Ceo's go undercover to meet at the Gamba or the floor closest to the customer. They're always enlightened all struck by what they find they. Then take that information back to the top and make game changing decisions. How often do we ask to observe and learn our customers business prior to selling to them over the last few years in medical sales? I'VE BEGUN TO PITCH AND ASK FOR OBSERVATION TO FURTHER. Understand a be a consultant to my customers. I'm often surprised how many agree to this. When asked properly the nice thing about it is when they do agree you not only become the undercover boss so to speak but you also inevitably get two calls out of one. Ask for the opportunity to evaluate their business and then writer report up on your findings to see if you can even be of value to them. Ask for that second meeting to deliver. Is Fear Driving Sales Of Monsanto's Dicamba-Proof Soybeans?

Finance live for eight hours of live market coverage. They're ready. Are you when a product is successful? Usually it's because people really like it. Right. But some farmers say they are buying a popular new kind of soybean seed, partly out of fear that if they don't they won't have a crop next year, the soybean is resistant to herbicides dyke Cambe and farmers say that the soybeans are driving other seeds out of the market. Now farmers are taking Monsanto to court claiming this is an antitrust violation and pears, Dan, Charles has the story the biggest new technology on midwestern farms. These days is a new family of soybean seeds the seeds go by the trade name extend their worth an estimated billion dollars a year to the company that sells them Monsanto now owned by. Bayer and Dennis Wentworth in central Illinois is. Totally on board. One hundred percent of the soybeans that we plant are extend soybeans these news. Soybeans have been genetically tweaked. So they don't die when you spray them with a herbicide called die Cambe now when worth can spray this weedkiller right over his fields of Cambe, tolerant plants it controls the week. It kills a week. That's bottom line. Doesn't doesn't affect the crop in just three years? These new varieties of taken over sixty to seventy five percent of the American soybean market. Farmers say they've made the switch because die cameras better at killing the weeds, some farmers also. Bayer say the new seeds produce a bigger harvest. But a lot of farmers say there's also a third reason for Randy Brazzale in southeastern Missouri. It was the only reason I just hit go along with the Cam. But program whether I like it or not Brazzale already had his seeds ordered for next year. Not the new die tolerance. Soybeans. He was going to use other weedkillers, but then in mid December. He got a phone call. I had a neighbor a friend. And who calls me, and he says I am going to have to go dot Gamba. And that changed Brazil's plans completely because the has this well problem, it's sometimes blows away after you spray it across property lines into neighboring fields. Lots of people have tried to stop this chemical companies have reformulated the product government regulators of restricted how and where farmers can spray it. They put these rules on the product label and still die. Cam bef- Hume's have curled up the leaves of sycamore trees and millions of acres of traditional Siberians across the midwest and the mid south so brattle said can't risk it happening to me. He cancelled his entire seed order bought the new Di Cambio, tolerant soybeans instead, then I have to get on the phone and call every other neighbor and say, listen, I did not want to do this. But I am gonna be forced grow dot Cambe. Will then that forces all those neighbor to grow deck in by will then they have to call older neighbors. And eventually what you have is a monopoly. Among the losers in this situation are seed companies that are selling competing products like rob Seco in elk horn, Nebraska. Rob Robinson is the CEO. We don't believe in extent. We think is too complicated is very difficult to meet the requirements on the label, and it causes too many issues with neighbors like fights over damaged crops. Robinson says he's lost customers over this. Most of them. He says wanna buy extend soybeans at least partly to protect their crops from harm because their neighbors are spraying die Cambe. He says it's part of the sales pitch for these new seeds at least on a local basis or being sold with this idea. So it's actively part of the sales processes prevent wait. What what do you mean? Exactly. You mean people selling extend are actually using this as a selling. Absolutely, yes. Seed companies will remind farmers if you plant extent soybeans you won't see any damage from Canada. You won't have that conflict with your neighbor. Now, how far that goes up the management chain it within Monsanto and now bear. I can't tell you. But I know locally that it that's the message several law firms now have filed a lawsuit on behalf of farmers arguing that Monsanto violated antitrust law by selling Cambe, tolerant seeds, the lawsuit claims that the company understood that the risk of drifting dot com, but could drive competitors out of the market Baier has asked the court to dismiss that lawsuit decision as pending. Bayer declined NPR's request for an interview about this issue in its public statements. The company insists that if cameras used properly according to all the rules. It won't cause any harm to neighbors. It says farmers are buying extend seeds solely because they offer better week control and higher yields. It also points out that reports of Di Cambe damage were down sharply last year after the company and other groups held hundreds of training sessions for farmers. The company's critics though say fewer crops are getting damaged in part. Because so many farmers have decided to buy Bayer's product crops that Cambe can't harm, Dan. Charles NPR news. "No chance no truth at all no way not only amid sometimes history that dislike them a lot right and but you but this that's the whole that's the whole point and so you are way it is like it it doesn't mean he's happy with what we're doing all the time in fact that's the profound thing of of what's going on here is that you are way has eternally for thousands of generations bound himself permanently in the covenant commitment with people that he knows are deeply flawed and deeply selfish are you with me this what it saying there so some of us we've had a scenario like this maybe with friends or family member where an you know don't say their name running but you know you've had this experience where you watch someone that you care about and they're really awesome and then they end up getting hitch to the total scoundrel get on your just like what what is your signing up for a lifetime of grief right because you're you're binding yourself in a commitment to someone and you it's gonna go horrible it's going to go horrible and that's that's like a sad tragic example but this is also something i took couples that when i do weddings myself it's kind of a downer and it's really important the easiest day to make a covenant permanent lifetime commitment to somebody is what they're this the first day your day of the easiest day design your life way to this person and so here's what it means if if if you're signing your permanent commitment to seek this person's wellbeing win you feel like it and when you do not if means you are signing yourself up for a lot of conflict and resolution and tension in this because you're you're flawed human beings and this is exactly what you always committing himself to end he knows it he knows what he's signing up for when he binds himself to these people even says it multiple times man you are stiff neck people can't put gamba here but here we are i'm your way and so this is what i do because this is who i am i keep my covenant love perpetually.
