The Transfer Portal: Is the NCAA Asleep at the Wheel?

"Transfer portal. I don't think it's an animal phone is out. I don't know if there's a bad concept, but when you basically made it a free agency. In other words, I mean, I can drop out of the portal. Instead of it being, hey, I need to get closer to home or, you know, I'm in my 5th year. I mean, again, that we've seen to be going back to a trend here. How is the NCAA just completely asleep at the wheel over these couple of issues? Well, they don't care about the game. They don't care about the loyalty. They received pressure from the woke community and my opinion to allow freedom of choice of everything. That's what they believe in. Freedom of choice of everything. And so there are no stipulations for anything. I mean, the PGA Tour has it now with the live in the PGA Tour. The same things going on. Limiting freedoms is bad in our society now where it was good for about 200 years and it seemed to work pretty good.

Did the NCAA Legalize Cheating? Coach Chan Gailey Weighs In

"NCAA did such a terrible job. I mean, they followed it all the way to the Supreme Court and everybody telling them you're probably gonna lose this. This is just, you know, they kept on college presidents, though, an athlete record. We're encouraging it. They lost, but they had no plan B and now you got Bryce young at Alabama is making over a $1 million a year in NLR and IO partnerships. You've got kids. I mean, how can not say this is, I mean, it's just, it's one, it's not Pro Bowl. I mean, it is not pro ball. It is pro ball now. Number two, this plays into, you know, used to when you were coaching like if I was one of your big alumni. You know, it was a wink wink not. I couldn't suppose to have any dealing with the player. Now, I can have my all set up, and I can offer them before they ever get to say, if you know if you come here, I got a $1 million sitting here. Waiting. I mean, did we legalize the NCAA really just legalized cheating? Yes, that's all it was. They legalized it. And they did it in the name of doing what's right by the players. And I get that and to a certain degree, but I've been wanting to know is all along that said, okay, you want to pay the players, let's put $20,000, $25,000 every year they're there. And when they walk out, they get every one of them, not the quarterback, not the left half, hold not the linebacker, all of them, when they graduate, if they've been there 5 years, they get 5 times whatever it was. And they got a 100,000, a $120,000 when they walk out the door. But everybody wants it now. Everybody wants it now. We're analysis society. And I deserve it and give it to me now. And there's no white on anything. So it is pro ball, it's just, you know, a different way to do it.

"I want you to just sort of candidate because, you know, if you listen to sports radio, you listen to the college. There's a lot going on right now in college football and from your time coaching there. It's changed having a channel with an introduction to the name image and likeness with the introduction is portal situation. Is there a concern and we'll get into the specifics of both those. But I just want to ask a general question. Is there a concern that all of a sudden with some of these issues and the NCA not doing anything to really rein it in right now that in some ways in the college football is becoming a minor league and I'm not saying it's a minor league, but there's this sort of idea that it's more like a pro kind of ball because of what we're seeing with this. Well, yeah. I mean, it's been taken for granted for years that college football is the NFL's minor league system. But there was somebody else controlling it that had some idea about, okay, let's keep the character part involved. Let's keep the education part involved. Let's not let these guys feel like they're just straight semi pro guys, but in the last few years, we have taken this thing Doug to it it's full blown semi pro. We're paying the guys. Some are more make more, to be honest with you. Some of them will make more in college than they will in the NFL because you're guessing you're paying these guys and guess and what they're going to be worth. And that is the tough situation for colleges right now.

"Chain galy here, coach, extraordinaire, both pro level, college level, just a great guy that you've got to know here on the podcast. And today is going to be about college football. We may fill in a little bit of pro football, but we're going to hit college. Don't have Chan back in a few weeks and we'll get started after the pro football season starts as well. But Chan, welcome back to the dot com's podcast. Thanks, Doug. It's always great to be with you and looking forward to the day. We get to talk a little football. It is. Ken, what about the day like today when you actually sit back and sort of look at this and say, is this coach and then back when you play, now far enough? This is the time of the year you get so excited in it. Oh, very much, so. And, you know, this is the time of year. Everybody thinks this is the year. You know, this is our year. We're going to get it done this year. Everybody thinks that. So it's a great opportunity for the young men that play the gang young men and women. I guess there's probably a few ladies that are playing somewhere, but it's a great opportunity because everybody's excited. Coaches and players are excited and alumni. They're all excited right now. 2022 NFL Draft Picks With Coach Chan Gailey

"On the clock. Number one again. Second year in a row. What are they going to have? Everything. I mean, seriously. Would you be asking for a trade? No. I think that quarterbacks in general have a certain level of cockiness that they need, and they thank a just get us a little bit. We can go in. And you need that kind of guy that believes in himself so much that he thinks he can take the team and get to where it needs to get to, like a Joe burrow. Joe, I mean, he's got some players around him. Just happened this past year that they got it all together. But it can happen in a short period of time that you can put together some people via free agency and draft and get what you need. To make the next step. But I think everybody would be shocked if they didn't take 8 and hutchison and I could see him taking Ed and Neil from Alabama as offensive tackle to help. Right. Because they do have Trevor Lawrence and they want to protect him. But whatever they're playing is do it. You know, don't just get enamored as you said. Don't get the shiny object out there and what just because the pundits say are going to say, God, what a stupid pick that was. If you don't pick the guy, they think you should be. Or make sure that you pick the guy you believe is going to be the best for your team. Well, always

Coach Chan Gailey and Doug Discuss NFL Free Agency

"Free agency, there are some teams that focus draft and free agency. There are some that tend to focus a lot of agency some tend to do draft more than anything else. How is free agency? Affected or does it affect your draft scenarios? Very much so. Oh, very much, so. If you can fill a whole on your football team via the free agency before you get to draft, then you tend not to push a guy in the draft, then he should be. And so, you know, oh gosh, we're desperate for a wide receiver, then you push somebody up a little bit higher than you should, but if you got one in free agency, now you don't have to make that push to free push that guy up the board. And just so we don't lose trying to cause my age. Okay. Going back to quarterbacks for just a second. Right. Personally, I'd rather have Baker Mayfield than any of those guys that are coming out this year. If I were one of those teams, I'd go get biker might feel before I'd take any of these guys.

"The one thing you said is sort of interesting to me is the head coach setting the tone. And I think this sort of sets up very well and Dan Reeves is one that people need. I think more coaches should look at his style and how he didn't think he was never the most flashiest out front, but he got the job done. And as we come into a time like this, you talk about learning how to set up practices and other things, you know, the mechanics of football. But Dan also took the time when you said to trust, is that becoming such a, I mean, is that one of the issues that we're seeing now coach with teams and NFL's where your owners, the interplay between coaches, coaching staff, owners is not what it used to be, where you had that central dominant sort of head coach figure. Well, unfortunately, coaching right now is no different than society. It's a society. You know, what's in it for me, what's good for me, so everybody's trying to protect their entity and you have, from when I started in mid 80s to now, I see a bigger disparity between the trust level between front office and coaching staff. And ownership and front office and coaching staff. It's just become more divided rather than becoming more together. And really, right now, the people that have the most patience are the Steelers. And through the years, it's proven out. They've got patients. They've got trust. They found the guy. They believe in and they go with him and they don't bail at the first sign of the adversity and so it's been it's been, it was fun to be a part of their organization for the four years. I was there. "It. We got NFL Draft this week. Coming up next week. And so we're giving you a preview today of what this strap is going to look like, but I wanted to do it a little bit differently. And I coach Gayle and I have been talking a lot over the last year about football and live and how it all relates. But getting into the specifics now, the draft, I think it's going to be really interesting as we take a look at some of the mechanics behind the scenes. We always see the grand entrance of Roger Goodell coming out and with the first pick in the draft, so and so. And but there's a lot that goes on behind the scenes here. And I want to talk about then get into some of the specifics and how you're judging, you know, I think Chan unit is you're going to see Chan Gayle and I've talked about this for you're judging 20 year olds. And saying, you're making millions of dollars decisions based on 20 year olds. So it's going to be a good time. So Chan, welcome to the podcast. It's glad to have you. Thank you, Doug. "Myself to I can not get rid of her, I accidentally asked her to be a bridesmaid and my wedding and I don't know what to do because I talked to my therapist. I have talked to friends. I have talked to family, and they all say, she can not be at your wedding. She can't even be invited. She is terrible to you. And I'm like, oh, yes, absolutely. How do I do that? Without being haunted the way that I was haunted when it ended my relationship with my best friend in senior year. Because all of the situations are coming up, oh, I'm going to be haunted about this for the rest of my life. My therapist told me to ghost her, my therapist told me to ghost her. I am repeating that because that is wild. I can not do that. She lives in Canada. I do not live in Canada. I can't even talk to her in person. And whenever she calls me, she's with me. It's her therapist to talk about whatever shitty boyfriend she's going out with. So help. Please, and thank you. Love the pod. Thank you very much. Andy, you have two back to back wealthy manipulators. Welcome and it was not the I had written down platonic relationship disaster. And you didn't realize it was with a wealthy woman. I thought I think our voice sounded great. And also a sinus infection for four weeks. It sounds like you're being haunted right now. Someone has put a hex on you. That is the stress definitely your body can not fight it off. Now, what is with you and these wealthy way band? You can't control these people, but you can control yourself. Why do you keep seeking these people out, especially when they treat you poorly? Her financially? I bet it's fun at first. You know? I think the friend. Yeah, I've had, I have had friends that are wealthier than me. And yeah, and it's fun or even wealthier than you and you're like, yeah, I wanna go to this fun thing and my other friends aren't gonna wanna do it, but I know this bitch well, you know? Yeah, yeah. You're a friend that's always down kind of vibe. But it sounds like she's picking the wrong type. I mean, I think you know this. I lost a bridesmaid. Did not pass, but I had a I had a falling out with a bridesmaid and who was wealthy. And it doesn't sound like she's gonna be able to do this and the girl and I have since been in communication. She has gotten married. She's actually expecting a child and so I congratulated her on the baby. I still invited her to the wedding and she went on. But you mind if I ask what happened? Yeah, you know, we had like a we had had like a fight once. And it had been, I thought, just kind of blown out of proportion because of drinking. And then I thought we got over it and had buried it, but she came to my bachelorette party and it was very much not buried. And so and so the behavior was pretty wild and it was someone from a time in my life and at something like a bachelorette party you have friends from every part of your life. And so this person had been compartmentalized just around the friends I had at that time, but then you have childhood friend you have comedy friendship. All these different friends seeing behavior going, what the fuck's happening here. And so then it made me be like, oh, am I a ding dong? And so you have so I ended up I also don't like the way I confront her about it, but I was so angry and hurt and just like baffled. And I ended up being like, I'm not telling you. I'm not throwing you out of the wedding. You can not be in my wedding and behave to me the way you did. And she basically was like, I don't want to be in the wedding and I don't want to be your friend. And so she made that decision. I don't think this sounds like that's an opportunity for this girl because it seems like this woman does not know. I think you gotta I honestly think you could write an email. If your therapist is saying ghost, then I think she's gonna haunt you. Yes, right, right. If you go someone, they're gonna haunt you. Yes. Those are two SAT things that go together. So it's like, yeah, could you just write an email and be like, you know, the friendship is actually not working for me. I do not want you in my wedding. I'm sorry if this is blind sighting you, but I like what you said. I'm sorry to interrupt you, but what you said even to your friend and again, they may not be in the same situation where the person who has been terrible realizes, you know what had happened. Yeah. But you saying, you can not be in my wedding and continue to treat me the way you have. I think it's perfectly applicable sentence in this situation because and again, you guys don't live near each other, you said this person's in Canada. So it's like, again, you're choosing to write or call is not you copying out. You know, 'cause you don't live near each other. So that's your option. And if you said, the way, you know, and I think writing is always better too, because it's like, this is what I said in black and white. You can't say I said it with an attitude or read into whatever, and you know, and just be like, these are some of the things that you've done that I do not, you know, that I can not stand for anymore, but if that person's toxic, won't they just say something like, okay, I won't do that again. Nope. No, they continue to. But continue to retro mutagen.

Yes. Thank you. Thank you. I have not been not only have I no one named shit after me. No one's even invited me back to give a graduation speech. And what the fuck is up with that? Well, and see, this isn't my high school. No, this is the city of Indianapolis. And I'm really Pennsylvania, where are you at? I know. I know. And the thing is I didn't give any money. I don't agree with the politics. It's like, I am, I did help campaign for a city councilwoman. And so she has got it, obviously, for me. But I'm like, I want nothing more than to be on the wall of fame at my high school. And my mom taught me recently that her friend's daughter who's very lovely. Is on there and she was like a conductor at Princeton. I'm like, listen, that's cool. But I'm on TV. Okay, so just that Princeton? Yeah. Like they're not a conductor like in the New York philharmonic or anything like that. Bullshit. There's like a doctor. There's like an oncologist on there. I'm like, that's not even. I think you did Lance Armstrong. It's like we all hate him now. You've got the doctor. You should be taking off for helping land. Well, we should definitely be like, who else you got? You know? You might have to find something. That's fine. That's fine. So wait, Megan, when did you start dating? For real, for real. Wow. I started dating probably in college. And it was the athletes because you were the sorority right from freshman year. Yeah. And you joined my year we joined gosh like the second week of school. So we were like in it pretty fast. But yeah, the first guy that I dated at Purdue was a wide receiver on the football team. And his nickname even amongst the other football players, his nickname was no clue. That's how that's how dim he was. So, so what attracted to him? He was really hot. It was really hot. How long did that relationship last if he's not very proud? So we ended up gosh. We dated like freshman year for a little bit, and then junior year, I kept going back to the well. And he was never like, I probably would have been fine calling him my boyfriend. I don't think he would have called me his girlfriend. Oh no. Well, you know these football players, they're hard to nail down. Is that what you like though? You like a different you like a man where it's difficult? No. No, because it made it definitely like, I don't know. Well, actually the first guy I ever made out with in college was this guy who was a defensive end. And he was so big. I remember he walked. He was in my theater class. It was like theater one O one where you know it's like 200 students. You're not like doing monologues or whatever. And he walked in and he was probably 6 5 to 90, like a giant man. He since went on to be in the NFL. And I think I kicked out because it was not a nice good person or whatever, but I remember making what do you have to do to get kicked out of the NFL? They didn't even kick out the guy that did the dog fighting. Did they? Well, you have to be not that good too. You have to be like, do something. And he did something like maybe kind of bad, but they were also like, you're not as good as we wanted you to be. But he had made a Pro Bowl. So I guess it was pretty good. But we were making out in his apartment. And while we were making out, he made sports centers top ten. And it came on the TV while we were making out and I was like, wow. But like at the time, I remember being like, I'm still wearing a pad. Yeah. I was a young, I was like, even a young 18. But you were like, well, first of all, can we talk about SportsCenter being on in the background that was kind of the aphrodisiac for the two of you? For sure. At all. For sure. For sure. But then he made the NFL has never talked to.

"I do want to just say before, you know, for the listener, I did call Meghan and we started recording and you know that's just what it is right now to have both my husband and my wife on the same podcast. It is a lot. I hope you guys don't fight, but I think this is also gonna be really good for you too. I think so. You call your wife. Now, do you have to pay child support? No. And that's what makes the marriage work. I have decided I am going to register for a Gucci diaper bag. So if she wants to get me that, I'll be happy. And we're not, we're not getting you the first. I'm gonna tell you that right now. You're gonna get a high chair, you're gonna get controller. Those are cheaper. I mean, the Gucci diaper bag is cheaper than a stroller. It's the Gucci part. It's about supporting it. He won't support it. I won't see the movie. I won't support I won't support the house of it all. Oh, right, right, right, right, right. Oh, yeah, yes. I forgot. After what they did. Megan, I want to say this. I know Naomi said this to you in real life. Maybe even on your podcast together. But a deceptive white woman if I may say that. Wow. Wow. I don't mean you are deceptive yourself, but I mean, your whiteness is deceptive. Yes. Okay. Hit a dump. I would like to hear you as a white man explain it to me. Oh. You're inviting man's playing? Yes. Oh my God, I love listening to men talk. Give me give me more. Give me more. Give me give me more. Well, first, let's start with the X-Men. And let's go. Right through deep X-Men history. And that's I think a good place for me as a man. As a man for your need to start the man's plan. Well, because you know I got questions about that. CJ took me to something and I go, where's Wonder Woman? He goes different universe. And I go, they're all together at this point. You know, just give it. I don't care that she's not in marvel, give her to me. That's not how it works, Megan. You don't care how it works. It's not real. But as the shuffling esquire will know, is that there are IP issues? Yeah. Yeah. Well, you have to tell me why you think she's a deceptive white woman. No, no, no, because you give off the vibe of yes. But you are decidedly not even in the vicinity of a Karen. That's why. Even in the vicinity. Two plane rides away. You need a connecting flight to get to the same thing. I do have to let you know, I'm flying home on the 22nd because my dad is having heart surgery. And my mom just texted me, bring a bathing suit. What are you gonna do? Indiana in December. How could it be for what reason? I have no idea. I'm only bringing up because it just flashed on my screen and it's like, what? I gotta do some laps at the JCC. Yeah, we're going to great wolf lodge to celebrate his new ticker, I guess. Oh my goodness. Now, Megan, though, speaking of your mom, texting, and I think this is something Andy and I are always very fascinated by you are very close with your parents. Totally close with your mother. Now we're all always besties. I know you're the only daughter. So was it always just like mommy's girl? Or was it once you became girl? Yeah. I know what you call it. It's so foreign to me. Mommy's girl is definitely a good lifetime title. We should type that into the search. Yeah, so I'm the youngest and only girl and my mom was the youngest and only girl. And so I think she was thirsty. I think this bitch would have kept going until they had a girl. You know? She just would have had 7 duggars or whatever. Hopefully no pedophiles. And hoped for a girl. Yeah. So when I was born, it was, you know, lots of bows and all of my bloomers had my initials on it. You know, just like very over the top girly girly girly stuff. That explains why you are so girly now. Yes. You were always. Yeah, and my mom, I mean, my mom is like, chic, but she does dress like a child going to Easter mass. Belt shoot per smashing, and you're like, oh my God. You know, which is like, which if I still lived in Indiana, would definitely be my look, but CJ has helped me be like, not everything needs to be the same shade of blue. So yeah, I do think we were, but I also was, for the sequel to mommy's girl, a daddy's girl, too. And maybe that's just 'cause both of my brothers were mean. My parents were like, well, just take her as our own. You are a parent's girl. I'm a big time parent girl. But I'm also really close with my brothers too. So you just get along with everyone. What is this life where everyone's Friends? Well, I mean, I start therapy when I was 14. It's not like it's been an easy road. You did? Why? Well, actually 12. Probably 12. 12. Yeah. That's what makes it very interesting. But you're from my neck of the Woods..

And you know, you've all been given up, which is I don't like when I hear that phrase. I don't like it, but at the same time I do understand what you're saying, but you know, what if you just got a space heater and stuff is junk next to the space heater? What? Why would that what do you mean? Don't go in. Oh. If it's cold if that's what's going on. Are they scared? Are they like sure they could be scared? They could be sensi. Right, but I scared, but she's like they're going inside and are they like they hear the razor sound? It's like pavlovian. And they're like, I'm gonna get out of here. I gotta retreat back up into the. Well, you know, you know, they say, you know, the vagina has a memory. And so who is they? Yeah, maybe he's balls were like, uh uh, and they just go, we gotta get out of here. We gotta get out of here. Now, this is a good movie where each of us are voicing testicles. Each of us I like it. So you don't think a person's testicles has one voice. No, no. Testicle is its own place. Yeah. So it's like that. What's that movie? What's that supermarket Seth Rogen movie where they're all talking and they're all vulgar? Sausage part, yes, so that, except with genitals with actual genitals. Okay, and not just the food standing in for dinner. Yeah, it's called sausage party. By the way, this is not that kind of show. I just got everyone. We have to. We have to step it out. People, if you are new here, this is not how we do all the time. But you're gonna hear that you know what? More to come. You know, that's like some of your resolution vibes. Being like, you know what? I'm gonna let go and let God Visa V, the testicular hair, okay? Bravo took a moment to reply. Echo wondered if perhaps she was trying to think of a way to explain some terrible monstrous modification practice in words that wouldn't make him reboot in a panic. Drop delta drone is named Geordie. The humans modified Geordie to make it easier for them to pick up eggs and feed the chickens because that is the word geordi most wanted to do. Observe enforce, record, report. That was the programming. There was nothing in the programming about names or pronouns, or please. There was nothing in the programming about friendship or desire. Or morality. A delta model wasn't supposed to want to care for chickens and an echo model wasn't supposed to envy them for doing it. All of this was too tempting. They flew together over another backyard. This one with an unapproved garden in it. Another Delta model was in this yard, his aft fan blowing dust off a solar panel. Nearby, a human was using a laser pointer to guide a Charlie model toward a charging dog. The human was an adult female with one arm. Echo couldn't remember a record of an adult female with one arm on the farmstead, which didn't make sense. It was the kind of thing that would have been on file. The DAE had several unofficial policies regarding the kinds of people who were allowed to live and work on farmstead allotments..

There's plenty of those already out there. There's plenty of knob creeks. I drink now creek at home. Okay not creek. I wa if you go to my house. I've probably got eighty something bourbons that are have open court and that's that's small even asthma. My wife yet. that's not even crazy right So i like all kinds of birds. That aren't even you know so but puts up to for us to take the time and effort that we don't really have to go put out something in a bottle. That's no one's really going to lie. Just because we want someone to think they're going to like it. The market will tell you real quick that it sucks and we don't want to have that happen so we've got this label and we've got this this blue label. Yeah we're yes. "Well you're pro. Government cats oilfield. So i think you're fine but anyways so it's very difficult to do this. And and it's and it normally takes years of regulations. It costs hundreds of thousands of dollars to get your license from the federal government. The state you know. I mean think about your taxes. And you're saying we're too dudes up in the hills of sister dell which for those who don't know is sort of just south of luca bach. It's bernie south of luca bach beautiful area east of east of fredericksburg. So we're just between san antonio and nice in austin hill country. Gary brothers fifteen minutes that way then mylan which is a fantastic texas bourbon for you guys out there who have not had the milem outta block. Otx been my mylanta with the alamo. Okay ancestors Are are part of that that that outfit denault that graber okay So there are some good. There are some good texas bourbons. That's that's one of them but anyways so they're all out there because of the water leaking into in that minute too but actually forgot was talking about the for the four tiered system. The one hundred thousand dollars to get this. It's expensive So that's the point is you're asking like sort of what it went through so it. It's expensive the government if you can imagine the government being long tedious expensive. Full red tape never heard such thing. What is heavily regulated. It's very expensive. It takes three to four years to get all your licensing. We did it in about eighteen months. How will because my business partners and attorney and he knows how to serve as a bad ass so when we bring again bringing back to to our particular. Bourbon we're focusing. We're not a distiller who is trying to also do law on the side in higher legal and we we already have as part of what the distilling company brings for us as we've got all the infrastructure to run a business right so we were able to to run through an in about. Eighteen months would took about three to four years. Was there ever a point where you're like. This is the first of the factory. Eighteen months ago. Seems to me like the beginning of code. I think that's about started three years ago but Yeah we came out. We launched in november of last year. So we were a full. You know almost anniversary of when kovic started happening in europe so do the process before you were just kind of jump through the hoops word yet for co was a thing. Okay and then we're like now we're ready to go to lodge like the girls shutting down. So what was that like launch a no bourbon during lockdown. When obviously liquor liquor sales were skyrocketing right because people at the house drinking early retail liquor store so was lies but restaurants like the petroleum club shutdown shutdown. So the other thing you have to understand is alcohol sales between october. November december is kinda like black friday for retailers. If you're not on the shelf already in august target is not going to pick you up november in the middle of holidays like some new products and new widget targets. Not going to pick you up walmart going to pick you up amazon. Like your shutdown if you're not if you're not in the summer in.

"Tickets left J. I'm sure there are. Let's check that you're bringing that up. And this whole big thing with the hustle home. Get the DVR going. May we get on? StubHub Surprised You're still here. To be honest with you. Let's do this. What you had to take an extended bathroom break. ESPN was all over this game last night, they were drooling about sexism. Yes, one The Oklahoma Tech game was on their running like almost four highlights. Talking about it as it really is truly a two V six and nothing else had happened. You know? I don't know. Well, I didn't hear anything about how the team the band just got back together. Literally. A day ago, they said, Well, we'll get into that. And, you know in the coverage tonight, but, yeah, I mean, obviously, these air two teams coming from Watching that made me much more excited in my mind. It kind of fooled me. Then I would have if I would have liked thought about it. In my mind. The Longhorns have had what one game in the last 2.5 weeks on and just practice with the full squad for the first time in 19 days on Sunday. Is that what they said $64 gets you and Vito, You gotta buy four tickets, I think. Can you just buy two of them now? You gotta buy all four of them. A mezzanine level. 75 section 75 real 15. That's a little high for my mom. A lot of walking. Yeah, I'm gonna be watching that came on TV. But, yeah, we'll have more on that game before we get out of here. And, of course, tomorrow recap everything that happens there before we get to our gambling segment here. One other thing from the NFL is you see this? This is seems silly to me. Dolphins are gonna hire two offensive coordinators co offensive coordinators. You know what I always say veto it takes to mortal men to do the work that Chan Gailey did very poorly left former Cowboys coach Chan Gailey one season as the Miami Dolphins offensive coordinator. You know, look kind of good when the Ryan Fitzpatrick is running the show Not so good when two without their running the thing. But, yeah, the Dolphins are promoting Eric Studios Ville Studs Bill stood still and George Godsey to co offensive coordinators. Have yet to the side who will call the place. How is that gonna work? How can you have to That seems silly. I mean, we're gonna run into quarterback system to hears it right. If you have two offensive coordinators, you have zero. Here's the thing. The guy who calls the plays Is the offensive coordinator. I'm actually looking at Eric the enemy on the screen right now, And that's I guess, unfair tow him, And I really disappointed and sort of blown away that he didn't get one of these head coaching jobs this offseason, But Andy Reid calls the plays for the Kansas City Chiefs. He is the architect of that offense, Eric the enemy. I'm not in the you know. Does he run? The practice is he's Duma. I'm not exactly sure. But if I said one guy's in charge of that offense is the guy who calls the place and so what the Dolphins are doing here, where they've already named. Too offensive coordinators, but haven't figured out who's gonna call place distinct to me. Thanks to me Beat. Oh, I don't like it. Don't like it from what we just saw last year with I mean, with the progression of two are some might say the lack thereof. Throw it in another. I don't know, a voice. Yeah. Seems a little risky to me. They're Miami team Seems weird there. Alright. Every day this week, Counting down to the Super Bowl of 5 30, we bring you some of our favorite prop bets. Beato. You asked for it. You got it. Tom Brady is four and five in his previous nine Super Bowls against the spread. Ah, he has covered the spread four time despite winning six of them. He's covered the spread four times. ST. Louis his first one remember, They were huge of 14 Point dogs that first one and then it's been more recent. They covered versus Seattle. Sorry about that producer brand go horse, didn't we just have the anniversary of the day? When when they decided to throw in staff? No handed up? No, that never happened. It wasn't yesterday today. I think that was one like that. By the way, I still is today. Oh, it is today. Today's the anniversary six years ago that they decided not to give it to Marshawn Lynch instead through throw the ball. Yes, I think you and I like to throw but roll Russell Wilson out there, And we're not to get into that again. The Atlanta game, the one where they were down 28 to 3. They actually went into overtime and covered that one. And then versus the rands when they held the Rams of three points a couple of years ago. Yeah, if you have any more homework for me, Andy. Oh, come come with me. Okay. Now all Patrick Mahomes related Super Bowl prop bets. I'll tell you. There are thousands of these. And now digging through him every day can get worn out on the profits. But let me tell you that. Let me know where you wait. Stop making them. I mean, you don't have to bet on all of them, Patrick my home's total yards. The Linus 325 and a half 3 25.5 got to be the highest line that they've ever said for a Super Bowl quarterback 3 25.5, which way you leaning Paedo. Could he put up to 80 then even still need like Another 45 somewhat yards Russian. I'm kind of like what if they get out to what if they get out to a big lead and then start running the ball eyes under? Maybe the smart play here I also ah, kind of less. I said earlier. I'd be a little worried about fragile Patrick Mahomes asking without all of his offensive lineman there. What if he? You know what if he's a he winds up in the locker room, generous with him getting a 40 yard dash in there, But I probably go over just because he's the best. The 3 25.5 is the line there. How about this Patrick Mahomes distance of his first touchdown pass over under 12.5 yards. I'll go over on Patrick Mahomes. Yeah, Z under his got that all the juice on it under looks like the favorite, but it's it with Tyree Kill in that offense, Doesn't it seem like there's gonna be a bomb in there somewhere like that? They're gonna have some with some long passing plays in there. Even though I think that you're going to see because of the lack of you know the banged up offensive line. I think you're gonna see a whole lot more. Short passes. Quick dump off that little shovel pass thing that they like to do, But yeah, I would. I would be been better. You know, you dump that off and you give it to somebody who can take a dump anywhere and what? You heard me. It's she passes. Tyreke will take that dumb and you'll take it anywhere straight.

Tua Tagovailoa vs. Belichick's Defense: A Challenge

"Get into the Dolphins. Now we have to start with to Greg. I watched him last week and I see a number of very good things from him, you know, the answer the anticipatory throws is great anticipation is accurate and he's really smart and you know football IQ is through the roof when you see him, he's diagnosing what the defense is doing and the first time around you might surprise him. It's very difficult to surprise in the second or third time around very smart guy doesn't have the strongest arm in the world, but he can move around in the pocket a little bit and he's got enough Armstrong. Had a downfield but I mostly pay attention to his accuracy his anticipation in his intelligence. I think that's what would separate too from some of the other younger quarterbacks that we've seen come into the league and so it's fascinating Greg this matchup. I remember we talked about the Justin Herbert matchup Belichick's record his resume against rookie quarterbacks or even just your quarterbacks first time in so we're going to have to who was very football Savvy and has a high football iQ going against Bill Belichick who of course has the Mind against rookie quarterbacks wage. What do you make of to his game in? What do you think the Patriots will try to do on Sunday to Rattle him. I'm looking at I thought you did a great job with your Scouting Report. I thought you know what I agreed on all those points, especially, you know, I think where he shows off to me is the football like you he he sometimes he will hang on to a play a little bit too long. I think that's probably a place. Where they've been working with him, he did that a couple of times against Kansas City, you know, but largely had a feel for what's going on. He knows how to get rid of the ball. I think Chan gailey's done a real nice job with him sort of slowly bringing him along and you know, yes, everybody's going to talk about Bill Belichick and his record against rookie quarterbacks, you know, but one thing you have to keep in my practice, you know, this is this is a rookie quarterback with Brian Flores, you know next to him who's so I assume Brian all week is showing him all Patriots film and say look, this is what they're going to do to you. This is this is what we would do to everybody. These are going to be the calls whatever you see don't trust your eyes before the snap. There's always going to be somebody dropping there's going to be they're going to be doing this song. I think that's going to be a huge asset for them. I think that Ted Karras at Center is going to be a huge asset for them cuz he knows how the Patriots, you know like to pressure cuz he's been here for so long. The Patriots know his weaknesses. Teddy's a pretty good pass protector. He struggles more in the Run game. But I do think you'll see the Patriots try to try to get him to move his feet side-to-side off a little bit slow. So I think you know targeting him with some t e stunts inside and things like that might generate some pressure. But yeah, I think I think that too is pretty good job to see if guys like DeVante Parker and get sick e who who, you know, we're beat up in the last game, you know, whether they'll be able to play because your talent talking about some really talented guys there. I mean God, I can't believe how far gesicki the tight end has come and I know Belichick basically called him a big wide receiver this week, which I think is accurate but he's damn good at what he does in a mash-up. Yeah and the one question and you know, we'll get into our picks and a little bit before we get this n'keal Harry thing you want to talk about and of course we still have the member question of the day on this pod. But you know the weapons right for Miami, we we talked about the weapons about the Patriots all the time. But when you look at the weapons of Miami, I think last week I saw something that too was down at one point in that game. He was down his top six receivers. So including Titan including tight end. So if you know if Grant is out if Parker is out if they're just you know off 60% if you know kasicki is out Myles Gaskin was on the covid-19 this last weekend, that's their guy who they've been running the football with what is it Ahmed salvano salvano, may I forget which way it goes his name, but he's the other running back on the roster. He's been dinged up. So this is a team if they're banged up. I don't know what they can do offensively. I mean, I like to a long shot, but the one thing that jumped out at me watching that Kansas City game and maybe it's just because Kansas City is so full of explosiveness and speed but the one thing that jumped out at me watching the Dolphins offense It's Not Dead. Dynamic like say they don't have explosion and DeVante Parker could be that guy at times but he's been banged up. He's got a hammy so I don't know if he's going to play but they lack if there's one thing they need to add immediately to that Miami offense to help to a is somebody who can be

Patriots Dolphins NFL Tua Tagovailoa Bill Belichick Football Justin Herbert Bill Belichick Greg Belichick Brian Flores Ted Karras Devante Parker Chan Gailey Armstrong Kansas City Gesicki Keal Harry Brian Teddy Kasicki Myles Gaskin
