"Authorities have not said what they believe might have motivated a man to shoot and kill 8 people at a Dallas area mall over the weekend, but one police official suggests that the shooter may have embraced the views of far right extremists. Man who lost wife, son in Texas mass shooting tells story
"A vigil was held Sunday in Cleveland Texas for 5 people who were shot and killed after a neighbor was asked to keep the noise down. The pain could be felt at Sunday's vigil to mourn the deaths of Wilson Garcia's wife, 9 year old son and three neighbors ages 31 21 and 18 TV station KTRK covered the gathering. Following the vigil Garcia talked about what happened last Friday night. He says his month old son was trying to sleep, so he asked neighbor Francisco or a pesa to stop shooting his gun. Garcia says some 20 minutes later or pays a walked up to his house and started shooting. At Tennessee air national guardsmen has been arrested after federal agents say he responded to a parody website promoting jobs for hitmen, Josiah Garcia submitted an employment application February 16th to the website rent a hitman dot com and sent several follow-up emails over the next month that included his name, address, phone number, date of birth, and a photo of his Tennessee driver's license, an undercover agent provided Garcia with a fictional target package and $2500. Garcia was arrested the same day. Garcia later said that he had not intended to go through with it, and that he intended to take a job offer at a national medical center instead. But the big thing we had to get it out immediately because this is in the news is that this is the most in depth interview, the speaker's done since he made the decision to authorize the release of the capital security tapes from January 6th. The surveillance video to Tucker Carlson. So I asked him, you know, for the logic and the reasoning why he decided to do so. He argued that it's in the interest of transparency and the public deserves to see what happened there and whether or not it fits with the narrative that the January 6th committee is putting forward or that they put forward. They are defunct committee now. They're totally shut down because the new Republican majority ended the thing. But then in addition to that, I also asked him if intends to release them publicly. And he said they do. There's 42,000 hours, he said, which is a lot more than the $14,000 that the committee staff said. Last Congress that there was. So they're going through all the footage right now. And they're removing things like secret doors, security reasons stuff, right? Like they can't release that stuff, totally understandable. I'll go up to one 35 and fight him. If he wants to come down to one 30 and challenge me for my title, no problem. He's wanted this fight as soon as he got that belt. He may have even wanted it before he got the belt. So he's motivated and hungry for this fight. He also knows the kind of chaos that he can deal out to these guys if he derails javonte tank Davis. Yeah, it's not the same thing, but there could be a little beeville Canelo vibe to it in a way. Like are we discounting Hector Luis Garcia coming into this fight? I mean, Garcia physically is the bigger guy. Not that that's ever been a problem for tank before, but he's not coming in this undersized guy who's just gonna get swarmed and overwhelmed. I think this is a good fight. I'm looking forward to it on January 7th. All right, last weekend, we had a terrific fight on showtime. Frank Martin, he beats Michelle Rivera. This was viewed Dan coming in as a 50 50 type of fight or maybe 60 40 in favor of Martin. It was like 95 5 in favor of Martin when it was over. He drops Rivera in the 7th round. He wins. A lopsided decision. I thought it was an incredibly impressive performance by Frank mard that made me believe he's ready for a lot of a lot of things next year at a 135 pounds. What did you think? I agree with everything you said. I've liked Frank Martin for the last couple of years since I've seen him on some undercards going back, probably two years ago. I've been impressed by him. He has a good amateur background. He has obviously a good team behind him, you know, training with Derek James and being at the side of aerospace and Charlotte in the training camp. So he's got that going for him. He's also not 22 years old. He's already like 27, so he's as a person more mature. And it just looked like when you watch him like this guy's going places in a pretty good way that they didn't have to give him 2025 fights to get him prepared. He was still in the teens in terms of his total number of bouts, but they're willing to move quickly. He wants to move quickly and he showed against Rivera that there was a reason for that. And by the way, Rivera, who's younger than he was, you know, didn't shy away from taking this kind of fight either. So I give both guys credit. It could almost operate kind of as a staging ground for Ryan to get ready, make that weight in a healthy manner. And then do it that way. But this was going to be at a full fledged one 40. And so there's no upside there. And as far as the finances go, Ryan's not going to miss that money. Ryan's not. Ryan makes a lot of money outside the ring. He's not going to miss whatever he was going to make for the Mercedes Benz to fight. He's doing just fine financially with everything's got going on. Outside of social media following alone generates a lot of money for him. So it's not an issue of money for him. And look, if he and Joe goosen believe it's better for him to stay in the gym for an extra couple of months to just hone in on javonte Davis, then I'll take their word for it. I agree with you. One that could derail a multi multi-million dollar fight against Ryan García, but he's going through it and do it with it and deserves credit for it. But at the same time, I'm with you. Ryan doesn't deserve any criticism for saying he doesn't want to fight. My issue with tank is this nonsense. He keeps spewing about Ryan testing Orion being on PEDs. Like you can't just, you can't just throw that shit into the universe. You can't. Like, more importantly, like not only is Ryan said, I'll do advanced testing for our fight, golden boy said the same thing. There still is no contract yet for Garcia versus tank in April. That's still in the PBC side of the ledger. But when that comes through, both golden boy and Garcia have told me that they want advanced testing for that fight. So I don't know why. It's like tank sees one picture of Ryan on social media and he's like, all right, well, this guy's definitely doing something. I don't even know where that came from because, you know, you and I both know there are certain guys where the rumors are always been that maybe they're using and maybe it looks like they're using. Ryan García was never one of those guys where like even, I mean, you never know for sure what goes on behind the Jim doors or whatever with any of these guys. But he was, he was not somebody that would come to my mind that was using PEDs. I just don't, I just don't buy that really. And yeah, I usually wake up about 7 o'clock and today I think I woke up at 6 30 and the effect it's had on my entire personality, just the way I've operated throughout the day, it's been chaos from beginning to end. So it's nice. See someone who's, you seem like you're in a better place than me, right? Maybe. We'll see. We'll see about that. What have you been doing with your day? Well, jeez. I woke up. Let's see, I woke up at 7 ten today, so it's not a competition, but competition, I got an extra 40 minutes. You know, I rode the peloton for an extra 5 minutes than I usually do that at ten minutes. So actually 20. So I have that type of, I feel like it's kind of changed my energy today to 5 extra minutes on this low impact ride that I did today. And then just wrote and hung up, I have a new baby hung out with a baby a little bit. And that's about it. Nothing too crazy. Nothing too crazy. This sounds like a lovely day. And we've got two things, however you want to discuss. I want to discuss the peloton. I want to discuss the new baby, let's start with the exercise. What I have yet to be on one of these machines. How long have you had yours? I've had mine for about a year, maybe two years now? No, maybe a year and a half. I'm losing track of time. A year and a half, got it at the beginning of the pandemic. They were on back order, so it took 6 months. I'm saying it's not this past summer, but the summer before that. Okay. And has it been an enjoyable purchase? It's been hanging clothes a lot, and it's been, I was really excited about it, like it was going to be like a life-changing thing. I've yet to accomplish, I think my hundredth ride, which is not like I use it very much, but in the last two weeks, I've resolved to use it more. And so I'm getting back on it, and it's been I'm doing three or four rides a week, and it's been okay. Just getting a little exercise has changed my mental health for the better, I would say. Right. A thing with the peloton for me is I have no idea where in my home I would put it. Where are you keeping yours? Right here between, we're getting a little dead and the wall. Oh my God, it was in the room the whole time. I feel like it's been eavesdropping. Yeah, it's listening in. But also got you a gift. Yeah, it's definitely not a sexy place for a peloton is in your bedroom. But we have a small place and we're working, we're working with it. Yeah. It kind of makes I feel like anytime you see a peloton ad, it kind of is in the bedroom. But maybe I'm wrong. That does, it feels like a place you would put it. I mean, you don't want it in the living room. I mean, unless you're someone who has just so many rooms that they can just throw exercise equipment into a random room. You've got to kind of make a choice of it being kind of this bike that's just sitting in the middle of a room at shouldn't occupy. Got it right, better jokes before I get a peloton room, I think. I got it. Eventually you're going to have that room and you're going to have just a whole line of pelotons to choose from. My own studio. My own studio will be fun. Now, when you're on this bike, do you listen to your own music or is it like, are they deciding on the music? I'm at the mercy of the peloton instructor, which could go either way, and I always forget to check. So I got a two red hot chili pepper and an uncle cracker. The other day. That's Jack FM. That's very Jack at them. And it was torturous, but I have decided that I'm not going to change. Once I get on the bike, I'm not changing the ride. I'm just going to stick to it. As almost like an exercise in mental toughness. So I've done that, right? I also did Christmas music last week by accident. And I just sat through it. And I was like, you know what? I'm just going to play it as it lies. And I'm going to do that. But sometimes a peloton instructors are want to be DJs and DJs are bad enough, but someone that wants to be a DJ, and they can play some pretty terrible stuff and for some reason I haven't been listening to my own music. I think I'm just trying to let go of a person that is growing as a person allowing someone else to make that choice for you. The Christmas one is the peloton instructor dressed in like Christmas clothes? Yeah, no, that's Santa Belfort. It was called a stocking stuffer or something. And I was like, I didn't really even pay attention to it. But that's not like the preview like the little image had like an elf on it or anything. That would have tipped me off, but I should have known by it. No, it's called a stacking stop for a stuffer. And I was like, I don't even know what this means. What does that mean? Stacking stuffer? Well, I guess it's a ride you could stack with other rides. And I was like, oh no. And what sort of are they playing like Bing Crosby or is it like high energy? Pretty much binge crust. It's like you're just walking around the Americana, but you're trying to get trying to lose a couple LBs. Just walking around the fountain. Yeah. Oh, that sounds deeply distressing. Music when I'm working. I go to a gym once a week and sometimes the music is, I feel like they're putting it on to convince me to beg there are moments where I'm like, if I paid you more, would you stop playing this music? Like the last time I was there, there was like a metal cover of Lady Gaga's bad Roman. And it puts you in the worst possible mood. And I'm already feeling bad. Laura was getting ready for work and saw angel was still in bed. Assuming he'd be getting up soon to head to school. She left the house however angel at other plans at ten thirty. Am angel went to see his friend. Joel with whom he had planned to dirt bike with and the pair went the joel's uncle's house which had a field behind it. The pair road together for a few hours angel on his bike. Enjoy on an atv until the rain outta gas. After the pair pushed back the drills ankles house angels said he was going to continue writing and east hartford. Joel declined to go with him. Citing other plans at one pm joel watched angel ride off alone heading east. At nine thirty pm laura was getting ready for bed when she noticed angel wasn't home however she had work in the morning so she went to bed assuming he would be back at some point right in the middle of the night. Laura awoke to yellow yelling echoing in front of the street below her bedroom. A voice which sounded like angels at said go ahead break it laura laughter room in a panic and ran into a in the hallway who had also been awakened by shouting. What would a successful ryan garcia mean to boxing in your mind. I mean if he's able to not only beat luke campbell but let's say in twenty twenty one. He beats devon haney and tank davis to the top guys in hundred and thirty five pounds of his. You it's a lot to ask. We know ryan is is clamoring for that tag davis spite and evan haney is clamoring for the ryan garcia fight. And i think both those fights at least the haney fight theoretically could happen in the first half of twenty twenty one. But what would that mean for boxing. Like i don't wanna put too much pressure on the guy. But i look at him lance as being one of if not one of the rare crossover type of stars maybe the biggest crossovers having the biggest crossover potential since oscar de la hoya when della was always on the talk shows always doing you kinda mainstream type of things. It's not disrespectful to deployed or manny. They just weren't those types. We manny in part because the english. Barry jimmy kimmel stuff every so often but not not a regular base in floyd.
