Interview With Kelly Keller

"In today's guest is former. Alpa employees kelly. Keller kelly under private pilot's license. When she was just twenty years old she comes from a family of aviation and she calls herself a spoiled brat of aviation which seems a little harsh until you realize. She grew up flying where their father and a stagger wing. For most of her youth she learned to fly in tabora so at age nineteen got a private licence at twenty and she's been flying ever since she's worked for textron. Ao pa and now. She's currently the regional sales manager for the southeast for garment kelly. Thanks so much for joining us on the there. I was podcast so kelly. You have quite a hair raising story about flying your family back. In one. seventy two from gaskins white river resort on the way back to hicks airfield. You're flying. you're flying clubs one seventy two and experienced an engine failure. Yeah it was. It was definitely kind of the perfect storm of of situations because it was supposed to be a husband and my baby moon so to speak at seven months pregnant with our first child and had him in the airplane Labrador retriever in the backseats. Obviously mailo co-pilot with me. Yeah we were going to gaskins. White river resort for one last hurrah. It was a great trip really recommend going but on the way back i was over. Really ozark ozark mountains without many airports nearby and smoke in the cockpit. That was my first indication that there is something wrong. Obviously and i could tell. It was kind of an oily smell. But at that point it's just troubleshooting and making sure that i couldn't see that there is anything obvious. Obviously on fire or anything fatso. It's daytime is weather in issued is cleared a million Daytime midday without eleven noon timeframe. Okay in a about what time of years this this is november. So this is november last year. Okay great and about what altitude were you cruising it. So at that time. I was about to say it was about thirty five hundred feet. I wasn't up super high africa. Main reasons i was on fire away. I did not file a flight land as you know probably very few listeners would have this problem but when sediments fragment you probably need to stop somewhere young so we were we were kind of kind of just on an the our flight plan all away and having a good time and Joying enjoying barklay gut. It's the you had about a three hour flight or so home beautiful day. You just had a fabulous vacation with your husband. And you just kinda sauntering back really you know you're going to stop somewhere and you're up at three thousand feet which looks like maybe it's roughly a thousand feet ag l. or sos based on the terrain up there in that part of the country. And just flying back enjoying yourself until all the sudden you kind of start to smell a little bit of something in. Did you say you saw some smoke. Pretty much immediately fell the cockpit and you know when when that happens you always think through what that might look like in in just in our training figure out what your action plan is but until that happens to you. It's really startling. So the first thing i did was has started troubleshooting. Okay is it. Electrical is clearly a fire knows. I opened up the windows just to try to get some mayor his. Obviously i'm very cognizant of of what i'm reading that i'm you open. Open up the windows. He'll the cabin heat. Which is a crucial component. When it came down to it once they killed the cabin he smoke stopped so it was like okay you know. It's it smelled oil. A tell it was something like that and at that point dover might well pressure gauge and it was at zero at that point mike. My husband's a mechanical engineer. He's used overcrowded in a drone engines. Actually so he's very aware of of what that means is well. Luckily i was already talking to air traffic control since i was on the afar calling for that that type of a trip so immediately off with them and get them to try to at least for me to the closest

"From the army. What was your most challenging decision in a combat situation or end in a non-combat situation We were dealing with how the blackwater situation had occurred in out who was to separate those combattants from the population so we didn't have on in into the successor in into the lose. You didn't want contract retaliation on you drew with essex accurate in you. You know we have. We had some cultural things that we had to deal with a matter of fact however a good friends with stan mcchrystal later were flying was that he had special forces and his guys did a hit inside area just outside the town of here and one of the shakes who was a good guy was the was killed in that operation. In weeded matt miller they would come in a while to get you know the folks because of the death of the shea will ready to turn on and marines and sailors and soldiers were living out Long these in so they were. What the shakes then is that they knew that we have concerned about folks who live among them. Yeah and agreement that we had with the homeless that they would they would let us know so that we could preclude than slack the intel community discovering that they had a high ranking guy living living among them and came to get it he just happened to be at the compound shea awhile but a what was not known. "All right, Kay away Fantasy football. Our hit us up real 3713 85 85. 456690 For most of you. This is championship weekend. There's some people that were playing. It leads that go into week. 17. But most of you, this is it. This is that opportunity, And if you're playing right now, whether it's for first place, or maybe you're in the consolation bracket, playing for third place because, you know oftentimes there's money in that, too, so we can help if we're available to you. Our guy, Jeff Johnson been hit this up all day yesterday. A lot of people have been playing playing. Of course over the weekend. You're in four games. So you might even be in a massive hole. Like because of album Camaro. Are Jeff Wilson or gosh last night, Myles Gaskin Nelson haggle or had a big night last night s so you might be in a little bit of a hole as result of some of the dark throws that were out there, but We're here to help We like Tonto obviously roll through. What's gonna happen today on the slate will talk about our favorite DFS plays as well because there's obviously some opportunity there. So good. It is up three or 373, 85 85 56690 or at all Bright NFL at our inventory of the station at K Away Colorado. So been if you're in a hole because of some of those plays like Jeff Wilson. And now the Camaro and Myles Gaskin. Heck, you might have faced all three like you had a Jabberwocky. You what? This point it's gonna be tough. Do you tend to side with? Okay, Well, now you need to get a little bit creative and and start putting out some dark throes of your own, Or do you sort of stay the course and try to do the best you can with the guys that got you there like it's a combination of things. I think you look at what you've got. You look at their projected totals. And you know, if you if you don't think and slow the study is going to be able to catch up and make up that deficit, then maybe you do. Take a few more home run cuts and try for that Long bowl boom bust type place. Some tough ones out there because there's a lot of really great values for his defense. There's a lot of really great value out there like for example, this week in a championship game I'm playing in and four. I definitely wanna win because it's pretty big money. Had to decide between Myles Gaskin, Jeff Wilson, Antonio Gibson, Lady in Belle Tony Pollard, Like I had all all of these kind of pseudo back up, you know, third string running back there all thrust into a bigger role. I don't have any studs. All I have is these guys. And so I had to. You know, it's a mix and match and you don't want to be on the other side of that. Missing out and missing out on opportunities. Tonto, you know, basically win, so I had to make some tough decisions in that league. I ended up benching Jeff Wilson, which I'm a little disappointed because I already had. Somebody had dropped. Um, I have to kind of go back through this thing. But, you know, I had to. I had to kind of have to make some tough decisions out there as far as you know, Starting, so I ended up not doing that. But I would Myles Gaskin, So I ended up doing okay. He didn't go, Wilson. I'm not in that league. I ended up not going in that league, because, um Because I had already started. George Kittel and I was like they have to 40 Niners. What if it's a bad game and all of a sudden I'm I talked myself out over thought I did over thinking I don't think it and so now I'm kind of forced to start Antonio Gibson, which I think is gonna be okay. He's gonna probably get at least 12 touches today. So if he gets a goal line, which you got a lot of the goal line this year All I get one touchdown, and I feel pretty good about it. But some of those are tough decisions to make and those those cases so we'll obviously be here for you. If you want to chat about that we get to our DFS picks here and just little bit. The news this morning was about Vic Fangio, the Broncos through Adam Schefter basically putting it out there that the coach will be returning, and I love timing on these things, because I think so. People thought, Okay, these last two games for the Broncos. There's the possibility that if they lose these two games, maybe that might be a changing of the guard At coach. You see all sorts of changes sweeping changes. I kind of like that. They made that very clear now, even though if you've been listening Broncos country tonight we've been telling you for a long time. I like they made it clear now, because look, they could lose the charges they could lose to the Raiders. And at that point you don't want The entire structure of the organization. To start to crumble is a result of people not knowing where things are going right and you need a clear vision of where your head right in an effort to be your your maximum effective self, and that's something the Broncos understand they recognize. I notice that there's some fans. They're disappointed because they look at the result instead of the process, But if you look at the process so far, Vic Fangio has improved this team from what he inherited. He inherited a gutted roster from vast Joseph. And is built them into a team that is competitive in most games. Now they got blown out against the bills, and we're all we all paid that. But in the end, you go back and you look at how short handed this team is a tous point. The fact that vics keep them competitive in the first half was competitive. The fact that is keeping him competitive, I think is a testament to his ability to coach and you know they get a full off season. The offense matures and grows up a little bit, because it's the youngest in the league and you get all those players back off. Off a gery. You could have a heck of a team next year, and I think that's the gets the thing. I think that their victim and John's contract running lock step all these things that kind of conspired in the year of covert. I think they want to run it back. Give it a fair shake, and I think that's a smart thing to do. I understand fans disappointment, but I disagree with that. I think it's the smart thing to do and I honestly I'll take it even further. I think you should not be so much disappointed as Looking forward to continuity on this team. Now you look at the teams that everyone everybody talked about the Buffalo bills last week and just how how There was an expectation that we're gonna win that game, but more than anything That they built through their coaching staff. Their quarterback threw their GM. They built a understand a direction and if you re settle that people that are wanting this team to win now. If you re set all those things, and then all of a sudden you're basically saying you. You're okay with losing next year. You're okay, losing maybe for a couple of years because sometimes it takes that when you reset organizational direction, as in with coaching staff or even with GM..

"Throws right side that's caught by Gaskin, who avoids a tackle cuts back right across the 50 yard line. After the sideline 45 40 turns the corner 30 down to the 2015 10 5 touchdown, Miami Myles Gaskin goes 59 yards and the Dolphins have tied it up with 2 55 to go. What a play by Gaskin They moved Gaskins outside, So he was the furthest receiver outside. Once the linebacker goes out there with them. They know they're in man, and all they run was a little smashed right? Which means you go up five yards. You come back inside, but the missed tackle by MacMillan That's allows gas and get back outside and run for the touchdown tray. Von Bohlen was trying to run him down and couldn't do it. And now the Dolphins have a chance for their first lead of the game. With 2 55 to go. Jason Sanders is on for the extra point. Here's the snap. The ball is down. Sanders kick is good to 55 to go in Las Vegas and the Dolphins have taken a 23 22 lead over the Raiders. Even if you're the Raiders, who you really feel that outside of the last two drives. You dominated this game, but you're losing by one point. Deflating. We missed tackles coming back to bite the Raiders again coming into tonight. They had missed the second most tackles in the NFL. They've been really good. We talked about it early. Even when they had missed tackles. There has been A convoy of black jerseys there to clean up, but that time McMillan missed the tackle. Gaskin came out to the sideline and he turned the corner and was gone 59 yards for the touchdown. And Miami on top by a point now for the Raiders, plenty of time to 55 to go and all three time outs. Yeah, I mean, but Rod Marinelli. He's done a tremendous job in the last two weeks of getting the defense played better football, and they done so up into the last couple drives. It just seems like they're starting to break down a little bit. And the Miami Dolphins is finding a rhythm with Fitzpatrick at the quarterback. Position. Sanders ready to kick it away. We have not seen a kickoff return tonight and over and kick Rishard moving back a couple of yards deep in the end zone. He will drop down to his right knee on Derek Carr in the offense will start at 25 Yard line. First intent Miami on their last two drives. 16 plays for 159 yards resulting in 10 points previous to that they had run 45 plays for 190 yards, and it's scored 13 points. Patriots at Dolphins: Alain Poupart breaks down Miami's running game

"The Houston was really the only team I would say that actually through on the Patriots effectively this year and DeShaun Watson besides Russell Wilson all the way back in week two thousand. I am curious, you know, the Dolphins do they have a running game. Do you think that they can do that with because I don't see it, but I don't want to I don't want to be biased over here. Either way. I mean, there are 30 second in the league in rushing yards per attempt. They were missing their top three rushing leaders last Sunday against the Chiefs. What's a be perfectly blunt? None of them are impact players Matt breida came off the covid-19. Wednesday obviously he'll be back. When he hasn't made much of an impact after coming over from the 49ers in the in the trade Myles Gaskin is on the Cove in list and he's a nice story as a second-year seventh-round pick who laughs basically got a cup of coffee in terms of playing time this year and he basically became their feature back and he's got some ability. But in a in an Ideal World Cup gasket is your backup is now your future back in this is what the Dolphins are dealing with our offensive line. Also a good story much better than was last year. They're starting three rookies with Austin Jackson am handsome in kinloch. but when you start three rookies pretty much ninety-nine percent of the time you're going to go through some growing pains and their offensive line while again exponentially better than what last year is still not great. Let's say it's worked in like but they're not a whole lot of big old being open in the running game and you don't have running backs off will make a lot of things happen on their own. So there's a reason again there there are thirty-second in the NFL in rushing yards per attempt and complicating matters. This week is they have injury issue is that wide receiver position where they also have a lot of players but not a whole lot of impact players. So you mentioned might get sick you earlier I believe and now he's got a shoulder injury where we can't get any Clarity from Ryan Flores as to his status for this week. It's all we'll see is working on all that. But if you saw the injury really really hard to Envision him playing cards Devante Port Parker pulled a hamstring or had a hamstring injury against the Chiefs you came out in the first app did not return. He practiced on a limited basis Wednesday, so hopefully play it but then if he plays this carrying a hamstring injury. And then so who else do you have left after that now you're looking at your team Grant who is more of a return specialist and and then their shuttle pass receiver gadget Play type of player on offense. He's also got a hamstring injury that knocked him out of Chiefs game. And then the rest of the wide receiver Corps is rookie limbo Junior who played multiple positions at Kentucky. You have a Mack Hollins who want to sign as a special-teams standout, which he is. He's very going to special teams but more so than the receiver and then you have one of the guys being talked up being able to make a major contribution as Isaiah Ford who you may remember from his three weeks with the Patriots after the acquired immune to trade in his office. I knew he was he didn't play it down for the Patriots. I knew how long is not going to last year when he got up here and he said it is freezing. I need a winter coat, you know, what am I going to do? And I just said look, I'm sure he's a fine football player. I'm sure he could make an impact on the team that needs wide receiver help but this guy does not seem like he wants to be in New England right now. Well, no, but he plays at Virginia Tech. So I'm so he's not like dead. He's from Jacksonville plant in Virginia tag, so it's not like he's not he's never been the call before and the thing about Isaiah Ford and then it was often friends are thinking. Well, Isaiah Ford is going to come and rescue the the passing game and that like life. He's a really really really nice good. And he might be in the league for ten years because he's got a great attitude. He works hard doesn't see anything. He's not an impact player. And right now this is what they have their wide receiver Corps. If she doesn't play they have nobody who's going to really scare the Patriots defense and if you you throughout the city also doesn't play. I mean who makes things happen on this office on Sunday? So that that's a big

Tua Tagovailoa vs. Belichick's Defense: A Challenge

"Get into the Dolphins. Now we have to start with to Greg. I watched him last week and I see a number of very good things from him, you know, the answer the anticipatory throws is great anticipation is accurate and he's really smart and you know football IQ is through the roof when you see him, he's diagnosing what the defense is doing and the first time around you might surprise him. It's very difficult to surprise in the second or third time around very smart guy doesn't have the strongest arm in the world, but he can move around in the pocket a little bit and he's got enough Armstrong. Had a downfield but I mostly pay attention to his accuracy his anticipation in his intelligence. I think that's what would separate too from some of the other younger quarterbacks that we've seen come into the league and so it's fascinating Greg this matchup. I remember we talked about the Justin Herbert matchup Belichick's record his resume against rookie quarterbacks or even just your quarterbacks first time in so we're going to have to who was very football Savvy and has a high football iQ going against Bill Belichick who of course has the Mind against rookie quarterbacks wage. What do you make of to his game in? What do you think the Patriots will try to do on Sunday to Rattle him. I'm looking at I thought you did a great job with your Scouting Report. I thought you know what I agreed on all those points, especially, you know, I think where he shows off to me is the football like you he he sometimes he will hang on to a play a little bit too long. I think that's probably a place. Where they've been working with him, he did that a couple of times against Kansas City, you know, but largely had a feel for what's going on. He knows how to get rid of the ball. I think Chan gailey's done a real nice job with him sort of slowly bringing him along and you know, yes, everybody's going to talk about Bill Belichick and his record against rookie quarterbacks, you know, but one thing you have to keep in my practice, you know, this is this is a rookie quarterback with Brian Flores, you know next to him who's so I assume Brian all week is showing him all Patriots film and say look, this is what they're going to do to you. This is this is what we would do to everybody. These are going to be the calls whatever you see don't trust your eyes before the snap. There's always going to be somebody dropping there's going to be they're going to be doing this song. I think that's going to be a huge asset for them. I think that Ted Karras at Center is going to be a huge asset for them cuz he knows how the Patriots, you know like to pressure cuz he's been here for so long. The Patriots know his weaknesses. Teddy's a pretty good pass protector. He struggles more in the Run game. But I do think you'll see the Patriots try to try to get him to move his feet side-to-side off a little bit slow. So I think you know targeting him with some t e stunts inside and things like that might generate some pressure. But yeah, I think I think that too is pretty good job to see if guys like DeVante Parker and get sick e who who, you know, we're beat up in the last game, you know, whether they'll be able to play because your talent talking about some really talented guys there. I mean God, I can't believe how far gesicki the tight end has come and I know Belichick basically called him a big wide receiver this week, which I think is accurate but he's damn good at what he does in a mash-up. Yeah and the one question and you know, we'll get into our picks and a little bit before we get this n'keal Harry thing you want to talk about and of course we still have the member question of the day on this pod. But you know the weapons right for Miami, we we talked about the weapons about the Patriots all the time. But when you look at the weapons of Miami, I think last week I saw something that too was down at one point in that game. He was down his top six receivers. So including Titan including tight end. So if you know if Grant is out if Parker is out if they're just you know off 60% if you know kasicki is out Myles Gaskin was on the covid-19 this last weekend, that's their guy who they've been running the football with what is it Ahmed salvano salvano, may I forget which way it goes his name, but he's the other running back on the roster. He's been dinged up. So this is a team if they're banged up. I don't know what they can do offensively. I mean, I like to a long shot, but the one thing that jumped out at me watching that Kansas City game and maybe it's just because Kansas City is so full of explosiveness and speed but the one thing that jumped out at me watching the Dolphins offense It's Not Dead. Dynamic like say they don't have explosion and DeVante Parker could be that guy at times but he's been banged up. He's got a hammy so I don't know if he's going to play but they lack if there's one thing they need to add immediately to that Miami offense to help to a is somebody who can be

"This is the sound of a neighborhood in Calcutta. India in December two thousand sixteen. It was recorded by residents who Konta Modum Dr. And this is what that same neighborhood sounded like on April first of this year after the covid nineteen lockdown. Like a unique place in time that we have to. Document for the future for sure. Amandine gas is a soundscape ecologist with the French National Research Institute for Sustainable Development. She supposed to be in the field, recording nocturnal sounds in southern France to evaluate the effect of light pollution on animals there instead she's at home, but she still recording now from her balcony, where normally she'd mostly be hearing traffic in my neighborhood, there's. Orchid expert Dr Manos Kanellos answers a Dendrobium question

"It's time for question of the week and this one comes from Gaskin who has an issue with dendrobium orchid skin rights. I got it a couple of years ago and it's been a joy flowering profusely for the first eighteen months. He's also doubled in size when it arrived it had a few stumps which made me think you'd have been divided or cutback with my kids. I know to Prune flowering stems back to the next node after flowering wanted. My danger need something similar and should I be dividing those rooting branche. Let's at the base. I am no dendrobium experts so I called on somebody who is to answer this question. Manosque ANALYSIS IS THE CO author of book growing orchids at home along with another orchid expert. Peter White so he was just the person meads speak to thankfully Manas was on hand to answer all Gaskins dendrobium queries. And then some are GonNa see three questions here. The basically the dribble what we're looking at is the drug of nobility which is native to Southeast East Asia and it is often referred as a cool growing in boom which is not doesn't do doctors in that it doesn't really need cool temperatures. But it's kind of spacey kind of special because it is one of the few calm only sold or kids that has a distinct growing unrest phase. It's going phase starts when you see buds on the gains in the rest phase stotts when the new gains have reached almost the height of the old canes their best boat late spring about. Now it's arrest and growing phase coincides with them with the nobody with a here now so I can see city questions that need to be honest from from paragraph. So the first question is what these stumps these dumps. In fact cut of games. The plant didn't need a one that say these case cut off but grow did cut them off so the blunt looks prettier for somebody to bite. Which these second question do you need to cut off the gains of the end of the Florence. No because they are used as reservoirs for nutrients and would that feed the new cades when the plan does need these old gains it will become crinkly yellow and then you can cut them off. It's not like offices which is unique in that. It Kennedy Flower on the same stem. These a flower. Normally it would just stop a move to the new gains but as they do not got the old game. I think this is where I've fallen down with this plant in the past because I in my ignorance of this plot have have cut off those stems before they sent me before they've gone completely yellow and Brinkley and as a result I've I was doing the right thing but obviously I wasn't and you end up with kind of an unbalanced ugly looking plan as well grow can do this because in the nursery does that. He's doing just before shows blunt. But he's doing it because in in your house you have perfect. Conditions was at home. The blood is not in ideal conditions. Most of the time so taking away it's Bui- Wa Shales nutrients in what is it. Makes it much more difficult for it to show? Its best left of left on the left with the plan until the plan tells you does need. I'm I guess this is. Why if you grow a few follow ups all kids you have to understand that the dendrobium Zarb different because that flowering style is quite different. They don't fly off from the same in the same way. Do they? Sort of flying from the side of the stag with a very short flowering stem as opposed to that long one get. We found offices years. There is different than two or three ways from other orchids. And as soon as you realize that most of the darkest got two or three significant but as if you only differences than the very to grow one is you know one or two key things. The key for this one is an interest and a glowing period joining address. You keep it cool in cool bright dry conditions Jewish growing face you know what orchid the key to eight was you do this L. Thrive. It's not difficult to grow at home now. The third question w dividing the Bronx leads at the bottom and a difficult one to answer. It's basically that says yes. No these orchid if it's not given a proper rest videoed develop not bronze. Let's they're called chi-chi's new plantlets on the canes if it does so these are best sprayed with some water will. Miss missed it and win the have enough road full five a couple of inches in length either be snapped off and then all put together in small report and you have a new plan but on this case in this picture this is not. Lebron's lead it doesn't look like a is. It just looked looks like a new cane. Orchid looks that it could do with reporting and now it is that I tend to report it all the way until the end of June. So it is best reported in a weaponry party is good to take a little bit of also dog from the bottom of the boat and boot the audit into its new book which should be only slightly bigger a little bit deeper. These huge go into into the bar. So if you really really wanted you cool take that bit off. But it's risky and you have to ask why the best thing is to be less with planned so you end up with a big stronger thriving blunt and what is the best mix to use with the dendrobium is it just like kind. Classic orchid bog just simply bought a don't balk based or anything called compost. You Know Eh isn't a very and you do. Not because they have long games a lot of people feel they need to put him in a big. But the problem with this is that it's not easy to keep it on the very dry Jimmy. It's rest period. So if need be for weight you could put a couple of Februaries in the but the best to just every time you just slightly at the best the next size up in terms of thought so the nets sized book on. I know that I say it. It looks a little bit too big for its board. But that's what it needs to do to do and say just balk which will enable enabled the grower to keep it on the on the dry side during rest field watering these kids. I mean is there any special requirements? Here judy is growing face You what you keep it moist but not overly wet. You can use hardwood that it's easy but it's good at least from time to time to use a rainwater always luke warm temperatures and it was. The new. Gains was the end of the season growing cheese on Wednesday new case of the the height. Alsi availed gains than you. Keep it on the dry side very little water from time to time with Chevy Mistake. So doesn't get bone dry and deal. You see a new buds appearing on the new gains. The new gains also good to be stoked will be supported otherwise can just fold over all or the garden grow. Not Straight okay. That makes sense. Well that's helped me. Also because I've I've got a couple of little Katie's or might dendrobium which I have. I have to say already removed without really checking what I was supposedly but removed them and they were glass of water in the minutes. Must pop those up there quite small but they have got decent read some them so they can just go into one newport with market bark and hopefully they'll go next year with the oxy skype is is you can just snap them off the gain of the boom rather than a cover to cut off a little bit of this time as you have to do with the with the front office and then. Yes dorothy three together with them on on a very small against the Mita in Bach and and not too much watering at the START STUCCO FLEETS. And then you'll have a and what about this worry that people have the they're all kids in see through. Pulse is not true because I can't seem to come from the nursery and report to. We need to look for seats. Report Oral Paik once. Okay very good question. A book is good because you see the system village focusing the size especially Clear all else equal is a good thing. I clear poured for not only for August for plotted plants as well because I can see the roots but it is not necessary to grow or what is essential in a boat. The guarding orchids is that it has good. Greenwich has blend your host closer to drain or kids especially for an obvious need to drain and dry well. Between what the other thing. Also which is the secret is easy. Key is don't even have a dome even clear participation it the Dome it is definitely made for orchids because no The plan needs that kind of special boot so there are clear thoughts in the market. Which frankly not really good for you. Because they don't have good Greenwich as long as the pot has very good grant. A lot of big holes at the bottom is good for orchids. The all clear is better because you also she system in the roots This House is when you say talk about the Dome is the Boston. Part isn't flat. It's got a raise section which presumably is increasing surface area for more act coming in the menu holes at the bottom of the foot. Give it good drellich than dome is mostly for Asia. "In October of Nineteen seventy-five Kim Calkins. Father Convinced. A deputy to search gaskins house. He knew gaskins had something to do with. His daughter's disappearance than soon is worst. Suspicions were confirmed. The officer found some of the young girls clothing stuffed in gaskins closet. Gaskins was arrested on an unrelated charge while detectives built their case over the next few days authorities began questioning his friends and associates. And Soon Walter. Neely began to crack after helping gaskins buried the two men. Walter States silent either out of loyalty your fear. He kept what he knew from the police. But the guilt of watching gaskins murder two men ate him up inside and soon we had to talk about it with someone he had to confess. Desperate for an outlet Walter turned to his minister and told the man everything he knew about Donald Henry Gaskins and he knew a lot after recovering from the shock of the disturbing story. The Minister Convinced Walter to turn himself into police to save his soul in December of nineteen. Seventy five Walter led authorities to the bodies of the two thieves. He'd watched gaskins murder then because gaskins hinted alter that he'd buried more bodies nearby. Police did a sweep of the area in Dad's spot alone. They uncovered the corpses of four more victims before police had struggled to Pin Kim Gilkissons disappearance on Gaskins. Now they had evidence linking him to six murders ultimately. They decided to try gaskins for each crime one at a time. They began with a trial for one of the thieves. He killed while Walter. Neely watched using strong ballistic evidence. The prosecution linked to pistol gaskins owned to the killing shot. It was all the jury needed on. May Twenty Eighth Nineteen seventy six forty three year. Old gaskins was convicted and sentenced to life in prison. Walter neely meanwhile didn't fare any better since he hadn't made a deal with police before leading them to the bodies. He was also sentenced to life for being an accessory to murder by the end of the following year. Gaskins was tried for the deaths of eight more victims and given a light sentence for each one when he returned to prison. He was one of the most notorious killers in South Carolina's history with infamy like that gaskins had the respect of every inmate in the state penitentiary. He could get away with almost anything in prison short of escape but what he really wanted to do was to keep killing in one thousand nine hundred forty seven year. Old gaskins finally got his chance. An inmate approached him with a job. Someone wanted a man on death. Row named Rudolph Tyner Kill. Tyner had killed an elderly couple in a botched robbery and their son. A man named Tony Cmo wanted him to pay for what he'd done. But due to the high level of security on death row the hint was nearly impossible gaskins however was up for the challenge over the next few months gaskins befriended tyner by smuggling drugs into the cell. Then once they built a poor he tried poisoning him. Gaskins claimed he attempted this five different times. Lacing Timers Food and drugs with whatever Tony's CMO sent him but nothing worked finely. Gaskins was sick of the delays with a series of bribes. He was able to get c four a plastic explosive smuggled into prison. He rigged it to a walkie talkie and sent it up to Tyner as a gift claiming it would make it easy for Tyner to ask him for more drugs whenever he liked China believe him and when he pressed the button to send a message to gaskins he detonated the seafloor. The explosion rocked the entire cellblock. It took weeks for investigators to figure out what had happened but when they finally realized who was responsible they were blown away. Donald Henry Gaskins had killed someone on death. Row with military grade weaponry though the story was good for gaskins increasingly violent reputation in prison it also gained him a formidable enemy. The prison warden. The explosion wasn't embarrassment and had exposed the facilities flawed security now. Authorities were determined not just to seek justice but revenge. They pressed to get gaskins. The death penalty and got it. Ten years and several failed appeals later fifty eight-year-old Donald Henry Gaskins was executed by electric chair about September. Sixth Nineteen ninety-one at the time gaskins accepted his fate but his impending death did nothing to humble him before his execution he wrote. I have walked the same path as God by taking lives and making others afraid of me. I become gods equal through killing others. I become my own master. Gaskins believed that. Doing the Devil's work somehow made him a God. Something transcendent that extended beyond his mortality. But really if gaskins proved anything. It's that demons. Come in all shapes and sizes..

"When police found the body. They pursued a full-scale investigation and because of his criminal record gaskins wasn't immediate suspect but this time he prepared he'd painstakingly constructed an alibi for the occasion accounting for every second of his imaginary visit to Charleston and it worked months later. Another man was convicted of the crime than Gaskins walked free when he claimed credit for Peggy's murder years afterward. Investigators refused to believe him. As we mentioned earlier gaskins wasn't always a reliable narrator and there's reason to suspect the gaskins confession to Peggy's murder years later was false for one. The story about Peggy insulting him was remarkably similar to one of his first assaults in that account he hit a young woman with a hammer for taunting him and calling him scum for another gaskins didn't usually dump victims into obvious locations. He later claimed he made a special exception for Peggy because her father was an important man but this explanation seems suspect at best up until this point gaskins had also been relatively careful about who he killed. He was terrified of returning to jail and so it seems unlikely that he would have considered murdering a politician's daughter to this day. Investigators are confident that they put the right man. Away for Peggy Steph. Despite gaskins confession they believe that Gaskins most likely lied to take the credit for a higher profile murder. However it's worth noting that although this may be possible gaskins already had plenty of publicity for other murders when he claimed he killed Peggy. There wasn't a strong reason for him to lie about it other than wanting to take credit for as many murders as he could whether or not gaskins really murdered Peggy Cotino. He certainly didn't stop after her death. As nineteen seventy-one rolled around thirty-eight-year-old gaskins was still getting an intense craving for violence. Every six weeks or so and just like before. He was unable to hold himself back. Gaskins claimed he murdered eleven more hitchhikers that year however he never provided many details about these skills and as usual. He remained uninterested in his victims names. It's possible the gaskins really did murder. Another dozen people in one thousand nine hundred seventy one but once again. There's reason to doubt his story that year. He would have quite busy for one around that time. He married his fifth wife. The woman's name isn't known but she was three months pregnant when they married and months later she gave birth to Gaskins only son who they named. Donald Lee gaskins would have been a tall order for gaskins to disappear so often with a wife and new baby at home but there are other inconsistencies from stories that cast doubt on his account for example Nineteen Seventy-two Gaskins. Also said he shot. Eddie Brown commando sold stolen guns for him along with that. He's wife Birdie. According to Gaskins he killed Eddie to prevent them from snitching to police about the gun running. But there's no evidence that Eddie or Birdie ever even existed. There's a high likelihood that gaskins later confessed to these murders and perhaps other kills well simply to inflate his victim count just as he may have done with the murder. Peggy Cotino Dr Catherine Rams notes that there are several reasons why serial killer my window exaggerate their number of kills including twisted lust for fame. She writes some serial killers. Gave outrageously high victim counts to enhance their degree of infamy. This explanation rings true in the case of Gaskins after all his first murder wasn't committed out of blood loss but to create a violent reputation that would protect him from other inmates in prison. He hated to be humiliated. And he found early on that fear and intimidation. Were his best weapons if he could make people believe he was some kind of insatiable monster no one would ever think of underestimating him and so he set out to make himself the most brutal killer he could imagine even if that meant may be embellishing here and there but the gas can certainly exaggerated and flat out lied to authorities about all kinds of things. He undeniably terrorized and killed many people as time went on his appetite for torture intensified and he began to subject his victims to more and more elaborate suffering sometimes as he browsed hardware stores for fun looking over the tools hanging in the aisles. He dream up new sadistic fantasies but gaskins perpetrated one of his most disturbing acts against a fourteen year. Old Girl named Jackie Freeman. It's possible that Jackie was a made up victim like many of his others but she was one of the few hitchhikers whose name he bothered to learn making her an unusual case gaskins claim to have picked up Jackie on the highway in the latter half of Nineteen seventy-three. She was a young runaway. Who confessed to the forty year old? Gaskins that she'd been abused by her stepfather. Gaskins told Jackie that he'd had a similar upbringing and knew her pain. What he didn't tell her is that he planned to make her suffer even more instead of bringing Jackie to Myrtle beach as promised gaskins drove to an abandoned house outside of sumter South Carolina there. He sexually abused the girl and claimed that he spent multiple days torturing her he even alleged he cooked and ate small parts of her body his only disturbing foray into cannibalism. But it didn't last long. According to Gaskins finally killed Jackie after eating part of her leg because she screamed too much well. He cut her by then. Gaskins had fully embraced the devil inside himself. There was no line. He wouldn't cross and the more victims. He claimed the better he slept at night and soon after murdering Jackie Freeman. He decided to let the world know in bold fashioned. What he was capable of he came across a shady acquaintance. Who was selling a used hearse for cheap. For obvious reasons gaskins friend had trouble getting anyone to buy it but gaskins had no such reservations. He purchased the her on the spot and started driving it around town. He even made a custom signed. Hang on the back. Which said we haul anything living or dead the vehicle made him somewhat of a local eccentric in his town whenever someone asked why he drove a hearse. Gaskin said because I kill so many people. I need a hearse to haul them to my private cemetery. The locals took it as a joke.

"In nineteen sixty eight thirty five year old. Donald Henry Gaskins was released from prison after serving four years for sexually assaulting a twelve year old girl soon after he moved to a small South Carolina town in search of a new life but instead of enjoying his freedom gaskins became restless. His anger started getting worse and even the slightest irritation flared his temper so to cool his head. He took to picking up female hitchhikers along the State Highway. Extorting them for sex in exchange for a ride but soon his appetite for violence grew more ravenous gaskin started having sadistic fantasies about the women who rejected him twisted scenes that would play in his head day and night and by the beginning of nineteen sixty nine. He knew he was on the verge of exploding in violent rage if he didn't find an outlet for his anger. The gaskins was terrified at the prospect of returning to jail. He seemed unable to handle his temper or just picking up hitchhikers so it was hardly a surprise when in September of that year. The two urges finally collided. Honest Sunday morning. Thirty six year old gaskins went out for another long drive to cool his head. He cruised up and down the highway for hours trying to shake off what he described as a hot lead and feeling in the pit of his stomach around mid afternoon he spotted a toll young woman by the side of the road who guest was in her late teens. Gaskins pulled over and she hopped in his car as he pulled back onto the highway. Gaskins asked her where she was headed when she said Charlestown Gaskins snorted. He delicately implied that the only reason he'd drive that far would be in return for sex at that. The woman laughed nervously and asked to be let out of the car. According to Gaskins when previous hitchhikers shot down his advances. He always let them leave safely. But this time he hesitated. He couldn't stand to imagine dropping her off only to have her shudder in discussed the girls nervous. Laughter had no effect on him. Gaskins had already decided. He couldn't let her go. He was going to make her suffer. Gaskins seemed particularly prone to outbursts when he felt humiliated. Repressed feelings of shame is a common trigger for many serial killers. Vanessa's going to take over on the psychology here and throughout the episode please note. Vanessa's not a licensed psychologist or psychiatrist. But she has done a lot of research for the show. Thanks Greg According to Dr Robert Hale. Serial killers often report treating their victims as stand ins for people who've personally humiliated than in the past. Hale writes in the mind of the serial killer. The victim serves to bring back memories of someone who embarrassed them earlier in life. The killer transfers feelings of hatred rage and fear onto the victim in an attempt to remove the memory of humiliation that day in nineteen sixty nine the brutal rage gaskins had suppressed for over thirty. Five years came flooding out all at once. He pulled over to the side of the road and slammed on the brakes Ben. He's slowly turned and smiled at his passenger. The woman returns. His glance uneasily then reached for her bag in the back seat. The one she took her eyes off of Gaskins he punched her heart on the side of the head then slammed her face into the dashboard. He hit her twice more until she finally slumped into the passenger seat unconscious gaskins bombed the woman using his belt and drove down to an old logging road when she came to. He began torturing her he raped the woman at knifepoint and mutilated her chest. Then he threw her in the trunk of his car next. He stopped by gas station to buy some clothes line with the young woman still in his trunk then he drove to the edge of a deep marsh. They're gaskins pulled her out of the trunk and made her plead for her life but when she did he just laughed interface only after she was completely overcome by despair. Did he brutally kill her then? He's soccer body in the swamp. Afterwards gaskins claimed. He felt better than he had in months. The tension in his gut had seemed to dissolve. But it wasn't for long the next morning he woke with a start. He was overcome by panic and had even wet the bed during the night. Gaskins chastised himself not for killing the woman but for doing it so impulsively. He resolved never to be so careless again. Over the next few weeks gaskins intricately planned his next murders. He bought cables handcuffs and various tools to torture his victims including a blow torch and a pump used to spray water at high pressure. Then he trolled around the back woods near the state highway searching deserted roads and out of the way places to stash bodies. After a few weeks he knew every nook and cranny of the wetlands and the region. He was ready to go hunting about six weeks. After gaskins killed his first hitch hiker. He went back out to search for another victim soon. He found another young woman tortured and killed her and just six weeks after that he went out again. Gaskins later wrote that. He tortured the girls and women in a variety of ways but generally his preference skewed to whatever was most painful. The bore his victim suffered the more sadistic pleasure. He took their deaths. He never bothered to learn their names and after a while. He forgot most of their faces. Because of this it's difficult to verify how many people he murdered this way and it's important to note that many of his purported kills during this time are unconfirmed because these murders aren't confirmed it's possible the gaskins embellish this part of his life. He loved for people to be afraid of him and he may have thought that exaggerating. These stories would make him sound more ruthless and prolific than he actually was in fact. It's possible he never killed any hitchhikers at all but according to gaskins after his first three murders that year he continued his killing spree for the next year and a half averaging about one victim every six weeks by his count. He claimed the lives of ten women between September of nineteen sixty nine and October of nineteen seventy alone including the man he murdered in prison years. Before by one thousand nine hundred seventy gaskins had killed almost a dozen people but despite all these murders it was his twelfth victim. That would mark a turning point for him in November of nineteen seventy thirty-seven-year-old gaskins got a macabre opportunity. He couldn't resist while driving through the town of sumter. A Carload of young girls including his fifteen year old niece Janice flagged him down. Gaskins was on good terms with Janice they'll be weren't close. They often saw each other at a drive in restaurant. On the weekends were Gaskins Regularly Eight and Janice hung out with her friends but that night he could tell that Janice wasn't herself? When gaskins pulled up to the group of teenage girls they told him that Janice had gotten drunk and needed to sober up before she could go home. They asked Gaskins to take care of her. While the rest of them rushed back to make their curfew gaskins agreed and Janice along with her sober friend. Seventeen year old Patricia. An climbed in his car. He then took the girls to a small house outside of town. Once inside suggested the Janice take a shower to sober up but when Patricia and started helping Janice Clean Up Gaskins. He attempted to sexually assault them both but they fought back. Patricia. Ann Ran from gaskins and found a two by four on the ground. She grabbed it and swung it around. Wildly Clipping gaskins. On the back of the head. He hit the ground hard and passed out but a couple of minutes later he came to bewildered. He stood up and looked around the room. The girls were gone. Gaskins jumped up ran outside. He hopped in his car and race down the highway. Knowing the girls couldn't have gotten far he eventually found them staggering back toward town in the dark. Gaskins jumped out of the car and held the girls at gunpoint. He threw them in the trunk and then took them back to his house where he again attempted to rape them but when they nearly got away a second time gaskins realized he couldn't. Rangel both of them at once instead he decided he just have to kill them. I T not both girls out with the butt of his pistol. Then he gathered up their belongings drag Patricia and into his trunk and drove down the road a bit to an abandoned home. He knew well. Once he arrived he managed to move her unconscious body to the back of the House to the septic tank. Gaskins opened the top of the Putrid Tank and dropped Patricia. An inside. While she was still breathing he watched her sink waiting until the bubbles stopped coming up then replaced the LID. She was his twelfth victim. But he wasn't done yet. Gaskins then drove back down to his house to deal with. Chanice but when he arrived he found that she had already died. The blow to her head from the butt of his pistol hadn't just knocked her out. It had killed her so with the deed already done gaskins buried his niece behind his barn.

"Once again gaskins had thrown away. His freedom to commit impulsive violence his decision to rape. Patsy seemed come almost out of nowhere and he never explained exactly why he'd attacked her. The gaskins was both victim and sexual abuser in prison. There was no obvious trigger which drove to suddenly prey on an innocent girl and perhaps that was the whole point as sickening and difficult as it may be to believe it's possible. Gaskins was motivated purely by boredom and dissatisfaction with the state of his life though his job with the preacher and his new marriage provided him with some stability. It likely wasn't very exciting for him. His robberies had become routine and he hardly saw his wife. Except during the occasional weekend he was looking for some kind of stimulation and patsy happened to be a convenient and vulnerable target in his interviews with child. Sex abusers sociologist. Dr Douglas Prior examined the motivations behind their crimes. During his research he found that of his subjects had the same complaint. They reported feeling trapped in smothered in their lives before they began their attacks. Doctor Prior Rights one offender reached what to him was an emotional low. He wanted some excitement in his life and apparently molesting children seemed to provide that for him. Gaskins perverse quest for excitement led him to commit more and more despicable acts with little concern for victims or the law but when the law did catch up with him gaskins was willing to go to any lengths to avoid punishment a week after his arrest when police took him to the courthouse to stand trial day made a critical mistake while in the waiting room. The officers unshackled gaskins for just a moment as soon as he was free he bolted and dove out an open window without looking down he fell two stories before landing in a clump of tall hedges surrounding the building. He then sprint into the parking lot. Where gaskins claimed he found a car with the key still in the ignition after stopping by his parents home. Grab some cash. Gaskins fled to North Carolina. He'd been hoping to find. Work there at a carnival. He toured with years before but they changed their travel schedule and Gaskins had no idea how to find them instead. He settled on renting a room at an out of the way boarding house where he laid low for the next few months. He ditched the stolen car. He was driving and using the cash she'd taken from his parents house. He bought a junker once. He was sure the police weren't on his tail. Gaskins turned his mind to other matters mainly his nagging loneliness. Gaskins was desperate for company so after he arrived in North Carolina. He said about finding himself yet another wife. Two months later gaskins approached a seventeen year. Old Girl named Lenny at a local hardware store. He charmed the teenager and the relationship escalated quickly. Not Long. After they met they were married but thirty year. Old Gaskins wasn't interested in true companionship. He'd only marry lenny to trick her into bed and once he decided he was through with her just a few months later he left town and drove onto Charlotte there. He contacted his second wife. Jerry after some convincing Jerry agreed to meet Gaskins in Savannah Georgia two days later. The pair headed to Florida for the first couple of days. They were like newlyweds again. They talk to laughed and enjoyed their time on the road together. But after only a few days Jerry realized gaskins had no job no place to live and no plans whatsoever. Most likely gaskins had lied to Jerry over the phone to convince her to meet him when she found out the truth she demanded to go home. Gaskins reluctantly agreed to take her back to Savannah but it was a small act of decency that he'd soon regret on the way back to Georgia. A traffic cop tried to pull gaskins over for speeding. And he panicked. He knew if he pulled over he'd be sent back to prison. He also knew if he tried to flee and they caught up to him. It'd be even worse. But gaskins was a betting man so he put the pedal to the floor.

"Enough as to whether or not he got into the ball into the end zone. Was just sheer will. And if he is short it'll be third and goal on the one yard line. It's really quite amazing guys. What he's been able to accomplish. We've talked about it earlier in this game with miles Gaskins its stature to be able to have that much mileage on the chassis in that much production to your point Greg earlier. I mean, we're talking about a two hundred thirty Pounder here. Right. Just how difficult is he to tackle? That's always the question breaks tackles. He's got the low set of regret. See? And then he's been so impressive over the last four years. Does look like he's got to be just short view. Reuters backside is down prior to the ball. Breaking the goal line. Where it'll be third down guys Gaskin, given his mileage size have an NFL future. I would definitely kick the tires. That's for sure. I mean, I do worry a little bit about the shot clock. And and I mean, just how many hits in the in the pitch count. But tell you what man I mean, he is just figured out a way to get it done. And at what point do you have to let commonsense override the rule and take what has been a great play over the last four years over a guy that might have a little more upside, but probably quite a bit lower floor. Third and goal. One pleasant is in full back in front of Gaskin under centers Browning. Takes the snap turns pitches. It running Gaskin gets the touchdown. Anyway. Miles gasket hits paid twenty eight sixteen Ohio State was six forty two to go. See if Ohio State goes for one or two here like they're just going to bring on the kicker try to make it an eleven point game. And I'm okay with that right now, you don't necessarily have to go for two until you obviously that that's what could connect the dots. This still going to be a to score game, regardless..

"Gaskin is in a shotgun. Again, Jake Browning wide right now man in motion Gaskin takes a snap keeps himself seaports. Touchdown washington. Fifty sixty three touchdown run for miles. Gaskin ties led Dale white for fourth of the all time Pac twelve chart one play six yard drive, Washington. Forty one sixteen the call from Toni castricone and the huskies forty two twenty three win over Oregon state Saturday in which gas scored twice ran for one hundred thirty five yards. He and the rest of the seniors in their final game at husky stadium. Tony's with me to recap and look ahead of the apple Cup. First of all looks like they did what they had to do against Oregon state. Tony oddsmakers had a bigger spread. But the big thing is they didn't appear to be looking past OSU. Yeah. Absolutely. Not tom. And and I think the first quarter kind of set it all this husky team came out on a mission and played its best football in the first quarter. When the game was still in the balance and outscore anybody twenty eight to three in the first quarter. You never know how the next three you're going to go. But I thought Washington played really well, you talk about the seniors miles Gaskin did have a great game. And he's now less than one hundred yards away from becoming the. I pack twelve running back ever at four one thousand yard seasons. But Jake Browning also just managed the game. Really? Well, seventeen of twenty three two hundred forty two yards passing three touchdowns no turnovers. And the huskies get him and his senior class eight thirty seventh win and Jake Brennan's. Now, the winningest all time Pacho of quarterback. He's also never lost to the Cougars in three starts, and he tries to become the first ever to beat them in four. But this is gonna be a tough test. We had a red hot cougar teams in the past that just last couple of years were annihilated by the huskies. It didn't turn out to be much of a match up at all. But this seems to be a WC team after hammering Arizona. With a quarterback that seems to be touched by magic almost. Yeah. Absolutely. Magic and mustaches. As garner issue is definitely one of the best quarterbacks in the country should get invited to New York for the Heisman. Trophy ceremony is a finalist in look Washington state's offenses potent no doubt about it. The only team in college football throwing for over four hundred yards per game. They they complete seventy point three percent of their passes. That's first in the nation. This offense is as good as we've seen and they're playing for everything. There's a chance they could get into the college football playoffs. If they beat Washington and win the Pac twelve championship game. So this is what you want the one hundred eleven th Boeing apple Cup with everything at stake for both teams. Both teams really want to go to the Rose Bowl or better. And and only one can. And we'll figure it out on Friday at five thirty going to be fun a short work week for both schools short work for you as well. Tony Damon Huard, we'll have the broadcast for you coming up. "Gaskin scoring runs Saturday. The huskies closer than expected thirty one twenty four whenever UCLA. Tony's with us this morning for our weekly recap. And look ahead to next week morning. Tony, how are you John? How you doing? Well, thank you. I say closer than expected as a doctor twenty one point favorites here they won by seven. And what is that? It was a win. But we're this of things huskies did or did not do in this one. The two may be cause for concern moving forward. Well, you know, I think the first thirty minutes of the game were excellent Washington. Build a twenty four to seven lead really on the back of an offense. That was very very balanced Jake Browning threw the ball exceptionally. Well and byles gas getting company that ran the ball pretty well, the first thirty minutes and the defense did a good job of getting off the field, particularly on third down in the first half. Where UCLA converted just one of their four third down situations in the second half. Huskies really didn't have the ball all that often. And that's a credit UCLA. They're balkan. Control offense. A very young offense is playing a lot of freshmen and they did a good job on third down. They went seven of ten in the second half on third down conversions that allowed them to control the clock. Washington had the ball rolling six plays in the entire third quarter allowed UCLA to get back into the game. But with the huskies needed the place down the stretch, they made them and they move onto their biggest game of the year on the backs of a thirty one to twenty four wins. And you know, we talked about miles gasket. We heard his highlight at the beginning here. This guy has never really seemed to get the acclaim that is due him. And he just continues to have not only a great season mcgary career. I think nationally probably has in a locally he certainly has. I mean, he's leading rusher in the history of husky football. Another fantastic performance out of him. He clips one hundred yards the other night, which I was the twenty second time in his career that he's done that. Which is now a new husky record that breaks Chris pokes Mark of twenty one one hundred yard games. But yeah, I mean in order for this offense. Probably be. It's absolute best. It needs to have balanced. And that means it needs to have a real threat. The running game and miles Gaskin is certainly that. And the offensive line continues to jail and get good push up front. Well, the huskies often fierce almost always bitter rivalry comes up again with Oregon and Eugene coming up on Saturday. "Nikiel Harry pretty good player with Manny Wilkins. But they come up with touchdowns short. I don't think Arizona's states as physical all the way around on the lines of scrimmage, but they do have speed maybe. A little more speed than BYU's talk to me about game plan going in because I would think in may be similar to the way you guys got to win at Madison to where you control the clock. You use your bra on the lines and you use guys like Swahli candidate to get big plays. You worked at clock. You take care of the ball. And I guess that's probably it in a nutshell make the passes when they're open and make them count and go in there and try and get one of the the toughest places to play. I mean against the coach Chris Petersen. Try and steal one there. And one other commonality we're gonna look to at BYU already played two P five away games. Right. They went on and won. They went to Wisconsin. And one one of those two game. Sharon common BYU had zero giveaways. That's pretty good place to start when you're going on the road to p five whether it's ranked Wisconsin and Washington are unranked as as as a result was and again at that time people still expected Arizona to win that game. He was a double digit dogs because Khalil Tate was still Khalil Tate at that time. And so that wind carried a lot of value in the moment, less value when Arizona struggled the next week. But still what they did at that moment for four nine program. Last year was pretty impressive more impressive. What they did in Madison. And and can once you've gone into camp? Randall and one there. Especially since Madison Wisconsin bounce back. Well, and then be on the road last week. Once you got into Madison and won that game you at the bar or what you're capable of. So no one should should feel that that the task at Washington is any less doable. The task was Madison. And so I think BYU has that going for them right now knowing what they've been able to do at camp. Randall should help them at husky stadium different challenge, different strengths, the two teams are facing. But by the same token. You know, is is is miles Gaskin going to be any more of a challenge than Jonathan Taylor. Was John Taylor is still an excellent running back mile Gaskin a career leader at U dub es legit too. But it's not as if they haven't seen quality running back or quality quarterback or guys you really have to focus on stopping as part of a key component of your game plan. And so BYU's done it. The only question is, you know, can be why you do it again. But it should have confidence in their ability to do. So. But I go back to that turnover number in their three wins. They have one giveaway. Two and one of the biggest improvements in this BYU team. This year is is ball security last year. They were eighteen in the country in turnover margin their twelfth right now, they turn the ball over on one of every six drives last year turned it around one every twenty drives this year. You know, forty drives. Beg your pardon this year. So it's it's it's it's a different looking. Twenty was correct. One of every twenty drives. Correct. So looking BYU team in terms of ball security and the larger improvement. They've made just in that in that one aspect of the game right there. And you can also look at what they're doing when they get in a position to score last year's red zone. Touchdown percentage was in the bottom, five nationally. And they're more than twenty percent better than they were last year. Getting inside the twentieth finishing with touchdown. So while the opposite numbers themselves that the pure Ron numbers, especially throwing it aren't jumping off the page right now BYU so much more efficient offensive team and careful off into team. And it's made all the difference. All right last things ain't Anderson. Use your leading tackler and is your leading tackler with one less game under his belt than the other players on the cougar defense. How is he is he ready to go against Washington on Saturday? Can't they can't say definitively about Bain or Butch or Diane von cue that's three defensive starters who were out last week. But I was told that at least seen and Butch where. We're kind of asking to get in like, I'm ready to go. Let me go. Let me go and the kind of had to be held back. So maybe those guys are a little farther ahead right now than the other but range be seen who actually suit up on game day in Seattle, and maybe mission you're starting fullback last couple of games to in Brandon. Oh, back read these legit. He's alone. But they also won without Wisconsin. And Wisconsin you want all hands on deck, and especially if you're going to run a power game. You're starting fullbacks pretty important player. They went without them and still found a way to win. You know, kalani Gelani's next man up mentality is paid off to this point. We'll see how much you will have to on Saturday. But certainly trio gets back the better for BYU on defense. And no doubt about it. Greg, and it's always good for us here on the west coast. "I love using it whenever I can. I, I'm always hoping I can use it more places. Another thing apple that apple mentioned during this earnings results call is finally CBS is going to allow Apple Pay. If you remember way back when they disabled it in favor of the now failed current see. Payments platform. So they're going to be opening that up. And apple continues to work to expand and grow. Apple Pay. Sounds like it's paying off for them. And then lastly, another thing paying off in this quarter. We've mentioned services. Part of that is apple music. Fifty million apple music listeners. Now they say across both paid subscriptions and free trials. And as a matter of fact, revenues on apple music grew fifty percent over this past quarter. So apple continuing to expand rapidly on apple music, and that's a significant contributor to their services revenue. And I have to imagine once they launch this video service sometime in twenty nineteen, that is going to be a nother leapfrog for services, and I look forward to seeing that happen but overall fabulous quarter for apple. Third quarter of twenty eighteen much better. Better than I thought they were gonna do. Although they did note, it was in some of the numbers a little bit lower than what Wall Street was expecting. So we'll have to see and watch what this does to the straw stock price. But I think you know, with these kind of numbers, Apple's going to be just fine. As we get closer to the fall, we are getting more and more details about this year's iphone lineup. It's starting to solidify at this point. We're at that magic place where we're a few months from the announcement and that means we're getting stronger leaks and indications coming out of the supply chain. Yes, Tim cook says, don't trust the supply chain. But as we get closer to actual announcement launch date, it starts to become a little bit more believable. And this time around this week, apple leaker Benjamin Gaskin who's been pretty accurate with a lot of his leaks in the past. He posted some images of dummy units of the new iphones to his Twitter account, and it seemingly confirms the three sizes that we've already been talking about three sizes, three models, the to lead models, five point, eight inch, replacing the current iphone ten in a new larger six point. Five inch iphone ten model and then the lower cost really mid range priced six point, one inch LCD model. It does show the six point five inch version with a two limbs camera. Not a three lens camera. There had been some rumors out there that there may be a third lens added in there. Although it was debatable a lot of the images. It just looked like it was the LED flash, what's which sits in the middle, that a lot of people were trying to call the third lens. So expect that to be a two lens camera system just like in the five point, eight inch model and then a few more details on the six point, one inch model, it's believed that it will have an aluminum frame instead of a steel frame in these are all things to kind of reduce the cost to the production costs can be that lower priced model. So St. aluminum frame instead of steel. We've already heard the rumors that it may not have three touch on the display. Also, it will have just a single lens camera, and it may be the only model that will come in colors. So I don't know if that means it's meant to replace the iphone SE.
