"Gene Davis character in Lanka's good night like that. That's it's like, it's like, that's in my head can. And that's what happened like she lived through. And then seemed like family now and I'm gonna just chill. And then. Making gang, of course up to carnival as they do. Why was there a drive by at the carnival that's you know, who's on fairest wheel that they actually want to kill literally. There's like a gang bang with cotton changes. I just came, you put up with that for the candy apple. I didn't know it was going get shot. I hope the is that the plot is that amazing gang got cheated. It oughta games at the carnival. Outta Carney's like I really want to fucking teddy bear like fucking, come back the up the place and these gangs. I read take this like, and then the other thing was that she had especially the origin story of the punisher because like the punisher staffing filling was like a park or the carnival, and then motherfuckers get the killing his family and shit. And now you should kill him because he's gonna kill all of you. And I'm always into that. And then Jennifer garner is one of my as so, yeah, I really am looking forward to peppermint. Like fun and I think, Yep. Sorry, go ahead. I was just gonna say, like part of the reason I'm excited for you compared to take it. I think Leeson started something with taking where it was kind of rainless action movie with somebody who has been an action star, Jennifer garner alias. But it's almost like that they started this thing where it's like white white actors in their sixties who were done are now getting a second breath of fresh air of second wind where they get to be an action like champion Koster, Liam, Neeson's, and now it's like yelling down the lights, Jennifer garner, and hopefully it goes out to other of it. Opportunity to make like actually. So should be fun. Yes. One of my favorite John of movies saw said my second favorite was of sci-fi white people fucking shit until it kills them, which you know, that's that's like a staple of the Hollywood's. Like, let's make that movie game for me is, you know, even like venom, venom looks like that, but but they just calling in the comic book movie like it just took venom. It was like that was just make it white people fucking mini kills them and you're like, okay, I'm down with. My first, my first favorite Jonah movie is impossible, white man, movies. Yes. Those are like, you know, guys, Raper die hard. And then like you say, would take it take into another step and was like, what are we made in more impossible by having a sixty year old white man kill people. Now it's called impossibly white man, but you don't actually have to be a white man to be possible white man. That's just the name of the rely. You don't. You just came out. This is impossible. White man movie starring diso. And so this movie of peppermint looks like impossible. White man starring an older woman, and I love that trickle down like that. Meritocracy of it. Whereas like all right guys about enough of the same white do's less get some chicks in there. And so I kind of I'm really looking forward to her getting their chance to just like randomly kill people with impunity care. What about you anticipated? Twenty eighteen movie coming up of twenty eighteen of the third time. I know. I know I am..

"It is biz. Yeah, that's what I heard, and I put it. It was in the regular. It was in the original movie when they screened it and it happened like I don't know three quarters of the way through or something and the audience from there on just said, oh, fuck this guy. We don't care anymore. We don't. We don't want him to win. He's an asshole because he killed his weird monkey cat. So they took it out of movie. That's what they did. Yeah. Because girls, no, I think they love that gross stuff. That's Kronenbourg Gronberg wanna one. Okay. So let's try. Let's try and summarize, just in case people haven't seen it. So it starts off like right away telling you what's going on. It's it's Seth. Brundle who's played by Jeff Goldblum. And his then girlfriend in real life by the way, gene Davis plays Veronica. Who's like a journalist who's working for a science magazine called particle magazine, which is very funny. Is that a real magazine? Do you know about this? Don't think so. Okay. I don't. I don't really know her too. Yeah, I don't. I don't know many signs magazines at all, but anyways, so there it's right away. He's telling her like he's trying to hit on her, right. It's very flirtatious and he's saying I have something that is going to change the world and all these other scientists that you're trying to interview. Don't you know you gotta come see what I'm what I'm dealing with. The model come back to my lab school me to type. It's very strange very forward and they're in the car. He says he gets motion sickness. You guys have motion sickness a little bit about away in Kogaz out there. It's a nice of rawness driving. What when do you get motion sickness. As if I'm sitting in the backseat of a vehicle, you're not Notting like that happens to you to know. I mean, you wouldn't believe some of the things I had to ride in doing feel working like the jungles Guatemalan, stuff like that, you, you get motion, sick, your your break, but no, but no, but I'm all point that out that I got fear of heights. Something necessarily put me up on a ladder or top of tower may tree, and it's like now a little like like we're part of a roller coaster ride on certain card, and I'm gonna get a little. But if I'm driving, I do like no problem pummeled realm engaged. Oh, yeah. Yeah, humble break home bracket. Okay. Cool. Yeah, I don't really get motion sickness, height. I'm not afraid of heights, but it's not my favorite thing to do to be really like high up and look down. I'd rather just not look down. I guess, anyways, they get to his lab. Something really funny happens to me. He starts playing piano. He's got a piano in his lab, and he starts. Saying, like pretty aggressively, like right away. And so that kind of very like show offi, I guess, which made me feel like, well, it's our main character. I'm supposed to care about this guy. And now I kind of feel like he's a prick. So I also wanted to ask you is if you've ever done anything like embarrassing on a first date without realizing it may be like to show off. Yeah, of course. I'm being numerous times..

"Please make more movies starring a female character i think if that was my goal it'd be very hard it'd be very hard slog because you've probably run into this the concept that women will watch men but men won't watch women so it's not our fault we have to make everybody male in the lead characters and no matter how many movies starring women come out that are successes we never seem to get moment of going i think it's because there's this just fear that that's true and so we can't do that and those movies must be a one off so i don't say that what i say is whatever you're gonna make whatever you're already gonna make i'm not saying at a message do anything different whatever you're already making before you cast it go through and change a bunch of first names to female and add some diversity in there too and wherever it says a crowd gathers put comma which is half female and there you have it you've got a genderbalanced script probably might be more interesting now that some of the characters have had a gender swap because they won't be stereotypes clearly if they were meant to be a man and and it's easy and it's fun simple ultimately we want writers to write parts for women and it's great when they do right incredible well drawn characters for women but it doesn't happen anywhere near enough and it'd be simple enough in so many many cases there's very few characters that couldn't be either a man or a woman gene davis i'm so grateful that you came in to talk to us today what a pleasure thank you.

"We also had a lot with jane davis in this episode and really starting to pinpoint some of her specific viewpoints she talked with mark usher she believes in claire underwood why move i why did the syrian baby effect so much yeltsin exactly clear on what it was about the syrian baby that gotta her did she had a baby with mark usher maybe i mean that that that seems like it's totally out there but look this show i could totally see that being some sort of reveal is that baby doug is it time travelling doug why i mean how old is doug oh you mean dougie a not the baby the issues hold not the syrian baby you know the syrian baby is not dog yet circuit died out the doug is there a be something and that why why mark sure hates the dog and vice versa they have a daddy issues it's like a luke skywalker darth vader type thing man the that that would be the physics which needs i am your father no just gets a bottle of whisky um takes care of that many cuts off his hand man very dramatic this certainly would be uh we'll see if we get into a some sort of a duel between a dog and um and daddy usher the out half saw the all the best stampers have daddy issues or eight muslims lost episode that's right are um so i real of the scene towards the the episode where frank was backed down in that seller with jane davis talking about what she wants versus what he wants yeah i think we've probably gotten some gene davis in frank one on one but it's always good when we're getting conversations in the stairwell in they always have that spot where petrov.

"It's so interesting to know that claire has this ability now at this very interesting point in their relationship where we are getting to a point where baby claire is going to end up as the president of the united states for rank while he is sort of clawing tooth and nail to stay at his job does seem resigned to the fact that of use the word resign but he does seem to be coming to terms that we need to keep claire protected we need to keep her out of this yet in claire doesn't really lean one way or the other it seems like she says that either way they lose but we do know that claire is making deals with gene davis we've talked about the gene davis impacts and she's come onto the show in that was what i was alluding to earlier i think you know the jane davis kind of has her you know whatever you want to caught at one o'clock like an alliance of people that are working to get claire as the president and unseat frank in that and i think j davis might be behind these leaks in an who knows who else is in on us besides jane claire adding durant is in on this as well i mean though laundry list could go on and on about how many people are in on the league side think that that's going to be part of finding up in these next two episodes but it also comes at a time between franken claire when there is the most dis trust between them since the early days of season for free the claire underwood vice presidential campaign yet this uh this whole franken claire president vice president thing fell apart pretty quickly where enough frank is now in the position that care walker was in.

"He is going to keep trying to negotiate his way into the white house it seems like although this is you know sean jeffries is another character that we songs episode who tried to negotiate and ask for something too big too early like we saw with romero and sort of like we saw with frank talking to pawtucket garrick walker aci this is johnny these vera who wants to ask you are you to anymore comments like i am that lien is going to end up dead before the end of the season i don't think she's gonna end up dead i think they might come after her especially now that they've taken macallen out but it was curious that gene davis offered lien a job in the fbi earned the hoover building which is where i think it's where the fbi's based as well it's going to be interesting to see what happens with leia if anything i really feel like that this is the one area where claire is making a mistake i'm not sure they they know how connected lianne is in this world why they're pushing her out a like they are and sort of like they're forcing her to act a know against the administration of necessary yeah i don't trust gene davis and actually have written down in my notes to that uh they were talking about almahdi and frank says you can thank petrov for that and j davis responds oh yes ideal in so you know i wonder if that was like a little hint that she's actually working with petrov more than we're more than she's leading on the case of the man on the russian a research vehicle that is still very interesting to me i don't it seems like like an x files sort of hanjin that the show is going down of who is this guy why was he on the russian research vessel jane davis seemed like that she's trying to erase all records of him this story has to ultimately end up connecting to something else going on here right.

"I don't know i mean it's each is weird to nazi conley for multiple episodes when he is the opponent for frank it makes me thing there's no way he's going to win yep a he's really been taking a back seat here in these last couple episodes somehow that even though he wasn't at the retreat and mark ushered in wanted to go he also like was not campaigning against that a him in hsinchu pierre needed some time off you would think that like okay let's just get through this election here in ohio but uh they needed samarn are yeah i think they said he was in cleveland just briefly at the end of that news clarify they said he was the only one who's been doing anything but um you know we're not seeing it and we're just hearing about a a little bit and there is only so much time although the last few episodes have been shorter than live and let closer to forty five minutes jaza um you know i don't know why we're not getting any edit on on uh mr conway and not looking good for team conway i one other thing i life from this episode i i liked the back story of that mark usher tried to work for frank but told frank that he left the paying in francs that i don't trust anybody who tries to work for free so i good note in terms of of people on a house of cards anytime somebody's trying to do something for free for somebody we know that they're up to something and probably good in terms of thinking about gene davis who seems to have come out of nowhere willing to do almost anything for clair and it's not really asking for much yet now everybody's gotta price on the show so um there's there's something going on with us your there's something wrong with jane davis.
