"Not curing but treating have you heard of anybody that's been on that regiment that died. I have not no No, I'm not the only thing I've heard our success stories. Yeah, that's all I've heard, including a senator that thank Donald Trump personally for essentially saving her life right because of his his doubting the strength of them. Yeah. So we now know we now have the identity of the man that shot and killed Garrett Foster downtown. During that protest last weekend, and he is an active duty Army sergeant and has a lawyer out of Dallas and issued a press release last night that describes that you know what happened. He was working as ah, transportation, driver uber or lift driver. We're not quite sure. And it doesn't matter which company Other than the fact that he has a gun and may not be employed with that company anymore. Because they don't like Gabi policy deal. There could be a policy issue there anyway. He had just dropped. Somebody often was waiting to pick somebody up. And had made a turn on to Congress and didn't know there was a protest or march. Even going on at 10 o'clock at night. Let's be clear. That's not a march. It's 10 o'clock at night. That's a protest. Exactly. Roaches, marches and rallies happened at noon on the south steps of the Capitol. Nothing good usually happens with with the protest at night like that, especially when one of the persons participating is carrying out an AK 47. And pointing it at people, you know. So as as the man that defended himself turned onto Congress Avenue, he was immediately confronted by a large group of protesters. Rioters that were banging on his car, trying to open it up banging on his car. Garrett Foster walks over, according to Ah, the attorneys telling their version of the story. And motions to roll the window down. He does, And that's when Garrett Foster raises the weapon and points and inside the car, and that's where the man defended himself. License to carry shot the gun. The crowd was still going crazy. He pulled a few blocks a little bit further and called police s O. That is the situation we got this morning. I shouldn't we be holding our our city Council on Mayor. Ah, you know, ah, liable in. This is well for them not carrying about having to issue permits for these these things to happen. And just basically endorsing it and let it let it happen. I mean, no matter what, I don't think any permit would be issued for a 10 PM rally. Well, 10 PM peaceful rally, But we know nothing peaceful about this group looks clear. There's nothing peaceful. They're the ones that protest a C A B on everything. All cops are bad. They're the ones that break things. They're the ones that have well, trying to get in That man's car. Scared the hell out of him threatened him with a gun. How is that peaceful, But we know that our city cancel has given the thumbs up to in progress they have endorsed endorsed it and also given the fact that they're wanting to defund police and have less protection for all of us. They play a major role. They play a major role. Don't Garza casting accounts? A member who is going to go on to be possibly, You know, you're Travis County attorney. She has already said she would not prosecute any of these protesters and rioters. So so? So you're right. Yeah, she herself is basically endorsed the violence. They play a major role in in in the in the this incident of doubt about it that they they're allowing. This to go on and on and on and on show how would they not be? And they're sitting there saying that, you know, basically saying that that he was a martyr, and but the fact is they They're one of the reasons that the guy's dead 9 42 here on the tide of Don show and I'm just Jordan's show. "LBJ dot com. I saw a tweet this morning. Nancy Pelosi, says Shola. She'll resign if Trump wins in November. That's that's what she tweeted out. Somebody tweeted out that she said that Trump There you go. Yeah, Trump. It is 8 34 So glad you chose to join us here on the top of Don show. What update you on a story that we've been following and it has to do with Garrett Foster in the shooting death of Garrett Foster there downtown on Congress Avenue. You know it was last weekend, Foster was Tooken a K 47 to a so called protest. Which to me, it kind of makes it kind of a riot. You know what I mean? Well, that's the first thing I think have now when I hear protest something riot because that's the example. That said, That's what they that's what they mostly become right, You know, mostly Anyway, he was on Congress Avenue and you know the story about the gentleman that was turning on to Congress Avenue while the the the the He has an attorney. Now he's ah, on active duty. US Army sergeant. And and the details from his attorney, RS followed the attorney, by the way is Clinton broad and brought in a Michelson based out of Dallas, and they're typically criminal defense attorneys. And and, yes, so the details of the event involved their client who was Ah Transportation Network driver just drop somebody off, and he was working for a ride sharing company dropped off. The first client near Congress Avenue was looking for another request for a pick up our food delivery. When he turned right onto Congress Avenue from four Street and that's when he encountered this group of protesters. I guess that's how that's how cakes and refers to him. I don't know whatever you start gathering around a card, start banging on the car and trying to open the door. That you no longer protest and pouring in a k 47 in space. Yeah, Now you're a writer. Now you're committing a criminal offence is what you're doing, right? Well, here's here's how they described it. The statement says Perry was working. Just drop somebody off. And turned onto Congress encountered the protesters and prior to arriving at the corner of fourth and Congress. He didn't know that there was even a demonstration going on. No, Andi, and apparently the car was surrounded immediately. Garrett Foster quickly quickly approached the car and emotion with his assault rifle to roll the window down. And that's when he rolled his window down. But Garrett Foster then raised the business end of that long rifle the barrel into the car. And that's when the man defended himself, pulling his own a revolver, a license to carry and shot. Garrett Foster dad right there now, one thing we got in, and I don't know that this is going to have a lot of bearing on the case, but it is against policy for lift or uber, and we don't know who he drove for this point, but that's against policy to have that gun, But it doesn't matter in the end, but it's just Right, so he may lose his job. His network company, right wrong. Yeah. Yeah, But there you go. Now the attorney for the other man who says he when Foster Ray and win over? Yeah, Garrett Foster raised. His weapon is when he defended himself, and then he drove a little bit further and then called police. That's the story. Now there's multiple versions of this story. And what's you know what you know, We need more public. We need more video is what we need. We need some. We need some surveillance video. That's what we need, because there's going to be AH, Group of 200 people that say they witnessed this car plowing into a group of people. That's what they're going to say. I don't know if anybody nobody was injured. Nobody was run over. Nobody was run over the only person I know that was hurt. Was Garrett Foster. And they I guess they assume since he think he hot was hawking his horn and I understand hawking his horn because you have to start banging on my car is surrounded by a bunch of people. Yeah, and show, I think This is a group of folks that automatically are going to look for. That to be the case is forest trying to plow into is trying to most over and very, very aggressive. And I totally get the scenario of despite himself in that situation and started to panic, and I got to get out of here. Oh, good. Now having a k 47 in my face, and I might have to defend myself show I'm not just going to sit there and wait and wait and see if you're gonna shoot. No, no, Even with people pounded on my car Now this will get the hell out of there. This was a topic of discussion. In the budget meeting on Ah, with the City Council needed these virtual check ins where citizens could share their opinions, and most of the budget talk has been about de funding. The police And many of the speakers want to cut the police budget in half. In half. This one. This would become a war zone overnight issues laughable, it would it would become a war zone overnight. Well, anyway. Haven trey hand he spoke during the City council meeting, So I Damn Haven trade and from District five. Hand on Saturday. I washed my friend die. And great, frankly. It is disgusting that after he put himself in front of a gunman that drove through the crowd here can Cassidy have the guts? Stand up and say that he deserved it and the police are supposed to stop violent crime. Are you kidding Me? Yeah, That guy was very passionate last night. CASS today has now apologized. He's the president of the Austin Police Union apologize for a tweet that may have been a little bit insensitive. But I don't think he needed to apologize. Ah, he basically he.

"What Sergeant Daniel Perry was doing when he was confronted with that mob of protesters held a gun and shot Garrett Foster defending themselves third in like a month or something, And I don't know if you know is there a connection to the rod? Share? It just it just highlights How dangerous you know you're out the public mohr, you Your encounter things more well, and it's also a sign of. Unfortunately, this town is getting more dangerous. Unfortunately, we have more of these troops involved bullets flying through the air. And you're going to see you're going to see some big changes with the City Council. When it comes to guns in Austin, Texas. Well, they're going to try. What's his? What's so Ah, interesting about this is that we're getting more of these stories. At the same time. They're talking about de funding police. It just makes no sense. It's getting a little bit more well, and I think that people are feeling bad people. Crooks are feeling a little bit more emboldened right now, and people are a little bit more on edge and all this, so there's more potential. Solis defund. Pull the criminals have everything working on their on their behalf. Sure, do right, you got the You got a large portion of Austin, Texas. That doesn't like cops. I'm not in that category. But you got a large portion that don't like cops. Cops. They're you know, they're short staff. They're underfunded. And And now they're of. Well, they're some of our arbiter. Yeah, I mean, yeah, I would be better and feeling Ah, emboldened to do this feeling justified in their in their sick, twisted heads of the person who shot and killed Garrett Foster, who was participating in a protest downtown Austin last Saturday night. Has exposed his identity and the email from his attorney as Daniel Perry in them e Mail press release from while the law firm they say they represent of Army Sergeant Daniel Perry at a Fort Hood, and basically they describe a scenario in which Their client was driving downtown last Saturday night, drop someone off and was waiting for someone else to pick up and was making a turn on to Congress Avenue from fourth, and that's when he was confronted by a large group of protesters. And they quickly became rioters on they confronted his vehicle and we're pounding on the vehicle and apparently, according to the defense attorneys, they say that Garrett Foster Point his weapon at the vehicle and kind of signal to roll the window down, and that's when Sergeant Perry rolled his window down and then Garrett Foster allegedly pointed the gun into the vehicle. And that's when this train sergeant pulled his gun and shot Garrett Foster. Three shots. Body Mass dropped him right there and then continued walking, you know, driving down the street Ismaaiyl shot in him and called the police and, and here we are 1% self defense is what the attorneys are saying. Looks like it to me. But as you pointed out earlier there a couple of unfortunate for what could prove to be unfortunate tweets that he put out there. Ah, few weeks prior to their back on him was talking about tweets. You don't talk about rioters and protesters bring him to Texas will show him. You know, You don't mess with Texas. That kind of stuff. Now, this does. Yeah. Yeah, the prosecution will scour his social media and that's kind of a warning for everybody, right? The prosecution's going to scour his social media and use it against him. Yeah, they will. They will try to show this. I think we should also maybe scour Garrett Foster Social Media's. Well, It's amazing because there's a lot of stuff of right overnight that he was radicalized. Come on. I mean, of course, he was no Other than what? Why would he be down their king and make a 47? Of course This guy had had been heavily influenced in that direction. Otherwise he would not have been down that now What we have not heard was was that you don't want done. What? I'm hesitant to say those things. Oh, yeah, I really am. Yeah, Just considering how violent the left has been. No, I'm afraid to say certain things about Garrett Foster. I understand. I understand. And because these people this progressive left that this city Council endorses They'll come after you, man. They will come after. It's an angry group. Very angry. Yes, it is. 6 42 k. "And see it yourself right there in the video. So In my mind. If you're looking for that kind of a confrontation, you're looking to be a tough guy intimidating. Bluff. Force people into your way of thinking or at least not opposing what it is you're doing. What are you doing? Another recipe for disaster and do that disaster unfold in Austin, Texas, Saturday night. You bet it did. And there's there. There are quite a bit of videos out there, and there's certainly some additional still photos that I've seen. That are starting to make this fairly clear. I think it's way too early to draw any firm conclusions. But the story that everyone agrees on Is that a car? Much like what happened on the way to 25 in Aurora, Colorado. Here you're talking about more of a City street in Austin. And again from the pictures. It doesn't look like 66 3 is kind of the Austin version of Bourbon Street in New Orleans. A lot of clubs on the restaurants a lot of live music. And again, I was bragging on Austin. I've been there a while and probably would like a little less today. Tonight have historically 16 wonderful just to walk down. Stand in the doorway of a club decide whether that's the kind of music you want to go in and listen, and it's every conceivable kind of music. There is Austin considers itself the music capital in Texas, probably the music capital of the Southwest, and it deserves that. It's wonderful, you jazz blues, anything you want to hear, That's what's wonderful about it. But hear this protest is going on in that general area, if not on six street itself. Is a car driving toward the protest. And as the car approaches here is where the stories diverge. Because what the driver told police by the way, the driver It is cooperating, has been interviewed by police and has been released by the way. That doesn't mean he can't be charged, won't be charged with a crime in the future. But for now he's been released. But he said he approached this crowd. And he said Garrett Foster. Because Jared Foster did not like the way this person was driving there toward the protesters. Then rushed at his vehicle. And according to the driver, Pointed his AK 47 multiple times at the driver. The driver, fearing he was about to be shot. Pulled a handgun. Fired several shots, striking Derek Foster three times. And he ultimately died in a local hospital. If you listen to some of the deal and protesters They'll tell you a completely different story. I'll tell you a story that Oh, no. The Garret Foster was there. Yeah, he was carrying a rifle, but he was there with his disabled wife was in a wheelchair. And as the car approached, the protesters scared, Foster was simply concerned about the safety of his disabled wife. So he was pushing her out of the way trying to avoid her being injured by this crazy motorists who was endangering the Lawful peaceful protesters. And trying to get her out of the way when the motorist randomly started shooting shots into the crowd and happen to strike period Foster three times kill him. The video and some of the Still photos that I've seen. Looks to me at this stage of the investigation put the light of that there because there is a fairly clear picture because he's fairly distinctive. He's got a kind of khaki colored hat on. He's got a black A balaclava. This just was down around his neck. He's pulled up over his face to uses a mask. It's pretty clearly him. He's got a fairly distinctive rifle with a skeletonized stock. And looks clearly to me anyway. To be him, Ames leveling his rifle directly at a core only if you feed away from and I got to tell you I'd consistently carry a firearm. I'm gonna have a firearm in my car if I look up, and there's naked, 47 pointed at my face is on. Sitting in my car. Under the law where I live in the law in virtually every place. That allows me to use deadly force to defend myself. Do I have a reasonable belief? I'm facing serious bodily injury or death? That's typically the test in most jurisdictions when somebody's leveling a rifle at my face. Hell, yes, there is. That's why you don't level rifle so people if you don't expect him to protect themselves. That's what happened. Don't Foster is now dead. I got to tell you when you put all those things together. That becomes a bit of a recipe that becomes not only arrest me for that to happen, it becomes almost inevitable when you put all those ingredients together. Get people that are angry. Give people are upset. People are frustrated getting people there that are openly attempting to intimidate people. And scare people. You have people on both side of that equation, who are armed? What's gonna happen? How is that? Not predictable? How is that not even inevitable. We're going to take a break. We come back. We'll talk about another couple of incidents. But then I think the discussion here It's why are all these factors coming together so consistently? Why is the same scenario playing out as between violent protesters and or violent counter protests or motorists? Why is that all playing out? What's the government doing and not doing that directly feeds into this And what's the trajectory of this issue? Where is this going to go? What are we likely to see? Going forward with things being the way they are. And with government being so hands off on this issue. We'll get into that The remainder of this hour shift gears a little bit from there. It's guy Relford in for Tony Cats on Tony cast today. When we get some news Try the dynamite burger.

"Martin, Melinda and Ed Clements. You're getting text messages about the death of Garrett Foster Saturday night on Congress Avenue downtown. Yeah, we were discussing whether or not Congress was actually blocked off. And I've seen several texts that are saying it wasn't blocked off for this protest, But they do have orange cones along the street that were meant to kind of say, OK, this is a bicycle. Olein. Someone that live that works downtown every day says This has been causing confusion since they put it up for anyone trying to turn onto Congress from these side streets, So it wasn't Per se a barricade for the protests. It's just they have orange cones up to mark bicycle lanes. Bicycle petition healthy streets that they decided to put in interesting. All right, keep the text messages coming or you can call us 51283605 90 Shauna. Good morning, You're on K. L B. J. Hello. Good morning. Thank you for taking my calls. So I saw a report this morning. It was you a report And there is a guy named Haram Gilbert, who posted Tio thank book Post. And they have it embedded in that article indicating how he was 10 feet away from the shooting. What he is a former cars that are waiting on the green light right there at that intersection on Congress. When the lights are green, the car they kind of proceed, but because the marchers are in the middle of the street, marking, they start telling cars to stop even While they're trying to proceed with the green life, so marchers they're getting in front of the cars and marking, even though the light is green, and then someone started honking and Gibraltar turn his video recording for the car start sobbing. And you can see the marchers backtrack and start forming that vehicle. And then two seconds later fires a shot We're going on. So based on what we know so far, and your viewing of that What are your thoughts? What happened here? What's the bottom line? Shauna. I think that's a driver felt threatened because you could obviously see in the video that protesters were agitated by that car that was honking. They backtrack from marching. They went to that vehicle to start swarming that vehicle. If that had happened to me, and I was in that predicament late at night, I would feel threatened. Yes. And if you have someone pointed a rifle at you, you would. Really Yes. Yes. Absolutely All right, Shauna. Thank you. Have a good one. Vivian is in Central Austin, 10. 34. Hi, Vivian. How are you today? I am good. I'm listening to all of this Is Monica about it is that I was now their I've been going down there like a damn them every night, And sure enough when they were at the seventh Street, where the you know the office, the police department. They were protest Ng Ah white car turned down the wrong way. It was a lady driver and they belong to her car and was beating on it if we took off Me and my daughter want to go down there and just see it. When you say when you say they swarmed the car, do you? Who do you mean? Is that okay? Protesters? All right, continue, please. And they were they were beating on the car. And the lady has She got scared? You had a wood ago, so and also they were standing there watching this. And sure enough, he kept going and they stopped at a gate That's on the right hand side on. They just they were being her car with their bikes and whatever they had stuff like that. Daryl Any other night there in front of the police station Growing, um ah, frozen water bottles, cussing him out and everything else you say Curtis Garret Foster Group. And the lady that his wife or whatever she is, and I will tear you down there. Well, I see I have been both of them and staring up there. I seen a guy with Auntie for four and I have discovered I have video. And this is a very like aggressive, dangerous group have been down there and I have even been down that boring cooking, you know, going to work. We'll include a light and they won't allow my truck. And they were like they light was green like the lady just got off the guy arm. A white male pulled his bike in front of my current and other protesters down year foster protesters. Put their hands out and yelling, Black lives matter, Brother block! So I'm like, no delighted to go. No. The dude put his bike in front of my car and he stepped to defy. Randall was like, like, You know what? This is what it is. I mean, you're like the officers. They're just like That you look you can send in the world, So I like a lady just got off. I believe they're sure because that is how I went. They did not block off the road occurrence, and I said the car was tryingto go and I feel like that person. You know that Jared guy he's video literally saying how you know people are USS wide on people in a car. He has his done. I think that he was hyped up and that he was gonna make something happen. What group in doing all this time that they've been protesting and often, Vivian, where you were you down there when the shots started ringing out Saturday. I was down there. I think I was, like, literally down there and I'm down. They are all about violence there about like, I hate to say Look, little videos taken Make and post to this dinner with the guys. Uh, Facebook or Twitter. Whatever it is, but he posted little videos, but they hype the crowd to do violence thing, tour citizens and police officers. So they get a video of this guy. They just took a little step higher. His garret Foster because happened a brain his AK 47 out And prior to that he was talking about how you know I can't do police officers, But, you know, I know better than that. But that I believe he did point the gun. Not the guy to be on the area. I would have done the same thing. I'm sorry. How far were you away from the shots when you heard them ringing out? I think the whole group they were just walking, like literally walking in talking back. Anybody going in front of collars and everything else, But I was parked and I heard I heard all the shots hurt, So I'm watching the horn and everything else. I just thought, Oh, well. Like this is something going bad. I've seen all the police officers. The cars come by the police officers on on a horse. You know it was about five or six more horse back and it was just bad down there. It was really bad. This's right. I mean, this is going on around America They were born on. You're right. This is what happens when you have a city council that has decided we're going Tio allow these kinds of protests which are not protest or violent. We're going to allow them to do it without getting a permit. We're going to tell the police to stand down, not do anything and allow these this to continue to happen. And then you're going to be shocked and you're going to actually go down like we've had. Some City council members do go down at this visual last night, and they were going to put it into this. This is what they started. We don't pay them to go down and take sides because this is how I feel. And I'm a black woman. I feel like when you say I support black lives about better. I feel like this. You just said every white person or every taxpayer like basically, I'm around more white on the black side. I know it sucks to be white and very does. I mean that bias You cannot support because it was K k k down there. And they were doing everything that black lives matter. Um, Wow. You know, looting this neck. What's your get behind ever say I support them? You can't. You can't be bias. We don't pay you for that. All right. Ah, Vivian. "Of shots. Now. It was reported last night that the 1st 5 shots you heard were from Garrett. Reports today suggest that maybe it wasn't Garrett Foster. But there is a video and still image evidence that suggests that Mr Foster pointed his Long rifle at the car. You heard honking their C. They're marching in the streets, obstructing traffic against the law. And people want to get home. That's kind of how it happens Driving. You want to go home. You want to go to wherever you're going and you're right to protest does not infringe upon that person's right of moving about freely. Going about their lives. Will Garrett Foster was killed the second round of shots there. Five shots from one Gun and three shots return fire from another gun. The difference in the sound of the guns, one of them at least one of those last three shots hit Garrett Foster and killed him. The motorist. Who had the gun allegedly pointed at him and was fired upon. By somebody in the crowd. Returned fire. Thankfully, they missed the motorist with the 1st 5 shots and the other person returned fire, according to the reports. As of now, killing Garrett Foster. This is a direct result of They Democratic Party establishment not condemning What's going on. They tolerate it because it's useful to them. The protests without permits. You know, it's the right of the people to peace from peaceably shall not be infringed, not the right of the people to get together and riot. Throw things throw project that is not peaceful to start fires and buildings. To obstruct traffic is not peaceful. Out in Colorado, another incident Of people trying to block a freeway. And somebody trying to work their way through the crowd to get to where they're going. For whatever reason they don't need to justify why they want to get past the crowd. They don't have to care about your stupid cause. Somebody in that crowd open fired on that car missing that car. And hitting a member of their own group. Again Idiots with guns. And then this one. ABC News reports three members of an armed militia injured and shooting at Brianna Taylor protest. Now I can't tell you the name of the group as it involves the F bomb, but says three members of an armed militia were shot in an apparent accident at a protest calling for justice for Brianna Taylor in Louisville, Kentucky. On Saturday afternoon. All 33 people, all members of the N F A C. It's thie, not bleeping around coalition. It is apparently in Kentucky. There's a black militia group that calls themselves they not bleeping around coalition suffered non life threatening injuries, according to the Louisville Metro Police Department. The shooter was also a member of the militia militia. The group's founder, John Grandmaster, J. Johnson, told ABC News that members of the militia were inspecting firearms prior to the demonstration. When a woman's weapon was accidentally discharged. Now, maybe just one bullet. Maybe it's the magic bullet hit three people. Or maybe the weapon was discharged three times somehow. It doesn't really matter. But Democratic politicians are encouraging this encouraging this crab, fostering an atmosphere where people are bringing weapons with them to these protests. Now they're legally allowed to carry it. That's fine, but They're doing it out of fear. And they're firing on people. Out of fear that suddenly somebody is going to hurt them. And they end up hurting somebody else getting somebody else killed and still no Democrat has come out and condemned. These riots. These protests calmed it down, tried to quell it. Why? Because it's useful. To them. They want this. They need this. They crave this. They see this as Helping them. Come November. It's really amazing what's going on out there and that our so called political leaders are not. Caring about this. They don't give a damn You'd think that they would be concerned about Human life. But then they are not. They really are not Mayor Libby Shaft out in Oakland. Has been Mayor Libby Shaft. That name sounds familiar. She's the mayor who Seems like a lifetime ago. But like a year year and 1/2 ago, she was putting out official warnings to the illegal aliens in Oakland saying, Isis coming, there's gonna be ice raids. Look out. Now they were seeking people with federal warrants. This wasn't just your average normal, minding their own business, illegal aliens that Democrats would have you believe are all of them. These air people with federal criminal warrants for violent crimes. She warned them all. They got away. She was very proud of herself. She gave big speeches about how progressive she wasn't how wonderful it was that she was doing this. Well. The other day, her home got vandalized. Nash's is woke is what Khun B's a public official short of being out there and setting fires herself for throwing projectiles at police herself. She couldn't get more woke than this. And it still wasn't enough. As Oakland is considering de funding the police. They wanted to make their voices heard this mutant mob, so about 30 of them showed up at her house in the middle of the night. And they treated it like it was a federal courthouse. They were launching fireworks, and they spray painted everywhere. It's going to cost her A lot of money is a nice house. You're mayor of Oakland. It's not you. Not too many poor people running for mayor of anywhere. She got a dose of her own medicine. She after that. Referred to the group as committing acts of terrorism, terrorizing her and her neighbors..

"Three things I think you need to know, you know, A lot of people think it's myth until it all of a sudden happens at their home where they are remember The Olympia, Washington mayor She actually had a your home was vandalized. I wrote the spray painted BLM on it, even though she had rainbow flags and a black lives matter. Placard on her front on her front porch. They still went up in vandalized spray painted her house graffiti. I mean, that's what happened. The mob is they They're relentless there. Ridiculous. Um, I think was the Oakland mayor Had her house vandalized is well, they came on her block. Fine. Apparently some AH, some slip sports radio host in Seattle. Right? He, uh What is it? Paul Gallant or Gallant? Paul Gallant seasons. Seattle sports radio host. Got some attention for commenting on a trump tweet Trump tweeted out back in June, June 12 Seattle mayor Remember when they had the big chop Chazz thing? Right. Trump tweets out about Seattle mayor saying the anarchist takeover the cities of summer love. Is that these terrorists burn and pillage our cities they think is wonderful. Even even even the death must And now Seattle takeover blah, blah, blah. So this guy responded back, Walk through last night out of curiosity and saw no burning, pillaging our deaths. Chill dog, The chill dog. That's of the sports radio host it back on June 12th right? Well, apparently, he went back to his apartment complex. That, of course in Seattle had a Starbucks underneath and he walks up to it. This weekend. And the Starbucks was completely destroyed. He took a picture of it took video of it. Windows smashed in. People went in there and just destroyed everything inside the Starbucks. And he took video of it. And then he wrote tweeted out the video and he wrote, came home to my apartment complex. The Starbucks underneath has been destroyed, and cops are telling us to stay away in case something explosive is inside. Chill dog. Nothing to see here, Dog. Right Children, Dog. Any tweets out unrelated is a fire a few blocks from me, which had freaked me out. When I saw it from the highway zero clue what's going on, but the cat and I are getting the bleep out. You ready for this after he talked to chill dog. What's going on, Pete? Okay, He then tweets out. I feel like I need to buy a firearm because clearly this is going to keep happening. 00 Now you're on. But you know what? This is what it takes. This is what it takes. Welcome to the party, pal. I feel like I need to buy a fire Ah, month ago. Well, I should say, probably close to six weeks ago. He's telling Trump Chill dog. There's nothing going on here in this charge as chop and then when his apartment complex Gets destroyed. The Starbucks has destroyed cops saying stay away because something could explode. I feel like I need to buy a firearm. This is good. This is going to keep happening. Enough is enough. It looks like a block party down the street for me really angry right now. Oh, No kidding. And then apparently, he was getting some pushback from some AA people on Twitter because it's successful, right? And then this sports radio's tweets out seemed harmless. Over the last few weeks, there has been a lot of changes on that front that have swayed by perception. Would you like to apologize to the president? He writes the chill dog responses have been very funny because he told the president there going backto me. Chill dog. I mean, come on, man. Chill dog. Not that big of a deal chilled Aug. By the way, ABC News reports 59 Police officers were injured. During the violent writes in Seattle. On Saturday alone, 47 people were arrested. Not that bad. Not that man. Did you hear about this one, writes Because, as you know, black lives matter right there, mostly peaceful protests and black lives matter. Regina Romero, the rat radical mayor, she still supports And apparently, nobody in town has the guts to ask her. You think it's time? To condemn black lives matter. Because they were violent. What the other vial and it's not even black people there. Violence white people did hear what happened in Austin. Currently in Austin. There was a guy walking around his name is Garrett actually spelled it wrong? There were two teas Garrett Foster. Walking around with an AK 47. How do I know that Because he said it. I was being interviewed by somebody on their video on her phone, right? Walking around Austin with an AK 47. They said, Why do you have it? He said, because they don't let us protest. So got to do it here. And he said, a lot of people think we're wrong. They're ah, there to their bunch of Ah Blank willows. You know what I'm talking about? You're too big a blank willows. To say anything to us. Currently is married to a quadriplegic gob. Listen for that, right? So, um, Apparently, they wear out their protest Ng in Austin on the streets. When Ah, a driver wanted to get through a wooden let the driver through. So the guy was honking the horn and this Garrett Foster approach this guy and it looks like on video. Then if he shot or nobody he approached the driver with his a K 47 pointed at him. So the driver in Austin took out his gun and shot him and killed him..

Why did he say Well, I can't. He's asked by the interviewer there. Why do you have a gun and said one of the things he says Well, I can't shoot cops because I'm dead. I mean some dead so you know Why would he say that? He's looking at you that enter his mind. Sounds like he was looking for trouble. I thought I've got to tell you. I agree. I think the guy was just ready. And as soon as this this this car pulled into the Ah protest and not don't think intentionally. I think he was just he saw what he wanted to see. And he pointed the gun at the guy and you pointed your gun at the wrong person. Well, here's what happened after that. That conversation there on Facebook, Garrett Foster and couple of other 100 others started marching. Up Congress Avenue and about fourth Street's A car tried to turn onto Congress Avenue. They were that car was greeted by hundreds of protesters banging on the car shaking the car, you hear? Ah, honk, and then you hear the gunfire. That first barrage was actually the guy in the car shooting. The second barrage is somebody else, said the crowd that starts shooting at the fleeing vehicle. "By 7 17 Todd Jeffries and don prior Goodness, let's give them Let's give them some business, and this is a business related story with another rent payment coming up. Austin has joined Travis County and extending the moratorium on evictions. The city's order blocks landlords from issuing notices to vacate are removed belongings from an apartment rent is still due at some points, and the city has approved literally almost $20 million in aid over the past few weeks alone. So what Help is out there now. Also, a petition is well. A petition to get a multi $1,000,000 proposal on the Austin ballot has gotten the curiosity of the Austin City Council. As to whether or not you would support that alongside a multibillion dollar transit bond in November. Mayor Steve Adler and several counts. Members have expressed some support for a separate mobility bond package, which a coalition of local groups say there should be no less than 720 million. The City Council has already drafted a resolution to consider the idea already you've been, you know, you could be voting on a 7 to $10 billion bond package for public transportation on the November ballot. So there you go. You know, it seems like it would be in the City Council's on the mayor's best interest to get people back to work, not consider trying to enforce any Kind of shut down in the future of business related cove it so we get traffic bad again, right? Oh, people might be motivated, Tio, because right now, none of us are really We're all getting around town. Just fine. Thank you very much, And we're going to get people to go to work to pay the tax on this $10 billion. Dad. There you go. Also in business News, Tex Mex change. Sureties has a new owner about that. And despite bands from some locally owned companies, the winning bidder is out of North Carolina. It's a private equity firm. Therese found a Chapter 11 bankruptcy early this year after opening in Austin. Back in 1977. There's when they opened up. Wow. Well, so many years ago, I was suggested this new company. Ah, good move for them might be to make the food actually good in the future. You don't think it was good. I thought it was it was. It used to be used to be have a great reputation. I think they had their moment, but I never experienced it. I always expect Yes, it is less than mediocre Tex Mex food that it that it was always like. If anybody suggests going to securities, it was like I guess where you go get drunk. He treated treaties always had a reputation. That's where you go get drunk, right martinis, the Mexican martinis and margaritas. Yeah, Yeah, it's but I never never wanted there never crave their food, so hopefully they'll do something good, with more and more Americans turning to the gig economy amid shorting unemployment's long time. Big workers say they're struggling to compete. Buoyed by a spike in demand companies such as is to CART door dash Amazon and ship it. They've increased hiring bigtime. But many workers say the ships are being snapped up faster than ever before, and an issue likely to be exacerbated by the end of that $600 a week. Unemployment boost With the pandemic up ending the job market in the U. S. Has marked 18 straight weeks with ah 1,000,000 initial job jobless claims. So Yeah, the folks are getting pretty excited about this gig. Economy get desperate, I guess. Going out there and, you know, trying to find something on the side? Yeah, that's right now, despite a crushing blow to travel Southwest Airlines, they will not lay off or furlough or cut pay or any benefits to any of their employees this year. That's pretty cool. That's what CEO Gary Kelly had to say it in a memo. Yeah, he says. The move comes is the federal bailout related restrictions on airline layoffs? Setting into September with both United and American Airlines is sending out warnings to their employees. Some 17,000 workers at Southwest have already taken voluntary separation packages. An extended time off is the airline said to be losing about $20 million a day over this pandemic. Well, I got some people that are taking some time off in a retiring early. Yeah, I guess they you know, sweetened the deal to make it good for him. I don't know, Southwest or whatever it is good or bad. They always seem to do it better than anybody else, and they always seem to be smarter and They know how to. Ah, I don't know how to do it. And obviously they know how did Teo obviously they? They were in a better position than a lot of other airlines were in. I'm ready for this. There you go now you up to date in the business world is 7 27 21 Brian is in North Austin on the tide of Don show. Brian. Good morning. Hey, Brian. Good morning at a place with shooting. You know, the work cause of this is our City Council has advocated the responsibility to manage these protest when you have unpermitted protests, you know when you get a permit to have a mass gathering that police protection is a big part of it, and by having people just gather in March, the police are unable to protect people They aren't able to block off. Roads until you end up with cars and people in close proximity, you know here? Yeah. Listen, you know, I might agree with you on most of that, but they did have a police escort of this this march Saturday night. They've been The police have been there every night with these protein and then they started marching and they had they had a police escort. According to according to those officials, they I agree. And our police have done spectacular job. Yes, by telling about being told to stay out of it. Minimize, you know the these air not planned. They may have had an export. But whatever they had wasn't suitable. Should keep a car from being being in a group of protesters. And you're absolutely right. That would scare the heck out of me about the third shooter. The third gun owner? Yeah. That was shot at a fleeing car. You know that? That person seems That person is cooperating with police and they've conference get all the guns involved. According to police, Bryant Manly, I think once you know at a fleeing vehicle now, sure, you know, I mean, dangerously as it concealed carry. Yeah. I mean, my God. Word of those bullets go. Yeah. Yeah, And I think one key point here, Brian and tired is the fact again. This this the driver of this vehicle and in the shooter Ah Ah Suspect is he's been called, Called 911 themselves. They got to a safe distance, pulled over called 911 that that tells me head Yeah. Yeah, they had to be scared of mind. I think you guys in a seven pointed at all but some Yahoo, you know on the you know, on the road, but that guy's intent was to mow people down with his car. I don't think he would be calling 911 and saying, Here's what happened? No. You know, I think you would have had people hit. Yeah, I have a car and I decided to drive over. There's only one person that was hurt on LeGarrette. Foster was hurt. Good to hear from you all that gunfire. Only Garrett Foster was the one that was hard drive. Let's keep good to hear from me, Brian Brian, 51283605 90. I just don't like the reaction from the City Council to all of this so that in more fuel to the fire in the debate there, talking, siding with the protesters and basically The mayor says this was a gun issue. We got too many guns on the streets, he says. Greg Hussars, considering this Garrett Foster kind of a martyr in the movement, well, and and there's a go fund me, Paige that's been established for for his fiance who's disabled in a wheelchair already Wass who he was, I guess down there with yes, which is like reaching $100,000.200.
