"This Zach writers t from Kansas City Missouri, and with me I have my favorite co host actor. Kevin. Hair fryer. What is up Kevin. I'm doing great. How are you doing tonight? I'm good. Hey, the browns are winning. It was very exciting a game they normally would have lost. Yeah. Now we're recording on October six, and so we're talking about the gains from this past weekend you're listening to this on October twentieth so That game is passed. Hopefully. The browns are doing better. Chief sir, starting getting money football rough last night, but they still are. Still. undefeated as of October six. So doing great. Yeah. After can START AFC championship. So jeeze yes. Yes Brown. Hey I'd go to that I would go to that. So on October six we lost a legend in rock and roll Ephraim you coming from the rock and Roll Hall of fame we lost a legend with Eddie van Halen. Yes we did today. Were you a big Van Halen fan was that it was that you're kind of tunes I'm not a huge Fan Halen. Fan. But I can appreciate the rock and roll. So while guitarist yeah, he didn't speak to you know. So, he had a very unique style and I can appreciate that but I guess it's probably a style I could never ever ever emulate so. That's too hard for me so. But I do appreciate it and I do appreciate I. Appreciate the guitar work for sure. It's like. They, they had multiple singers. Fronting van Halen over the years Sammy Hagar. Gary Sharon I'm another one that. Your daily course. Yes. Did did you have a favorite song or favorite singer? Any of those things that at least you could get behind I? I was always mesmerized by David Lee Roth his like very sort of amazing to look at and watch a like there are some sort of strange and Rajini going on there that I never completely understood but you know I roll with it. And I do appreciate the Sammy Hagar. So not one of those that would pit one against the other sort of just appreciate it how. I mean it's Cliche. But I love the song jump quite a bit. Cheesy Sammy Hager when that I've always appreciated his you know how do you know when it's love? You know that one that I was though those a cheesy classic that I liked I liked the right now for okay. That's. That's some philosophy there. Now? But. Now yes. I would like to Panama to. Pretty good. I like Panama. So anyway, I also appreciate jump and I have talked about before on air but the cover by camera just makes me laugh. It's an acoustic. You can look that up early put it in the show notes. I also. I remember when jump came out and now was I believe in Undergrad and. there was a guy. In. My dorm named Earl who apparently you know heard the lyrics before we saw all dead. Anyway he would just Speak the lyrics and if you just speak them out that they may just it's funny it's like. They're sort of. I don't know might as well jump you know yeah, might as well jump. Might as well. Well, R.I.P.

"So. Fun, side notes never took guitar lesson. Doesn't know how to read. Music. Just self taught and can crush on the on the guitar. But as I was saying there tends to be a couple of different camps. It doesn't have to be this way, but it's A society we like to argue, and so the band over the years and they were around forever had notably two different. You know frontman starting with David Lee Roth, and then then the Sammy Hagar years and there are some people who are just. Adamant that one is better than the other and then of course, I know there are those of you and I saw on facebook like, Hey, they're both good. You don't have to choose one. Well, there's only thing that they agree on is that Gary Sharon era van Halen should be forgotten because there was one more lead singer but nobody talks about that era, of Halen, except for you I feel right But there's so first of all if you don't follow us on Instagram, we have put up a what I'm going to refer to as a poll and you can let your voice heard you know if this sort of discussion is one that gets your blood boiling. Then go ahead and vote. You've heard everybody's talking about it vote and this is what they were talking about voting on our instagram page about whether it's Van Hagar or the David Lee Roth years it looks like you're getting trounced by the way. Do. You have? Do you have a favorite? Van Halen Song. Yes is one..

"That's a first song I ever got to see Van Halen play that weren't even on a record yet. That amazing, long time you know, they had three different lead singers. During the band's run. Yeah, who was the third cause I know the first two. But I don't know the little way. David Lee Roth. And then there was a call that Van Hagar for a while. Sammy was in there. But Sami's is a Is a volatile person and always You know one of the guys when you're around him. He's always the boss and he's always got you know, you got to do it his way kind of thing. And and that just didn't go with with Eddie. But they got along for a while and finally got a big argument and Sammy left. I mean, he's talented, but he's just a tough guy to deal with. And then they remember that song more than words. A real slow ballad Beautiful. Sure, more than words. Gary Sharon was the lead singer for that was really a rock and roll band. That was hell. There's funny because that was the song. Everybody know them by, but it was not the music that they usually played. So Gary Sharon was the lead singer for a while with Van Halen. I think they did one album with them, and then And then Here comes David again. David Lee Roth came back for a while. Yeah, Like I said, That was he had gotten a little bit. I don't know what has nothing to do with your age, because look at so many people who can still saying Mick Jagger can still say Dennis Dennis. The young hee. So gotta perfect voice, But for some reason, I guess David didn't take care of his voice. Or just maybe his metabolism the way he used it, You know? Yeah, I think that's a big part of it. Like we said, if you want to hit us up on the Facebook talk about Your experience Your love for Van Halen, Rochelle Tremblay says he provided the soundtrack from my teenage years. Extraordinary talent. My heart is broken for Wolfie and the entire Van Halen family. And Andrea Wallace said. I wasn't really into Van Halen. I didn't care much for David Lee Roth, but it's so sad to hear about Eddie's passing. What a great guitarist rest in rock and roll heaven. Then I got a Bart lost radar. Lusk Wardo, he says there'll never be another e V H r I P And a lot of people are checking in this morning requesting songs in that kind of thing. Which is nice. You know, it's just And then there's late news. This is not unusual when you're dealing with they cancer that Eddie Van Halen was dealing with, They say in the last hours of his life, the doctors found the lung cancer. Head spread. First they had the throat cancer and it spread to his lungs. He was a smoker and to his brain as well. And other organs in the last 72 hours. Sunday wasn't much they could do what much they could do for him. 7 36. Nexus.

"Sent me a great A great tweet of it I should I should really re tweet that but the people at voice were doing backflips. They were so excited that the somebody actually used it and and had the results that they claim. So they ago. If you're trying to start your own business. All right. Back to the PODCAST. What else happened? I'll the red sox the red sox had a fire sale. I love it. I gotTa tell you this. I absolutely. Love it. Okay. And I'm just equating the red SOx basically to van Halen. Basically what we had David Lee. Roth everything was great. Two thousand four maybe two, thousand, seven after we won the second one that's like. Two thousand, four to two, thousand seven. That was like Van Halen one all away to nineteen eighty-four. and. Then what happened Tito left David Lee left. In that, we got Sammy Hager. Now, we just dumped all the players. So that's to me is like Sammy Hagar and Michael Anthony Art in the band anymore, and now we got Gary Sharon now Gary Sharon. I don't know what to tell you. All I. can tell you this is what I love about this. What I love about my own team. Just shit in the bed that they do is I love the empty seats I. Love It. I Love Seeing all the Bandwagon Go home like the bandwagon pussies than I knew you were You weren't there when we stopped. You showed up when started getting good and you wrote it out like all those fucking who fill up the stadium. Now, every time the Patriots play a game where the fuck where you back when we had that Shitty stadium with the aluminum seats, where were you? you know where he was sitting at all. Driven hot cocoa with you fucking slippers on. You know and I know a lot of people right now are probably going to be going back. To the fucking suck fuck you. All right look at your own goddamn stated you want to see what your fan base says. If you really want to see the true fan base of your team, go to a game when they suck on any level hockey basketball baseball football rugby fucking tiddlywinks whatever it is when you're team sucks and the people that go those are the diehards. I can't believe this already empty to fenway park up to everything that that teams done for that city. Okay what we're only eleven months in they've had an eleven month bad run. I was back there in Boston. All these fucking people crying pissing and moaning bunch of, fucking babies. You what the greatest thing about the bandwagon people leaving is I i. think it ups the chance of that stupid song to be discontinued during the seventh inning stretch. Is there any way we can sell that song to the dodgers to? Is there any anyway? We could just get rid of that sweet care will lie. You know if I was a dictator and I was looking to trim down the population. I would play that. Song. In the Public Square, with the banner of my face, you know all around it. And I would play that sang along. That would be the black van would show up to your fucking house and you would be you would be. You would be. Automatically signed up for my re educational program. which basically involves your sculpt being used as a fucking. Lamp posts. Sorry that's lamp shade. What am I trying to say footstool, EGO So. I'm actually excited. I think it's a great fucking thing. I think it's great for the red SOx Yankees rivalry. Red. SOX, suck. So much that they now now they don't have fucking amp up that the the face each other, and then that can just you know back off for a little bit. And then maybe in a couple of years, it gets good again, you know as opposed to be like there are meeting again. Twenty seven times this year. Two. Hundred million versa, hundred and eighty, who gives a fuck it's over. So I WANNA. Thank the Red Sox. For fucking back to like all the way from nineteen, ninety, nine on I. Haven't had a fucking problem. You guys fucking an absolute joy to watch you play. All right. It's been fucking great, and now you're going through the rough times. and. I'm still going to watch I can't fuck in way to watch whatever the fuck is left to this tape playing September. You. Now I don't know why. Can you can you people Boston do me a favor? Can you guys can? Can we start a movement to start booing? That fucking song during the seventh inning stretch. Can somebody start a website. Could somebody okay. I'm late in the match somebody to get the gas. Let's just let's just go for. A total clean slate here. All right. Start. Over again for some reason, bobby sticking with Bobby V.. I don't know why if for some reason the more he goes out yells umpires I'm actually starting to like the guy. All right. So he's on hold but can we can we just get rid of that? fucking. Song. One of the great things I used to tease Yankee. Fans about was the fact that they sang Ymca during the seventh inning stretch. Okay. I never understood why they did it..

"That one was really good was okay. Who's that other guy? Cried Todd Rundgren. Yeah, Yeah. Todd Rundgren. Isn't that his name, But there's a Todd Rundgren. Yeah. Is that whose name Todd Rundgren Tze, the guy who was the other lead singer. Any wronger has never been a lead singer of Inhaling Are You sure 100 positive. I know the lead singers of Ah, I think new Know Betancourt was one of them. But I don't know. Todd Rundgren has never been a Van Halen. Who is he? He's a He's got a helo. It's me song that you'd recognize it, Lou. It's me. I think we used it in the Jacob Jukebox. Jeff who's the other Who's the other Van Halen? ISS? It's David Lee Roth. And then there were Sammy Hagar. And then there was what Gary Sharon from all I think. Yeah, I must be thinking of Gary's. From least I don't need a Bengal by row. Nailed it. It's It's early man. Gotta live alone. Who are you? George. Hi, George. What's going on. You tell me big guy You called. I like it better if you all blue conked together like a choir of the final. Yeah, That's a pretty good idea. A really good idea. I need to get my hands on a conk. You don't run into a lot these days, especially in the cove. It era. I think the conch sales have been hit the hardest of all the molluscs. Our Khan smallest. You just gotta run. He's I mean that that served us the best way to do it. You get your point out. We enjoyed it and then get out before it could go wrong. I hope I got that right by the way. Hope the conch is a mollusc. I'm looking up. Whether it's a conch is a sea snail. And it is, um, Alaska in the filing division, so it's not a crustacean. You know, you gotta live alone. Who are you? When something new every day? Crustaceans or crabs and on And what else? What, Mr Crawfish man like that You like crawfish water? I I do it bugs, I I order them like if I'm gonna place, one of these crab place is going to be popping up everywhere. If I'm if I'm there, I will get I will get to cry in my in my boil My dad when he was a software consultant would have gigs where you have to stay someplace for, like a month sometimes too much. So he was two months in Orleans, and when he came back, he brought these garbage bags full of season crawfish, and I remember those things. It feels like those things sat around for years. They didn't I know, but it just feels like for days, if not weeks after that. Any time you want to snack my mom would like, eat some of the crawfish. So you lead them. Yeah, but I won't. I don't think I've had three since. I mean, I'm not like a crawfish at you, faII or it's in something. But I haven't sucked the head and squeezed the tail since I was a little kid, And I blamed my mom and dad for that. I love you, Mom and Dad. Don't get me wrong. But that was that was too much cross for anyone, kid. Well, what I mean, really, when you look at it when you pull the little tail, and it looks like a little baby lobster tail, baby, a little baby baby baby lobster, and then you gotta suck those tiny, tiny tiny Is in the inner city. That's fine. Is it fun? Well, I mean, it's speculated that to you. Yeah, actually, I would love that to Shea. Yeah, but like over here at this, Mr and Mrs Crabb, which I like their seasoning is so strong and so good that when you suck that head you're really just getting like Season, he goodness, but it sees any goodness of brains and stuff's fine innards. And what hope thinking that Well, what's the difference between your okay? You eat? No. You eat a steak, and you're like, Oh, you're eating the thigh of a cast different the thighs differently in the brain of a rat, really freeing organs. I mean, what about liver? No, Rose. I lied it all. I mean, look, if it's well seasoned or whatever, and you're not thinking about it, then, sure why bio means chop it down. But this a thought of it is really what does not appeal to me. My job was having another Friday got a teaching writing, too big operator that would have been in my shop. Sensible man. It's been a It's been a minute based. A lot has happened in this country since we talked to you on bail with a respiration. I don't I don't want to get off on a sore subject. But I heard you had an unfortunate run in with the protesters that tried to break into your garage. It always out of a Studebaker called Old over. You know, I got a little thing going on town. I just figured today's there. Uh, you know, I met Well, Yeah, well, you know, I thought you could get away with certain things while the character I don't think so. Took me right out of your nose. I.

"Okay. It's Eddie Trunk and you are listening to the Eddie Trunk podcast. Thank you for doing so as I mentioned this week to interview for you coming up a little bit later on Gary Sharon talking extreme talking Van. Halen and more from the monsters of rock cruise up right now though to kick us off a conversation. That's about a week and a half old with Bret. Michaels talking about a headline date for poison in Tulsa and talking about a bunch of other stuff. It's always great to visit with Brent. Let's get into it right now. Enjoy how are you brother? Andy my friend I am doing awesome and yes. We are going to make that happen. We've got plenty of plenty of true stories to swap Dow true and maybe some slightly embellish. But who's WHO's paying attention. No We'd have under you know what I'm saying. How you how you feeling? How's your health? You Okay I feel great. I feel great. I'm glad to be on the phone talking with you. And all is good again. Just I know we talked about it once before excited about the the the poison tour and the stadium tore and you know and again all the solo dates. We've been out on those since the beginning of the year and like I said feeling I take it a day time You know I'm feeling healthy and ready to rock and the thing with that skin cancer that we heard about. That's all good. You're all good with that at the moment absolutely and I just went back in What happened was it was. It's I'm a guy. Admit IT I. I like being out in the Sun. I like having a great time. I usually feel them. You know I do the right thing and spraying protect. But sometimes it's not gonNA stop it and It happened and we thought we ought it and it and then it when it came back took it to another level got whole scary for a moment but all is always great. All right good. Good good I hate to have to bring up health stuff every time I talk to you but I care about I love you WanNa make sure you're okay. Thank you and I love you back in the same like I said I just you know the thing is Eddie and I say this all the time when you're out there like I'm one of those guys them hands on them living doing it and with it just comes you know all the years of again. As WE TALK. Zillion times about being a diabetic. You know again as best as you take care of your healthier just GonNa things are just going to happen and just you just keep on keeping on walking in and here to to have another again. Another great torn another another great year. Hey you know I talk to you. The there's a poison headline show that was announced. I WanNa hit you with and when you were on talking about the stadium tour. It was very brief. Because I remember you were in we. We were both in La and you were at the set of. Was it modern family or what? I didn't know what was going on. It was insanity we were just leaving and I saw everybody. We went down for a couple of the table. Reads everyone down. There was unbelievably great and Eric Stonestreet. who plays cam is from Kansas City. And we've talked a zillion times about shows. He's a musician he plays drums. He's great and just as we started to speak. He was knocking on the window in the car knocking on the window. I'm talking to him windows down. Then everyone from the cast came out and it just all happened at once and trying to say. I love you super excited about the stadium tour with DEF Leppard Motley and Joan and and again all original poison. Cc Bobby Ricky myself and I. It's going to be incredible. The thing has been selling out everywhere and we're bringing it for the fans I mean that's that is a monster day hits it really is and you know you and I just wanted to get a little more from that from you because like I said we had such limited time last time I spoke to you but it was one of the really cool things about it is not just the lineup. But you reference this you guys are all original. Motley's all original and Leopard is about is all original as they can really be that. That's incredibly unique. And of course Joan Joan that is incredibly unique in today's world for any bands from any era. You're actually seeing the bands that made the music for the most part one million percent and and again for me like I said I'm not just up there as a musician playing and I know you know this I hit that stage and my my adrenaline Mike. Citing and my energy is real. Like I'm I'm grateful to be doing what I love to do. And that energy is real but be able to see Motley all original to see depth leopard to me like you said as originally it can be and they're great songs and Joan We we played with Joan on several dates and concerts and festivals And she's she's incredible and and to see that in this day and age is unbelievable. And then you're really looking at the real deal not only the the music the songs direction looking at the people that wrote and created them. And there's another thing and I don't even know how much you know about this Brett but I'll mention it. There's another component of this tour. That's really cool. In the sense that there is a fifth act on it and it's a younger up and coming artists who I got his record and I had him on this show a week or two ago. It's really good. A guy named Tuck Smith who's going to go on you know extremely early but for people that get there early. That's a nice component of this. Because you've got all of these sort of more classic based artists and all these big names but then there's also a shot give into a young up and coming guy on the bill as well for some fresh blood in there. I think that was a really nice addition one million percent. And you're talking about Chuck Smith Not Great and I WANNA say this I believe we have a couple of people that are friends of ours in the band including drummer and I already have welcomed them. I said anything you guys need. When you're out on the road anything we can help with or whatever. Let us know and this is what it's supposed to be. I say this every time that we talk you gotTa keep paying it forward and other words. This is what makes. Rox So great. You can have the classics you can. You can have a long career. Still Keep it relevant. That always pay four with new bands. I know last time we talked with the mass confusion. The the you know we're talking about the struts Bringing some great music. There's a band dirty honey unbelievable. And just I'm saying jus- keeps on keeping on and that's what you want and I think them being out on the bill they're gonna add an incredible early when people are. They're they're going to be rocking with them and then. Joan Ourselves Motley DEF LEPPARD. It's a that's a good day. Can you give the audience? An example of something that comes to mind for you when you start out in your career when poison was a young act and you're young guy starting that an act that really did something really Nice. That took you under wing. That really helped you out gave you. Some advice was really good to you on the road. When you guys had nothing to something come to mind for you absolutely and and this is going back to the very beginning of our career. When I'm talking about as poisoned when I say we truly live this I know people righted or they think of how to say. Oh we lived here in a you know behind this building. We truly lived in the back half of a dry cleaner on the floor. You know the sleeping bags music year. We did odd jobs to make ends meet to get insulin. Literally and one of the first big breaks we truly had Was with rat and they they had taken us out. We were just starting to break in our independent. Look what the cat dragged in record and it was amazing. Truly amazing we. We went out there we rock and they gave us a chance to go out and tour and then I remember starting our first arena date with them although we'd had other dates with other bands. One off dates. You know what I mean. We were out with whitesnake out with wine tea but rant was truly the first band to give us that break in there all original lineup. When we started in Beaumont Texas edible say at all I walked into soundcheck and it was rat. I believe cheap trick than us. We were third on the bill and the second I walked in the building. We were talking about the load. Our gear on stage and a guy went into diabetic. Insulin shock and passed out in front of us in the chairs and this is no lie. I literally knew what was going on. I walked out the paramedic. Obviously I don't you know I don't want to supersede paramedics but I'm like listen. His blood sugar is meg alot We gotta get him right and it was. How IRONIC IS? That's how my career started Boll Mile. Exocet the arena. Wow that is too much but those guys were good to you. They were they gave you be treated you our great and that resonates that you carry that with you when you. I'm sure when you went on to have success yourself just like you're saying in a situation like this you're talking to the guy who's you know the young guy opening the whole thing up that you know that pay it. Forward stuff is important in this business. I think especially for this to with me and either solo or with poison. I've gone in that every Bam we play with. I leave a paper plate on the door with a welcome to the thing and whatever they're drinking or doing and I always do this I always it is. I tell them listen. I'm one of those guys I want you to do. I know the stage room sometimes with the stuff stack forward can get a little limited. I say use any of the flush the Rams I want you to give one thousand percent of your show. I want your sound to be equal your lights. If there's you know it's not daylight whatever I can give them. I want the fans that come to the show not just the band. You want the fans to go shit. That was awesome. That was awesome. That was a great concert. And and that's the way I work since the beginning. One more thing on the stadium tour and they don't WanNa talk about a headline show. They got announced today. But have you guys met and talked out what you're GONNA do on this run? I know you probably what your set times going to be. Gone through it all of you. What's what's the target a plan for when you really going to hone in on on this thing and how you're going to how you're going to tackle it at first of all. I'm pretty sure that it's going to be an hour set I I. I'm pretty sure that because there was a lot of stuff to move around in other words Motley and depth Leopard enough I you know and again Joan. I'm sure but we all got. We WanNA BRING OUR BEST FOOT FORWARD. Our best sound our best look. There's a lot of stuff to move to make sure that the you know the next show that's going up. It looks incredible. I'M GONNA say we're on six to seven ish. Six fifteen to seven fifteen. But I I just say six for now. And we're just bringing an hour of pure unadulterated is much music as we can shove in there and just making an incredible great time. Well we're looking forward to it and so are the fans. Obviously because the response to this has been off the charts and I think it's a great statement for rock music. I think it's a great statement for This this music from the eighties which we all grew up loving that is now a new generations classic rock and let's be honest. I mean all of the band's on this bill took their hits throughout the nineties so this is kind of like a nice like you know. Hey look at us now. You know I I the storm with all you guys. I was there through the nineties. I know how tough it was so this has got a few really good and you WanNa know the truth. You've got to weather the storm that there's no career very few careers that I know of and you make correct me that start and go straight up and never stop. There's always you've gotta have the ups and downs and that's what makes you appreciate it more but even in the nineties you look at. I'm saying including guns roses poison. Bon Jovi DEF LEPPARD Motley. We all kept our heads high and we walked and through thick and then the music withstood. The most important thing to music withstood detested.

"Gary Sharon never never called Trooper Noah pack after the detective visited his home but what happened next was straight out of a cop show. Shares girlfriend showed up at the State Trooper Barracks Eric's the very next evening. She had a stunning story to tell them. She told us that she left early. In the morning to go to work. He was expected to leave after her to go to work. And when she she came home at the end of the day his personal belongings which he normally would have taken with him. We're on the counter. And she found the letters left behind for her. Those letters left detectives reeling and and crack the case wide open. There were three separate letters. One of them was essentially a confession. Letter the confession with staggering auguring. It said I abducted raped and murdered a young woman. Approximately twenty five years ago. I had no intention of killing her when I grabbed her butt. Events Spun Spun Out of my control. I have never regretted anything so much. Were you shocked by this. Yes we knew that we were going to solve this case with DNA match which we didn't expect to solve this case by Somebody Writing Confession Letters Shera outed. I hated what happened. I despised myself. I thought of turning myself in in hundreds of times over the years but I truly am a coward. Another letter was a last will and testament. He also left a apology. Letter for the Zieger family. It was short. I can never apologize enough for taking your daughter and siblings from you. He said I have regretted it and hated myself every day. A sense you read the letters he just do that. This was the guy it was just that feeling. And you've got you've been chasing an unknown attacker for decades for twenty five years and here we are with the state police in the state police barracks would these notes in front of us. It was a surreal feeling. was there one thing that stuck out from those notes. Aside from the obvious which is a confession violence he wrote in his note that he had been fascinated by certain types of violence For his entire life that stood out to us as being very unique. Doc I've never really been or even felt normal. He wrote from a very young age. I was fascinated by abduction and bondage could never keep it too far from my mind for long on that fateful day I let myself do something terrible. Did he say why now why Lisa the notes didn't say why he had chosen. Lisa has a victim. There was some indication that she was chosen. Perhaps to fulfill one of his fantasies that he hid clearly struggled with. Your must have dropped to say the lease I. I was at home and I received a phone call on my cellphone. What are you thinking? I gasped I I took a big deep breath and my my mind began racing. Then he received the letters on his cell phone. I got very emotional very excited and very hopeful that this was the moment that was gonna take this case in a different direction. Dozens of investigators had worked thousands of hours in sleepless nights. On this case after twenty five years we finally you know who did it and we just had to go out and get him. It was a race against time because in his confession letter Shera also wrote that he knew detectives were closing in on him. The state police were out the house with some important papers for me that will be a warrant to take DNA and that will send me away for life today. It will all end and I'll either take my own life. We're faced the music as it were. We'd find him for two reasons. The first is now. He's fleeing murder suspect and the second in his he was thinking about harming himself so we had to find him before he was able to end his own life as well so We started paying his phone and investigators located him down in Connecticut. It was almost ten at night four hours after reading those letters when police found shares car in a hospital parking lot they. I saw a suicide note on the dashboard of the empty car. The note read to whomever finds my body. I apologize for any psychological trauma incurred. You'd call mass state police thank you. It was an ominous. NOPE did it mean there would be no justice for Lisa coming up a race was on to catch a suspected killer before it was too late. Did someone find him in time and a long road owed finally reaches an end for a family and a detective picked up and put a car. Just shed Ed Don.

"Savannah out wait longer to welcome back to the stage. These shows in December were supposed to be his first concert performances in thirty years now in February. It's going to happen in Nashville and not December in Memphis. So this is all kinds of confusing change venues change the date, and apparently he'll bring in all star band. Including drummer Carmine, and I'm gonna say a piece. Yeah. Out a piece to see. I mean, I don't know how to say it so from vanilla fudge and bassist Tony Franklin from blue murder and bunch of other bands. And he wants it special and done, right. But apparently, he's known for his bayton. Switch tactics. Kissing makeup. Gene Simmons has a few choice words for sure. So Joe Perry has been released from the hospital after his and ask if there's any Joe. It's like somebody one you. On their post that actually wasn't one you guys article that literally says Joe Perry dies in hospital. Like, I like me at work. I'm going like all over the internet going on these important guys. You don't fuck with Joe Perry. He's one of my people, but he was released from the hospital after his collapse at Madison Square Garden, if you didn't hear about that he collapsed on tour with Billy Joel one source says that after undergoing several tests the scare was a combination of allergies and fatigue. He and he suffers from breathing related issues since he was trialed. But this was the second time in two years that he collapsed on stage in New York still has no intention of changing his touring plans. He will play ten shows this fall with his solo band with Gary Sharon, I would go to that tomorrow. First of all. Let's just stop right here with Gary, Sharon, all right? Let's just stop. Not his van Halen think that was not his fault. I mean, he I mean, was. he was making like come on van Halen calls. You does record with you. And then turn your voice off lose upset about. No. And that track that single that. They put is a cool song. It's just you can't hear garish run Gary fall. He's wasn't gonna tell van Halen. Hey, I think cars too. I mean, you know, you really can't fucking gun, and he sings his ass off on that it, you know. It's just not hurt. I'm sorry. That's okay. Well, it's to Gary thrown and Brad Whitford embarrassment and in spring of two thousand nineteen Aerosmith is kicking off their fiftieth anniversary anniversary residency tour. I know in Las Vegas starting April six at park theater at MGM. So he's got a lot on his plate right now. So. They do it. Did did Joe in Gary sure, they do a record together or they just kind of out and playing like last believe so far they've done like one song. Okay. But check it out more news to come. So we'll see so Metallica on a completely different side of and now for something completely different donate one hundred thousand dollars to California's wildlife relief effort through their foundation, all within my hands. As everyone is. I'm.

"Brad Whitford Gary Sharon who else is in the ban. Besides Brad, and Gary Joe, well, we Chris wise on bass who's phenomenal vampires young play with the vampires. And then let's see we got. As on drums, Jason Sutter whose Puckett's. Awesome in. I mean, he's he's a motherfucker. He's great. And then and then buck book Johnson whose the keyboard player for Smith, and and also even playing with the vampires. So I mean, he's he's really the anyway, he's great. And and in fact, he's such a great him in player that went out, and I bought an antique him and be three. So we didn't have to rely on rental because you never know when you get a rental. So I figured let's just by the best be three we can get from nineteen sixty eight getting a road bucks and make it work. So I know we always got that sound because nothing sounds like a like an old be three maybe the heavens piece of gear ever every every every guy the road crew goes our. Moving car. Can I just say something real quick about Johnson and Aerosmith, and I give you guys credit for this all the time. And I think it's among the amazingly numerous cool things about Arrowsmith so much respect for this one of my biggest peeves as a rock fan. These days is that I see a lot of bands out there using a lot of electronic when they play live running a lot of tracks things not being real. And it makes me nuts. When you go. See Aerosmith you guys don't hide buck. He's there Stephen introduces them helping us out on keyboards and backing vocals, it's a human being it's live. It's real. I think that is so damn cool 'cause you guys could easily view would allow other bands doing and load up some tracks, and whatever, but you keep it real. And to the point that when you need a little help, you got a guy out there that you bring I think that is so cool. And I applaud you for it man because that's rock and roll. That's all. I mean. You know? I mean when the fans are in the audience, and and. You know, most of the time. What do you want something? I just drink and everybody's on. This is. John five's used to play big gigs with rob zombie here. You're next Perry pal? You're invisible. Breakout? Number seven minutes. But. Before johnson. You had a guy yet rusher. So we got two hookers in Vegas. The closest he ever came to an orgy. He also recalls a plotting George Harrison when he lost his virginity. So they all knew that it came in who you guys. Let's play virginity and a time when Lenin slept with a married man, a married woman while her husband watched he shared a lot of things. Lennon, John Lennon. On. Well, her husband was like go. Yes. Maybe we'll have a little Lennon. Maybe they were hoping to. Get a little genius born. I couldn't do it. Yeah. Speaking of men who sleep with other men's wives in front of the men Sammy Hagar. Your boy, he is a friend of mine casual acquaintance of mine, he does not have to sneak around if he wants to have sex with a married woman. He says tons of dudes are like can you give it to my wife? And when he's like now, dude, I'm I'm married. I'm not doing your wife. They go. Oh, we'll can. She just give you, you know, the business and he's like, no, I am a married, dude. This is what he tells the interviewer I'm pretty into it that you've been around a little bit. Like, I'm I'm a huge fan that Eddie's seen our boobs. Oh, yeah. That's it. So I I kinda understand this. He says guys asked me to have sex with their wives. I'm like, no, no, no. They're like how about just you know, like the one thing. She's really good. I'm going do. Are you crazy? I can't even imagine. Meanwhile, he's like what if I keep her? I decided to keep your wife dummy. She's so good, right? Well, his wife must be pretty good. I mean, she's gotta be he's not new Yanni. Yes. She is. Did you meet her at the? Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. She's super semi to meet your wife. Much about your. Sammy band the circle has a new album coming out in January and he wants a Grammy. He's actually sort of already campaigning for it. That's my bucket list. I'm double parked in the rock and roll business for forty years. I want my stamp on validation. So I don't have to pay to get out. Larry Grammies the big one once it's hoping. Well, how did van Halen not get a Grammy? Because they were had they never got any Grammy. But his version of van Halen was watered down just enough to be considered. Well, yeah. I mean right now was. Everywhere. Right. They do have won Grammy. They do what is it for for unlawful carnal? No. So he has a Grammy. He wants us solo Grammy. Maybe that's so. Yeah. Got it. They were nominated for jump in eighty five didn't win. Thank god. I hate that song. Stupid panama's. Pretty good though. Panama's great. But jump was just like I'm like, oh, really. Now, we're a keyboard van. You know, go ahead and jump if you watch the rush story. There's a point where rush went like more keyboard guitar, and there it brought about like trouble in the band but Getty. Labata happy as can be. So he loves playing keyboards. Playing bass he I've heard him in interview say like because he does all the keyboard stuff. And I'm sure a lot of it is program. He's like, but the fun stuff is the base right on singing voice. Arash, so the year that they won San Halen? They beat a CDC Alison chains and guns and roses. Wow. That's a big win. But they were there were made for it. Yeah. Like that was probably they were they were just right at that time right now is seventh seal with the guy from. In seventh seal. Yeah. The that album or that song seven sale was the guy from. Now that song from extreme extreme. Yeah. Oh, yeah. Gary. Thanks, so okay. They lost a Pearl Jam that year. Jackson. Okay. Because that album might be the one I'm thinking of there's some good songs on it. The one with Gary Sharon on no-no. Oh, no. I'm thinking of balance what's coming up with.

Scoring Again The singing abilities a band You're like, the base of, the fan But you get a sense. And then you go test the time The time think about Freddie in. The eighties well attested time I mean they're still on the radio McQueen songs are still on. The radio of that is still the. Performance in the United States we can all wax poetic, about Queen the people didn't care. About Queen anymore in the. Eighties they cared more in the ninety early eighties. After Freddie died another one. Bites. Does was eighty, one or two that was eighty eighty. One, okay after that album. The game started to wane a bit yes I'll agree, with that, so using holding up. And, standing the test. Of, time my gosh it's still, out there yes again on that okay Looking at the time I don't give a ten, just because, you have songs in. The, seventies to stay. There Part of it's also performance In the eighties that dwindles a little bit All, right and then just as a front man, I know I got a. Personal score on I know who scored higher I, mercury did I think with Freddie, Mercury, though if you watch those live concerts man I, don't know if I've ever, seen another performer maybe outside, of Steven Tyler who can command. An audience the. Way that Freddie Mercury did he was fantastic a lot of those audiences were in the UK So they don't count, no they do count but, that wasn't worldwide okay I, didn't realize that was part of. The criteria every. Part of these guys the other four are worldwide You're crazy Okay, and, listen listen there's nothing against Freddie or. Anything else It's the same thing I would say, about Gary Sharon from extreme who you. Guys. Make fun, of, but you Norma fan of the band There's too much prancing I. Jackass up there, doing that and I'm? Like are you kidding. Me you're fifty years old? What is wrong with. You No I think the other guy that's, just meet, but that's fine that's fine I listen wait a second you put a, list together. And you were invited agenda I know but, I would have, been higher if you? Would have done a. List Robin busy I got Side hustles going on man I. Got stuff. I had to do so you would have, had Freddie Mercury. Number one. Yes because, I'm a huge. Queen fan which would have moved him up on the, list and, the one you have a problem with at number five would have been, off the. List probably Because I hate it either I don't hate him see now I? Think. There's an uncomfortable comparison between you and. All those protesters in Portland that got arrested after? The, election who it turns out weren't, even registered to vote perhaps that's part of it and I'm gonna guilt-tripping if I don't vote right okay do we have time for one more call We. "There's a lot of hearsay and conjecture considering the exact circumstances around hagar leaving the band but one of them is that he didn't wanna do agree style since tensions wordy high either quit or he was fired and it depends on who you talk to david lee roth was brought back to do some songs only one of which was actually completed and released it was called me my machine and the band did part ways with roth in nineties was about ninety six with van halen saying the reunion temporary roth disagreeing with that whether or not dave's behavior at the nineteen ninety six video music awards had anything to do with it is also a question that often gets asked when you talk about van halen in the mid nineteen ninety s especially because from there in the late nineteen ninety s van halewood actually have a third lead singer former extreme frontman gary sharon that lasted all of one album van halen three then they go on a reunion tour with hagar followed by a reunion with roth and he's considered currently fr man for the band but going all the way back to the eighties van hagar was around for eleven years from nineteen eighty five until nineteen ninety six which is pretty much the same amount of time that roth was in the band his first time around and in that time they released four studio albums so what i'm gonna do is go chronologically through this list and i like i said i picked five songs one from each of these four studio albums and then to from one of them and they are some of the band's biggest hits and i'm gonna do that specifically because i'm sure while there's other songs of the albums that better fans might put on their personal top five these are the ones that i remember the most i think they're representative in a way that deeper album cuts may not always be at least from the kind of perspective that i'm coming from anyway let's get to the songs starting with my first one which is off of nineteen eighty six fifty one fifty.
