Good morning, we have built a ring of stone ran around a large oak tree in our backyard. The outer diameter of the rings. Probably a seat on the inner diameter is about 70 Police Donald domestic six inches deep. That's no touch each other around the outer circumference of the circle. And we've got ST Augustine outside that wants to come through where the stones touch Because that touch point is just maybe in a few minutes. Why did you come in to come in to towards the tree from the hotter Edge. Inner edge has it like a two inch gap between each stone that tapers down, so it's a little tiny pie shape. There's something I could put in sand or something I can put in between those stones that will keep the ST Augustine from from Trying to get through. In most cases, especially when working with the stone You're not gonna like this answer. But mortar You could make it a solid bring and mortar, the stones together. It's not an unreasonable project. And even though Based on the size, you're stating. It's not exactly small. Those roots and there's so many routes out there so long as you don't try to drive it like two or three FT. Deep No, You shouldn't have an issue with the roots center exposed. I wish I knew the name of the other tool, but basically you just put it on the ground and you push and rock it back and forth and you keep working until you know what you're doing. But you got it and just just very quickly live nematodes going down.

If you didn't have some weeds showing up I I see hand bit everywhere. I see the polo annual The Bluegrass, the annual bluegrass showing up already if you didn't have those coming already, when we start this warm up This is going to trigger all of the weed seeds that are going to give us issues in May and June and July, particularly things like sand burgers. For those of you old enough to remember that commercial? Sorry. Been out the last couple of weeks, but we're back in business. This is actually a live show not recorded one We're looking at A good time for our garden. This soil moisture is good. It is onion planting time. So your local nursery and get your onions. It's time to be getting those in the ground. You can replant pretty much everything that you consider planting in October and November, do it again. Seriously. We have a period of time. That's large enough that you can go out there and decide I would like to see The more beets or carrots. You could get your broccoli starts. Your local nursery should have them. You can't get your cauliflower plenty of time to put that in now to that should work out well and Then you can just have a second round. And The way you got. There is the best growing time in Texas right now, for the purposes of We can plant every two weeks. Everything you have in the ground right now that you're enjoying plant every two weeks. Probably through the end of March. And you should be able to harvest almost all of those plants and enjoy them. This is the perfect time of the year for it. We should be getting just enough rain that the soil moisture should Pretty good for us. No, we always talk about don't work, wet soil. Now. We pulling, go for it. Soil moisture is really good right now. It's probably really easy to get the weeds out. Do you want? Take a garden fork and really be digging in the muck and mud. If the soil is that wet? No, you don't. You destroyed the soil chills. It takes nature a long time to rebuild that inn on the soil biology will do it. But why take the step backwards? You want to go out there with your favorite hand tool and put a little hole in the ground and put a new started go for it Perfect time of the year. That's okay, but it wouldn't be out there with a shovel or for really turn into the garden. Pull out your weeds. That's a good choice. Um Make sure that you Are targeting. Early. By that, I mean We're gonna see a host of weeds that show up at this time of the year. You want to get him early before they can reproduce on you so that you break that seed cycle and you don't have to deal with them every single year. So Today's weather is perfect for doing that. You can run out there and quickly pull out the weeds, The soils being what you'd be able to get him out easily. You're gonna see a lot of weeds right now where it's like, What's this? What's that lot of hand bit that's showing up. I see it out there. Ground Ivy, all that kind of stuff. The sooner you get it out. Less likely, it's going to recede itself. So you want to keep that in mind? Now. Um, been wandering my own garden. My fruit trees. Are coming into that period of time where I'm gonna have to prune them. The pruning is not necessarily severe. It's not like I gotta hack away with him with a chain saw. The goal of pruning. Is to provide a strong structure of the trees so it can support the fruit It's going to produce Now I have a pair. No matter how carefully I prune that pair I'm gonna have to spin it. A lot of our fruit trees. This is an action that's really really got to be done to get a good yield.
