away you know I don't know if they did they go away but they you know they get they lessen the blow lessons over time and that's why for example there's a five year wait period on whole fame votes and I think Eli manning by the way will benefit by that but I just I I don't think it'll ever go away I just think that as time passes it becomes less and less important let's just say impactful maybe that is the right word yeah so let's go more because it's seven seven three three seven sixty six sixty six it might be your last chance to get aboard for the night it is five forty so we're gonna hit right handed right over here to Marco for the update learn to deal with that story.

B. S. sports radio and the Houston Astros need to shop the hell up shop shop we just heard during seals up the worst computer exploded Carlos Parreira shot all my it's bad enough Major League Baseball has found a way that just NFL but a lot of this investigation and now it's getting worse and worse and worse because you and me and everybody else at eight five five two one two four two two seven are now all started to figure it out a little better now starting to figure out how Major League Baseball has come pouring at Lee screwed the pooch on this I just saw a tweet from Darren rebel and I couldn't agree with him more where he said you know everyone is starting to figure out that the players getting immunity in this whole situation is now starting to work against Major League Baseball because quarrel figuring out that the dudes who know the most got immunity and yet I still feel like sitting here made these baseball players have not owned up to everything that these guys still no more and the people still aren't talking register Carlos qureia with the whole well you know let me finger wag back on you know what happened here was in two thousand and seventeen what I don't know whether the guy couldn't read or the reading comprehension of bubble ball no it's a simple is this Carlos Correa no one trusts you no one trusts you your own players your brethren so to speak those other thousand plus Major League Baseball players are out there they all don't trust you guys right now if you're a baseball player how can you trust the investigation in Major League Baseball dead and the more that you and I and everybody else start to figure out exactly what's going on here and then they actually baseball has screwed the pooch on this royally and we're starting to figure out what it these players completely get off in this situation see because one of the few things that the NFL actually did learn Major League Baseball did learn from the NFL I do think I tried to say that is there everybody knows in the NFL then maybe necessarily have to talk to the league or maybe they're not completely forthcoming so Major League Baseball I'm sure the short term was like well let's give the players immunity and try to get to the bottom of this and then it's like oh well you know all you give me immunity well I murder that guy too but you know he's the one who's really responsible you understand the analogy I may get it the players know they're off the hook but I wonder if they really complete we told the whole story see this is the problem Major League Baseball has right now I'm sitting here on national radio I'm about to take a bunch of calls from you at eight five five two one two four C. B. S. eight five five two one two four two two seven what about all get into this big discussion and you know what all of us are going to have in common one word says suspicion we're all suspicious of this whole thing in one way or another now my suspicions might be a little different than your suspicions when it comes to what did or didn't the players actually tell Major League Baseball since they had immunity who word day war weren't they protecting in all of this it is very clear the Major League Baseball got some sort of story from Geoff hoon now the former general manager of the Houston Astros they really made no logical sense whatsoever there are players in the game of baseball that are suspicious about this whole thing and then there is anger there's anger because it feels like the players are the ones that are getting off on on this whole thing I would dare say and I know we have a footprint in Houston here on CBS sports radio I would dare say if you're a Houston Astros fan your call okay with this because the people who got punished are people that in the end of the day you really don't care about if you're a fan who's gonna plunked down your money to put your **** in that eighteen to twenty inches allowed for you to go watch a baseball game do you really care who the manager is I know you don't care who the general manager is and I'm sure that if you're a fan of the Houston Astros you couldn't give two monkey dues whether they lost first second third fifth ten forty all their draft picks you don't care there's still a banner hanging up that says World Series champions those guys already got their ratings you bought your merchant memorabilia it ain't getting taken away from you serve your Houston Astros fan your sort of defending the castle right now because you don't want your players thought of as cheaters and as a friend you really probably couldn't care less about what Major League Baseball did to the organization if you are outside Houston or if you are not an astro spam it is completely the opposite you're looking at it and say in the people got punished I mean what the world and those people be the only ones to come away with some sort of organization old sort of punishment and now you're looking at it and instead of defending the players it's like no no wait a minute these dudes no way more than what was going on twenty eight Major League Baseball is muddied up because the report came out from the Wall Street journal saying then in turn created this whole system nobody in the front office new Major League Baseball told us it was player leading driven that was bull crap I don't know you I really don't that's why I use the word suspicious were all suspicious because we thought Major League Baseball didn't investigation ran it the right way presented a report and they had our faith in them as sports fans because it went way different than the other kinds of sports investigations that were used to seeing run by the NFL and they've taken the benefit of the doubt and they have now twisted their story up and and you've got the Astros players there now doubling down on defending their own on trying to defend themselves their owner Jim crane made a complaint idiotic full of himself this week what PR person by the way from the Houston Astros let those people go up there and just swing would pair sh mens are in their hands I mean seriously do not press these people how do you not have some sort of I mean that's you know I and everybody gets on me for the whole pagers thing and stuff like that but let me tell you something when your team is in a pickle is situation what would you rather do have bill Belichick go out there and be a dang can shut down or have your own or go out and literally take to show off his head and his foot in his own mind because that's what happened with the Houston Astros this week I just more Roddick would you rather say something and get ripped or say nothing and get ripped because you know what after a Belgian press coverage ray shut it down a day later people are talking about it because he gave me enough that we're still sit here on Saturday and these people get the best rate in calls qureia is coming out talking even more I mean holy my head is spinning with the store you you you've got to be thinking the same thing in some way shape or form are you not I guess the easiest way for me to ask this question is to just ask you at eight five five two one two four two two seven in what way did Major League Baseball screw this up that his aggravated you the most like there's all telling us that it was a player led scheme when it wasn't the manager and the general manager were.

"Radio I'm John you brought your video games great thank man along with me from day one down to the final four businessmen your call him now with the five five two one two four CDS talking about the Astros cheating scandal in the story that came out yesterday in the Wall Street journal basically saying that all the people in the organization knew what was going on including GM Jeff blue now then this whole codebreakers scheme was rated by an intern who now works for the organization and now I'm very skeptical Major League Baseball because they didn't give us the full story we find out the next layer of what people did or didn't know and one Major League Baseball classifies this as a scheme that was really player oriented along with the bench coach that's pretty disingenuous here's the other thing to they offer the players immunity players get immunity so what else the baseball learn it let me add another layer to this real quick because I'm loaded on these phones at eight five five two one two four CBS when the Boston Red Sox address this one outscore got let go as the manager of the red Sox everyone in the red Sox organization said let's not rush to judgment just yet let's see what happens when all the facts come out may be the red Sox no all the facts aren't going to come out because the facts didn't come out in the Houston scandal eight five five two one two four CBS eight five five two one two four two two seven tonight eight eastern five Pacific the Air Force falcons defend home court against the undefeated San Diego state Aztecs of the twenty four hour home of CBS sports to the phones we go on this team of players the league the Astros this is the big mass I think let's get to you Jerry in Vegas on the grass show on CBS sports radio subjects are Hey man thanks for taking my call previous caller said that he thought maybe was running rampant in the end league I disagree I would think that if anything the pictures if there was rampant in the league I mean the pictures would be thrown out balance in arms you know it it definitely would affect their stats the other thing is is that you know the players receive compensation for winning the World Series they you know their contracts could have been affected by their performance in twenty seventeen and twenty eighteen but yet they get off Scot free I think that there should be some punishment you know some financial punishment on the players end of it and then lastly my suggestion is that B. NFL two years back instituted a a microphone between the offense of coordinator and the quarterback if maybe just brainstorming they could have acted down whether or not how they could do this but somehow a microphone between their catcher in the picture so there wouldn't be any visible signs between them anymore I don't know and Jerry it's it's it's it's not a bad idea thank you friend I appreciate J. in terms of the whole you know catcher temperature communication I thought of that as well the problem is if the battery standing there how does the pitcher communicate with there are how does the catcher communicate with the pitcher Aaron sort of call the game because of the picture call the game they they sort of are from the mound but they're not going to be on the mound muttering here comes a curve ball and the catchers the one she can no I don't know how you would do that but I'm sure Major League Baseball got to start to think about those types of things that Sony using technology at least in that way John in Texas Grushow CBS sports radio hi John here are for the whole thing just blow over rated that ridiculous baseball players whining about or cropped its unwritten rules I mean for god's sake just change the signs of somebody the owner signs okay one is not a fastball anymore two is a fast ball goodness Rascher I mean if Arnold banner make in two bomb hit forty and make at least minimum and I I mean you can watch the telecast the the picture I understand the cats respond I mean for god sakes I could sit at home and figure out the side if I was out to forty and major league minimum and if I could raise my average thirty points and makes seven million and seven seven hundred thousand yes what I'm doing but I am fine thank you we're still in your life there there definitely is some of that and and John thank you but this goes to another level in terms of keeping spreadsheets keeping logs I mean we're talking about basically an office worker who was someone who pretty much came up with this and came up with the ability to file all the information away in a system so that people could go back to it now that Sir I give full changer signs but I do think it is a little different than that and let's not let's remember to manage the communication of that information it is also part of the crime here Wayne in Houston next Grushow CBS sports radio highway the firewall I'm good well I I'm a small town briefly discuss we'll talk talking about square just a little bit here all content of talking about well what the players are once you have into the car and how values as they not said what the players did this back in history of baseball with the Chicago White Sox it's a little different scenario well it is yes thank you not a lot of different scenario what went with the concept of was is that they gave up the game they cheated the games are expected she being yanked okay not seeing the wind they they cheated on they lose the game itself not all the players involved yeah of course that alright we got punished justice I drank alcohol marriage how far do we go so point or we we feel like there's enough retribution there that the players should suffer sometime the consequences for their actions or what they did or did not do you know how much you take away from the game itself the young fellows St I'll hear exactly what you're saying waned and I gotta run here because I got a full boat of all folks I want to talk to and thank you but let's remember this our and I and and I felt the road the you were the you were definitely going down in the hole cheating the game things like that Major League Baseball I would rather have front office executives be the sacrificial lambs in situations like this then the players themselves because the players themselves are having a hard time answering questions about this already and there's the buzzers and all that Intel that's out there or that people think is out there to be able to kind of find and see if there was an advanced level of of cheating the last thing Major League Baseball wants is to have players to be the ones that are individually identified as being a part of this and then being held accountable because if it's the big name player or if it's the right name that's going to take this scandal to an even bigger level than it already is because no one gives a damn about Geoff hoon now in the long run but they sure as hell would give a damn if by Alex Bregman name for say wrapped up into this and I'm not accusing me of cheating I'm just saying the difference in the P. R. standpoint Dylan is in Oregon next on the grass show on CBS sports radio high Dylan let's go to Ross in Cleveland Ross your next Gretsch show CBS sports radio thanks for taking my call initial thing from the get go when it was announced Stargate fish I'm very cynical about Major League Baseball Amanda for I think this was a white wash all the way through I mean they you know they focused on the players and and then they said well what I can do anything to the players when they play more special club staff sure that's malarkey it's absolute monarchy and it was just a matter of time before it through start start spilling out you know its baseball is having themselves on the back for identifying the problems supposedly and and issuing some sanctions they protected upper management they protected ownership you know take their hope was officially who's going to go away what you could accept what they said well from my point of view it's not set in in also this well everybody does it well you know it except that it was against the rules they've done electronically the disciplinary but this that that's nonsense it's a cop out I'm with ya on the whole everybody does it and Dylan thanks I need all I don't I'm not buying that I don't I don't believe it is there a level of espionage maybe going on but I don't think everybody is doing it the way the Astros are doing it and that's what people are alleging in Major League Baseball they could have a much better job of this and what Dylan brought up is all of the skepticism now right all the skeptic kids may be a lot of this stuff was on earth by the players when they're like well we better get we'd better come out and say that we're gonna give these players immunity because what they're telling us they're kind of a you know their they're peering themselves they're making themselves guilty on all this well one was given immunity in we can finger someone else crossing Cleveland's on the grass show on CBS sports radio god Ross are not Ross hello all right to go ahead I'm Josh in Tucson hi Josh go ahead I'm from Houston and I have to tell you I'm a huge Astros fan and have been for the longest time and I think what everybody's forgetting when they say you know well it's just a bunch of baseball players complaining and stuff like that you know I drove my kids to Corpus Christi we drove up to Oklahoma City to watch George Springer before he got called up you know seeing the meteoric rise and rebuilding of our franchise was welcome in our city game five was for me up the two thousand seventeen World Series was the pinnacle of what the ashes had done that year and coming back and winning that game and the excitement behind it and then to all find out a couple years later that they possibly cheated in order to make it happen it makes it hard for me to be a baseball fan and a father and teach my kids that cheaters never win and winners never cheat where is obvious the Astros cheated they won and there's proof of it we've heard it I heard the banging when I went to minute maid park I heard the rumors and until I found out that it was video cheating I said the same thing everybody else did everybody steel signs just change your signs that's the easiest thing to do but the Astros crossed an obvious line and she did to a level that how do I tell my kids the to be honest and do what they're supposed to do with it on the first song I taught my kids would take me out to the ballgame what I'm saying no I hear you thanks for the call there I this is Major League Baseball why did they do this to us why did they do this to us.

"New today over here all the one seven three three seven sixty six sixty six we have one good pal the neatly lined Mike Freeman is because the way on the other side of the guys you know my show in a house Sarah selling he's got your updates every twenty minutes so we always do up until five forty will be al and Jerry with the warm of show and then of course it'll be Bulma angeal it's six or else don't here in New York City and very rare that you're gonna have me specifically starting to show which massive topics but that's what we're gonna do we want to get it all out there there's a whole lot to get to tonight let's start college football playoff they will get the Astros what a performance wanted inferred by Joe Berle Joe Joe and the LSU Tigers who will win their first national championship since two thousand and seven Israelis you defeats climbs in by the score forty two to twenty five and I was talking about these yesterday in regards to the Baltimore Ravens saying the idea that bowl more food good chunk of the sheer was very much a front running team wasn't their fault they were that dominant they had a total more Jim victories where you wanted to see how they'd handle adversity you wanted to see how they would handle a situation in which the plane from behind they had died Saturday against the Tennessee Titans crumbled can you see him in a mild day never covered well in this game between LSU in question it's going to get lost stopping in the shuffle but com got all three fast start one scene jumped out to the early lead and you could tell in the early on in this game the worst injures there were some Jews for Joe barrel there were some shooters for the LSU offensive line you had a cleansing team that was coming in off this ridiculous winning streak Trevor warrants would never lost the game in college and also there on ten but that's when you can get a sense for the true heart of a champion and this is where to me Ellis who deserves all the accolades they deserve all the praise they fall behind seventeen is seven and all of a sudden Joe bar all she's got going god he's making big plays down the field to chase he's making big plays Tomasa specially in the end zone how useful is a tight end when you're inside that twenty yard line and when you walked a crime scene who had early opportunities we could feel position squander them cleansing what a ten point lead flush that away all of a sudden it becomes twenty one seventeen L. as you it becomes twenty eight seventeen Alice you when a school right fielder for staff Ellis you convert so I want to say like the remaining eighteen at the nineteen eleven points that was when you knew the offense that had been dominate all year from week two against Texas the game against Alabama to what we saw last store two weeks ago against Oklahoma was not going to be that and we have spent a good amount of time talking about the match up all of the two quarterbacks Trevor Warren so one sided cuisine Joe bar on the other side of the equation Joe borrow who was by former way college football's bass player the sheer he dominated that match up was a cross war is probably the worst game of the simpler he was overthrowing guys he seems to agree he did not have that seem command we saw against Ohio state well the same command we saw the last juror taken on Alabama this is no referendum like we're talking about yes they will more Jackson what comes to ours he's gonna be fine he's gonna be highs before running next year he is without a doubt going to be the number one pick consensus in the twenty twenty one NFL draft I will be shed any tears for travel warrants don't worry hell be a okay but he was totally out playing this game Joe Berle was flat out better and the job or role storyline is one of the more the more global rises I have ever ever seen in my years of watching college football chill bro last year had some moments played well down the stretch his only need to know he was either eighty to one hundred to one to win the Heisman Trophy hundred to one now his father was smart enough to draw a couple shekels on that bet good for him right now view the father everything's gonna basis he had on a hundred to one the kid is I've been trophy winner he's a national champion and by the way he's going to be the number one pick in the NFL draft coming out of no where what did it feel people Joe borough was not like one of these names that was on the tip of our tongue that we were talking about is like the next great potential quarterback well in the national championship game against Davos Sweeney and Venable four hundred sixty three yards five touchdowns doesn't throw an interception and rushes for another fifty eight yards and score that is what he's been doing all year now he will have to answer for is she a product of the Joe Brady spread offense that has been white saddle year that has transformed baton Rouge maybe but if you listen very bangles diver credibility and you got the number one pick in the draft so no brainer you take the Ohio native chill bro will be the number one pick coming up in April strapped he's on to sell right I don't like to a he's coming off the stream season in college football and if you the bangles looking to put people in that building an Ohio native is going to do exactly that there will be an excitement L. balls around the bangles then a guy coming off a season like this so for Joe borrow aids these remarkable wow for his career that will go down as an all time success story we'll call us of what happens in the NFL a college jump from a junior or senior year in Saint and John who has been is no mad over college coach stops along the way U. S. C. was cultured all may see was an assistant in so many different places and you can find the amount of people who did has feet the idea of keeping him long term LS you are how could you settle on a larger on what do you think it would add on John well here's what else she was thinking they got a native son who just relates that fan base he relates to the point here is that he's recruiting in that area and he's like this full bureau man I love my kid to play for you one of those coaches dabble Sweeney who's gonna embracing give me a hug cho chose got this like crazy insane type of personality that he brings what is called tag is the one I love it how can you not love go gel now those guys will live in college football war they will live forever in baton Rouge one of the more dominant seasons will ever seen college football camp by sixty touchdown passes for Joe Berle and an undefeated national championship fellas use side self as far as that goes now the other big topic and it's a massive topic the fact that the national championship is sharing center stage with this is all you need to know about what kind of day this was in Major League Baseball it's a landmark day for all the wrong reasons in the sport because what went down as far as the punishment goes from rob Manfred towards AJ Hinch towards Jeff oneil and the Houston Astros send I think we will all over the mindset baseball in man for it with all of the video evidence with the videos we saw on Twitter from our buddy John boy they were gonna come down on AJ henshin Jeff Luna in fact when I woke up today and I see the Jeff passing Tweedle whoever had it first I think was passing now suspended for the error suspended for the year losing first and second round draft picks in twenty twenty and twenty twenty one I know some Yankee fans in some of the baseball fans would tell you otherwise I thought it was a harsh penalty don't minimize what the draft picks mean a year's suspension is like own shorted waters four hundred sixty two games for GM and for a manager I thought it was pretty severe but the engine crane the owner of the Houston Astros took me to another level because he basically said this stench that is associated with these two despite all they have accomplished and remember you're not firing two guys that work one of the male responsible for you know a couple winning years well they fired a GM and manager who too much will service a GM and manager one hundred games three straight years and by the way the two thousand seventy while service but they stand an embarrassment was enough for Jim crane camp level and now the Astros will be forever tainted now the idea take a championship the Asterix vacated stupid okay let's call I guess we'll watch the games we all know what happened the Houston Astros won the two thousand seventy Walser is bought their police in baseball history we'll be forever questioned especially when you consider their performance at home in the two thousand seventeen post season run if you the New York Yankees if you all the Los Angeles Dodgers yes you have a whole lot of reasons to be upset about what the Astros were involved with that is totally fair now you get to the other rankle this and based upon everything that you read to death and this is really the bomb shell for me to come out of the Monday preceding suicide from the firings of one al and AJ Hinch the fact that Alex Cora who remember was the bench coach for Houston in twenty seventeen according to this report he is basically the ringleader in orchestrating the report roam the center field cameras the banging on the drums all the stuff that was going down our school was the ringleader for all of this the sole operational as to win a championship he goes to the Boston Red Sox proceeds to get involved in stuff that's going on in twenty eighteen out scores dead man walking I mean let's call like it is there is no way in the world if you'll Boston Red Sox see what has happened now to Geoff hoon our agents you know they're going to the store to twenty twenty season what house score is your manager no chance and I got a call actually for many times over a couple days ago mentioning Al scores job security I said you know what I'm sorry he's probably going to be back on so they're probably not going to go to that extreme put you just watched him witnessed what baseball and the Astros ownership told AJ Hinch John Herron the Boston Red Sox who want that follow him around No Way this is a very easy out for the red Sox down before the red Sox even can make a call baseball I think is going about score some have discussed the possibility of a lifetime ban I would argue he's going to get more than the one year old now and AJ Hinch dot because these direct responsibility tied towards him he's now operate in this way in two different places Paul I think is going to drop the hammer on our score if you think about where the red Sox rat brain Anaheim bloom all looking to cut payroll hearing a possibility Mookie Betts been on the market this could be the perfect opportunity for the red Sox is saying a lot new GM cotton cost resetting including resetting with or manager Paul it it's pretty wild that we could be going into the twenty twenty season and AJ Hinch is not going to be the manager of the Houston Astros and is a pretty darn good chance that Alice Cora is not going to be the manager of the Boston Red Sox.

saw that you and your wife for doing some super cool in Nashville were you guys if it's not open it's going to be opening your opening a store where the food will be for a grocery store the food will be free yeah we're building a right now the the I guess it'll be all ready to go sometime after the first of the year but it is it's based on one in Santa Barbara that we use we started taking our kids to and what what ours is called is called the store and it's meant to have dignity unlike a lot of you know brown bag programs or something where it's like they give you a hand out or something in the back out of the back of a truck it looked like basically here we are saying bring your family if you qualify you lost your job you're on hard times walk through it looks like a grocery store but everything's free for those who qualify and the kids know the kids don't know anything about you know what the parents are going through which is one of the big problems you know maybe this lost when you have to take a hand out it's such a cool concept so well that's that's great what is it open when you take it open will probably start feeding people Sir right after the first year like a soft open where we sort of start and figure it out and and and then it'll be I think it probably spring time it'll be full blown right now Brad Paisley is with us and he just got back from vacation with the Dodgers right teacher clinker shop at our at our pleasure that's so what do you what do you like you when your wife and played his wife it's now it's eight thirty on vacation right eight thirty PM what do you all do eight thirty to about ten and on the roof resort here AT and claims case you know it's like we just I just love sort of picking his brain about baseball I'm sure that the the vacation was work for him because yeah this kid that I felt like he had like a kid that won a contest with I think you know everything about baseball which hearing in the offseason and everything else but he's one of the great do you talk about people that do charity Alan played are the greatest two people I think that I've possibly ever met it's just amazing how great they are as and what they do for their communities and as you know he's amazing yes supervalu definitely is for a newbie here in LA is it is a big deal uhhuh he is and he's he takes it serious it takes a really serious he wants to win and he wants to bring a championship home to the city AZ what is now check this out he don't be don't his special Brad Paisley thinks he's special which is tonight on eight BC eight nine central and you have some amazing artists with the Jonas brothers on the show Carrie Underwood Tim McGraw all performing hanging out and showcasing national yeah right I I could you know what it's like I went to ABC a little while ago and I said I have this idea for a show that takes place in national that shows everything that's going on this this because we need to that city you've probably been there lately if Geoff hoon it's crazy I mean yeah my sister just move there she lives there so we go down quite a bit yeah I bet and you know it's it's an interesting thing what's happening there and I just said it needs represented on television and on top of that I that I could get a bunch of my friends to to show up and have fun and and man they did is just it's it's an amazing thing to see these people willing to sort of show up goof around not take themselves too seriously in the way I got in there that basically said look you can roast me this is not something where I'm trying to look cool and and actually came into focus when I name when well I say I named it I named it the bread daily specials somebody else added things he says it really kind of came into focus because it was like you know with the Jonas brothers I said to them I said look let's do something where you goof around with me where you you know you give me a hard time Peyton manning is all over the special it has become my partner in crime on television as you see and do you know the relationship before nationwide not like this I mean I knew him but this is this is fun because we're talking about somebody that has crazy comedic timing for an athlete I've never seen it like I mean honestly there's people who study with the Groundlings that doll yeah you know that don't have the characters Terry do pretty well yourselves you know you and all that well I agree with that Brad Paisley thinks you special tonight on ABC Juan the good guys out there man thanks so much for calling in Bradwell disease in a great holiday yeah please tune in you you guys to acknowledge by doing this since everyone in Nashville no one doesn't like anyone everyone you mean you know in the world of come hi there music "Speaking my mind Nami he ought to pour for Kemira with alternate forget pretty pretty kiaku calculator Khaki Tenneco tied Kartal and ask questions of Geoff Hoon who was the Labor Defense Minister so he asked the question Hoon better than me and at the Norman he said I need to speak to you Mason Jur less all character assassination to detail picnic in the book and it's used here New Zealand doesn't it and they they try black the character and they're they're quiet calls made Arthur you should be aware that such and such so that's another classic technique isn't it I know that all journalists eventually get that thing advertisers is are we advertise in your publication or on your TV station you know what are you doing this for but I think more of it happens a New Zealand because we're a small community what is your view or assessment of the New Zealand media right now what's the state of play in in your view are I think the queen of journey awesome that I did intelligent long phone counter fees for Simon at Television Museum and the old versions twenty twenty and sixty minutes I largely gone mm-hmm and I think that's a great shame we have excellent radio which is terrific but what New Zealand really needs and my view is a proper Lee funded public broadcaster television broadcast. Yes you know I was in Australia. Ooh part of the book tour and did a lot of interviews on the ABC and I've done interviews for the on the BBC and I come back to New Zealand. I think we're we really lacking that a TV public broadcaster preferably without the advertising. I don't think that's too idealistic actually properly funded The ethical mandate to cover the community to do proper reporting that's what this country lacks why do you think we are so reluctant governments of either striped actually do this does many things about New Zealand which I think just happen without us taking paying close attention it's because nice people it's because we're I'm a aucklander side Dunedin nights but really enjoying relocating Dunedin we're nice people were community we will laxed sometimes we don't WanNa get too pinup an angry about things and while we're not getting pinned up an angry things are done in our name which later on we thank might be that isn't such a good idea like suddenly somebody came to you and said well Pat Stevens Age should be different maybe it should carry adds maybe it should be a different kind of board caster I sometimes think we don't want the the New Zealanders to have the anger and the vicious political discourse of those other countries but maybe we should get a bit more angry more often about the things that are worth getting angry about and you've spent some considerable time working in television in New Zealand Kevin some fascinating stories particularly interested in the book about the Official Secrets Act and running found a vet tells them how that how that played yes the Official Secrets Act is tremendously draconian thing which puts us they say to stop national secrets coming out but actually it's mostly used to stop journalism that they don't like there's a famous walk Old Bravo two zero based on probably the most famous military mission of all time written by a man called any mcnabb it's the best selling book of all I think this man whose real name is Steven Billy Mitchell was on this mission and he was with a New Zealander the New Zealanders described focus mark the Kiwi as I was sitting there waiting the bulk at television three being a fairly straightforward sort of character I thought to myself I wonder if not the key a New Zealander and if so could I find him an interview him so the British government had allowed mcnabb's book to be published and it was a bestseller so his book portrays a very very different accounts Vince mcnabb's book is a classic British dealing to Taylor AOL Blah Blah Blah Mark McKay we spoke Mike Coburn was extremely critical of the British military and the government and the mission so here's what the Brits did they allowed the mcnabb ought to be published and when we sought to get marks interview on television in New Zealand they hit us like a hammer with an injunction brought lawyers spin over a million pounds sterling on the lawyers took us all the way to the top corner New Zealand we finally won thankfully because by that stage TV and run up of million dollars worth of legal bills but they hammered poor Mike with the official secrets act he was forced to sign it he was ordered by his superior officer to sign it so he could not lawfully refuse that order and they harassed him and the sad thing is now I can tell you Andy McNab A multi-million air he has a chateau in France all his fifth wife apparently and Mike is still working on the circuit as security man and living in Singapore and punish because he tried to tell the truth tell them what the mission was the Moebius so bravo two zero was they went behind enemy lines in the first Gulf war and the job was to find the Scud missiles for those of you recall there was a huge issue because Saddam was firing Scud missiles into Israel in an attempt to get the Israelis to join the war if the Israelis had joined the war the coalition which at that stage included a lot of Arab countries would have broken up because of the various dynamics with Israel so and the funny thing is mcnabb made up hearts of his story was he didn't really need to do I had a classic moment in this interview he McNab describes being tortured for those of you with the book torture and his head has teeth pulled out and so forth so I'm sitting there with the Kiwi guy and I said what about the torture and he said well we were in the same prison we were in the cell extort we were released on the same day he said I got an interesting photo to show you so we pull out the photo and these mcnabb and the Kiwi Guy theus smiling at the camera perfect said of white teeth but you know what I have tried to get the story done in Britain for a number of times now in the book which is published in Britain thank you Gareth and mcnabb scares off the British media because these days somebody's who's a media company can spend a fortune defending it and even if you win you've lost because it's taken an enormous amount of you baton this area of war reporting and especially when it comes to special forces operations is really fraud isn't and I think we all know in New Zealand I'm unlikely up Yata and you you hear the story and as an official citation about what we on the Hindu Kush but you don't really know do you fighting sort of heroism thing ride your job is to get the truth which might be unpalatable you coming up against this might of a military machine what country it is they really really flawed here isn't it it is I mean it's some of it is classically the fog of war I mean if there's a conflict going on who is not walking dispassionately watching the two sides shoot each other taking notes and saying Oh that person shot there and that civilian was hit they're they're doing what everybody else did in hiding I'm trying to stay alive to go back to the mcnabb and Mike Story one moment where he was wounded the Qiwei the interview the Kiwi says I was screaming why hit often pain in mcnabb's interview he sees the Kiwi was hit and I couldn't hear anything now it may be that McNair Bazal I out of guilt about leaving the wounded men there but it may be area so it was just one one way and that's the story this is what happened I'll tell you the truth what's wrong with saying we're not sure this could have happened this could have happened you you're totally right I lake show and teach a lot of journalism students around the world I have of course knicks here at the University of Otago but I've taught in Australia and Britain I really hammer home to the students first off life is not black and white issues the not black and white you do not have to reach a black and white conclusion secondly even if you investigate something exhaustively I've had be a wonderful line story maybe just 'cause I'm slow but I've been investigating that for twenty nine years and I don't know the whole truth about what happened we absolutely really have to say to get the public to trust us to admit when we're wrong and say when we don't know things the admitting win we column called we got it wrong wow the fuss the management the advertising people the Branding People Stephen you can't possibly league do that you can't possibly say we got it wrong as it why not I believe people will trust a media organization more if it had owns up to its mistake six and it's honest I have a colleague Peter Frei in Australia who tried to do the same thing with the Sydney Morning Herald we were talking in Sydney recently and we both one of the terrible things that's happened in the last thirty years is that trust in journalism has plummeted okay so if you add that to the mix we're talking about before if you add that to information disorder and people finding clever ways to lie to you and journalists not having the resources if you had the final factor that you don't even trust may be good journalism when you see it that's always appear for disaster not only for journalism for years when when it seems pretty hopeless to get the story this is from the toolbox the toolbox of deception it's called delay delay delay night and he was ready to go home after being a quiet night as usual which should at border meal packed by his grandmother he was a quiet but not unfriendly Ryan and was known to his colleagues an honest hard worker there was never any trouble when Richard was around which had walked to the dimly lit car park whereas pride and she delayed driving off pertaining to look for something in her own vehicle while keeping the commodore insight in her rear view mirror which it had conversation with whoever was inside and then gotten things must be okay she thought and as she drove away she saw the lights of Richard's card wow was parked across a driveway blocking it and obstructing the road which had loved the car he never would have lifted in that state and whoever had been driving.

"Meanwhile, Crawford's over there fighting of David Benham Vitas fucking Geoff Hoon and now gone, and no one is saying he's a b side, technically. Now, let the judge. Let me just say this really, really. American on technically, even canal did more pay per view and Crawford significantly of. That doesn't help that just shows that his side is stronger than him as an aside that doesn't help cover. Guess what it does? Do it allows the begun. All on pay per view victim poster was unknown. God comes to the stage. Nobody to know him. And that's a carry. It's a perfect comparison. Because Jack, and the UK fans are trying to say Brazil is unworthy of pay per view. So again, if Deontay wilder fails, it should be okay. Because Crawford fail came back. Still pound for pound still a side to Earl in certain argument. Why? Let me just. The while the wider point on alluding to is I'm trying to find the root to the ceasefire wanna reason why eight Mike. Field on those in. They don't like. Already. Major isn't the one talking about eight side renting the fight from happening. Wait. He's. Usa and all that way. Wait, wait, just because you said many times while there's any feelings enough. I wanna entertain conversations fifty nothing when we proves himself with the numbers that he does etc. Can go back and say, save your views. He didn't say with fury iron. You need me. I don't need you warm Senate. He's more susceptible to gain any feelings than any other heavyweight. So if he does Lou numbers, he doesn't really have a leg to stand on when he comes to negotiate these that's why I'm saying that if he fails I'm talking about his career being over if he doesn't do two hundred thousand I don't care about that. Why I'm trying to say is it makes a fight for AJ or fulfilling difficult because they will be ES. We told you you'll now the you couldn't do the numbers with us. This is where you are thus the point I'm trying to make not and he's career is unfair. But then it has gotta veggie keep built like Crawford rebuilt so their nest and. Differences. I don't remember. Nez when did Crawford fight and go into pay per view, where he fought the likes of the wall of the fury of his division while the went into foot feary heated three hundred sets something thousand buys. He then go and do at the time numbers and to turn. But the postal was considered a good fighter at one forty and good with. Mike on some people's lists. Like Jim Lampley for some reason he had him, right? Above crawford. That's all I'm saying. Unit about lists. Like Khan is in China understand is that you cannot take out the variable of fury and expect wild to do the same numbers. According to percents agree automated. That's like you telling me that AJ versus anybody. Does the same numbers as AJ versus fury. That's not true..

"But we all know that styles fights and one fighter could struggle against somebody just based on the kind of style their present to them. So I don't necessarily think that that means anything, but I will give him after salute credit for what he was able to do in a situation where many pack was neighbor to do it. But also. Now on to say that no go ahead. Gonna say. We know that Jeff, orange and pack. We didn't it. Thoughts by that many people felt that pack your won that fight. But in addition to that by facts, Jeff horn won the fight and he got the boat now at that point Terrance coughing when he fall him had a better performance than Manny Pacquiao did. And that fight. Now. Agreed or in a how you wanna spend that. I mean, that's the objective minus opinion. But I think we all agree. That Crawford had a better performance. Mankato RV with the super chat RIP to bud tonight, and our p with the super-duper chat R P to bud tonight. Got any more thoughts on that audio before we go to the next? I mean, we can go to the next one man because I don't think in my opinion, Jeff horn win over an older, Manny Packer who scenes numbing excuse seem that he was taking Jeff horn, very lightly because many Packer was not looking to unify the other champions at that time. All right. Let's see what else. Mr. Crawford saying. I don't even know credit. Jeff one was a bum. Everybody out be they say about. You know, if I be. One of the other top welterweight. See see why he would. Why he'll saying because he no he wait call him bum in what saying? Damn. He was a washed up. He was overrated. Mike. Mike. Mike. You're if I'm listening. I'm listening is Jeff horn over rated. I think he's overachiever. All right. Mario is Jeff horn overrated since day one. Yeah. And Ron how do you feel about Jeff horn? And the question got bed, Geoff Hoon, be Americana. Now, not Mario Mario. I bet. He book I'm Khan ads right now. I you notice how he went to you just now just went all into mind. Okay. You had a chance no respect for your co host ever. My honest opinion. I think Jeff horn was gift a win. All right..

"And anger Noddy had the WB super, and they even had to negotiate and he was even acting like yo I wanna bigger percent teller on where where we say, y'all gain us a real chatman? He deserved more where people like, oh, why are they negotiate ING? I mean, I don't know. What were they saying? I don't want to lead you. Look at the end of the day. We as hardcore fans respect the sanction bodies of the actual belt. We know that the belts itself is a painting. It used to be one than it went onto like now to three to be undisputed. Now, we have four and now designed be oh is kind of being brought up a lot. Now more than I've ever heard in boxing. So it's annoying and seeing second versions second tiers and vacancies interims all this stuff. You know, we wanna see guys fight for the bout and beat the man to beat the man. So all right. I got this shit, bro. I'm gonna open to like fully. So that I could be able to. I cannot chill chill chill t you had a way you gotta way 'cause we got to be able to pause this, homey. To Rippin trip and be I mean, I promise you I wish I could debate him. I want to debate him. That's why I don't call him want that smoke you notice it. I can't I can't say who are for. Only people out for was undefeated champions. Well, I spot we stop it right there. You heard him say, well, and I stopped it. But look. Going. We wanna just busy him say at welterweight. Well, the way so I got coffers resume poop keep playing keep playing at. He he corrected himself, the Knicks korva resume ups on home. The only ones on let me sign an image on right? Wait climbs. He was a lot of correct in that. Oh, he himself didn't. Yeah. Very nikolai. Yeah. Enrichment. Okay. Because see he fought Jeff home for the Libya. If for Jeff for the oh, and he only had two welterweight fight up to what Jeff Hornacek. Jose been Vitas. Right, right. Let's go back to take. I can't help. Oh, I didn't bought to undefeated, but an individual you see how you may to undefeated World Vision. But I ain't I find nobody. They they wanna give pack our credit in the world for fighting people. But they don't wanna get me. No credit for stopping Jeff horn, and he busted up bully pack. Yeah. The fight shouldn't even been closing if Jeff Morton was a mom, right. It feels and I will say that. I agree with him. I agree one. He made Geoff Hoon fight. Look. Completely different than what Paco may fight like. So we agree so far or as on that point because you know, early, obviously, we did not agree. Dan, did just like I did made it easy fight and gotta monitor. But did he do that? No. He went to war with that, man. Got busted up by that man got pushed around like a little kid by that, man. Jeff wanted him Spence was considered as two of the biggest division, but you know. Now, I'm just not feeling that like have people said Jeff owns a big welterweight eight year. But they never compared him the, Spence. N even if he's not comparing he's just saying they were the two biggest considered in the what like he's still trying to use that Earl Spencer cachet, that's one clip. Mike sent me. We're gonna go to the next. But before we do any thoughts from the co host like he can say, whatever he wants. Like like, we can say whatever you want..
