"Got to be big with the crowd is just on his feet here to send you out. A boy with Gary Cole bombing comes highly recommended. You're gonna feel better if you talked. Oh, And what once again to investors edge. Just so you know, some. I really haven't talked too much about the difference between what we see here in Florida. What's going on in other areas? Uh, I will tell you. I'm here in Florida, and the numbers are going up on the virus. Deaths have been going up is you know the winter? And Thanksgiving and the holidays. But I find it quite interesting that other areas are shut down. I mean they killing businesses and other areas of this country. And on numbers. With being very much open up here. Are not as bad as them. Those areas. Interesting, huh? Just so you know, in Florida restaurants could be 100%. Though many or not. Gyms. All kinds of there. And I'm not even saying right or wrong. I'm just letting you know some facts. I personally don't go into a restaurant. That's a 100%. Went out to dinner. A very nice restaurant, New Year's Eve and I will tell you, Um, it was probably 75, but they really separated. The table's pretty damn good. I felt very safe. And as I've told, you hear, you can't get it if you're not around it. It's quite interesting to see And let me tell you, there are Businesses. Believing. With the governments of other states. So let them Hey. We're a restaurant. We know what we're doing. Over there is a supermarket. You have them completely open. And this socially distancing we have in their mess will do the same thing and we'll stay 50%. Nobody will be in 10 ft of each other. They won't let him They won't let him Now Some people in California are suing the governor. Don't know if you can get away with that. But this soon his butt off. I guess the government.

"Good luck out there okay last week we had Gary Cole on we were worried that the dinner they're having another couple of weeks was going to sell out that's a nice thing to get worried about well it is sold out and out there that say nothing but a complement to the organization as we mentioned before they've taken money from tournaments and dinners and events and spend every last nickel of it and you can tell where they spend it on their website it back in the fisheries were blogs now do you know of any other organization that does the vast in that way I'd like to hear about it anyway so Gary's got some info on okay so he's joining us now good morning good morning number one are you as a man of the gratuity I'm gonna have to pay thank you lord anyway so congratulations on soul in the tournament I mean the the dinner out that's great if you thank you very much and I know you mean that since yeah and and it and the thanks are sincere as well it it's you know it I I hate I hate to do it in one respect we take a lot of our membership in a lot of our supporters in this just doesn't feel good telling them sorry you can't come to our meeting here yeah but it's an indication of I think you know trying to do the right thing yeah it's just one of those dilemmas the it's it's a nice dilemma yeah yeah it really is salt so that's good and and the people are you know they see at the show and the next thing you know you know there may be it they've never joined before now they're trying now they're buying a table at the dinner and make sure wonder in all that that that that makes you feel better than anything either absolutely we've we've had we have had numerous art our new membership was up with the FDIC show this year and there turn around and call in and it's all right well welcome I hope you have a good time you'll enjoy it your first time here well they're buying the table in there for you only have just just phenomenal we have complete table purchases have amounted to over seventy five percent of our sales this year while still under everybody's bring in friends and neighbors and it just means that for going to have a bigger one thank you probably well we'll talk about more on that at another time but you've got some info on Whiskeytown cooking you know we haven't heard much this year of a little highlight here and there and then it goes away well you know I think you've heard the highlights and I want I want to try to give you a little more little more than that a real real deal before we get off the dinner if somebody it really wants to go they give me a call no promises but if we have a cancellation of call them back okay good deal you know so it's not the doors cracked open a little closer to town whiskey two well I'll tell you I think it's going to be one of the best fisheries in the state once again like it's been the last two or three years there catching some nice fish out of there however the touch it have you noticed throughout the morning there's been kind of a common thought going the the types that the bite seems to have tightened up a little bit everywhere you don't tell me what if you know the delta order in place for the delta is busted loose with the stripers earlier in the week and so that's the exception but but you know I'm I'm it's not just kokanee but you know the it's been a tough winter for bass you know but trout in all these like like Folsom caught trout early early on in Sam and there's still a few being caught it's nothing to write home about berry Essie usually wide open there should catch in some beautiful trout but you gotta travel of far and and and in between a nice fish because they're not in any one place a kind of Shasta is the same so it just kinda goofy the salmon Orville took took a dive this week I don't know well I'll tell you what happened whiskey down just a couple of days ago Richie I went up expecting you know to to do like we've done up there for three years and he fish for several hours hard covering one into that link to the other talking with people how are you doing because the bite appeared to be slow at all then there were numerous boats on the lake trying him people have zero one you know and that was it for several hours of trolling the wins the last time you saw that it was cute you were yeah and they he or should no doubt about him being a top notch fisherman but he ended up I think they had seven fish on and head for the boat very high quality fish a matter of fact there was one over fifteen and a half so that's the biggest cooking you have heard of this year we are bigger ones but it's good fish and their husky and they're healthy and they're fast and they're but here not only were they catching fish on top like we typically look like we've learned to store started starting to learn to do in the winter they caught fish down the forty and forty five feet so there's something going on all over the place is not just one life now yeah it's far as what did work that new micro shrimp in oranges and pinks and then they have one of the calls the wiki up sunrise in the sea the wiki up sunrise Dodger seem to do the as good as anything you know that they were getting more hits on that than anything else so I think it's worthwhile to go up there and fish it's a beautiful lake you know in the Fisher of good quality just like we're hearing everywhere else you're just aren't they the body does not on yeah it's a tough but you know you've got you've got to work for yeah and I try to find a little something gonna Berryessa it was a quick conversation ahead of us you don't have anything he said I don't have anything to talk about you gotta catch fish to talk well it you know so it's just not just not doing too well catching the occasional you mention of the nice nice fish you know rainbows big rainbows animal owners but you can fish all day for zero or one or two here it's just crazy yeah I I mean it's it's really it's hard to put a handle on it yeah well we've got the answer at the bank within a couple weeks you know we're good we've got every kind of gear you can think of their the manufactures of really turned out some premium stuff I mean a lot of manufactures we've got some good tackle and we've got you know our general raffle and our mega raffle and our silent auction and live auction and fun games to play him he noticed hopefuls those who have a ticket come enjoy themselves I think I don't think they'll be sorry yeah okay and and hopefully the vision will pick up yes I mean tomorrow is March that should make all the difference yes well you could expect yeah it should be March today right there was a leap year yeah and having the driest February on record yeah I think that's an indication of what's going on with the fish that could be that could be a water coming into a reservoir make some make some pop a little bit so yeah okay coming in for darn sure very thanks a lot for the update have a good time at that dinner and we'll talk to you very soon let you know how it goes okay thank you Bob thanks bye bye bye Gary cope president of coconut power okay then a heck of a job there Comanche oh boy they've sure had a great planning program this year every time you turn around the plant and twenty four pounds thirty six hundred pounds they split between the north shore of the south shore and the trout pond now they won't do that forever because as the water warms up the trout pond will be the first to go because it warms up quicker but they'll continue planning to lake until that water gets too warm and but anyway there's good fishing to be had they still have their all off season rates in effect for a cabinet they have several specials on capping ask him about the two for one campaign if you do call their because you know the course the north shore is loaded with unimproved sites where you can just go get away from it all there's really a value in that the south shore's got all the hook ups of the various campgrounds some next to the lake so they've got a little bit of everything for everybody of course again the store on the north shore and shop south shore and the boat ramp on the north shore and the south shore so Comanche but an hour away from Sacramento how do you beat that two lakes and one the lower up to the narrows up into the hills you will see bald bald eagles if you'll look up once in awhile Comanche lake one of my favorites always has been give them a call eight six six seven six three five nine one two or go to the lake Comanche "Seasons, how much if at all to the west wing, enter the conversation, a lot, actually, I don't know about the conversation as much as my maybe my own private conversation. I was a huge fan of the show. And at some point another, especially with this last season I went back and basically watched the fi I guess the final two seasons. All the campaign stuff. But for, for sort of maybe three reasons number one, just to sort of, like where they're just things you guys brought up, like issues, not necessarily the execution. But to some aspect of something that might make me go. Oh, there's a funny version of that. So that was number one. Number two. I also just wanted to see how you handled stuff and we take that stuff seriously. So I wanted to just look through to see how you guys handled stuff. Specifically the live debate had this idea to do she's losing, debates, she's losing debates. So they put together one of those rooms where they build the exact Bates stage like in a hotel ballroom, and then they were gonna have the real debate in real time. But with our people playing the other people, and it ended up, actually oddly enough being too close to an old veep debate episode which is why didn't do it. But I looked at the debate episode a lot and as people will have seen by now. Our final episode is a brokered convention. And so, I watched the convention episodes, again, not. Only to see what you did. Also, to see how it looked like I wanted to see like trying to figure out where you shot like what could we do? What how do we make it look? Right. And then also both, I guess, in my own mind to make sure we didn't like there were going to be certain things that overlap because it is a brokered convention, but I also just wanted to make sure we were doing our own thing that they were distinct that people weren't going to go. Wait a second. That's the exact you know, the teacher's union, that's the exact moment from. So I sort of wanted to make sure I was steering clear, a big influence any reevaluation of the west wing watching it again after having worked on veep for so long. You know, I don't know if it was reevaluation 'cause I was an honest to God fan. I think I probably back around the second time. I think I really appreciated those the final two seasons that much more. I, I really I really got into both the campaign for the democratic nomination and then the choice of Alan Alda as Vanik by. Casting the world's most likeable human being as the dreaded Republican, obviously, you guys did party. We never do party. But it was such a perfect move because it would have been so easy to pick some draconian, horrible guy, and be like, you know, this is good versus evil. And what was kind of wonderful was how much it wasn't like how gray those last two seasons were, there's a line, in an episode recently vet. I mean even for the show shocked me just because because. Okay. You mentioned consultants and there are ways where veep avoids. You know real historical figures were present day figures, we sort of go up to a point..

"West wing. And that back to the show. Another great crossover actor where we are in the in the west wing, we were just recently introduced to Stephen root. He was in veep, as well. And then he was in office space with as well, is that an just are they're just people who just come into your orbit by chance. Where this is just what happened. I just really think that's just math. And you go like how long have I been doing this? I was gonna say you're bound, or you know, when you work as much as Gary does it's going to happen. Well. You know, you're gonna circle back and you know, find people that you've been involved with before, also I mean, I can't speak as much for the drama side. But just in terms of comedy, you know, there's three categories of people. There are enemies of comedy that you just have to stay away from like I'm talking about actors now just absolute of comedy that just kill the comedy. And then there are friends of comedy, who like can play it, but don't necessarily bring you more than what you give them, and then they're like, actual like comedy people, you know what I mean. And so when you're actually getting into the category of comedy people while there are constantly new people getting churned out and people arriving on the buses in California. You know, you do start to go boy, we need somebody to play Tony hills, dad, who is slightly effeminate. We're not quite sure what's going on there. And he's gotta be old enough. But, you know when you start to like, what? Whatever and very quickly, narrowed down the list. Sherry long. And you just like Stephen root. You know, so you do get to those things in that way. Yeah. Quickly. Yeah. Is there also an element ever of stunt casting of just knowing that outside of the narrative that you're, you're making? There's just gonna be something that's going to delight the audience, like I couldn't help but feel that way, when Tim Matheson showed up in the good fight that in some ways, the creator is casting people were were saying there's an extra layer to this, that exists outside of the universe, where people are just going to be delighted about seeing these two onscreen again, yet that may be I don't know how I'm not sure how, how many people that would be just me news dragged Starbucks Cup on. But melted the interest. There's always, yeah. There's always that, you know, that kind of trivia question sure we wrestle with it on the because there's so much for us that I don't know. We, we take some pride in which is a lot of times, what makes somebody great in a role in. Yes. Funny is important, but also like you believe that, that guy could be the head of the secret service. And that's sometimes a very hard line because sometimes really funny people, you don't believe are the head of the secret amount. You know, I'm just making up a role, and so it's very tough because sometimes there are people where you go that guy's great, but he's never not that guy. And then I'll give you an example that we still back and forth with it. And I think it worked out. Great three years ago, my first season when we introduced this sort of billionaires sort of serve janey diamond character, we wrestled long and hard with whether John Slattery, who is wonderful and is, you know, doesn't. Enough credit for being a real comedy. Add guy that it just felt like it was. You know, whatever sterling. Right. That was isn't Roger sterling. You know, and again, this is obviously all actors have to deal with this is like, was he so well known as that, that bringing him on our show, wouldn't allow him to be the character we needed him to be because it just seemed like we brought the guy in for madman and it worked out, great. But we wrestled with it. I tell you, he doesn't know we wrestle now he does. But h fan of this podcast. But, you know, we, we definitely like long conversations about it before we pull the trigger. Yeah, it's your success ends up becoming baggage. Yes. Exactly. Yeah. When you were writing your seasons, how much if at all to the west wing, enter the conversation, a lot, actually, I don't know about the conversation as much as my maybe my own private conversation. I was a huge fan of the show. And at some point another, especially with this last season I went back and basically watched the fi I guess the final two seasons..

"And so, especially in this last season, the show had to change except we're also living through it. So it was trying to I always say, like we're trying to get like as high as we could and look and try and figure out. What does some of this mean we're not necessarily doing Trump, but what are the symptoms that lead to Trump? And I know people just want to go, you're just doing Trump, and it's like I beg to differ were trying to get above it in a way that it'd be great. If we were making the show, ten years from now, maybe we could figure this all out. But, you know, there is this theory. Sorry, I'm getting all over there is this theory, you know. And it's scary, when you think about it, which is, is Trump an aberration? Or is he the beginning of our? Yeah. Just are Roman emperors. Yeah. Exactly. And so that. Sentenced. Like what if he's the beginning is something we definitely thought a lot about with Selena in this season. So, yeah, watching the season has felt to me like a comedic exploration of the end of the world but it feels like the end of the world is beginning. Watch. And I don't know pose was, you know, a comedy writer, but also, I'm not afraid to say this as a father of a nine year old and eleven year old like I'm like scared. And so it's like I don't know what to do about school shootings other than to figure out a way to do some horrifying comedy about it. I mean I don't know how to express that. Yeah. Yeah, it is so bleak. It does start it feels like they're cracks about to erupt underneath the characters and like the entire world is going to be swallowed into an abyss. Thank you. Mission accomplished. I mean, yeah, that's I mean, I hate to say that, that's exactly what we were. Unfortunately going for one of the things I love about veep is something that we're talking about a lot now, as we're in the, the campaigns parts of the west wing, which is this idea of characters changing skin in veep. They have to do it so often. And it's such a funny wave re contextualising people and things that they said, you know, maybe one episode or even earlier in the same episode they have to suddenly reframe it for their new job. They'll turn on time..

"So I'm I definitely mind real American history and real American politics. I think a lot more than the Brits did. I think probably just from a knowledge base. You're also from joke base. I mean we I'll make spanish-american war jokes and try and get them in there. We have a joke this season. I won't take credit for it, but Reed, Scott the original joke in. There was something about it was the greatest cover-up since like, I don't know something about FDR walking or something, right? And one of the writers pitched a this joke, which is in the show and looks sexualities the worst best kept secrets, CLYDE, Tulsen's hysterical pregnancy, demand, lives. And that is a joke for nobody. And I. Absolute favorite thing in the world. For those of you listening. Clyde Tolson was J Edgar Hoover's alleged love. Yes. And so he of course, not having. Joke for no one. That is not a joke. I didn't write it. But that is also not a joke Mondo or the Brits would have done right. And then dare I say having the advantage of coming in on a season five for a show that had done very little. I think on purpose about sort of scratching a little beneath of who these characters were. And by the way, you which maybe you couldn't have done in season, one in my season five, we were able to sort of start digging a little bit. And in the fourth episode were her mom dies, you start to understand her. And, you know, by the time you get to hurt Catherine's documentary, and we find out Kent rides in a biker, gang and look at little tidbits. But again, allowing a little bit of who these people are to kind of sink into the show a little more. And so I think those for me were hallmarks of sort of my first two seasons. And then we wrote what became the last season in sort of early mid two thousand seventeen we were all set to shoot when Julia got her cancer diagnose. Basis and we shut down. And so we wrote it during the first couple of months of Trump and Trump was Trump. But by the time we started to loop back around, meaning, I guess, like I started thinking in February two thousand eighteen knowing we were going to be back in, like July two thousand eighteen everything had changed. I mean it just in ways like like just the basics of the show. If you think of the average episode of veep is Selena publicly screws up, and then get sort of blamed for it, and has to take a step backwards that entire notion of publicly screwing up and actually suffering hand. No longer credible. The idea of a president that talks foul mouth behind closed doors. Well, first of all, there are no closed doors and foul mouth. I mean yeah. So the all of these things, the incompetent staff had just become the realities of our daily life. And so, especially in this last season, the show had to change except we're also living through it. So it was trying to I always say, like we're trying to get like as high.

"Going to do about eight I don't think that was firm, but then it was firmed up later, and then the following year was a new, you know, when I would be, there would be ten shows. And I had you know, it was clear how they were going to use the character. He was, you know, the butt of a lot of people's jokes. Did they explain that to you? When you first when you first shot the role. They said I knew from his initial meeting with him. You know, there was this whole first of all, there was this whole thing with his cowboy boots that they were he was talking about his boots to the president in a meeting about, you know, trying to be on the ticket. So you knew his priorities were a little misplaced from the get-go, and he was a little a little bit of a political slug and lightweight but I liked it. I was. No, it was fun about the character. He was actually sort of smart, though. He was. Yeah, I wouldn't say he's not a lightweight. No, you see. I mean I was sitting at home watching. So let me be very clear about that, but it was kind of interesting because you, you kind of. Assumed he was an idiot, and then he would pretty cage. Yeah, then lay there were moments where it was revealed. Oh, okay. I'm going to give him credit. I think that was one of the things about casting, Gary because you're able to sort of create the illusion that this guy's an utter before. And then as soon as you get below the surface, and you realize the guy's a quite a bit shrewder than most people, give them credit for so across your career. You've been in, both great dramas and great comedies. And with a character like Bob Russell. I was just wondering how you are thinking of approaching it knowing that he was going to be the butt of jokes and things like that. Did you come into it feeling like you were coming from a comedy background, or I don't know, if that kind of mentality even entered I think I've always operated his way and may. But I, I know that, especially in the last decade, or so I do not look at them differently comedy-drama that doesn't enter into my whatever I'm doing that's up to the audience. Yeah. So it's really about the story and how that character fits in. To the puzzle that is the show or the, the, the story, you're telling, you know, because in, in reality, there's people that are just kind of, you know, there's humor at the expense of them. You know. I mean, that's, that's just human too. So I don't. And I never you know, I've never been a stand up comedian or anything like I've never thought of comedy like that. It's just a character to make as anytime. I've tried to be funny. Like actually consciously tried to be funny just deadly. So it's to me, it's writing always, and, you know, that's how I've looked. We have a line in the final episode, which people have seen by the time this airs where the character of Kent says to president Meyer, I haven't been Feis. It's nineteen eighty seven and. It was a great joke unto itself. It was also deadly serious, and I feel like every line you've ever delivered on veep. Although they are often very funny, right? You are delivering them with the same level of ma'am. Damn just broke. Strictly what? Yes, exactly. And that's that there is. No, it's the straightness that makes it. So I, I would argue I forgot about. But that's that's a perfect. Again, I felt that can't in some ways is a character who could have existed in both shows. Yes. Very much. So. Yeah. And I think you know, it's something the west wing occasionally you like hit upon like in terms of, like, you know,.

"Wing weekly. I rish case your way, an I'm Joshua Malina. Well, we're done with season six and as a result, we're done with vice president, Bob Russell. That was his last episode last episode. That's right. But before we start seasons to having, we've got a bonus episode and be could think of no better way to honor. Bingo, Bob and one of our other favorite shows about politics, then with a special episode on veep with special guests, Gary Cole, who played DP Russell, of course, as well as Kent Davidson on veep, and veep, show, runner, Dave Mandel VP is an amazing show, and you should all be watching it or you should be done watching it now that the series is wrapped. If you don't know veep has been nominated for total of fifty nine Emmys. And at one seventeen of them, it just ended this past may, and like the west wing, it's going to be missed. But we were thrilled to get the chance to talk to Gary cole- and Dave Mandel. This is Gary Cole. And I play Kent Davidson on veep, and on west wing known as Bing. Oh, bob. What was his last name? Russell. Bob ross. I love that. You have to ask that. Yeah, I did. It's been a while. And this is David Mandel producer veep. I remembered the bingo Bob, but I could remember why. No. At some point, you were the congressman from like the mining interests or something like that. Yeah. Good is Robert, Russell congressman from western Colorado, and I don't mean the state. I mean the mining company. Bob. Russell is not president. Are we actually discussing the list of dissing the list, wasn't Russell? Is he bingo? Bob russell. Right. But what was why bingo, Bob, why what was being actually? Never explained. Excellent. I like them a lot. I love that, but it shows the effectiveness of just having super k nicknames work. Yeah. And you remember the one thing you still remember his nickname and something about just that word. Bingo, had some connotation that made you feel like you shouldn't take this character, seriously de legitimize them enough without any need for explanation. Maybe you guys don't gamble me. Bingo means at one. I've only. This is a very, very exciting episode for us veep is I think I can speak for you. Josh our other favorite political show, besides the west wing. I didn't know that. We'd get a chance necessarily to talk about it in this context, it is kind of the distortion inverse of the west wing in a lot of ways. It's like it's bad child or something, I would argue even though I did not create veep. I would argue there couldn't have been veep, if there had not been a west wing, I that west wing taught people about a certain kind of political show, and then that allowed veep to invert it. But they had to exist before be that's my own theory. Having had nothing to do with either show. Right. You could argue that is an inversion of west wing and west wing is an inversion of actual politics. There you go, there with their for is closer to actual reality..

"Chairman David Rubenstein visit Gary cole- Larry Fink, Mark mansion, and what a conversation that was. Well, of course, keeping a close eye on the results of the election. We understand. Of course, the Democrats are set to take the House Republicans are set to take the Senate. We'll get back to this shortly. Let's talk a little bit about what else is happening. Africa's richest man. I Don Goede is waiting for emerging markets to stabilize and for the completion of polls in Nigeria before I go to cement in London. He spoke exclusively to Francine LA the Bloomberg new economy forum in Singapore. Let me start with. I mean, I is that we have fun. You know that we have. Almost sixteen billion dollars. In the finery, which is six hundred and fifty thousand dollars, and we hope to set for addiction. Plus Goto twenty twenty is a huge refinery. Physics. And we have no infrastructure infrastructure. So how to build a port to receive? Well, he was six percent of the will be able to do. So we have to build spatial rules from the seaside about ten kilometers into the finery to be able to erect them. You know that so many challenges diesel is bad. On what to do about one twenty thousand piles up to sixty five million cubic meters. So. Fun now. Arriving will commission, the small mini reports. Built. And you know, so we hope the fertilizer is almost ready for mission next year, which is three million tons of. And then we have the six fifty thousand. Does by one point three million. Tuncel putting appropriate. So when will you actually produce at six hundred and fifty thousand barrels per day. We will start production by slowly Trump into first instruments quarters to get to six hundred and fifty. Whoa. I mean, maybe two quarters. But you know, I mean new ramp up very quick, take fundraising. So you still want to IPO in London. We will I feel this this. Canova even this meant if you look at who actually extended. Six million tones now in Judah, just you know. In under the fifty million Thomas. Blue. Build in Cameroon building in. Consolidating the move. Here the cement. Thank you mentioned to me about the world economy. So we also watching what on what is going on right now. The problems would be imagine my kids. So we hope by the time the window was the emerging market issues sorted out. Finish election. So obviously, we cannot. View when Baltimore into an election period who all this dust to settle down. The go-to industry's CEO.

MLB -- Boston Red Sox keep Houston Astros within their reach

"Is way out of trouble. Shabby. The legend do worked on ESPN radio and the game last night with Jessica Minoza with that call in the bottom of the first inning, the Red Sox struck, I recommend Grasset or swang in a live Dr, bass it out of the right center field. Cut it off as Rettig bet. Surround third. He's into score the Red Sox two batters in Leded wanted nothing. You could tell the Gary cole- was struggling for his secondary stuff and Rafael Devers took advantage to two on the way swing ground basically to left via Benintendi scores Bogart. So stop it. Third as federalis holds them up. It's an RBI single Deckers the other way. And it's too dummy. David price in the Red Sox had a quick to nothing lead, but in the top of the second inning, the Astros counter-attacked. Swing a line drive, fair ball inside the first base line into scores Correa Maldonado on his heels Springer into second. Just like that. The Astros have tied it up to to a soft line drive that just hung in the air and hung in the air and Pierce diving wasn't able to reach it in the top of the third. The Astros took the lead, here's a three to swing and a high fly ball left field that will back there on its way dawn over the monster Marwick Gonzales, a two run blast. The Astros have a four, two lead. After the game, Garrett, Cole would talk about what happened next is maybe being the pivot point because he did not have shutdown inning and the bottom of the third inning. After the Astor's took the lead, this is what happened. Jackie Bradley Jr. the plate bowl turns down the rubber now to one. Swing and a high fly ball towards the left field corner Gonzales swords Alon that was off the lobster into score Bogart's Pierce autists heels here comes Denver's Bradley's into second Genesee Bradley Jr. clears the bases, Red Sox by Iran Boston on top five four is that was high up onto the monster just inside the poll state of the park. It was still five, four in the bottom of the seventh inning. Lance mccullers junior was on the mound behind the plate Martine Maldonado and look Lance mccullers union as one of the best breaking balls in baseball in Maldonado acknowledged that what happened in the bottom of the seventh inning, which was repeated problems. Catching baseball may have been because his unfamiliarity with that great curl ball mccullers give lesson. Now it's left up to Bogart with bets at third to down the pitch outside off the global Maldonado. Haney Red Sox have an insurance run that one was up at a way Maldonado couldn't keep it in front and Mukhi bets, grants home six, four, Boston Rick came out of the Red Sox bullpen to throw the top of the eighth inning attacking headers and then Mookie Betts applied the coup gras in the bottom of the eighth inning. One live base hit out of the right field. That's with the knocked Evers around. Third, he's to score bet slides into second. It's an RV I double Mookie delivers than it seven to four in the top of the night. Then Craig kimbrel emerged from the Boston Doug ad. And you remember what happened at the end of the Anki series. He struggled to find home plate and there was some anxiety in the stands at Fenway park as Kimball started at night inning, and the Astros began to rally on swang in a ball ham left field towards the monster, and that's high off the monster. Now to Vail take the turn will hang on at first. He kinda limps back in there. That's an RBI single off the monster. And now it's seven, five next to the plate, Alex bregman who was red hot at the end of the regular season, the Red Sox staff, it made it clear decision not to pitch to him six walks in the firm. Two-game series. Plus he was hit by a pitch in another plate appearance in this case, Kimbrell had to throw them, and this is what happened regmunt back in a way to get a one, the pitch swing and a high fly ball, left field Benintendi near the wall and makes the catch, and that is the ballgame. Just the base of the green monster hold it in and kimbrel by the skin of his teeth to close it out and the Red Sox. Hang onto what it in the Astros clubhouse after the game bregman was asked about whether or not he thought he got it. He said, no, if I got it, it would have been out in the street. Mookie Betts was on the field after the game, and I caught up with them. We did great. No, yet out. We've proven that we've been in both games. Everyone was second one and we'll just continue to play are going into Houston. When asked you about a couple of pitchers, David price, you know the scrutiny that's been on early game, keeps you guys right there. You guys win a game. He starts. Yeah. I mean, he's a great pitcher, you know, no matter what people say goes out. He are thirty million dollars a year. For reason he showed about record cells work out of the bullpen. He's, you know, he's done great. Starting out of the bullpen anywhere you put up. You know, he's got. And compete Fisher. AJ Hinch. The Astros manager talked about Mukhi bets ignited from the very beginning of the game. I mean, this place energy of this place when he comes up too bad is is really electrifying. So when you try to minimize much as you can in front of them, we didn't do a great job of that today. But from the the first bat- on, he kind of set the tone from the very beginning. So it's why he's very much MVP candidate. AJ was asked also about looking bad's, going around the bases in that seventh inning to make the score six, two, four at that time, give a lesson the insurance from this word and the seven Makiko around the basis how unusual to see that with with its. He went around the basis that have to put a ball and play in on. That's those are tough in this in this type of series is tightly CEPA games. It's a long characteristic. I mean, obviously, mccullers abroad mccullers ended try to keep it a one run game with the way that this series can go. And it's almost like a Tiger Balm for me. So last to a couple of nasty breaking ball, just look like, you know, Martinez lost it in the people in center field or just got a little bit got a little bit lax back. There had a little tough time and Mukhi went around the bases. I walk and then no-ball plane is of scorn before this series began AJ Hinch raved about Mukhi bets in his impact on the Red Sox. And Alex Cora was asked about Hinch comments on mochi and his play. Give lesson. Listen. A game AJ called Mukhi ticking time bomb, and he kind of went off tonight. Do you think it was more himself tonight? You said you wanted to get on the air did a couple of times? Yeah, Jesus Margai they went to Stanford.

Red Sox Astros Aj Hinch Martine Maldonado Bogart Mukhi Mookie Betts Lance Mccullers Gary Cole Boston Espn Jackie Bradley Jr. Rettig Baseball Fenway Park Field Benintendi Deckers Jessica Minoza Craig Kimbrel Rafael Devers
