Should we re-think who gets the vaccine first?

"So the vaccines are coming as we keep saying and we keep hearing but one of the big discussion points. This week is who should get it first. So we've talked about this before we've talked about high risk groups like elderly people. 'cause they're at high risk of severe disease being at the front of the queue and healthcare workers because they have a high likelihood of both catching it and also spreading it. The obvious ones but there's been arguments that teachers should be given priority treatment and supermarket workers because they are frontline workers. And maybe we should also consider giving it to people who work in quarantine hotels transport because they've been spread as in the past when we have a limited supply of the vaccine. Straight up. norman. Who should be at the front of that queue. It's hard to argue with the priorities. The federal government's put out and in fact hotel quarantine workers boorda workers people dealing with people come from overseas drivers. They are actually at the front of the queue and they need to be because they are our first line of defense and they're also the most vulnerable so they need to be protected and if the vaccines dupe prevent transmission they will also be a ring of defense so that they will kind of if they do get infected they will resist infection not spread it into the community so they are very much early recipients of the vaccine the vaccine healthcare workers are hard to argue with particularly in aged care as our feel elderly care because they are extremely vulnerable to serious illness. So again it's hard to argue with that you've really gotta go for care and protection and saving lives and saving severe disease as your first priority and also if possible preventing transmission the community and remember h. Care has been a transmission point as well once it gets into each care. And they've been focused of clusters so then. The debate is a perfectly reasonable one who dealing with say young kids teachers and others of the front lines such as supermarket workers. You can argue that too on the basis of protection now. There is another argument here. Once you've covered the people who are most vulnerable whether in fact by then you'll know more about reduce transmission and whether you should switch tack because in fact if you really wanna reduce transmission in the community you need to immunize people who are at most risk of infection and those are not the elderly. The people who are at risk of infection are the younger people in the community because they know my bow their more mobile how they're out there the socially mixing and so you'd head off for people aged over eighteen and under sixty five and they might become your higher priority because if they are protected from infection they will van protect the people and that's true hair immunity. And then you away at that so that would require a bit of a radical change in approach and an assumption that you're reducing transmission but it should be more information coming in from the towns of moves. People who've been immunized overseas is already some evidence from israel reduce transmission but again in israel. The haven't yet moved into those age groups so you can't really tell but by the time we get there we might be in a position to say let's pivot and will actually go really go hell for leather for young people so we know that in australia with getting two different types of vaccine mckenna smallest supply of the fayza shot and then a lot of the oxford astrazeneca shot which has been a source of debate in australia. Because there's different efficacy between those two vaccines. And we've actually had a question about that from one about isreaeli karenna costa's gary who lives on a kibbutz and gary makes the point in agriculture. When we give treatment against pests or does as a good farmer does not repeat the same treatment twice in the same season. You should use different products different methods to attack the same disease or pest and he's wondering whether the same would bear out with a vaccine. Well if we move away from the mango and avocado plantations on an israeli boots towards vaccines. The reality with a vaccine. Is that almost all if not all at this. Stage have been designed based on the wuhan version of the corona virus from almost a year ago. So it's a good question but the reality is that changing vaccines not going to change the target. The target is despite protein from wuhan virus. It may be as time goes on and particularly with the worry about the south african variant of the virus that you might be getting code anti escape or antibody escape and you might need to redesign the vaccine with a new spike protein. In which case. Probably the fis are and moderna. Vaccines are going to be more flexible to do that. And they say we can do that within six weeks so it's not much it's not so much by varying the vaccine technology because the vaccines are all targeting. The same part of the virus

Hitman 3 Review Round-Up

"Hitman three reviews are and the embargo has lifted. As i let you know. I love you eco. Exo right now has our impressions of roger corner here from kinda funny is already beaten hitman and then it was me and bless you talking about our initial impressions in review so far but the metacritic as it stands which were not and of course is at eighty eight. This is as eight or nine. Am this morning Games beat gave five out of five. Jeffey grub grub rights hitman works because developer iowa interactive bills the games as predictable and rigid machines and as players. We control the key to this machine in asian. Forty-seven io's job is to make sure that when players insert forty seven into this massive cogs moving parts that other parts of the machine awaken in present new opportunities for creativity hitman three in particular works because this machine is more intricate and fund to explore than ever thanks to its incredible levels overnight over an idea dot com luke riley gave it a nine point zero and wrote rich will warning in highly reliable. Hit man three is a superb installment of i os idiosyncratic and much but much love style series. The fundamentals haven't changed since two thousand sixteen but it's collection of outstanding maps for a refined reliable in robust curtain. Closer to the current hitman trilogy. Six maps may sound slim but each one is huge and designed to be played several times over. And even that. It's very unlikely you'll ha- you'll have uncovered all of its creative. It surprising assassination opportunities. There really isn't a week one in the bunch. This barcode butcher has made a lot of appearances over the past twenty years but hitman three is definitely one of his best and then at dual shockers. It got an eight point zero chris. Cornelius rights still the modular nature of each games. Entries means that all three play extremely similarly. Here's of course talk about the them so if you played hitman one or two already you know exactly what you're getting with three there's nothing new or groundbreaking here just honestly though that's perfectly fine for those who like this style of game. As the high quality of level design carries forward. You might not get a wholly original concept or sequel hit ansari. What you will get is the same intricate set of levels. Apply to new areas and concept's whether it's trying to uncover covert operatives in berlin berlin rave or a weaving through the secret passages in dartmoor mansion This these locales and their implementation really are treat. I mean out of jail with game. Play as much as i could have but i certainly loved exploring these areas in plumbing their secrets mr gary widow. What is your history with the hitman. Franchising where are you with hitman. Three my my My history with The hitman series intermittent played the since the very very first hitman gained back in to die. It's a franchise that has has come and gone and has at various different reboots and it seems like re in recent years. It's really coming to. It's the most recent iterations hitman year when they were rolling them out as episodes that was really really popular with people really likes them. I've always tried to get into them. And i've heard something about them just never quite connected with me and i think that's just more to do with that's less to do with the game's not being good games and more to do with him just being somehow like just incompatible with my own tastes gators off you no matter how but i feel i feel like that but not like in a big way is a big disconnect some like. I know. there's a game here that i would really enjoy. If i could just get into it. So i feel like this with this new hitman. Three is the perfect opportunity for me to give it like one more. I'm really gonna try. I'm really going to try to get into. I'm excited about it. I think my wife my About her favorite. Pop the assassin's creed. Games sneaking around us astern people. That's literally all you do so might be it might be hookup as well. I'm very keen to try. I'm also very glad patrick. Click onto the question for me. Hold on because. I think that question might lead into diego's question he wrote into patriots dot com slash. Kind of funny games says hi guys. First time longtime reviews for main three are out and largely positive. My question is simple as someone who never played one of these. Is it worth starting with three or their changes to the mechanics so minimal that maybe i should start with cheaper option of hitman to grabs me from their. Thanks much love. This is a big question. Not just the hitman to the back levels legacy stuff but is hit. Hit me in three a great jumping off point if you've never played before right. This is what you were talking about with club. We and we and we see this every time a big new game series brings out a game right like like one of the most commonly asked questions i've heard in the last year is like where do you start with for example the yakuza games. Many of the right should you. Can you start with like a dragon. You wanna stop zero. Always different ways to get into it. And so i'd every game is different right and every every series is different understand. Why the questions coming from right especially. Since i saw recently that i owe think tweeted something about it. Meant three being the the concluding chapter in a hitman. Trilogy edgy when i when i hear that that makes me a bit nervous like you wouldn't for example to just jump into light. Return of the jet is the first hours from the emerson right. Still be a great movie but a lot of stuff wouldn't make sense and you'd be a bit lost because you know it's picking up story threads been percolating through the previous two films. You would be like who's this guy share. What's going on. And on. I wanna you don't wanna have that feeling but i feel like these days especially we've really games when like years between games. It's it kind of behooves game developers to make sure each new game can function both as the continuation of what's come before legacy players but can also be on boarding can be an entry point for people like you as a game developer or published. You really know helping self if you say oh yeah. This is really only accessible to people who have already played hitman. Because you never gonna grow your your fan vice that what you've got to You you've you've got to have each game be an accessory. An accessible new entry point. And i was very glad to see. Patrick clinic. Asked the same questions anything's into similar position to me intrigued to try. The new one has spent a of time with hitman before. Certainly no up unlike the balaji in the lower. What's happening with like agent. Forty seven's store. I couldn't tell you a single fucking thing about agent forty seven and now he's a ball dude with a barcode on his on the back now and that's nice people is the. Is there much mortar. No probably any of it. But i was very glad to see this morning that apparently a lot of people had replied to patrick and the consensus. Yet you can just jump into say hitman three and whatever problems with like not knowing what's going on so that's what i'm gonna do. I also do have. The hitman wanted to legacy editions. That came whatever deluxe super duper pack. The i got so. I might try those as well but i'm just going to jump into three because that's going to be the one that is most optimized for next gen and like you know it's gonna it's gonna it's gonna have the most valuable learnings from one and two right and i think it's you and me. Gary have a very similar hitman story. Where i remember getting that i hitman. Ips two and bringing it home in popping it. It'd be like oh. This isn't what i thought it was going to be. I thought it was going to be more like a metal gear at the time and so i fell off and so every man. That's come but let's talk specifically about this trilogy hitman one and two i pop on. I usually play the first map in the first couple mission. Maybe i into a couple of maybe one more. And i'm like i get it. I see what this game's doing it's not for me like something about it doesn't click and i'm right there with you of like. I know that there is a game there that i could get into but i've struggled to do it and so hit me three. I m coming in very much. And i've played on part of the review on. Ps i love you so far. I'm three missions into the six maps or whatever so there you go it. Was this idea that i'm playing it. I like it. But i don't and i don't and it's the hold up for me is in the over the you know. There's the individual individual maps with your targets and their intricate plots. And what to do. They're right over over. That is layered this the end of the trilogy story. That's happening right. And i think even for me starting at never having beaten hitman one or two but starting those games they do a great job of like. Here's what's happened in the previous games here. Who's these other two players. You're with our this is what's going on. Go for it.

Report: Philadelphia Eagles are telling head coach candidates they want Carson Wentz back in 2021

"Eagles coaching search. Carson Wentz, how he relates that again for those who missed him. Might Gara follow with a report out today, saying that the Eagles are telling head coaching candidates people they're interviewing that they want to keep Carson ones they want to. Fixed Carson Wentz and that that is a big part of the coaching search. So how do you feel about that? Because Ellie now you're not to use like Are you surprised about it? That's the question. I think we've had so much talk of Will they attach themselves to Carson. Is this actually the route They're going to go? Some people have said Look, they're definitely not trading Carson. The money is too much. If they're telling head coaching, Candace, I think that one aspect you could look at it. Is this getting out because they want to make teams think they're not trading him. But presumably, I know I hate to play guess the source. But if Gary follow is saying they're telling candidates this It seems to be coming from the candidates or from someone who's interviewed, so they have no incentive to hype up the Carson Wentz trade. But you know, who knows? Maybe a candidate went thinking you'd have more of a say Heard that Carson was the guy and let people know like Whoa, They're really gonna do this. No, it Xan interesting situation, to say the least. And that when we saw it coming, I certainly I thought that after how it all went down, regardless what out with Doug? And of course, we all thought it was actually coming back when the season ended exchange quickly around here radio. But even in light of all that it just It felt like to me. There was just Too much too much baggage. It was too far gone the relationship that it would be better for everybody for Carson and physicals, toe move forward separately and change of scenery and all that type of stuff and Well, here's a question me that way. So obviously the Eagles have Carson under contract they control where he will play next year. But I've also said that and we see it no, of all the league's honestly if a player wants out, he finds his way out. I mean, it very rarely do teams make a player stay that does not want to be there, especially at such a critical position like quarterback. If the Eagles are committed to keeping Carson But Carson keeps up that he doesn't want to be here. Like what do they do? Do you forced Carson out? Do you keep him? I mean, I just It puts him in a tough situation because you know you don't your franchise guy to come in here, especially. He's already having locker room problems with the mindset of this guy got the coach. Fire doesn't want to be here and now he's leading the huddle like that's not an ideal situation to

If you just say to lexi lexi tell me when the super bowl is she will do two things. The first thing is she will tell you when this and by the way spoiler on february seventh but then automatically she asks you if you'd like a reminder and if you say yes then she will remind you at that time and you can use that for things like tv show. Air dates holidays That sort of thing so you can actually do a lot of things like that. So remember those keywords. Tell me when and hopefully by remembering those words you can keep your life a little bit more organized. Get some more reminders. Because i knew reminders. These days

"Pop filtering and and that sort of thing but when you were building your studio you probably didn't think oh man. I got to spend a lot of money. To the best of my dear wife would not let me spend a lot of money was like begging just to get this at this is the gatekeeper. But but that's what i would say it's like you get to tell your own story on your terms. You know with the the only confines and boundaries are the one that you set and you don't need to spend a ton of money doing it. You know you can build your own studio and i'm just here somebody who can help you tell you what kind of what you need. Because you don't need a lot of money again. I'm an example of you know i mean you do need some money and depends what you're doing exactly but you don't nowadays. It's consumer pricing for equipment. That can help you. you know. Be an influence or or odd caster and then once you learn how to do it you can do it yourself or you know a lot of people now just they don't have the time you can't make more time in your day so it's like look i'd love to learn this. I'm either not interested. Let's just. I'm just not interested in learning. The lights are learning the kind of microphone. Or how to hit record. Or edit i don't care or i don't have the time. Which is i think most people's issue you can't make more time. People don't have time. And at a time where i think companies thank god are focusing more on their own. Employees work life balance. Which i feel like all the time and through the weekend in super late as a badge of honor. I think that's a joke. I don't think that's a badge of honor. And that's why i love gary v on i'm like man if you're working all hours of the day you know i feel like he's given a speech where he says you know..

"So how'd why like out-of-bounds my time in building a platform versus managing everything around the patient's right. I mean you know it was seven years of major media before there was an ma activity you know so patients putting in the work based on your ambition so you know i don't know you too and i don't want you to burn out but if you have this began bishen 'cause i operate and manage annum gary v right and so so what i say that is i want to know what your twenty four hours look like a really do now down. If you have patience you don't have to burn out right. You know but the way you manage it as more time like for example every day during covid like i'm basically at fourteen hours every minute. No lunch no dinner in front of the computer and you know really you know eight. Am to nine pm right there. Twelve thirteen fourteen or every minute. That's a lot of output in one day. That's thirteen fourteen hours of work. A lot of people who big ambitions when they really ought it. They did this for an hour in the middle of the day. They took care of this personal matter. Like how many hours of output and then if your ambition is big because you're talking big is look you're suppose so young and before you say anything you're so young so you're so young that it's okay to be eight hours but you just need to know that that's going to take fourteen years. Yeah it's net hours. I think we understand the the patient. The patient's component and you know there's just so much that we want to get done. And and i know we have to be patient. I want to do so much to. I think at a time. You know whenever you to so for example. The first thing you do outside the thing you've always known.

"Make you be seen as the expert in the field and whatever field that you're in You can interview other thought leaders in the industry and so their influence kind of rubs off on you when you can say. Hey i've interviewed arianna huffington. I've interviewed gary v. People are like. Oh that's impressive. you must be done to grow job to get them on. And then of course when you're talking about your industry Everything that you talk about is just reinforcing that you really are the expert in the field that you know what you're talking about is you're putting it out there well. It doesn't get any better than that when you interview. People like gary v is all good so bringing that expert status in that equivalents as well which is really great. So i thank you for that. So strictly. Why should people approach podcast from a business perspective. Rather that as a hobby. Because a lotta people for them say hobby well. It can be a lot of fun as a hobby. If that's something that you wanna do it just to have fun with it but again as an entrepreneur it's worth putting time and energy into because again it is marketing. So this is going to grow your. It's going to get you out to new audience can have new people see you. And what's amazing about podcasting versus. Let's say radio or television is on. Television are not only very expensive on took that out there are also broadcast so depending on. What your service or your product is You can't get a very specific. So you put out a radio and you put out a tv ad or something in the whole world sees it and only a very small percentage of people may be interested in your servicing. Your product with a podcast. When you're talking about whatever it is that you do you're going to attract people that are specifically interested in that. Plus it's very intimate. What's great about podcasting is if you are on the radio. And let's say you have a radio show you're still talking to a wide audience. Podcasting we look at it as very intimate in other words when what you and i are doing right now instead of thinking about me being interviewed some huge audience. I look at this. As if you and i are just hanging out having a drink and having a conversation and your listeners are like flies on the wall there just kind of it..

"Podcast of the super nice club where we're just trying to make the world can percent nicer one. Zero percent is not a lot. I'm your host todd. Brilliant and kind of a little humble brag here. We've just past thirty three three three billion with a b. subscribers making this the world's most popular most popular podcast by hundred times it's pretty citing we achieve this in just ten months. So yeah that's that's cool anyway. You know that thing where you have a better looking brother. More famous sister super successful friend and so when people talk to you. You're a little skeptical about whether they want to get to know you or they're just seeing you as a like a back door to that other person you know nothing right. That's today's podcast is about. And if we're being honest it sort of is or at least started out that way until we figured out that our guest this week's guest guest your about to listen to is in fact super nice and beautiful and interesting and wicked sharp all on his own. This week's guest is the super nice. Tyler schmitt tyler has spent years years glued to the hip of gary van or check aka gary v the wildly popular author personality entrepreneur and just inspirational human. That's that's why we ask tyler on the show right. The whole better looking brother thing to get a sneak peek. An inside view of gary v's operations but it turns out tyler condition that yeah but he also has his own take and his own methodologies. They're totally worth your time. So hope you listening. I know for example that i've adjusted my approach to how i view tackle a busy day just after a short talk with tyler. And whether that's tyler's wisdom. Gary visas hard to say i kinda suspect. It's a combination of the two. Either way i'm grateful for the tweak to my approach and i think i know you will be too besides talking about how gary the quote unquote world's busiest man. Gets it all done for. As i said a super insider perspective we get into the pure sweet power of the practice pivot how to move on from failure..

"You can test it out. But my thing is no you don't want to just let people find you magically online. Now the other part of this video that Gary V has and what he's talking about is you want to focus your content around what people are actually going to pay attention to so meeting like don't talk about no interview somebody randomly and I've I say this because I thought Honest mistake I made this mistake before but don't just interview. Somebody randomly that it's completely, you know, just it's just you don't think it's going to be a fit for your audience. You don't know if they're even if it's even relevant of our minds right now. Don't do that stuff. Don't post post post content and expect people to want to listen to you. So you want to always be talking about something that people actually are care about the actually going to pay attention cuz it's relevant to life how would like to simplify that and boy that down just like think about their biggest pain points think about the biggest things they want to move towards more success more money better relationships Better Health better ways to achieve and you know, great results with less time things that are going to help them make their lives better in some form or fashion either monitor off early relationship wise or health-wise is the big three essentially so think about what is it that you're ideal listener actually cares about the actually give a damn about if you said this at how long Do you they would actually perk up their ears and look over at you and say hey, what do you talk about over there? So think about that stuff. That's where you want to focus your content. I think Gary view a spot on with that. I love that tip cuz it's like you sometimes forget about well. What is it that we should talk about on the podcast will Tech know just just talk about what your audience wants to hit here. What do they care about? That's the question. He he proposed and I love that song. So again, I think those are the two biggest things now, obviously, if you're a hobbyist podcast or this may not apply for you. You may have started a podcast because you just wanted to talk about whatever it is.

"Podcast domination show in this episode. You're going to learn my take on whether or not Gary V is right or wrong about podcasting and I've got some real fun tips and also some things that I think he is just probably wrong on and this is my opinion. So in this in the show notes of this episode, you'll find the link to the video that I'm referring to it's about a three long long or two minute long video that he talks about his take on podcast and what it should what people should help people should approach it how they should do it. What should they're like, they're kind of their angle on monetizing it should be off and let me first say this. I love Gary been he's a great dude. I don't agree with everything he says and I don't agree with how he approaches acquiring customers from it and whatnot, but we'll get into that in just a sec. You also going to hear a little bit about what I do think is great and some of the things you definitely listen to him on and why those are just golden nuggets about at least what he said in the video game. Those are some golden nuggets. You should definitely take action on that. So the gist of the video If you haven't watched it already..

"Work? What have you learned in your experience with dealing with the people that you have the pleasure? Of dealing with. What have you learned in gained respect I mean, maybe you've always had respect for all professions all job titles. What have you gained a better appreciation for how has that built up through your life? Of People Who Work? Like some people don't have it I, mean some people as you said, people who have more money, they don't the see-saw going up and down the people don't have it. Some people are bitter, angry, disrespectful and not courteous to any profession that is not theirs. But you don't seem like you're that guy. No. I'm honestly not I think that it's you could shovel shit like good for you. Yup. Absolutely. Free you. You're doing what you need to do. y'All like you'd be a janitor you can be an entrepreneur. I will never judge someone for what they do. It doesn't matter to me. It doesn't matter how much money you make the one thing that matters to me the most. Is that when I look you in the I, I know that what you're telling me is true that you're respectful. That your helpful you're courteous and polite. Some. It doesn't matter if I have Bill Gates beside now. Bright as a matter of. Whoever you WanNa say Gary v Beside me if Gary V's Dick like. I don't know people can see this but like Gary we get out get out. I don't want you around here. I'll rather hanging out with the dude who shovels for a living. Absolutely all enjoy my time better with him. And it's unfortunate that people would see that see the the guy that's. A Dick. And they would rather be with him. Then the person who shovels. Because they gotta look good to whatever their their followers, their family or they wanna try to impress someone or they wanna try to do that and hey, I fall into that trap to sometimes like I'm not perfect. The temptation right that I think showers whether it's money or fame or recognition approval it's the temptation and. It's not going to go away anytime soon. To take a situation you're sitting there like. I don't know if people know gall. So if I'm sitting there and I have. A young kid who knows me and he looks up to me or Tiger Woods is beside me like my attention just naturally going to. Tiger. It's not that unlike rude to the kid is just like that's like God like the Ku it is that you're just naturally going to do that. But like that kid could also be tiger in a few years and like if you treated him the same way, you treated tiger when he gets to that level or if he gets the level, he will remember that forever. And you never know what opportunities he could put you in what he would. Put your kids in like. Stuff comes full circle. I'm just a big believer of that. I'm a big believer of don't judge people by where they.

"You certainly don't want address less than them, because you can rise above that, but why it's too tough. So number six. Straighten up now what I mean by this is posture man. You just don't know how. That communicates. You probably do because you do it. You pick up on it, but you can look at somebody a leader walking in the door. With poor posture they look weak. Weak. They look tired. They look worn out. They look ragged, they look. Lacking in confidence and man that is such a that's. That's a disaster somebody walking in with good posture. I don't I. Don't I'm not talking about a working out. Just standing up straight sitting straight looking awake looking like they had some. Posture is really a huge did there's been research on just the impact of posture in it so subtle? It is so subtle. But you can tell when somebody gets on the week. up and speak that. And we always talk about this about presidents. Presidents start to look old tired and week after they've been in office for a while often times. anyways, there may be some exceptions now, but that. And, it starts to deliver a message of losing their game, so straighten up number seven watcher language now this one I know were in the world that everybody thinks foul language is really really cool thing to do Gary v's out there doing it right, and so there's a whole lot of people especially in the world of entrepreneurs who are trying to be Gary V. as a friend of mine says I'm sick of everybody trying to Gary V. The, but generally speaking. Let me just tell you. Nobody's ever hired anybody because they use that kind of language. Nobody's ever done business with somebody because of it but. People have lost business because of. Gary v May have to, but he's past that now. If you're not then, maybe you should pay attention to it. It's just not cooled. It adds no. In generally speaking I hear people say stuff like that. They'll be in meetings and they'll leave and we'll beal valuating something within and nobody will ever say. I just don't let that guy because he uses foul language with say, he just struck me as unprofessional. That's what they say. What they mean is the way talk, even people who use that language. In meetings don't like other people to use that language in meetings. How Ironic is that? You. Know win out of it so if you're that person saying it and I'm sorry, this may sound sexist is worse when women do it. Because the guys? After the fact, and it's not a pretty statement, so that's just be sexist. If it will, it's just the truth number eight. Keep it short so when people are talking to you, answer succinct quick. And so, what I mean is a lot of times. We get in conversations and we'd just ramble. Especially, we're meeting or something. We don't know what's going on..

I'm not gonNA say do this this this this and this and then because one day what's going to happen is you're not be happy with what you're doing for sure for sure sure exactly and I think that's so powerful because that empowers people to actually learn how to do that process themselves so that when they go through a pivot in their business when when they want to roll out a new program they are not like. Oh my God. What do I charge like they've gone through the process of figuring it out and they can do that again for themselves. Right Gary v says has something that's really cool.
