Biden, Fauci Want You to Live in Fear With Masks
"Dennis prager here and what was the latest that you have to wear a mask indoors? I mean, he's telling you you should hear encouraged to wear a mask indoors. How can we further ruin the quality of people's lives? He was caught there, by the way, and was in Massachusetts. He was vacationing. Nantucket? And he wasn't wearing a mask. The question of whether they believe what they say. Is an interesting question, but only God can answer it. But I've always said that Gavin Newsom citing in the middle of the lockdown and closing of restaurants many of which never recovered. And he's sitting there with his buddies at his $1000 meal. Without a mask on, it doesn't make him a hypocrite. He, of course, he's a hypocrite, but that doesn't mean anything. At bottom they don't believe it. They believe it's good for you, you sucker, who believe Newsom and Fauci. And Biden, you're a sucker if you believe them. And you've decided to be one. That's what's so amazing. That's what so depressing to me. You have decided to believe nonsense. To scare your life and scare your children and deprive your children of friends and deprive your children of play and deprive your children of school. You made those decisions. I have to ask my fellow Americans was this not serious enough for you to read about? A people like me do we want to die? Do we want our families to die? Why do we think differently? I'll tell you why because we know more.

The Most Insane Leftist Responses to the Rittenhouse Verdict
"Excuse me, the daily wire. Collected, they listed. We're going to post this, Mike online dot com. The most insane leftist responses. To the rittenhouse verdict. President Biden, while the verdict in Kenosha will leave many Americans feeling angry and concerned, myself included, we must acknowledge the jury has spoken. What do you mean you're angry and concert? What are you angry about? What you wanted this kid's head on a platter? Is that what it is? Self defense isn't supposed to be self defense? How about Gavin newsham? This nutcase, governor, America today, he said, you can break the law, carry around weapons built for a military. Shoot and kill people and get away with it. That's the message. We've just sent to armed vigilantes across the nation. You see, newsham, these kooks never condemn the rioters or the looters. No, no, no, no. The guy that had a gun in defect was trying to protect a business and was defending himself. He's the bad guy. Not the pedophile trying to kill him. No, no. He's the good guy. How about governor J B pritzker, of Illinois? This classic. He heard about Newsom evidently instead hold my beer. Pritzker said, carrying a loaded gun into a community 20 miles from your home and shooting unarmed citizens is fundamentally wrong. How about the congressional black caucus? Here was their statement. It is unconscionable our justice system would allow an armed vigilante who traveled to Kenosha Wisconsin and killed Joseph rosenbaum Anthony huber and the wounded gauge grows gross Croix to go free. Colin Kaepernick. He said, well, but I can do you better. We just witnessed a system built on white supremacy validate the terroristic acts of a white supremacist. NASCAR driver Bubba Wallace, ha, let the boy be black, he said, and it would have been life. Hell he would have had his life taken before this BS trial. Sad. House judiciary committee chairman Jerry Nadler. These are not insignificant people. This is a very prominent Democrat. He said, quote, this heartbreaking verdict is a miscarriage of justice and sets a dangerous precedent which justifies federal review by the Department of Justice.
California prepares for possible winter pandemic surge
"California is getting ready for what could be a winter pandemics surge governor Gavin Newsom says there are some concerning signs hospitalizations are creeping up in some areas including Los Angeles county it wasn't long ago that California has the nation's lowest Calvin case rape but now it's sixteen says the governor of California has started pre positioning equipment and locking in contracts with temporary health care workers state health officials say as the weather gets colder people will stay inside more and they'll be more holiday mangling at a time when vaccine and natural immunity will begin to wane unless more people get booster shots I'm ready to fall lay
Crowd Surge Kills at Least 8 at Travis Scott's Astroworld Houston Concert
"So for the last couple of months, we have to have these safety focused parents all about vaccinating their children and having them wear masks when they shower. What if I told you that in Harris county, Texas, it was far more dangerous to go to a rap concert this last weekend? Then getting COVID as a young person. That's a statistical fact. Remember, San Francisco is forcing the vaccine for kids 5 to 11, even though none of them died. Now, what parents allow their children to go to these sad excuses for public gatherings called concerts, I just don't understand it. I don't get it. I don't understand parenting in the modern era. But what happened this last weekend, you might not have heard was a Travis Scott concert. Now, I don't know much about Travis Scott. I think he's married to one of the Kardashians. Is that right? Or was or is or they're all like polyamorous, right? Who knows? I can't keep up with that. Nor do I attempt to. That's Alex Clark's job, right? Just since you have a whole show dedicated to that, like the Kardashian marriage tree. He's dating Kylie. Oh, yeah. What a great role model. And so this I'm gonna say this, I'm gonna get blowback from the media, but it's true. What I saw based on all images based on all video and footage was nothing short of demonic, this last weekend, I'm gonna get blown up by the media for saying that. It's just true. You look at what you saw of this guy Travis Scott performing at what's called astral world, he performed for 37 minutes after the event was called a mass casualty event. And if you don't believe me, I want you to look at cut 17, he continues to sing if you could call his former music singing, while someone appears to have a seizure. Play cut 17. So what happened in astral world we're still not sure either it's a mosh pit, someone was stabbing people with needles, right? We don't really know. The essence of it. But crowd control medical procedures, all these things were not followed. And one of the main takeaways should first be is could you imagine if Donald Trump at one of his maga rallies kept on speaking? When people started to get overwhelmed and started get piled on, high schoolers in college students among the dead at the ASTRO world festival, which is a tragedy obviously, but the first question should be, what parent allows their kid to go to a concert like this when you're childs in high school. 8 children are dead or 8 people are now dead. From different high schools and colleges in a local area, one came all the way from Ohio for this concert. Which I just can't understand the draw or the attraction of that. It's like, yeah, let's go to a concert next to a 100,000 people when everyone's doing drugs and you might
Is the Biden Regime Persecuting an Opposition Journalist?
"So James O'Keefe has been very effective. The New York Post has a great story on this. They say the sure looks like Biden's Department of Justice is persecuting and opposition journalist. James O'Keefe is the most effective journalist that we have on the right, whether it be VAERS database information, whether it be exposing critical race theory in our schools or people that are whistleblowing, James O'Keeffe has been a thorn in the side of the regime for quite some time. FBI and Manhattan federal prosecutors are investigating the case of Ashley Biden's diary. The president daughters said it was stolen in a burglary last year an obscure right wing website found a publishing it would at satyr pages are from about ten days before the election. Now, I'm not going to get into the alleged contents of the diary. But there's some pretty creepy stuff in this diary. Let me just say some really weird stuff. According to all public reports, and what's interesting, again, which no one has been able to explain at all is what federal crime in the U.S. code is worthy of FBI agents going after this. So just so you understand the priorities of the Federal Bureau of Investigation. By the way, are we watching for that press conference with Merrick Garland right now? As soon as you hear the DOJ come out, then they say they're gonna do a press conference on a significant political matter. Say, hold on a second. What's going on here? Not so fast, my Friends. That's something that should worry a lot of people. Not the overreach of government. But this is a pattern of tyrants and autocrats, which is to silence political dissidents. It's nothing new. It's the habit of the tyrant to want to suffocate opposing ideas, especially journalists. And James O'Keefe is the most effective among them. James O'Keefe went after governor Murphy and exposed his regime for what he was doing in New Jersey and I think largely tightened the New Jersey governor's race. James O'Keeffe has been relentless, and he has been effective. And because of that, he's at the top list of the Federal Bureau of Investigation executing, a search warrant against
FBI Raids James O'Keefe's Apartment Amid Probe Over Ashley Biden's Stolen Diary
"Was wondering if someone could help with this. A couple of years ago, I was flying from New York to Los Angeles. I remember exactly what seat I was in. It was seat three a now I am, I'm a journalist guy. I'm always taking notes. I have hundreds of journals, some would call them diaries around my house. I love writing things down. I love taking notes. But on this particular flight from New York to Los Angeles, I was really kind of taking notes and doing things and I then fell asleep got distracted. Landed, got off the plane, and an hour or two later I realized that I had forgot my journal on the plane. I ran back and it wasn't in the lost and found. It wasn't where people said it was and I have a high suspicion that my diary and my journal was stolen. So to the FBI, could you guys help me find my diary? Is that a federal crime now? Are you guys now in like the diary locating business? Now, some of you might be saying Charlie, what on earth are you talking about? Well, over this last weekend, we have now learned that there is an expanded scope of federal authority. Where the southern district of New York and I want to be very clear, there are some phenomenal people that are part of the Federal Bureau of Investigation. In the boots not in the suits, but the southern district of New York is its own kind of it's its own country of enforcement. SDNY, that's the one that went after Steve Bannon, dinesh de Souza. It's one that went off to every single one of the conservative allies. Well, breaking last Friday night is that fair to say Friday and Saturday because we didn't really see it. I don't know if we covered it last week. Project veritas run by the wonderful James O'Keeffe had their doors kicked in. For the federal agents that were going after the alleged missing Ashley Biden diary, how is that a federal concern exactly? And so there's a lot surrounding that story, there's a lot within the contents of the diarrhea allegedly. We were told the diary wasn't real. I didn't really cover the story honestly, I forgot about this. There's just been so much crime and corruption around the Biden regime and the other side just isn't covering it at all? But let's play cut 20. Fox report on how the FBI investigation of project veritas and the diary apparently belongs to Joe Biden's son or Ashley Biden. We're not exactly sure. Play cut 20. On Friday, O'Keefe acknowledged project veritas is under investigation by the Justice Department over the apparent theft of a diary reportedly belonging to Ashley Biden. President Biden's daughter. Just days before the 2020 presidential election, pages from the diary were published by a right wing website, which reportedly has ties to O'Keeffe. The site claims, it received the diary from project veritas. O'Keeffe says a copy of the diary was leaked to project veritas by a whistleblower, but they chose not to publish it because they could not verify its

CNN's Van Jones Blames Dog Whistling for Democrats' Disappointing Election Night
"One more time because I use van Jones as a foil Cut 13 go So I think Biden's struggles are bigger than this particular issue And I think that the Democratic Party I mean everybody I'm talking to you tonight This is a big big wake up call I think people took Virginia for granted We took California for granted but then people you know got in there and saved Gavin I think people with an intensity gap you had young and saying you know your rights as a parent are under threat That is going to move people And then you had our signs It was actually mcauliffe first said that the parents really have no role in what's taught and so forth and public schools They're called public schools not union schools They're called public schools not Democrat party schools And so no that's that's not right Young can responded to that and defended the parents And defended quality education against this onslaught That's obviously taking place Go ahead It's bad And vaccine mandates are good There's a mismatch on the intensity for that message And so you know as you begin to think what are we going to do You've got to be able to respond to what I think is dog whistling on education It's dog whistle all the time Is van Jones out in the rural areas Is he out in the suburbs Did he attend any of the school board meetings Does he actually know anything about what's going on He doesn't know a damn thing about what's going on
California Gov. Gavin Newsom Imposes 'Woke' Ideology With Series of Signed Laws
"So when you look at California California says it all Daily mail governor Gavin Newsom has signed several notable bills into law in recent days they include a bill that will see California public schools and colleges stocking the restrooms with free menstrual products Mister bidders I thought there weren't any differences between thee Well in genitalia so why are we having menstrual products That's a biological matter isn't it I thought your genitalia was a psychological matter not a biological matter and there they are They're going to stock they're going to compel California public schools and colleges to stock restrooms with free menstrual products Do men who still have their biological genitalia Do they get free menstrual products too In another bill large department stores must now display products including toys and toothbrushes and general excuse me gender neutral ways While I wait a minute how do we display menstrual products in a gender neutral way Seriously But toys now and toothbrushes must be a general gender neutral way Why See how sick this is How minority the minority control the majority And so common sense and morality are completely out of the window This is the insanity That we're experiencing Does not completely outlaw traditional boys and girls sections at stores but says large stores must also have a gender neutral section to display
Liberals Violate Their Own Norms in the Most 'Elite, Refined and Sophisticated' Manner
"I'm talking to. Victor davis hanson. The new book the dying citizen. How progressive elites tribalism oxford comma and globalization are destroying the idea of america. You're just making a point. And you were about to give us another example of what you were describing. I don't know if you remember. I do we that we have people like nancy pelosi. That violates the corentin. She insists on others to get our hair done. Are we have these. Various mayors who break out or gavin. Newsom has to eat at the french longed remember. They always violate their own norms. In the most elite refined sophisticated manner but even have the marxist shock troops of this revolution that we're fighting phyllis cuellar's fourth house. It's an all white to tahonga. That has raked in zillions with yes with. Blm black lives matter. She cares so much about the poor that she has a fourth house. Isn't that sweet. I want to ask you when you talk about. Why they're doing this in the name of equality and so on and so forth isn't it ultimately irrelevant. Of course it's irrelevant in other words if we the people don't give them permission to do this they must not do it. They have no right to do it. So what they're doing is in contravention of the whole idea of america that we the people choose our leaders to do what we need them to do. They are comfortable with that. So they're looking for a way around it. And they've been finding ways around it and i and i mentioned that in the book that what i just said is what we used to say and scholarship. The pro faucets the pretexts. That's what they say they want a quality and they're really do try to enact it out but it's really about their desire for power. Just like the bolsheviks. Jack

Maskless San Francisco Mayor Caught Breaking Health Order at Local Club
"You realize the democrats are capable of. Electing somebody like london breed. Now i know san francisco is wild. I get it it's a it's a. It's a world unto itself. Most americans can't relate in any way shape perform to the antics of san francisco and maybe a great example of that is the woman who runs the city. The mayor so she held a press conference this week over the firestorm of controversy. She's facing her own city ordinance. Which is one of the strictest ordinances in the country requires masks indoors whether you're vaccinated or not now. You got to hear her explanation. This is classic. This is a typical. This is the gavin newsom. French laundry thing all over again. This is chris. Cuomo caught on tape marching through his apartment building without a mask on confronting bicyclist south in his house in the hamptons when he's the middle of fighting kovin. These guys are such a joke but consider this woman. The mayor of one of america's most famous prominence cities. I give you the mayor of san francisco explaining why she violated her own. Strict mask mandate inside the city. Jazz club incredible musicians who performed and who really uplifted the spirits of not just myself but all of the people who were there and from my perspective you know i was there i was eating and i was drinking and i was sitting with my friends and everyone who came in there was vaccinated so the fact that we have turned this into a story about being massless. No i'm not gonna sit in. Put my mask on sip and put my mask on sip input mask on. Eat input my mask on. Well i'm eating and i'm drinking. I'm gonna keep my mask off and yes in in time. Why we're drinking like everyone else. There we were all having a good time and again all vaccinated so the fact that this is even a story. His sad got better. Where's the pit about feeling the spirit. Oh we got the. We left the best part out. She felt the spirit she wanted to move. She was feeling this get them. I'll play that clip. Maybe for alfredo ortiz. Because we let the best part out. She was feeling the spirit. She's having a good time and she was vaccinated. Never mind that. The city ordinance literally requires vaccinated people to wear a mask indoors. But she's the mayor

"Gifted If you try and do everything you realize you do nothing. Well you know when you start off yes you're gonna wear many thoughts. I was like when you start up in business. You're the marketing guy or the sales guy. You're the guy the you're everything right your dad as well. You're the guy's food on the table. You're you're everything the guy lawns and everything right. But if at some point you're gonna make a decision and i always say the people are let's map today and wendy spend your time and literally like where do you spend your time during the day you can all you can do for the week for example if you go well i spend so much of my day doing this exercise and i do so much day sleeping. Spent so much of my day watching. Tv for example entertainment. So much of my time with my kids doing their homework. And i do you map all those out and you go all right now to make some tweaks because i need to find that extra five dollars a week to work business. How am i going to do. I'm super busy talk Everyone has time. We all have time with spending so people. Look at tab and gavin. i wanna. I wanna puncture some holes in this philosophy. I'm here to challenge you i. I'm dealing with this so this resonates with me deeply and i know there's a lot of people here. All of this is going to be a good show. Ladies and gentlemen this is going to be fantastic. Okay so when you say you want to write things down. I have this duality inside me. Where there's the side of me that wants to be. Oh army greg. Like all those core values. I'm ready to go work out. I'm ready to read journal. And and get in the saana and just do something that i can feel. That is better me in the moment. And then there's other person that wants to just do absolutely nothing or be strictly on the job. Nothing but seen results. I want fucking results. Whether it's creating a graphic the metadata and when i do i write out this whole plan and i'm like okay so i know what i need to do yet. I get the satisfaction the urge from doing the things on the computer making these graphics setting up my audio booking appointments recording editing. And it's it's scary. It's very scary. I know are the people are feeling it. I'm getting more satisfaction out of creating graphics editing than going to the gym and doing something productive spending time with my family and the that scares me there. Because i mean i feel like i'm the creator like there's nothing more satisfying the me than making an impact in someone's life. Why see that happen. That transition that transformation. I should say that. It's it's something i gained from the army. I love and.

"So that gives me one additional question to our closing questions that me thinking. How can i monetize when i look you. Just described is my life. Like i feel like i'm doing all this work grinding. It out and i'm not making any money. I gotta make buddy. I got a baby. What can i do to monetize my own. Contact turn this into an information product and sell it to the world. Which can i do. We're tapping into surpassing expectations from the most successful people. In the modern day and honing in on new foresight methodologies and clairvoyance view never knew. This is your transformation station with your host. Greg gavin. secure a you are in author podcast or speaker mentor. Use your skills to educate every day people on a practical steps to turn their vision into reality. What does that tell me about that. Yeah so look really happened organically. I didn't wake up one day. And i was a mentor or an author. Podcast to these are. These are things that kind of developed time. So you know originally. I was to say a colbert guy. Would in a large company straight out of universiade college degrees and I just feel into a forward roll from successful as i might have thought i was. I was just a tiny tiny tiny piece in this big monolithic elephant and one day. I just woke up. Who am i what am i doing. I really kind of feel to be insignificant in. It's it's a weird feeling to have because you know in my twenties. I was working. I thought that's it up. I've got a great job by a car. A house such a successful right and as got into my hickey aged thirty as like discovery. More to life than this is what am i doing. I don't want to be doing this for the next ten or twenty or thirty years. I i just i lost In passionate would you know. Hate going into When i got into work out. I couldn't concentrate still a good performance but i wasn't passionate about my job anymore and kind of lost interest. That was looking elsewhere. I would start to read books. I was doing whistle development so grabbing. This sounds like a midlife crisis..
Forcing Small Kids To Wear Masks Isn't Science, It's Child Abuse
"As a nation how far we've fallen. Where tens of millions of people if not 100 million, plus think that torturing our kids and abusing them by putting masks on their face. They can provide no actual evidence whatsoever. Have stopped this spread. None provide some anecdotal stories, little pockets of evidence that it may have stopped an infection from someone actively spewing droplets. You can provide no evidence disease or systemically effective at all. And yet, in the interest of taking it to conservatives and insulting Donald Trump supporters, you abuse your own kids. But it's it's stunning. It's really tough to see how far I watched it, and I'm sitting there and it's like day in the gym, which is even worse. And I'm watching this. I'm like this can't possibly be happening. We have people abusing their own kids. In childcare facilities. This is child abuse. Child abuse. We have people abusing kids. In order to make a political point. And you may say, Oh, they're not abusing kids in there doing it for their safety. Really? Because the people mandating this are doing it for their safety. Andrew Cuomo, No Mass. Remember that picture. Gavin Newsom. French laundry? No mask. London Breed Mayor of San Francisco. We got her coming up next. No mask. Emmy Awards last night. No mask. Uh, Hollywood people, no mask. Yeah. You can't have it both ways. Even the mass stop the spread, and everybody should be wearing them or they don't you think there are force and we should just be abusing kids with them?
NIH Director Dr. Francis Collins Will Be 'Surprised' if Booster Shots Aren't Expanded
"Dr francis collins was on with chris wallace yesterday on fox news. Sunday had a pretty interesting thing to say about authoritative statements. Now i immediately thought of people. Like cuomo gretchen. Whitmer gavin newsom. Because there's just no question that the tyrannical impulses have been realized by a lot of major democrats. Listen what francis collins from the nih said to chris about well his view of authoritative statements. We'll have to see what they say ultimately about the youngest individuals because of concerns about benefits and risks. But i will be surprised. Boosters are not recommended for people under sixty five going forward in the next few weeks. But we'll wait and see you know chris. What you're seeing here is science playing out in a very transparent way. This is the way it ought to be a little trouble. That people are complaining that the process isn't working for them. The process is to look at the data. Have the experts considerate and then make their best judgment. At that point recognizing the judgments may chain if people want an absolutely authoritative statement about. Here's the right answer. Well that's not. What our country is all about moved to china. You'll get it there now. That could be interpreted in a variety of ways. Perhaps he's simply saying we're sort of making this up as we go. We admitted we're not going to give authoritative savings. that's how i read it.

"Okay what's next are you What what's next are you I assume you're continuing paint and continuing to explore. I have been writing a very long manuscript. Which is about paris and the liuw and painting alka. why possible. What i'll do is something connected with that. And the interesting about painting for me is that it's Light writing. it's very quiet. Thing every similar writing painting a very very It's it's a world away from springsteen but you know maybe it isn't. Okay when you go in the louvre you walk around you see all these people on in the paintings who you think. Oh i remember that person from eighty one ninety three strings sink actors and painters poultry to particular old out characters. So that's the gap k. If so let's go J armstrong is an honors english teacher. He has recently retired And he would. Every year his honors english class would take thunder road and break it apart as if it was a point Going through the imagery the The the the words that bruce uses often composed a compare it to robert frost. The road not taken and at the end of the two days he asked his class. Does mary get in the car. So gavin that is your question. Does american get in the car at the thunder road. I'm gonna just i. I used to teach the frost pun again. Because i've seen it used at some accounts roach. It's very posting because when you look at the poem again it's a very negative thing bright and so i would turn the students from seeing it one way or the other and thunder road. I hadn't thought about the question till you asked it. And i had always assumed especially when i was young that in a town full of losers pulling out of here to win that's Of course you would get in the call. But i looked lyrics again like vision alone again. Don't run back inside the doors open but the right ain't free climbing back since climbing back and then ladies says climbing the front that is curious about ghosts and haunting a haunting and skeleton. And when you get to the porch. They're gone samari. Climb in and so. This is what i wrote about this visit. The joyce carload story called. Where are you going. Where have you been which is inspired by bob. Dylan's it's all over now baby blue. Which is a spooky thing and this. This young girl is is introduced to get into the car of someone called arnold friend and it's not a good idea and so i had that in mind and it could be read as though the ghost story and i was thinking when my daughter's wouldn't get in that car when i was young. I was the driver pulling out to win. But then there's a lot of pressure sales. He sets a time limit on it. He says it's your last chance and so on balance. I would say that she doesn't get into call. Maybe now she regrets it but probably not..

"The one i would. I've also has struck me properly since writing. The book is how many of his songs are a ghost stories. Um county fair is a kind of ghost story. it's time And so one of the things. I talk about in the book you might compare with emily. Dickenson doesn't have a competitive them the dickinson poem which is cool. Because i could not stop for death. He kindly stopped me. She needs time. So you get shiva because you think oh it was a moment is gone. And springsteen in county fair. He's talking about this. You're and then time so to collapses and you realize that it was on top gun and the two song train song. Think there's nobody gonna raw turn up there you know. This person is waiting for isn't really. There is a ghost go song. Hello everyone and welcome to a new episode. Set than bruce your podcast. All about bruce springsteen his music mostly as fans. "If fertility issue like everything you guys talk about him, Lake. That, has been you, so it's been really cool to like here events about that, because not a lot of men go down that road so. Thank you I appreciate the feedback. I appreciate you listening, and that's why we wanted to start this podcast I. In my life am guilty of not opening up, not talking about emotions stuffing everything. Internalizing everything probably most men can kind of relate to that, and I wanted to step into this space and the other guys as well because it's. It's practice for me. This is my personal development is practice for me I'm I'm exercising a muscle to open up to be more vulnerable to share my heart. And thankfully off or the other guys have met me there. And, so we try to have conversations at real we try to have. Authentic deep raw genuine. Let's dive into what men. Don't talk about many talk about things. The game the truck politics. They talk about things they don't talk about what's going on in our hearts. What's going on in our lives? I'm to on so. Get Him to listen to this show. Get Him we get him on. Maybe we should get him on. That would be amazing. I can't imagine what he's like. You ever want challenge of someone who like he's German. He just turned fifty. This year says a little bit older is like. I mean awesome guy obviously married trump link. You WanNA challenge. Trying picks him bevy. We could avalon. I just thank you so much for listening, thank you when when people reach out to us and say they listen to the show, or they removed or impacted by simply we did on the show, and and also just thank you so much for hockey. "You know so You know it wasn't like you wouldn't WanNa live in my house that I was building for you but I'll show up to work you know and do the job. In at that time I was like oh get I gotTa Get. Outta here me and my brother who were like. I played one GIG in New York City in nineteen ninety seven September. He Goes September twenty seventh on ninety seven and then we were at the bar of the place called the bidder rent which is the first place. Forgive Me Gig was run by Kenny. Gorka lovely guy on been there been there. Yeah places an institution. Everybody's play there every body right so My brother me sitting at the bar and he said we gotta live here I know you're right. He said when do you want? Let's pick a date will be here by that date? What date I said. I don't know six months six months from right now. He said what's Today Sarma March fourth united. Ninety eight we moved into hell's kitchen and Had sold my truck ahead a little money from working at the lumber yard and I had already turned down a record deal and so I had to begin this bomas offer from a major label. You know the guy was like wow. Would you turn this down? What do you got going up? I said not a lot. I work at a lumber yard. You know upstate I make Dick. He said I walk in your building. It's really nice as seen the statue. You know such and such won't say because I want to get up and All this beautiful building a location and I know that if I sign this deal on this building. That doesn't make me anything. I'm just property here. He no I said but even I just work at the lumber yard I have complete freedom and your deal. It's not a good deal and that tells me you just think I'm not good enough so that's more my problem. You know I said I think you deal with reflect what you think of me a you know. Think much of me so that tells me just not good enough yet and I need to go work at all and so I wasn't upset at them. I just knew that wasn't good enough yet. 'cause if you're good enough if it was the right time or if you remarkable whatever it was it was really on me you know. I didn't want to blame them. A lot of people like the blame somebody else and you know what I say when they blame somebody else. That's bull it is on you. You understand me So if the offer is bad you're bad you are worse. What they're offering by the way K. Because if they really really need you the numbers GonNa come up. If you're doing a great great great great job. Your value is higher so for me. I knew I wasn't doing a great enough job because if I was they would've thought my value is higher so I knew I still sucked and I need to work on it and it took me years longer and I'm happy that it took me longer. I'm happy that they knew I sucked because had I gotten signed then what if accidentally I would had hit and still sucked now. You suck in your famous. Yeah and you're famous for sucking. I understand what I'm saying. That's my life. I know I'm Sir. That's worse I believe anybody can get famous. Matters is what you get famous for. Hopefully it's for being good at your craft you know and so whatever that thing is i. I thought it was important that that they're deal. Told me that I sucked. Yeah 'cause you know why because I did suck and the deal got better when I didn't suck as bad anymore. You know what I mean and then I hope you renegotiated it and got a little bit. I was somebody else but but I did. And and that was more but that deal was an indication of hey don't suck as bad anymore. Yeah you know what I mean like and That that that to me was the lesson you worse what they're offering you know what I'm saying. You're not you're not. You're worth it. You're offering your worth what they're willing to pay you. Yeah because when you start negotiating if that price doesn't come up it's ACAS. They won't pay me. It's you're not worth that much to them. Yeah that's all there is to it and for me. I wasn't good enough to be worth any more than that. Yeah it to me I that I had to take that upon myself to say my song. My songs aren't enough. You know what I mean. I need a home my craft. I need I need to get better at this craft at this at this skill. I'm not taking this seriously enough. You know because if I was their math would reflect that that I've put in the time for this you know and For me it was a lesson. I wasn't mad at them for for a bad offer. I thought the offer was perfectly I thought that offer was the perfect lesson to be totally honest with you earlier. You're talking about a question that you were asked and it meant something to you normally do a like a rapid fire thing at the end of the show. But I don't WanNa do that. Actually I WANNA come into it with your own. I do nothing rapidly as you can say. No but I also limit Charles Dickens novel all the words all of them yeah I get paid for syllable beautiful. I will say this. Actually the key. I was noticing this because my fiance's from New York and it's very fun. Like New Yorkers are very interesting to me year New York when you want to be New York when you have to be when you're talking about being tough and like going through Shit Your New York and then when you're like this sentimental then all of a sudden you're like non like that's right. There's there's no dialect anymore and I and I find interesting when you WANNA be tough. It's a it's not even yeses dialect but it's it's almost like a state of mind that you get into of like okay. I need to get back to where from I'm from and I gotTa talk like it. It's very interesting if you go back and listen this episode. There are moments when you're talking about your childhood and times were tough and I notice it because I'm a radio guy with the way that you change your voice but you're also performing and that's what you do normally but it's very interesting when you want to be Who you are It bleeds out of you. You know and I love that about you early. You said something you ask the question. If you could change anything about your life would change is. Was that the question that you pose was that your dad asked that I asked my father the. Us Your father that I said. What would it be crazy? My level would be. You're an adult now. How do you answer that rented instead of bought? Aw Gavin everybody on the well everyone listen to. That really really took it home. How many think on wherever you get your podcast? "Bloomberg. Twenty twenty all right welcome back to the wells cast. They're excited about today's. We have gathered gras on the show. You speak now. It's up. Well how are you buddy? Thanks for letting me Chit Chat with. You can talk now you see. Yeah how many kids do you think that you have created not with your own Weiner? But through the Majesty of Song. Not as much as alcohol has done well but hold on alcohol probably is multiplied the earth much more than any given to grow song ever could but I also feel like alcohol and Gavin Gras coming together is a beautiful thing and it's made a lot of terrible kits for his off looking yes. I'm pretty aggravated teachers out there. Probably FROM THAT COMBO. Yeah vicious you did it thank you you made it. I wrote I wrote it for that. Yeah that exact intention wrote what Music chain dead people would procreate and perhaps raise little little hell demons hopefully not healthy. I want to get in your backstory but like yeah. Are you ever write songs? And you're like people are going to definitely have sex to this. You know what's so weird typically that so far removed from my thought. I found that by writing songs. That were Sultry and an emotional and I wouldn't call them necessarily spiritual but but certainly some element of of spirituality that it creates a different sort of listening experience. Yeah I think for people depending upon the songs that you hear that aren't necessarily about A person but there are about feeling yeah and I think sometimes when you when you write music or play music that is about feeling and sensation Can it can create maybe more of that. That mood Without necessarily being really hitting that nail on the head of the Saugus sexy song in order I think songs are sexier when they're when they're not necessarily being so directly about sexuality. I think songs that are about Homo. Emotional connection and In a little bit more Lofty ideas and thoughts are really just so much more sort of accidentally Sexy and sultry and I think those are the songs that are the biggest turn on as a as a listener at least at least for me yeah So some of the music I think was interpreted as being sexy when I when I didn't write it as anything sexy at to be totally honest with you. I think I find funny because like there are different types of art right like if you make a movie about die hard. Then it's about diehard about you know a guy trying to save a building or whatever depending upon the architect he must save a building. You got to save the building. I M Pei gotta say that one but for but for like musicians. It's so personal with the listener because you can write a song that could be about one thing and then a listener can hear it and it could be completely different for them a hundred percent. I remember so I come from a radio background and I was interviewing ban called J. Who has a song called Matilda? Which is my grandmother's name. So I went to him now. It's like Oh my God. Do you guys wrote a song called Matilda I. That's my grandmother's name. I plead that my grandmother's funeral. It means so much to me and they were like. Oh Yeah. That's about the movie the professional which is about like a a hit man. You know that movie. It's a great movie but it has nothing to do with like performance in that movie is amazed diverted but also like has nothing to do with like how wonderful my grandmother is sure. But that's the problem that you run into right like you can be writing things that mean one thing to you and then you have people come up to you and your lying all my God. That thing meant so much to be in New Orleans. That's not even close talking about one hundred percent. Yeah but I also think that that's perfectly accurate but at the same time I think sometimes Actually often I'll write songs that are designed to be interpreted many ways You write it intentionally. Be Safe to be interpreted at least two ways or I'm sorry but we're trying to do is cut. Oh my God you're GonNa be okay. Just just get it out. I love the opportunity to correct user. Change She's crying a little bit listening to some of his. Is that why you're crying? She was like this is such bullshit it makes you sneeze Are you good now or do you need some time to open a window? Would you like ship of water? You want some bud light. Do you want some of Chris? Hairston Seagram escaped tropical Rosa available at all hardware stores. Nationwide every ace hardware. It'd be funny. If he designed to drink you're like this is going global. The only place sound hardware. He's GonNa be drinking out of. Ace Matt the Seltzer depots. Got that good. Should be good. If you don't mind go pick me up. A two by four and some some delicious Seltzer. Adhesive Drywall celts. The fact that I got Gavin. Did this tickled makes me feel really funny. We'll get back to hardware stores. I've forgot but it was very important. Yeah we were talking about how people perceive songs differently than yes. Okay so Tau Artworks COMP- completely. So so yes they do. They they really do. And but here's the thing when you writing the song you're hoping that at least I am. I'm hoping that people will have very personal connection with the song. Somehow there's different ways to go about writing songs right. You can write songs hoping that they'll hear your story Can write songs hoping to speak for their story and and you can also write songs that are so specifically your story that you don't care if they share your story with you you can do that. Approach like you're writing song. You may write a song thinking. Oh this is something. I'm sure they can relate to. Yeah about me for writing on that you think they can relate to about themselves or you're reading some of it so you that they just want a window into your story to know more about your life. Yeah Right. That's like that's like the Woody Allen Approach Right. You're right so specifically your local vibe. That people are like. Wow what's that's what it's like to be a New Yorker in that neighborhood. You know what I mean. It's still woody Allen you know yeah so so I write from different from different angles but depending on the song writing very specifically use. Sometimes you're writing something a little more the`real sometimes you're writing hoping that you're representing them because maybe you've got a few friends who are going through something that similar like you know. You got to three buddies going through something similar at the time to each other. You know what I got her. I saw about this guy like two three people in my life going through this kind of you know I should write something about that but then of course some real come up to you and say okay. I heard that song. Whatever that saw may be and One day I wrote the song about this this woman and came to me and they said to me. Wow your song. Insert the name here. The way you're talking to God and my Denna fine with that relationship with God and it's so intimate I too have felt that way and I I said to them said you know I'm really happy. You're telling me that because I up until now that song was only between me and someone but you make me feel like messages much bigger than I had even thought thought of I couldn't i. I wasn't thinking that big at that time. Yeah but from that point on the song took on a larger meaning to me Ironically and it was the first time and the only time our song interpreted in a way that made the song more meaningful to me than when I had written it for myself. Yes so that that thing re identified itself to you. What percent do you have a fan thinking bigger about the song than I had? Yeah you know what I mean. There's a bigger picture and heavy. I played how that's how parents feel about you a lot like they think so much bigger of you than you do. And then they'll talk to you and you'd be like Oh. Yeah that's you're right. That's what I was thinking I guess my next question is of the three modes of transportation in terms of songwriting. Do you have a favorite Writing a song for a thing that you're seeing outside of Your friend group. Whatever a thing that's happening to you personally or a message that you wanted to portray or of those three of those three things that you kind of mentioned. Do you have a preferred method of writing for me? I like to write about. I try to find something that allows me to really identify myself. And then the tune First Person Yeah and then Be Very specific and highly ambiguous at the same time so that they can interpret it or misinterpreted. Yeah for their own life Specific in general. It's very peculiar way to go back. I guess it'd be a hard tight rope to walk too tough one. You know I don't want to just every time. Just tell a story. Yeah Tom Walk to the store. The store was closed so then he went to the park. That's where he met a lady name. I don't really do that. Type OF SAMBRE ACE hardware. And that's where he the Seltzer exactly so anyway. I like to blend a lot of things because I grew up in a very religious household I like to to allude to something that isn't necessarily just me and her but rather something me and and this like God thing. Yeah you know but that doesn't have to be interpreted as a god thing could be relationship with with a human or with something bigger than us as a species you know. Yeah and and and Oftentimes like to leave out the love interest element of things. I just try to create a relationship. Element OF THINKS. See rather than just being interpersonal. It can be you know looking for something that's grander Than just you on your own. So could be. It's not necessarily religious Shirley just personal. It could be one of those things. It's just something that's about about a meaning of having a relationship something that means a lot to you and that could be interpreted as a woman your love with a partner or something bigger than us as human race and so it may sound silly. I think but Some songs I take that I take that approach also. I like to read a lot of identity song because I like to write songs at Point out failure or Point out where I lack but also point out that there's there are other things out there or someone else out there that makes up for where I you know m Where I fall short. Yeah and and I think that we all fall short somewhere and songwriter. I don't think it's necessary to just paint yourself out to be triumphant about every element of your life simply disingenuous. So a lot of people can identify with the reality of needing help or needing someone else or or at least appreciating help from someone else or interest from someone else who wants to be in your life to take you to another level in your life and your whether it be in your love. Life for your spirituality or or or or you level of success or failure or at least looking past your failures to find the part of you that they think is special. That doesn't matter if you're if you're doing well or not they. They're proud of you for even make the attempt so. I do not take a lot of different approaches with with songwriting. I think it's important to explore a lot of those this parts of of yourself as a as a songwriter and also to expose your vulnerabilities as rider Yet at the same time to not be afraid of your alter egos as a songwriter Because we all have alter egos and so I'll also point out that as a songwriter when you're also the artist and the songwriter. Oftentimes you're held accountable for whatever the material is that you're writing or whatever materials that you're playing so if I wrote a song about an alter ego right Sometimes you worried as the writer of the artist to be held accountable for the material. If it doesn't suit the other material that they'd heard I right so for example if I write a song about my humility or my weakness on earlier record and then two or three records later I read a song about. My confidence may say will elected better when you're humble but you're saying you're still humble you just expressing a moment of confidence in this other tune just to celebrate things being good for you Your life going well and so you know. For example. I wrote a song called leading man you know. I wanted to write a song that made people feel like you know like the head swagger in a and you know as open line was like a walking like a fistful about a rockets..

"Gavin Newsom, the the new governor of California. Shortly after he took office. One of his first orders of business will be to convert to a single payer healthcare system, and he has declared his intent to reinstate the ObamaCare individual mandate state level. Now, it's been declared unconstitutional. The individual mandate is illegal. It's against the law. It's unconstitutional. It's been so decided so here comes a new governor, California. We're gonna reinstitute the individual mandate in California, California is not a respite in other words. From illegal or unconstitutional federal laws, even though laws have been deemed illegal or unconstitutional in the country. Not in California. So. Dated healthcare for everybody. Mandated that people who could afford it buy it. And that's going to be a decreasing number of people little audio sound bite. Let me start here. At number two. The drive bys have a new tack. The drive by media a new approach here. Now, ladies and gentlemen, rather than Trump listening to me which has been there foolhardy stories since before Christmas. Just to refresh your memory in case you've been away and don't know the history of this very briefly, Trump was all set to sign a continuing resolution keep the government open with no money for a wall. No money for border security. That was the news. On this program. I heard about this. I said this is a bad thing to do. This is this is this is this. I can't believe. No, no, no, don't do this. And immediately. I got an instant message from somebody in the White House. Assuring me the story wasn't true. The president wasn't going to sign it. And he was never going to sign any legislation that does not have money from a wall in it. And this I reported to you. I said I just received a note. From a third party from the president assuring me that he's not gonna sign it drive bys took that and totally reworked it and made it look like Trump was already signing it he'd maybe even already had written the d. Of his signature. And then somebody rushed in and said, Mr President, Mr beds are resonable says no don't do it and Trump stopped. That's the story. They ran with. That's not at all. What happened? He was never gonna sign it. I was reporting that he was going to sign it. He got word to me that the reporting was wrong and the drive bys then start saying that I am the cause of the government shutdown because I am the real president because Trump is too big a dodo to know what to do without me telling you. I corrected them. The next day. I said you guys are getting this totally wrong. They're doing it on purpose. It was a way of diminishing Trump. And getting people mad at me. Well, apparently, it didn't go the way they intended. Because now there's a new tack. They've decided on a new narrative, and that is that I tricked Trump. That Trump's voters don't really care about the wall. And he's being lied to by people like.
