"Okay it was actually the school if went okay and actually they say he was one of the smartest people that walked those halls And so they When fidel castro to gawronski enough he kicked out all the priests in the catholic church so the jesuits moved from cuba from havana. Cuba to miami and started this can continue the actual school it just it just moved. Wow just move but really the the jesuits focused on you know volunteering. Like i mentioned earlier education Helping the needy you know basically. The selfishness selfless Type of perspective Which nowadays is hard to do with social media and everything. And what's going on in the world but i go back to those days at belen. Jesuit antler yola. Remind myself of you know what i learned what i experience with with with the different different priests and of course my my friends and colleagues yeah. Did you speak spanish and english after school. Absolutely so Yep spanish classes of migrant parents spoke. spanish My parents certain extent would speak spanish as well And and then when i I continued spanish in college. I also you know Picked up portuguese ryan. And then i lived in antiga in i was in international. Private banking had a great opportunity to travel in america which was great for my spanish. Immersion is important right. It was great for my spanish Anita anita practice. Yes me fanny great. Okay so let's talk about going to loyola new orleans and continued this same worldview perspective on your education. That's what drew there right absolutely. I mean there was a few reasons. "A billion is trying to do. But it's a long way from here to there. But it's that's that's an one bit of the equation. I could see might be working. Yeah it's scarcity the close league and i think that's the single biggest influence on all of this. Now it is funny for me to see like mls at one point said we're going to stop at thirty teams that actually they said twenty eight and thirty. Now they're saying thirty two you do wonder how high they go. I can see them going to forty teams and having an mls one in an mls to or even the forty team league with two conferences and eastern west. Like they do now like they're in a much better spot obviously than they were ten fifteen years ago and one thing i have to remind myself. Is that while it seems crazy to me. Mls teams are being valued at eight hundred billion dollars. That's still quite a bit. Less than teams are valued in baseball. Nba nfl even ice hockey. I have to think about it in those terms to write fifa again going to be something that i've shamelessly nicked off wikipedia which is my second research. But there's a lovely. There's a quite we've got just a gawronski by this. So we've got in february twenty eleven while announced a possible bid to become present afifa in the upcoming election to unseat incumbent set blatter but pulled out before the official deadline after failing to an endorsement owner of a football association as a result of walls bid fief amended its presidential nomination process by requiring endorsement of five associations. So just what was going on there. That sounds like a fun afternoon but cup of coffee. Yeah it was fine. Because i remember in early twenty eleven. That was right after. I remember december second twenty. Ten was this hugely historical day for fi. Fi think that was when they awarded the world cup to russia for twenty eighteen and qatar. For twenty twenty two. And i think that was the day that the world saw the people running fee and had maybe suspicions in the past about whether it was clean organization but that was the day that their lack. I no longer have suspicions about this. And and i knew there was an election for the fee for president. Coming up in twenty eleven set ladder was running for reelection and most of the time. This place fever that describes itself as a democracy has only one candidate elections. And i remember talking to a friend of mine gab. Marcatti who's terrific journalist based in the uk. And i asked him. I was like because he and i lived in a house together with a couple of other journalists at the world cup south africa. I remember asking him. Can anyone run for for president. And he looked up the rules and he was like looks like it. All you need is one federation to nominate you..

"Races anymore, and that's why what you're doing, and so many people like you around the state is essential to keeping our freedoms at a local level. Right? Agreed. Agreed and we got to start somewhere and I you know, I racked my brain. I mean, I spent 2020 just beating my head against the wall. We're open. We're closed. We're open. Where? 25% capacity. Here's a $20 an hour minimum wage. You know it just banging my head against the wall trying to keep up with the madness. And really thinking about how do I fight back? What is the best way for me to fight back and we're at war, and there was so many things. There is school board and right. You know our Children's vegetation and So of course I thought about that. But for me, I really felt like the fight for me The best fight for me. Not that I won't speak up and speak out about our Children's education. The best fight for me was to run for City Council. Yeah, So here I am, And, uh, You know, I look forward to rattling a few cages. I mean, clearly you already effectively done that. If you got the the Englewood City Council members resigned, So you have the capacity to get it done. And I think the question Daniel that you ask yourself. Is what we need everyone who's listening to ask themselves. Where can you make a difference? What are you passionate about? When is enough enough? And when is it time for you to step up and whether that be actually running for office like you are. In a nonpartisan local race or for legislative seats next year. Statewide seats, congressional seats. Everything is up next year or for as I put it, adopting a candidate find someone good like you. Daniel Gawronski running for Aurora City Council. "On the line with us today. Daniel Gawronski, who's running for Aurora City Council, which is a nonpartisan race. But every race is in some way partisan and we always have good people. And not so good people running for every race and Daniel, definitely one of the good people. Um, as as a Republican party, I can tell you we have a lot of really good candidates running not only in the Aurora City Council race, but so many City Council and school board races around the state. We need to get more, but I do want to have us all here from Danielle again. Danielle welcome back to the Dan Caplis Show. Thank you for having me Christie. Absolutely. And anyone who's listening yesterday would have heard Danielle and one of the big reasons that you are running for City Council to preserve people's local rights to have a concealed carry permit to not have socialists on the Aurora City Council stop all over their right to self defense. Um, I'm guessing you have some more reasons of why you're running. I know you have an amazing story, so it's certainly love to have you share that with our listeners. Sure, I you know, I own four bars and restaurant across the Denver metro area. Two of them are in Aurora. One of them is in Inglewood, and one of them isn't shared in. Um, So needless to say, 2020, for me was was tricky. And, you know, they say you never care about government until it affects you. Mm. And people say, Daniel, what made you decide that you're you're running for City Council and I My answer to that is I didn't make that decision. That decision was made for me. They made that decision for me. But you know that they can. Only the government can only mess up used so many times. Before you say You know what? I'm here and I'm awake and I'm ready to fight and just some things that went on last year in a row the way that they ran enforcement, um on shutdowns on small businesses. Way that we were treated. What happened with our police officers during a local Elijah McClain protests. A lot of people don't know. Protesters showed up to the district one Police Department. They showed up a change, and they sort of bit shift change as to get the most police officers at one time, they changed all of the doors and lock to be as police officers in the precinct building. Two current elected sitting City Council members who were Rose Socialists depends They were at this protest, and they started a barbecue, Christie That is handed out Hampshire's and hot dogs. Absolutely. While It's It's disgusting. It is. It's disgusting. I don't even know how you classify this. And, you know, I mean, it's hard to find a word to describe that. Yeah, Yeah. Yeah, And you know, just things in the rest of the department was told to stand down. Right. They couldn't go help their fellow officers right as they were literally locked in the building to your point with chains. Yeah. Would change the doors were exchanged. If you can imagine this, um and and of course, you know as that given time, there wasn't Lot of noise made about it because individuals like myself would have shown up, you know to fight back, so we didn't know about it. I certainly didn't know about it until after the fact. Right and You know, I just started digging and digging around my hometown and the native ordinaries I love aura and So when all of this started happening, I started digging and digging. Who is on City Council? What is going on? How is this happening? How is this OK? Hmm? I started seeing the makeup of council. Then in September, we or allowed to reopen We were at 25% indoor capacity. Yeah, and one of the Socialist on council tried to shove through an ordinance for a $20 an hour minimum wage. Oh, right in the middle of right in the middle of covet. We're talking to Daniel Gawronski candidate for Aurora City Council here on the day on Capitol Show. Um what were they thinking when they did? $20 minimum wage during covid it Well, it's interesting because I brought up an argument. You know that. Of course, um, you know, for for my line of work Mhm. How I am There's no reason to pay. Um, you know, a 16 year old dishwasher. $20 an hour. That is what will put small businesses out of business. So I was attacked. I was attacked. I was called a child sleeve labor. Oh, my goodness. That's what I would call And you did this like at the City Council meeting. Is that where you were talking about this testimony. Well, there's no this was all social media because this whole still everything was doomed. That's true, right tool and everything, you know. So our mayor had posted the link and had said, please public invited to be heard. Please put comments. Please post common so I did, um and and I was attacked, I will say. That one of the people that I was attacked by as a socialist who was on the Inglewood City Council very close. Very good friends with the two Current socialist. Yep, um, on a Laura and he got me so fired up. I did my research on him. I ended up being a part of the reason he resigned. Wow. Congratulations. It's a good victory. Thank you. First of all victory. I'll think her Yeah. Hey, right, absolutely well, and it's these local races. Daniel Lawrence K candidate for Aurora City Council that actually matter in taking back Colorado. If we only look ahead to the even year races, which are of course, also extremely important. It's my job to take care of them as the state chairman. But if we cannot forget about local races anymore, and that's why what you're doing, and so many people like you around the state is essential to keeping our freedoms at a local level..

"And bring in our next guest, Daniel Gawronski. She has been on before she is in Aurora City Council candidates. A mom and also a small business owner stands multiple restaurants and just has some amazing stories. But I wanted to bring her back and have her talk about especially just the importance of local elections here in Colorado, which are coming up before you know it. Daniel Gawronski, Welcome to the Dan Caplis Show. Thank you. Yeah. So good to have you. What have you tell everyone what you've been up to lately? Well lately, I've just been out knocking doors talking to the voters hosting, meet and greets, just, you know, trying to be all over Aurora and talking to voters. Yeah, that's amazing. And, you know, obviously you made this decision that a lot of people don't make to run for local seats. City Council in the city you live in. And as the chairman of the Cord Republican party. We've been trying to encourage people run for these local seats jump in. Can you tell everyone why it matters? Why should they think about these local seats? Whether whether they want to run or they want to support a good person who's running Oh, for that. I would like to turn specifically to a, um, house bill that was just signed into law by Governor Polish something that people don't think about its Senate Bill 21 to 56. Basically what it says, is that Pulis is taking a hands off approach now to our gun rights, and he is turning it over to local municipalities. So your local city councils Will now determine what your gun rights are. And this law states up to damning them. Mm hmm. So if you're in Denver if you're in Boulder And you are a lawful gun owner and you enjoy your gun rights. It's a very scary place for you to be over in Aurora. We're holding on by a thread Christie or holding on by a thread, and that's why I'm in this fight. I refuse to believe that my hometown Is gone and and it's just going to turn over everything to the Socialists. I refuse to believe that it is so important that people start caring about Local elections, getting involved volunteering for candidates and knocking the worst. Absolutely, And this is this is Daniel Gawronski, who were talking to she's in Aurora City Council candidate with US on the Dan Caplis show today. And Daniel, can you I could not agree more with you that these issues are coming home to rest like we have to see that they're not just at the Capitol in Denver. They affect us on a neighborhood level at our jobs with our kids. And I mean, I think particularly one thing I think about when we talk about local gun control that could Really affect people's daily lives like what about all the women who have concealed carry permits? Because they want the ability to defend themselves if they ever needed to. I mean, what do you say to them? Well to them first and foremost, I say I'm one of you and I stand with you. I enjoy my gun, right? I'm a lawful gun owner. You know, I served six years in the military and have have gun training from that. But you know, I have acute field carry permit. And now do I carry my gun? You know, I carry it when I carry. You'll never know I period, but that's the thing I would rather have it and not need it. Did not have it and need it. And Christie this idea this idea that the government is chipping away. At our right and they're doing this methodically doing this methodically little by little as cannot cause too much of a stir, right and for everyone not paying attention, Gun Bill Yeah, that's exactly what's happening. That is why I am trying to make The noise that I am talking to Republicans talking to unaffiliated and to be perfectly honest with you even talking to some Democrats. Oh, yeah, I I firmly believe This is no longer a Republican versus Democrats, you know, walk. We are at war against communism against socialism, Marx, you name it. We are at war, and it is good versus evil. And I believe that good will prevail to those women out there, you know that conceal carry for their safety and their protection. Get involved get involved. I mean, there are moms groups. Anti gun You know that are out there making a lot of noise. One thing I found out the reason that these lunatics Keep winning because they're louder and that I stay no more no more. It's time for us to make noise and to be louder, and we're not saying Look, here's what we say, because we are the true party of choice, Although they think that they are, we are right were saying If you don't want to own a gun, don't own a gun. Oh, sure. If you don't want your time is done. Don't carry a gun. Oh, yeah. But don't you dare tread on me. Yeah, That's what we're saying. You're right. Daniel Gawronski. Aurora City Council candidate 100% with you on that, As I think most women are we want the chance to be able to defend to protect ourselves if we need to, And we certainly don't need Government full of Socialists telling us we can. And I think Danielle what's really important to as we see people right now in Cuba, waving the American flag because they understand that freedom and choice like that is an American ideal. And yet we have people who currently sit on the City Council in Aurora, who really are socialists. You don't even understand that the people you're running against who are Democrats. They don't understand that either. That's why we need people like you. And you know other Republicans who are running in local accounts, City Council races to get elected many people to get out and join them. You can you can you tell everyone where they can find out more about you? Yes. Please go to my website Danielle for Aurora, and that's F o r. Danielle for aurora dot com is my website. You can Sign up to volunteer you can donate you can send me an email. Ask me any questions. Please, Please get involved. Folks. We have got to Wake up and and no more sitting at home. No more sitting on the sideline. There's candidates like myself with the energy with the passion and the willingness to get out there and fight and I will take this on. I will take this head on. I'm simply asking. Get get behind me. Behind me. Yeah, and that's what people need to do is find people exactly like you in their local area. Get behind them if they want to have an influence on what happens in their local area if they don't want Their right to defend themselves taken away and Daniel, I'll tell you this. As I've said here. I get messages while I'm hosting on the capital show, and I do have a message in about you saying, OMG. I love her. So I know your message really resonates with a lot of a lot of Dan's listeners. We're thrilled to have you on today. We're going to we're actually gonna do it again tomorrow. So everyone listening who loves Danielle. She's going to join us in the second hour tomorrow, and I think, Danielle, you sharing your story. I've heard it before. More people need to hear it about why you chose To jump in run for City Council and what led you to lead this charge Defending other people's rights as well. It's essential. I am so happy that we're going to have you back on tomorrow. Danielle Gawronski, Thank you for joining us on the Dan Caplis show. Christy. Thank you so much. Keep up the good fight. You too. "You are back in the day and capital show with Christie Burton Brown, and that song was especially for our next guest. Representative Richard Whole tour if he represents House District. 64 in Colorado, is a third generation rancher in a military veteran as well as the father of I believe four daughters. Welcome representative Holt ORF to the capital show. Thank you very much. Christy. It's a pleasure to be on the air with you. And I actually have five daughters. So wow. Alright, count. That's great. That's great. Well, well, I wanted to bring you on today. Just because there's so much talk around Colorado. You know, I'm traveling the whole state. You live in Washington County and represent a rural area of Colorado and It's really a fact that Jared Poulsen, the Democrats have Have waged a war on there are rural economies here in this state, and I just would love our listeners to hear from you since you live it every single day. Well, thank you. Christy and I represent nine counties in eastern and southeastern Colorado. It's the largest house district. Currently in the House chamber. And rural Colorado is a big footprint and I very much aware and in touch with what happened in what I call the rest of Colorado. Unlike many of my urban legislators. So some of them don't even like it when I say the rural urban divide just growing right, and it's growing by our actions and our intentions, both direct and indirect. If I just Right well, and I think that's something that Irvin, Colorado actually needs to realize is going on. Like I grew up in rural Colorado. And so I think about it a lot, even though I currently live in the city now, But I don't think a lot of our city city dwelling friends. Do you think about it as much as they should. And how would you say representative Richard Holt? Orff's who were talking to you right now? How would you say that? When rural Colorado is hurt by the policies that get passed to the capital in Denver? Why should that matter to the rest of the state? Well, I think our urban cousins need to understand. That agriculture is the life blood of rural Colorado. Everything that is agriculture in our small towns in our communities. All the services the support the primary economy outside of energy. Oil and gas right and other renewable energy sources. It's agriculture. Yeah, everything that we do is tied around agriculture, and what's important for agriculture, of course, is transportation, right? And also Bannon Internet as we analyzed fast moving markets, um and many of the things that we do out in agriculture, so the biggest thing people need to understand As you cannot. Degrade trying to do harm or damage to our agricultural sector. Yeah, and then so diaper people don't understand how diverse agriculture is true from pencil. The cattle. To poultry to watermelons. So many things in your grocery store a milk Pancakes. Buttermilk pancakes, Buckwheat pancakes. I don't care what kind of picked it like, right? So many things. I'm going to guess you have a particular favorite kind of pancakes, But I will move past that. But no, I think represented. Hold your your right that agriculture is one of the industries that built to Colorado and it continues. I mean, you and the people in your community. You're the ones that feed our families and people so easily forget that. That's why I think we need to elevate more rural voices and listen to people like you. A third generation rancher here in Colorado who understands what it means for our state when that is trampled all over by the boulder elites who run run the capital in the government right now. Yes, Christine and the one thing that highlighted the that divide more than ever. This last session was Senate Bill 21 87, this agricultural workers rights bill. It is a big city. Big union model. It just doesn't fit agriculture, Mhm and the sponsor who claimed to know a little about agriculture, But not much. I promise you right and out fuckers. Who were foolish enough to sign onto this bad legislation. Clearly. We're completely clueless. As to the diversity And the differences. Between agriculture and the agricultural industry and urban Big City factory type. Um, right. Exactly. No, I think you're so right. I think there's a lot of people from the cities he for tend to know what the agricultural industry does are the oil and gas industry to which I think many people just don't understand. And they don't realize how integral that is to the Colorado way of life. And if we triple all over the Colorado way of life, which includes farming, ranging oil and gas that is to the devastation of our entire state. Not only communities like the ones you represent I I did want to ask you. We have a couple minutes before we're gonna go to a break, But I want to ask you I know you have a big background in the military. And how do you think what you learned in the military and what you did there and you're overseas tours and all the other things you did. How How does that affect your view of how? As Republicans of the State pyramid? You are state Representative. How we fight this battle that so many Republicans and conservatives want want to see us truly engaging. Well, I will tell you that, Uh, If you want me to leverage a little bit of my military experience, I will tell you that we have to have a very, um in depth. Strategy. To fight that fight that we have at every level. We have to take a message to Urbanite urban cousins to explain to them. Um, the importance of the rest of Colorado. Yeah, And I think, um, we have to have a short term message. That we are trying. There are many eggs stakeholders that are trying Just to spread this message out, But I will tell you, the message gets ignored, and it has to be a multi layered or a very, uh in depth. Way of communicating at many levels. Yeah, so I would start with that. And I will tell you that, even in the capital this last session, the testimonies from farmers and wrecked ranchers. Was very much ignored. Oh, yeah. The Urban League. Continue to be referenced. And so, um, uh, you know, do not to get too in depth with, you know, strategic analysis or intelligence preparation, the battlefield and some of these military models that we use, right? Um, it's about messaging. And then it's the real issue is we have activist organizations. Most all of them come out of Boulder County. Our animal rights. They are vegan, their anti, um, meat, protein or animal protein, right? They are all that anti Additional American Western values. They are anti rural. Yeah. Urbanite, their elitist urbanites who don't understand where their food comes from. And the effort and time it takes it. The grocery stores filled exactly a representative Holt. Or if we are wrapping up this segment, I hope to have you back another time. Thank you so much. Representative Richard Holt ORF on with us today, talking about the war on rural Colorado being waged by the Democrats. When we come back, we'll be with Daniel Gawronski, a local city council.

"Capital of Point gives to Taxi L A point Launches shot wide left a lot of the rebound. Got it out to heaven. It center. Slip it forward to the Columbus Stone. Savar just rattles it back up the middle. Here's Folino across the blind, dangerous here, and he did a little forehand backhand forehand and fumbled it. Hedman was bothering him from behind. It's still very d dress for Philly knows he carried it to the offensive end. Now, Savard has it right point. Slot, Jenner writes to go to a pinching Savard shoots, save made rebound is loose and stamp goes, gets a stick on it. Then they had that good chance. Replayed. Nobody blocked out fully know in front there fronting him, and he had a chance for that. Redirect and ask you made a big safe. When you're watching the clubs to they block everybody out. We've seen that for the first. 3.5 and Lightning haven't done as good a job. Stymied. The unit is that a tough shift stamp goes given a warning, and now Nash is thrown out so each side has been given a warning. It's Gregor Ranko and Stamp goes the left of Vasilevskiy. "They must have got him in the back of the neck. It's he's revving it there. It was deflected on its way down. Purpose salad do not know where the park was. He could even see it hit him right in the back of the neck as he was trying to scream. Thomas from going out into the front of the net, and that's what they do. See, they're letting that shot come from the point. So they're trying to make sure that that man doesn't get to the front of the net. And that's what makes it that difficult team to play against because they do those little things very, very well. Columbus was fifth in the regular season last year and block shots. That is a staple of a Tortorella coach team. Face up will be in the Columbus and the whistle was blown due to the Del Asado. Injury. He looks like he's okay sitting on the bench, shaking it off.
