Governments are going to be constrained if and when we have a global recession, if and when a bad thing happens. They have a lot less room to run fiscally because of the increase in public debts worldwide. As usual, you've been upfront on this and the phrase that I hear from you is, and say you it with respect to the institutional pressures in our political leaders, the modern medicine that we have, what is the more stronger medicine we need to take to get control of our debt in our ratios. I think we're going to have to learn to live with these high levels of public debt that the policymakers advice are getting from the Bank for International Settlements and the IMF about bringing down debt ratios. That's unrealistic. We're not going to be able to grow out of these higher debt ratios. We're not going to have a more favorable real interest rate going forward than we've had the in past. We're not going to be able to run primary budget surpluses for long periods of time, so I think we're going to have to tiptoe, likely through this problem, and manage these heavy debts. Tiptoe, your words. Manage. Other people might say, this ends in disaster. Barry, what's the argument against that? For countries like the United States, there is a big demand out there from foreign central banks and the international private sector for US Treasury bonds, so I think the US government is an exception to the general rule. "AP's sports and Mike Reeves, it was a frantic finish at the Indianapolis 500, our Tom McKay reports. Josef Newgarden used a one lap shootout to grab the lead from 2022 champ Marcus Ericsson to win the Indy 500. You know, I wasn't looking to take anyone else out of the race, but I was going to put my car on the line to win. And I was either going to win the race or I was going to end up in the wall. Major League Baseball the rays win a wild one over the Dodgers in Tampa Bay, correspondent Steve Carney provides the details. The Tampa Bay Rays used a 7th inning RBI ground out by wander Franco to break a ten ten tie and defeat the Los Angeles Dodgers 11 to ten. Both starters got hit around as Gavin stone allowed 7 runs in two innings of work, while Josh Fleming allowed ten runs in 6 innings, including 5 home runs, Tampa Bay finishes at ten game home stands 7 and three, while the Dodgers complete their longest road trip of 2023 with a four and 6 Mark. The Yankees used a 7 run third inning to defeat the Padres ten to 7, Aaron judge and Harrison Bader hit home runs to support winning pitcher Garrett Cole, who is now 6 and zero. This was a good team win today for sure. I mean, being able to kind of subdue them through the middle innings and keep the momentum. He's a round number. I don't know. Yeah, I mean, listen, people are going to pay what they think somebody is worth. And each team is going to do that. I'm amazed that football hasn't caught up to where baseball is. In what way? Well, because the price is the salaries? There aren't any, you have guaranteed salaries which are much lower than the salaries that you have in baseball. You know you're going to get that. It's like, we need more guaranteed salaries and football, but in baseball? Yeah. I can see that happening. Yeah. We'll see. I mean, he's got to stay with him the Yankees just has to happen. Make that happen there, Michael Barr. All right, okay. So folks on TV today down in Washington whether your Yankees jacket on. Oh, good friend. Grandma was tearing up. But that's our topic. He played the night for 62. I'm sorry. No, not the off tonight, but and then they host the Orioles on Friday. Over the weekend. Yeah. "That's the latest. I'm Brad's secret. The mets have really dominated the Phillies all year. On Saturday, the mets had a chance to get two games on the Phillies instead they would only get one they won the opening game of the double header final score 8 to two the nightcap though was pretty much all Philadelphia as Bayley falter through 6 innings of two hit ball Kyle schwarber had a triple and a double final score in the nightcap four to one. So it's a double header split for the mets. They will close the series on Sunday. Taiwan walker will not be their starter. He's got some back problems. So buck show Walter is going to pull him for that game. The Yankees just continue to struggle and stumble around here after the all star break. They lose to Toronto final score 5 to two Saturday and the frustrations starting to catch up to the Yankees Aaron Boone Garrett Cole both kind of losing their tempers at various points. Cole is now 9 and 6 and the Yankees are now watching that lead over Toronto shrink to just 7 games back on July 8th. It was 15 and a half games. Let's move on to the WNBA, the liberty trying to win back to back games in Chicago. It did not happen Saturday. The Chicago sky thumped them 100 to 62. It's a best of three series, split at one a piece. They will be coming to New York for game three. Don't know when that game is yet, but the winner is advancing in the WNBA playoffs. with Alex Steele and Paul Sweeney on Bloomberg radio I'm pretty good at in for Paul Sweeney What we hear each and every week at this time Tapping into our Bloomberg intelligence analyst covering some 2000 companies and 130 industries worldwide Molson Coors may be on the brink of an upgrade thanks to a long list of improving metrics that's according to Bloomberg intelligence senior credit analyst Mary Ross Gilbert she joins us now Mary thank you as always for taking the time Let's start off with a very simple question We're simple for me maybe not simple for you Give us a breakdown on Molson Coors balance sheet today Hi kriti Yes thank you for that So most of course as we know it was created in 2016 when Molson cores acquired the remaining 58% stake of Miller's cores it didn't already own from SAB Miller for $12 billion taking on about 7 billion of debt This raised its total debt to about 12 billion which was almost 5 times combined EBITDA that's earnings before interest taxes depreciation After losing market share over the next 5 years amid a slump in U.S. beer consumption at least until COVID then the loss of sales from bars and restaurants on shutdowns Molson core's EBITDA fell about 17% However thanks to the company's high cash conversion which we define as excess cash flow after dividends divided by its EBITDA debt has been cut by 42% since the merger Today the maker of Coors light and Miller lite has about 7 billion of funded debt This includes 5 billion in U.S. dollar bonds 800 million of Euro bonds and 1 billion of Canadian dollar bonds So even though EBITDA is down near 2.1 billion net leverage has improved almost two turns to just above three times So how are things shaping up for 2022 The rest of the year Yeah so in 22 Molson expects sales and EBITDA to rise So this will be the first time since the merger And as it continues to prioritize lowering debt we think net leverage could drop to 2.7 times And that puts it well within solid triple-b territory This is one notch above its current bottom triple B range S&P indicated to us that it needs proof that Molson can sustain margins and continue to improve via innovation S&P also said that Molson has exceeded expectations in its ability to execute And thus could raise Molson's rating outlook to positive from stable in a few quarters as the first step toward an upgrade S&P also considers the downside risk to be low We think upgrades may occur in 2023 Let's talk about inflation We are seeing rising housing prices rising oil prices of course off the war in Ukraine even more pressure when it comes to food prices And a lot of the input costs for a lot of food companies for beverage companies like Molson Coors talk to us about how Molson Coors is positioned this year specifically in light of the war Ukraine Yeah so this is a very very good question This is top of mind for investors In the U.S. Molson cores this is their largest market It's about 70% of sales And they hold the number two share in beer or about 21% as they report it That's about half the share commanded by the king of beers ABM bev known for its Budweiser brand Key input costs for Molson include barley hops aluminum bottles and corn Plus they're experiencing higher transportation and labor costs including shortages But going back to these main inputs as you are highlighting especially with Ukraine and Russia Barley other grains and aluminum they're up 40 to 60% year on year But Molson expects to offset most inflation headwinds headwinds with higher sales of higher margin above premium beer And what it calls its beyond beer category which is mostly comprised of seltzers But also price increases are helping In the first quarter Molson raised prices three to 5% And it could institute more if necessary For hedging management indicated it's very comfortable with its coverage in 2022 Because it usually hedges over three years with the most coverage in the first year a little less in the second and even less than the third That's why they think they're well positioned this year And then there's a 110 million in cost savings So when you take all these together most of EBITDA is still expected to be up But less than the anticipated mid single digit rise in sales So that means their margin is going to be down But going back to this high cash conversion and to give you an idea it's almost 40% of EBITDA after dividends That may go lower And according to our sensitivity analysis even though Molson anticipates higher EBITDA this year if things get worse greater than expected it could withstand as much as a 6% hit to its EBITDA and still achieve net leverage target below three times So they do have some cushion Fascinating stuff Bloomberg intelligence analyst Mary Ross Gilbert we thank you as always for making the time for us and your very busy day Coming up on the program we dig into earnings even more This time focusing on the oil and gas industry you're listening to Bloomberg intelligence on Bloomberg radio providing in depth research and data on.

"A lot of shorts out floating in the pipeline, but you can not make your 2022 decision based entirely around eventually accommodating future prospects because nobody's ready for 2022 except Corey Seager. I don't hate it. There is a sense of inevitability growing here, though, the Yankees have chosen their man. It's surprising. A lot of people picking Trevor story because he's gonna cost a 150 million to $200 million less. Some people picking Carlos Correa because he is the prize of the class. Clearly, I would say if the ages are willing to spend, but not on Correa that says a lot about what they think about Correia's personality. And I'm going to trust them on this one because as we've hopefully learned by now, personalities do matter, Garrett Cole and Bret Gardner screaming at each other as stupid as a story that was. Kind of seems like it mattered. Joey Gallo having OCD and laying his clothes out, absolutely doesn't matter. Shout out to Joey Gallo. That's one of the dumbest things I've ever read. Shouldn't have been written. But chemistry is real, it exists. And so if, you know what? I'm more committed to Aaron judge than I am to Carlos Correia. I would assign Carlos Correa, but if they're not gonna do it, there's a reason why. And if they're willing to spend money on somebody and it's Corey Seeger, then that tells me the money is not a concern at all. It is not going to pile up. There will be no repercussions in 5 years because you don't do this with the memory of a goldfish. You do this knowing full well that you do not care about the consequences. So if the Yankees don't care, I don't care either. Yeah, before I get into my opinion on here, I want to say that I think it's great that we're talking about dropping bills because that's what the problem was the last two years. Yankees clearly had holes that could have been patched up with just like one or two signings that would have brought them a little bit over..

"Here are the numbers on Gerrit Cole at Fenway Park this year. One and two, 6, 19 ERA. He has allowed 5 home runs at Fenway this year, and he has a 1.63 whip. Those are not good. No, and I think that's got to be really encouraging. That's got to be really encouraging if you're the Red Sox. And if you go back, he made one start in each year 1718 and 19 that first start, he allowed 5 runs in 5 innings. That next start two and 6, the 2019 start he was actually good. He allowed no runs through 5 innings but he did allow 6 hits. So not his favorite ballpark to pitch in. No. And in pitching so mental, right? And I think when you know you have no margin for error like this in this one game playoff, that's the kind of thing that can sneak into somebody's head. And I don't, look, I haven't watched every start Garret Cole has ever made. But I've watched him in some big games when I watch him. He's a very good pitcher. He does one of the best. He does seem like a guy that if things start going wrong, it can snowball for mentally. He doesn't seem like the most mentally tough. You know, he doesn't have that killer instinct that you sometimes see for maces. So if that, if Ben was in his head and the Red Sox get to him early, they could potentially make it a long day for him. Or short day, depending on how you look at it. Yeah, I mean, I just think it's pretty fascinating that Aaron Boone decided to go with Garrett Cole, but I mean, again, in all fairness to these managers, they had to make some decision based on the next couple of days. Without knowing how Sunday was going to unfold, right? I mean, they had to have their best picture ready in a one game playoff. And whether or not he's done well at Fenway Park, you ask Aaron Boone, that probably immaterial at this point. We just expect our best players to rise to the top and that's what they're going to expect out of Garrett Cole. And I think when you look at the Yankees pitching staff too, I mean, yeah, he hasn't been great at Fenway Park, but who else are you going to trust? Most of the guys have an ERA around four, four and a half. Who are you going to go to in that game, even with the splits at Fenway Park, do you feel better about? I still think he's their best option. All things considered. I don't need to come out and say, oh, they're idiots for pitching them, but it is something you have to consider. If you're the Yankees, and you're up by one run, you're going to tell me you're going to trust a rolled as Chapman, right?.

"But our concern about what's going on with Eric hole right now given the circumstances because this is the guy that's got to get us to the next step. And I just don't know how we'll put it this way. The bullpen better be all hands on deck for that day. The freaking bullpen, I do want to talk about this to the thing with Gerrit Cole, frankly, is obviously he's had struggles for a while now, whether it's the hamstring, whether it's mental, whether it's fatigue, whatnot. I'm glad it is Garrett Cole struggling and not some flash in the pan like Robbie ray struggling at the tail end of the season, trying to get it together. Because if it were, let's say Nestor Cortez junior is getting bombed all September. I love him. I love the story. I love what he's giving us. But I definitely don't have full faith in a mental checkbook to be like, masters got October. He's been good his whole career in October. Like there's no, you know, I've got nothing to reference. Cole I know is Derek Cole. Nothing changes that you can't say that losing his substances ruined his season, potentially, it's messing with his mind a little bit now. It's probably something that's in the back of his head at all times. But his numbers since the sticky substance band, he's up to like a 4.15 ERA or something, but he's up to he's past 6 in September because of whatever else is bug him. So you take that out and there's really, you know, hasn't been that large a cause and effect since that moment outside of just a couple rough starts. He hasn't been perfect this year. I would be, I don't think he deserves to be the same. If you like garrick's had a great year with a couple of really brutal public stinkers..

"He tried to back in and said a run up. I mean, it wasn't good, folks. And if you're going to use Luke voigt, he should not be playing first base that much is obvious, especially not in a pivotal series like this. Have to tighten up that defense. That's why the laboratory is saying, it's over and over again. It goes to my mind both ways. It's like, I know he's hitting 300 with almost no power over the last month or so. He's been serviceable by the defense at shortstop he's unplayable. I know, but it's like a base. He's okay. Yeah, but what about that double play ball when he threw the first? This is what this double. That's why you don't give up on labor. What about the non competitive at bat the inning before? I don't want anybody to give up on glaber, but I do just want to don't be a prisoner of the moment. It's been a roller coaster ride for a reason. And he still doesn't look like the 5th overall prospect in baseball. All you all you're hoping for at this point is service ability, which is not laboratories the ceiling. I don't want to give up on them either, but one double does not a season make. So let's keep our eyes on that moving forward. Every inning he doesn't play shortstop is a positive. But let's pivot to Boston. I hate that this is on the schedule. I hate that it matters, but then again, you know, I mean, if I've considered the Yankees out of it for several days now, every win feels better that way. Every loss feels more tolerable. I wasn't throwing things over the weekend against Cleveland. I wasn't booing Garrett Cole. Because I'm at the point of the season where it's exciting. It's thrilling, it's a television show..

"Because of all the injuries that they've had and that is a significant part of of what's going on with the yankees right now. I don't care what anybody says. But it's a bigger picture situation. Which is active. Are we going to see Garrett cole tonight yeah absolutely all right. So he's back on a mound go and this and by the way there are two and two in their last four games that were are part of this. Thirteen game run now so they now have nine games left in this particular part of the schedule where i believe they have to go. You know eight nine one seven and two from this point on. i'd like to see eight one. I've actually seen them go undefeated. Well of course. "Man. Garrett Cole was sent to the mound on Wednesday night to face the Los Angeles angels to avoid the series sweep. How many times does this come? How many times is Garrett Cole been asked to stop the bleeding? How many times did it happen? How many times it hasn't happened? Have there been concerns about girls and ace? I know I've had them. Call me a psycho, but I've had them when the Yankees sign up to a 9 year or $324 million contract. I just wasn't sure. He had a shaky kind of go in Pittsburgh. I know it's Pittsburgh, so you can't really you can't really take that too seriously, but then he heads to Houston. And look, I'll talk about it. We had the whole allegations of the doctoring baseballs in Houston, and then Gerrit Cole, all of a sudden becomes one of the arguably at top three picture in baseball. If Justin Verlander's on on his team or Justin Verlander doesn't exist, he at least wins a Cy Young award while he's there. Led the league in strikeouts in 2019 with 326. So did it feel like at the time the Yankees were maybe getting hosed and free agency by paying him $36 million a year, which was by far the highest paid starting pitcher in the history of baseball, I don't know. Obviously not now, but at the time, it was a worthwhile question. Why can't we have doubts? Why can't we have questions? I know it was great. A lot of fans just didn't even care. They were like, we're getting an ace or we're getting an ace like pitcher, haven't had this since the turn of the decade with CC Sabathia. It doesn't matter. We just need a guy who can pump. We need a guy who can give us length. We need a power pitcher, bring it on. Everyone was happy. A lot of people were happy. I was happy. I just had some doubts. And you know what? Gary Cole is silenced all of those doubts. And last night was probably the the obviously the latest, but it was the most refreshing evidence yet. 15 strikeout performance 7 innings one.

"Garrett Cole, a strikeout king. So the power right hander Garrett Cole out there on the mountain. Making his 10th start. Tim Anderson to 98 with five home runs the right handed batter. And the first pitch is down and away Ball one. The attention of the home plate umpire Jim Reynolds touch Kitchener has the plate called the Balls and strikes. Jim Reynolds the empire at first base. Chadwick's in its second. Ryan Blakeney, a third are thanks to Michael K. For helping us out with that. Swinging a fallow whole plate bonus strike on Timmy Anderson. You know what we say to Mike? Okay there, Roxie. No, we say to him CIA CIA kid off of our broadcast. Him. Anderson is over his last 16. Wind up from cold. The 11 fastball that's outside of 97. Two balls and one strike defensively for the Yankees. It's Andrew Hart and left Gardner and center judges and write her Shelagh at third, a tremendous defensive player. Laboratories it short route and adore the second basement. Mike Ford, it first in Higashio could catching cold. The 21 is just up in a way with a slider its three in one And this battery is pretty much the battery we see these days. Garrett Cole, Kyle Higashio, CA We saw that really emerged last year with Gary Sanchez and some inconsistencies. 31 fastball on a ground ball to short to his right, charging it. Torre is on the first takes care of Anderson, and that's how our ball game begins. Iraq. See one of the things with Gary Sanchez, and getting extended opportunities was because the potential of the bat but when the bat wasn't quite there, and all of a sudden you've got a really great receiver and Kyle Higashi Oka Ad biggest joke of providing offense hitting home runs, You know, just kind of below the radar getting it done. It almost becomes a no brainer for the Yankees of who they need to have back there most of the time. Especially when this guy's on the mound, Gerrit Cole. Left handed batting Adam Eaton hitting.

"Let me take you to another one yesterday yankees and bluejays on a chilly day. The opener a yankee stadium. And here's the highlights from this one. Bottom of two one. On for gary sanchez and gary. Sanchez has left the ballpark sanchez. The first yankee catcher to homer on opening day in eleven years jens have a two one league garrett cole now doing the pitching and not well oscar hernandez oh no doubt about that drills one the left in the six that ties the game two and garett cold not pleased bottom nine. Same score winning. Run it second. Aaron judge of the plate. Can he be the hero on opening day. That's the question. The answer is no judge. One for five struck out twice. We're going to extras top of the ten runners. At second randall. Grischuk pool rightfielder. Aaron judge can't get it no. We can't sixty five percent was the hit probability on this. It's an rbi double. The run comes around to score and that would be the difference. Blue jays win it three two in extras on opening day. And so back to you jessica mendoza. What's your number one takeaway from the ball game yesterday in the bronx gary sanchez. I mean you've got to remember a lot of people. Were watching last year gary sanchez. You didn't think he was eating a start or be in this lineup for the yankees. Because how bad help awesome. He was offensively last year. Being one forty seven six four strikeouts tech eight teen walks. His biggest thing coming in was to be able to sit back behind the baseball. That home run. You could use feel the pressure. Come off of him. Why because there's so many other guys in this lineup. That when they struggle. It's up to gary sanchez. And he's the difference maker to me because you know when it comes down to aaron judge who also struggled with this game carlos stanton both of those guys are prone to injuries. They're not going to be in this lineup throughout the entire season and to the big piece. That's missing because by the way it is world series or bust for the yankees team. Gary sanchez has to step up. I know it's only one game but that run was huge

The Rays Eliminate the Yankees In a Heartbreaking Game 5

"Me ask you this e because. In, twenty seventeen, there was this new core coming up right. And the thought was hey. Unexpected Ron made the playoffs one game away from the world series and I remember even the wildcard game against Minnesota that year was like just let this core group get a playoff series under their belt so that they get some experience and can grow with it. You got within one game of the world series one one of the world series it didn't happen. Now, there's a postseason failure in eighteen in one, thousand, nine hundred and get to the brink again, it doesn't happen in twenty losing game five of the LDS. At this point. Does it still if you're part of that group. visit. Still feel like you're ascending or do you start wonder if you've plateaued Now, you deficit they just sending I mean especially, those guys are so young you know what I'm saying like. inexperience in you know in age. So Yeah I. Mean You know going back over that run like seventeen we had to run. With all those young kids in. Out though I didn't I had I, didn't think it was gonna make the playoffs just just because we went to the playoffs in seventeen and everybody had career years we're coming back. You know with a young team I just I was surprised that we made the playoffs gotta ask. about a red sox end. In the next year, I thought nineteen, we were set up to. To to make a great run a debrecen. Obviously, we didn't do that. NFL This year you know is short season everything went on. So just to be able to to get out there and play and compete I think guys are excited. You know excited I mean I think is a lot to build on I. Don't think. I don't think you can up this year with the rest of them just because it was such a short season you don't think any. There's no like wondering are we the you know late nineties braves early two thousand braves where we're going to. We're GONNA get to a certain now they won one in ninety five to be fair to them. But then you know they're winning division after division after division losing to the playoffs losing the playoffs listen to play. Yeah I mean it does that enter the mind of this group at this point. I. Like I'm not in a group anymore so. I can't. Really tell you if they're starting to feel like that or not. You know. I was never I was never in that position I was about to say as a young player would. Myself as when I was young, I always felt like I had time like like August time to do you know what? I'm saying I got time to do, and then like I say, I, always bring up a seven because that was our year like we put it all together and that was a year and didn't happen. So starting panicking. So. You would have to ask the guys individually which year they thought that they were GonNa win in when it doesn't happen that year then you start panicking like shit maybe this this may not have you know hand. Right now all those guys play for the Yankees in they noted that the organization will do whatever they can to try to win auto free agents, auto players, and so no I think that they got time you. and. The reality is the starting rotation. Looked a lot different than what they had set out for because you thought you were going to have Severino James Paxton right behind Garrett Cole and you didn't, and obviously that changes the equation and made you have to use the bullpen differently, etc. Now, I, WanNa talk about coal for a minute see look if there's One Guy. Who acquitted himself beautifully in this Yankees. postseason. It was Garrett Cole I. Mean This Dude was everything they could've asked for he gives up one hit in this game and who knows if it's not for some weird wall overhang that Aaron judge got to familiar with maybe he doesn't even give up any hits in his five and a third innings. He. He really delivered and that you have to feel good about knowing okay. This guy is going to shove exactly the way you want him to this time of year yet. That was great to watch him be able to go out before. As that I know he wants you know what I'm saying. So it'll be good not this time next year everything rolling around you'll be fans in the stands and. Hopefully. We can have that Yankee Stadium proxy magic, and. Readiness. All the way to to we're supposed to be, which is a berated. I. What about pitching on three days Resi. What feels different like do you notice like all my arm isn't as strong I mean what? What what makes it a more difficult challenge when you're not pitching on your normal rush when you're pitching on short rest, it's not necessarily like your are being source. It's like everything else like little aches Oh you know you know you didn't get your. Your full arrest so you can't really overthrow You know watching that I felt like he was trying to give his normal effort their first ending everything was up. You know he was all kind of all over the place. Any just kinda settled in you know what I'm saying he gave us time you take a little longer than than usual and. He kinda settled into the game was able to find this delivery. That's the one thing about picking three days you have to find your delivery like. Were percent. Can you pitch at whether that? Sixty, five, percent seventy, five, percent, eighty, five percent. You know what I'm saying like you have to find that was going to make you be able to strikes in and be effective. So if it seems like you've found that right at the right time, you got to strike out and you know he kinda he kinda sail from after that I mean you have to Solo homer to tomatoes and then you know almost today what's that guy's name? You say his name well over process l. no the guy run our arousal arise arena Larussa Rhody. Almost curveball out but other than that. You know he pitched great. So yeah like you said I mean he delivered and and you know going forward that he'll be able to to to pitch in these situations you know several be able to pitch any situation. We saw what money can do to two nights ago. Yeah. Your boy came man Monte the Frazier Bryant Man, these guys these guys are in a good spot. So like I said nobody I don't think anybody in their Hispanic and not player. Wise. Anyway, you know that that's is the fans in the front office and stuff. You are the master of pitching on three days Resi and because of that even though it has a little less punch because the Yankees lost this game compared to what it would have been if the Yankees won this game. I want explore that a little bit further with you because you you did it a lot. I mean the way you did it in. Milwaukee with multiple starts down the stretch over and over again as you were just in Bistro and then we saw it in the nine playoffs as well where you did it the entire Oh nine playoffs and delivered you did it in game one and four of the AL CS is at it again in Games one and four the world series. What kind of advice did you offer Garrett Cole as he was getting ready to do it for the first time in his career as someone who did a lot and did it in big stages? You know what I didn't and I was watching the first thing that I was like man Fuck I should've called. You know what I'm saying. But I didn't he's he gates. He's he he figured it out on his own. You know what? I'm saying, I don't need to call bad like he'll call me if he did something. Yeah so I don't I don't want to bother him. I don't WanNa call him I know how he is. You know know the days before you know the day of leading up to historic. So you know I I don't want to call him but please believe I'll facetime mining when I figured out that he was making start. Well whatever you told Monte in the face time, it worked out really pitch well and game four and I was encouraged. You know see if we go through this game, there's not there's not a lot to nitpick and say, okay, this could have been done differently. This could have been done differently. We've just lost a game and. You just lost a baseball game to. All the time where we go to Tampa or we we play apple you know what I'm saying. So that's why I was so scared to play them in the playoff series because. That's the one team that I know that can fucking Peterson the series and they know it too. Yep Yet one hundred percent. It's how I felt last year too when they were playing the Astros and people like Oh we want the race I was like the race competing in the. Last. Year to we would have been counted the same. You know what I'm saying we would have been a seven game series for sure if they beat if last night got typically fucker pitches. Right move coming for the first. and. On the whole right I mean this is this is not what you are looking forward to. If you're major league baseball as far as ratings go I believe the Yankees when all is said and done at the end of this s I think they're gonNA have nine of the top ten highest rated games thus far in the playoffs they're going to have been involved in. So you know you better believe that there are going to be people who are wishing that the Yankees went as deep as possible for the sake of you know the economics of the sport, but from a pure. David Goliath baseball storyline, and there is something amazing even though it's not going to make my stomach feel-good or your Z. about the Tampa Bay rays and they're twelve dollar payroll. Taken down the big bad Yankees and Brosseau hitting the home run off Chapman after that like there's something crazy about that story how many times it I tell you that's not the way we do my career I'm not into. The pitch is swaying in a high fly ball into right center field Ed's deep racing back to shields at the wall, and that ball is gone homerun Aaron judge and a quick strike for the New York Yankees they jump out in front on Bieber to nothing. Yet Dj Lemay Hugh had singled and then Aaron Judge Rip Day Homerun four pitches into the game. The Yankees at a two old lead on Bieber. Any never recovered this is what happened in the top of the fifth any gleyber Torres at the plate swing a high fly ball into left center field deep on run Naylor back to the wall looking up and that ball is God. In his Outta here it just snuck out off the top of the wall out gleyber Torres with a two run homer. And a Yankees keep slugging away they lead it seven to two. That call from OBI, the Great Obi Dave, O'Brien on ESPN radio the Yankees go on to win twelve to two in game on Garrett Cole was fantastic. He had thirteen strikeouts. No walks. He's a second Yankee pitcher with ten plus strikeouts in the team's first game of the postseason hall of. FAMER. Red. Roughing at ten strikeouts in Game One, the nineteen thirty, two world series against the cubs and with thirteen strikeouts walks Cole also match Tom seaver game one of the Nineteen seventy-three and LCS for the most strikeouts in a postseason appearance without issuing. A. Walk the AKC's four homers in this game tied for the second most in a playoff game. In franchise history, they had five homers in game four of the nineteen twenty eight world series against the cardinals. So when you can match numbers going back to the world series from Nineteen thirty two and nineteen twenty eight says a lot about how much yankees dominated in Game One Garrett Cole talked about his first postseason start with the Yankees. Now there was a lot of fun I mean it was a really complete team day my thought that. The middle innings when. They scored we responded with. Sizeable lead which. I thought was kind of allow them Try Not allow them to get some momentum through news dunes and. We keep on defense become elite runners lean offers off. The bags which was kept a pitch count down and we swap bats really well, and I joined myself so a nice that. You also talked about setting the tone. We need to set the tone for the series and You, know. I'm obviously very painful ambled gable to take the ball in this position So to be able to deliver feels really good and and obviously with my son area thrown felt pretty good too so. Yeah I would say I would say it definitely. was definitely a special night. But especially this year, we allow more baseball to to win so honestly celebrate to get stuff and and And showered off and come back to Marlin through all during the sixty game season Bieber did not allow more than three runs in any starting in this game he allowed seventy talked about his struggles after the game Yes. I felt. Extremely prepared coming into the start just like every other start, the season and. Fell behind first hitter and and that I obviously didn't go as planned. I felt like overall looking back at the outing. Objectively. Just, wasn't as aggressive as I wish I would have been with my ob- speeds of in the zone and maybe some fastballs in and just challenging these guys a little bit more. I felt like I fell behind quite a bit and forced myself into some bad situations and so bad counts, and then you know all that on top of not having my stuff and making mistakes. Amounted to what came out of tonight so No excuses was. It was. Not. The the I start that. We wanted to get out. With and Me personally as well but we got two more games and and cookies go out there and do thing tomorrow and hopefully I'll get the ball back as soon as possible in these three series right away elimination games later today Carlos. Carrasco? Shame. Bieber just referenced the right there cookie versus Masahiro Tanaka

"Okay. Let's get to the American theories start today obviously the headliner is the the series I'm going to be lucky enough to do starting at seven o'clock. Tonight we've got the Indians playing host to the Yankees you got Shane Bieber Garrett Cole a good old fashioned. Of Two aces one guy you know the best pitcher on the planet two years ago versus Shane Bieber's the best pitcher on the planet this year, what are you expecting in this series? Yeah. Mean this is going to be one of the best games of the entire postseason. I suspect you know what an unbelievable matchup shame bieber won. The MLB pitching triple crown wins the are strikeouts I gotta do that since Johan Santana and two, thousand six, and he not even be the most dominant picture in this game was Garrett Cole is pretty good. I looked up any postseason series game would match up and I might have missed one but the last. Game. One. Battle with a lower co by the area that I found was two thousand fourteen Clayton Kershaw as eerie won the MVP versus Adam wainwright who had a two three yards that year. So there's been some great ones we had Sherzer Colin game the world series last year, but this is just Terrific game one matchup for me the key thing in this series, and in this game, tonight is going to be how clean they play and I gotta say having watched the Yankees a lot this year they have not performed well on defense I was looking at defensive runs saved and there's no perfect measure of defensive play but the Indians were tied for second best in the regular season defensive run save they have an excellent defensive team Garrett Cole was talking about yesterday how the the Indians don't make mistakes in on the other hand. The Yankee seem to make a lot of mistakes the key guy for me in this series, labor. Taurus who has not had a good season he is not played well, defensively what about for you just some other factor that's jumping out of you. Yeah. I wasn't good point on the defense I watch Erin Moods game session the other day Friday or Saturday they made a bunch of airs and the look on his face was just discussed. Because that's been a problem on your ankles. Yeah. Obviously, it's the Cleveland offense. Are they going to be able to generate enough runs and I'm intrigued because yet they had one of the lower homerun rates in the majors. The Yankees allow the most home runs of any playoff team. You Know Garrett call had some of those homerun issues you know in the middle of the season not so much as last couple starts, but the Yankees do give up run so. That's to me. CLEVELAND'S GONNA have to figure out a way to knock it few the fence Jose Ramirez of course has been red hot Carlos Santana, great regular season, but he's heated up a little bit the last couple of weeks. So that's the key can Cleveland hit any home runs off the New York pitching and can the Yankees hit on the road the numbers the road splits for the Yankees this year are shocking. Great. Point. In fact, we had a note saying Sam. Millard this one of the twenty largest home roads blitz I. Forget how far he went back. This was history X. number of years but the twenty largest. Were Colorado Rockies, teams, and the other was the two thousand twenty so that yeah. Huge toll roads blitz this year. The. White Sox and Oakland Plankton a Lucas G Lido the obvious pick for the white sox start in Oakland Hey seuss Lazaro gets the start the young left-hander for the Oakland athletics we had serling the podcast yesterday and she mentioned the white sox fourteen in our game started by left-handers Lazardo left-hander. So I was a little bit surprised but maybe that's kind of where Oakland is with their rotation right now. Now, they don't have a clear number one I was surprised because Lazaros last appearance was actually in relief so I thought they might use them out of the end. This could be kind of a bullpen series for Bob Melvin right buster they had the lowest era In relief many team you know really deep bullpen saw even the Lazardo starting I would not expect him to go deep into this game maybe even just one time through the rotation.

Pandemic playoffs: Brewers, Astros in despite losing records

"When you woke up on Sunday morning none of the eight matchups were said I. think that's kind of cool that would be like the the final day of the regular season Lebron Yeah I don't even know who we're playing. That's what it was for every single team yesterday in Major League Baseball your dodgers are going to play the brewers who got in yesterday with the first losing record granted at sixty. Games with the first losing record for a team in the history of the Major League Baseball Playoffs there were twenty nine and thirty one opening round best of three all in the same ballpark what are your thoughts and we couldn't lose I mean you know it. Likely not, but we could because his only three games all they got to do is win two of them, right? So baseball is so weird dodgers obviously you mentioned we got him at home dodger stadium. I don't think that you know I'm sure we're going to roll out Walker Bueller in Kershaw and we're going to do what we need to do to get to the next round But you could lose you know teams could lose you know the beginning of the year, the dodgers and the Yankees were pretty much the favorites to to get to the thing. In the end, but then the pandemic happened then we had to do all of the rescheduling and figure out how many games that went on for so long how many games should they play the only WanNa play this amount, the players, WanNa, play that amount it became a money issue, and now we finally have gotten to the point where October will be playoff baseball. Speaking out, let's go through a couple of interesting storylines after this round by the way, then everything is going to be played at trial sites and eventually the world series will be played at the home of the Texas Rangers and they'll wrap that no. Later than October twenty eighth, they want to avoid the second third. So homefield everybody early, and then we're going to neutral sites, Los Angeles San Diego. Texas and Houston quick thoughts the Yankees of the five seat in the AL, the five seat, the rays of the one-seat. What does the same thing with the dodgers? Right? The Yankees could they take care of business they moved their events they don't they go home whether they a one C or DHCP. It's everybody's even really to be honest with you. Everybody's even Garrett Cole. Start, for the Yankees Chain Bieber for the Indians in for all the money they paid Garrett Cole Shane Beavers had a better year he has in when you look at it, there are no fans in the stands. So there's no home field advantage for anybody you know what's great about not having fans the Houston Astros. Left right. Everywhere they go. They are the sick see the astros have made it in baseball's big off season, they should just get blinked. Every time people bring up the Astros are frown just cheated just blatant just cheat to win. They're taking on the Minnesota twins keys, dodgers will take on the brewers the padres in the playoffs for the first time in fourteen years will take on the Saint Louis Cardinals and the much maligned and I know it's a sixty game season. How about the Miami Marlins under? Derek. Jeter, for everything that they have gone through there and they'll get the Chicago cubs. Yeah. They they. They deserve to being I'm happy for I'm happy for Jeeter because when he? Blew everything up and traded. Call Stan and everybody was like Oh they just care about the money. They're completely trash in the organization, and now they're in the playoffs and they take on. Chicago like you said, one

"Well, the phillies just choked away their lead against the mets they've now lost that's a final. They had a four one lead on the mets they lose five four nice job by the phillies tonight. So they blew it and they were up five one or. Four one they were up, they were up for one. degrom left the game after the second inning. He got hurt. Wheeler. Pitching into the eighth. Couple batters too many for him. And the mets then win it with a run the top of the ninth and Diaz close it out in the bottom of the ninth. Right. So I both ends of the cardinals brewers hit the cardinals for doing game one brewers nothing in game two. The Orioles evidently beat. They be called hamels tonight. That's what happened. The Mookie Betts decision could haunt the Boston Red Sox for a long time

"It didn't take very long for mookie bats. He didn't even suit up for the regular season game for the dodgers yet. He's got that tonight against the giants, and they signed him to a twelve year extension for three hundred sixty five million dollars, so he's twenty seven years of age. This is a lifetime deal in La. Certainly Senate notice to the rest of the National League. We mean business here. We're going to be competitive for a long time. On the flip side if you're a red sox fan, because it feels like this was the the Red Sox said. Hey, you know what or last year. Hey, we're going to regroup and try to come back with a vengeance here in a couple of years and there was thought that maybe mookie Betts would end up back with the red sox. At some point. He started his career there. beloved there, but the front. Office didn't commit to him financially. And now the deal's going to be a referendum on both of these franchises. We move forward. If vets delivers the dodgers win, they're gonNA look great in the Red Sox are going to be reminded of the one that got away for at least the next decade, but you never know about these big deals I would never want to sign a player for more than five years. I would just be nervous about that. Just playing the odds of you staying healthy you staying competitive of the cost that goes along with that athlete there. But. We see this with a lot of these baseball players. You sign him up if it's Mike Trout and if it's Bryce, Harper if it's Garrett Cole you want to lock them in, and also there's going to be a question. mookie Betts, no longer in that hitter, friendly fenway park fans in both cities are going to keep a close eye on mookie and his performance in La. La should be one of the more intriguing subplots in this unusual season, and if you look at the numbers with Mukhi Bats, you know my feelings about Mookie Betts. He was must see TV when he was playing for the Red Sox and that will be the same implying the dodgers i. just don't know if you'll be the same style of player that he was at fenway. then. He's going to be that at dodger stadium if you start to look at the numbers since twenty sixteen where mookie Betts ranks. And I know that we think my trout, the coronation, your best player in baseball in the future hall of fame, absolutely no problem with that. mookie Betts. Was the east. Coast version of Mike Trout from the standpoint of he could do everything. and. He's getting paid to do everything now a runs. Nobody scored more runs since two thousand sixteen hits third doubles I. Even home runs. He's not a home run hitting guy. He's five nine one eighty and five nine, one eighty. Thank you thank you? Nineteenth in home runs. You look at RBI's. He's up there. He's you know. He's in the top ten in stolen bases batting average. He puts up numbers all around good fielder as well by all accounts, good clubhouse guy, so the dodgers are investing in somebody who will be the face of the franchise for years to

Opening Day Arrives For The Los Angeles Dodgers

"We've got the Yankees and the dodgers in separate games in a doubleheader tonight, and they are the Vegas Co favorites this year for those who haven't seen it. What is your world series prediction at the end of this unprecedented sprint of a baseball season? Will Greenie everyone's talking about the Yankees and dodgers and look at their rosters and their stars in the Yankees Got Garrett Cole this off season. The dodgers got bets so I'm going Yankees dodgers and they're just so stacked greeny and Sprint with sixteen games. I'm not sure what's going to happen. There's a lot of crazy things that could happen in two thousand twenty. At those two teams on paper, you have to say they're the world series favorites and you mentioned bets here. Let's get back to him. I don't know that anyone was really expecting on the day before the season began for mookie Betts to sign a three hundred sixty five million dollar contract extension. What was your reaction? First of all good for mookie Betts he's one of the top players in the game at a historically great player, and he's getting to play for the LA dodgers one of the top teams when the top franchises in all of baseball and so men good for Mookie Betts and I. Think a lot of fans are gonNA. Say Oh, well, look you know. Baseball's going to be fine. Players were getting paid, but you really look at why the players were so upset. This off season, and in all these negotiations with the owners is that salaries have not been really increasing with the state of play in Major League Baseball. You look at revenues have pretty much triple. Since Alex Rodriguez's huge contract twenty years ago, franchise values are up seven x in the last twenty years, but yet our top players are still just kind of making a round the same. They've been making for decades, so mookie Betts got a great contract, but I think what you've seen is a lot of teams are spreading these deals out. He's got twelve years right there. Spreading these deals out to stay under the luxury tax. This luxury tax is a problem for major. League baseball players and MOOKIE got his, but a lot of players won't get. There's this off season.

Growing Your Business Through Podcasting with Matt Medeiros

"Hey everybody and welcome to another episode of how I built at the podcast that asks. How did you build that today? My guest is a good friend of mine and a repeat offender here on the how I built. podcast Matt Medeiros. He is now a sales over at Paisley. He is still the host of the Matt Report and he is the host of a relatively new podcast called we are here over South Coast FM Matt. How're you Joe? It's always a pleasure to grease the airwaves with you. Your former Co host of we are former CO hosts in a different life. Yes yeah absolutely back before you were a Paisley you're doing. Was it a weekly or biweekly. Show up whenever I was whatever. Halftime called plugged within radio on DOT COM Fantastic well I'm glad to be back on the airwaves with you sportswise allies life is drastically different. You guys have one year. Your Red Sox won a world series since we last were on the show together. The giants are terrible. But the Yankees just picked up Garrett Cole for an obscene amount of money. I'm excited about twenty twenty. I'm still crying over the patriots loss from last Sunday. So that's I was. I was at the Eagles game As we record this. The Eagles played the giants on Monday. And I was at that game and the for I wish the game ended after the first first half many others. But that's not what we're here to talk about. We're here to talk about Uh specifically kind of building your brand and your reach through podcasting which meant I feel like you've done Exceptionally well especially in the general kind of wordpress base base where we operate a lot so maybe we can start off a little bit With who you are and what you're doing these days. Yeah so I do in the work precipice anyway. My report DOT coms honest where I do all of my Open Thinking for better for worse on a podcast and blog over there but doing it now for going on eight years and was really thinking back to Just a lot of the stuff that I've done both video and audio in the wordpress base I've you know I've never counted the episodes. What's but it's probably somewhere north of five hundred audio episodes and Maybe five hundred issue videos all about wordpress crescent more recently as an reason as last year started a local podcast for local entrepreneurship. I'm about an hour south of Boston. It's called the south coast of Massachusetts and You know doing sort of the same thing highlighting entrepreneurs in my south coast region. And it's a totally different animal. Like comparing you yeah. Traditional Internet podcast versus local podcasts. But we can maybe chat about that stuff today and of course selling over at Patriot dot com. Yeah that's so I I definitely do. WanNa talk about that because Well first of all for the Matt report you pump out like I feel like tons of really really good content like especially your. Your videos are really thoughtful. Feel like you're good at that How do you come up with that content is it just like whatever? Are you just like such a good thinker and then you record those thoughts are or do you have like a list of content cover so this is my biggest challenge and it's one of the challenges. I am really trying to focus on on. Twenty twenty is to actually have a content calendar in have a process in have a purpose the purpose for the last seven years. Joe Has just been to talk out loud to meet people to have conversations and for when I say better for worse. There's some things I say that people don't agree with that they don't liken it sort of affects me and then there's things that people attached to latch onto you but I do this simply well on the wordpress site in the business side. I do it because I simply love wordpress and I simply love building businesses in seeing things form out of nothing and my whole you like you said I create a ton of content. I create the audio stuff. I do video. Oh stuff for my report which is like critical thinking pieces and then I do to`real still on the plugin touch channel which are more just like yours. How you use something in wordpress and these all all of these things come up as they just pop into my head and I just do them the south coast 'em podcast? I'm being amusing. That as a a sort of my my lab experiment to map things out and for that show I actually do have things mapped out because I have such limited time time that if I didn't have a plan for that show would never get to it like I would never get things done and actually using it in finding new processes Aziz over there and say you know what I'm going to apply what I've learned doing that stuff over there which is like one on one level stuff to bring it to the Mayor Report in twenty twenty just to give give myself some kind of runway some kind of breathing room.

"The NCAA chase young suspension from four games. To your thoughts. Penn State Michigan. What suspension pinch? You need to kiss Maryland and rutgers the giants named gate capital their new manager. Is that a good fit. Didn't work that well in Philadelphia. I think he's deserving of one more chance it will Oregon can beat Memphis and James Wiseman last night. Break it down. They gave him wiseman too stupid fouls in the first half only played five minutes of the first half kill fourteen twelve. He looks he looks great. What...Just...Happened?

"Dozo with Sunday it baseball's Jessica and does and Jess Wow that game last night was insane that's the kind of name I got to tell you do the post-game work and you go back to the hotel and you're staring at the walls in the hotel room wide awake because you have so much his rental in and I was what about you because eventually I did go back to sleep but you had to get up like three hours later to get up this morning yeah it was up at five and then you write everything and I know now I have such an appreciation for writers because I like to give all of because I know that everyone that I'm working with this morning didn't watch the game and so I basically the right everything that I feel like we're the highlights of things I want to get into all the stuff I need them to look up graphics Oh that's put me up until one two in the morning and the I'm upset if I walk into work and getting ready to go so I'm a morning person it's been the nights that like that's why I'm so excited about this game six because I'll tell you what there's been a couple of games this world series where I'm like fighting sleep in the sixth seventh innings. I've only got a few hours this one I mean buster there were times I was jumping on my bed in my hotel room liking the TV Blake I'm sure my neighbors the hotel do not appreciate I'm like come on the world series game six you should be watching it was it was a nutty gate for the most part we'll put it this way in the first five games the world series there was one lead change last night we had two plus all the craziness for that game distinguish itself from the rest of the world series and I've got a laundry list of stuff to get tune we'll get into all of what happened last night but let's start with this I thought you know Dave Martinez what an emotional night like he goes absolutely nuts during the course of the game we're in the seventh inning stretch and he looked down the field and all of a sudden I see Dave Martinez being restrained by one of his coaches and he's going after the umpires he winds up getting a in our life by the Japan and their life go ahead the one who's restoring him he's gotTa winds up being rejected first manager in twenty three years to be objected from a world he's game and then after the game you get knuckleheads like me going in there and ask you know the right questions about how he felt in that moment and what did you think about the call I Dave Martinez handled it perfectly because he's like you know what I don't WanNa get any that I don't want to talk about that and he said it respectfully he said I I understand but you know what it's all about game seven in so many words and that's exactly what I thought he should have done in that moment considering what the outcome was there was no reason for him to relive all the details game unless they lose like I feel like and not that you want to relive it anyway and you WanNa take the high road but there was a moment there and this is for the people who weren't watching the game live but when you're watching it live during the entire time empires had the headsets on that that the showing trae Turner in the out just the emotions completely I mean honestly watching the broadcast they were bleeping out every other word was coming out of that dugout because it was so much emotion it felt like that something we're gonNA WE'RE GONNA be talking about this moment for years because in that moment it felt like the nationals are gonNA lose this game and this is why it's GonNa be because of this so I think Dave Martinez would have been a completely different person had anthony rendon day income and hit that home run I think then he would have been a lot more but when you win the game and it's like why go back in blow up that entire call a hundred percent and that's what I thought was really smart by him to not go back and relive that because they won the game and they force game seven and game seven will be started by Max Scherzer who chess on Sunday comes walking stiffly into the interview room in front of reporters he When he was answering questions he wasn't turning his neck he was sitting in his wheelchair and turning the whole swivel chair to talk to reporters and he was so down he gets a cortisone shot which pitchers talk about is being such essentially a miracle drug and then yesterday when we walk into the Ballpark here in Houston he's in catching the outfield and goes to Intel's Day Martinez I'm ready to go and you get the feeling that this could be something that could fire or at the players I asked David about that before the game yesterday about you know whether or not the players might rally around this any mentioned that time when Max fouled the ball off he was on face broke his nose and the next day Texan picture instead I'm good to go and he started that day with the black is Dave said that got the players fired up I gotta believe tonight there'll be so much adrenaline Max on the mound especially because I mean from that press conference buster and and for those of us that know him he was devastated Leanne devastated on Sunday that he could not help his team and I felt like it worked in the reverse like he could not hide the emotion of how much he felt like he was leading his team down and because of that and not because that's the sole reason they lost by any means at all but I felt like the team reacted to his devastation and not just him not pitching the overall vibe that he was giving like I feel awful that I can't pitch in game that I'm supposed to I think it works in the reverse for game seven because he is battled on everything he can the cortisone shot I think my only concern was shirt tonight is we've seen in his starts in this postseason him go one hundred ten and plus pitches how much length can't he give this team now the good thing is you know Daniel Hudson Sean deal those two pitchers you can use anybody pretty much out of the bullpen and there is more options for Dave Martinez out of the bullpen but what we've seen is they need length from these starters how much length can shares her bring your stuff was just flat from the get-go the guys more pitches than anybody in baseball this year over four thousand he just he just didn't have it and I think it was because he he's tired at the end of a long year and right that's the question about Max tonight on the other side we're GonNa see Zach ranking who's also looked tiredness postseason and I would assume that he's he followed by Garrett Cole I talked to Garyk before game six and asked him about how his ability with game seven was something he was handling because of the flight on the day last turn it had a similar situation where normally I would pen on day two but since we were flying I decided to it settled in DC and throw my pen on day three which for this week sets up pretty much the same exact way and I felt really good last week on day three so I'm just taking the same routine did last week to prepare for the bullpen as I'm doing this week to prepare for possibly having to pitch game seven yes I think he's GonNa wind up pitching like innings four through six tonight what do you think yeah I think so I think this is something that you definitely see and I think just for the royalva nats I mean to be able to get to that grinky you know the point that they want to be able to do they're going to have to do it early and once they do that knowing what is looming in the bullpen and that's one thing opposite of the nationals is the astros have so many guys that they can go to and Garrett Cole who has been the ultimate throw down the hammer are you know for the scene the one point I have to make with Garrett Cole and I know we've seen it so much but the last time he has pitched in relief you go back to his freshman year at us Cla I went and looked at this against the ant eaters gave up a winning run I mean this is like I know it's liked onion cheek like it's been how long since he was a little frothy with the Bruins this is something that I do think fans that now we've seen it time and time again from Randy Johnson no Madison Bumgarner these star pitchers come out of the bullpen it's not as easy is it looks folks he's talking about it being similar to bullpen game he's never done it really he's never done it as a professional he's never done it with the Astros this is something that I think you definitely look for especially early on if he's coming in mid inning what what is he doing where's his heart rate because it's definitely different than than coming in just as the starter all right let's dig into game six last night we'll start with this golf clap or Stephen Strasburg watching that last night just reminded me of how I felt during the two thousand fourteen postseason watching Madison bumgarner where he seemed so in control where even when there were runners on base pitching backwards coming back and counts by throwing off speed pitches he was just absolutely composed and in the end despite the fact that Max Sherzer got up at one point in the sixth inning there Stephen Strasburg still out on the mound in the ninth inning what a performance the fifth five no yeah this amazing to me again Jose Altuva and I remember in the moment I sent this note to our producer in the moment I was like I don't know what's GonNa Happen in this game but to me this is the stories this isn't even the game like that fifth inning at bat it to Jose Altuve to me was the series why I mean you have a pitcher or a hitter up to bat similar to the Anthony Rendon in the first inning where all you really gotta do is put the bomb play take one of those breaking balls fine whole get to the grass score some runs and respond and felt like to all the guys in that order that's what he does I mean that guy can hit anything and Stephen Strasburg you'll get three pitches he started on what the
