"Didn't realize how much of an adrenaline rush of a ride we were facing until we had already reached amd past the halfway mark. We, did hit some heavy wind in Iowa and I realized how fast the winds were when I noticed my buddy's motorcycle outta slant are one rod, put us out in Chamberlain South Dakota where we sat up in a cabin there and enjoyed some old boss Burgers and several cold beers. The next morning road out spearfish did some radin through dead wood and shy and. Did some fish for trout and Cheyenne where the waters were indeed cold after few days out in spearfish, we headed back to Northern Kentucky where we lucked out and didn't have to ride and rain. In short, it was one hell of a trip with a good friend can't wait for the next Radwan. K stay safe out there on two wheels. My fellow one cares well written well done. Gentleman. Next up. On the Graham at Garrett, king crushed this one K. loop with some glorious scenic roads, one thousand miles exactly one thousand miles in one thousand nine hours eleven minutes look like Garrett had a very enjoyable ride and has already planned for the next Garrett riots Thursday night I was thinking up. We can plans and decided I wanted to do a one K. I dusted off the windshield in the rafters and clipped it on. On and put the seat back rest to complete the middle aged dad by a static form, follows function Friday. I mapped out a route and check the forecast and hit the road. Four thirty am Saturday morning. "Nine. Sports radio sixty six fat overdue. Okay. Our two of the show. Wait seven seven three seven. Sixty six sixty six hope you enjoyed the lube hour of the program. It's always topnotch topnotch Spalding. It's a foot off the boat. Matt Casey on the other side of the glasses. Well born a stupid jet hat with a stupid sticker on it, like it's new when that became the thing, I don't know, these funds like fifteen or twenty years ago, decide today, let's get the thing with the sticker on it, and then leave it on their tells you the size of your melon. Maybe it lasts longer that way. I don't know. Casey's, an odd catman is what are you gonna do? Case in our, not friends on Facebook and yet I because he has, like, I don't know thirty five friends that I have in common. I always get suggestions to add Matt Casey, I'm saying to myself, why would I do that? What, what got what? Why would I wanna follow the guy? I can't stand him at work. Now. I gotta find him on the at home. A wake-up. Check my Facebook, and there's Casey can't have that wouldn't be right. Yankee baseball, six thirty. Tonight clink Frazier will be the D H tonight. Chad green will be the starting pitcher as they go. With the idea. What a novel idea it is getting twenty-seven outs anyway. They can. And I know there's some fatigue factor for people and you, you gotta get holder and in there to make this system work, but that's fine. I don't have any problem with that. And the other guys need work, we talked about this, at the beginning of the year is a fine line between too much work and not enough for these relief pitchers recently, they've had plenty of work because the starting pitching has been so bad. But. It look it's, it's the Manding running a committee out there. It's demanding on the manager and on the schedule and on the arms to be ready every night. So I get that. It isn't a great long term strategy. But when you get to the postseason, you're not thinking long term, and you're also not dealing with tomorrow. If you don't win. So the postseasons of different animal, but you got to prepare for that. So the interesting to see this August and September. Depending on how the Yankees pitching is going at that time whether they do more committee pitching opener. Pitching in those two months this year than they did last year. Doug kearney? New Jersey next on the fan. Doug. Hi, nice to talk to you force your know. My biggest problem is young players on our team. And I don't wanna see us having a trade aren't good, young players for older baby close to over the hill pitching enough of that problem with the Yankees, fish when is the last time or when is the next time we're going to develop our own pitchy. Yeah. Pitcher independent Marianna was a failed starter. Was a failed starter. Cashman is a very shrewd die. I, I would assume that he knows that the way to the goal is to develop your own pitching and not have to constantly look at the trading deadline to pick up a J half or some guy that, you know, it's going to cost you prospects that are going to be good young players in the future. I'm I'm just discussed that we're always doing this. Yeah. I mean I it's valid point Doug that they, you know, the Severino's there's develop and, and if he gets through these injuries, then, you know, the not may end up being a success story for sure. But you're right. That look, they've had a lot of excuse me pedestrian pitchers. Guys come and go guys that are just another player in what I've accused the Mets of having not in their pitching. But generally the Mets have too many players that are just major league players. They're not good. They're not bad. They're not anything. They're just there. But if. Traded him or you traded for them. You wouldn't be happier said you just fill roster spot, and that's been the Anki pitching for a long time. The starting pitching has been, you know, with hot streaks and Severino, hot streak here there, obviously, her mom this year and the way he started. But mostly, it's been the gaps of the world. You know it's been that. Tanakh whole career has been. You know, he's never been automatic. He's had hot streaks five six seven games, but never anything sustained. So it is frustrating because it is constant and as you say it's been a lot of years now. Lou jersey shore next on the fan. About the Yankees if that's okay. Go ahead. Lou. Listen, I, I think it's a candy magic Mo-jo air. That's what's gone and lost it in America, Ramta, this Cashman merry-go-round people moving and rotating. When when they when, when the you know. You know, I just think you gotta calm down. Very little change with them. Both kids local screwed up now get confused. Garrick men, Garrett king, you know, Garrick replace really, you know, pit or whatever his name was when tip came back inputs own garic. Garrett played these kids to play the first place team. Coming off the disabled list. I understand that. But you can't you can't compare what judge brings to any of these guys judge has to play. And that's that Stanton, I think in the right lineup. If you see you gives them so many more options, Lamaze, sill important. And so as Clint Frazier in terms of how he's hitting you got. Clint Frazier, and LeMay, you hitting you're going to have Hicks, you're going to have glaze over you're going to have Didi, so now, you're now you've got Sanchez, Stanton and judge to add to that you've got to be a good baseball team. A really good baseball team. Really good. And maybe they out hit everybody in the postseason. But that hasn't proven to be true. And we're in an era of Alana strikeouts. So, you know, we saw this two years ago with Houston, where they lost two one to one and four nothing in three of the games. That's two runs in three games last year. They scored ten runs in four games against the Red Sox, which is two and a half runs a game, which doesn't cut it. If you're the Anki the Mets might in a perfect world be able to win that way because their starting pitching might have been good enough at times to, to do that, like they did to the cubs in the World Series year. But the Yankees can't play that way. Yankees can't play. We're gonna score two and a half runs on average. In a postseason series and win that series. It's not gonna happen. Not built that way. Stephen Milford next up on the fan. Steve. Hey, chris. How you doing? What's up? Listen. I got a couple points before you hang up. I wanna make them all the biggest point is the Mets have talented Dominic Smith who I really, don't see without the E H will come into the natural league. Lonzo for Smith. So I was wondering, you know, maybe into guard move, maybe a Smith move. You possibly see the Mets making a good move midseason to get some talent on that on that roster. That's number one question. And number two question it connects to not do well, this year, we don't see mixed Galloway retarding next year as our manager you possibly see a chance where Joe Girardi would become the New York Mets manager to hear your thoughts. Okay. Thanks steve. No, no, no. I don't think they'll change because they like being known as the team with the starting pitching. I don't think it's smart. But I don't think there that's mart. I just don't. I would I would trade Dominic Smith today. If I was a Mets, because I don't know that his value will ever be any higher. And you might be able from an American League team to get something pretty good for Dom Smith. And I would trade one of the pitchers without question. Because you're not winning with them. You gotta wake up. You need to change you need to change. It's not working. I don't know how much evidence you need to have as these guys age. And as you continue to have to deal with paying them. It's not gonna work with Wheeler Matt's. Syndergaard and degrom somebody has to go. And they need to understand that, but I don't think they do. And I don't think Joe Girardi would take this job. And I don't think the Mets would pay him. It's not the kind of the Mets got Mickey Callaway to to manage their team. They went out and tried to find the best candidate and got Mickey Calloway. I mean if I'm the prosecuting attorney I rest. I sit down and let the defense get good luck to them. You had anybody who wanted you took? Mickey Callaway prosecution rests Mitchell, fort Lee New Jersey next on the fan. Chris, how you doing? What's up? Okay. Listen, anyone's complaining about Yankee for the Yankees that the problem is the pitching staff, and what I don't understand Tacna why you lost that for a million dollars a million dollars Tikal gave us one pitcher. He hasn't done anything this whole season. And then we would have been fine for now. Remind you warming pitchers questions whatever we have left danger, minor league. I have to say about everything. I want to give everything to pitchers back next on so many good things that it's been a steel go, right? Chris, absolutely. Okay. Everything else has been well, kept he can't control the entry but the pitching him, but the Yankees lately about money. I don't get why they have. So we wanted to air tanker Hal. The whole thing. A Yankee fan, but even eight great. But when it came down to spending money for two million dollars that we lost tangled joke. So now when he pitches because I don't think it's gonna be back this year. I don't think so he hasn't done it and big as Tanaka. I've been pitched well the whole at four games a complete disaster. Don't what do we do? Right. We wait. And then why would why you would be play doctor and pretend you know, whether Severino is going to have anything or not or whether, you know, whether Dallas Kyko the, the, the Yankees, may not have been cheap with kaikal, and look and they may have been to your point. I'm not saying I know. I don't know. But I'm also saying that unpaid-for doesn't make much sense to lose out on kaikal. So why did they maybe because they weren't in maybe they just don't believe in them. And we'll find out if kaikal has anything left and whether he can be dominant or good pitcher. In the major leagues again this year now that he signed once he gets ready to go and the brakes album. We'll find out it would make sense to take when you were the AKIs because if he doesn't pitch well, it doesn't cost you that much. You know. So I agree with you in that regard. They had they have so much vanilla right now. They are so generic with their pitching staff that adding another guy who might give them a spark. Seemed to make sense to me. I mean it did it made sense to me, but they didn't do it. Why? Maybe they just don't believe in the player. Maybe it's not financial. Maybe they just don't believe in the player but. You know, there's no debate here nothing to talk about. It's just who's going to be available and one of they're going to give up to get him. That's where the debate comes not. Do they need somebody that, that discussion is closed? They need somebody there, isn't any question about that. More of your phone calls coming up. Yankee baseball in about an hour and fifteen.

"I mean, look at this video is choking. So. Hello down and make. Jay hill early in the week saying. Well, I think something dumb. I don't want to spend a whole lot of time on it Ray. And he did kind of back off it yesterday. But. Why in the world would you do something like that? I think he just was goofing around, you know, just sort of you know, when he when he did his backtracking yesterday. Sort of indicated it was just he he explained it. Look I have confidence in my team. I've confidence we're gonna win the game. And I was just having some fun. So I mean, he sort of just kind of was harmlessly goofing with the reporter. But you gotta be smarter than that. And I think Doug Peterson clearly indicated he wasn't happy with it. And they had a conversation. So grew Jay hill did his little may culpa yesterday. But I don't know. I mean, Doug sort of alluded to this in his press conference that. You know in this in this age of social media with everybody tweeting and posting stuff all the time. You know, the idea of bulletin board. Material probably isn't what it used to be. Because that stuff's flying around all the time. Anyway, so he doesn't think that there's much impact. And I don't think it's going to have any impact on how the game plays out tomorrow. But it's just one of those things that it was just sort of unnecessary. And I'm sure at this point crochet hills is sorry even went there. I agree. And I don't think the game tomorrow in Dallas is not gonna be decided on anything that commute Rouget hill said during the week just you know, the be smarter by the way Dak Prescott reaction. I thought was actually pretty good. This will be the only time you will ever hear me compliment Prescott. But when it was mentioned to him his response was who. Well, I'm sure he knows I'm sure he knows sure he knows his his little shot back. All it was good one. All right. So we moved past that Ray engineer. Good morning Ray. Didn't you? It's nice to see you. I'm blend MAC. Now, we're Delaware park racetrack and casino on a brisk chilly Saturday morning. And of course, it is Dallas week the eagles play the Cowboys tomorrow. We have other stuff to work in including kind of the first misstep of Joel embiid's career far as I can see we'll get into that in a little bit. But ray. Eagles head into tomorrow's game. I think it is. Now, I looked at earlier three and a half point underdogs. Dallas just the second time this year, they have been underdogs as a matter of fact, New Orleans being the first one we'll forget that game. This is a game. I just go out with this is about it's about first place. If the eagles win both teams will be at seven and six the tiebreaker goes to the eagles because of the division record. If the eagles lose their two games behind. Ford ago the Cowboys actually three to go excuse me after this Cowboys will own the tiebreaker because head to head there will beat them twice. And here's the here's the geeky nerdy analytically project math. Uh-huh. I tell you. I follow five thirty eight dot com, which are things very interesting website. Okay. They projected this. If the eagles win the game tomorrow, they have a fifty seven percent chance to make the playoffs. And they're about even money to win the division. Fifty seven percent to make the playoffs. If the eagles lose tomorrow. They have an eight percent chance to make the playoffs. I'm not even sure it's that good. And well at about a two percent chance to win the division thing is the wildcard, right? Kind of moved a little bit last week because the bears law who else lost everybody lost again every Minnesota lost. Right. Yeah. Everybody that everybody that the eagles needed to lose lost. So that that was good for that keeps them alive in the in the possibility of wildcard, but essentially eight percent is close to zero percent. And that's really bad. This is it. We would I have said many times this year. Like this is the game. It's a must win you've got to win this game. So on this one really is that game. This team met a month ago here, I'm leading up to this question. They met a month ago. Right. You remember going into that game? There were rumors that Jason Garrett job was on the line. Oh, yeah. Troy Aikman said on national TV something like they need a reorganization from top to bottom. Yeah. They need to tear it down basement start over rethink their whole way of doing business since that time they haven't lost since that time. The Cowboys have been really good the New Orleans team that came in here and scored forty eight points on the eagles. They hell down there. They held to ten points in Dallas last week. Yep. All of a sudden, Jason GARRETT'S king of the hill. Yeah. Yes. I wanna ask you a very specific way. What the hell happened? That game in that game at the link changed everything for the Cowboys. It totally changed everything about their season. I didn't see it coming. I don't think you saw it common. I mean going into that game. I was very confident that the eagles would win. I thought they were the better team coming off the bye. With the opportunity to seize control, the division kind of get things turned around division. You know, your biggest rival coming into your building primetime game. Black uniforms. I mean, all the stuff that you would expect says that that sort of for shadows the eagles coming out and taking care of business. And they didn't. I mean Nate played they played miserably that night. I mean to me the score the score doesn't really indicate how poorly they played and how much they were pushed around twenty seven to twenty. Yeah. It's it's it's a seven point game. But there was it was when you when you watch as you watched it it didn't feel that close. And when you went back, and he looked at the tape, and you watch looked at the execution and the play by play Xs and os aspect of it. It wasn't that close. The Cowboys Cowboys beat them and beat them soundly, right? How do you feel about the execution of the eagles at night? Oh, I was one hundred percent in favor of. But. I almost in a in a reverse psychology kind of way and look over the course of the next three hours you and some callers will probably accuse me of trying to silver lining this thing and trying to look for reasons why tomorrow's outcome. Could be different. Not me. Okay. I'm with you. I'm one hundred percent behind you pal. I'm my feeling is. I think that the eagles could use that to their advantage now because they've spent this whole week looking at the tape of that game. And they know better than anyone how poorly they played that night. And and what top to bottom of really poor effort. They put forward, and how disappointing that was to the city to the fans to to them, you know, and I think I think they're going down to Dallas with idea making it, right? And you know, I think they have an opportunity to do that. Now, it's not going to be easy because right now the Cowboys are playing they're playing very well. Their defense is playing extremely well. The offense with the addition of Amari Cooper is playing much better and are gaining confidence by the week. There's no doubt and up been good at home all year. So this is gonna be a tough task. But I I kinda liked the kind of nobody nobody outside is kind of given the eagles much of a chance. But I think they have more of a chance than people realize, I'm not I don't I'm not making. My prediction yet by just want people to understand we're on tomorrow. We'll make our prediction, but you're going with the Marc Lawrence revenge on a day ending in Hawaii. With the road team that no longer wearing a black based on the whole trend there. No, it's not based on any of that. It's just based on on what I still believe the Cowboys to be which is not a powerhouse team. They're there. I look at them enter they're good. But they're certainly not a team that's overpowering. And they're a team that I still think even with their injuries. The eagles match up well against. And there's no question. This eagles season is this game. And they know it they know at full well that this this game is their season. So there won't be any question about their focus. And there won't be any question about their want to that's kind of what they have to build it on. But the Cowboys aren't a dynamic offensive team. They don't score a ton of points. So I think this is the game. It's going to be there to be had in the fourth quarter. I really do. You know, the funny thing is what I thought the Cowboys were a year or two ago is not at all what they are. Now. I thought they were a team that had a really poor defense and had a terrific offense of line of quarterback who could operate behind that offensive line. Neither a team with a quarterback got sacked seven times last week against New Orleans, but their defense with all these young linebackers and Anna back in that was awful and is now good. They completely flopped. What they were. Yeah. That's you're right about that. That is true. Their defense has really come together. Their defense is is really very good. And it's and it's very it's very solid across the board. I mean, they're number five overall the number four against Iran. The number seven against the pass. They rush the passer. Very well. And normally in in a typical year and every year, Sean Lee gets hurt. And when Sean Lee typically when Sean Lee goes out the whole defense falls apart. That has not been the case this year. Sean Lee went out and the defense just kept rolling and the kid Vander ash who they drafted number one. A lot of people thought he was it was a reach in the first round. Well, he's played extremely well. And Jalen Smith the kid they drafted out of Notre Dame in the second round a couple of years ago knowing that he wasn't even going to play the first year because he was rehabbing has come back, and he looks he's one hundred percent back and he's now playing like the player that they projected him to be and their linebacker core right now which used to be a big question Mark has actually become a strengthen DeMarcus Lawrence. We know what he is. And they're good upfront. The made a couple of adjustments in the secondary that moved a couple pieces around the taken Byron Jones from safety put him a corner, and he's turned into a hell of a corner. So the tweet a few things that brought in a couple of new players. The old the old guy who coaches that defense rod Marinelli is actually changing his ways a little bit. I mean, he's doing some things now with this personnel. That's even a little different for him. And the the end result is that they're playing really good defense. And they totally shut down that great offensive machine down in New Orleans. And they may drew Brees look about his uncomfortable as I can amazing to see. All right..

"Foreign foreign the american athletic conference of course with their final game against army looming it was a pretty tough game actually navy was up at the half fourteam a seven houston came out and scored 17 on answered in the 2nd half to beat navy 24 to fourteen behind bear quarterback garrett king who threw for two hundred seventy seven yards and one touchdown and ran for two more for the houston cougars the key for houston was that the really kept navies blotted wishbone attack on there in check at old navy only ran for a total their total yards were two hundred ninety one that usually average over four hundred yards whereas houston had three hundred eighty our navy steal did win their time of possession 36 minutes to twenty three minutes and they won the turnover battle to want but there were just too many big plays a sixty one yard touchdown pass that king completed two stephen dumped bar as well as like a say his other uh touchdown pass and so they navy just kinda ran out of bullets autumn there back adb coups that navy quarterback okay i'll only through for forty five yards malcolm perry ran for eighty two yards with those are really paltry numbers compared to what navy usually has houston just really hady the i mean in houston thirty good this seven informed the season five and three in the conference the defense of line really bottled up navies all offensive line and we're able to control the game and that was the key that the game really in in this case but nonetheless the midshipmen had another good season another winning season and we'll be going to ballgame this year that's good this is colonel denny gilman influence of freedom we just looked at last weekend service companies football games and there aren't any this week but through sure is a big win next weekend mr suria's danny is is though they like to say the granddaddy of them all the army navy game it uh i think you and i would agree is the greatest rival in college football have made it uh it's still is truly emblematic of what amateur athletics collegiate sports there are really all about is a lot of mutual respect but there is a tremendous competition on both sides of the ball and you have both teams.
