"Up in the back field right next to Gardner Menchu in the shotgun. Sometimes we'll have coming across. Formation and his traditional wide receiver position. But just trying to find creative ways to get the football in his hands. One of the playmakers they want the ball in his hands out space. See if he can make somebody miss Use that athleticism. It is a first Two going deep down the field of the left side. Three dolphins in the area and Chris Conley, who was the intended target never really had a chance, and that'll bring up second, Tim Probably one of the first bad decisions I've seen in this game for men shoot because I'm watching Chris Conley run downfield. There's two dolphins that air there. He kind of just throws this one up for grabs. And you mentioned Conley doesn't even really Make an effort. This ball's thrown way inside about 8 to 10 yards inside of him closer to two Dolphin defenders. Then it was Conrad never even saw the football until it hit the ground. Makes you now six of 8 65 yards, No touchdowns. No interceptions. Second from 35 on the right hash garden. Mention from the gun. Here's question off the edge. He's able to get rid of it completely. Flag was trying to get Tyler Eifert veteran side in, but Eric Rowe probably going to be called here, holding it. I tell you what Jackson got exactly what they wanted. Miami brought pressure It was picked up. Jacksonville gave mention time and he had man to man coverage appearance. Defense number, 21 by roll. The ball is placed in the spot of the foul automatic. First down. It is on Eric Grow another New England transplant down here to Miami. That's the penalty in the NFL that's so different in the college game. Technically, I frankly, I like it the NFL game. I mean, I just think it's so It's so difficult for a defense and it makes those defensive backs really focus on their technique in their mechanics because you get called for that 15 2025 yards downfield. That's a spot. That's a lot of field position. You end up giving up all of the midfield. Jaguar logo handoff Robinson up with Carrie and get into the 46 gain of four. We approach four minutes remaining in the half Jack's down 21 to 7. Like Gardner. Mitch was trying to get him up to the line of scrimmage. A little bit quicker than normal may not necessarily be a two minute situation. But just trying to prevent Miami from substituting Menchu putting O'Shaughnessy In towards the line. Now, then she's going up to the offensive line and barking out some orders. He's got the hair hanging out. The back of that thick mustache drops to throw here on second six Dobson underneath the fighting for the first down yardage, and he's got it before he's dragged out of bounds by the corner. Jamal pairing earlier, Brandon, You mentioned that Tyler Shadley starting in place of Brandon Linder, and sadly with a nice job picking up the blitz coming straight down the middle. Picks up the linebacker, But then it's shin all making this catch. And not only does he get up field, but he runs through the contact with Jamal Perry number 33 coming out of the secondary. It just ends up pushing him down field a yard or two to secure the first down. Three catches forced so nine on the season for the rookie. First Down and 10 handoff. Robinson hard running up the middle three yards down in seven from 37. Jacksonville, one and one Miami owing to they have not started owing three back to back seasons since 1968 69 trying to stem the tide here tonight, they played Really good first half to this point. That could be important Drive here for Jacksonville, because if they can score here, use a little bit of a clock and then come out the third quarter. Getting the ball first put put another score up. They could tie this game right back up. And she fakes a handoff. Robinson runs out of the pocket and slides forward of the 35 yard line. That will just be a gain of a couple. So now you're looking at a third and five here. I don't like the decisions, too. We talked about the competitive that gardener Menchu is, But he realizes now the NFL game can't afford to put your shoulder down and take any extra hits. Every once in a while. Yes, we're going to see a quarterback do it when they're trying to pick up a first down, But You get an open field, You start seeing a couple of these NFL linebacker is coming at you. There's no reason to take extra hits by getting some contact with those guys. And then she's gonna go ahead and let this wind down to the two minute mark instead of snapping before the next third down.

"Yeah. So did I Big Ben. Him Back get nothing against duck hodges but. It was nice to have big Ben back and join. I were talking about nobody drafts wide receivers like Pittsburgh. That's been fifteen years. They've just always got a couple of good young players What did you make a Big Ben? Just see rust or was it the same? Old? Ben Well first of all, I have to give credit to that coaching staff. I thought big. Ben was great by the way and I would I was really pleased to see that but they played a giants defense that's from Bill Belichick school do their head coach. And their DC, Patrick Graham who had both have big background with Bela checks. So the giants played a ton of man-to-man coverage and that Pittsburgh staff did a great job schematically with man beater concepts setting up in really nicely. But ben made some great throws and I thought he played extremely well no, that's good for the Pittsburgh steelers because we know defensively, they have excellent personnel that that can't be denied on the defensive side. They've got playmakers. Now I'M GONNA ask about a quarterback who I watched him a lot in college because I'm from Washington state and the more I watch him at some point, I can have my doubts. But Gardner Menchu gets the football to where it should be. He didn't have the perfect size, but you know after a while he's not working with much greg and when guys doing something without much support is he a franchise quarterback? Well, You Know Me Colin I do the tape and I watched you know being home a lot this summer. He's another guy I watched last year probably three, hundred, fifty snaps week one and this will come across I'm sure as a big bold controversial statement but I don't believe the Jaguars Nina, quarterback I think Garner meant you can play quarterback in this league and be very effective. Now is Gardner you going to be a top two or three quarterback and be hall of Famer who can answer those kinds of questions but he's a solid NFL starting quarterback. That's not the problem for the Jaguars Gardner Menchu's refined. He's accurate. He's got a good field in the pocket. He's got deceptive movement ability. There's really nothing not to like about the way Gardner meant you place quarterback..

"Forty three this year he's an MVP candidate are the jags tanking Blame, him I'm not a big tanking guy in any sport, but if the rules allow it, why wouldn't you as much as I like Gardner Menchu, you want Trevor Lawrence or Gardner meant you. It doesn't matter what meant you. If they lose Lawrence will be the pick and we've seen teams do this before in the past the dolphins tried to Dan they just Brian floors to good and they played good football. Yeah. They're doing it because. Well, this team is given everybody away and what Trevor Lawrence does is give them hope. Their tanking and I don't blame him although I'm not a big tank. Guy. Yeah and if I don't see how they're going to win for football games this year. And I know people get caught up in this and actually players get caught up and they get angry and they say we're not quitting and it's not the players who are tanking. It's the management that tanked and that's what happened with the marlins when Derek jeeter comes out and says. I can't believe you're you're saying this we're tanking those those players on the field or playing hard. Dare you put those players on the field and they're not very good. That's why it's called tanking. It's managerial tanking. Yeah. You get to control it. If you're the front office by saying Hey Jalen Ramsey, you're gone A. Year gone we're getting all those guys that are gone you on now. You're right. You Think Gardner meant you watch to say, Hey man I'm GonNa hold this for you until you get your Trevor Lords so I can give you my job and move on no it's a front office tank and there's no question they're doing it and who doesn't want the opportunity think about the Chicago bears if they played poorly Dan and all of a sudden they're sitting there and you've got a chance to get Trevor Lawrence with that defense how quickly that could turn around yeah. The Jacksonville Jaguars will be in that hunt and fields ain't bad..

"I think this year I like to call it they have now and they're going to get feels or travelers. I don't think those guys we busted that one be. Why I jumped into jacket. So it was like the tanking but I think is really more than two good quarterbacks. And I quote they have now I like him. He's got some monks amongst He's even be bomb, obviously, but I like you. Yeah, I like his like his game. But they're not gonna pass up on travel. Lauren's Oldfield especially, I rose to it. They're picking in the top two. Well, Yes, I I don't on. Thanks for the cause. Always, bitch. I don't think they would be passing on Trevor Laurence for for Gardner Menchu, Gardener, man. She was fine. It's access. He's fine. He's serviceable. But no, I don't think he's the future for the Jacksonville Jaguars and I don't think the Jacksonville Jaguars O R the now at this moment with Gardner Menchu, when you know what I'm thinking about the teams that I'm considering as the NFL season approaches. Jacksonville is not really a top of mine. I mean, they were in the news this week because it will happen with Leonard Fournette and everything, something Adrian Peterson Washington. Part of that's a cometary aware, agent Peterson is in his career and you know the value of running backs and then I think part of that is is that style of running back in particular? You know that the straight ahead, Bell cow runner has become almost akin to the back to the basket. Post up, big man where they're they're relics from a different era. And the running backs that you see. I mean, who's the runningback Just got paid. Christian McCaffrey is essentially a wide receiver. At the same running backs have to be able to go out. Why? Now, in order to have the same level of success is just a different day and age. The games evolve. The Houston Rockets center is 6 FT seven You know? And the Kansas City Chiefs. What's their reliance on the running game? May they incorporated But I don't think anybody in their right mind would call the Kansas City Chiefs of running team. Not at all 855 to 1 to 42 to 7855 to 1 to 42 to seven Get to set for the NFL season. I think we all need a little bit of a primer Austin Gail, associate director of content at pro football Focus. Of course, those guys really do their homework. He'll join me next to help get you primed for said NFL season. It is the Robin Lundberg Show, and it's here on CBS Sports Radio. At MassMutual. We.

"All right. No Ranger is my friend. Go Rangers, and it is a hump night. I'm one day ahead here. It's a hump night on one of their egos. Katie Drum and managing editor of the Cowboys wire talking sin Dallas Cowboys football is the Cowboys had their state of the team address, and I agree completely with Katie's point there in terms of spring football. College football doesn't make sense. What are you playing for? In the Big 10 just a conference championship game or you're not gonna have a national championship. It's Ah, It's just kind of bizarre. I don't know how that'll work Ryan Day coming on, saying he'd like the season to start in January. I'd love to see it as a fan. I'm cool with watching Big 10 Football in January. I just don't know. You know, at the end of the day is a player you're getting film out there, Which is great, but you're not really able to compete for a national championship. If you're going to have the A C. C. The big 12 the SEC go through their season in the fall, and they are if they're able to successfully and it should be interesting and also I mean the point of No Gardner Menchu coming out and saying the Jacksonville Jags quarterback Hey, if I didn't have my senior season and he played in the Pac 12 in the Pac 12 canceled their football season, he probably would have been drafted when it comes to Joe Borough. You know, Joe burrow year ago. This time, nobody thought of Jo Bro like we do today what he had been taken in the first round period. The answer is probably not Joe even saying, Hey, I probably would have had to go and be be interviewing for some kind of business related jobs. So it is crazy. What's happening with college football? The Big 12 did announce their revised season as they will start games the weekend of September 26th. It'll be Texas taking on Texas Tech. Baylor will open against Kansas. Iowa State will be taken on TCU and Kansas State will be taking on Oklahoma for your Oklahoma State fans out there. Go pokes. It'll be Oklahoma State against West Virginia and October 10th is still the game for Texas and owe you and that is still supposed to be at the Cotton Bowl here in Dallas, so October 10th That date will be kept taxes so you will be weak. Three for those teams now is the big 12 will start on September 26. All right, we're counting down to the pre game show here on your Texas rain. You're home its Axis Rangers baseball. 105 through the fan will catch up with Jared Sandler coming up next get ready her rangers and manners next to the fans. "Eliminates energy and traveling to your home. Court and having your court be your home court and your own locker room and your own process, and and all those things will be changed, so you're you have to consider that I think the visual aspect of not seeing that stands full will will have an effect on players, because that's like whether your home or away. There's people there, so there's that thing with shooting and everything that I think will be interesting so I. I wonder if they'll cover the seats at all if they'll have media in those seats like how they're gonNA adjust that the other thing is the sound for the broadcast for UFC. It was it was weird, but I I don't want. I don't really mind I. I honestly I don't answer. No, I watched I watched the car this weekend. I I'm so into the fighters right and the commentators I've been UFC fights. It's great, but on television. If you give me good announcers fighters, and by the way the are so close to the athletes, you can hear everything you can hear their feet move right but i. don't know how that's. How that's going to work for basketball because the announcers are going to be there so I mean how close the court we don't know, but you're gonna be able to hear a lot more. There's more players so that can. Be Interesting for the broadcast, too. So Gardner Menchu transferred schools a few times during his college football career, and he says the constant moving prepared him for dealing with the limited offseason in the NFL this year. When I was Washington State? This was kind of a similar thing because I wasn't there for the spring. On as well.
It’s Super Bowl Week
"David Tyree catch Malcolm Butler picked what do you want to force always forward to is super bowls of Jim Nagy the the senior bowl Reese's senior bowl director joins us now you're the show opens up a foreman plan Jim you know I love bringing those two losses up over the four winds because they are the two of the more historic losses we've ever seen in Super Bowl history how are your partner I'm doing great intake from young Courtney yeah that that's the worst part of Superbowl time for me now with all the highlight packages before lead up to the game always showed up to play its role and you were part of obviously yes as I mentioned to both of them before we get into the game and taking us behind the scenes what it's like for coaches scouts during Super Bowl week listless codes back to the Reese's senior bowl when you go back and look at the film and practice and the guys who really stood out give us a few names for every NFL team RB well and fell fans team is not in the Superbowl a few people that that could help their team coming up next season and I wanna drafted in April yeah it's you know we've actually been doing that the last couple days in the office that would be that you could director the game week itself I I'm walking around in and you know talking to GM's and coaches and trying to reconnect with people at an end this year we had some we took some roster hits during the week so I was trying to fill it roster holster practice so we better go back to the tape but a couple of years but a bunch of players that have stood out but dental dams to wide receiver from Baylor had a great week six six three two hundred fifteen pounds what is the right of Baylor another one Antonio Guinea gold and is another big receiver from liberty six four two twenty had a great week chase Claypool with six four two thirty really good we got a Notre Dame another deep inside of all Josh you Jay really stood out you know it's a linebacker for Michigan he can play off the ball he can play Alanis courage you can rush the passer are you sure all of that during the practice week so the cool thing was during the week this this your guys we we we we voted on our practice player the week we had that we have the players do it and I I felt like that meant a lot more to them that it came from their peers and and we really have to position group they went against the most during the week so line voted on the line no corners vote in a white out invites versus so I posted those on our on our Twitter and everything so everyone could see those entry now going back to watch the tape I think the players really got it right we love talking about quarterbacks it really is never too early to start stacking your board will who stood out to you the most in a jail it hurts is obviously the big name coming into the week but by the end of the week where do you I guess you're one through three who should we be looking at that position what are your according Jaylen with it was a big name come in a week if you the big week all week you know just from is tied to the state of Alabama with our game beautiful Beale everything it up did up in Tuscaloosa I DO and had a really strong week he really did you got better you know you got better as the week went on kind of like Daniel Jones did last year Justin Herbert what the overall practice player of the week again voted on by the players that that he was the game MVP as well so just in case a minute really he lit up every day he's got everything you need the big very intelligent death politic you got a strong arm he was accurate all week in really what he showed behind the scenes with the answer a lot of questions that people might have about the leadership and I I don't know why they were questions out there about that but the time Justin he's got a he's got a really good way about him teammates really responded to him all week we put him in a bunch of different situations where you have to show that leadership he just to be just a great kid I got a talking to dad they they did a great job with this on it it made me think yet enjoyed love would be the other one throw that grow in that mix and their direct your junior from Utah state who really talented really natural thrower you know do a great ball all week we just they were so far we've just gone through the one on one at that and a little bit of the team here at seventeen got to the game yet but but Jordan had a really strong week and then in the game entity Gordon for Washington state but the offer the player the game for his side you know he was backed up Gardner Menchu last year in Washington state if you've gotten sandlot look them up all or two and then you get the game to do just make things happen so many did that on Saturday the other quarterback group is really strong this year Jim nagging at the senior bowl director here with us on it pretty fits image on ESPN radio according Cronin infer Freddy I mean if it's Simmons and an elaborate a little bit more on Jordan love because talking to a tech coach Gary Andersen a Utah state he likened him to possibly when it comes to do the draft stock the next to Josh Alan where his stock could skyrocket during Super Bowl week DD do you agree with that do you think he had that kind of a week yes interval week but I got you here right coach any any any you know he's but he's wanted a lot of places and I think that your Jordan came into the year with a really high expectations there was a lot of media types that first round great Doug Jordan enter in sort of the league so that we you know him being a junior graduate are fortunate enough to get him and he didn't have the kind of the year that that maybe a lot of people expected at Utah state I think the no the coaching change you know at definitely had something to do with it it's it's hard it's hard runner whose game the first year that's why what Joe burrow did with Joe Brady coming in for the St Louis with you know even more impressive like I don't think Joe burrows got enough credit for that he was running a scheme for the first time but you know in Jordan I think Jordan might've been feeling the expectations of of the first round step two we don't have a chance to really talk about that when he came down to mobile last week but but the judge with the Josh our comparison it is a very good one you know Josh was the guy that statistically didn't have a great last year while making that came down to to your call and let it up but we all know how that turned out he went seventh overall so could Jordan get back up in the top ten I mean I I don't know that I mean that's that's pretty lofty but he did he did everything you could do down here you such a natural pro respond watch all week so it'll just be like you're the profits worry and up but I do think it's gonna be a starter at the next level one of my favorite assignments that we do every year at the senior bowl from ESPN will go around and ask outs kind of for their take on what they're seeing it practice and since it is Superbowl week it's always fun to hear the comparisons to guys were being you are playing in the game currently it in Harrison Bryant from Florida Atlantic one of our so you know one of our reporters ask out and he said quote he can beat George cattle two point now do you see that sort of comparison you know here so it's really good the past game it really is I mean Kittles kills really developed in a such a good blocker into get Georgia's coming out of that I will program where they used the tide and a lot of a lot of scrimmage though this from a background standpoint here isn't going to be a little bit behind for work short was coming out in any not quite as big a body of George kill but in the past can definitely you know higher than what the Mackey award for a reason because he can you know he's really good after the cat he's he's really athletic you catch the ball it is really good after the catch in which you didn't really see it after you he didn't run a whole you know he did run a a lot of it run a lot of different routes and that's what the that's what the scalp got that the that this week in mobile was with him running all those route that is going to have to do with the next level and his ability to separate get open yeah I mean I think you're the couple tied into this year's group Paris and be in one of them you know a guy Bryson Hopkins from Purdue had a great week out and drop in a small school player gate and had a great week I think I think those three guys might be the you know the first three cat up the board this year what is the deepest position group that you have observed so far you know it's probably what out in again a lot of it has to do with the junior class is really strong at the top with jury duty he Nick in the engine all from Colorado I mean there's a lot of good ones but the senior class is loaded you know we had with a guy come to mobile and it is a little banged up when he got here so we had to you know he didn't pass the physical but Brandon are you calling from Arizona state is a really explosive guy I think he's going to go in the first round and then all those names I mentioned before you know it getting including those K. J. hill mile state with the guy that was voted Platt practice clear the week from his side of it from inside of the team so then it is wide receiver crew it's all going to depend on where that run happens you know I think there's teams that are probably feel like they've got it well enough where they can wait to the third or fourth round and get a starter you know maybe hit on the next Terry McLaurin who is in the funeral last year when the third round it as you guys know how to add an unbelievable you rookie year for for the Redskins so but it you know how many first rounder that'll just be you know when they start going they start calling everyone kind of panic that it it starts taking them so depending on when their run goes it'll be interesting but there's a bunch of first round talent type receivers Mr strapped Reese's senior bowl director four time Super Bowl champion Jim Nagy here with us on ESPN radio Corning Corning ami AMP at Simmons and let's get to the Superbowl you you watch that game also as much as anybody and you scouted take us

"You see all these young kids come into the league Gardner Menchu that may be GM's will start to think you know what we can play with the young quarterback we can find guys farther down in the draft and if maybe it is the bears maybe they go you know what maybe Mitch isn't the guy do you think the tide is turning out how quarterbacks are evaluated in coming into the draft. yeah a lot of that is the way the financial system in the league is set up right now you don't have to play with the young quarterback because like you have to figure out what you had before yeah Hey and your guy can play then you know you you push all your chips and you start trading first round picks birds so as we all miss you these guys you start you know maybe spending extra and other places just to make sure your roster stolid around your quarterback before you get to the point where you have to give them that monster contract and then build your cap around that so I think James are gonna try and look for that opportunity as much as possible you mention Daniel Jones I mean I'm sure if the giants didn't really known what they had and if he was ready to play right away you might have thought differently about you know new line manning roster bonus back in in March I was pretty Grasso would've been hard to do that we don't say like that we carry on running on the team now he's making when you do other things with that money if you have a quarterback do you think can play right away while you still on his rookie deal not even necessarily as a rookie well while he's on the first four years of that would be deal and I think that that's we did it as a lot as twice being guys place sooner and I think that's why you're seeing teams you know when you when they honored someone like that. that is something that they cut it is like a whole they want to run through a before close. what about an update on Antonio brown he you know lives on social media and I'm done playing and he's gone back to school central Michigan what ends up going on there. I've been in my car for the last forty five minutes I still might miss like two major used. but yeah I'd like I don't he's under investigation by the NFL and is under investigation for some pretty serious stuff and and now you know we certainly don't want a lot of that and I think that as a result of that he is right now are staying away I think not just the do we want this guy on our team at all calculus but also the idea if we do one and if we think it's better not to help us we don't know how many games he's gonna play because they're on the league's going to suspend yeah and for how long so that football wise installer football I don't want to get in the other stuff that that we can all agree on that the football wise I think it's a holding pattern for Antonio brown television clarity from the league which I believe will take its time in this investigation obviously they have to get these things right so I think it'll be awhile before we hear major news Antonio brown unless you count the stuff he delivers on social media as major news about an update on Jaylen Ramsey I've got the flu I'm not coming at all we I think that's what I am what's up with him. what is the error of any use ours standing was he's going to be there today and and jail around he wants to be traded he's been clear about this both privately and publicly the Jaguars are not sure how they're going to proceed they don't know if they want to trade him at all this may be some dispute in their own front office in their building about how they want to proceed if they do take them out on the markets are going to demand a lot which is you know could make it hard to do a trade so it's it's another situation it's kind of. all of our over the past week jail and has the ability to move it along but so far he hasn't press that Brady hasn't stayed away he hasn't threaten to sit out a game he hasn't done any of it it is this is the day to day thank and if he gets the end of this week and I'm in a hypothetical round here but because the end of this week and he has to get a sense that things are moving along a straighter quest and you wonder if a guy goes I look you know maybe I'm not that I'm not healthy enough to play this game or maybe you know so I I think it is a situation where it hasn't moved much in the past week but there are reasons to think that in the next couple days yeah it's kind of a critical points for this because if he goes too long then it gets to a point where the guy could maybe start making the problem worse so far he has is there one team that has had a tough start maybe it's the Steelers maybe it's the Oakland Raiders thirteen that you've seen the went. team could still rally the troops. it's the eagles I mean I I think you have to have faith in the eagles and their coaching staff and what they've done the last couple of years at a rock star last year too and of making the playoffs as as you guys well no and the yeah I I think they want to live in so banged up health wise they could easily be one it's really going to Green Bay tomorrow night still not all the way home in terms of health so it really rock star but I just feel like with what Doug Peterson and his program is accomplished over the last couple years you have to sort of keep the faith in that team as one that that has the ability to turn it around before the end of the season Hey man appreciate the time as always have a great day I'm sure by the time you get to where you're going to be six more Antonio brown stories. yeah eight eighty eight they can have them yeah I completely agree have a great deal so you buy there you go that's our guy Dan Graziano from ESPN let's get Bob and send bill Michigan he's got a question Hey Bob welcome to the show sparkles. alright buddy I did. what happened. we lost them you hung up on a guy no no that he was going to. he was I know exactly what he's gonna say he was gonna criticize manage your put Amman raymone star opened his mouth done now that that is not true and you know that you can say something negative about match he was going to ask if the truth is you could be Trent Dilfer at best. that may be worries that if..

"That so just keep on moving now what I am going to talk about is jaguar quarterback Gardner Menchu and his new found fame and some of the opportunities that are presenting themselves now because of it one in particular a seven figure endorsement offer notice I said offer not a deal offer because Gardner is yet to accept. any probably won't. any shouldn't or maybe should we consider how much money is on the table we lay this out and before I do let me remind everybody is is not a show for kids never has been never will be I understand a lot do you drive around with kids in the car keep that mind I'm a dad I get it I empathize I understand. a right now this story features adult content he may not be suitable for the junior high car pulled you understand good I'm not gonna mention the company by name because that's their entire point with their offer to Gardner but an adult entertainment website has written to me and you asking him to do some work for their web cam department the pornographic website came across the now viral story the gardener has a pregame stretching routine we typically performs in nothing but a jockstrap sometimes when nothing at all. of their offer to Gardner is that he lied a weekly exercise class live on webcam wearing nothing but said jockstrap the other part of the offer is he becomes a brand ambassador for their new line of. but how do I put this. how do I put what they want him to promote. try to think the best way to put this. tennis pockets. they have a brand of pen as puppets. so right now the website cells costumes for the mail package. includes a vampire an elephant. even a watermelon. so of Gardner agrees to the endorsement deal they will be releasing a jaguar poppet this all women in accordance. if he does not agree to the deal the website said they would make the same offer to his teammate Nick Foles. falls has a widely known gloss around the league the makes him equally as relevant to the adult website and I will leave it at that. for saying few things here first notice I did not give the name of the website there is a reason for that once a year some adult film company or a strip club will often outlandish promotion or endorsement deal to a pro athlete pretty much knowing that they won't say yes just to get attention and Ron from people in my business it's a brilliant tactic which leads to free advertising wise to it I understand that racket I'm not gonna play that game so whether Menchu accepts or not people still talk about it in office and you have all this exposure for a website. and it's in a bunch of new places and they don't pay a dime for it. you know I'm like Jerry Jones I'll be honest I'm gonna sell my advertising I was selling I'm not gonna give it away the thing is the target demo for those websites is pretty similar to the target demo for sports talk radio so much to participate I'm not giving away free advertising that's how we do it what I wanna make one point. because that's what this comes down to write money Gardner Menchu is making four hundred ninety five K. this year he's a sixth round draft pick he's on that rookie deal for several years five hundred is pretty good money right really good money but this adult website is offering to double double back. for a weekly naked exercise class and some poppet promotion but Nick Foles is making twenty two million to we have a collar bone right now offering that guy another mill to webcam nude is a non starter but often it to a guy who's never seen that kind of money before. and he's making five hundred K. and can go from five hundred K. to one and a half million might be something you might think about like I'm sure there's a long term play here and you say I'm gonna make it back home to make it back but it's the NFL your next up on if you could be your last imagine getting sixty seven percent of your income from.
Minshew, defense shine as Jaguars thump Titans 20-7
"Into the Jacksonville Jaguars hosting a one on one Tennessee Titans on Thursday night football Gardner Menchu the starting quarterback after Nick Foles broke his collar bone in the season opener Menchu making his second start but his first at home and what a memorable one one play after the Titans adoring Jackson's muffed punt men sure went to work. is the one for state. Joe Buck on the NFL network seven nothing midway through the first quarter men she was even more precise.
The Jaguars face the Texans in an AFC South showdown
"Right Thursday night football put a pin in it the AFC south showdown between the Tennessee tied tunes one in one after that dispiriting home home loss to the colts now travel to the big chlorine tank Jacksonville to face the Jaguars and Greg. This is a a very interesting match between also the titans this we wanted to in your tain you find it interesting but I'm trying to sell to the greater raider public the titans which they could not have looked better in the second half against the browns on the road got everybody sucked in and then look very much like the old titans and we to which WHO's WHO's the real titans in two thousand nineteen and the jags anytime you this is a caged animal game West Cornered Animal Game Owen to everyone knows your season's season's over in the NFL when you go with the added element caged animal of your cornerback trying to get out of the cage before the game exactly exactly so there you go that way. Greg caged animal game against the Titans team that we really don't know who they are yet. We've seen a ceiling floor. Laura ready and a quarterback in Jacksonville that sort of resembles a you know. A cute furry caged animals to garden. Gardner Menchu looked fine in his first start but this is a perfect match up for Tennessee to get right not only did. They wipe the floor with Jacksonville. If I remember a few times a year ago they're a veteran and secondary who should be able to swarm and kind of swallow this Jaguars offense which was very condensed the week ago. This is just so this such delimited team. They're so thin you know how sometimes Dak Prescott. He's completed eight passes to different receivers in the first half. They've six Jaguars period have caught passes this year they. They don't have a backup running back. Their offensive line is very thin and they were struggling to pick up blitzes. It's just a lot to ask for mint you who I think's doing a good job and their defense offense to carry them. I think when you have the B. Line through both games was that despite some big plays on offense for the titans against the Browns Marcus Mariota. Uh is not a quarterback that propels any offense. He's any seems to hold you back in one in one thing that I find interesting about a team like the titans versus others is that you get Adam Humphreys and you mentioned on Sunday any finishes week to with negative two yards. I thought he was going to be the perfect thing for Marcus Mariota and AJ Brown big game week one really nothing in week two and it says you cannot count on the titans attack week to week outside of. I think you know Henry. Potentially early on the ground has been consistent since last November so one of the better backs in the league they're gonNA need him to be big in this game but I do trust every other element of the titans and in their defense and to me. I'd be surprised if they don't win this by ten points or more there the better all around team. I expected to win but you never know when a Jaguars defense it's perfectly capable of shutting down the Tennessee Titans who are not dynamic on I mean they shut down the Texans the Texans. I think they were touchdown. I believe it was on a very very short field otherwise they did a great job and that was without in Gakugei and boy. I don't know if they're back but they got pressure on Watson and that's two weeks in a row for Watson Awesome but Watson that didn't shut the offense down against New Orleans man she mania. There's the night all right.

"For his career sixty one touchdowns and forty five interceptions. A sub sixty percent completion percentage. Osa red flag for some people six point three yards per tempt. Pretty low also has the sale injury in his pass. Like, you mentioned yet the NFL seem to really like him from what everything we were hearing the eagles liked him in the fifth round above guy Gardner Menchu. I think Taibbi Jackson was the real surprises. Well, not going before him. I feel like I'm going to be repeating myself here. But what would the eagles see in him to make him worthy of that selection is it is processing speed his quick release on and throw timing routes his toughness. I've heard talked about a lot like what's the cell with Thorson? I think with or should it starts with the mental perspective the mental process side of it. Because you know, it's a watered-down discussion. But we were having with twin Haskins. Remember, the Haskins discussion I loved him from the mental side of things from the huddle to the thrill. I thought he was one of the better quarterbacks the best quarterback in this draft class because of the way he reads diagnosis into sides. But then sometimes the execution won't be there. It similar Thorson. I mean, for example, you talk what his game and gets Notre Dame this past year two thousand eighteen missile play in the third quarters. I tent minus forty eight they've got the Ohio concert. You know with a slot receiver run out in a boundary. Go to the right. He comes off of it that he has a dig backside, which is wide open and he misses it badly. And it's one of those sort of set reset and throw moments where you might see a little bit of drop off the ball place because of the lower body lack of confidence in no set reset and throw moments which were straight for him times. They were bit of disappointment with them last year. But you have the mental process. He sees the concept of the right cover. He comes back side, and this is often RPO design. Yes. The dig route which is open to everything about the process is what you want from the quarterback. He just misses on the throw you'll save than a slant. Flat concert earlier the game off of a mesh concept mesh a mess in the backfield is gonna post wheel to the other side. Reads all four the gets through four reads MRs on the throw so you have the mental part of checked off. It's just the execution at if you've sat down. With ham. You've sat down with his coaches. And he's like look I had a knee injury that lead into an ankle injury. I was banged up. That's why I didn't go to mobile because of these lingering injuries. I wasn't one hundred percent this entire year, but the miles and you've seen on film that looked the mental part is there. It's just a matter of fixed the execution. If you firmly believe that it was mostly matter of injury that you're probably looking at guy that is still that day to pick. You're getting on the fifth round. I mean, I think that's sort of best case valuation standpoint when you look at a hand work attract. Yes, so I can see where that projection would comment as far as like all the love coming for him into the season. He has the entry the mental part part is is there and the eagles go will you know, what maybe maybe it is having a lot to do with the injury. Maybe this is something we can develop and get more value out of because we think that he can be a higher ceiling prospect than what he was able to show last year. So maybe there's some untapped potential. Maybe without the injury. You know, he takes. A necessary step forward in his game to be better quarterback another dimension. With him is in -ticipant because this is also that sort of window into the mental process of quarterback because if you have to be a CEA throat if you're relying on the road to come open Lear thrown at too late. I mean, there's that great Antonio Brown quote when Ben Rothlisberger was hurt Landry Jones had to plan CBS game. And I think it was before Tony Roma's times was probably Phil Simms Nance and they were talking about sitting down with Landry Jones. And he was saying that Antonio Brown told him, look, I see you throw the ball. It's too late. Like, you gotta get it out before the break otherwise defenders gonna break on it. I'm not gonna be able to make cat two of his plays against minutes. Minnesota. I think exemplify his ability to anticipate windows.

"Liked that one. It's yeah. Really took him a while to come up with that. Hey, it's done a lot of traveling great thinking when you're on the point where do you got Chris EPO stock up Minnesota Timberwolves? They did a great job today. Just getting rid of a guy addition by subtraction. Not only they get to really good players when in Covington is a great three in guy, which you need in the league. Now in search is a really good all around player. So addition by subtraction. They get the guy out of there didn't wanna be there who if you're messing with his he's all about winning till you mess with his money. Once you mess with his money ain't about win anymore. You want to sit stock up. Minnesota timberwolves. Number two, stock number two, Mike Leach, he's one of the great characters college football. His quarterback who's putting up numbered gaudy numbers this year Gardner Menchu. We had him on the program last night. Just putting up gory numbers has has a nice moustache moustache guy. I like mustaches. So he puts a fake mustache on Mike Leach and likely just rolls during the post game interview. Like nothing's going on. He's one of the great characters in college football knows how to develop quarterbacks stuck up, Mike Leach. Very nice job. We get to the stock down. Bill Belichick and the reasoning Bill Belichick has nothing to do with an impressive defensive performance up against the Packers. When you hold down Rogers to seventeen.

"So you could have gotten into the World Series than I Carver high for like, did you see this three hundred bucks? That's not bad for up there. It's pretty cheap. Right. I mean, they're not great seeds or anything. But bottom line is you could have gotten in for you know, between three twelve and three Twenty-three could have gotten a ticket to the World Series. You can't beat that. Well, you know when you win as much as they went up there. You know, it's just you know, it's a lot easier to give up the tickets you've seen so much winning in so much tradition. And so many great things that eventually it gets old. And you just don't wanna go anymore surprise surprise today. Spent part of their evening screaming the Yankees suck. Well, that's what they do. I mean, that's that's you know, say it is we're in the World Series. And you're worried about the Yankees, you know, he's still got to talk about the Yankees. Like you kick their ass. Wasn't that enough for you? Not surprised. I just think it's so cheesy like what are you worried about them for your plan for crown? Right. Like, I said, they're bored. They went all the time. All the all the other teams. It's a title town USA. You know, it's hard. It's hard. They need to come up with some things to get the motivated. So I saw this thing with the today. One eight for a game one of the World Series game two tomorrow night. Did you see the ranking the best quarterback now in college? So I did see that Mason fine of North Texas. Number ten. No one's big year. Don's ever seen him play. Tyreek Jackson of having a really good year. Another guy has ever seen Gardner Menchu the Washington state quarterback. Now, I love him. I think he's a really good quarterback. I think he's done a fantastic job with a legion codes. And I love McKenzie Milton. He's number seven at UCF. They get zero respect call McDonald. If you've seen the Hawaii quarterback play he can sling it. Yeah. Absolutely. Will Greer who's playing Thursday night against Baylor? West Virginia's quarterback he's number five. Derek king? I believe is the Houston quarterback. And they got a big game this week. At home, no less and then against south Florida. Right. I think that's the deal Tyler Murray's number three Dwayne Haskins of Ohio State, number two. And to attack of allure is number one. In college football now is going to win the Heisman hands down. That's done deal. I think that right now, it's definitely his to lose. I think that him winning will be determined by how he plays against LSU. And Auburn those will be a he can win it with those games. I gotta tell you I will keel over at Auburn beats them. I know it's a the iron bowl a huge expected. But they're they're terrible LSU's not being either. I mean Auburn has been so flat this year. It's like you don't even recognize him. Do you think they'll fire malzahn, they shouldn't? But you know, nobody can nobody can have a bad year anymore. Nobody can you gotta find your last year great year last year. He's had great seasons. But one bad year, you have to go you have to win eleven games every year era else, you're out. That's how it goes around. So are you buying or selling all this talk about Derek Carr, having a bad relationship with his teammate? And then he said, I know it's not a popular thing to be a raider right now. But I am and I love it. I love the struggle of trying to fight back for our city when not a lot of people believe in people can try all they want to tear survive. But it's not happening to the real ones. Don't waste your time. Don't waste your time with this big, bro. On the ground a yelled, get me up. Give me up then I got to the sideline yelled again. Now one not one time. There's the people click on it because it sounds crazy. But stop playing with me member people are accusing him of crying during their game. Yeah. Sure. That's exactly what he was doing..
