Lucky you are You still have a mother on the radio? I listen to it. Sometimes I go back to your old stories and Frank with the one arm. Forget about Frank. Oh, yeah, Yeah, yeah. The halitosis Frank now, But when you said that we did do we paid the transfer market did something It was horrible. No, I don't want to tell a story. About one on Frank is a famous story of one of my family storybooks. There are no people. No, you got me distracted. Now we're supposed to talk about disease and the president, But I want to ask you something. There were people in those days in the fifties who had such a breath on them that you really could faint if you were in a car with him. I don't smell it anymore. People. Is that like a product of like mouthwash or better hygiene. What was it that was so bad in the fifties and you could die from them? I would get a migraine around him. I know your ice maps. You know, I got guys that wear dentures and that'll wash my car. Come on, Jimmy. Stop it. That's an attack. That's an Italian thing. Come on. It's always the provolone. He took him on the product. You say provolone, provolone e gets some say apples, Some say oranges. He's a provolone, provolone E. You know, we said hello. No provolone. How do you say calamari? Because some of New York's a gala Mari Right now. We should mop Gallimard. So now what is that Sicilian Gallimard. That's a silly and gal Amar. You know? How did how did what about what a good mama smells like. I can't say I can't do that. Sorry, almost mixed it towards up together. Have that only come on, Jimmy, stop now with now, with descending into male hoodia, Cut it out Way can't exhibit any sign of old male behavior on the radio. But You know, Jimmy on the podcast. I got it. Wait a minute. Hey, Jim, Stop the music. Jimmy, would you agree to be a regular guest on my podcast? Maybe once a week. I would be their trysts for you. I'd do anything you want to know. I got it. So I'm going to maybe get some like great callers that I currently have. It will call him on. Right, Jim. We could do that. Now be fun for you. You know, I have hundreds of thousands of people a day of download the podcast. Now, I guess it's gonna triple when I'm no longer heard on the radio. As long as I want to do it, we'll see how it goes. Jimmy. I would send you a free copy of our fight for America. But I already got three. What you do with them? I'm waiting for them. Oh, they didn't send them in the mail is slow. Do you know about Pelosi was? Oh, yeah. Yeah. I'm trying to get a car but just now for three months I'm trying to transfer Get Ah, sticker from my car. It's I went out of date. It's three months. The California Department of Motor Vehicles is so busy certifying illegal aliens to vote. They don't have time to like the motor vehicle stuff. With enough time for the motor vehicles and the only time for Department of Mexican voting. Wait. Did you think I know you never get the guy that robbed your car in the parking lot. Oh, that was a false alarm. It was found. Would you believe it? Dirty son of a skunk. Well, let's are no, no, that was two years ago. That was two years ago and nothing but the Chinese restaurant where I used to eat in the in the mission in San Francisco, where they broke in the car, install everything about a year ago. That restaurant just went out of business. Been there for 25 years. So it looked Jimmy the world's changing on all of us, But let's get back to the behavior. The president, do You think we agree that you think the joyride was a mistake? What about him going home today? But listen, let me just say this before I leave you and I will go. I will be on your kids just call and I'll be there. But listen, we got a Chinese restaurant here, but I will not eat in it. You know, you know what the name of it is. Kobe discussed. What is it called? One, Hung lo. Come on. Now. That's juvenile. We heard that in the fourth grade. Jimmy. Let's get serious for me to cut out the juvenile jokes of people. A lot of them think I'm a jokester. Your cousin died from Kobe. How old was she? 33 years old Adam. Okay now did she have underlying conditions? She was a little overweight. That was about it. Okay. But did you know that you have anything else? Asthma? Anything like that? So she was just a little heavy. Right, That's all. Okay, so she got the disease. How long will it take till it took her out? Not even a month month and a half. Month month and a half did she go to the hospital at any point? Yes, she was in the house little immediately. They had a run of ventilator respirator, and they're right onto the ventilator. And when she died, she died on the ventilator. Yes. Say it. God bless her man, her mother or destroyed So I don't understand how President Trump. Well, that's what I'm saying. To me. This is risky behavior. I don't like it. No, I don't like it for him. I don't like it for the nation. I don't like the message it sends Jimmy It's very negative. Let's even just talk about him. I think he's putting himself at great risk by by getting himself out of the hospital. I don't believe a word that doctors say they say what he tells him to say. They're all afraid of getting fired. You know that the other day One studies part for the city lost his oxygen. The other one studies find the other cities near near did not find So the doctors basically afraid to say anything for fear they'll get, you know they'll get punished or fired. We don't really know how sick he might have been or how sick he is. But why doesn't he stay in Walter Reed for a week? Is what? I don't understand, Jimmy. Drain. They can't walk. They can't get to the door. They need help out and I did it in two days. Must have been the French fries. Who the hell knows? I don't know. All right, Jimmy, stand along..

"Bill Huggins of Huggins and Scott Auctions and our producer Eric Kowski were until eight. You can give us a call that 312332 3776. If you have an item you think might be worth selling in a Huggins and Scott action. If it is, we'll try to give you an estimate of what it might sell for, based on what some past the items have sold for. There's a lot of nice items in already. Now, Bill you're up. It looks like almost 2000 items in the October action. Yeah, well, but I think we'll end up with just a few more than that. When all is said and done and The guys are actually still Anything for you. For the next auction. We've got Another gentleman called the other day that another Jordan rookie is a Seven and he was trying to decide tonight put it in our way. First he was going away. Then he called me back and put it in. It's going to be in. Yeah, I know. I sent in a set with a Jordan rookie that got a P ece that you guys got grated forum. So that 86 litre basketball settle B in there, and there's a lot of and we've got. We've got 390 Boy, Man, I'll tell you those Those currents that they definitely took a boost with the last dance that Jordan stuff. You have a lot of unopened packs and boxes and in the auction to let's listen to some of these things. 75 76 tops hockey unopened 36 pack wax backs BBC wrapped a $500 minimum bid A 1975 taps baseball. Many cards. Unopened Wax Pack pair each graded seven. A $200 minimum bid on knows that's a chance for Britain, rookies and 75. Tops 1972 tops Football. Siri's one unopened wax backs BBC wrapped $1500 minimum bid on that one John Reagan's Archie Manning and Ted Hendricks. Rookies Archie Manning, of course, is the father of Peyton and Eli Manning, and not a bad quarterback himself. So his rookie, you can get out of those and 1976 tops. Star Trek. Unopened boxes pair, both BBC wrapped $3500 minimum bid on those baby while and bidding begins and all this stuff this Friday October 9th, So we'll see what happens with this and we've got Superman tied on the line. I haven't heard from Superman tied in awhile. What's up? Hey, guys, How's it going? Good. Just curious. The tweet that I sent you this morning with the four frames pieces. Oh, yeah, I see what your thoughts on the value wise Where boy? That's nice. Now it's ah, He's got each one framed with maybe 10 12 cards from each season. 55 Cubs, which had an Ernie Banks, second year card, big sour and a lot else you can see when they say, like the background of Ernie Banks. When he got to the Cubs. There wasn't a lot of help there, then the next one. This is cool of 59 taps white sacks. That includes Really pierce early. Wynn Louis Apparition CEO and Nellie Fox. A total of 10 or 12 cards. They're these. I don't see every day. This is pretty cool. 61 Chicago Blackhawks Stanley Cup champions with a Bobby Hall and a stand Makita car, those air good cars. Now and then the last item being 63 Bears Championship with a Willy Gallimard more card. Willie Gallimore was kind of like a gale Sayers type runner. Who died in a car crash. I think the year right after the 63 at training camp, I think the year after the 63 championship, so that's pretty need the key to these Superman Tad is how good a condition they all are in. Obviously, you know, front and back, but I mean, it looks to me like you'd have just the way they are now would be hundreds for the collection. How long did it take you to get all the cards together for those? Actually, I got those at ST Tail and before I bought, um I did a lot of research on him. I had I always carry a jeweler's loop with me, so I wanted to make sure they weren't reprints. And B. They weren't glued down opposite corners. They have, like the photo corners. No mounted in there and they under a jeweller's they looked, you know, legit, Could you Khun? Hell, it's a big difference between you know real in return, so So they look nice. Yeah, well, that's that's good. It's It's good condition. I'm sure you did. Well, if you got a minute, so they were already in the frames at the estate sale yet that there just the way I picked him up. Good pickup. I like it Good to hear from you. Thank you, okay. Let's see. No, next time the line we have time from wheat and welcome to the show time. What do you have? Good morning. I've got you're talking about unopened pack the cars. I have roughly 20 unopened 1989 Dhanraj baseball card. Well, unfortunately, that was from the overproduced era. But the good part about that, at least those do have that's the Griffey rookie. And you know that you can get out of the 89 glamorous and if I remember right, those were really sheep. Kurds stock So it's probably kind of hard to get high grade, you know, like a p s a 10 or a B. G s 95 or 10? Great and the Griffey so I would think those have a little bit of potential. But Bill Huggins aren't the $89 still kind of not hard to get. He and unfortunately like you said, they made so much of that stuff from the 86 to 92 year that it's going to take a few more. Oh, generations for that, I think really hit any, you know, substantial level of value. It might almost be better for those open them and see if you can get a Griffey and graded But you know, I don't want to tell you what to do. It's kind of fun to have unopened packs also, Tom, Thanks for the call now and listen to some of the other. Unopened packs. It's the older ones. Basically, If you have the more really high price cards, you can get out of a pack. Then the higher price. The packs are the unopened packs. So listen to some of the minimum bids and some of these Here's a 1959 taps. Football Selo pack with a sharp but off center Jim Brown on front. Seven for that pack $1500 minimum bid on that pack. 1968 taps Football Selo packed with a Bob greasy rookie. On the front say 7 $1200 minimum bid that says, for one pack met for a box. 1983 Fleer Baseball Selo pack. With a Tony Gwynn rookie on the front and a say nine, so that's 1983 flare. That's when things were starting that they were starting to run the print a little more at that time, but still not..

"He doesn't That's the old him. Alright, buzzer. They ran all those people out of town, then that under a shirt. They don't do that. That's that's Ah, That's just his on armed guard, thinking that I shouldn't call them cheaters. I've sent you They had a good graphic on the broadcast about their batting averages, compared to what they were three years ago. I mean, you know these guys significantly down Springer is the only one who sort of kept his numbers in line. I believe that's who drove in the tying run as well. But Here. We will get to baseball, but I feel like we need to talk. Pat Mahomes, Chiefs 30 for 20. They beat the Ravens. We wrapped up yesterday's show. I think I said that. Lamar Jackson. Only one M v P because Pamela Homes got hurt. Excuse me, Patrick Mahomes. Don't call it fat Mama will get ahead. I don't want to offend them. Yeah, I think he's the best player in the league, and I think I said that I didn't consider it particularly close and not to pat myself on the back. But I think that game last night was a pretty good show case for what I'm talking about here. He's just I mean, look. He's really good, really, really, really, really, really, really bad homes is 385 Yards, four touchdowns. He rushed another one and Lamar Jackson get to get to him. Maybe his worst game as a professional. I'm sure he had some bad games as a rookie in there, But look, I don't even knock the Ravens that much because The Chiefs of the best team, All right, They're the best team in eyes that you're doing it and they're doing it on both sides of the ball, too. Fellas. Just Patrick Holmes is is is 75% of it, But that defense is playing really, really stout. Yeah, You know it is. It's not just my home's being the most talented player in the league, which I which I think he is. Yes, Tyreek Hill, Who's the fastest player in the NFL? And has Travis Kelsey, who is probably the best you know, past catching tight end out there on and Andy really walk ins, Merkley Hardman and all those guys Marcolini. I mean, that is speed all around him. Andy Reid is probably the best offensive architect in the history of the game and go into a home run with Clyde Edwards. Filaret looks like out of the backfield. Yeah, He's quick on his feet running the ball. And so, yeah, I think it is. I mean, we are on the verge of a maybe, like Michael Jordan type situation where I think Pamela Patrick Mahomes is just going to win the MVP every year that he stays healthy and I look, I know you two make arguments, something for Russell Wilson and other guys right now, But if you want to, you know who was the best player in football. It's Pat Mahomes, and I don't think it's close. I'll tell you. I even said it. Are we going to be disappointed with the lackluster performance? This was just you've always said is Lamar Jackson gonna get found out? I think last night was a showcase of Patrick Mahomes. Just doing Patrick Mahomes. Things making right backpedaling 10 yards and throwing it for 60 played a Tyree kill is unbelievable. How many guys put it like? Pen pointed like that in the we'd like it was nothing really threw one underhand that second shuttle pass audio Alabama side to watch if you like, five times because I was like what We just do there, honey, I think you just flexing their. Here's my hot take foryou. I went into that game thinking that if the Chiefs would lose one, it would be a close one. I think I called like it was only a three point game or something. But if the Ravens won, Okay right now, with that dominating of a performance I mean, I'd like to know there are some really others still great undefeated teams. But when do you start talking about barring having the Miss Games? Just when will this team lose this season? The with the Chiefs. I mean, there was there was overtime last night with the Chargers on They got a tough schedule to they have to play New England this week on and you know, it's the NFL crazy things will happen. I'm not saying that they're going to go, you know, 16 0 and or anything like that. But they're just all they're always going to be just said right there going to be the favorite in every game. It's not overtake just to be like they could run the table. What barring injuries and covert? Well, well, yeah, I mean, that's ah lot of variables in there, but here, let's let's talk for a minute. Gallimard Jackson, is this a Is this a problem? Is this that them for him getting found out? I think the difference between that game last night and a normal Lamar Jackson game. It's just a couple of deep passes. You know, they didn't hit any of them last night, and normally he, you know, coughed it up twice, right. But that is that's the problem with Lamar Jackson is when he's down two scores like when Russell Wilson is down two scores. I'm still afraid, Pama homes obviously watch the Super Bowl. If Lamar Jackson is down two scores. It's just like the playoff game with versus the Titans a year ago, right? Do you do you trust him to be able to come back in that situation? A time of lifetime Longhorn? Devon Duvernay doesn't run one back that scores even uglier. And and Lamar Jackson is the light has even shown on him even more, and that's it is. It appeared panic time when they got down in the SEC. Second half it was just It was panic time. And you're right about Devon Duvernay of Duvernay done. Run that back in my guy first one of the season. How crazy is that? In all of football that first. How crazy mean 3605 90. What do you think? By 1283605 90 We get to our top by bottom five. Lim. We return sportstalk just getting started..

"Yeah. So today we're discussing Michelle. mouton. A woman. We've this is this the first time we've discussed a woman on the show. This might be the first episode dedicated to a lady. which is a bit embarrassing. I would say so yeah. But no better woman to start off this trend with and Michelle. She is easily one of the best rally drivers ever. She's a beast. So I'm really stoked that we can tell the story even if it took us a little while to get to it, that's on us but but it's interesting because motorsport is really one of the sports where women and men compete against each other as true like she's not the best. Female driver ever. She's one of the best rally drivers at. Yeah. Regardless of gender she's one of the greatest. and honestly like just watching a video of her rally driving makes me sweat. Over, yeah she's like she's the person who when we talk about. Like rally cars now are all-wheel-drive. Wheel drive. But when Audi showed up with quattro and just started smoking everybody that was Michelle. Meantime that was young Mouton Bay. mouton on the track. Yeah I mean. To your point James like drag racing of course is or was kind of dominated by women at one point all the force sisters were just tearing it up. There's really no reason. For it to be separated by gender in in Motor Sport Really of course right now there's the there's the W. series, which is a like a women's open-wheel series. At I think that's more for them to kind of get exposure and it proved themselves in like a formula car but I'm looking forward to seeing some of those drivers come up in the formula. One. Soon hopefully, it would just make it more interesting for crying out loud if nothing else I agree let's get into it a. all right. Let's fired up. All Right Michelle Mouton entered this world on June twenty third nineteen, fifty one in the French Riviera more specifically the idyllic town of grass cross grass Ross. The Idyllic town of Gross France, the perfume capital of the world grassi surrounded by fields of aromatic flowers and home to Francis. Oldest perfumery GALLIMARD. Look I'm friend by far French is the language that I have the hardest time pronouncing both words and names I apologize profusely to anyone with a modicum of sense of how to pronounce stuff I. Think you're doing great. I think I think here like right there. Thank you, Joe, unlike many drivers whose family have a history in the sport returns family made a living growing roses and jasmine for the perfume industry mouton spent her youth skiing doing ballet and excelling in school. But just beyond the flower fields sat the mountain. Stages used for local rallies and wouldn't be long before the engine notes trickling down into the valley beckoned to Michelle mcgann discovered her love of cars at fourteen years old when she would steal her father. Pierre's Citron to seavy and take it out for joyrides. Quote for me at the time a car always meant freedom and independence she said but driving wasn't something she could possibly see a future in it for anyone to envision that path for mere enjoyment to making something your life's purpose but you could argue this especially from. Models for women on the racing stage were few and far between. So after graduating high school Bhutan took up odd jobs working as a ski instructor, a Care Assistant in a home for the disabled and eventually at her father's insurance company until she began studying to be a lawyer but something unexpected would quickly put an end to that career path her entry into a competitive rock and roll dance contest.

"Hear that, And then you're going to hear silence from me because I Because here's the thing we've talked about it with a numerous of prognosticators, handicap, fists and all those other things into catalysts, handicappers, whatever they want to be called, and they've all said that sounds like that. Sounds like ah, somebody that is doing something wrong. No. They've all said the wind total for them. The projection wouldn't change. No matter who plays that position told Chester, he said. It's not gonna matter, he said. It's not going to move, he said. The line the doesn't it doesn't really matter that much. Maybe the game day line moves a touch. But I don't think that he who shall not be named is worth any. Any points in value to the seniors. Just reference you made around the around about why he didn't. We could talk about the other. Position groupings on the field without talking about them because it's so insignificant that it doesn't affect anything out. By the way. We're not buying the lions are we? I know Matty Stafford is going to be healthy. He may not be after the Bear's front seven gets to him. We're not buying the lions to beat the Bears are we? I feel like the lions are you make? I'm making that bet right now on the lines of the person at the bar that like four drinks in your life. Okay? All right. You've convinced me because, like I can go through me like Matthews convince you of what that Matthew Stafford is going to be if he's healthy all year that the defense is going to be better. That they have a solid running game and that they're not going to have a solid game. So this is the way our running not saying that they're going to be be in contention for the division. I'm saying that they're going to be a more difficult team to beat than they have in years. They're gonna be a more difficult team to beat this year than last year, because last year they had Jeff Driskel under center one game and they had David Blough under center. The next game, Matthew Stafford was hurt. Like I'm more of a Matthew Stafford fan than a lot of people in it. I'm not gonna get irritated today because it's the Friday before a three day weekend, but it's just like everyone I think everybody thinks thinks it through when you When you evaluate quarterbacks well, like there's only a handful of guys that you're like, are great. And then there's another group of guys that You'll ride with But you may not like like Matthew Stafford's one of those guys like, okay, you're elites are Aaron Rodgers. Patrick Mahomes. Like I'm going back a couple of years. Okay, so I mean, we can argue this. Whoever Who would you say is the lead now? I would say Probably the cut off is like somewhere around deck. Presque I Carson Wentz. Okay with that to me, That's where you start talking about those Gallimard Jackson, Russell Wilson Breeze. I would give you Russell Wilson. Still Drew Brees and Roger's Aaron Rodgers. Brady Holmes. I don't know Brady's on that crew anymore. But you're definitely in that Brady involved. This burger are still on the whole Are you that Aaron Rodgers? I was talking to someone who's a big big NFL guy who thinks that Darrin Rogers is is losing it a little bit, so anyway, might know that I'm just telling you, Matthew Stafford is always one of those guys. That is part of that next group. Yeah. Yeah, but Here's the thing right. You look at that line. The lines are the favor by three. That's just home. But home field means nothing. No water. I think this is a prime contrarian play, though, because isn't it first? First look way Don't use big words on Fridays. Right? Like, isn't this an Abdullah back me up here like this is one of those plays everyone looks at the bear is supposed to be better. All right. Here we go. The Bears are coming in great defense and all this stuff and everyone talk like that when they talk about it, and then and then you get to Sunday afternoon, and it's a one point game And then I really use this Sunday afternoon and there still lying where the lines are up 10 in the fourth, and Mitch has to drive the last time The bear's world was way doing keyword or we doing making a point when we're trying to have a conversation. I don't know. You tell me what you think. What do you think that was acceptable? When was the last Last time the Bears won their opener. It's been a long time. Yeah, that's Dan. We're told. This is a lot. When was the last time they played that line's open the season back in 1992. We did it. Some guy I know had the winning touchdown on 4th and 3rd and goal with five seconds left on the clock. Who was that? I don't I don't remember his name, but I do know who he is. Okay, So what? I don't know where I'm at right now. Other than okay, it's quarter Quarterback free zone. There's a lot to talk about with regard to this Bears team were in football mode because a week from from today we're going to be re capping Kansas City in Houston. I got the Bears schedule in my hand..

"Same direction regarding your Google in and you're right and even to that point so so check it out so just imagine now let's just say for hitching giggles your Ron Rivera right here you're out here and the Panthers but you're still young enough guy in the mid fifties and you're in good shape in your mind is straight and you respected in the lead guy as a former excellent player and an excellent coach and now Jerry Jones you know he ends up let's take in the eight the Garrett Scott all at speculations of the truth so now they've been starch moron Vera may be coming to the US cowboys head coach out like if your him are you going to want to be a veteran head coach whose legitimate as a coach you don't want to be old would be in on the minded and disrespected appalled doubt by the owner I'm I don't want to go to cal boys a list of money is insane and I have full protection and creative control of my team my scheme and my owner of the team is not going to I love the microphone on the camera so much my point is some coaches that have your little long in the tooth democratically credible they might not want to go if they have a lot of patience to downscale bush well that that's fair and lets the draw is of the Dallas Cowboys and America's team and and doing it in Dallas and the popularity of that team and say and I I could be the guy that can get it right because coaches have a teleconference but you're right I mean there are coaches certainly ties that are are not going to want to be a part of that are not going to be and that's something that you know when when people not chasing Gary the in and I get you can document exes and ohs I I understand that ties the one thing Jason Garrett is able to do personality wise something that bill Parcells grew tired of something that Jimmy Johnson grew tired of is dealing with Jerry Jones is personality dealing with the over the top nature deal and what can you say he's the owner of the team so I mean there is one point you know what this is all you need is is that there's not a lot of guys that can deal with that but in order to deal with that you have to get through a lot of nonsense and a kind of well you know put the boots on to get through a lot of P. S. because there is a lot of nonsense that goes on there in Dallas that doesn't go on in other places because of how influential the owner is and how much he wants to be involved in terms of the football decision yeah and and and that's the thing that's why I'm saying I mention the guy just for the hell of it like around like a Rivera a veteran coach I think a younger of cultural not a college to your point about the star and that the brand the Dallas Cowboys and likely to Riley yeah you talked about that you know the cowboys io he's got Dallas Cowboys head coach written all over league on because he's he's down in Oklahoma which is you know is on a map super close your eyes to Dallas well the country big twelve exactly he I'm sure would look at it like what is amazing amazing opportunity the Dallas Cowboys Tom waves used to coach this team this is unbelievable like this is amazing you know that type of thing and a yeah alright I'll have to do with Jerry Jones but he will be subservient to Jerry Jones quicker than a guy who's a veteran coach like let's say for NGOs gone ski from from the Broncos I'm not seeing the cowboys would wanna this got this man is not going to go there and deal well Jerry Jones or don't have to don't have to know you're gonna have to deal with that going in that's why you don't go in if you have options right and I get that I understand that but it is not going to be a marking out from the start I don't I don't eat yeah I I don't I don't disagree with you but I think you have to go in there with eyes wide open I guess I look at it ties in terms of you know looking at at Jones the owner yelp is a you know we talk about what the faces of teams and you look at a cross the National Football League there are not a lot of orders that are the face of the franchise Jerry Jones is the face of the Dallas Cowboys yeah yeah I mean it's just not die right Scott it's not as he kill Elliott it's not chasing Gallimard composed of Laurie Cooper it's not the market's Lawrence it's right so what yeah how are you eight I I think you could say that basically he's the only owner in the National Football League that is you the only owner like I'm not I'm kind of I don't think there's another older I mean listen it rams fans in Saint Louis can't stand stand cranky right now they want BC they put his head on a bull's eye you because I have him move the team to Los Angeles I mean at what point in time I think the only guy that had that kind of a field was al Davis well no doubt about it al Davis raider that's very true that et al Davis love the horizon rate he was the face of the raiders just win baby he defied raiders football when he thought about the Oakland or Los Angeles raiders he thought about al Davis only there's another older in the National Football League has no it was you could take one where I said to myself yeah that's the face of the team right yeah and even craft like he's not the face of the shakiness on camera Lottie talks a lot but he never ever ever on the minds of coaches no all the players are Bella check be gone long title belt check wouldn't deal with that I think that's the other thing too I think coaches that have that success in their confidence and their belief in themselves they're going to train you how to treat them they're going to train that owner you know all of that squad of their team Hey you're not going to publicly help me out you want to go behind closed doors and you want to you know go off on me or get mad at me or tell me I'm doing wrong no problem all well publicly you gonna kill my credibility that's really a problem Seattle the Garrett has that relationship like that with Jones I don't why would I grew the IBM PC Goerlitz Jerry Jones beach are John said man I think that's where he's able to survive and why it for so long you know I I think that's why geez Garrett still the cowboys head coach because he is not down frustrated by this because he has not stepped up and said this is nonsense this can no longer happen bees are they if that was transpiring ties I think Jason Garrett might be gone awhile back and will still be the cowboys head coach well let's just say you're right yeah I agree but let's just say like just strip mall in my call a college coach you mentioned looking like route let's just say a guy older let's just say of the great Nick save it let's just I know it's not gonna happen he leaves Alabama okay I I would have no shot the NFL that dolphins thing flopped really bad I want to give this whole NFL thing is a chance and a grin I'm sorry a good Jerry Jones of the cowboys get a hold of Nick save his people this is not going to go to the Dallas Cowboys and deal with Jerry Jones like a guy like that I'm saying a coach even on the calls of let that's Lorna truth that successful believes himself that will have options he is not going to deal with someone like a Jerry Jones that's the thing about and you're right I think that's how Garrett kept the job so long because he just did his job and let let Jones duty wants of just lazy on or whatever you want so you know we want to cut my feet off the same it nicely all publicly then that's his business I'll let him do it alone does is the owner last year ends and once you hit rock bottom well true idolize it was you get into your contract right if you're saving the you get into a contract like bill Parcells will point in time right at control right then the all star and started to win and then Jerry Jones are to get more involved in the bill Parcells basically white his hands that I can't do this anymore right right judge you go all the way back to as you know I've through our younger went when the cowboys were winning when Jerry Jones first bought the Dallas Cowboys right they brought in Jimmy Johnson and then they started you know winning precipitously in Johnson did a great job with the draft in the Herschel Walker trade the like Jerry Jones his ego couldn't handle the fact that Jimmie Johnson was get all the credit yeah and and they started to **** heads their ego started to **** heads that ended that relationship and he brought in a guy like Barry Switzer who was not a good NFL head coach we know what he was a college but Barry Switzer all right rode the coattails of all those jobs employers it or win a Superbowl down there in Dallas but they haven't won anything since now I think it's the ego of Jerry Jones that is perfected sustained success here for the Dallas Cowboys I really do well I totally agree and I'm and I think that he wants to have that guy you know who will fall in line he wants that guy who used to micro manage and we'll be subservient to him.

I'm talking about so they're doing the top one hundred in the Tribune the you know this is a summer I think Ritchie Pettibone was today if you want a phone our buddy last week that marked the pot is will be doing business sometimes Willie delamar all right Willie Gallimore was feeling better than he had in a long time is surgery and it was at the nineteen sixty four bears camp back then it was in a town called run seller Indiana are faring tend to force your player big contributor one of the better all time greats to this day and similar to Walter Payton and many said years later Whaley Gallimard are twenty nine year old at the time father of three right this is a standard but like this time of year all three young children he was coming into his own off the field he become a civil rights leader in his home town Saint Augustine Florida a few weeks earlier is it in sixty four was the first as it says your first black person to register as a guest at the town's pencil daily on motor lodge on July twenty seventh nineteen sixty four Gilmore was driving with his team made wide receiver John ball Farington back from the cross creek Country Club where they'd gone after practice to purchase some pizzas and they're gonna show the players get together later that evening at training camp in Rensselaer Indiana I remember this so terrible tragic while heading back to the dorms at the Saint Joseph's college where the bears all we're training and run so later with his passenger wide receiver Farrington Gallimore as Volkswagen skip all the curvy country road I bet we all of those votes wagon collapse the conflict both men rejected hit by the vehicle build on impact I'll never forget this I was a young bears fan yep I don't really have much more to add to that it's a you know I'll just be careful it all they did it and then elicit bells back down into the Volkswagen was that at thirty dollars probably three hundred dollar got it made no money you know but anyway just chilling and I flash back to this story hello and the final over reacting but just something to flash back and you know just yeah whatever yep they can be careful gotta be careful you never know you walk out the door hi I thought this the he's stolen the tragedy now this is well known by a longtime Chicagoans is sort of has a been a channel eleven did a great documentary this recently a the Eastland was a as both the traveled from Lake Michigan across the world the essence is slander this is twenty the year nineteen fifteen and was scheduled across Lake Michigan for a telephone company picnic but the big big company called Western Electric over there and Cicero Avenue and twenty second street your old stomping ground F. as but there were so many people are twenty five hundred employees run as big data a boat families to take the trip seven twenty five in the morning across Lake Michigan to a big company outing there was a judge ruled in Michigan city Indiana what happened was the crowd was on all around the ball but they all ran to the one side it was right here like in Michigan Avenue or street and a river right there we can look at where it happened they all ran to the side of the boat eleven years of pull that up it's an interesting story the don boat the weight of all the people running over it capsized right here and people were trapped drowned right here between let's say LA and Clark at the Chicago River turned on its side twenty third a water drowned eight hundred and forty four people trapped below the deck three days later the Chicago Tribune listed under the headline Western Electric employees missing and possibly dead the name George Halas worked in department forty one ten ad Western Electric as Tim banyan road in the Tribune the twenty year old George Halas had a summer job with the Western Electric yeah and on Saturday July twenty fourth nineteen fifteen land to join his co workers a Bob the S. "Are out of town this first weekend in April, husky softball at California nice weekend series sweep for the dogs and Heather tars team last weekend. You baseball's at Arizona looking for a bounce back after their series with the beavers and crew racing in San Diego this weekend. But there is a Friday night home soccer match at montlake worth attending. Yes. Soccer is a year round sport including an ambitious six spring schedule for the Washington women. Joining us in the doghouse the head coach of the husky soccer squad, Leslie Gallimard, so you have rain FC coming. To your home pitch tomorrow night, then yet matches against your college. Neighbors. Seattle Pacific Zanga eastern, Washington. Western Washington coach what's goal this time of year. We kinda mix it up in the spring. We've got great division two programs in the state, and we're really fortunate as a, you know, a program to have a lot of great programs within driving distance that we can play stay locally because that's kind of part of the rules. You're not supposed to get on an airplane. If you got close close by in the spring, so and we're really fortunate obviously to have a professional team from the NWF sale in the rain FC in our state. So the community shield usually comes up early in our spring schedule a little bit earlier than we'd like they're going to be on like their fifth preseason game. And we're just back from spring break. So we're gonna throw our best that it's just a great opportunity for our young players to get better playing against the likes of of those professional women. Just tactically the speed of play the physicality of it will be a real challenge for our players. But we're only gonna get better from it. You have a lot of returning players mixing and matching looking for new combination. Nations opportunities for youngsters. Yeah. You know? Everyone's everyone's getting a fresh. Look, we've got some players coming back that have had health issues. We have some players out still that had injuries, but we're still primarily freshman and sophomore team rising rising sophomores juniors and with with a few seniors that obviously are more experienced. But you know, and and we're just we're just trying to make sure that every player on our team understands that they have a role in that the that in understanding that role on the field and off the field. They step step on it. Every single time representing the university of Washington. The best way they can which is to give max effort and have a great attitude about playing with w on their jersey our results important or is just the style of play. It's a combination we wanna compete, you know, the results are absolutely paramount. But I would say that you go out trying to get a result every game. That's that's competing. And if at the end of the game, we can look at it and say that our effort was great, our attitude was great. Our our strategy was right. We just didn't get. Done on the day. Then we'll be all right. But if we don't perform, well, even a win, and we're not doing the things tactically that we're asking the players, and we're not competing with the grit and determination that's expected. Then we'll have something to say about it. So it's all those things kind of rolled into one. But obviously there's no pressure to make postseason right now. But these things you only get a few opportunities in our sport. And then their offer some replaying, and we're not coaching them. And then they come back for pre-season. This all has to. You know from the time we ended in November until now at all has to add up to coming out in the fall guns. Blazing the other important element of Friday night's home match with the rain is the contributions and the research and support for the Boston Everett foundation. She was a young woman who played goalie in Seattle and went on to college and whilst her battle with cancer. But her legacy lives on. Goosebumps. When you're talking about it and an awesome ever foundations become kind of a mainstay. And everybody's heard of the foundation now mostly because Austin's mom lays done such a tremendous job of keeping Austin's dreams and goals alive after her passing Austin Austin was actually someone that Amy coached when she was younger she came to our camps. We watched her go off to Santa Barbara and transferred to Miami. We thought she had it beat. She didn't. But that young woman is someone that that we all still hold near and dear to our hearts, the rain along with the university of Washington, and all of our sports have really taken a liking to that foundation. Because of the work they do in our community June's a tremendous person. And it's just it's a no brainer. And again such a worthy cause to help kids that are battling cancer. Like Austin did to have a bright spot through sports in their lives while they're they're trying to fight the toughest fight of their lives. And a lot of those kids come to your practices to your games there around your student athletes. We talk about husky. Giving day which is tonight. That really drums at home. What you can do just giving your time and being around somebody. Yeah. There's there's all there's all kinds of things, and I would say sort of obligations and duties that come along and responsibilities that come along with being one the coach at the university of Washington being a student athlete at this place. We are part of a tremendous community in the Seattle area and the university community itself, and to be able to, you know, have people support us the way they do through giving not only to the university of it to the athletic department, specifically to our team, our alums are so attached to this place for life, and and just that feeling of being one with the school with the community. And with our alums is is like it's like, no other place. It really is. And so the foundation in combination with being giving day, it's just a feel good thing. And again, I feel it's a big responsibility of our our student athletes to kind of grow up here understanding that they're part of something bigger than themselves. You like college soccer who doesn't come out and watch Washington play the rain FC what time. Match Friday night seven thirty Friday night and husky soccer field. They're under the lights. Coach. Always appreciate your time. Have fish Bill dogs Leslie Gallimore preparing for her final season at the helm before retiring at the university of Washington, great coach pro dogs and April showers that's coming up in our final segment of the Thursday night. Doghouse on KOMO news. Spring.

"What we we? We gonna do with that. That would be my question. I mean, I know it sounds like a good idea. And obviously you've been saving your money up, and you guys in and obviously there's some pent-up the part where you're in a sub for extended periods of time. There's a bunch you. There's like two toilets and the whole place and frustrating, you know, fresh air, and maybe so I got that. And you're in the Philippines. So the certainly Gallimard your actions, but it's the part where you you get all ten of them over there. And you basically are parading him around in front of your men. The navy had a problem with. But in reality. What are you gonna do a ten? Plus, you got it yet. Now, you gotta watch tantamount to make sure they don't steal stuff from you. 'cause you're over in the Philippines. Now, if you're planning is nine of them to stand around and chant while you rub bird blood on one of them. Because that's your religious thing that I stand corrected. But I don't get the impression that it was. Plus, you ten women's squawking at you. Oh, I'm sorry. Ladies you want to be around ten men. No, you don't. As it turned out, the navy less than pleased with the sub skippers choice of engagement. Naval criminal investigative service agents were alerted the Tzeltal toll to other sailors at a hotel pool or bragging that he had quote ordered ten girls to arrive at the hotel. One of the sailors saw Tzeltal with the ten quote provocatively dressed females. Outs where when he met him at the entrance of the hotel. Tzeltal did admit to investigators city paid for female accompaniment. I have a question, and I honestly don't know the answer to this. But I suspected this is some Uni uniform code of military Justice thing, maybe I don't know. Is there is there some way if you are deployed or in this case, your leave in this case in the Philippines. But if you're if you're a member of the military, and for your official capacity, you're over in another country and that country has legalized prostitution. Well, I mean in Germany, we have obviously we have a military base over there. And they have legal prostitution is there a prohibition for service members of partaking in that? I'm honestly asking because I I'd be curious to know eight eight eight nine three four seven eight seven four eight eight eight nine three four seven eight seven four. I just I don't know the answer. And I did watch full metal jacket the second half. So it could be a little confusing. All right. Which I in in. I suspect that the problem that the navy had with him had to do with the fact that he was the dude in charge, and you're not setting a really good example for your guys. Plus. Yeah. Let's face it. That's that's way, too, many Filipino hookers. If there had to be a number. I don't know what the number would be. But the numbers not ten if we're in for being honest with ourselves. Also, I read speaking of the navy. I read a rather interesting article. And actually, I think this is very cool. And what it is is these Atanas drone boats are becoming a thing. Looking at all the navy Hooker. Experts are calling like all the lines are ringing fantastic. So one of the things that they were talking about is the rollout of these unmanned essentially naval navy strike ships. So just like you have the air drowns these things are buzzing around in the ocean. Obviously, they have a a certain amount of weapons capacity and it varies depending on what what they are. But. Their upkeep essentially is handled by those who are unmanned ships but other than that through sound patrol. And I I thought I thought that was really really cool actually. But then I had a question. So if I let's say, let's say that this radio thing doesn't work out and in very short order Rawson, I out on our butts. And we decided that we got we got to make some money somewhere. So we're gonna we're gonna take up tuna fishing and we were to inadvertently much like a dolphin capture. One of these things do we get to keep it can claim it and on a more serious note. Is there are they secure enough that basically US weapons couldn't fall in the hands of a Somali pirate. And I mean that seriously I would like to think that that wouldn't be a problem. But I don't know. All right. Let's get to some salons here. Jordan europe. I go ahead. So about their reputation in Germany and stuff. Yeah. For us servicemembers. It's illegal. There are a lot of times. I'd like red light district. But yeah, where where where? From being in those sorts of areas. I wondered about I wondered about that. Although I suspected people might sometimes ignore that provision. That's a risk. They're willing to take into their own hands. When they do that. Accent. Action. Well, I just I think it's the part of this guy ordered ten that may have stood out to everyone. All right. All right. Well, thank you for free. It's the kick it over the Ted the priory did Ted. I was playing a video game once in my dad before he passed away. Yeah. Took place in Vietnam. And in the game, you could leave base in late Goto lakeside gone. Yes. My dad's sitting there and he's playing with his character. You know, he's walking through Saigon. And my dad just nonchalantly goes ever tell you about the time of hooked up with Vietnamese Hooker. And just like, I say, no, I don't wanna know. Don't wanna know gotta go can't hear, you know. Luckily, you didn't let it deter you from your love of games. And that's a good point because you would associate those two conversations a Bob go ahead. Yeah. It's not just some arbitrary rule with the UCF J. The biggest thing there is anything even remotely.
