"Fake news, gives you guys. Penalties. Applies. The truth. Sean Hannity's on right now the best players. They take it to another level mentally, whether the most visual, the most positive in their thoughts. But Jerry, woodland today, he really for the most part, only saw what he wanted to have happened. Friends behind the green. Waiting for Gary woodland to try to finish this off. Kerry. The US. A friend of ours major. Dan, Rooney started knew that you were going to make that even though was like thirty or forty feet because it would have long you up thirteen under Paul because thirteen is very important. Major Dan's Bennett huge influence on my life. And he's got me to understand that freedom isn't free and there's many women, that's and do so much for us. So I can go out and play a game of golf and live my life onto freedom, and he's understood that he's helped me understand that. And you know, enough to, to wear patriach colors with part of volition in full honor to give back to the men and women that sacrifice so much for us. You know, these such great organizations that you just heard Gary, woodland mention and he is the twenty nineteen winner, the US open, you know, I, I was always I thought a good athlete by played hockey ice hockey roller hockey. We played basketball baseball. I was a pitcher every sport imaginable, the only game I cannot play good at all is golf well, number one, I don't have enough time to get good golf and you need to put in at it. He's one of the longest hitters at seventy. Percents. Average is about three hundred fifteen yard drives and more importantly, the background in the story of Gary woodland is even more impressive. "Thousand dollars each. One of us putting up ten grand cash. We'll have it on site. We are targeting now September or October. I think is the move is all business Pete in this decision. Is this a real thing? Now we're really targeting it to do it. Right. Because erect Ono all biz Pete, and I have had serious discussions. Pita said, I'm ready? Give me a couple of months, and I'm ready. He's map this thing out. He fucking like he went out in the morning, one day when we were at Pebble Beach, and did a scouting mission on how to cover golf and was like plotting things down like a notebook and should credible. So he's Pete's ready to go. He's very confident. So where we're an and I kind of said this on radio yesterday, but I'd like to reiterate here because we get a lot of notes about this. That drive me crazy where people like how could you to focus idiots? Not just coordinator teatime, next two months ago looked. Well, you have to realize partial sports, went in are just going to go out play golf course and then just tell people what happened. We're going to live the entire thing. We are probably going to do pay per view for it. We're going to have six cameras to gigantic production trucks. That Pete says or the size of tractor trailers. We gotta get Dave big cat. You know, whoever else maybe Ronin Caleb on the on course reporting, we gotta get business to be able to be there scheduling wise, to be on wits bag. Frankie on my bag. We wanna get somebody like maybe kids Bryson or brand, or somebody else to jump into the commentary that really knows golf. That would be goods. We've got a coordinate all that shit. We gotta have the reason. I said, six cameras, Pete wants to have four cameras on each hole. So to on the T, capturing all the interactions, and like the T shots, and then to out in the fairway near the greens. Catch capturing where the ball lands, and then to leapfrogging them that are like ready in position on the next all then they run that system, the whole time. So there's a lot of moving parts and a lot of stuff on top of that. You have to get a course that agrees to this. Right. Of course, has to be. Yeah. You could bring into gigantic production trucks, a million different people cameras, you know, you could down basically, the course of play for a Saturday or a Wednesday or whatever we decide to do that. So there's a lot of bullshit that goes into this, but we want it to be awesome. We wanted to be watchable trying to get top tracer in the mix almost don't know that you can go backwards and watch a serious call thing without it now. So we gotta have kind of that in the mix. So there's a shit ton of stuff going on. We're targeting course in the northeast. I don't know they're going to be able to do spectators most likely not I said this radio yesterday, but when you have spectators, like you gotta feed them. You gotta give them drink if you do that they gotta have places to go to the bathroom. They got to be able to walk over the golf course ninety nine point nine percent. Of course, is just article for that nor do they want that. So even though it would it would really add to the experience to have spectators. I don't know that we're gonna be able to sell tickets now, we might do fifty one hundred people so feels like an old school like nineteen hundred fucking match where you've got, like, at least it looks like people were kind of buzzing around the green, maybe get fifty four play fans fifty chiklis fans, and like the rest of our people there. So it looks like there's one hundred one hundred fifty people will probably do something like that Woolsey. We haven't made up all these citizens, going to depend on the course and all that my next question would be like what other matches what other big matches could foreplay to could we do. And we don't have to answer right now. Maybe people suggest stuff for us, but golf matches, there's a lot there, you know, people I think, really get into, and there's normal people playing golf for something. Right. I will say the only inter squad matches we've ever done as Franken, I've issue and Trent, Bethpage. So we're wanna know there. But thinking through a, a good match that thing running. That's a nice one, but I mean yeah. Daddy, also shaved forty strokes. Well, hopefully we just told him to get a gym. You run into buzzsaw today. Trent daddy's his game off the tee right now. Fuck in. Greg Norman, I'm just I fly right over the terrain now. And then we gotta figure out the rest of it. But that's fine. We're fucking were straight era flying. We're flying. We're fly for the most consistent t when we like to thirty there is like two hundred thirty yard area on every hole. Now we're Trenton has just eliminated like five shops. Right. And it because he just instead of, you know, kind of like blowing his drive a little scanner into the shit and having a hack out for a half hour, just flies overhaul into the fairway amazing much easier as the game is ways easier. When you play at that will never forget the fourth hole at Bethpage was just traumatizing experience for you up the left hand side just amazing amount of training. I was at O'Hare are. Varner had over there. I was like, I know that y'all. Man. I know that game caddied for him that whole I should've I should've hopped out there. I know where it is a couple of mind back here. Oh, yeah. I don't know what matches. We could do. We gotta think some people send stuff in. We've played tons of golf games, we can put a bunch of different things together, but I know. But like that just like I'm trying to think like you know who else can we get involved? I remember really. Really play that blind guy. I don't know want that to happen. We want him to play. This one is probably play golf course. There's the guy was like the best blind golfer in the world, you reach out to us on the show. I'm blank on now anytime you guys wanna talk. Let me on. And then I believe it was Frankie's existed that I should play the blind guy the match. We gotta get that guy on the show because him the black guy against Bush when I was going. The blind guy against Trent's in a real golf match. That's another awesome. When I'm gonna write that down on my notes blind. Jeremy points net person. Offer my money's on versus Trent. What's his name travel? My name's Trent blind graph champion on. Oh, really? I'm on Trent. Daddy, man. He's so consistent. Good as the blind off the guy. I mean, what's he shoot? And I, I, I haven't really swing. I know that also what are the rules can his caddy's lined him right up? He asked to be. That's crazy. I'm just curious. I think we got a separate room. He's allowed to get set up because he wants. That's over the guy steps what he can't see any often. Trent gets point. Right. Well, no, that's, that's I think you definitely. I don't think he ever said it was unfair. I just was making sure that we set the ground rules when we eventually had this guy on. We'll, we'll hammer out the controversial AD. We'll translate. Whoa. Whoa, whoa. Whoa rule. Book at eighty two dash one states that the caddy can't light up the player. We're all like, well, Trump. I mean he's blind like he can't see him so Kat. It's gotta hell. You're right. You're right help. We've got a hammer all that out. I gotta be honest he needs. He's Coty is going to be huge that batch time. Huge one of the bigger parts of the match definitely huge. He's got a really trust that guy. I mean Trent or Trent Kat. No Trent Ghana doesn't looked at Frankie wants this whole show at Spyglass fucking Trenton rigs. His caddy Trent. On a huge putt, like, maybe winning putting all equal. You'll have saying he was like he goes screws left scoops left. Scoots left. Made the button. What, what the fuck just happened? I. Yeah. I was like, I'm inept. But I, I can do this. We don't want to do this. That's illegal. We don't fuck that we had to have a conversation with him. We had to say, hey, man, like you have to let's play the games Hughes. He just wouldn't. He also standard over, like a one thirty shot seven area, whatever. And he's like, okay. Trenton that scooter little, left, skua, left now, slide, those hands a little forward. Okay. Another inch for inch Ford, open that face. All right now, ready take it back. We like why Can man? you just like this is a lot of play the game. We appreciate that now. We had to we had to say something, but I was wondering, I mean from like your side rigs, like I would that would be annoying. But from Trent side, did you appreciate or you hate it? No one on the planet didn't want it. I didn't want it. Okay, just making sure things are going at wells. That could be going. Just let me I know it looks like shit, and it's ugly. Probably not going to do all that great, but I'd rather do myself, you're not gonna terming screen also had he also had an incident where and it's pretty commonplace. Right. When you go to the snack shop or something you grab something for the caddy. It's like man, you want something? But you instigate that right. Like the player instigates that we, you know, two or three holes in, we order around pink Whitney's. We're getting a couple of cocktails, and we ought over, like like L, we'll do four pick Whitney's and he goes only four and we were like. All right. We'll do five Whitney's. So we do that. You know, we, we give them a drink like problem whatever. And we're again, at this point like Whitney and made a birdie. And then we come back, Trent daddy made, like a really nice par- net, net birdie surveys, kind of a good mood. It's a beautiful morning playing by whatever we'll start to heat up and get really intense and after the twelfth hole or something we get another round of drinks. And at this point like Whitney buys this round and he's like, hey I'm gonna buy a couple extra. But don't I'm not trying to buy for the caddy like it's just like get our own drinks here. You know, I'm sick. Yeah. No problem. So he's so sure enough throw. The drinks are catty comes roll it up after he got up the fairway. And he, he really like, leans his big old head into gardening points to one of the drinks and goes that one for me. And I just go no. He's like, okay. And then I grabbed that want to drink. And there's another one sitting in there and he leans back in and goes. No, I meant is this one for me. And I was like, no. Is it for Trent? And I just wasn't drinking. So I had to lie go. Yes. And then he's like, okay, and he backs away. The Trent had fake trinket as a whole as, as we're going on the fairway. I was this. Oh, this is so good. This is this is. He's pig. Whitney's. Possible bump there. And then we had to smooth transition where I like crushed by it over there. And had Trent. Gimme the other one he was drinking. It was a whole seat quite a scene. It was a whole goddamn seen. But anyways that that match that video will be coming out the Whitney match is going to happen. We will announce all the updates on that when they when we get them, we know more information, a lot of people ask about that. Are.

"You know, nothing comes for free, so you have to earn everything you do. And I really feel like I I heard that last week. And, you know, that's something I, I look forward to teaching jacks, my son and my girls when they come is, you know, nothing in this world give it to you have to everything you do. And that makes the process and the journey even more special because we've been talking about participation trophies a little bit today, Gary before you joined. So there won't be any, though. There wasn't any of those in the woodland household. It's what you're saying. No, there was definitely no no law that one will same up there. If I didn't win I didn't get, I think my dad didn't talk for about two days, after I beat them. I was there was no cell phones back, then I was calling him my grandma and telling everybody my dad his who's lying to me every time when I was a kid was there, any more moons before you beat me on. And once I beat him those, those moons were there. So it was pretty special. Well before I let you go here. Ga-. Jerry. I've got here. My my, my crack crew has unearthed from the media guide. I believe at Washburn, university, two thousand to two thousand three there you are. Gary woodland freshman guard. Nice haircut right there. Number twenty three. It was that was that for Jordan, number twenty three. Yeah. I mean, I grew up when Jordan was the bowl. No, no, India team close to us in Kansas. So the bulls were as close as the gut so everybody was short fan. Okay. So they also down right side have some of your favorites. They call them tip ins, I guess that's a nice nice phrase for college media guide for basketball. I'd love to know if these if some of these favorites from back in two thousand to two thousand three are still your favorites. If you don't mind. Okay, your favorite food ribs. Yes or no? I would say steak, but rips definitely up there. Okay. Movie he got game is that still your favourite now. I mean it's, it's, you know, these are all still there, but, you know, probably topgun gladiator, okay? Top gun. Interesting, right. All right. Okay. Music Garth Brooks, is that still your favorite Garth Brooks. Yeah. Pick for Finn. I do listen to everything else, but big fan growing up. Well, top sports moment is changed. I know that from winning state championships. That's that we could we could. We could change that one sports team Indianapolis Colts professional sports. I would go big Peyton Manning fan. I it's funny. I'm I'm achieve fan how Patrick Mahomes persuaded me in me over, but bitchy staff. What do you mean? Mahomes, personally has lobbied, you is that what you're saying, not just as play six, obviously, when Payton retired, it was hard growing up in Kansas City Chiefs fan, but I'm gonna die hard fan, but he's at Tennessee, when he went to the colts, I became a coal to when you went to Denver. It was a little harder to root for being in Kansas. I didn't go over very well. So when he fishery retired my friends and family persuaded me to I needed to be cheese fan growing house. So now I see Mahomes the way he played last year is now. Oh, yeah. Plenty back pulled you back in. All right. Last to here. Favourite TV show, ESPN. Yeah, a big sports guy. I don't watch a lot of TV when I do I'm catching up on his fan. Okay. So sportscenter from back in the day, is what you're saying for. Sure. Okay. So then favorite sports announcer. Chris berman. Gary. That change taken over. Sorry. I love you. You know what this the name of this show?.

"I mean, baseball's different in the fact Jacob that it's every ballpark has its own dimensions. And it's wacked out. I mean it it's not rectangular like hockey or basketball or football, and it's the only sport Jacob where defense the defense has possession of the ball. So there's really very you can't make any comparisons. But the only one I would say it's not like it's, it's, it's not spatial where it's like he can't have eight guys in the box. Let's figure what the boxes and spread you out. But you move them back off the line. That's the only thing that I would say is quivalent, okay. But in that same argument. Baseball is obviously not a physical sport. Where the other the defense can physically grad, you and keep you from doing what you're trying to do. Okay. So in, in the same analogy, you're using which you advocate the NFL. L telling, you know, like you use the analogy with wide receivers, and then backing giving them a five yard box. Yes. Would you advocate and telling linebackers, okay? You have to be ten yards off the line of scrimmage, and in this certain air, you can only be in DC certain places at the start of a play. So in order for the offense to be more successful. Know what I'm talking about basically telling in baseball. Okay. You can only put defenses defenders in certain positions in order to try and stop them. You know, I in my in my view legislating is a bad way. I just think what you need these hitters just need to figure out better ways to beat the shift Jacob, thanks. The call. Excellent. Chet callback house. A nice little volley who've crossed the net and back and forth, rather little serve and volley from Jacob in Fort Worth. Look, if you tell linebackers you can't be anywhere within ten yards of the line of scrimmage, then what will offense is do they'll take advantage of that spot if you bring them off the you can't be any further back than ten yards off the line of scrimmage than what will they do. They'll take advantage of that spot. But both of those instances are, are within the mindset of what a defense looks like. That doesn't look to me what a defense looks like. And when they're these issues other sports talking about football, here they'll change the rules. Guess what happened when the patriots had their hands all over the culture Cevers for all those years in the playoffs? Bill Polian change the rules. He got the rules changes when your favorite pen, so now football is better and more fun to watch. This is not fun to watch. We're talking about two different things here. This is also about the future of the game. Okay. Baseball is a regional sport with issues of growth and getting into a younger generation the demographic of people who love baseball is all older. That's common knowledge. Okay. And we're talking about this is not the future of baseball. This is not what the future of baseball looks like plus in terms of what you wanna talk about growing of what the future is again. I'm telling my eight year old my ten year old go go play third base. They run to the base. That's called third base. I take him to a game. Dad was third baseman in right field. It's confusing. It's odd. It's odd and I don't think there's any comparison between baseball and football, baseball and basketball baseball, and hockey. Yes, you can make an equivalence in terms of rule changes. Everybody's got rule changes and again, coming up after we talked to Gary woodland, I'm going to have the floor. You're going to be out river on and I'm going to I'm going to practice. What I'm saying later on today when I have the floor at the NFL media groups pose him with Al head of NFL reps on stage, but. That's the apples to apples. Yes. They're rule changes in every sport. But you can't make the apples to apples comparison of what this shift type change om. Advocating a baseball would look like any of the sport. Baseball's set up where the defense has the ball. Right. It's that simple. And they're all the comparisons to others, which is why when one is the NFL going to make a change that helps the defense. Well, first of all having offensive pass interference be reviewed this year..

"We're going to talk to Gary, woodland one a little term called the United States. Opening a little course. Nice little nice. Little nook on the Monterey peninsula called Pebble Beach effort of it. Have you ever been at Pebble Beach? No amazing. Not only is the Monterey peninsula is beautiful, but Pebble Beach in particular, is everything that you some of the shots that FOX had of the US open. I don't know what they were using. Maybe it was a drone or something. Can't be a helicopter right? There was they were using some drones off. Unbelievable like she can see the bluffs and then you get the players on the bluffs. And then you'd see like people throwing a football around on the beach beach. That's right off the one hole. There is amazing. By the way, we off, Susan. I went with Susan. I went there. About six eight weeks before Zander, our oldest was born. So this isn't blue over ten years ago, and we brought Hudson, you know, our, our may he rest in peace late rescue dog. And by the way, I'll say this on the air, Sarah, and you Chris gave a beautiful gift for my fiftieth, some sort of drawing of Hudson that Sarah found somebody who does this on Oetzi. We ask go through your Instagram feed, a great picture of Hudson. So amazing by the reason why bring it up as we brought Hudson to pebble 'cause Monterey peninsula is one of the dog friendliest places on earth. There are there are you'll love this. Chris anything, there are dogs, sections, and non dog sections of restaurants. At least there were about ten yeah. Where you there's a section of the restaurant where you bring your dog, and they want you to bring your correct. That's correct. And so we went there and we stayed at pebble in Hudson would be just chilling out in front of the fire at Pebble Beach in the in the, the lodge. They're unbelievable beautiful spot. Gary woodland. I mean you want. I mean if you want to choose a spot to win it. Your first major, right? You're going to want it. You obviously Augusta's first. Right. Right. And then Saint Andrew, Saint Andrews sawgrass Saugus Saugus a beautiful spot. But I mean I'm talking about. Mean sawgrass is a great spot. It's icon IQ for the for the island green. But I'm you Pebble Beach pebbles up there. Riviera's not another bad, one here in Los Angeles. Oakmont right Marian those types of places at the old real iconic courses. So congrats to Gary will, and what a story he had to on Father's Day as his dad from what I. Heard about read about his father when he was earning his tour card ten years ago. His dad coated in Arizona had a heart attack in his heart stopped beating for three minutes. Right was brought back to life and there, he was watching his son with his mom when the US open on Father's Day at Pebble Beach, where he earned historic card. Come on. Good stuff, and everything I've heard about guarantees such a great guy to former basketball player guy from right in the heartland of the country. Look forward to chatting with him we had Daniel Jones on last hour of the giants. It was good chatting with him. I thought he sounded just like ally. He said, and he's never been told that he's pick. He's done a lot of his mannerisms. It seems like his personality is the same. They're similar David cut cliff. You know, they're all he's, he's Payton's, quarterbacks coach from back in the day, Tennessee. It just makes it seem like they're just going to be a seamless transition between ally. And Daniel Jones, the question is, when is when and then the question is, is it will be seamless in terms of personality?.

And I'm gonna guess this is probably five or six years ago and didn't really know him spend some time with him and I followed him but he didn't win and, you know, so you're watching him. And I think there's some teams that would be interested in that number four pick you don't want. Here's another thing that I. I was reading about New Orleans. They may take a flyer with Bradley Beal, and see if they could bring him. Now, if you bring in Bradley Beal, with ball Ingram Zaylon I got holiday. All right. I'm interesting here. You're already interesting because you got Zion, you're on the basketball map, then all of a sudden you become competitive. But if I'm the Lakers, Bradley Beal is the player that I would want. I don't know if you can get him but Bradley Beal would be ideal and that was the player I thought last year that they should have gone after because now you have a shooter and he's one of the great shooters in the game with LeBron but New Orleans isn't done yet. Golden State is not done either. I we'll take a break your phone calls coming up in the Josh mccown game..
