Yeah, I was. We start talking about this yesterday and I looked online and there are a bunch of prepper stores listed. Of the four I called 11 went straight to a busy signal, and the other three didn't know what I was talking about. You can't talk about the first rule of prepping is you don't talk about that's repeating what you said to me, and I was like, you know what? Maybe maybe That's true. So paranoid. I was like Hello. Is this so and so, and he's like No, we get these calls all the time. And I'm like, Oh, sorry about that. So I don't know if these things that exist or or what? I don't know. I got it. I got some buddies that are into it. You could say to a degree I am into I'm Am a prepared person, right? But I mean, I gotta buddies into like, although there's ham radio, And what do you do when we can't communicate? Because you got one of those crank things really need a battery and got that one. He's got the one you need the license for And he's got the ones that you can. Yeah, it Z getting out there, But I can't wait to talk about this because we usually get we've done this topic before. And but especially now with or come, Robert Covert. Everyone was prevalent because of covert. And then the election all the insanity going around the country, so We definitely want to get your calls and your thoughts and how to go about prepping and will be. So whether they were doing with this formation thing, there was a group of guy make the circle or whatever whatever you're doing, and all that cute stuff. And they're about I don't know about 10,000, ft Say and Well, they one of them kind of, I guess. Lost his his wind or whatever the hell so he kind of Blew into the other guy. And knocked himself out. Oh, no, You know, usually they can some guy'll. Come on. Pull your cord for you. Oh, no, not this guy s O. The guy. "Recall effort against the governor. It was a press conference organized by the Democratic Party, and it made us cringe a little bit, how they handled it, so just add some background. There is a recall effort going against Governor Newsome. They need to collect, like 1.5 million signatures. By some accounts, they have almost half of them arm or already in. They haven't even really spent the money to get signature gathers, paid signature grafters out. There's because of the laws of how easy it is to get a governor on it. It seems like it's not that hard for them to get the recall onto the ballot. If somebody wants to put in a million or two bucks, which might not be that hard to picture. So the governor's office clearly watching this and clearly I don't know, worried is the word but they're certainly concerned and this measure or this sort of effort was organized by the party to push back here was Todd Gloria, speaking at that rally efforts and so let us focus on what is necessary. To defeat Cove in 19 to get Californians back to work to get our Children back to school and to focus on the many multiple challenges that are facing our state. The recall does not assist that. And those who are propagating it. Those who are advancing it are doing it with the same motivations that we saw this past weekend to overturn a democratic election to undermine the votes of millions of people to sow discord, distrust and disunity at a time when we need to come together as a state. One thing I noticed about this line of attack is that they're kind of seizing on Lot of the Republicans talking points in a way that they probably don't realize in You know the first time around when the house impeached Donald Trump back at the beginning of 2020 lot of Republicans said, Oh, we we don't need to do this or we shouldn't do this because there's a new election coming up in 10 11 months and that's really the on Lee appropriate way. To decide on whether or president should be in office. And, of course, impeachment is ah, legally constitutionally viable method to weigh in on those things, and it wasn't a very genuine line of attack. And now the Democrats are using in the same way of like the recall is a legal process. And so you know the election of Gavin Newsom. Isn't the only way you know 2022 when he's up for reelection isn't the only way that we have to address whether someone is in office or stays in office. This was just Dad and dumb. This was not a good way to handle this response and it and it goes to the further extreme member when when Trump was being a piece of first time they didn't just say that, you know we should wait to the election. They also called it a coup. And when Gloria and others are embracing that type of language, they are not only Wrong like it's not that, but they're minimizing what happened last week where there was Unal, eh? Ction that happened and then a violent effort to overturn it. Yes, there are plenty. I think valid criticisms of the recall attempt. To be made by Democrats if they were inclined to do so. But like there's a new election of a governor or president that happens every four years and then there's like a violent, hostile, illegal takeover. Those air to things and then in the middle of those two things is a legal process by which you can remove someone in the meantime and that and that's what we're talking about it again. You can not support the recall or impeachment. That's a thing you conduce. Oh, but like toe, call it something. It's not is just dumb. Yeah, you can easily make the case. This is unprecedented challenge. We got You know all these things. This is only a couple years into his term. He's going to turn around. We got a lot of you're wrong about all these policies. You would lead things poor. There's all kinds of ways to argue against this, but I also want to bring up Todd Gloria had himself a front row seat to the guy who had to resign his office in San Diego City government. Because he was facing a recall effort that Gloria and others supported to get him out of office. Sometimes people are in office and they need to be taken out. Yeah, And and I compared things to the first impeachment. But this impeachment that happened this week one of the primary objections and I think it's an incredibly disingenuous one that Republicans like Daryl Isa have been trumpeting is that you know we need to heal and it's going to sow discord and you know on impeachment does the opposite of that, although you could certainly have a bipartisan Impeachment if they decided to go that route. And then Todd Gloria is essentially saying the same thing that the recall effort is divisive. Like of course, it's divisive. You're removing the leader of the state. That's the whole point. Exactly Well, just to refresh people who maybe weren't paying attention is closely in 2003. If they get the signatures to put a recall on the ballot, it'll go into a vote. And it's like a to stop vote. So you vote first. Yes or no on whether Gavin Newsom should be recalled. And then even if you vote No, you choose who you would want to replace him. On. That's you know, that could be like between. Like 30. People remember the menagerie of candidates that popped up last year deal? Gary Coleman member Gary Coleman was running, uh, Gary Coleman. There was a porn star. Um I would have to think this time around like Kevin Faulconer is going to be on the ballot next to like. Some tic tac influencer, Probably Okay, Let's talk about the city's budget situation for a minute..

Ted Danson Is the Mayor of Los Angeles in New TV Show

"Mr mayor is new. Show from rubber karla faye and features a lot of fantastic people and the featuring of a lot of fantastic people is reason to watch it. It's ted danson as the new mayor of los angeles and this is just another one where we're timing is so bad really You know if you are in los angeles you are well aware of what having a somewhat. Bumbling somewhat ineffectual mayor or even having let's just say a mayor whose track record is mixed. Let's just say that. Let's say. Garcetti did some things that the beginning of the pandemic that seemed to be good and then not so much lately. That's an it is it. I'm trying to be tempered. We've definitely had a lot of evidence of what happens in a major city if the mayor is not perfect and so i found myself really kind of unable to laugh at a show where it's like. Ha ha ha. The mayor of los angeles is job is to go to mall. Openings and celery appearances your results on that one may vary as los angelino or at least a los angelino transplant. I also kind of got the feeling that tina fey and rubber karloff. Not so much with the knowing. Anything about los angeles and twenty twenty. The jokes are all really really lazy. Really really facile jokes about california. That in some cases are are two decades old our colleague. Ingo king reviewed it for us and she notes that one of the funniest jokes involves the other candidates who run for mayor against ten danson's character and you stop and realize that the joke that's being made about the other candidates including gary coleman's ghost and a libertarian. Porn star all relate to a recall election. That was fifteen years ago. I mean that is just not finger on the pulse and so all of these things if the show were funnier. It'd be funnier but let's not forget that. Mr mayor was originally conceived as thirty rock spin off that was going to be set in new york featuring alec baldwin reprising his role and baldwin was negotiating for the better part of a year per sources and when he backed out producers went out to ted danson. Ted danson lives in los angeles and did not want to relocate to new york so they moved the show to los an- to being set in los angeles and removed any traces of of its ties to thirty rock. So there's that in the back of your mind

out how to get you guys back because the idea I'm going to honor my beds but he still owes things from four years ago now I know how to get him back no you don't I don't know anything from four years ago on the Cleveland or something to stir gone so have to deliver the the the speech from any given Sunday right but that that's still haven't under def poetry jam that's the one I from years back though everything else some current and everything else there's other ones I have to wear the cross to quit now right I know that up to three but that's so those those are from this year though is what I'm saying yeah well the one that you from four years ago to you tonight was a def poetry jam right right I mean you can read a poem I don't know how to do I mean what do you want me to do there it was my thought to be funny no you don't have to actually write it in phone do not know how deaf poetry jam goes doesn't have to rhyme does that to me you just given sports stakes roses are red violets are blue you not here not all right off it's supposed to be five minutes and it's supposed to be on the Cleveland or state yeah well not the Clevelander stage was supposed to be a whole segment I was like inspired by right Stuart Scott's like poetry jam session that he did with highlight will do it after thanksgiving okay again I believe this is why were you arguing with Dominique Foxworth that the at the wedding Dominique Foxworth is now saying after saying it was on ethical for the dolphins to take the field this year being that kind of bad because someone is going to get hurt they won two games and now he's saying that Brian floors should be considered for coach of the eulogies all eyes you know he played and played and his playing career so he's really good at backpedaling and that's what he's doing right now in a claim I I went after about the wedding saying the same thing like a week to you're saying that these dolphin players were in danger now they're doing okay I feel like they're safer now and he started saying I wasn't what is argument was but it was we played sound of it before and now he's just all in with his back pedalling saying that that the floor should be in consideration for head coach of the year which I agree with by the way because he's done a helluva job well let's just this Dominic it's rich right like you saw him at the at the wedding he got really defensive really loud really quick you agree with I mean it's just it's a hell of a job is done this year to the man who Gruden them just right so let's not let's not focus on me agreeing with the let's focus on the meat of the story here which is Dominique just hold only backpedaling told only backing off forty said Mike my you greet me sure yes you know what maybe would you do me the favor crest who's got the worst point differential is the bangles are the dolphin email lots a backdoor covers for those bangles so the dolphins are minus one sixty six the bangles are minus one twenty nine coach of the year I mean so so they're forty bleeping points worse than the bank imagine where they'd be with another code is there anyone else we is there anyone between the dolphins in the bangles and point differential like what is the third worst point differential yeah the red skins at minus one twenty eight that's it this three coach of the year Brian floors forty points worse than the bangles and racial slurs he'd taken the ravens game that equation their level there's there even that's right if he doesn't limit the raven got into the coach of the year will dominate maybe I don't agree with them or whatever he's backpedaling right yeah Dominique and I text him so he's pro listener and I said you better be listening this segment because I'm coming after you you've got a good shot of I'll put it on the pole are you allowed as a media member to go from saying that the dolphins playing is unethical through two wins later making Brian floor is your coach S. please he was not displeased survey showed that's when the game was not going to assist with the game I actually thought with a one run lead they would have pension form hall and brought in DS. did as Ron was saying it's cores feel you need to add runs here and he was saying this is a really tough decision but they scored another couple of runs and always good yeah and the but the thing about it is is that if they would have been up one run and they would have been shipped herself will buy what went nuts this is Joe panic probably would have struck out or something and as opposed to you know the positive thought the mighty Gackt one and drove in all three runs but though the more negative thought as who's coming on to the mound next would've been it would have not home and then the which is why he was in and then the Rockies would've added run some guy they'd still be playing. but as the eyes he did Callaway did say after is the only way Lugo is coming out of the game as if it was a tie and they needed to take the lead that's what he said armor here's a lawns how bout that Lugo hit in the ninth house also has.

"Voices and the powerful personalities I've left the building Gary Coleman is gone general Mattis is gonna general Kelly is gone general make master is gone a lot of these other people great I mean love John Bolton I think that big bold any is a fantastic the chief of staff but you don't have the powerful personalities in a lot of move was stars on their shoulders to step forward or step out so Dave's really present shall in every way shape or form and some Republicans stepped out and say like Liz Cheney and said I'm not comfortable with the tablet ever coming to camp David that's what my dad and and the present I'd say to bush part of the read the retort after nine eleven attacks me we are just a couple days from marking another year since March a black rose a congresswoman and on the attacks is now an esteemed senator from Tennessee she would incur Levin and I think it's important to realize the American people are war weary they want this settled and that president trump made a commitment to do this and we have seen a thousand Taliban killed and the last ten days and what the president and secretary Pompeii have tried to do is to get the Afghans working together the Afghan government saying that Taliban you have to separate from al queda and drawing some distinctions. it got to be standing up on their own but it also benefits us to give his influence in the area where are run can't wait to walk in China can't wait to walk in Russia could not wait to affect you the Russians have their world peace talks in their own country what the same clowns do you believe that Mike Pompeii cut for have the Taliban ever accepted the invitation to complicate camp David yes because in a statement today to tolo news they said that they were invited at the end of August but that they postponed it until an agreement has been signed the entertainment was not signed that that that that that that's correct that there there's been some confusion I I think there are other folks speaking it's a suffice it to say we we were confident that we were going to be able to have these meetings what would be the afternoon at camp David. and I'm thankful it did. not not that you know if they had a meeting in a central location ambassador cal as I was told come back home no reason for you to stay there so he's been there for months he was born there is with that not that unusual for them but he's had nine talks of the Taliban who a bunch of a ruthless prehistoric thugs and there sat in there and they were celebrating the defeat of another super power and took a half day to respond they had no formal response now going to the New York times and others they expect to pick up the pace of attacks on Afghan and U. S. forces really okay let's do that and we'll see what kind of massive response you get because now you know did you have a government willing to talk to you about peace now you know you wouldn't renounce terror now you know that you why you weren't believed that you'd have a push back al Qaeda and now the American public is exercised about the whole thing. people that want to criticize a present all the time say well I kind of want to get out of Afghanistan to and people they say you know was to present the yours well he got a rant on that too outside rand Paul who wants to get down to zero and say it's not our problem most people understand with eight ten fifteen thousand troops we never learned a lot about the ways and practices we can actually monitor their next to taxi other operates here they recruit.

"Him girls. This is the newspaper would write about him. They want him on the team so badly because Gary was a giant compared to most of the kids playing football back then this is in Peabody, Massachusetts. Boston suburb near Salem in the late eighties. Most high school players back then with five nine five ten Gary was six six two hundred pounds and he was just letting the basketball on his high school team. This is scolded him for his complete lack of aggression, and for crying, what he really loved doing was art projects going to the arts and craft store reading he gets an enormous stuffed animal collection in his room, even in high school. That's a pretty depressed at the time. Carries a comedian today, Gary Coleman stage when he tries to describe what he was like, as a kid, I talk about being Charlie Brown. I say picture my childhood, Charlie Brown. If Snoopy had died that, that was my that was my childhood. I felt so sorry for him. I like the whole point of his character. Is that he sat in only even that wasn't lonely enough? You have to kill off his. Yes. So in the jets instead of telling you that they were going to make him into a star. He laughed it off. He liked the attention from the Jetsons shore, but he did not consider this seriously at all. Football seemed brutal, just nonstop violent physical contact. He did not think he cut it guys who played football. They were so tough. Gary on the other hand, he got picked on. He got bullied he was bullied out of little league. So football no way. And then his junior year ended and just a couple of days into summer break. It was June six thirty.

"Comics, we wanted to tell listeners about that where we can find that and what you're doing over there. Okay. So, yeah, my pitcher on his patriot box Brown basically, just post stuff that I'm working on for a long time. I was posting updates to my discount child star. What's we'll be coming out next year from first second? I think I just broke news. The accident. But exclusive here on I read comic books it is a it's about a. As a fictional story. So it's like technically my first graphic novel and it's a bad child actor who came about came came became popular in the nineteen eighties. Okay. Okay. So the reminds me of, you know, another book of yours that I've read was power, man. We seem like a similar. It's a fictional story but it's very clearly based on a real person. I mean it's kind of multiple character multiple. Like based on multiple child actors MacAulay Culkin, and Gary Coleman, or like the two most. But then also, like just so many, there's, there's I read, did research into so many child actors and like all their stories of the same like going back to like the thirties, even like there's a child, actress they interviewed in the nineteen eighties, who was like an enormous child star in the nineteen forties. And like her story is the same as every other child. Actor like it just stay age out at some point. And they were abused by their parent like their parents. Like it's not all abuse, obviously. But there's a lot of it's all the stories are all very similar to waive maybe doing a biography without being super specific right? Yeah. Yeah. And I you know, I wanted to make stuff up also, but also make some shins maybe about, like inner workings of stories where he didn't really get the whole story without. Making.

"One one five. Kevin Brennan decides litters. Yes, he was here with Louis C K, and he's coming to headline believe next month, July. I don't remember what they, but he's very funny. So only been on the show one time, and he was a great guest and hates what's her name? Hater. He likes to push the likes to you know. He's very funny. Yeah. His thing. He's got a podcast or radio show or whatever called burning bridges, which is basically about it. So I guess he was running his mouth about Gary Coleman Gary been giving out a lot of tips and a lot of comedians. Great now was he really doing that? Or is that a joke? I don't give out comedy like how did you comedy? He was you know, for people who want to try, and do it wasn't necessarily even said, you know, there's a lot of people that have been in the industry for a while that may rethink things. Here's all day. He's a great writer. He's very funny funny. Stand up doing all anyways. I guess they got into it at a club like last week, whatever in Kevin Brennan had a picture of his with his shirt off and scratches on his chest. Really? Yeah. Yeah. I don't know whether Gary grabbed him, I don't know, exactly. What happened? I know Chad Zuma who's involved and he's writing about it. And hey, Kerry. Of and all this. So I don't know exactly. Yeah. Gary big, Gary six also, very sweet like you kinda guy tough guy guy. But he's a big, dude. He's not a guy. I would think would be afraid of pointed out that last comic standing, Gary, put Jae more up against the wall. And. Where he grabbed my car and put them up against the law. You know, understandable. So so what do you? So is one of those things where they're going to be. I don't know. I don't know. What's going to happen? I don't know. What's going on with this weather? It's real whether it's just Benadryl Brennan when not doing doing for wasn't real. You know what I mean? Yeah. No. I don't know. Whether he. Yeah. I have no idea. I don't know. But I thought it was interesting comedians fighting each other punch out all the would be great. I'd like to get a couple of comedians fight each other. Although you Gary, I think no fence Kevin Brennan, I don't know I've never seen him fight. But if I'm putting money on and I'm putting in my money on Gary good because I'd bet on Kevin. Would you really? Yeah. He's angry. And he's got New York scrappy, Gary has athletic ability. He played football and Boston Boston College, Kevin will stab them in the middle of the poem. The end of it. I wanna say actually Cam is going to be featuring for Kevin Brennan. That..

"He's like, I it's famous for voices famous Elliot. I agree with that. But if you listen to Jennifer Lewis, she she also has a similar vocal. Let me say pattern, right? What network is on on FOX and black on ABC's? So the odds of that are small I suppose the same thing ABC would not let her show up on. There's no way. Now, if you want to and I understand that I'm the Bob sagging to your Gary Coleman here financially, if you wanna bet five thousand dollars, I'll take that bet. No, no. I'm not. No, okay. I know that's reminded me. We've got a couple of days left in the the t shirt tussle. Yeah. Ten dollar bet. We made about the two shirts that we're selling. So his swung. The other way hasn't met. No, nobody else does either. Ciller? Yes. I did. Honestly, I think this t shirt does has pushed some sales to that shirt that wouldn't have happened. So heading shows a all just want me to beat you. Yeah. That's understandable. I'm not likeable which one is your in. And then the other one is lazy Queen which is that's something that Jimmy calls Garin. But then it was assigned to me in the bet. And so now all this. I said, okay, right. I said I think that'll sell sell, and you wouldn't you think? Oh my gosh. Yes. Crazy that he took the bet, but he did. But then it turned into this big contest. And so now, I'm out there on the internet going, they I'm Elise Queen everybody. It's kind of a weird thing. But anyway to buy that shirt guys. If I plug my life tour, the great, depression, tore you already brought it up then we'll promote it up Jimmy. We'll promote it whenever Chris Elliott. Does does promos in panel. Whenever the whenever the host brings up the thing. He says thanks for bringing that up. No way. Yeah. And incredible everything you wanted to be since early. Everything's wanted to be he's my idol yet. And and this would not change that this would you would love him more. Okay. Yes. At the one that he was doing to promote bridies movie. Oh, okay.
